Went here in April 2022 for my honeymoon Jade at the front desk was amazing The rest of the staff were also super nice

Every single one of them were super friendly The hotel itself was okay It did has a very nice view of the ocean with the boats The location was also pretty amazing The other option I had was downtown Here was able to get in and out with no problems, even with concerts at the entrance It was wonderfulThe room had a few spots that were damaged and the fireplace didn’t work all too well We had to mess around with it to get it to work a bitThe food was super expensive It was very expensive for what it was Was it good? I had the fries and draft gummy beer I did enjoy it, but I don’t know if I’d say it was worth the price But it was good The staff here were amazing tooOverall opinion: expensive I think what was my biggest issue was is that it didn’t match my lifestyle Staff were incredible

Jessica Maris

Beautiful room and hosted my best friends wedding! It was beautiful, friendly staff and amazing food Everything from the decor to the cake was lovely! The room for the couple was big and had a spectacular view of the marina I think everyone should have a tub like the one here ❤️ I will visit when I come back, the navel base was an awesome treat to hear and see

The planes fly over and you see some amazing ships The bay is beautiful with the downtown skyline gorgeous views

Erin Hylton

The resort was gorgeous and well appointed The view from our balcony was of the gorgeous Kona Kai marina, and it was very relaxing Inside the room was spacious, especially the bathroom shower

The Vessel Restaurant was a tasty spot we went to several times when we were there We got the breakfast package as I am a morning person, and it was scrumptious! The staff was courteous and helpful I highly recommend the resort

Overall, I found this hotel charming, and it had some stunning views My friends and I often commented on the tropical feel of the hotel I definitely like the marina view rooms over the ocean view

The ocean view suite had a road in between the beach views We hung out half a day at the pool, but the poolside bar was closed – it opens after Memorial Day With the hotel stay, we got access to a music venue, which was tons of fun The staff was very friendly and sweet There were great restaurants at walking distance I definitely plan on returning!

Leana Hardgrave

My husband and I stayed here for five nights and it was a lovely stay Our room had a gorgeous view of the pool and a peekaboo view of the harbor beyond The room is clean and nice, but the r draw is the beautifully landscaped property in a perfect San Diego location

They have had live music every night, strong drinks at their lounge bar, and (out of their control, but still worth noting) beautiful sunny days followed by gorgeous sunsetsDuring our stay, they were offering daily service for the rooms if you called to request it – otherwise housekeeping would not come by Great place to enjoy San Diego from!

Heather Bender

The campus of is beautiful and well maintained Loved the privacy of our junior suite Views were wonderful

Our only complaint was the bed It was very hard and probably late in its life span I was in a lot of pain most of my trip from the bed My husband never has back trouble and could hardly stand If only the bed had been as well appointed as the rest of the resort If you need a comfy bed this is NOT the resort for you

The staff here was nice and it had great vibes There were 3 fire pits that I know of that you can sit at during the night time while watching the sunset and it was right on the Marina so the views were incredible Clean rooms and awesome place

1 downside was the parking Lots and additional parking lots were always full Sometimes you’re stuck circling around waiting for people to leave That is the only downside at this hotel Other than that issue, everything else was good I would come back again

Corintha Jeter

Every experience I’ve had visiting San Diego has been awesome This Sheraton has to be the best of all, the guest service personnel is amazing from the time you arrive and exit the shuttle Brain was so nice and informative when we needed to know about places we was going to visit

Alex was awesome as well during check in Shalonda helped us when we arrived back from our 1st day and had to get our keys we watched her handle herself very well with a difficult customer She stayed very professional throughout the entire conversation with the lady We had nice views from our room, the Rooms was nice and clean Had few issues getting extra little towels but we eventually got them Our sister trip was a success!!! Thank you for an awesome stay

Sarah Campbell

This hotel is beautifully located next to the bay The restaurants I tried were pricey but delicious I spent quite a bit of time at the pool which never seemed to get busy

The room was comfortable even though the bed wasn’t great it had a nice view The only negative was that the shower didn’t drain right, after every shower you’d be ankle deep in water

Beautiful hotel and resort The grounds are gorgeous and they do a lot of things well in terms of aesthetics I think food options and restaurant accommodations could be better and more diverse; however, there are lots of options in town

