The hotel is clean and quiet and the room is a nice size The staff is very pleasant and courteous Our only concern is the sliding door for the bathroom (not an issue for us but it might be if you are staying with children or a coworker)

The breakfast is hot with pastries too FYI the shuttle does not run during the early afternoon We will stay here again

What Gas

Let me start by saying my stay was comfortable and the staff was one of the friendliest However, there were few things made me give it that rating

1st, the bathroom door was a sliding door that exposed about an inch gap on both ends of the door making it easy for someone passing by to see inside Zero privacy The breakfast was very slimed down but it is a good start to the day

I wasn’t pleased with my bathroom When I walked into my bathroom and closed the door, the first thing I noticed was how dirty the back of the door was It had dirt and pieces of hair stuck to it

The floor and counter had hair on it There was even a spider sitting next to my sinkThe curtain rod and shower head were not cleanedThe tub drain wasn’t even screwed in

Renae Stewart

Shuttle service was very delayed Unsure how it takes 1 1/2 hours to pick at airport to hotel plus late to pick up in AM shuttle to arrive back to airport Plan accordingly if you have time commitments

Rude shuttle driver in the AM Argued that we did not have pick up reservations which we clearly made at check in Hotel rooms themselves where fine and clean Just won’t recommend if sole purpose is for airport travel due to poor shuttle service

My stay here was the best experience I’ve had at a hotel The staff was extremely friendly and kept my room very clean and homey I am especially appreciative of Heather who went the extra mile in making sure that I was well accommodated when something went wrong with my flight

She didn’t have to go above and beyond but she did and for that I highly recommend staying here 5 out of 5 stars!!

Keoka Quinn

The stay was terrible the toilet was broken I ask the front desk can we be move to another room or get a refund to go somewhere else he told us no and hung up I explained to him that the toilet needed to be Flush he told me to get a pot and fill the tank up with water and flush it myself after telling him I’m not doing that after going backwards and forwards with him he came and did it it was horrible we was using the restroom on top of each other mess

With the exception of no restaurant/food service or bar, minor shower door issue and false alarm to evacuate at after 06:00 am issueJose was polite with a speedy check-in My room was beautiful with modern decor, crisp clean and eco friendly features

Giving good vibes of a comfortable relaxing stay

Jenny Pav

The breakfast is $5 and is very limited Make yourself a waffle, bread or yogurt was the basic offering I saw The restaurant and bar was not open during our stay

I assume this is left over from Covid times Does not look like the are prepared to be open anytime soon IMPORTANT: They do not offer shuttle service to IAH as the website states I did have an odd charge but the front desk in the morning took care of it quickly and efficiently

Pictures can be deceiving This hotel was not what my co-worker and I expected It started with driveway leading up to hotel had enormous potholes

Make it inside and they are having plumbing issues, WiFi goes in and hotel so the room keys (cards) doesn’t always open your room door Bring your own pillow cause they are flat and no support My ac in my room made loud gurgling noise like it was on its way out I believe this hotel is in a bad part of town You would see people hanging out and walking around the parking lot drinking beer in a brown bag Nope- never again!

Front desk was very friendly and accommodating Lobby was comfortable providing plenty of seats for lounging or waiting to check in The room was clean and bed was comfortable

Breakfast was also good The sitting areas outside were clean and provided nice shady areas that you could sit to be out of the sun I would have given 5 stars except for a couple of things Housekeeping did not come clean the room during the day and we did not have a microwave in the room Otherwise, it was a very nice stay

Due to a canceled flight 7/25/22 ✈️ I was left in a bind but my night was made better by the service, energy and accommodations provided by Pierre once I arrived I called in advance to request the shuttle pick up a door 115 and the driver was friendly and arrived promptly Pierre also advised on the best way to book a room

My room was immaculate and on a high floor – 10 I’m eager to try the buffet breakfast and see the lounge in the morning It’s almost 1am I’m writing this review now as a testament to the front desk team with Pierre being a standout!

Aidea S.

I was very impressed with your bar/restaurant recently when I was laid over during a recent rain cancelation of my flight, luckily got one of the last rooms! Your bar was slammed with late night arrivals of hungry people and I was sitting there enjoying a honey chicken pistachios salad that was delicious and beautiful! I was impressed by the way the bartender, manager and waitress all handled so many people so smoothly and all the food came out with compliments from the people that enjoyed it So KUDOS!

