Hotel is fine if it’s your last resort to stay somewhere Staff and polices are pretty horrific As a diamond member I get breakfast for free each morning at Hilton Garden Inn’s but not at this hotel for whatever reason

I ask the front desk for my breakfast vouchers and they told me they just don’t do that at this hotel for diamond members but I could use $20 towards breakfast or the pantry since I was staying 2 nights Would have been nice to know that before booking…I then spent $24 at the pantry on Saturday night I go to checkout Sunday morning and my bill is $14 for food I told them it should be $4 as I spent my $20 towards the pantry They then tell me I have to use $10 on night 1 and $10 on night 2 as it can’t be combined for the stay Would have been nice to know that before I checked out! I told the front desk I stayed at a Waldorf and when I had food and beverage credit they allowed me to use it all on one day, so how was I suppose to know it couldn’t all be used at once Their response was “this is just our policy” They should probably communicate that at any point The staff poorly communicated everything during my stay Definitely wouldn’t have booked this hotel if I knew this Many things in life aren’t certain, but I can assure you I certainly won’t be returning to this property

I had a room that was not as clean as I would have liked staying at a Hilton hotel – and thankfully I left a review and the staff fixed my room while I was gone for the day They also left some snacks for me and a note letting me know I could contact the manager if I needed anything else I appreciate the customer service and the staff working to make my stay better

I will definitely be back again and appreciate the hospitality and care

Clayton Cummings

This was our 3rd stay here, and possibly our last Nice, clean rooms But they no longer replace towels, linen or toiletries unless you put in a request

There is no discount for this either The whole place smelled like sewage and we were never given an explanation for it 4 days, same stench Elevators sounded like they were falling apart Last day there, 1 of them was out of orderStaff were friendly, but not like most places Check-in involved asking for my ID, inserting my card for incidentals, and her handing me my room keys while saying “elevators are over here” Check out was “Checking out? Thank you”That was all we got this time Actually a bit disappointed in the hospitality Could have saved a good bit of money for that, or stayed in a more welcoming hotel, like The Staybridge

Stayed there last month and from the moment we walked in to the moment we checked out, it was a great stay The staff, Desk and Housekeeping, were incredibly friendly and professional The only thing we were too big of a fan of was the breakfast

The eggs and sausage was terrible but the nice selection of cold cuts more than made up for that The pool and hot tub were amazing I have a super sensitive nose and eyes and the fact that the windows were cracked open, made for a very enjoyable time in the hot tub and pool They were clean and the area was well maintained We will definitely make this Hotel our place to stay every time we come to the area

Jason Lindley

We arrived early (a little after 1:00) and we’re told that our room wasn’t ready yet And check in time was at 3:00 They were told that we would be arriving about 1 or 2

Other hotels had our room ready or had another one we could switch to The room however was very nice and clean, comfortable, and not near the elevator added bonus Bathroom door lock didn’t work Breakfast was one of the best for hotels we’ve stayed in Checkout was easy Allover good experience

Alicia Johnson

Staff was very pleasant and helpful throughout our 6 day visit Hard working ladies in housekeeping and food preparation Especially important to note when a problem arose the management was empathetic understanding

They host a meet and greet Monday through Wednesday evening and we especially enjoyed taco Tuesday it was Awesome!! Thank you for helping me celebrate my anniversary!!

One of the best overall experiences our family has had at a hotel It was very clear that whomever is running this hotel is setting the bar and leading by example The social hour chef came by and chit chatted with us and did not push us out even though dinner had already ended

His assistant that helped with clean up was very courteous and friendly too And my picky teens enjoyed their supper My husband and I came down to the lobby late for popcorn and the evening hotel clerk was already cleaning it (it was after all, 20 minutes past the time for popcorn) He went back to the office and grabbed us 2 bags of already prepared/sealed popcorn Such a small thing but meant so much that he would go above and beyond like that Rooms were very clean We felt like we were among people we’d known our whole lives and weren’t just a hotel guest Refreshing to get not only top notch customer service from someone, but rather a top notch customer experience our entire stay Great job, Drury Inn! We’ve booked the rest of our travels around your locations now