Stay in one of the renovated parts if possible for the best accommodations They don’t provide room service and also do not service rooms, but they do accommodate requests for room cleaning easily I feel for the cost, a quick room refresh should be standard though Beach access/amenities and pool ambiance/service were great

vic NY (Vic NY)

This hotel has two parts, the original historic building and the new part We stayed in both parts They did a great job preserving the historical part of the hotel

However the rooms in the old part are just too historical and old for my taste I even jokingly said they smelled historical because you literally needed to air the strange smell out The carpets and furnishing were all too old and worn out for me Old building I can only give it 35 stars After we moved to the Cabana View, it was day and night Everything was brighter and moderner and cleaner You definitely should book a room in the new building, preferably an ocean facing one while enjoying the historical common spaces in the old one The new building deserves 5 stars The grounds are nice and the service level is high compared to the one we stayed in Santa Barbara This hotel is super busy in the high season If you don’t like the crowd, try to avoid the busy season I am sure the experience would be a lot less hectic

Bobby Moore

Staff is amazing and down to earth if you allow them to be Otherwise they are just professional and follow through with their jobsThe rooms in the cabana are beautifully done

Very put together Well worth the pricingThe restaurants are delicious and pricey! But again delicious, the service was great Staff, fun and attentiveThe location is perfect Parking easy, view amazing The Hilton Hotel Del made our couple days here magical Thank you

Great location with some of the best views around Beautifully landscaped and very well maintained Service and staff was mostly top notch as they were very friendly

One of the staff went as far as to even get me an iced tea when there was none in the area of the hotel I was sitting at Only exception for rating 4 stars on service is that one of the cleaning carts was blocking my exit from the room on the day of check-out (cleaning crew was next door) Also would say that the rooms are very nice, spacious, and well maintained; however my couch had some small stains on them The color almost blended in One of the towels that is used for the floor just outside the shower area also had a stain on it Another reason for the 4 star rating as a 5 star rating hotel would catch these things I would definitely come back to visit for a vacation with my family I trust Marriott hotels and their standards seem to be high and consistent no matter where in the world I have stayed with them

Denise Kelly

This is solidly a 45/ star hotel The service was excellent all around, from check-in, restaurant, pool bar, valet and concierge

The rooms were clean We stayed in a resort view room, which overlooked the wellness center If I were to return, I’d choose a water/pool view Hotel is great for families The location on the island is the only negative It’s the quieter side with less things to do Overall great hotel and great value

madeline & jonathan

My wife and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Coronado Island Marriott We give our highest recommendation to this hotel and venue Every step of the way, the hotel event staff made us feel cared for and valued, and they were very on top of the details of coordinating our event

Our wedding day itself was just magical They made sure that everything was ready for all our vendors We had our wedding in an outdoor tent, which was just beautiful The food was incredible, people keep telling us how delicious our food was The event staff also were so attuned to our needs during the event, even bringing me additional entree after I finished mine (I didn’t know a second one was even an option) There really aren’t enough positive things I can say about the Coronado Island Marriott My wife and I would choose this venue again and again, and we look forward to visiting in the future to re-live our happy memories

Beautiful hotel and a wonderful staff If you’re considering grabbing a bottle of wine from their convince area save yourself the money and go to Ralph’s (walking distance) They didn’t have price tags on their wine, but it was $45 per bottle that I got

The breakfast buffet was delicious I love a good omelet station Plenty to choose from Staff in here was super nice and helpful Outside seating was a little chilly and the put the heaters on for usThe view from the 21st floor is incredible! Pool is heated, but was still too chilly for my little one She was happy to check out the hot tub Love love love the fire pit tables around the pool for the end of the dayFree charging for electric vehicles, but there are only 4 stalls It’s a slow charger so it took about 9+ hours for us to get a full chargeGreat location, plenty of things in walking distance!

Tim Mallett

I enjoyed my stay at the Marriott Marquis The room was comfortable and clean My view was great

The food at my convention and the breakfast buffet were delicious I was very pleased with the late check out I was granted Lastly, the gentleman at the shoeshine station was very kind and did a nice job on my shoes I highly recommend him

Bill B.

