Our condo

an honest review Good location overlooking the 9th green, sorta Clubhouse restaurant close by, with some good food But, it stops there Not even a full roll of toilet paper in either bathroom Living room TV was set to demo modeimpossible to enjoy anything and the edges were dark, leaving a strip about ⅓ down the middle viewable Two different coffee makers neither of which worked No filters or coffee supplied Ceiling fan needed a manual push to start Lighting in the main hallway was dim Carpet was fraying and well used Ill fitting fitted sheets Table lamps that didn’t work Oven did not heat to set temperature All in all, a place to sleep, and eat, not to enjoy oneself

My husband called and made reservations When we got to the address, come to find out, we had to go to another location to a lockbox to get our keys since we came after hours The lockbox did not have our keys

We pulled up the email my husband received and went to a different location You had to get out and look for the lockbox but we found it Our keys were in there but that’s when we realized that we were staying at Barefoot Resort instead of River Oaks My husband was told we were staying there We tried to get someone on the phone but since it was after hours, everything was closed We will be checking out in the morning and demand for a refund They tricked my husband into staying in a rundown out dated room Not very pleased with River Oaks or Barefoot Resort

Loved the pool, loved the area Apartment was ok

but definitely not what we paid for We paid for a 2 bedroom w balcony We got a studio on bottom floor Notified them of the error & showed our receipt and still had to pay more to get the 2 bedroom w balcony King bed was 2 twins pushed together so if you sit a certain way it’ll come undone I don’t like the trick they played w the room price we ended up paying double

Hotel was clean, comfy and nice The staff was very friendly We flew in late so having a restaurant and little market on site was a huge plus

The kids enjoyed both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tub Smaller size but not crowded Our only complaint, the pool needed to be cleaned a little more but didn’t bother our kids! We would stay again

Dominique

So far so good I saw a previous post about the decorative curtains not closing Don’t be alarmed there’s black out curtains

Another post mentioned expensive snacks but I personally think the prices of the snacks are reasonable and customary It’s about convenience The location is great It’s near the beach, the mall, and too many food spots to count

Jay Baker

In town for the Myrtle Beach marathon and decided to give this place a try Location was good located right near the mall Not close to the strip or Broadway at The Beach but not far either which is what we liked

Away from all of the hustle and bustle and wild crowds Windy at the front dusk was exceptional and very welcoming! Our room was clean and spacious and we really enjoyed our stay

What a great makeover This Four Points Sheraton has been upgraded from its previous brand The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are very nice

Great selection of drinks and food at the bar Location is convenient and view of the Waterway is nice from your balcony If you are in town for business or vacation and don’t care about looking at the ocean, this is your choice Don’t pass this hidden gem up

Jill Kane

The place was alright

Beds were comfortable, shower & water pressure were great the lobby area is enormous Good, basic property in an area that’s surrounded by abandoned businesses that the city seems to be trying to revitalize (including this hotel itself, which was renovated in the last few years) Pricing was fair Good pick if you’re not looking for extra amenities Took advantage of an early check-in for booking direct through Marriott

Lee Cohen

The room was reasonably clean I got there and the sliding bathroom doors fell off the hinges and the air conditioner didn’t work Maintenance was there in moments and he was great

He got the door back on and manually lowered the air for us He had to go to the store to buy batteries In trying to finish with us, the front desk started waving him down from far down the hall, pulling him away from us I found that kind of rude by the front desk The body soap was also empty in the shower The rest of the service was great here The dude who checked me in was funny and personable The last thing that irked me was that the side doors didn’t look That’s not great for security, especially nowadays All in all the place was ok

The staff were all wonderful They were funny and kind The pools were all adequate and I enjoyed not having a long walk to the beach

A lot of the other hotels have a much farther walkWe stayed in 1605 and it was clean and had a beautiful viewMy only complaint is my air conditioning was out for 24 hours It was brutal They did offer another room, but it was well after 10pm, and getting us all into another room would have caused more stress than it was worth since we were leaving the next morning I do wish we would have received a discount on that night At $300+ a night, that really was unacceptable

Dirk Dempsey

Checking in the staff were very friendly and helpful by answering questions we had The condo we stayed in was cleaned and ready for our stay We really enjoyed our stay with the kitchen and bathrooms being really nice

Access to the pool and lounge area and walkway to the beach was very nice! The oceanfront view was hard to beat! Definitely recommend this resort over others around here Thank you everyone at the Grand Atlantic!