Very clean hotel There is a complimentary breakfast that was just perfect for our stay If you want to spend money on a more extensive menu, go about a half a mile South

But overall no complaints The staff from housekeeping to the front desk was exceptional This might be the nicest, most friendly staff I have encountered at any hotel and I have stay at dozens and dozens of different hotels around the countryIn terms of location, you do need a car to get around However, for being a big city it is easy to navigate Staying near the airport is convenient for cutting down on travel timel to catch a flight and dropping off a rental car There is also a nice little salt water pool that is not crowded if you are staying during the week I would be happy to stay here again

Michael Rogowski

Fantastic location for resting before an early morning flight Exceptionally clean with modern furnishings Plenty of parking

Awesome water pressure and temperature in the shower Most importantly, incredibly honest staff Left a sentimental necklace behind and the housekeeping staff secured it for its eventually delivery to me Truly good people work here

I booked here because it was close to the airport I flew in a day before my friends Check in went smoothly

The room appeared to be very clean I had horrible sleep I highly recommend sound proof windows considering we are next to the airport Every plane ✈️ sound like it was landing in the parking lot Because I’m not from Texas I was excited to make Texas shaped waffles in the morning I don’t like it when hotels advertised things they don’t have Breakfast was weak!! No thought put into it bunch of bread, no meat or eggs I settled for yogurt and fruit Burritos smelled weird, they were soggy and mushy My only complaint for my room is that the light switch and air vent being the same is annoying the vent was loud It should be two separate switches I dreaded turning the light on to use the restroom The front desk lady told my friend that no one was checked into my room Then she calls my room and ask what room I’m in and what’s my name after literally just checking me in My friend called and asked were they at the right hotel and I asked was it a Indian lady, they said yes She was giving my friend a hard time and I’m not sure why A plus to staying here is free van shuttle to and from the airport The van needs a new windshield, cracked glass is saying tacky and cheap, first impression is everything The driver was very polite This place has so much potential to be great Very clean and the lobby is welcoming

Bre Parker

Perfect location just a few minutes from the airport and rental car drop off Super clean rooms and currently offering a grab and go breakfast starting at 5am, which is perfect for those early morning flights Danish, yogurt, fruit, cereal, coffee and juice

We actually moved from the County Inn and Suites to this hotel because the other was so dirty

Although this location is a bit dated on the outside, all around 5 star experience once I walked through the doors Entire staff was friendly and welcoming Rooms were very clean, with very comfortable bedding

Great water pressure Breakfast was a true delight, very specifically due to the staff Friendly, always smiling, and always quick with a refill I wish I could hire the breakfast staff so that I could start every day this way Well done

We went for the Chess tournament and stayed in this hotel as this is where the tournament was taken place We had a very nice experience All the staff were very helpful

It was really neat and clean everywhere The ambiance was very pleasant The whole hotel was jam packed for the chess tournament but it was not noisy at all All were minding their business We will stay here if we get to go again Over all the Houston people are very cool peopleBy the way the rooms were cleaned even without us asking regularly at 11 am Unlike some women who wrote online about the hotel and the recent changes in basic amenities recently about the hotel chain especially about the Hilton hotel chain that they are not providing anything But it is not true to this hotel as i personally experienced last weekend that the house keepers come to every room and cleans the rooms, changes the bed sheets, keeps new towels, toiletries, and clears the trash I literally witnessed it since I had to sit outside the hallway waiting for my kids to come from the tournament :)only one comment is: The restaurants could have some vegetarian/vegan items for guests like us including morning breakfast We had to go outside to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner for our entire stay over there because they didn’t have anything for the vegetarians/vegan except one veggie pizza option and that also was not there on second day which they took it out from their menu BUT The two beautiful Black ladies who working in the restaurant helped us and specially made some veggie fajitas without chicken and alfredo sauce pasta without chicken (they first brought with chicken though) Over all it was a great experience Thank you Double Tree and the Staff

Josh Quick

I don’t want to be too wordy but I want to share what I liked, what I didn’t like, and give my overall impressionWhat I liked:The bed was comfortable to sleep in and it’s convenient because of airport access but that’s about all it has going for it Actually, I should add the staff were pretty friendly and made it more of a pleasant stay

What I didn’t like:They have shuttles to and from the airport but be careful, we waited for 20 minutes and finally one of their shuttles showed up saying it’s from the Sheraton It did not identify that it’s from double tree at all We ended up taking an uber Somehow you’re just supposed to know that the Sheraton is for double tree as well I wasn’t too big of a fan of the carpet in the room and they don’t offer any room service The TV was okay Just channels and no apps or any casting abilityOverall, if you just need a place to stay it’s not a bad spot and convenient from the airport But if you want to dial it up on the luxuries, I would look elsewhere

The young man named Ian at the front desk was wonderful He was so professional and courteous I usually travel here for business frequently

