Booked a room with 2 beds and a sleeper sofa early Friday for a late-night arrival through Booking-dot-com Room was approved and paid for Called later to verify check-in time

Arrived at 11:30PM after driving 7 hours with two minor children and my disabled wife I was told that Booking-dot-com “overbooked” it We had to scramble to find a room nearby at midnight and ended up at the Motel 6 next door Payment and fees were refunded, but will take “at least 7 business days to process”, putting us down $200 400+ miles from home Comfort Suites was absolutely no help, unwilling to grant a partial refund, and left us to fend for ourselves Did Booking-dot-com overbook? Did Comfort Suites give it away? We’ll never know Worst experience ever from all sides

First off there is a $50 charge incase of damage added to your cost It is credited back to you after checking out within I believe it was 7-10 days The lady that checked us in made a point to tell everyone she checked in prior to them paying

Room was real clean Smelled fine (no off smell)Towels, blankets were cleanBed was firm however that didn’t ruin my sleep Kiddo said his sleep was amazing HahaShower is a little strange, no sliding door so the floor gets wet or the bath mat However, the water temperature was nice and hotThe pool was open Water was a bit cloudyBut nonetheless clean

My fiancé and I booked a suite at the Youngstown location Staff was very friendly when we checked in Our room was clean, smelled good, except for the hot tub

Not only did it have hair stuck to the drains, the jets wouldn’t turn on at all We reached out to the front desk and they stated they would reset the breaker After over two hours of trying to get it working and the front desk saying maintenance wasn’t in they told us to speak with management the next day to see what could be done When we checked out, management wasn’t in We have reached out multiple times and have left messages with no calls back For the price of that room on a weekend, you would think they would want to make things right Not sure if we will stay there again, even though it is a very nice hotel

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staffRooms are clean and spaciousBreakfast was lean on choices but was ok

There is no self laundry services at this hotelBut another option is going to North Road coin laundry You can drop off clothes and have them back same day!

Zach Marsh

It was a pretty standard experience Rooms are what most would expect in a modern hotel Rooms were standard fare with 2 beds, tv, refrigerator, desk, wifi, sufficient lighting, bathroom with the standard shampoo bottles and soap bars, good water pressure, sufficient towels(in the room), etc

The lobby was on the smaller side The coffee bar appeared to be accessible however I didn’t partake (Starbucks is literally +/- 200 yards away score!) The front desk attendant was a little dismissive At one point, no one was there and I had to call out and knock on a door to get someone to come out When she finally did, the interaction left me feeling like I interrupted her dinner The pool was also on the smaller side, but we had fun We had to ask for towels because none were in the cart There’s also only about 10 chairs in there so if you have a bunch of people wanting to sit down, seating is limitedAgain, a pretty standard experience, which isn’t bad by any means Its just something you come to expect The rooms weren’t exceptional, neither was the service, just your average, forgettable hotel Would blend right in with other stays if it wasn’t for the family we stayed with

Jarreth Ackerman

This place used to be wonderful to stay at It is still a wonderful hotel However, their pricing is not in accordance with their traffic, season, or area

They are on average 25% higher than Fairfield Inns in similar areas Most hotels have increased by 40% in price on average over the last two years This Fairfield has doubled their price somehow It’s incredibly expensive compared to other hotels

This is a great place to camp Plenty of shade trees and amenities The sites are concrete and level

Sites include cable TV And the restrooms are well maintained and cleanLarge investments have been made to improve infrastructure such as new pool and sewage treatment plant At the moment this construction is underway but does not effect camping ( no pool at moment , memorialday) A couple of the interior roads are feeling the affects of the construction traffic but will also be only temporaryGood to see improvements and upgrades to continue the enjoyable camping experience for all ages

Andy Stewart

First impressions are everything! This place, they don’t care Stopped at the store to check in, was rudely told, packet ate in the mailbox out front Get you and figure it out

No welcome to out campground, just very rude staff who can’t be bothered to do their job! Have t even had a chance to explore the campground and already I don’t wanna come back!

We read the reviews and were finally convinced to give this hidden gem a try Yes, it is on the premises of a truck wash/trucker’s mall But it was clean, comfortable, and our room on the ground floor and away from the parking lot was very quiet

The staff was pleasant and efficient We’ll stay here again on our way to visit family in Illinois!