Kevin H

We stayed for a week in a one bedroom condo It was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly When we needed towels, we just called and it was delivered

Same with other items like soap and dishwasher detergent We had an issue with the dishwasher running, but maintenance quickly resolved it for us An in suite dishwasher and washer/dryer is a huge plus!! We are already thinking of our next trip Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We checked in on December 31 for a one night stay The bed was comfy and the room was mostly clean There were some stains on the carpet near the door, and what looked like a previous occupants makeup on the ceramic in the bathroom

The rest of the room was very clean Why I am giving three stars is because at 8:30 this morning, a cleaning employee tried to barge in my room Thank goodness I put the metal latch over the door The loud abrupt noise was so jarring that I could not go back to sleep Checkout was at 11:am and at 9:00 my key card no longer worked for the door I brought this up to the attendee at the front desk during check out and she asked for my room number and said “wow” and then said everything was in order and to have a good day Overall the experience was okay and I would stay again but I would recommend putting the do not disturb sign on the door

Michele Stohon

Had a king room on the third floor Spacious and clean Bed was super comfortable! Air conditioner unit worked great, kept the room a tad bit chilly as we like it

Breakfast was good, typical hotel Breakfastmore importantly the coffee was very good! All staff we encountered were friendly and professional Would definitely stay here again

Sara A

My first room had a very musty smell and you could see mold growing on the AC Second room was less must, only tiny bits of dust and mold on AC, but still just skipped using it Fridge made horrible noise all the time

And the KICKER was all the BUG BITES I came home with after two nights Bed bugs? Fleas?I’d give this place 0 stars if I could Maybe 5 because the sheets were surprisingly soft for such a disgusting place

The management and staff were great, appropriate discounts applied, really efficient If they oxidized the hotel and removed the terrible 🚬 smell it would have been 10 better Had to sleep with our door open from the balcony to keep fresh air circulating in

Bathroom walls had some grit or sand on them A few minor inconveniences, but we stayed there for two days If it were terrible we would have left The price was good convenient location Down stairs parking🤪🥶🤯🤒😱

John Patterson

Was a good budgeted vacation for us We had a good time, only stayed one night but worth it Rooms were ok for what you paid for

WATCH OUT FOR THE COFFEE MAKER Looked inside ours and it looked like it hasn’t been cleaned out in a few weeks I think the mold family had it’s own area code on that one Bathroom was cleaned pretty good The little kitchenette wasn’t too bad Really didn’t use the oven but it did work, I checked it Fridge kept everything cold Beds weren’t bad, our room was on the third floor right over the pool Had it’s own private way to get to the beach All in all wasn’t too bad There were people in the office around the clock as well It isn’t a high classed hotel but if your looking to have a budgeted family trip then i say go for it Yea there is allot of things that could be better when it comes to staying in a hotel room but it’s the memories and fun you have with your loved ones that makes it really count I love seeing my family have fun

Scott Gillespie

Motel was not in the best condition First time staying here since 2008 or 2009 First thing of notice was the old musty smell

Walls and ceiling had cracks and holes Microwave was dirty The burners on the stove were not level Did not offer to change sheets in our 5 night stay Management and staff was friendly and did provide towels and wash cloths when needed Just need some upgrades and repairs Will consider staying there again if improvements are made Consider painting the interior and replacing the old carpets and have your room cleaners do a more thorough cleaning

When we travel we always choose the Homewood Suites by Hilton The first time we entered we were very impressed with the lobby The staff is always cordial, helpful and very friendly

They also serve a great breakfast every morning and a social evening on Wednesday night with an exceptional dinner and Wine, in a special location meant for dining and socializing, at no cost The other amenities, I willmention a couple, A large room with high end exercise equipment, also an outside area with a beautiful pool, comfortable lounge chairs, and an area of outdoor grills and tables with umbrellas The last one we went to was atMyrtle Beach, a great place with many locations to visitCathryne ( have a great vacation)

Yvonne Boswell

The staff was friendly and welcoming The hotel was clean and made my family and I feel comfortable The shuttle service is amazing

Overall, my family and I really enjoyed this hotel and when we return to North Myrtle, we will book a reservation at this hotel again We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and dinner My only complaint is that the water pressure was very low in our room It would have been nice to have more water pressure when showering and washing our hands I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family

This place was super nice The condo was clean and everything was in working condition The washer and dryer worked great

The mattresses were very comfortable But most of all, the attendants were super friendly and helpful They were very attentive to making our stay the best it could be The people gathering the trash, bringing new towels were always friendly and kind I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to friends and family

Makeda Wells

Best hotel experience I’ve had yet We were able to check in early and room was super clean with a well stocked kitchen Super family friendly with easy access to the beach

Pools, hot tub and lazy river were all great and super clean Love the bar by the pool but wish it was open more hours The only “issue” was the parking We had to park across the street in the overflow parking most days It was Memorial Day weekend though so that may not be an issue normally Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in myrtle beach!!

