I needed a place to stay for a few months in the off season while I was in town for work It was near impossible to find anything open Doug and his family were great

Beautiful property and a great host I noticed a few bad reviews on Google and I think it’s worth mentioning the current owner hasn’t owned it all that long and has put alot of work into the place

A GEM! We had the best time

so good I didn’t want to leave! Doug and Hollie (who we now consider friends), their kids and Josh, went above and beyond to make sure we and the other guests were comfortable and had a good time Saturday night’s beach party was a blast and we met so many nice people! We had a perfectly secluded tent site as we requested The beach was beautiful and the entire place very well kept Cannot WAIT! to go back

We can’t say enough about the kindness extended to us by the staff at this campground We broke down on I-84 on a Saturday and couldn’t have the truck serviced until the following Monday We called Wilderness Lake and even though they were full for the weekend they quickly agreed to find us a spot somewhere on their grounds for our camper

To say they went above and beyond is an understatement Not only did they provide a space with electricity, the owner actually drove my husband to the Ford dealer 20 minutes away on Monday morning Whatever we needed they went above and beyondThe campground was extremely quiet even though full There are many seasonal campers that seem to have a wonderful camaraderie which also sets the tone at the campground We enjoyed sitting at the lake, reading a book in the quiet, waiting for Monday morningCan’t say enough good things they provided help, kindness and services when we needed it, and did it with a smile Will definitely return

This is by far the best B&B I’ve ever been to! The owners are super nice and exceptionally friendly The breakfast was amazing! The room with a working fireplace and a Jacuzzi bath tub was very romantic They are also super pet friendly! My little dog Doodlebug also had a great time there

I have a list of about a dozen pet friendly B&Bs we were thinking of trying, but after our visit here we are not going to go anywhere else This is now our permanent future B&B vacation destination

We LOVED staying there! The owners/operators were amazing and so hospitable! The grounds were so beautiful and so peaceful, the food and service was delicious and amazing! The rooms were so unique and comfortable Our son and his family lived just 5 minutes away so it was a perfect place to stay while visiting The tour and the history was so amazing and the owners were happy to show you the unique features as well as the history of the underground railroad and how the original owners were part of this! AMAZING! You will not be disappointed

My husband did not want to stay at a B&B when we were first looking but afterwards he said it was worth it!

Amazing B&B experience! The innkeepers are super friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the 1700s house and gave us a fascinating tour when we arrived The extensive grounds have beautiful flowers and several sets of chairs to sit and enjoy the day The Anna White room has a wonderful canopy bed, a cozy fireplace, and a fabulous two-person jetted tub in the in-room bathroom

Breakfast has multiple delicious courses and made me wish I had multiple stomachs to fit more of the scrumptious food The area has many enticing restaurants and ice cream places and we could continue our exploration of Revolutionary era history with a visit to the near-by Nathan Hale Homestead The three resident kitty cats were an adorable addition to the experience Can’t wait to come back!

Very cool historic inn The rooms were appointed with comfy beds and antiques We had a very nice large shower and private bathroom

We never got a chance to meet the owners, we showed up a little late and left a little early in the morning They don’t serve an actual breakfast There is a dining room with 24 hr muffins, yogurt, fruit, juice, and Keurig We will return!

Bianca Nicole Greene

We loved our stay! The sweetheart room was beautiful and homey My favorite part was how clean everything was! I literally walked around the room barefoot and I don’t do that ever It was a much needed time together and Lee and Diane were so accommodating and kind

Will definitely stay here again ❤️The only thing was I wished there was a microwave but definitely not a deal breakerNote: I’ve stayed in hotels and the bed sheets here were like butter! The comfort was unreal 💯

Once we discovered the Spring Hill Inn we have stayed there every time we visited our son at UConn The history of the building is fascinating yet the rooms are ultramodern and comfortable The owners are extremely accommodating: Lee made sure we knew how to work the TV and Diane left us fresh fruit and delicious muffins in the morning

An unexpected treat was the fresh flowers that we found in our room! We recommend it highly!

Ok super cute place! Very plain, very clean and staff extremely nice! Waaayyyyy out of way from where we needed to be but I didn’t mind the scenic drive Beautiful old towns we drove through The architect of the old homes around was exquisite

The motel is over 70 years old But I loved it Very quite as well which is nice They do take pets if you are traveling Microwave, mini fridge and nice clean beds Butbring pillows! Woke up cramped neck, but hey nothing a little Tylenol couldn’t help lol Make sure you do all your shopping for food before you are in for night as well Super far away from food places, except a all night gas station/mini Mart Which again I don’t mind Also they do provide shampoo & soap But go to dollar general and grab yourself a travel size shampoo or $1 sauve Someone referred to this place as Bates motel I can see resemblance but definitely not the feel If you like quite, and budget friendly, and clean this is a place to stay We had family in wauregan, was a tad far but, like I said I enjoyed it Definitely a great spot and kid friendly as well
