Hands down the best hotels i stayed in a while On the road trip down to south, my family didn’t drive far enough to our expected destination and left with no hotel at 1am All hotels i called were fully booked

Front desk staff offered us one room with no show when we arrived at 2am He offered that huge suite room at the regular room price and extended our checkout to later time to allow us to rest! Room was huge, clean and well maintained Location is just off of 95 making our trip more convenient A huge shout out to Paul, who was the manager at the floor when we arrived Thank you for accommodating us!

Xavier

After my semi truck had broken down my manager reserved multiple nights here I’ve done plenty of traveling and stayed in many hotels but the operating manager Paul made the hotel feel amazing In the morning there was a complimentary breakfast that was ever rotating in new items each day

The gym was extremely clean and had all the gear one would need The staff are friendly and accommodating If you need a night or multiple nights to stay choose this hotel The money is well worth it here

Jake Layman

The hotel is not only physically in excellent condition, but more importantly the staff are extremely kind and friendly In particular, a gentleman named (I believe), Mr Patel, was exceptionally pleasant to deal with

They cook their own cookies – and it is extremely rare for a Hampton Inn to even have cookies near the coffee to begin with As someone who stays in about 110 hotels a year, I recommend this place It is not often that I take the time to review a hotel

When checking out at 4am I waited over 15 minutes because no one was at the front desk for me to checkout I finally called the hotel & a young man popped up from behind a desk in a room with a glass window directly behind the front counter I had awakened him, he looked startled

I asked were you sleep that whole time, I’ve been yelling hello for over 15 minutes & it took the phone to awaken you? He apologized & checked me out Other than that the hotel is beautiful, & the other staff were very helpful & friendly

We parked in the back of the hotel because it was closer to our room and my vehicle has damage to 2 of the 3 doors from someone trying to break into it The rooms were not clean and did not feel secure The lock on the interior of our door to stop people from coming in was wiggling off

The access panel in the shower was falling open and we had multiple bugs in the bathrooms Room smelled like bleach and the ac unit sucked There were coffee stirrers and stains under our night stand and none of us used the coffee so they were from a prior guest There wasn’t enough toilet paper or towels in the room We got a double queen room and I don’t recommend it for a family stay (2 adults 1 toddler) We booked this room over others in the area because of the dining for breakfast as we have a picky eater child and when we got there we found out it was $5 a person for buffet style instead and it was not good at all and didn’t offer any of the items our child would eat which was disappointing We ended up eating out the rest of the trip due to this which was not what we anticipated for convenience and expenses I booked this through our Costco membership and got charged an extra $42 dollars at the hotel plus the $50 incidental deposit which completely voided the point of us staying there for the discounted rate The only reason this earned 2 stars was the staff, who were very nice for our interactions with them I don’t recommend staying here however for the other reasons listed

D

Clean, modern rooms and friendly, attentive staff I love Holiday Inn hotels because they have the most comfortable mattresses and pillows, it’s like sleeping on a cloud There’s a bar/restaurant in the lobby for when you don’t feel like going out and also plenty of restaurants and stores across the street in the plaza for when you do (ShopRite, Subway, McDonald’s)

There’s a Burger King and gas station just outside the front door of the hotel and a Walmart less than 8 minutes away This hotel is also just off I95 and only about a half hour from Downtown Baltimore We opted to stay here because it was more affordable than staying directly in Baltimore We will definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area

King Anthony C

I had a lengthy stay here for business rooms were clean and great housekeepingThe breakfast buffet however, only consisted of cooked eggs and bacon i for one do not prefer pork charging customers 5$ only providing the bare minimum is unacceptable I have been to other establishments under IHG who provided better quality and range of breakfast for my stays

It was everything I expected being a former serviceman It was first of all clean both inside and outside The personnel were courteous and helpful

The room was a little small but had many amenities The complimentary breakfast on Thursday could rival any restaurant even with theCovid 19 restrictions I could do an extended stay there and not miss my home My compliments to the base commander for keeping things in “inspection order”

Coco Powers (Blakkbutterfly)

This hotel has met or exceeded my expectations The rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly and helpful Housekeeping does a great job and overall, I’m very satisfied with the hotel

