This was a great place to stay I would say one of my top choices in Durham, NC The staff are warm and friendly

My room 438 had an awesome view so I left the window opened I fell asleep easily and everything was peaceful The room gave me an upscale feel but still comfy I will be back to stay eat and enjoy the Hilton life aka the good life

Mitchell Scott

Staff was friendly and room was nice Elevator is a little slow, breakfast for 2 is $36 and about what you would expect for a hotel I wouldn’t recommend it unless the price is included in the room (some rooms include it and some don’t) The restaurant/bar is closed on Sunday so beware of that

The main reason I booked here was for the pool and the hot tub however when I arrived the hot tub had been closed down and filled in They should update their photos and make it clear the hot tub is no longer here Overall it was a decent stay and I would probably stay here again if I’m back in this area

NJ Chatham

I attended an event here, but did not stay in a room The facilities were nice, but the drink service was extremely slow, probably due to a lack of personnel While at my event, the hotel was also hosting 2 weddings and the 2 bartenders could not keep up with demand

If I’m paying $4 for a domestic beer, I would prefer faster service I feel Hilton should have been prepared and provided extra servers, especially since they had a head count for our gatheringOtherwise, the hotel was lovely, the food was tasty and there was plenty of parking

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights, March 26-29 This was the friendliest hotel we ever stayed at Everyone that works there is beyond nice and made us feel like we were special

The breakfast was awesome and the shuttle service had no problem dropping us off at local shopping areas The room was so comfortable and had a fully equipped kitchen The sofa and living area was comfortable and the bed was huge as well as the 55 inch tv This place was so friendly, nice, clean, and comfortable, we will definitely be back

Nancy Caggia

Surprisingly great stay and would stay here again I’d give it a 45Pros:+King bed was extra wide (maybe a CA king?) and comfortable+Room darkening blinds did better than curtains+Shower pressure super strong+Kitchen was well stocked with cooking items, strainer, utensils, full refrigerator, microwave, stove top and a dishwasher!+Bathtub was clean and caulking white

I would have bathed my kids in there and I used to bring Scrubbing Bubbles back in the day+Lighting and desk space usable for work+Breakfast had decent options Coffee and tea all day/night (even had a small bar for those who want happy hour)+Safe well lit free parking+Super convenient location+Outdoor pool looked inviting, private/nicely landscaped and wish it was warmer out to enjoy itCons:-Carpet had some ugly stains and needed cleaning-My husband noticed a blood stain on comforter this am checking out but it was covered by white sheet so didn’t notice till now Maybe his tooth bled but I doubt it Thankful for the extra white sheets but kinda gross-It IS by an airport so there is some airplane noise at certain hours-Prior hotel manager promised a discounted rate and I wanted to see if it’d be honored still and spoke with Manager He assured me Sales manager would get back to me but after 3 calls/messages left with Sales dept and 2 back to Manager and no follow up The answer was obvious but a little follow up would have been professional thing++Kudos:maintenance personThe 1st room checked into had an ice maker making major noise I tried fidgiting with ice maker and noise would come back The maintenance person came immediately (after 6 pm even) and tried fixing it I wasn’t sure it wouldn’t make noises again so staff quickly agreed to switch rooms I like super responsiveness The maintenance person was incredibly polite and helpful Thank you

Overall, I don’t regret staying here The price was good, bed was comfortable and I slept well which counts for a lot! It’s just ashame – there are a few minor things that could be improved to make this a great stay Especially for the several+ night business traveler

Pros:-Quiet-Comfortable bed-Convenient-Clean-Good space- kitchen and bathroom felt modern-Great little sitting area by the poolCons:-Kitchen has nothing useful in it I don’t even know why they bother having a stove The one pot they provide is a giant metal pasta potmaybe try a frying pan or large skillet?-Kitchen has no sponge or other cleaning implement Our brush was disgusting I though it might just be discolored but it ran brown in the sink-BBQ grill was broken-Fire pit was unusable Unbearable high- pitched noise and fire turned off automatically after about 5 minutes Really frustrating given that they highlight this on their website and it’s such a nice place to sit otherwise-Whatever they use to clean hard surfaces is oily/slick so wear socks