Justin Fowler

One of the best hotel experiences in recent years Thank you Atmosphere was spot on… concierge took ownership as of their own brand was on display

Very impressive! I own a little plumbing business and know it’s not apples to apples but nonetheless learned a ton about how to provide amazing customer experience!! I didn’t catch the name of staff but kudos Here eating evening shindig and it’s great

Chris Harrell

I cannot say enough about this hotel! The staff are awesome, cheerful and always ready to help The rooms are very nice, clean, quiet and very comfortable The bathrooms are top notch, always clean and never lacking

The atmosphere and fellow guests are very friendly and safe, unlike many hotels in the DFW that offer similar accommodations Everyone here is just like your neighbors! The daily drinks & dinner service is the reason I fell in love with Drury Free drinks for adults, soft drinks available for everyone, and a dinner buffet that does not disappoint! Salad, BBQ, steamed veggies, baked beans, hot dogs for picky children Breakfast has something for everyone They have eggs, bacon, sausage, as well as yogurt, cereal and oatmeal, and more Like I said, I love this hotel and I just can’t say enough!

Rico was Amazing!! My air unit went out at my home and I called @830 in the morning to see when the earliest I could check in and Rico allowed me and my kids youngest being 11mo to check in as soon as we arrived He was Absolutely Amazing and so thoughtful The customer service was excellent

The rooms was very clean and stocked with everything you need I will definitely be back

Austyn Bailiff

When we went the hotel was full, but the staff was friendly and if they were understaffed you could not tell They really stayed on top of their game and were hospitable, friendly, and helpful We stayed for several nights and the breakfast in the mornings was very good

Also, the pool was a good size so if you were wanting to get some morning laps in or take your kids outside for some fun it was a great spot

Not everyone is from the south and comfortable with high-temperature heat!It is Feb 2022 and the temps here lately were in the upper 70s My hotel room temperature registered well into the lower 80s OK, a solution would be to turn on the central AC

The first day I was here, the central AC system worked After the first day, the rest of the time it was not working Why? The hotel turned off access to it Why? It is NOT cold enough outside to FREEZE the AC unit For a hotel to “CONTROL”, the comfort of their guests is UNACCEPTABLEIt is an extended-stay hotel that offers you a kitchen Nice! But the problem with this is people using the garbage disposal and not understanding that you need to use cleaning solutions in the disposal to keep bacteria from forming and causing the hotel to smell outside of your room or in the rooms around you My room was on the first floor so guests above me all water disposal ran down through my pipes Soon, the bathroom and kitchen sink which are on the same side of the room as each other started to stink I had to go get bleach and put down the drains to combat the smellsI understand limited housekeeping because of the scare of COVID but extended stay guests should have their rooms, drains and all CLEANED WEEKLY to prevent smells affecting other guests and affecting their comfort level of stayBreakfast was basic and the front desk staff was great! Just sucks that comfort is controlled by hotel maintenance/hotel management and other guests LIVING at the hotel don’t understand cleanliness which messes up the comfort of other guests**Hotel management, please do not respond to this post “claiming” you do not control the central heating and air system because it worked fine and then doesn’t And if it isn’t working properly, then you need to UPDATE the hotel, which from what I was able to ascertain, has not been done for 10 years and is in dire need of updating anyways so begin there**

Amazing! We arrived at 3am and the front desk staff were there with smiles on their faces! The hotel lobby and common areas were beautiful and our room amazing! I was able to detox from our long drive in the tub before going to bed and if was an absolute dream!

Staycation Experience — we truly enjoyed a quick weekend trip her and will definitely return againCute and trendy stylish hotel, professional and friendly staff and very convenient location to restaurants and shops Beds were comfy and room was spacious

We did have a slight issue with the ac not cooking in the living area, while the bedroom area was just right The manager quickly moved us to a new room and was very accommodating

James Mann

We stayed here for a corporate event recently, and it was the perfect hotel for our group of 60! It’s a beautiful hotel in a central location, and the rooms are updated and well furnished (nicer than similar hotels I’ve stayed at in the area) Plus the two bars that were on site were perfect for getting together after hours Sherri Ray was awesome to work with in making all the arrangements for our group! I’d definitely recommend this hotel to others (whether for business or personal travel)