I had a very long day and the last thing you want is to be stuck in the line at the front desk Especially after being on your feet for 12hrs He was very efficient and still was able to make everyone feel special I love the hotel the rooms are comfy and I’m always able to relax My encounter with him just made my stay that much better He definitely deserves a raise

Justin

After United Airlines stranded us in Houston for a night, we booked a night here and ultimately had a wonderful stay Insanely convenient to get to-and-from the airport: you hop on a tram for <5 mins which is connected directly to the airport Front desk staff was helpful and efficient in getting this completed

The room and bed were comfortable, spacious, and clean Great blackout curtains made the room nearly 100% dark We got stranded on our layover late, and it was great to have the hotel restaurant stay open until 12am The food there was just okay – but good selection and not too surprising for an airport hotelStay away from the pool area (at least when we stayed), it was buzzing with swarms of massive wasps This is our only “complaint,” and for all I know this is typical of this area in TexasThank you for a great stay!

Sorenishii

These people take convenience seriously I mean it’s a two way street You in convenience them you will pay for it

But if you are inconvenienced by them, they will own up to it and comp you on the spot They were amazing, helpful and super nice We were in a tight spot by the terrible spirit airlines that cancelled our connecting flight on the way home and left us stranded 800 miles from home for a whole day We had to book this hotel late and last minute They upgraded our room to a jr suite and even gave us an awesome rate on staying a few hours past check in This hotel knows what “good business” means I recommend anyone having to stay a day in Houston, do it here They got all the stuff you need, even a pool You want a staff that treats you like a customer should be treated

Our family stayed here for 1 night The receptionist during the night is nice, but when we enter the room seems clean but it’s not like that Blankets on the folded bed cover neatly

But when the blanket is opened I saw a lot of hair in the bed and hair on the pillow It smells like it’s been used and hasn’t been washed I had to spray disinfectant and put our clothes on our pillows to sleep I feel bad to see this and will be the last time to stay in this hotel

Pilar Constantine

By far one of the worst experiences I’ve had at any hotel When we got our room our sheets didn’t even cover the entire mattress and the blankets were damp feeling We booked for a King size bed and we’re given a queen

We stayed an entire weekend, we asked for more towels early on our second day and never received them and at almost 4 in the afternoon when we came back to the hotel we still didn’t have any, when we asked for more towels again they said they had none washed at all Our toilet stopped flushing and even after informing the front desk and asking for a plunger or someone to come look at it nobody came The wall outlets were broken and the frame on the outlet wasn’t even connected to the wall anymore, just resting and fell off if anything touched it The bathroom door knob was loose and continuously would completely come off of the door and we’d have to snap it back on The front desk people were very nice and had great mannerism but that is the only good thing I have to say about our entire stay

Mel Ram

Tyree at the front desk was what all hotels need She welcomed me and my family as if we belong to herI asked to view a room before checking in and she didn’t exchange words

I appreciate how warm and pleasant she was not to mention beautiful!!If she is not the property manager she needs to be She took time and walked us to our room She checked on us during our stay and that made us feel like familyThe grounds were kept well and the room where clean The rooms where a great size and that was important to us due to family illnessThank you Tyree for being amazing! We will be back and soon

I travel a lot and am a diamond level with Hilton This hotel doesn’t provide the services that are paid for, then Hilton and this hotel don’t respond to the issues I paid for premium room with snacks/drinks

Nothing was in the room (hotel uses the Covid excuse) and when trying to deal with it with the front desk, that person was overwhelmed with other things and couldn’t assist So, I paid for items that I never received Also, as a diamond member I should get a credit for food/drinks in the restaurant I didn’t receive that credit I’d advise business travelers to avoid this hotelUpdate:I wrote a review regarding services paid for and not received, and items that should have been provided based on status, but not received I’ve tried contacting the hotel and going through Hilton Honors, and still have not received any sort of direct reply (over 2 weeks now) Instead this hotel chooses to go the route that shows they have poor management that avoids the issues and demonstrates they lack skills in customer service Instead of correcting the issues, the management replies to the review by providing a canned response that lacks sincerity or care This issue is about services paid for, yet not received So, to step of things, maybe a fraud charge will need to be made with AMEX to escalate the issue Since the hotel fails to respond to me directly, it appears using online reviews is the only way to contact them I tried to get this issue corrected directly and do this the right way, but this hotel definitely shows they don’t care about their customers and will discard issues

Amy Adkins

1 Airport shuttle did not show after three calls to the hotel and waiting for 20+ minutes2 No toothbrushes or basic toiletries available without purchase

