Loved how clean and modern this hotel was! Everything is sparkling clean and all of the staff seem to take pride in their work and are very friendly The rooms are well laid-out with kitchenettes so you can cook for yourself if you’d like The breakfast has a lot of nice hot options such as sausage, scrambled eggs, kielbasa, 🧇 -as well as yogurt, cereal, baked goods, fruit, and hard-boiled eggs

We also had biscuits and gravy on the first day we stayed and hash browns on the second day The pool is smaller but adequate and there is a small bar in the lobby as well Excellent value for the money!

We were in town for a funeral, so needless to say it was a great relief that the hotel was fantastic Clean, large rooms, an indoor pool for the kids (which was a great release after the wake), there was pull out couch which was perfect for the kids to share The TV was on a swivel and had Netflix access which again, kept the kids busy

The staff was friendly and accommodating, breakfast was really good, gym had everything and was clean! We were really impressed with our stay

I don’t usually leave reviews for places that I stay, But this place stood out It stood out to me because of one person, this one person made my stay better than I could’ve imagined He knew my name, called me by it and remembered the room I was staying in

That guy is David He is a fantastic worker and deserves to be in a higher leadership role in the company or the hotel He blew my expectations away and I hope someone sees this and awards him for his kindness If you’re ready this David, You killed it, my guyThe Only gripe I have with this hotel is that there was not enough hot water to take a shower with sadly Other than That it was greatPros- David- BreakfastCons- Hot water issue

Can’t ask for more Except for a longer stay ;)The breakfast was amazing

You can eat in either an elegant air conditioned sunlit room or delivered right to your roomVera, the owner, is incredibly charming and has impeccable taste The decor is just perfect; from the gambit of cool pig-themed paintings throughout the B&B to the rustic and great selection of books – it ties the B&B theme together so wellLocation is perfect: less than a minute walk to the train and nearby plenty of hiking trails Situated directly on main street, you can visit the antique shops and cool dining The French restaurant across the street was my favoriteThe employees were attentive and helpful to give advice about what to do in the areaThere’s nothing bad to say: I’ll be back soon

Jackie Yang

The Pig Hill Inn was the ABSOLUTE BEST bed and breakfast I have ever been to! I stayed in mid-March with my partner and at every turn I was blown away by the owners’ hospitality, friendliness, and charm The breakfast is better than anything in a restaurant, and they leave out snacks and baked goods during the day The inn itself is super clean, cozy, and our room was very comfortable! We had a wood-burning stove and a jacuzzi that we absolutely made use of

Next time I’m in Cold Spring, I’m going right back to the Pig Hill!

Anthony Rosado

Stayed here with my wife for a few days The owner and the gentleman working there were very attentive and friendly The breakfasts were good, and there were suitable options available, in addition to the greenhouse seating which was lovely

They also left out cookies and brownies for guests The room was lovely, and cleaning services were extremely attentive Coupled with all this and it’s convenient location to Cold Spring’s shops and the riverfront, it is an ideal place to stay

The hotel is fairly easy to find; entrance is right along the highway The staff seems friendly and helpful enough And the rooms are fairly spacious and clean

A buffet style breakfast is also included But alas, this is where my compliments endEvery few seconds I could hear a roar outside my room’s window At first I thought they were jet airplanes rumbling down the runway for takeoff Then I realized that the noise was coming from the adjacent highway and the commercial trucks rolling down the highway and making this roaring noise I think the rooms need better soundproofing Next, when we stepped outside for the day and returned to our room later, we were shocked to find out that the add-a-lock on our room’s door, the one that can only be engaged when you’re inside your room for extra security at night, was engaged and there was no way for us to enter our room This was, to say the least, very perplexing and surprised us very much At first I thought we were at the wrong hotel room And after triple checking, we were positive that we were at the correct room So we had to go downstairs to the lobby and inform the receptionist that we needed help to get back into our room She immediately went into defensive mode and started blaming us that maybe we slammed the door, and that was the reason why the lock engaged itself First of all, we never slam our hotel door, no matter where we stay We’re very considerate of other people Second of all, if that were true that the door had been slammed, the receptionist should not even accuse us of that because the lock should never self engage with the slamming of a door Even though someone from maintenance came fairly quick to help us enter our room, the experience with that receptionist left a sour memory in my mindAlso, we requested a room near the elevator I’m blind and have a difficult time walking long distances to look for specific things like the elevator Our room was pretty far from the elevator And although I know that this kind of thing is based on availability, we did notice that people arrived the day after we did and were given rooms much closer to the elevatorThis next point may be a bit of a nitpick, but the buffet breakfast seems to be lacking in traditional breakfast meats I had scrambled eggs and some kind of sausage It wasn’t a traditional breakfast link, instead it tasted more like a sweet hot dog And no bacon either? There were cold cuts, but cold cuts for breakfast really aren’t my thing All this for nearly $460/night Really?! I couldn’t help but notice that we paid almost as much as one week in an all-inclusive Beach resort for only two nights in this hotel These are the reasons for my 3⭐ review We were in Newburgh for the wedding of a close friend, and drove nearly 4 hours So I’m not really sure if I would stay in this hotel again ☹️

