We rented a 20ft camper van to make the trip from Detroit to Orlando and made a reservation for this park on the way home It’s nearly exactly halfway and a great price We only needed electrical hookup

I had a reservation with a late check in Staff was super nice Park is clean, bathrooms are clean Quiet except for some occasional road noise but didn’t bother us any Beautiful area Very small park so definitely call aheadWe will return on our next trip

Wish I could give it less stars The trash woman who answered the phone for one Our house caught on fire and my wife tried to get a room because we aren’t allowed to be at our house

She turned her away saying they don’t rent to locals I called to talk to her and she told me the same thing then hung up the phone on me What a piece of trash person What a piece of trash hotel So many better places to stay in Sweetwater Avoid this place like the plague Who turns someone away whose house just burnt and has no where to stay Regardless of your polices That just shows a lack of compassion and character I will do everything in my power to trash this hotel any chance I get

We drove 10 hours today and we’re looking forward to a good nights rest however… the toilet didn’t work in our room No other rooms available We suggested we could put up with it if the Room was complimentary BUT that wasn’t an option Instead a person showed us how to manipulate the toilet with the lid off

Management offered a small discount The girl at the desk did her best but really??? Is this the holiday inn???

Ritzy Boo

My family of 5 got 2 rooms to stay in for a night 3 of us shared a room, there were outside bugs that somehow got in, the walls couldve been cleaned a little more thoroughly (there was some kind of bug smashed on the wall by the lamp) the room other than that was fineThe beds however were more like 3 stars; they were uncomfortable

I woke up with back pain and a semi restless nightAlso the bathroom door wouldn’t shut so we weren’t able to lock it at allIn conclusion the service was fast and breakfast was delicious! Thank you for your services!

Me and the family stayed overnight on our way back from vacation and had the greatest stay! Everything was perfect The property was clean and quiet To make the stay worth every penny, we were greeted by front desk clerk Bebe W

She went above and beyond for us We didn’t arrive until after midnight and she still had a smile on her face and was very friendly to my family and I She made sure we went to our rooms without a need left standing She accommodated everything we needed and made sure we got our value worth We had a young one and she went out her way to make sure the young one had milk for the night and she also brewed fresh coffee upon our arrival She went above expectations and delivered absolutely amazing service Bebe W Is definitely a asset to this company I was a GM at Hilton years ago and I would have loved to had a full staff just like her! She gave us the best holiday inn experience ever!

We had such a great time at Hiwassee Acres!Kathi and David couldn’t have been kinder They made sure we had everything we needed and were such a joy to talk to Our apartment in the lodge was huge and beautifully decorated

The grounds are gorgeous with river access for swimming, kayaks available to use, beautiful spaces to sit and relax, plus so much more that we didn’t have time to do it all It was fun feeding the animals and loving on the Great Pyrenees, Watson Many things to do within an hour drive including scenic drives, waterfalls, and white water rafting Wonderful getaway!

Susana Pereira

Hands down the best family vacation we’ve had This place is a hidden gem, a little “piece of paradise” as I like to think It was so much better than we thought it would be

Kathi and David are the kindest, friendliest people and provided amazing hospitality The house was super nice and clean and had everything we needed There is plenty to do and enjoy on the property (nature walks, hiking, rock wall, fire pit, kayaking, farm animals) We didn’t get to do even half of it We definitely need to stay longer next time! We love love love Hiwassee Acres A beautiful and peaceful retreat So glad we found this place!

Brittany Seeley

I am just so thankful that I caught a video of this gem of a place and looked into it A small group of us booked a stay for a little weekend birthday relaxation and fun I was absolutely blown away with everything

Kathi and David are the sweetest and most accommodating hosts Our unit was very clean and cozy The amount of activities available to us were amazing Disc golf, basket ball, hiking trails, kayaking on the river, bonfire, and getting some fun time with the cutest animals! The property is so beautiful at all times of the day, but especially in the evening when the fireflies are out doing their dance in the field It was just such an all around amazing experience and we are already making plans to go back! Kathi and David, thank you so much for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful life with us We LOVED it!