Great, clean, convenient hotel close to the airport Would suggest having a car to get around as it is not walking distance from area restaurants but definitely a short car ride away from plenty of options Clean room that could use some upgrades

Safe neighborhood Friendly, helpful staff Free breakfast offering multiple options for almost any diet or picky eater in your group Reasonably priced for the location and amenities provided Would stay here again and reccomend

Anna Parker

The price for this hotel was affordable! However, I did read the reviews and knew what I was getting myself into but it was a last minute booking I gave it 3 stars because the front desk staff is very unprofessional – not well kept appearance, outfit or attitude/tone Secondly, there was a trail of ants near the elevators

Elevators were very old, creaky, and unreliable You could hear it shaking and making odd noises I refused to use it again – I just took the stairs The rooms were not bad It was very spacious (one of the biggest hotel rooms I’ve seen, actually) It was outdated and fairly clean One thing I didn’t like was I smelled marijuana in the hallway The plugs attached to the lamp did not work so I had to move the side tables away from the wall to use the wall plug I saw a dead roach-like bug behind it, dust and a blue lighter? The comforter had a big rip in it and was just a bare duvet The window had some debris on it – maybe caulk or window sealant? I’m not sure but there was a crack in between the windows so outside air was coming inOverall, I did not have a bad experience here I just do not think it’s very clean or kept up often I refused to walk on the floors barefoot and didn’t feel comfortable taking a shower I just felt icky here Read your reviews before booking anywhere

John Silva

The hotel and rooms need updating and a thorough cleaning I killed a worm like bug in the bathroom upon entry to my room, but the bed and sheets were clear The in room coffeee maker does not work, my sink does not drain properly and the shower head only receives half of the water while the rest of it comes out of the shower faucet

The location is convenient for work, but I will not be staying here again

Great service and personnel! Everyone is really friendly, helpful and outgoing! The hotel is really big with many different meeting and conference roomsThe food is delicious and they have a great variety of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options Also the staff is really aware of the importance of gluten free diet (especially in the case of health issues like celiac disease) and everything is carefully separated so that there is no risk of Cross-contamination

Eileen Carlton

A large wedding party was arriving and accomodations were months prior and were told they could check in earlier than 3pm since many were arriving out of country and a ceremony an hour and half later HALF of the rooms were not ready! People were doubling up until they were ready The bride and maid of honor and brides maids rooms were to be near one another but eneded up on sepatate floors! The entire wedding parties room service was taken care of BUT the hotel CHARGED the guests AGAIN separate! Also no directions on how to use the new phone system even the employees came in and had to figure it out in order to show us

No microwave in rooms Plus I got charged the next week a pet fee and there were NO pets there! Still waiting on that to be credited back

Jose Felix Heredero

Perfect location if you want to visit the university, Good food Good Hamburguer, and Tomato basile soapRooms very clean

I will repeat next time Congratulaciones to the hote team

Fun place to stay, amazing location with many fantastic restaurants and bars within walking distance We enjoyed a late night chilling by the pool and listening to the DJI would recommend one of the rooms away from the pool otherwise you will not be able to escape the noise

433 was greatIf you want a quiet place do not stay here, this is a more social hotelWe will be returning

Tyler B

Pros, room was clean and the location is great For the negatives, a lot If booking through anything other than the hotel’s site be aware that an “interior” room has no windows, and barely enough room to get out of bed

It’s so small in fact that you can’t take a shower without the steam setting off the smoke alarm, which according to two staff members happens with some regularity After multiple calls to the desk and 20-25 minutes it was not shut off (can’t be shut off in the room) so we ended up leaving our room well before we intended to check out, while the alarm was still screeching That same smoke alarm also has a very bright flashing LED all night which doesn’t make for a great night’s sleep in an otherwise pitch black room WITH NO WINDOWS Also parking is an additional $20 Resort fee another $10 So what is just supposed to be a simple and affordable place to crash becomes a $200 windowless closet with bad service and an unusable shower I addressed these issues with the manager, Paul, who was quite curt and offered no apology or resolution, and borderline accused me of being cheap for not wanting to upgrade to a room with windows Fortunately the third party I booked through offered some restitution But honestly I wouldn’t stay here again It’s trendy but WAY overpriced for how little you get and a how poorly the manager runs the establishment Also the pool (which was closed) is basically the size of a hot tub if you’re interested in that Try The Durham next door instead