Sally Dougherty

We are snow birds and have been at Paradise for a month This resort has nicely decorated rooms, it’s clean with lots of indoor parking The pools and hot tubs are maintained well at the perfect temperatures

The beachfront is huge and kept clean by the parks dept, and we see police patrol routinely on the beach Housekeeping is very good My only complaint is that we have to wear gloves and a mask just to get our to-go morning coffee from the Sandals restaurant in-house The manager “my love” is a bit a over the top with rules that are not state required at this stage of Covid

This place is AWESOME! Two pools and a lazy river, and they offer so many activities each day and the rooms are very nice The front desk is very kind and they offer a lot of discounts for shops and restaurants in the area They also offer park passes which we used to go to the state park and get to the beach! The bar by the pool is nice and they did trivia and karaoke there on Thursday! Lots of fun, definitely going back

Fenite

The pool is quite nice with three different pools you have quite the variety Although both of the outdoor pools were freezing Although there are still hot tubs that still work

There are as a bar for the adults but they are quite expensive and they weren’t that good Otherwise the rooms were quite suitable and large As well as having tons of fun and neat activities for the kids if they get bored of the pools Although a decent amount of them do cost money to do The rooms come very clean and tidy and have a great view of the pond Some days you can even see the giant fish in the pond swimming just below the surface The ponds even have a few small peirs that you can fish off of They even have elevators to help get up to the second and third floors Overall great place to go for a break I would recommend this to families and people who want a break down near the beach Though it is a bit of a drive from the beach

Tonya Green

These were the most friendliest staff I’ve ever met They were courteous and gave us a few good laughs to welcome us on in That was appreciated after a long drive

The resort is beautiful and I love the waterfall and lake where you can go fishing Nice beach house and other than wishing there was a few more lights around the lake, it was perfect

It is not a beach front, this has a potential to be a nice Hotel, it really needs some updates, the beds were comfortable, but the ceiling in our room look like it had water damage we didnt see it until later our second day, the air only worked when you turned it down to the 60’s, the wall paper in the Bathroom was peeling and the carpet was stained in the hall ways Tamara at the front desk when we checked in was really nice!

Merrick Miller

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in in my entire life Room smells musty and moldy Mold on the phone, toilet seat coming apart

Bedding looks like it was eaten by a dog, sink doesnt drain, carpet tiles curling up And the have bolted down the 60 dolar computer monitor size tvI have also never seen a hotel room with a dehumidifier If you are thinking about staying here, stay in your car at a rest stop you will be better off

We booked this a couple months ago via Priceline, they had the best deal This Hampton/Hilton is AMAZING! Starting with the staff, you feel great the moment you check in I was treated to fresh baked cookies , so you know that also left a lasting impression

Everyone is outgoing and pleasantly enthusiastic The room is nice and very clean The entire hotel is also clean and fresh The free breakfast is delicious and also maintained by a couple EXCEPTIONAL ladies They keep it stocked and clean This is always such a nice treat If you don’t have time for breakfast, they also had some “happy kits” available on your exit, which were bagels kits in a bag ready to travelso sweet I would highly recommend this hotel!!!

Prime Risk

Located just outside the entrance to the Legends Golf Club, it is a great option if you want to fly in for a golfing weekend This is a very well maintained and staffed Hilton property that we will visit again The facility is well cleaned and the staff is super friendly with help on local attractions and the best places to eat

(A little hint, one of those locations shares the parking lot with the Hampton Inn) Located just off of the 501 highway, parking is free at this location and has easy access to every part of Myrtle Beach

Devon Johnson

Clean and nice presenting hotel, with friendly staff Rooms and very were clean and comfortable for the most part I stayed in room 222 , If you have trouble sleeping don’t sleep in the rooms on the back half next to the elevators