The hotel is two blocks from the PX and Commissary, and a block away from the gym and library – very convenient Breakfast every day and a dinner social on Wednesday I had considered other options, but I’m glad I chose to stay here and would definitely recommend

Terry McElroy

Very comfortable hotel Cheaper than whats available off base, staff is excellent, friendly and attentive Rooms are clean and spacious

I have stayed here on multiple occasions and the beds are very comfortable, heat and ac are great, breakfast is continually upgraded and has hot items, pastries, yogurt, bagels, juice, fruit, coffee Security is excellent since you’re on a military base Quiet roads nearby to walk or jog on, plenty of parking Highly recommend if you are able to stay there A new Candlewood hotel is being built next door that will replace this next year

Stayed at this hotel for one night and will never again First off, the hotel is going through a modernization and I understand problems with arise When I checked in I was giving room 339, a room on the far end of the hotel that seemed to be updated

Once in the room my son took a shower and when done told me the hot water was going in and out I didn’t think much of it until about a half hour later in the elevator a gentleman over hear me and my son conversation and asked what room we were in He had the exact same room the night before and had to be moved because of hot water issues I went to the front desk told them the situation and was told that they would get me a new room Eventually got a room across the hall, room 340, checked the hot water it seemed to be working The next morning wake up turn on the water to take a shower, no hot water I let the water run a good 5 minutes, still nothing I went down to the front desk informed the lady working everything that had transpired and she was very apologetic She offered me rewards points for a future stay or a discount room rate Since I was not a rewards member I opted for the discount rate She apologized again and told me an updated invoice would be sent to me via email I thanked her for her help and went on with my day Rest of the day went by, no new invoice That evening I get an email from the manager also apologizing for my stay At that time I checked my credit card to see if I was issued a refund/discount for my stay To my surprise was I not given a refund or discount for my stay I was actually charged $25 more than the original email invoice I was sent I then sent a reply email to manager asking to address the problems I have mention above Three days later, still no reply back from the manager but they were nice enough the charge me my original room rate Bottom line if you are in that area and looking for a hotel go somewhere else If I can make just one person who read this review change their mind about stay there I did my job!

Amber Guyer

This was a decent place for a quick overnight stay They are being remodeled, so things are not at their finest, but getting there We got a large room with 2 queen beds and a trundle under the couch

It was just the 4 of us so it was more than enough room They had fresh coffee, fruit infused water and cookies near check-in when we arrived late in the evening There’s a Cracker Barrel just a few minutes walk away, plus other places within a few minutes drive They had a decent breakfast available the next morning, cereal, muffins, fresh fruit and even prepackaged Jimmy Dean bacon or sausage sandwiches, plus coffee and juices The TV was being weird and we couldn’t get the volume to down we didn’t use it much

Keyuana R.

Room was clean and nice I was checked in by a nice gentlemen for early check in Everything was great until after having dinner and arriving back to the hotel that night and was asked by a rude man at the desk “umm do u stay here? Even his coworker thought it was discriminatory and rude

I showed my key and he asked what room number ONLY to me walking in I emailed about this problem, NO response! Very Poor customer service My entire stay was unfortunately destroyed by this moment

Robert Brobst

The hotel was comfortable and well kept Breakfast was OK and as a free perk was ok but could be better The staff put up with our baseball team all weekend and we tried to be aware of other guests

The suite bathrooms could be nicer and bigger The toilet was about 8 inches from the vanity and the door cleared the bowl by 2 inches There is a lot of space in the suites and remodeling the bathrooms to take a bit of space from the room is certainly doable

Ryan Blumenthal

The room was comfortable and the sheets and blankets were clean The shower takes a long time for it to get warm which was a bit annoying as we don’t always have a ton of time Breakfast was your average hotel breakfast nothing special or poor

The pool was nice for the bball team Overall not to bad but there are nicer ones in that same area

K Klapkowski

The folks here were so accommodating and kind! We had lost our reservation at another hotel and we were looking for another room on the spot and the lady at the front desk was able to find us a room at the last minute Thank you thank you!The room was clean and the pool was nice!

