Super hot in the room I had to leave the hotel at 2:07am with my kids and wifebeds was comfortable but the comforter was itchy and my kids couldn’t sleep well

My children and i was sweating All rooms are to a 68 degree which is the lowest and if you want it to be lower which it doesn’t make a difference, you would call the front desk so she can go up and change it They don’t have fans in addition if you wanted one in case of my situation Pool was salty with Clorox and hot at times And they still charge me the whole price even though we left at 2:07am Wouldn’t go there again Sorry

So my review here is going to be a little different Beautiful facility Most of the people are great

Let’s start with, I was displaced by a broken down truck I arrived several hours early and was told that I could not get it until 2 PM This is fine and absolutely understandable Until you see the housekeeping that are cleaning the rooms, that I could get into, that I’ve paid for doing nothing but kicking it around with the people at the desk Breakfast on the previous site that I have seen is advertised until 930 I walked down to breakfast at 9 AM and while there were 20 people looking around for food, the lady in charge of breakfast was pulling everything up and was told she was supposed to close by 9 If you still have people looking for food, let them eat They have paid for that in their $200 a night hotel roomI stayed 2 nights and did try to extend on my 3rd but they were sold out I had lost a key so I took an Uber over from my room that I was put into because they were sold out To pick up that key I asked at that point, because my company would rather have me come back there until the next night and they told me that once again it would be a late check in I understand that’s you’re policy I was told that people don’t check out until 11 o’clock I set there for 2 days and watched people leave all morning long at 6 AM,plus I had housekeeping knocking up my door at 8 AM I know that my $200 a night doesn’t really matter when it comes down to it but it shouldOverall, great location Cleanliness was awesome and so was staff, especially housekeeping Do they really care about their clientele? Not sure

I would definitely recommend this facility The grounds and rooms were clean and inviting The staff were very helpful and really welcoming

Convenient and close to food and stores for our travel needs We travel quite a bit and this is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in this price range Well worth the money if you’re in the area Many thanks to Kim and the rest of the staff

Robert Bos

Hilton posts stickers on the bathroom mirrors that they are happy to provide housekeeping services upon request Not this hotel! Initially we were told they do not clean during your stay( we were here 5 nights) Then we were informed they require one day advance notice to exchange used towels, empty trash, and vacuum the entryway

We were offered a vacuum to clean our own room:( The front desk also told us the recycling gets dumped into the trash:(

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn in Ephrata We were greeted warmly and made to feel very welcome right from the start We had a large room and everything looked and felt very clean

The breakfast lasted longer than at any other hotel we have ever stayed at It had a good selection of food, including 2 waffle batters and a variety of toppings for them It was in a convenient area for visiting Amish country We will definitely stay here again!

My wife and I just stayed at the Artist’s Inn for the second time This visit was very different because last time we stayed in one of the separate houses and this time we stayed in the main house Our first stay was really nice, but this visit was amazing

Jan could not be a better host Not only does she prepare truly amazing breakfasts, but her attention to detail makes every facet of the stay wonderful Jan’s touch was reflected in everything from homemade cookies to extra wonderful linens and toiletries The house itself is wonderfully appointed Our room had a very comfortable king sized bed, a jacuzzi tub and a nice sitting room Jan is very knowledgeable about the town and surrounding areas and even though we’ve been to Lancaster a zillion times, this really helped us plan our days while there If you’re looking to be pampered at a real B&B, this is the real deal The only downside was we didn’t get to meet Bruce, but I’m sure we’ll meet him next time

Jen and Jason Smith

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Artist’s Inn in February 2022! It was our first B & B experience and I don’t know that we could ever stay anywhere else Jan and Bruce are amazing hosts: friendly, accommodating, helpful, you name it Just good people

There was a snowstorm the weekend we were booked to arrive and Jan called personally to see if we would need to reschedule Jan’s breakfasts are amazing — they kept me full all day We so enjoyed chatting with them over breakfast The historic house is charming Our suite was adorable and I enjoyed the whirlpool bath Can’t say enough good things! We live six hours away but definitely plan to go back

Denise Robinson

For my family and I, this was our first trip to Pennsylvania Wasn’t sure where to stay I came upon the Sisters house, and keep going back to it, luckily our dates were perfect for three nights in Sophie side! When we arrived , we knew right away we made right choice to stay here! Clean, decorated nicely, funny books to read, food for snacking, they thought of everything to make our stay so comfortable! Even supplied laundry soap to wash clothes, it’s the little things they thought of that made us appreciate this lovely place! We would gladly stay here again! Thank you so much for your fine hospitality! The Robinson & Pastore family

The property was kept fairly clean, but the building was old so imperfections were quite evident However, I am giving 5 stars for the quality of service I received Staff members were extremely patient, responsive, and moreover kind and compassionate