This hotel is located in a renovated historical building My husband and I stayed in a room for two nights The price was reasonable for the quality

The hotel has all of the typical amenities as well as unique amenities such as an onsite restaurant and self-parking that costs extra I recommend parking in the lot rather than the public garage The employees at the front desk were courteous, and upon our request, another employee brought extra towels to our room within minutes The building and our room were in excellent condition and were very clean

Don Vanderpool

Front desk was pretty rude But the shower was so slow the water wouldn’t even come out far enough to take a good shower You had to bump up to the wall

It kept changing temperature from cold to hot We found a used q-tip next to the bed It is a beautiful hotel Our room was large But for $200 a night I expect top quality and service I was disappointed overall

June Griese

Terrible!! I see all these 5 stars and wonder why? First things firstprice

Highway robbery Just based on that I will never come back I expect to pay 100-200 for a higher end double queen room but not $450 We only live a half hour away but came to watch a show and was trying to be responsible and not drive even with one beverage Second bad mark 12 more dollars for parking? really?Homeless man sitting outside car garage elevator gave us the creeps right off We were offered Hotel cookies ( credit where credits due)We get to our roomslow elevatorsThe room looks nice really, a bit extra room then your normalA couple more points Shower kept getting cool while showering, No breakfast included I repeatNo breakfast includedAt 450 I was expecting a free robeinstead we,re leaving hungry and broke

Enjoyed this property very much Starting with high level of service at the front desk Thank you Eleanor 😊 The pool & hot were very enjoyable

The pool area is very well done and the hot 🔥 tub nestled in the corner in an atrium style So relaxing The upkeep and cleanliness of property was refreshing My room was large comfortable and clean my new go to when in area

Rose Kelly

Stayed at this hotel with my husband and 2 younger children We stayed in a king suite and my kids enjoyed the giant jet tub The pool was smaller and shallow enough for even my youngest to fully enjoy, which was great! The hot tub area is beautiful as is the waterfall and seating area in the back of the hotel

This was one of the prettiest hotels we’ve stayed at The only issue we had was with the front desk staff initially assuming we would be having some kind of loud party (negatively judging us based on our appearance), but once we established we weren’t throwing a major rager the staff was courteous and attentive

Marcia Stowers

I just stayed here for a two day stay and I did not expect my stay to be this awesome This place is beautiful gives you resort vibes beautiful patio pool jacuzzi area Me and my two children only intended staying one night

After seeing how amazing it was I booked another night The staff was super friendly and welcoming always greeting and my children walking in and out!

It’s a decent hotel Continental breakfast is pretty good, rooms are clean although carpet is starting to look a little worn and dingy There’s a Giant Eagle grocery store down the road about a mile that is awesome, but not a big selection of restaurants in the vicinity

Niles is roughly 7 miles away and a has a bunch of options No on-site laundry, which is inconvenient for me because I work extended periods on the road Water will occasionally have an odor, but I noticed that at a different hotel in the area before

Kelly A

A friend and I were in town for a country concert We checked in Saturday around 3:00 pm

, the lady at the front desk was very helpful and informative She gave us advice about the venue that we were visiting later that evening I didn’t catch her name unfortunately From the time we checked in to the time we checked out the staff was more than helpful and accommodating They went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable The continental breakfast on Sunday was excellent I would definitely recommend this location

Doug Knight

When we checked in, two of the three rooms that I reserved was not cleaned from previous occupants The room I reserved was for family, and they provided room check in on different floors I had to specifically request rooms be on the same floor

Also, we had no hot water both mornings of my family’s stay The hot breakfast was the highlight of my family’s stay as well as access to pool for my kids

I gave them 3 stars on service because of the lack of communication They lacked to tell me you must request room service every day to have it done One front desk employee to us to check in by 2am to then later be told you must check in by 12am or be charged for an additional day

Most every other hotel I have ever stayed in upon checking in relayed the hotels amenities this hotel you were to figure it out on your own The pool and hot tub was great and room was clean and well kept (nothing broken)

Amy Guy

The room was really nice my only complaint with the room was the fridge didn’t work We bought fruit and lunch meats and chocolate milk, we ended up throwing it all away No blanket for the sofa bed either just sheets no pillowcase either

The breakfast was adequate and they kept it stocked up The evening staff was never at the desk we would have to call to get someone The coffee in the lobby was always empty and the creamer empty We would have to ask for coffee for our room The pool was very nice