Dave F

Friendly staff Decent sized 2x queen room Breakfast options were good

The main issue was the hot water for a shower was barely warm enough to not be cold while getting a shower Additional sound deadening would be good too We could hear regular volume conversations next door in our first floor room The noise from the second floor that night, well, only so much you can do about that

Shelley Jennings

The staff are friendly, professional and efficient The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean My one small criticism is that the shower flow is rather weak and the temperature of the water is tepid to cool

I like a hit shower and I couldn’t get the temperature warm enough to my satisfaction This is a relatively complaint This is a new hotel and everything is clean, and attractive The breakfast is okay You will find oatmeal, eggs, hash browns, mini-muffins, bagels, toast and chocolate or plain waffles that you make There’s an assortment of juices and teas as well as coffee I usually have yogurt, but I don’t like Yoplait I believe most people will find something to eat, just as I did

Buttermilk Falls Inn and Spa is absolutely beautiful The grounds are phenomenal, with a lovely view of the Hudson, picturesque ponds, and rolling greens The owners have rescued most (all?) of the animals, which were so fun to visit

Make sure check out their beautiful aviary, with 2 chickens coops and the peacocks are a riot If you’re staying in the North Cottage you will definitely hear them coo and squawk! Our experience with the staff was excellent-everyone was super friendly and they went above and beyond to help usDinner at Henry’s was amazing-if you like cocktails, highly recommend the Bees Knees and the scallops were delicious Breakfast is included-it’s a small menu with impressive execution by Chef Jennie – who would have thought Zucchini Walnut pancakes would be so life-changing!Overall, our stay was lovely and restful-a truly beautiful property, and we can’t wait to come back!

Clare D

I was here in January Beautiful grounds and a very nice room It was an extremely restful and peaceful few days

The best part was the food at the restaurant – some of the best food I’ve ever had and the drinks were great too Included breakfast was yummy and made to order and daily tea-time was a cute touch also I also got a massage which was out of this world Thank you

Katie Barker

I came here for the spa and was taken back by the beauty and tranquility of the grounds There are flower gardens, animals, fresh fruit and produce growing, chicken and peacock! The grounds are well maintained and are free to walk for everyone using their facility The spa service was excellent and, though can be pricier than other spas, was well worth the extra money

There are well marked paths that bring you to ponds that have swan, geese, and duck, as well as waterfalls I would highly recommend coming here I am looking forward to coming back

Last weekend I attended my nephew’s wedding at Audrey’s Farmhouse and it was truly one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever attended (and I’ve been to a lot of weddings in my day) The setting was absolutely gorgeous, the accommodations were wonderful – I was in a spacious king suite – and the Greenhouse was beautiful and spacious Genevieve, Rachel and the rest of the Audrey’s Farmhouse staff was fantastic – attentive, accommodating and they really went above and beyond the call of duty

The food was so delicious too and so beautifully presented I had a hard time leaving the property on Sunday and wanted to stay a few more days The entire weekend was magical If you’re looking for the perfect place to host your wedding, I highly recommend visiting Audrey’s Farmhouse You won’t be disappointed

Laura Burkhardt

Audrey’s Farmhouse + Greenhouse is the most beautiful venue with stellar service!! My husband and I got married there in May 2022 and had the absolute best experience It was truly the most magical day! Audrey’s staff is genine and friendly and helped to ensure our wedding weekend ran smoothly from start to finish The guest rooms are comfortable, well decorated, and extremely clean

From their farm-to-table included breakfast to their family-style dinner, the food was INCREDIBLE Our guests didn’t stop raving about it! If you love plants, pretty Hudson Valley views, tasty food, and top notch personalized service, this venue is for you!! We can’t wait to come back!

Katie Cohen

Simply the best My husband and I had our wedding at Audrey’s in April 2022 and it was beyond our wildest dreams Every single detail was perfect

Our guests couldn’t stop gushing! The food was far and away the best wedding food we’ve ever had, the service was personal and warm, and the property and event spaces were just gorgeous in every way It was so special to have our closest family and friends stay on-site for our wedding weekend too – just an added bonus! The Greenhouse rooms and the Farmhouse are comfortable and decorated beautifully If you’re considering having your wedding here, just DO IT!!

It was amazing! We stayed in the Bluebird room It was so spacious and the bed was huge and very comfortable We had a large bathroom that was adjacent to our room so you will have to go in the hallway

But they provided robes The town of Montgomery is so cute with lots of good restaurants and a fun little bar Overall would definitely recommend, and me and my partner will be back again!