Great location for attending conferences at San Diego Convention Center Convenient to Seaport Village and harbor activities Nice view from room

I recommend rooms that face the harbor as the street side can be noisy if you’re a light sleeper As for service, the staff were very good except for when I asked that the dirty a/c filter be changed in the room on Saturday and had to ask again on Monday when it was finally done

Booked this hotel for my Birthday week and I’m impressed at check-in Beautiful hotel newly renovated, friendly fun staff, and they know how to take care of their customers I just received complimentary champagne for my special day, and they upgraded my room to a suite for my birthday as well! My sister and Mom are enjoying their suites as well

I can’t wait to see the sights in the morningUpdatestill impressed especially with Joshua at the front desk and my girl Miriam who took EXCELLENT care of us at breakfast My family officially adopted this gem Great stay from the beginning 3 stars is not accurate

Mohammed Uzair Admani

Stayed here for a few days recentlyCustomer Service – generally excellent Check In and Check Out were both quick and smooth

Staff was friendly and accommodating when an issue came up with something in the room (the iron had something on it and stained my shirt, a new iron was provided quickly)Room – the room was clean when I arrived and is a slightly larger than average size They are well lit and has a standalone AC/Heater unit next to the window that worked well The walls are definitely thinner than average however as I could hear someone in the next room snoring throughout the nightLocation – located in a beautiful, easy to access areaParking – available on site for $15 per night They have some spaces available outside the front door as well as a garage beneath the hotel that always had open spotsCost – seemed reasonable compared to other options in the areaThere is no breakfast included, but they have a restaurant available in the restaurant that I did not end up tryingAlthough an overall nice hotel, Im not sure I’d stay here again mostly due to the thin walls as everything else was pretty good

Rebekah C

I can’t say anything bad about this hotel! My boyfriend and I were in town for a wedding and stayed here for a few days The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating The rooms were comfortable and clean

We were facing the Bay side and the views were beautiful The hotel is in a great location close to a lot of restaurants and entertainment Next time we come into town, we plan on staying here again Thank you for being a big part of an enjoyable trip!

The Beach Villas were amazing – the concierge and the Serena restaurant in particular were spectacular Such a wonderful visit with family! We loved the small pools too The only downside was that the food at the takeout / breakfast spot was surprisingly below average

We didn’t mind though because that didn’t make a big impact – the experience overall was incredibly memorable! We loved sitting on our balcony and staring out at the ocean

Joe Espinoza

the hotel staff was amazing and made my stay there so relaxing we stayed at the beach village and the concierge staff was amazing as well as the valets I only had an issue with one middle aged bartender working the taco shack on the beach with a tiki torch carrying haircut that wore sunglasses every day even though the whole time the beach had an overcast, he was a jerk every time so I decided not to spend money or time when he was there, but I won’t let him bring down the score of the entire operation, he was a blip that will probably be fired soon anyway

The valets were fantastic, even the fedex worker on site was friendly and so helpful The grounds are very clean the recreation managers are on point with everything you sign up for The gym had to be one of the best gyms I’ve been to and I’ve stayed at a lot of nice places there was construction going on but where I stayed it was not an issue all the shops and restaurant outside the hotel are in walking distance and some on the opposite end of the island would take about 30 minutes to walk to or you can rent golf carts around the corner from the hotel The beach was clean, the pool staff was excellent, we paid for a cabana and the staff was good enough to kindly ask a family that commandeered the cabana and the reserved pool chairs while we were swimming to find another spot which saved me the heartburn of having to do it we stayed at the beach village which are a bit older but in good condition, the other parts of the hotel are newly renovated and look amazing inside, very modern looking with plenty of rooms with beach and pool views All in all except for the bitter taco hut bartender I rate this an excellent stay and would recommend to anyone I will definitely visit again

We had a wonderful time The location was perfect and resort had nice extras like coffee in the lobby every morning and different snacks or activities daily Covered and gated parking was really nice

Rooms were spacious and well equipped Bed was comfortable and loved having extra blankets and beach towels available The roof top spa was clean and hot and perfect for soaking in the evenings There was some issues with noise from the room above when they walked and the family next door letting their young child play in the hall but our room faced the parking lot and we heard no noise from outside They had free bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas to check out which would have been nice if it had been sunny during our stay

Julie Knowles

The location of the resort is definitely five stars as it is right next to the Hotel Del Service was also excellent, but what was not five stars was the roomMy husband and I are local and I had originally planned on cooking most of our meals there

Luckily I checked the amenities beforehand and noted that there was no oven and only a hot plate I had to adjust our plans and there was barely enough counter space to use the hot plate and my husband had to prep at the tableWe were also both working remotely and the only place to really put two laptops was at the tableWe made it all work and we had a really nice week at the resort!