I had my wedding reception in The Grand Hotel Ballroom a few weeks ago!Megan Lamm (the Wedding Director) and her team did a fantastic job Megan is very organized and made sure every detail we planned together was taken care ofFrom her team setting up our decor, to keeping a tight schedule, to the food (oh my gosh the food was delicious

many of our guests complimented us on our food selection and the signature drink we chose for cocktail hour) – everything went SO smoothlyMy husband and I got to just thoroughly enjoy the evening with our friends and familyAlso, the Arts & Blooms Festival was the same weekend and thank goodness Megan helped bring back the hotel Valet, so that our guests would not need to worry about finding parkingThank you so much for being part of our special day – I would recommend the Ballroom to anyone that wants a classy reception with great food from Rick’s Chophouse, all conveniently located in Historic Downtown McKinneyThank you again for everything!!

My daughter reserved a block of rooms for her wedding reception weekend I called many weeks before the reservation and gave my credit card When I arrived they told me I didn’t have a room

After about twenty minutes of researching they finally found me a room I had reservations for two queen beds We had 3 people and needed two queens But they have that room away The room they found for me was a king so daughter had to sleep on a roll awayThen when I checked out they overcharged me so had to get that corrected The water pressure in the shower was very low as wellI will say that we had a private dinner in ricks chophouse and it was Fantastic!

I really love this hotel We checked in at 1am and there was staff waiting at the desk, which I haven’t seen often at other hotels I appreciated being given my choice of floors

The pillow-top mattresses were very comfortable and there were both cotton and feather pillows on the beds The bathroom was well lit and spacious with Paul Mitchell bath products in the shower 😍 A free breakfast was served from 630am-9am with breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles, and breakfast pastries available Very comfortable and enjoyable stay I will return

John Brent “Headshot Professional” Tinsley

John Caver answered the phone and was attentive and accommodating We ended up checking in and he went above and beyond to make our stay special The hotel has a grill at the pool and a fire pit

The kids had a great time and I was able to squeeze a little work in The King suite has plenty of room and couch bed was comfortable for our 11 year old The location has plenty of restaurants near by Overall 5 star experience

Shannon Singleton

We stayed for 7 nights and never once saw a housekeeper We ran out of toilet paper, soap, towels daily, was asked to leave our trash cans in the hallway for pick up The hotel is poorly staffed and therefore is dirty and not kept up

The rooms are nice but the cleanliness of the hotel is poor Workout room was dirty and obviously the equipment is never wiped down, floor was gross The weight set went from a set of 5’s to 15’s and then 25’s and up Overall the hotel needs more staffing and an emphasis on cleanliness

I was so close to leaving a bad review based on my experience in one of the restaurants here during my stay But luckily, when I went to the lobby to discuss the issue, I ran into Heaven who not only heard me out but did everything in her power to make things right It’s been so long since I experienced the level of customer service she provided at any establishment

I was beginning to think people just weren’t trained to provide a good experience anymoreBut Heaven was great She made me and the person with me feel valued and appreciated I went from feeling ignored and, honestly, wondering if my treatment was based on race, to feeling important and considering returning in the future and possibly hosting an event here myselfOne thing Heaven did for my guest and I was she personally escorted us back into the restaurant and introduced us to Kelly, who after hearing about our initial experience, made sure to turn our evening around Kelly was funny and kind, provided great service, and kept our glasses full Kelly and Heaven really turned our experience around, and I’m so glad we didn’t let one person ruin our evening The rest of the weekend was great This place has some great people providing service for the guestsAlso, the room we were in was very nice and super clean And I’m a person who LOOKS for a spot someone night have missed The bed was comfortable The lighting was great This is one of the top 3-star hotels I’ve ever stayed in

The Marriott Dallas Allen team and especially John Vasquez are SIMPLY THE BEST! You could not ask for more professionalism than what John provided to me (and I am sure countless others) The attention to details was unbeatableAlthough my stay was only for 2 nights for a work trip, John provided phenomenal care, and knowledgeable service that I never had received before, and that is saying something as I have stayed at a number of wonderful Marriott properties across the world