In my experience hotels have always offered this feee – toothbrush, razor, toothpaste Toothpaste available for purchase but “out of toothbrushes” To me, if a hotel has an agreement with an airline to host guests overnight with a voucher, they should expect that some of their guests will not have all of their toiletries3 Air conditioner in my room does not work, carpet feels sticky, wall AC unit completely came apart in two whole pieces

Jazzy

If I could give zero stars I would Went on a 6 day vacation and parked my car here You’d think I’d be able to have peace of mind considering they stated they have 24/7 security and it’s a fairly busy hotel and I parked right out front

However that wasn’t the case I came back from my trip only to find that my catalytic converter was stolen! Cut right off my car When I went in the office all they said was sorry and that it’s happened in the past Please save yourself a 500-2k charge by not parking here! Lesson learned

This is a very good Holiday Inn Express location I had a minor issue during check-in, but the staff remedied my issue immediately The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, and I had a good night’s rest

The complimentary breakfast was good, but had very little fruit and healthy choice food optionsThe road leading to the hotel had an extreme amount of potholes that were very large, so be very careful driving to the hotel Overall, this was a good stay

Rich n Sue

Great guest service staff Good recommendation for local pizza pick-up Our beds were super comfy

The room was clean and all toiletries were available The room and the hotel breakfast seating need refreshing, Im sure with the close proximity to the airport they stay real busy Breakfast was ready promptly at 6:30 which we appreciated! Food choices were the usual faire for Holiday Inn Express We saw the pool being used, it looked very clean and welcomingwe just didn’t have the time! Refresh the tired furniture and bedroom carpet and you’ve still a winner!

I made this reservation but I was skeptical at first I’ve heard some not so good news about this brand I was impressed

The 2 men that were at the front desk were very polite and nice, they treated everyone with the same energy they were genuine in their interactions they were not fake They really made me feel welcome I am a Travel Agent and I have told everyone I know to go there when they are in Houston The room and the hotel is clean smells good and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to leave It is super quiet it felt like I was the only person in my floor I’ll be back on tomorrow and I can’t wait to see how clean and decent my room will be oh and the breakfast it the bomb, you get a variety of a lot of food and beverages and no one rushes you or looks at you funny if you want seconds This is my go to spot It used to be Marriott but not any more Thank you Holida Inn

The staff are very friendly and the suite was well cleaned Overall a very great stayThe reason for the 2 star review is because my suite was situated next to an ice machine

For the last two nights of my stay the ice machine was running every other 5-15 minutes at 4AM The first night wasn’t bad and I just went back to sleep My last night was terrible The machine would vibrate the wall of the head board every time it ran and it ran for 90 minutes I couldn’t get any sleep after that pointIf you end up in a suite next to one of those ice machines, consider another suite

gyo

My experience was poo First of all, the air conditioning was not working, and the staff was not helping at all They was lying and saying that it worked but it did not

They didn’t give me another room when I asked for one They had old beer bottles at the pool And the pool did not smell clean Not a lick of chlorine It was also located in a bad neighborhood near a busy intersection The food was poo I hated it so much It was dry and it was not girlboss The side door had disgusting things on it for as long as I stayed there When I left, the door handle was still covered in whatever splashed on it I do not recommend staying at this hotel It was not giving what it was supposed to give They thought they are but they didn’t even have no food

Wilma Mukdree

The hotel room was awesome however as I was told by staff the pool party was unscheduled party Over 20 kids with a very few adult was at the pool with a birthday party They were eating in the pool with food dropping all over the concrete , throwing up in the pool and unruly children , diving in the pool, running around the pool

Parents was cussing and some not paying attention to the children Many of your paid guest was unable to enjoy the amities that we paid for I feel cheated out of my stay as my real reason for booking this hotel was because of your pool area Very disappointed

Consistent The quality is consistent I love that about Courtyard, no surprises and the best they have to offer in staffing, amenities and rooms

I needed to be at the airport so that I didn’t have to take a costly taxi over I wanted a little luxury (great bed and towels) and a few extra amenities (a bar and Starbucks coffee) So the Courtyard was the place Next morning after meeting the pleasant shuttle driver, I was at the terminal in 10 minutes I couldn’t have been more pleased with the stay!!