Sarah S. Johnston

At the Coronado Beach Resort we received excellent customer service at a prime location just a few minutes walk to the beach It is also walking distance from excellent restaurants, shopping, and close to the airportOur 1 bedroom unit had a large refrigerator, plenty of newer silverware, dishes, and glassware so we were able to eat in whenever we wanted

The rooftop patio and hot tub was clean and lovely I would highly recommend the resort for your stay on Coronado Island

It is hard to beat the location of the hotel Right at the waterfront, with a spectacular view all around The hotel looks new, well maintained

The rooms are a good size, quite The beds feels old, mine were slanted My one complaint was the shower is slow, and it takes a while to finish The AC on the other hand works perfectlyThe team running the hotel is great

John S

A couple shots of and from the place But this was probably one of the most convenient hotels I’ve ever stayed in You’re able to walk to and from very easily and they have a bunch of great food and drink options right at the hotel

One weird thing was, water was not free unless you bring an empty water bottle and use one of their refill stations near the bathrooms on the main level but they do not provide water in the roomsOther than that it’s a great place to stay The pool was great and all the food we had “on campus” was delicious, especially for a hotel There is a daily destination fee that they charge but that provides you a $15 credit that can be used at the hotels restaurants and convenience store It also include a free 1 hour bike or kayak rental from the place a few minutes down the boardwalk AND a daily free shuttle ride to and from Coronado Beach

Eva Garcia

Very nice clean hotel The bed was very comfy I loved the pool and elevators

AC worked really well Good walking distance to Gaslamp Quarter and stadium The only down side was all the additional fees I had to pay There is a fee for parking at hotel you already pay a good amount of money to stay at, the parking should be included with your stay

We just spent our honeymoon at this lovely resort From the moment we walked in, we knew we made the right choice! Friendly staff, spacious rooms with private balconies and awesome views! Underground parking was great! Property kept really clean! The Sea Spa offered a couples massage and it was also top notch! The Cays Lounge offered great service (even had Heineken 00) and live music was definitely a plus! We will definitely be back!

Mia Lee

Major props to Alex at the front desk for an amazing welcome and check-in experience He was so helpful and cheery! The room had an amazing view, and we spent a lot of time on the balcony looking at the great sea view The cleaning crew is very wonderful and warm, attentive at their job too

The stay itself exceeded our expectations Also enjoyed interacting with the porters/valets at the main entrance of the hotels, they give good directions! Our only complaint would be the expensive self-parking fee Overall, amazing stay!

The room we were given for a recent Friday night stay can only be described as a small motel room with very little space to move aroundTo their credit, the Glorietta Bay Inn did put many amenities in the room A modern TV, a desk & chair, comfortable queen bed, two nightstands, occupant controlled heating & air-conditioning unit, mini-fridge etcThese items took up much of the space available giving the occupants a cramped feeling When you pay over $500 for one night, you have the right to expect a little more space for your moneyAside from the size, the air in the room was stale, suggesting it needed some cross ventilation Maybe the air conditioning unit’s air filter needed to be replaced as wellBalancing all this was the excellent customer service from all the staff with whom we interacted They were friendly, polite and very well trained They made our stay enjoyable and pleasurableOverall, we enjoyed our stay despite the deficiencies of the room I recommend the Glorietta Bay Inn, but advise anyone contemplating a stay here to learn as much as possible about the room you will be assigned Our room was #561

Absolutely loved our stay They were super accommodating to my family and I think we had one of the best rooms in the place for our situation Have a family with little kids, being just steps from the pool and hot tub, each night we would go from our back door 10 steps and into the hot tub before going to bed

The location is 1 block from the beach and you go straight through the Del to get there Breakfast was really good and a huge plus with little kids Hotel is tailored for couples looking for a retreat in the mansion rooms and pretty cool the amount of suites for families I would for sure stay here again BTW – book directly with the hotel vs travel sites, they waive parking and it ends up being cheaper

I would give this place a higher review, but my main issue is with the advertised price that does NOT include the $40 per day “resort fee” This resort fee includes “parking for one vehicle per night, coffee in the lobby and guest rooms (ie

k-cups), breakfast, in the Mansion, as well as other resort amenities”You cannot decline this fee – which is crazy since I didn’t have a car to park, didn’t use the pool, and the breakfast in the mansion was not much better than a typical chain hotel breakfast like at a Best Western, Comfort Inn, etcLook close at the price details before booking