I did have an OK stay However my first night was very cold and did ask the front desk to have engineering work on the room heater I was gone all day and the heater was not fixed

The front desk clerk was going to offer my first not and no charge however I have not seen any follow up regarding that credit Please reach out to me with any resolution Also PLEASE check heater in room 219 Hopefully it can be fixed by next fall I will be traveling back to Aberdeen for work and would like to stay at your hotel againThank you,Kevin

Location was unbeatable for The Ripken Experience Pool was great for kids, but very loud for adults Some sound deadening would help

Food was good, continental breakfast, indoor small dining selection, and outdoor County rule for drinking was a hindrance for adults with the fenced in area being ok, but not at the picnic tables outside of that area Another set of elevators would be worth the investment for customer convenience Some attention to detail for maintenance issues needed (showerhead, tiles, exterior door key card locks) Definitely the recommended location to stay for Ripken tournaments despite any issues

Mike Romain

You have been warned!!!!So I came into town for a one night stay at this hotel Woke up the next morning to my vehicle and multiple others in the parking lot on cinder blocks with their rims and tires stolen Advised the hotel about the situation and they informed me that they do not cover vehicles on the premises for damages and I was pretty much out of luck

Spoke to corporate and they were unhelpful and let me know their insurance does not cover vehicles on the premises With that being said I was left to pay for all related damages in addition to multiple night stays at the hotel If possible choose other options for lodging in this area Pictures are attached to back up my claims

We came to Baltimore to visit some friends and stayed here We checked in and had some issues

gum on the floor (that was missed in cleaning), our room was only cleaned 1 out of the 4 nights we were there, we had to continuously ask for towels, and the breakfast was not worth the amount per night The positives are that the desk staff was very quick to answer our questions and address our concerns The biggest plus of this hotel is LOCATIONlocationLOCATION!!!! You are less than 10 mins from major shopping (Target,Mall etc) and eateries Easily accessible to highway and AVOIDING TOLLS!!!

Daniel Nealy

It was a hotel room Breakfast was lacking quite a bit My girlfriend and I went to breakfast the first morning, one hour before breakfast was to end and there was one carton of milk and nothing better than sandwiches and soggy/bagged waffles

The pool looked ready to use, but there was a chain holding the gate shut The ATM and one of the elevators were both out of order

Jonathan McHugh

A surprisingly good experience here Definitely feels like the Marriot takeover brought quality to the brand Our 1 bedroom “suite” was decent, felt like a good sized studio apt minus the kitchen (tho there was a microwave, so bonus points)

The bed was a bit to be desired but fine enough for a quick stay (2 nights for a family gathering) Has Netflix/Youtube built in to the tvs which was nice Downstairs they serve bfast, coffee from 7-10 and its limited but decent, perfect for a quick bite Theres a small convenience stall there you can get some essentials Pool was closed while there but looks small tbhTheres also plenty to do close by, the Ave at White Marsh is walking distance away But they sell out Quick on weekends, so if youre gonna book, do it a week or so in advance Parking is free also w your stay Our rate was cheaper than Airbnb’s in the area, so we’d probs book again if we come back down

Booked ahead and could not get refund so stayed cause we’re tired and everything was booked Grounds were filthy, trashy Back key entrance did not work so we had to walk around the entire bldg to get in

Did not feel safe Room was clean but old Door did not feel secure Only had deep tub, could not climb into to take shower so had to sponge bath Good thing we were headed home

Stayed for 2 nights for a business trip Front desk switched our rooms quickly after we asked about it due to our first room smelling heavily of cigarette smoke even though the entire premises is smoke free After that, our next room was clean enough (i

e slight sticky carpet, some stains on sheets, but nothing major) Most of the front desk people were blunt and unwelcoming, but there was 1 or 2 staff that made up for it The location was exactly what we needed for our trip, but the area definitely isn’t for vacationingOverall, this hotel is pretty textbook 2-star quality If you need a place to stay in a pinch, it works

I never am one to complain because I am a very understanding human being and have worked in the service industry for years That being said, this was the worst hotel experience of our life My family booked this hotel because we always have great Hilton experiences