I just came home from Texas and am truly amazed at how immaculate this hotel was! Since Covid I know standards above anything else the cleaning standards have diminished Not here! From the time I walked in the guest services representative was kind and professional I tried to tip her and and she refused it

The lobby smells so fresh and clean The air freshener in the lobby is a great choice and lets you know youve come to the right place The room was spotless! Bed=perfect! The amenities were good too Overall I loved loved loved my room and enjoyed my stay Will definitely return

The room was nice but the parking cost me my catalytic converter There are no cameras covering the parking by the front entrance No signs saying as much either

No response from Corporate eitherEdit: If the lack of security/surveillance is “out of hotel control” then it would be something that should be noted on the parking form I signed

MANAGEMENT IS POOR AND I WILL BE CALLING CORPORATE Me and my 7month old daughter was in the car when he approached my vehicle telling me to move and that I was not welcomed there if I wasn’t a customer I explained to him that my boyfriend was pulling in right now to get the room and he said he didn’t care that I needed to move

They’re too many bad reviews on this location and something needs to be done about it I will do everything in my power to get him out of the office He had no right to mistreat me especially with my daughter in my arms

Would not recommend! The manager made me feel very uncomfortable he was watching me inside of the car while I was sitting there picking up a friend from the hotel wasn’t even there for 20 minutes and it was flashing the light at me as I was sitting in the car through the window then when I got out to inform him that I was not a suspicious character he proceeded to tell me that I did not belong there I needed to leave and that they only service customers I was like sir “I am a customer” then he proceeded to say “I do not care” I am formed him that I will be letting corporate know of his racial behavior and that there was no reason for him to act like that he did very poor manners and Touchman highly disappointed in an amazing resume that was displayed in a brief time that I was at this hotel motel

I definitely feel like he wrote down my license plate number very creepy would not recommend him

My wife and I needed a quick get away on our anniversary on 4/17/2020 and tried this place to spice things up First room had an issue with the water pressure, however the owner Chris accomodated us very well Was more than happy to move us to another room

On top of that, in the middle of the night/early morning, we needed some extra towels, and he had them brought to us I definitely recommed this place Very clean, very nice decor, good internet, and a non smoking room that didn’t smell like smoke Will definitely be back again

My family and I needed a room for the night The room appeared clean and it was cool when we arrived The tv worked great

My family had a good night’s sleep The only complaint I do have is that the waffle maker was very dirty and I couldn’t make any waffles for us 🥺 My son made this comment after seeing the waffle maker, “It blew up mom” But looking on the good side of this, 😁 there was cereal, milk, coffee, Twinkies, packaged pastries, and oatmeal I didn’t see anyone cleaning after the guests like in other places I hope they do better this year, and I would like to come back and offer a better review The location is excellent!

Room was clean and well maintained however, Kitchen staff was very unprofessional We stayed here for 5 nights and never got a chance to take full breakfast even we were on time for the breakfast Waffles maker which according to a recent review was out of order , still wasn’t repaired

Always short supply for the breakfast and when we reported to Kitchen staff they reacted very unprofessionally No refiling for the coffee and other stuffs I am not sure why they offer breakfast when they can’t provide it properly Front desk staff was OK except a Lady who was there on Sunday’s morning was very unprofessionalOverall its a good hotel to stay just don’t expect a breakfast

Evelyn Lopez

I thought it was going to be a good place to stay Room was clean Room smelled good

Tv didn’t changed the channel, guess it needed new batteries Unfortunately, they attended to get into my vehicle They dame the key hole, my husband had to take off the handle completely and now the vehicle only unlocks manually Not a good area The front desk guy that was there during the night was nice enough to show me the camera but the manager did get upset because we was nice enough to let me see the cam recordings

This hotel is not at the same level as others under the same name For the price, I expect higher quality The hotel itself has a small layout, making many areas feel claustrophobic

I had a suite, which was also small The AC in my room did not work The front desk sent up a fan, and with the one I had brought with me, that made the room bearable The breakfast was terrible, terrible On a positive note, housekeeping was on their game in keeping the entryway freshly mopped

Elizabella Ruiz

After me and my toddler son missed our connection flight , we booked a room here and let me tell you it did not disappoint Staff was beyond friendly and helpful, and let me tell you they had to deal with a lot of disgruntled exhausted travelers They were so kind helping with any and all questions

And the room was clean spacious and all around very pleasing Definitely recommend this hotel to any and all travelers

Mark Beddes

Wow, what a difference a day makes We thought we’d have a nice evening at the pool on our last night in Houston So we returned our rental car and waited 1 and 1/2 hours for the shuttle from this hotel to pick us up! No apologies or explanations

Then when we got to the hotel (finally!), The pool was disgusting It was nasty green The next morning was totally different the shuttle driver came in early to take our family to the airport and the guy at the front desk even gave our kids a few apples since we were missing the breakfast Hence the two stars instead of one Either way, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you need a shuttle or a pool If you just need a place to sleep the room was nice