I just moved out of my apartment and needed a place to stay until I leave town the next day My room was very clean I had 2 Queen size beds and the mattresses and pillows were very comfortable

I slept very well My sheets and towels were clean and I could smell the bleach in the bathroom The bathroom was very clean My room appeared to have brand new carpet The walls in my room was painted a couple of shades of green which was very appealing to me The room temperature was set at 74 degrees, the room temperature was very comfortable it stayed cool in my room Also, I was on the 4th floor and had a very good view I could see everything from my window My only complaint is that the ironing board cover needed to be changed I looked old and was very dirty Overall, I enjoyed my stay It would of been nice if I could have stayed longer I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Quirky Clarke

The mana at the front desk was nice and the check in process was smooth and easy My room is clean and smells good, they have free breakfast in the morning from 6-9:30 The pool area is open until 11pm!!!!! Which is amazing nowadays most hotels close their pool at 9pm

The hot tub works, pool is chilled(not bad though) they have a cool slide and water umbrella sprinkler for kiddos Slide has a weight limit of 325lbs so adults can get in on the action too!!! This one is definitely saved and starred♥️♥️ Half way between FL and MI

The staff here were pleasant, the pool and fitness center were great, but the cleanliness of our room was definitely not what I would call clean The floor was not vacuumed, there were broken crayons, and crumbs of food throughout We had a king-size bed, which was comfortable, but there were stains on the down comforter

The hideabed we had in our room had food particles under the cushions The bathroom floor was dirty, and the toilet definitely had not been touched or sanitized We should have requested a different room, but we had an extremely late check in, 1 am and had a very long day We came in for a funeral, I was very emotional and exhausted and just needed sleep and some quiet time

When we arrived it took forever to check in Heather was all over the place when trying to check us in Honestly, she seemed high

Once we finally got our room keys we get to the room and one of the keys wouldn’t work at all We got in the other room and it was so hot and smelled so bad We asked to move to a different room and that room was really hot as well No free breakfast, which was a huge disappointment We’ve stayed in other hotels who served breakfast throughout covid so there’s no excuse for breakfast to not be served Cleanliness of the hotel was very poor The hallways needed vacuuming and the rooms needed moping In bad need for new towels They’re rough, dingy and stained This place has really gone downhill compared to how it used to be during previous stays

Melissa

My family and I stopped to stay here on our way home to Ohio from Florida The room was nice and clean The beds were comfortable

The bathroom was a decent size Wifi was consistent TV had loads of channels The bed pillows were a little small, but I didn’t mind as much as my husband did The lady at the front desk was friendly The hotel is a decent distance from 75 North, but we didn’t mind The other hotels close to 75 were either all booked or way too expensive This hotel had so many stores and restaurants nearby That was a huge bonus for us My one and only complaint is the noise We could hear talking and loud motorcycles all night long So loud that we could hear it over our box fan on high and the room AC cranking I’d suggest asking for a room away from the road, on the backside of the building Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again

Daniel Gilley

We have stayed here on many occasions, and each stay has been a pleasant experience, and the room we like, the Superior King, is plenty roomy and comfortable, and well worth the cost What really makes this inn special is the family that owns and operates it The owners are super friendly, and they will make certain your stay with them is everything you hope it will be

Overall, I give it 5 stars because for an inn this nice located off the interstates and away from the big city is truly a jewel

We understand the hotel is four years old At the time of our visit the bottom three floors were closed due to a break in the sprinkling system Nevertheless, the hotel common areas were very clean and our room was spotless

Very large bathroom with nice tub / shower and good lighting (my wife made me say that) Bed was very comfortable Didn’t use the pool or fitness room but they appeared to be clean and well maintained Staff was welcoming and friendly The complimentary breakfast was what you’d expect but still good and fast enough to get us back on the road We’ll likely stay here again next time we’re passing through An overall good value