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful I really wish all aspects of the room were as wonderful as the staffUpon entering the room, you see a relaxed, beach inspired theme, but you’re disappointed when you look a little closer

The room is very spacious, but the condition of the bedding and bathroom was not as I would expect a 4-star hotel to be The pictures on the Marriott website make the hotel appear nicer than it actually isI had issue with the stained sheets and questionable yellow soiled spots on them I did request new sheets and the staff promptly brought them to me Additionally, the closet had a damp, musty smell as well, so I made sure to keep the door closedI probably would not stay at this hotel again, but would come back to enjoy some food at the restaurant I loved the shrimp enchiladas

Super friendly staff, the gal that helped me up front starting with an A was the best person to work withLocation is the best on the west coast, you literally walk out right to the beach, there’s not many hotels on the coast that you can do thatRooms were very clean, except for the pack and play that was sent to me, it had some sort of stain on it

Great atmosphere and lobby, they have happy hour every day free for all guests, beer and wine and some small finger foodsThe building it self you can see some signs of wear from the saltwill definitely be back

If your ever in Imperial Beach California this is the best possible place to stay Not just because they are beach front, but because they have everything thought out for you which makes your stay here painless I went to a graduation down the street and the price were fair considering your next to beach, park, food joints and shopping all walking distance

The pier is walking distance as well The beds are comfortable and the shower shoots out full blasting water Not like other hotels that barely shoot out because water pressure is turned down They have a restaurant down stars and I didn’t get to dine-in but I will next time so I can’t comment on it Staff was definitely cool and the place was extremely clean Come try it out and get the full beach/shopping experience IB offers

Had a horrible experience here I would not recommend this place at all One front desk staff in particular was horridly rude

During the middle of the night I noticed bug bites similar to bed bugs and I texted the front desk They offered to downgrade me to a double queen from my so called ocean view king I was tired and ny husband was already sleeping so I said I would decide in the morning When I woke up in the morning I noticed more bites and definitely did not want to stay in that room anymore so I texted them that I’d like to switch rooms The front desk man was so rude; he told me I would have to check out of my room by 11 and he didn’t know when a room would be available That left me afraid that I wouldn’t get a room at all He called my room and had the absolute rudest tone He said he didn’t know when a room would be available and would text me when one was I told him it sounds like I’m not guaranteed a room even though I already paid for it When I asked if he would compensate me for doing my laundry he told me I should be grateful that I was getting switched to another room which he wasn’t even sure when it would be ready

We were very happy with our stay We opted out of daily housekeeping, although every employee we encountered were more then accommodating The location was ideal for all of the great sights and restaurants

The one meal we had at the New York West restaurant/bar was excellent as well My wife enjoyed the Lobster Ravioli and I had the Linguine with clams Phil was our server and he was excellentI would recommend Embassy Suites Downtown San Diego to anyone visiting the area

It is a very nice hotel in terms of location and service In addition to its convenient location to the airport, the marina view of the hotel is impressive Due to the pandemic period there are some constraints in some services

However, you would like to stay in such a nice hotel by considering professional service of reception and restaurants

Alicia Gonzalez

I am late in posting this reviewTo start from the service everyone was excellent! From the tome we checked in to the cleanings ladies to the parking attendantWe stayed here on the weekend of January 14

Me and my husband were Celebrating our 42nd anniversaryThe room was clean and the bed very comfortableWe had a great room with a beautiful view to the bay and Downtown San Diego

Les Sarantinos

Let’s just say

this property is all about location and that’s where it stopsThe ‘ pandemic ‘and being ‘ short staffed’ has effected this ‘tired’ facility and they are using this excuse to the maxNo valetself parking at $45/dailyNo bell hop/ assistanceA stark lobby No real restaurantaside from a pathetic bar that doesn’t have a theme let alone ambiancelimited menue items, and ridiculously pricedThis old property has so much potentialBUT you need to upgrade all the furniture ( extremely worn/ beaten), put in a real restaurant and lounge with ambiance, step up the appearance of your staff do this, and then you could legitimately support the hotel room pricesDo your self a favorpass on this hotelthere is better for the money