Debra Golaszewski

We just returned from an overnight stay in the private suite at the Borland House My companion had had surgery twice in as many weeks and was getting restless so we wanted to be close to home but not at home The Borland House was wonderful

The suite we had was two rooms in one with a private bathroom Anna the inns owner and chef was pleasant and very engaging with her guest The best part of the stay was the Saturday night dinner (included in the cost of the room) and breakfast the next day Anna is an amazing chef I would recommend this B&B to anyone in the area

East Northeast

Montgomery is a quaint village, with a handful of eateries in place, but for a truly wonderful brunch experience, one must eat at The Borland Inn, their three-course Prix fix menu is just awesome; a variety of pastries to start, greens, then followed by the entree – Try the fried chicken and waffle stack topped with a cream sauce, maple syrup and a touch of tabasco; out of this world, all made on the premise A bit on the pricey side, but the overall dining experience is great and well worth the price This was our first time, and we had our Jack Russel with us, so we sat and ate on their front porch, but the interior is a wonderful flashback to the 1800s and very spacious and quite beautiful

No Fanfare about this place I think they know they have it down Truly a hidden gem Cannot wait to go back

I typically don’t take the time to leave reviews unless I’m impressed one way or the other I wasn’t impressed For a relatively new facility, it had some holes in the caulking around the shower

The first night we were there it seemed like the people in the room above us were going to come through the ceiling as they were walking/running/jumping/stomping up until about 11:00 pm I’ve never experienced a real earthquake before but now have an idea of what to expect if I do We were on the first floor near the front desk so they had to be aware of the circus in town on the second floor but apparently didn’t feel the need to do anything about it The refrigerator wasn’ t working and had to be swapped out on Day 2 The front desk personnel were perfunctory in their duties and it was obvious that they really didn’t want to be there The most helpful employees were the cleaning/maintenance staff They were pleasant and attentive to our needs and the only reason I gave a rating of 2 stars I know that I wasn’t booking a room at the Ritz-Carlton but I do have a basic level of expectation when I stay at a hotel I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn Express hotels in the past and have been satisfied with their staff, facilities and service, however, this one pales in comparison I can’t/won’t recommend it

Cynthia Crawford

Staff was friendly and very helpful during our five day stay They even provided a wheelchair to help get my great aunt to and from the room No request from the front desk was a bother and we had several (extra coffee pods, sewing kit, dish soap, toothbrush, quarters to wash, and I’m sure I’m forgetting something

) Rooms were space, comfortable, and clean My aunt mentioned multiple times how comfortable her bed was

Bee Gees

Rooms are very clean and nice The only problem we had was the toilet got clogged a few times on just liquid A very nice hotel overall

Some sketchy people in cars and a few cigarette-y smells in the hall sometimes but it’s a good choice if you’re looking to stay in this area They have a nice indoor pool and the bathroom smelled nice Nice service and they clean every 2 days A big fridge and they have a hot and cold breakfast

Live locally and come here for dinner often This is a truly special place The owners are really nice and take pride in everything they do

Just left on a Thursday night and sadly the place was almost empty The food and service were outstanding Not just my food but everyone’s food at the table was perfectly prepared with high quality ingredients From cocktails through dessert, really impressed I have also been here for large parties and they do an equally fine job Great hard to find bourbons as well You need to come here!

Angela Vallone

This is an absolutely amazing venue to have any party you could ever want to have at We just had our belated wedding celebration/baby shower there over the weekend and it went so beautifully The staff are all incredibly kind and helpful and truly made the day flow without a hitch

They are also super easy going and helped us change some last minute things without any issue to make things simpler for our guests We rented out the Atrium and Porch for 80 people and had a beautiful indoor/outdoor event full of fun, laughs and smiles We could not recommend this venue more highly Some of our guests stayed to have some drinks at the bar after our event was over and stayed overnight in the beautiful rooms at the Inn We will definitely be going back there, whether it’s for another event/party or even just for a nice night away for a change of scenery I’d give them 10 stars if I could 👍🏻

Liz Pollard

It was our 2nd time there It is a charming and lovely setting We had dinner and the food was very good but the proportions we felt were small in comparison to what they charge for it

As an example, they charge $45 for duck I would’ve been interested in the dish but couldn’t justify spending that amount Overall experience was good but it lacks the wow factor and is overpriced

Nice hotel overall Room was clean and furnishings were updated Big plus if you are traveling with your pet

this hotel accommodates pets (there is a pet fee) and they must be on leash going through hotel 2 issues the lighting in bath is horrible for shaving or getting ready Secondly, there is no bar soap I requested it and was denied There are containers attached in shower for soap, shampoo and conditioner So, if you want to wash your hands, you go to shower for soap, 🤔😂😂 There is a diner and other food choices within walking distance and large mall a few minutes away