Debo FiveKlub

I came in town for the Perry Stone Conference and really enjoyed my stay at this hotel For someone who normally stays in 4 star hotels, this was the nicest and cleanest 2 star hotel that I’ve stayed in The hotel looked and smelled fresh and clean when you first walk in the lobby and also the other parts of the hotel

The room was bigger than what I thought it would be but most importantly, the room had icy cold AC!! I sleep much better when my room is on the cooler side and I was happy to find out that I could set the thermostat at a temp that was comfortable for me Some hotels have the AC controlled by corporate or some other outside group Terrie, the breakfast buffet manager was amazing (Give her a raise)! She not only made sure that the buffet had enough food, but she also had friendly interactions with the hotel guests She made sure that everyone was happy, well fed and comfortable with the breakfast buffet area I am glad that turkey sausage was available along with the pork sausage for us who don’t partake in swine I hope that the next time I stay there, there will be more of a variety of breakfast items (maybe breakfast potatoes, bacon) I was very impressed and look forward to staying there again next summer

Heather Hurt

Loved our stay The only complaint I have is the pillows and bed If you’re a person who likes firm pillows or pillows your head won’t completely sink through, definitely bring your own

The bed was too firm, was not comfortable at all for me, I prefer a softer more pillow top bed Those are my only complaints though, the rest of the room and our stay was perfect

Miss Kim, the lady at the front desk was just excellent and very professional Yes it is expected of front desk staff to be polite and nice but when somebody does it naturally like she does and makes you feel like you do matter as a guest, I think they need to be commended Kudos to her and the breakfast kitchen lady who was equally courteous and just welcoming

I will definitely come back to this hotel when I happen to be in town Thanks y’all

Great KOA for an overnight or a holiday! We stopped here for an overnight on our way north and were very pleased The staff was excellent! It’s obvious that they take a lot of pride in keeping the campground clean and well-maintained Our site was near the playground and offices, which was great for the kids

Nice level site, easy hook-ups, nice patio, and more We’ll definitely keep this location on our list!

One of our favorite campgrounds we’ve been to The staff is friendly, and I’ve never seen such a general store It has groceries, fresh local meat and eggs

They also have a small kitchen that they can cook and deliver from a menu Quiet, serene locationwe got a deluxe site because it was the only one left It was a nice surprise though Will definitely be back!

Heather Nance

Wow! An incredible experience all around! Not only is this an immaculately clean campground located in an absolutely beautiful setting, but we felt totally at peace and welcomed like family as soon as we walked in the front door! The entire staff was attentive and caring We will definitely visit again!! Great location right next to the interstate, several restaurants, and near Walmart We were traveling with a small dog We arrived and there was already some type of animal hair all over the bed and chew marks on the chair legs

We called the front desk and they changed the linens within 10 minutes,no issue There was human hair on the sink and tub, but we just cleaned that ourselves No bugs, weird smells, or people hanging around outside other than other guests The staff we met were not overly welcoming, but pleasant and helpful The bed was hard as a rock, not firm, just hard We didn’t sleep very well and woke up with stiff backs

Melissa Pace

Room floor was very dirty Bathroom door wouldnt shut The wood on it and expanded from chronic shower water exposure

Comforter had burn holes in it and had seen better days We stopped after long travels Was thankful for pet friendly rooms Dog kept barking at noises The door at the end of the hall had a band on it to keep it from locking Surrounded by 3 abandoned houses Definitely not worth the 90$ I got charged Night time check in lady was nice Man in the morning was very rude Snapped at me about my room number, basically accusing me of sneaking in my dogs even though I paid the pet fee for all the dogs on 2 rooms Pool outside had been filled in with cement! No bugs

Bonnie Muse

Riff-raff at the front door People knocked on our door to ask us if we wanted to party No manager available, couldn’t get a phone number for manager

Shower head had a lot of crud on it Ac vents were disgusting Good coffee Room was clean other than ac and shower The folks at the front door were a big deal to me Every time I left my room they were hanging out in the hallway outside our room I believe they are regulars from how the acted