Special shout out to Melissa and anyone else who worked on 3/5/22 Thank you for making my stay stress free

Josh

Hands down the worst hotel I’ve visited! This place is old and outdated Everything in our room was heavily used and run down The furniture was cracked and frayed

The carpet was faded and dingy Our comforter had a bloodstain on it and had to be replaced One pillow case was dirty and had to be replaced More bloodstains were in the bathroom wallpaper Several dark body hairs were stuck to our hand towel The tub was disgusting and the bathroom ceiling had mold growing in several places The mattress was sunken in, making for a terrible night of sleep The room had no single cup coffee pot like every other hotel I’ve stayed at Wifi was a pain to get connected A/C was loud and rattledAll in all, a horrible experience! We checked out immediately in the morning so we wouldn’t have to spend a single minute more in the room than we had to And to top everything off, the front desk didn’t even bother to ask about our stay Maybe they already knew the choice words I would have had for them I expect MUCH better from a Hilton branded hotel I will be contacting Hilton to demand a refund or credit towards a stay at another hotel in the future

The hotel was really nice Perfect location and staff at check in was great! Room was really clean and has everything we needed It was quiet and very inviting

The lobby has lots of activities able to do and the fitness center was absolutely amazing with so many things to do other than the typical tread mill My bf and I were very impressed

I stayed here for a week with my dog The general manager and her team were amazing and treated us like family! The breakfast was good and the rooms were very clean! I travel all over the US and this has to be one of the most Pet Friendly Hotel I have ever stayed at! They go up and beyond to make sure your pet is comfortable and has everything! Their is a lot of grassy areas around the hotel to run your dog and what ever else it needs! Thank you so much for the awesome time staying here at the Tru by Hilton!

Reb Pen

I have no idea why this is a 1 star hotel on Google Bonnie was so kind and helpful to get us in our rooms The lobby is awesome

The pool is fantastic The gym is awesome BUT THE BEDS ARE INCREDIBLE Love that they have given a nod to more of a sustainable approach to their soap, lotion, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner Rather than the small, ok tiny, bottles, they have refillable ones attached to the wall The 🍋 lemon hand soap and lotion is deliciously scented

This Best Western location should have the “Plus” taken out of the nameIt is just not being maintained well And everything is there is very cheap

A normal Best Western is nicer than this placeDo yourself a favor and stay somewhere cheaper for just as nice or better Or pick a nicer place for the same or just slightly higher price

Carrie j Heck

The people I transported stopped here to chat we were going to stay but the prices were a little up and it changed when they found out that there would be kids staying in the room so they decided to go to another hotel that didn’t change their prices they also do not have a laundry room there that I’m aware of but it was clean outside we didn’t get to see the rooms the lobby was decent I would do research if you’re going to stay there or near that place

We stayed here in July and it was THE MOST AMAZING B&B! Dennis is the host with the very most He gave us a full tour of the beautiful house and told us so many interesting facts and details about the architecture and history We were simply enchanted

The house itself was fantastic enough, and then Dennis and his chef prepare this incredible breakfast every morning This reminded me why bed & breakfasts are the best accommodation type on planet Earth Especially this B&B I wasn’t expecting to go back to Reading, PA anytime soon, but I may have to simply to stay in this wonderful house again Thank you so much Dennis for your lovely hospitality, great conversation, attention to every detail of our stay, and of course for those scrumptious waffles! We will be back (and I’m definitely sending my family members) All best from Germany!

I am so glad we chose to stay here — and that they had a room available last minute on a Friday night! First of all: the house is beautiful, inside and out And there are so many enormous trees on the property, they give the garden/patio a very peaceful vibe along with the relaxing fountain Walking inside, you can tell a lot of care goes into making the Inn a warm and welcoming place for everyone

The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was modern and classic (claw foot tub!), and the treats (cookies, teas, hot chocolate, fruit, coffee) were well enjoyed But if I had to say only one thing about the whole stay, I’d have to let everyone know: Pam’s breakfast special was above and beyond my highest expectations!!! I’m looking forward to visiting again next time we’re in Kutztown

Such a cute bed and breakfast! Room we stayed in was very nice and had a lot of charm to it Breakfast was amazing and a highlight to our day The inn is along a main road, so you do hear the street traffic if you are in a room right next to the road (not a detraction, but more of an FYI when choosing which room to stay in depending on how you sleep)

Regardless, I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back for another stay

I’ve been a rewards member since 2011 and use HIE hotels often Some are great and some not so much This hotel location use to be another hotel and had some renovations done but it needs some more work