That is why I am truly appreciative for the great recommendations, insights, and understanding of my circumstances I had which John always graciously answered, solved, and recommended to me Regardless of what my problem was, you could not ask for a more customer caring professional than John as it was absolutely evidentJohn exemplifies class, empathy, care, and understanding the importance of the customer experience I have recommended my friends, family, and work colleagues for this specific Marriott hotel solely due to John’s stellar quality of service, and hope this is the standard for all services across not only at this establishment, but for every company – regardless of service

Justin Thresher

Booking into the room was painless and the gentleman “kyle” was very friendly and professional Our room has a beautiful overlook of the pool area with a king bed very comfy The food at the restaurant was delicious, $18 for buffet style pulled pork and mashed potatoes

Well worth it!! The bar in the lobby was phenomenal or at least my evening was 😁 Good people great atmosphere!

My husband was a viewer of the show, so he was very excited to go Everyone you encounter is super sweet, and there is a lot of neat memorabilia here We were a little disheartened that most of the filming of the show did not happen at this location, but only the outside scenes were filmed at South Fork in Texas

Super friendly donkeys, 10 out of 10 stars It was cool to see the old Lincoln Continental

Soumyodipta Mukerjee

What a blast from the past! They have a ton of great memorabilia from the show Dallas Glad we stopped in! I have fond memories of watching the show every week with my parents when I was so young Though I don’t remember much of the show( considering the fact that I was a kid back then) but the ranch did bring back fond memories of our family watching the show together

Walking around the property was awesome A staff from the museum clicked our photo and the price of the photograph was very reasonable and we were glad that he did as he did a wonderful job So we can carry back a piece of the ranch in the photo as well along with great memories

Tim

If you’re a fan of the TV show this is well worth a visit Starts with a guided tour of the mansion where you also learn the history of the ranch and TV show, after which your free to roam the other buildings and properties Really relaxed, no one will rush you, the people are very friendly and knowledgeable, on top of that the prices are reasonable, all in all a good way to spend a few hours

WARNING UNSAFE PARKING LOT: There are people stealing catalytic converters from vehicles parked at this hotelWe were victims this morning Totally ruined our plans and day

We filed a police report Parts are at least 5-6 weeks back ordered We had to rent a car to get home We will need to return when vehicle is fixed We WON’T be using this hotel againAs for the hotel itself, beside the UNSAFE PARKING LOTNice and new Modern feel Very spacious suitesLove they are pet friendly, but high fee Complimentary breakfast is better than Holiday Inn, IMORoom had trouble keeping temperature, but that’s not uncommon for many hotels Beds were a bit too soft for me And of course your typical horrible hotel pillows They really aren’t pillows if they have absolutely no support

TA VEY

I was a little nervous because of the person who was a victim of catalytic converter theft However, I took the chance The workers were very polite

The room was very spacious(2 queen bed suite with kitchen) Housekeeping was very prompt I wish breakfast was open til at least 10 during weekday, but hey🤷🏾‍♀️ The location was very convenient Lots of nearby stores, including Walmart Quiet area No complaints

This review is long overdue from our stay in January and I’ve forgotten the names of the staff who served us during our stay They were amazing and very friendly and catered to our needs We decided to have a small B-day sleepover here for my son’s 10th birthday since Covid cases had spiked a tad bit

Our stay was everything that I had hoped it would be for my son and he and my nephews had an amazing time We were able to reserve a 1-hr time slot for the pool just for ourselves After swimming, the staff provided the boys with a basketball to play at the courtyard The room was clean and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything that we needed! We got a chance to enjoy the complimentary breakfast the next morning and it was great Thanks so much!!