However, during our stay we checked in very late ( due to travel delays) When we opened the door to our room we could smell the smoke so badly it was making us sick and my kids slept with face masks on so they wouldn’t smell it The bathroom fixtures were falling off the walls Dirt piles built up in the corners of the bathroom and awful stains all over the carpets from the living room area to the bedroom All of the furniture was scratched and should have been thrown out 10 years ago The picture of the room I booked and paid for was absolutely not the room I got My family didn’t feel safe, however checking in so late we got 4 hours of sleep we could not get out fast enough When I went to complain about the experience the only thing the person said to me was “ well why didn’t you complain so we could change your room?” Because it was 1:30am and we had been traveling for 14 hours I have never been so upset and disgusted by a hotel before Please do your research before staying at this hotel I promise it’s not worth it There’s plenty of options in this area Don’t get scammed like we did

deborah Hildt

We have stayed here a few times ! It is close to shopping and restaurants Right off I 95 This time we brought our fur babies and only had to pay a one time fee for the whole stay

I would of given them a 5 however some of the staff wasn’t real friendly! Also the rooms we very clean and nice However the refrigerator froze everything in the fridge, there wasn’t any coffee cups had to ask for some We had a king bed I think they could of used some new fitted sheets They were off the corners Over all it is a nice place and not bad prices We will definitely go back when we are in town

The Staff needs a class on customer service skills to professionally send a message on policy I wouldn’t stay here again I understand they deal with loud people all the time being close to the stadium

Friday at 9pm we just arrived and were told like 5 year old men and women to go to our room to finish watching the NCAA tourney as we ate our pizza That was way out of line They shut the TV off and took the remote away with 5 minutes left in the game They proceeded to call the police of which nothing came of that except the police said they were told there was a brawl going on It was evident that didn’t happen Their house rules we were told is no one is allowed in the common area at 9pm of which we weren’t told that while booking for if I was, I would not have stayed here At first they said children could t be unaccompanied anywhere in the hotel and then expanded it to adults also We then found a sign that read 10pm common area closure hidden and the guard verbally told us 11pm We were allowed to stay outside by the pool area the remainder of the evening which we did I knew when I walked in to check in, the way the lobby clerk greeted me very unwelcomingand treated me this was going to be less than a pleasant stay So much for $423 for 2 nights stay When I checked out today, I didn’t even receive a thanks for your business or come again Don’t worry, I won’t

Briar Ledge

The staff at the Hampton Inn Aberdeen really made a stressful extended stay feel like home Our stress was quickly relieved at the front desk the moment we arrived Anastasia and Melody went above and beyond in making sure everything was as comfortable as possible

Anastasia even stayed beyond her shift and greeted us daily with a friendly smile and wave She’s a treasure The next morning I was impressed again by Sabrina who chatted with me while she manned the breakfast nook Once again, someone made me feel less alone I honestly can’t say enough about the helpful and kind staff

Tracy DiLorenzo

Customer service and front desk was HORRIBLE on Friday night 3/25 One girl was Anastasia and the other did not have a nametag on and said I did not need her name when I asked We were literally kicked out of the lobby on a Friday night at 9:00 when we were just sitting having pizza watching the March Madness games

Front desk staff told everyone they had to go to their rooms at 9:00 even though the sign said lobby area was open till 10:00 and we asked the time when booking and told 10:00 One parent asked why they had to go to their room at 9:00, they were just watching the game and eating pizza and was told “Cause I said it was closing” He explained they wanted to watch the last two minutes of the NCAA game and she turned the TV off with two minutes to go and said “Go watch it in your room” Then a security guard came over and was extremely rude, told everyone to leave now and then called the police for no reason at all No one was being loud or rude except the staff It was the worst customer I have ever seen at a hotel and we travel a ton There are a ton of hotels in that area and will never stay there again I then asked for an extra box of tissues for our room and the two people at the front desk didn’t say a word, went and got a box of tissues and just handed it to be staring me down Never said a word, no have a good night, no sure let me get it for you, no thank you, not a single word I could not believe how rude they were for no reason Another parent did online check in with digital key and that did not work when they checked in so he came down to the front desk He was informed by one of the same girls that the digital key didn’t work and it was his fault he didn’t check in at the front desk instead of going right to his room, even though the email said they did not need to stop at the front desk The issue was not that the digital key wasn’t working, it was the fact that the front desk staff again was extremely rude They should not be in the hotel business if they don’t want to deal with customers I will tell everyone I know going to Aberdeen for a baseball tournament to not stay at the Hampton Inn There are plenty of hotels in that area that can accommodate teams that likely have better customer service