I heard them all night The finger details on the room, in the bathroom it was really bright which it should have been Very roomy with the toilet tucked in Around the sink needs to be recaulked with White caulk not clear and needs cleaning Theres lent and dirt around the clear caulk, and using white caulk will make the gaps look cleaner Wallpaper needs work, pealing away from corners and ceiling, and could use a refreshAfter a thorough discussion with our other room members, I got word that there were either bed bugs and or roaches We definitely won’t be coming back until this issue is resolved

I’m an owner Sold to us as 5 star facilities Some of the rooms have outdated restrooms

The old whirlpool type tubs from 21 years are still installed Basically the bathrooms are 50% upgraded The air ducts for the return and supply air are filthy dirty with 1/2″ of dust clinging to the walls of the duct work We’re given soap but no soap dish so the soap sets right on the counter top The amenities are great I couldn’t ask for more in that area Parking for each unit is adequate Great views from every room and balcony/back porch Only 2 gas grills on the whole property but has like 15 charcoal grills all at random locations outside There used to be several years ago a gas grill on each balcony/back porch

Anthony Ray

My family arrived to find food mess all over the condo A mysterious sticky mess in the kitchen Beds that were stained from who knows?! We were also surprised to find that pool and beach access is by shuttle! The “view” was a construction area complete with metal pipes protruding from the ground

We booked a first floor for my mother-in-law, but were given a second floor To top it all off, when we contacted the manager, they couldn’t have care less – they were rude and offered no assistance or trade In fact, they didn’t even offer to get it cleaned! We contacted the cleaning service on site and THEY NEVER SHOWED UP Go anywhere else, but don’t bother with this place!Update: I see that ownership has left a vague and completely useless formality response to my wife’s review This is definitely the type of “help” you can expect from the staff and leadership! Just empty gestures and advice to “go help yourself”

Sandi Ray

Don’t even bother! This is supposed to be the very best? I sure hope not! Our unit was dirty, sticky, and disappointing Our “view” looked out at a construction zone with metal poles shooting from the ground! The doors had one simple lock that was far too accessible for my kiddos We had booked an upstairs unit, but was disappointed to find that we were given a downstairs unit

So, what can we do?? We reached out to management, the lady we spoke with was disrespectful and flippant No other units offered No offer to call maintenance for our unit No offer to move us to a different condominium So rude! The nearest pool was a mile down the road Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place!!!

This Hampton Inn must have been an older hotel that was refurbished as a Hampton inn ( can tell by the styling) The lobby rooms are nicely decorated with the seacoast in mind There are several rooms that you can sit and relax along with outdoor seating protected by the sun

The room is clean and the view from the balcony is exquisiteMost of all is a shout out to all the folks working at this Hampton Inn Everyone is so friendly and I especially want to thank Kelli, the guest service manager, who overheard me saying that I miss the fruit salad at breakfast ( guess Hampton inn stopped that) and then arranged to have a plate of cut up fresh fruit for me Fruit that they didn’t have at breakfastWas that not nice? I was thrilled and so appreciate the extra effort Kelli and folks made to make my stay specialI would highly recommend this Hampton Inn for Myrtle Beach and if I come down again, will plan to stay hereSincerely,Cindy

Awesome clean hotel room Front desk staff was super friendly and nice I wish I researched that the hotel didn’t have a restaurant before I booked

The hotel shuttle is great and the drivers were awesome! However they only take you in a 3 mile radius I wish I knew restaurants were a bit further Definitely not a fault of the hotel! We ubered to Broadway at the beach and had a good experience there Airport was super close by I thought we could have walked to the Boardwalk but just didn’t feel “safe” Again the shuttle takes you there with no problems Overall a fun quick get away but not sure we will be back Breakfast was a great addition to our stay!!!!

Pros: Great location right on the beach with all rooms overlooking the ocean The view from the balcony was stunning This hotel is close to lots of things, including restaurants and shopping

Never felt like the beach area was crowded, even though the hotel was busy Free covered parking Loved that there were enough beds for all 5 of us and they were actually comfortable Full closets in bedrooms Bathroom had both a full tub and a stand-up shower The full kitchen and big table were nice The person who checked us in was very nice and helpful We got early check-in with no issuesCons: Lots of noise from people playing loud music at all hours of the day and night The pools were in constant use and looked pretty gross Room was kind of outdated with old fixtures, carpet, etc Long lines/waits at the elevator Breakfast was mostly the same every day – would have preferred more healthy options than just apples and bananas