Stayed here during ice storm 2022 as I work at the hospital nearby and it was a great stay Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms are very spacious with full sized fridge, and they had fresh coffee all day I came back at 1am one of the days and doors were locked, quick call and they opened them for me but I was glad they had this extra security to keep guests safer

Almost forcing you to pay for the also extremely high rate for a basic continental breakfast or buy something of barelyhigher but of basic same value from their bistro which is at least prepared freshly This is a major flaw in the services offered by this hotel in my opinion

Normally don’t care to write reviews for hotels but I was fairly impressed The room was crazy spacious and at the price, very cheap and high value When we walked in it was hot like a sauna but the AC worked to cool it down pretty speedily

Front desk was kind, nothing special to report First floor had everything including a fair fitness center Location was decent with a fair bit of shops and restaurants close by We stayed for an event at the Allen Event Center but the nearby surroundings were solidBreakfast is provided so that’s cool It’s nothing special but it’s included in the cheap price already Unfortunately, pools are outdoors and often closed (closed on our visit) whereas other hotels have outdoor pools and jacuzzis that remain openThe main complaint is that the shower drain is annoying to deal with and extremely slow Each shower my feet will be submerged in soapy water as I’m ready to leave so I take extra time to wait for water to drain before rinsing off finally It was a bigger deal than you might imagine (at least to me), but great service, cleanliness, and overall positive impression puts the hotel at 4

Stayed one night The front person was nice room looked fine We turned the tv on and it was inaudible

Thank goodness for subtitles The AC must’ve been 30 years old, it was SO loud Got up to go eat some of their breakfast…wow it was bad Just thankful for bananas On my way back home I noticed BED BUG bitesWouldn’t recommend staying here unfortunately

Emily Killham

Staff was nice, place was clean However, our shower did not work during our stay The best they could do was a key to a second room (without enough beds for our family) where we could shower

Neither maintenance nor the manager, Amit Patel, could be located during our staySince the stay I have tried numerous times to reach management, to no avail In addition, IHG Corporate has explained this is an independently owned and operated hotel by Everwood Hotel Properties and so they can also not provide any or accommodation

We are locals on an overnight trip Ethan checked us in He was very friendly and professional

He was able to accommodate my room upgrade request He set us up in a very nice suite, which had a balcony overlooking the courtyard The room had a very nice layout and was very clean We would have appreciated a different brand of toiler paper, because the one in our room was very coarse Not sure what brand it was The covered parking garage was conveniently located across the street from the property Unfortunately the dining facility on the property was not available to us the evening of 7/9/22 because it was closed We appreciated the many dining options within walking distance The property is centrally located to many shopping and dining areas We would certainly stay here again!

Pretty decent room Nice little balcony! Not as clean as I would have liked, and very uncomfortable bed! Nice views and restaurants near by Safe and clean parking lot well lit with plenty of spaces

Probably gets pretty crazy when there is an event If i stayed again I would request a room overlooking the courtyard rather than the street I’m sure it’s staffing related but they didn’t have breakfast the day I was there, which would have been fine if the very nice guy who checked me in hadn’t twice told me the hours and location of the breakfast I could expect All in all a fine place to stop, a little on the expensive side

This was place okay The beds were super stiff and the room was quite warm (March) I turned on the AC and the unit was EXTREMELY loud and make a clunking sound

I had to turn it off so we could get back to sleep I requested a room with a bathtub in the notes at booking and didn’t get one There was also 0 toilet paper in the room so we used KleenexLocation is superb if you want to have a few drinks after an event at the event center Beyond that, it’s nothing to write home about

We recently stayed for a night at this location and were excited to arrive with our past experience with Embassy Suites This location was great but had some setbacks The room condition was excellent, the A/C worked but seemed to be struggling

My wife and I set it to 70 degrees and left the room for the evening and arrived to it still trying to reach 70 degrees It stayed on for the majority of the night trying to cool the room down It did not bother us much, but it was worth mentioning Additionally, we wanted to enjoy the pool and spa later in the evening and found that it was occupied for “swim lessons” The entirety of the pool was coned off and the swim instructors were using all of it My wife and I sat in there for a while hoping that they would finish but had no luck after an hour This was upsetting due to the fact that we paid for a room with the amenities provided but it was being rented out for a local swim school I would hope that Embassy Suites would understand that we are headed into hot summer days and guests will want to use the pool more regularly I would rather go to another hotel down the road that keeps their amenities for guests staying there instead of other local businesses Other than our frustrating pool and spa incident we really enjoyed our stay The breakfast is excellent and all of the staff is very nice!