The bathroom shower had mildew and crud on the outside of the shower door, the hallways had linen and trash on the floor at 1030 pm When we initially walked into the lobby at 10pm there were guests sitting in the lobby sitting area and they were just hanging out just as loud as they could be The receptionist who was checking people in didn’t bother to tell them to hold it down Just loud folks throughout the hotel There were several different sporting events that weekend for high school aged kids We were in town for the second part of an AAU basketball tournament and drove 4 hours to get to HIE I was tired and wasn’t in the mood for loud folks We got in at 10pm and the trash bin in the front of the hotel was packed to the top The trash can was just as full in the morning when we checked out at 11am Breakfast hours were from 6-10am which was very convenient for everyone staying at the hotel I went to breakfast at 845am and there were items which weren’t on the breakfast bar because they ran out of Items which weren’t available were cinnamon rolls, cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, and bacon The bread basket was empty and we had to ask for a refill The hotel kitchen staff needs to do better on headcount versus incoming guests There were alot of food items which ran out by 9am and breakfast hours ended at 10am There were alot of guests who were upset when they weren’t realized all the items which weren’t available The pool was closed until further notice and so was the office area where guests can use tge internet/computers Alot needs to fixed at this HIE location Recommend you find another HIE in the area We won’t be coming back to this location

This charming, historic, farmhouse screams quaint tranquility The inn is inviting and feels very “at home” The hosts are amazing and go out of their way to accommodate

My wife has dietary issues that Brenda navigated beautifully The breakfast, by the way was amazing and complete with morning Grace It was a breathe of fresh air to see wholesome family values actually still exist This really completed the experience of being “at grandpops farm for the holidays” The rooms keep the historic themes with antique furniture and dressings If you have a favorite pillow, bring it We found the beds comfy but the memory foam pillows can feel stiff if you’re not use to them The other guests were very pleasant and openly conversed at the table A side note, make sure you see the greeter, Sallie, the 3 legged cat that is absolutely adorable along with Miss Molly the boxer who is so loving

Forrest Bossler

Brenda and Mark have run this inn for over 2 decades and their experience in this business shows! The inn is charming and very comfortable, the breakfasts are far better than any hotel will offer,my wife and I were treated as family not guests, and all the conversations at breakfast were informal and a welcome get away from hotel hustle and bustle!! While we stayed over the Easter weekend and during the birth of their second grandchild in less than a year Brenda and Mark did not miss a beat in running the inn ,very professional !! Hoping to return again !!

Leslie Heberlein

Loved the attention to detail Rooms very clean Cute lttle frog pond! Two things we didn’t care for

Communal seating for breakfast We were on a romantic get away and didn’t feel like having breakfast not only with the host, but other guests as well Forced to sit through a prayer at breakfast I pray, I believe in God, but I really felt it was presumptuous and rude to be forced to sit through prayers when the host didn’t know our religious views Such a turn off

Front desk staff went out of their way to accommodate It’s an older hotel that is having issues with thermostats in the rooms as well as fridges Was in 3 rooms in 4 days, the thermostat wasn’t working in 2 of those rooms (including the last room) I suffered thru 74⁰ in the room because I was tired of moving

The staff can only do so much when they aren’t given an adequate property to work with

Absolutely the worst holiday inn I have ever stayed at Checked into suite, bed had blood stains on bed sheets, toilet was clogged Front desk puts me in second room can’t get into room Lock broken go back to front desk

3rd room is clean but shower nob was broken, ended up giving up and went to sleep 3 months later had to stay at same hotel Bed sheets stained, no hot water, shower curtain rod hanging loose just 5 feet high, no soap had to get some at front desk, no water pressure to wash soap off, no cups tea or coffee had to go back to front desk

First room wasn’t comfortable for us and we asked for a different room, we needed more bedding, towels and an extra key for our pregnant daughter arriving at a later time Everything we asked for was delivered quickly and without issue Other room was just right

Staff went above and beyond to make my daughter comfortable with extra long pillow for her baby bumpCheck in and out is easy, parking available and places to eat close by,Thank you again to the staff

Main room was nice Bed sank in the middle The bathroom was another story

Had to change the toilet paper in the “cleaned bathroom” because it had some kind of moldy stain Hair that wasn’t my color in the sink and in the tub Paint was peeling above the tub where someone tried to paint over a leak and mold Ceiling also looked like mold was painted over instead removing Bathroom also reminded me of an older Holliday Inn even though the building isn’t that old

Nice hotel

only one elevator, but we never had to wait any amount of time for it Choice of pillows on the bed was nice One was soft and puffy – the second was firm and flatter The really different thing about this place, that I’ve never seen elsewhere, is that they have a “lending library” of sorts, but rather than books they lend games, puzzles, even a crockpot!! Yes, these rooms are suites, so have a full size fridge and a stove and sink, so I guess you can borrow the crockpot and make your meal in your room for later in the day Interesting place