I went with a group of 7 friends last week to eat in the igloos It was really fun and a beautiful night to be there Our waiter was very attentive and friendly

I personally really appreciate that they have an extensive nonalcoholic drink menu because I don’t drink alcohol and it is often hard to find good nonalcoholic drink options I got the ginger beer mocktail which was really good We ordered a ton of food because we knew we had to make the spending minimum We liked all the apps The entrees were not as exciting in my opinion I got the burger which was just fine but nothing special We brought our own birthday cake and they sliced it and served it for us without charging a plating fee which was nice We ended up staying an extra hour past our time slot and we really appreciated not feeling rushed We were some of the only people there so it would have been rude for them to kick us out, which I know has happened in the past I know this place has gotten negative reviews in the past for a variety of reasons but overall we had a lot of fun and the igloo atmosphere is super cool

We had the opportunity to stay at The Arrowhead for an evening away while our family watched the kids As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a smile and immediately felt welcomed Our room was clean and beautiful

The fireplace was the perfect touch along with the small details like the old fashioned radio playing music, chocolates left on the table and a rubber duck in the bath tub! We enjoyed dinner downtown and then relaxed in our room the rest of the evening Breakfast was delicious the next morning accompanied by a warm, friendly staff We can’t wait to come back in the Spring for another visit and experience the beautiful garden view! Thank you for your impeccable hospitality!

John Peterson

A total “Wow” experience from beginning to end If you love historical places, cozy comfort, delicious breakfast and not thinking about the daily grind – this is a spot you have to visit We stayed in the Lipscomb room and it was so comfortable with an amazing bathroom and steam shower

Despite it being at full occupancy the house was still so quiet The owners Ron and Stephanie are gems We will definitely be back again soon

Richard Dial

The room was lovely but the water took a few minutes to heat up, and a full body mirror would have been nice We liked the classical music playing and how the food was served to us, but the breakfast was way too small For such a luxurious top rated B&B we expected a much bigger breakfast, not just a waffle and some fruit

One employee said we should have specified what we wanted to eat on the reservation but how were we supposed to know? Some eggs and potatoes at least would have been nice We would probably book again if there was a bigger breakfast

I’m blown away by the hospitality at this unique hotel Everyone from the concierge, to the people running check in, to the wonderful restaurant team and beyond is so incredibly hard working and warm heartedSome notable things: The check in process literally took 45 seconds

The hotel has so much character and history Everything is sparkling clean There’s plenty of parking The pool and restaurant are open until 10pm (Restaurant technically open until 11 for lounging) The food in the restaurant is SO GOOD We came in for dinner wearing pajama shorts and baseball jerseys, yet the restaurant team was nonetheless welcoming and courteous They even changed the tv in the lounge to the baseball game we were watching We went for a swim in the indoor pool, and a gentleman came in about halfway through our swim and dropped off a load of warm towels We felt so welcomed by all of the extra touches that this hardworking team of people put together Whether you are just traveling through, playing golf, or visiting Duke, this is THE place to stay in Durham This will be such a treasured memory on our road trip Thank you to everyone here for making our stay so memorable!

Teresa

I’ve dined at the restaurant for years and had great experiences The menu often changes During holidays like Valentine’s Day, there is a set menu and live piano music (the prices are more expensive than usual, of course )

I stayed at one of the hotel rooms last year during the pandemic, it was very clean and quiet The decor was elegant If you are in Durham or at Duke for business, this is a great option Many locations in town are walking distance or a short bus or drive away

Erica Jones

Lovely hotel near Duke University The perfect location for golf lovers! The hotel features a restaurant/bar, indoor pool, specialty golf store for shopping, gym and valet parking is available if desired The staff was always polite and friendly

Someone in our group left a very expensive watch after our departure We called the hotel and informed them Within minutes they returned the call and told us they located the watch and would mail it Often times when expensive items are left behind at hotels they become lost forever (stolen) This was not the case in this situation The honesty and promptness of the staff was appreciated and applauded I highly recommend the hotel I will be a customer for life😊

Our room was clean and comfortable with a great outside view The staff at the front desk were professional, friendly, and courteous The breakfast in the cafe was hot and delicious