Rebekah Keener

The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning effective and quiet The room darkening curtains did their job, and I had the best night of sleep away from home that I think I have ever had I would recommend it as a place to stay for anyone

If you are a person who likes coffee in their room, you might want to bring your own instant coffee packs as ours only had decaf But that was the ONLY almost-bad thing

J C

This is our fourth or fifth time staying here We mainly stay here due to the location near Legoland and also family events The Marriott App has been hit or miss

When we request extra bedding, we rarely receive it unless we go to the front desk and request it there The mobile key doesn’t always work eitherThe room itself is spacious The queen beds are better than doubles The bathtub was working well, with no clogging I like the tamper proof soap, shampoo and conditioner The sink backed up a little bit The seating area is comfortable There was some stains by the headboard of one of the beds, that I had to wipe down with disinfectant wipes There was also some mildew or mold in the vent of the AC

Food was incredible and service was great! Our server had blue or green streaks in her hair, can’t remember her name Great service! Cocktails were incredible as well We came here to celebrate our 2 year anniversary, and it didn’t disappoint

My boyfriend said it’s one of the best chicken sandwiches he has ever had, and the burger was to die for The ox tail tots are definitely a great way to start And of course, the view 😍

Daphne Fong

We loved this hotel! It’s located perfectly on the east end of Main Street, so there are a ton of cute stores and restaurants within walking distance The included breakfast was nice; it consisted of yogurt, a small bagel, and a muffin, plus coffee / tea and orange juice We stayed in the building where the lobby is located, and our room had amazingly high ceilings

I really enjoyed how much natural light we got The is super comfy We came in the middle of a heat wave in August and the room AC kept us cool I never heard other hotel guests, so I think the sound insulation is also pretty goodThere were some odd things about the room though that I took off a few points for, including that the bathroom door is a sliding barn style door so you’re not going to get perfect privacy, and in our bathroom, the entire shower handle hardware was able to be pulled out about an inch from the shower tile, so that we could literally see into the wall It wasn’t a problem for us, but I could see why some people would have issues with the bathroom

Donna Brenner

Our son and new daughter-in-law were married on Saturday at the Roundhouse The wedding was absolutely gorgeous The food was fabulous, the service was spectacular and the venue was spectacular

Our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing the wedding was Everyone also enjoyed the after party at the hotel bar The organizing staff was amazing – thanks to Amber, Angela and Claudia They were wonderful! A Roundhouse wedding is Highly Recommended!!We had a number of rooms at the Roundhouse and they were lovely We enjoyed our stay there Our room had a beautiful view and they provide a lovely continental breakfast to the room They were very attentive to our needs We look forward to returningDonna and Michael Brenner

My family stayed here while attending a military honors funeral Just the history of the hotel makes it such an honor to be a guest The breakfast buffet is excellent

We had a room to celebrate with our group of classmates and the service was great Beautiful historic place The rooms are small but it’s location makes it easy to attend any event inside West Point Military Academy We will definitely be back and will recommend

I stayed here during a road trip to the East Coast I really liked the historic, gorgeous building and grounds The room was very clean, large, and had great views of the Hudson

Accessing the place seems intimidating – going through a guard gate and all – but the hotel is well within walking distance to town The staff was very friendly (especially the valets – knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely professional), the food in the bar is great, and breakfast was good but (of course) expensive I’d return anytime

We stayed at the Thayer Hotel the beginning of May We absolutely adored the charm and history of The Thayer I felt like I was in Europe

The accommodations were great, they have a great fitness room and the staff was extremely nice and helpful (especially with us coming in so late after a 13 hour drive) Enjoyed eating at Zulu Time, but didn’t have enough time to try the other restaurants Will definitely stay there as much as we can over the next 4 years!

Lovely stay Clean and Covid safe Incredible attention to details with delicious breakfasts delivered to the room with creative menus every morning! Lemon cookies waiting on arrival were exquisite

Rooms are cozy with fireplaces, snacks, robes and slippers The bed has two squishy pillows and two firm ones; they have truly thought of everything and want you to enjoy your stay A conflict with noisy guests was addressed promptly and really doesn’t seem to reflect the peaceful environment they are trying to create It was a perfect quiet weekend away, designed to be romantic and cozy One piece of advice: the room with an air tub is totally worth it- try to book this room

This place is the absolute best!! If you want a cozy and romantic getaway in a beautiful location, there’s nothing better The rooms are beautifully decorated and so thoughtful – there was even a white noise machine and a small wine fridge! The breakfasts were delicious, and Dena was kind and responsive and catered to my dietary restrictions Will absolutely be staying here again!