Meagan Murret

The pool was clean and well maintained The evening reception was fun and did not have long waits for drinks Bartender was friendly and accommodating

Lobby was very pretty Morning breakfast was delicious! Room was clean, AC worked well Only complaint was that the fold out sofa was very uncomfortable and there were no pillows for it The extra blanket was gross and scratchy

Jaysen Bechtel

The first couple of days we stayed here, there was a very strong sewer smell between the lobby and convention center entrance doors The entire hotel was very clean in appearance and I loved the myriad of fountains Our room was very nice except for the fact that the air conditioner did not seem to function

My wife gets sick to the point of nausea in Temps above 67 over a long period of time (hours or sooner if she gets a hot flash) The first night a maintenance worker attempted to fix it The next day we asked the front desk if they had a fan or could we switch rooms They told us that they would get it fixed, but we still returned to a room that was above 74 I went and bought a fanBefore we booked the hotel we read somewhere that they had 24/7 room servicethey do not Room service operates between 5pm and 9pm, and they don’t deliver to the roomyou have to go pick it up Their breakfast setup was great and the food was good They do custom omelets, but nothing else The bartenders were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to take of a room service order that was not correct even though the cook had already closed things downThe pool/gym were clean and well stocked The hot tub did not work the first 5 days we were there It was working 2 days before we left The sauna did not work the entire time we were thereOn our 6th day we upgraded our room so an older son could spend some time with us The room’s AC worked and it was cool enough for my wife not to need a fan The views from both of our rooms was amazing Oh, and FYIlate checkouts cost an extra $25 Not that it really mattered, but we were not informed of this and did not find out until hours later

My stay was amazing!! First of all every staff member was so friendly and helpful The hotel in general is very nice and clean The free breakfast and dinner plus 3 adult beverages was the best! Also we had access to fountain drinks 24 hours in the lobby

The hotel bar and kitchen was very nice and drinks and food anywhere we went in the hotel was so good! My room was so big and so nice much bigger than a typical 2 queen bedroom in a hotel Pool area was very nice and actually had plenty of towels to use unlike most hotels I highly recommend this hotel Very family friendly!!! I will always be looking to stay at this hotel chain from this point on I absolutely cannot say enough great things about this hotel!

Fantastic hotel in Dallas! I stayed here for work and it was perfect Service was great, people are very nice and accommodating, room was large with good amenities, and the whole place was pretty clean They serve breakfast and also unlimited soft drinks and coffee/teas all day

I went down to get a hot tea every night Did eat at the Kitchen twice during my stay and enjoyed it Had the Bavarian pretzels, a turkey club, and even the berry dessert All were tasty! And the parking garage is free! Would definitely stay here again and look forward to when I can!

Hotel was not nice The beds are awful and not comfortable at all The mattresses feel like they are probably 20 years old

We had to leave a night early because we couldn’t sleep another night in the beds We had to have our keys reprogrammed at least 3 times The pool was randomly closed when we arrived They wouldn’t refund the last night because I paid in advance We left anyways The place is not up to Hilton standards and the hotel and corporate was no help at all The lady at the front desk was very nice but wasn’t able to help us either

Anita Vyas

As great the location is, next to outlets, there is ZERO housekeeping service here I repeat ZERO So be ready to take out your own trash, ask for towels and toilet papers etc

We (mom and 2 teenager boys) stayed 5 unfortunate days and didn’t get a single day of housekeeping though we requested it the moment we checked in specified day and time Reconfirmed and asked over and over again morning, afternoon and evening Yet nothing Then I just took all the trash out and dirty towels and dumped it outside the room It sat there for 2 days with no one to pick it And then the concierge had the audacity of calling us at 11:15 pm when we were asleep to say that we had a ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door so got no housekeeping We have a pet and we were specifically asked to keep the beware of pet sign on the door I took it out after 2 thinking maybe that’s why we weren’t getting service For sure not paying $75 for my pet dog as there was no cleaning service I’d rather pay myself that money for taking the trash out and keeping the room clean and bringing my own toiletries This is my second bad experience with Hilton so this is going to be a bad breakup Hilton never again

Phil Ruffin

We had an urgent need for a room, and just showed up in the night They were very accommodating We slept through breakfast, but they located some yogurt and apples for us later

The 3 different front desk agents were welcoming and friendlyIt was a good choice