Would stay here again anytime! Everything was very clean and the people were all awesome Breakfast was fine Bagels, croissants, oatmeal envelopes, breakfast sandwiches of: sausage, egg and cheese, yogurt, coffee and juice

Small selection but fresh Almost forgot! The pool was closed but looked very inviting and the rate was mid priced in comparison to the other places around AAA discount was helpful Only negative remark was the No Pet policy but that’s understandable My usual travel partner takes her dogs everywhere

We were in this area for youth sports and picked this hotel mostly based on proximity to Cedar Lane Park Our stay couldn’t have been better The staff was attentive and efficient, our room was clean and comfortable, the common areas, pool, breezeways, etc were clean and well maintained

The breakfast was standard fare for hotels of this type and had plenty to offer Overall, this hotel was clearly well managed and operated by dedicated and motivated people Will be back when I’m in this area again, would highly recommend

They cook their own cookies – and it is extremely rare for a Hampton Inn to even have cookies near the coffee to begin with As someone who stays in about 110 hotels a year, I recommend this place It is not often that I take the time to review a hotel

Our first time staying here, and everything about this place is a notch above the rest, EXCEPT ONE THING, THE PILLOWS ARE TERRIBLE! They’re too soft and flat, and there’s no support for your neck From the front desk to the decor, and the rooms We got the King Suite, and it’s really nice! There’s a small kitchenette with a 2 burner electric stove, microwave, full size fridge, and complimentary snacks and soft drinks and water

A nice sofa in the sitting area with a swivel flat screen TV sitting on a chest of drawers, across from a desk and office chair with a charging station on the desk Then a king size bed with night stands on either side, also with charging stations The bathroom is large with a very roomy walk in shower The closet is right next to the bathroomThis is one of the best hotels we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in! The furniture is in excellent, like brand new condition

We have always avoided staying at this location only because we thought it was more expensive It actually is more reasonably priced than some of the other hotels and after our first stay here, I would not stay anywhere else The convenience of staying here makes the Ripken Experience so much more! If you get a room overlooking Cal’s Yard you baseball kid won’t leave the window when they are in the room

It also allows your other children the option of remaining in the room if the weather isn’t great or if they want to sleep in on an early game Our twin girls were thrilled we didn’t have to bring them to a 7am batting practice for an 8am game The only reason I didn’t rate the rooms a 5 star was because our first room had been cleaned with something that had a very strong odor We contacted the front desk and they couldn’t have been more helpful Brian was outstanding and helped move our room immediately The service was really outstanding and I haven’t experienced the kind of service and concern for our happiness than I did with Brian at the front deskThe kids have the best experience at the complex at night They can watch games under the lights or play their own games on any of the other unoccupied fields If you don’t stay here the kids don’t get the full Ripken Experience! I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when playing at Ripken!

In from out of town for my sister wedding, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable, stayed in a 2 room and 1 room suite, kitchenette was nice to haveNO blow dryers that was inconvenient traveling, I assumed a hotel would have thatSome rooms have water for you some didn’t, clean and nice breakfast options, you can ask for a go box to take back to your room, I liked that!! Staff very friendly, I would recommend for travel business or pleasure

The mattress and sheets were dirty The lady at the front desk did offer us another room However when we went to that room the mattress and sheets was worst

I would have left but it was a storm and I didn’t know where I was at Traveling with young kids So my daughter slept in the chair The lady told us to speak with the manager in the morning They lady in the morning was rude The manager came out by that time my daughter was over it and was yelling at them both because they kepted acting like it was no big deal He gave us back $4000 which was a slap in the face I would love to post the pictures for proof but it us not allowing me It was beyond disgusting 😪 They are not even worth a 1 star stay somewhere else

The kids running around during breakfast touching everything and running into everything The general manager doesn’t reach out or care about guest concerns Do not waste your time here