Nichelle Justice

Great hotel with Lounge Stayed in a king suite, very nice, complete kitchen, along with dishes living room, bedroom with door to close off from rest of suite, indoor pool and jacuzzi Loved this hotel 100%

Front desk clerk was a little rude at check-in Saw me come in and didn’t not speak and went into lounge Waited as bout 10minutes for someone to check me in, which I had an reservation

Tara is perfect place for a couples get away The rooms are comfortable and homey; with a fireplace and jacuzzi, and the spa is a wonderful addition to any evening plans However the one thing that must be reviewed with 5 stars would be the staff

I don’t remember ever meeting a nicer, more respectful staff Any request my wife and I made was met with a smile on their face They are so friendly that it felt like they were simply people living there And as a history buff, being immersed in an 1850s style mansion kept me entertained our whole stay With artifacts from the civil war, to gone with the wind decor; my wife and I were very happy with spending time exploring the mansion to take in the history We plan on visiting again, and would recommend Tara to anyone considering a stay

Paul Patterson

Lauren and I just got married on July 16th, and spent our honey moon through seven states, for the last few days we spent our time at the Tara The only thing we regret is not staying there longer! Every aspect of the experience was terrific, from service, hospitality, to food Two lovely ladies come to mind by the names of “Ms Betsy” (hostess) and waitress “Ms

Debbie” filled our hearts with warmth and content The inn, as well the room is full of beautiful antiques, historian lovers will luster What also touched our hearts is the welcome tray waiting for us in our room Tara became the main phrase in our honey moon stories, and certainly future travels! Thank-You for making it such a wonderful experience!-Paul and Lauren Patterson

Wow It’s been a few years since we have been here A lot of changes and renovations

I had to inquire about Katie O’Hara’s room as it use to have a bath down a spiral staircase But I was informed they moved the bath to the same floor Now, since the renovation, there is a sitting room with an original fireplace that was uncovered behind the wall in the bath Really Cool

Very nice hotel with a gorgeous view of the hills The hotel is directly off the highway and is convenient for the wedding venue we were in town for, Iron Mills Weddings and Events The hotel has a beautiful lobby, a nice fitness center, pool, business center, conference room, and outdoor firepit area

The interior of the hotel is clean and updated, highly-recommend

The dirtiest hotel I ever stayed in!!!! Black mold in the shower, mildew build up on the sliding shower doors, to the point that this nasty brown gunk is coming off in clumps when you shower The vent fan obviously hasn’t been working for awhile due to the rust on the light fixtures and vent Base of the toilet clearly has vomit or urine also the toilet is not seated to floor anymore

The light makes loud clicking noises and this is a king suite that cost extra just to feel more filth and a slap in the face! I informed late night staff very nice and noted it for tomorrow Next morning the guy at the main desk seem board and could care less in the morning and simply told me house cleaning will be by Not what you want to hear with black mold, human waste your room

Liz Brown

Delicious breakfast Every day had a Gluten Free option There was always hot coffee available

The rooms were clean and no smell Everything worked The shower was great The staff was helpful and niceIt was better than I expected I will continue to stay at Hampton Inn’s

Lots to do, spacious sites, immaculately maintained, nice permanent residentsThe website gives clear directions to use 258 (Sandy Lake Rd) And then turn left onto Skyline Dr

If you take US 62 onto Skyline drive crosses Lamor Rdat a steep angle and will cause you to high center your RV or travel trailerI loved this campground The first thing that I noticed was that it was meticulously maintained The sites we rented were pull through and full hookup They had the pool, tennis courts, playground, a store and activities planned at the pavilion I hope to be back soon!

Chelsey Barto

Have been camping here many years and enjoyed it Finally decided to get a seasonal spot this year and everything is different New ridiculous rules, which we were not made aware of the changes this year until after we had already paid in full and moved onto our site

New managers apparently unfairly pick and choose which ones they feel like enforcing or not Prices have gone up Becoming less and less enjoyable I’d recommend exploring other options

Ron Hubbs

After reading reviews, we took a chance and booked Labor Day weekend 2021 So glad we did, this is a very nice campground with the staff and fellow campers being very outgoing and friendly Had awesome neighbors

Our site was on a hill, but made the best of it as we reserved late and got what was left Highly recommend as we will go back this year