The young lady at the cafe with the tinted hair was humorous, courteous, and made sure we enjoyed our meal The next day there was a young man at the cafe who was just as good Both handled various difficult customer requests with a smile and the best personal service It has a great gym with a lot of clean and up-to-date equipment The pool was nice and clean We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back

Too Long Don’t want to read: Awesome staff, great location near the interstate and city, newly renovated rooms/ lobby , can’t plug in own device into TV, good elite loungeProperty:Rooms are newly renovated and have all the current Sheraton brand furniture The standard king room has a king bed, chair, and desk area, so no pullout couch

Rooms also have large bathrooms and balconies which is a nice plus The only gripe (which applies to most new Marriott properties) is that you cannot plug in your own devices into the TVElite lounge was nice and clean Snacks were stocked 24 hours with sodas, waters, and chips Free breakfast in the lounge till 11am which is great for late morning people (like myself) Breakfast was bacon, eggs, potatoes with veggies, muffins, pastries, and more for both nights I stayed (Keep in mind this lounge is only open for Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador level guests so all this is not open to everyone)Staff:Staff was amazing during my stay Kenneth answered all my questions and was friendly the whole time I was there The breakfast attendant for the Elite lounge was also great and didn’t mind getting me a food item when they ran out in the frontLocation:Easy access to interstate 40 but not right next to it Right between Chapel Hill and Durham so not too far from either There are restaurants as well as Groceries and a pharmacy 05 miles away which is walkable

Neil Kapadia

I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and it was very dated I was SHOCKED to see the incredible transformation It’s now the nicest hotel in the area

Everything is brand new and the staff is so friendly I stayed while the Carolina football team was at the hotel which was an added plus The Sheraton lounge was the best I’ve experienced and I loved grabbing a Starbucks at their new cafe Love it and this will be my go to place going forward in Chapel Hill

Rerouting Pleasure House Rd creates issues getting in and out of Airgate Dr Once you’ve navigated it, it isn’t too bad but the navigation systems (at least mine) have not caught up with the change

Otherwise it is a convenient location to the airport, Brier Creek shopping and highways (I40 and 540) to take you anywhere They also provide an airport shuttle which is very much appreciatedRooms are clean and comfortable Staff is helpful and attentiveBreakfast is adequate with hot and cold options along with juices, coffee and teaI have been using this hotel for many years and will continue to do so

We actually did not end up staying here We had a reservation for 3 nights and when we arrived, we were dissatisfied with the room and checked out The rooms are just very run-down

Our room had an odd smell to it, the carpet had lumpy spots throughout, the heater made a loud noise when running, bed and pillows were VERY worn Also, there was a hole in the door to the bathroom Overall, just not worth spending money to stay here, in my opinionI will say the staff was VERY friendly and made it simple/easy to cancel our reservation I was very thankful for that I just wish they would use some money to renovate throughout

The top pro of the hotel is the pool They’re very serious about only guests entering, which I appreciated It’s a large indoor/outdoor pool

Seating was good & towels were plentiful The grounds seemed nice with a pond, volleyball, tennis, and basketball courtsWe got a suite with a sofa bed and 2 double/queen beds I appreciated that the sofa bedding & pillow was in a nice package The beds were fine The flooring and furniture was super old and stained No USB plugs anywhere, which was shocking Definitely some updates neededWe specifically asked and were told that there was a complementary breakfast buffet in the morning Imagine our surprise to find that it was a paid breakfast in a restaurant! Even the wording on their paperwork (attaching pic) sure seems unclear Hoping they add at least a simple breakfast or counsel their employees to be more specificOverall, would return Location was good and room was decent for price

Laurie White

It is a nice hotel but the sauna and jacuzzi were out of service July 2022 The restaurant served good food and the staff was kind and respectful Breakfast buffet served the basics for $14

Dinner entrees ranged about $30 a plateI had to call housekeeping to make the beds and change towels The hotel is tucked behind business centers so not quite in a shopping/recreational location You definitely need a car to get around

Felicia P

My family and I choose to stay here every year in July and we throughly enjoy the experience The hotel staff is fantastic and go above and beyond with their accommodations The only comment I have is that I wish the hotel would power wash the balcony of rooms that have it

It desperately needs a good cleaning regularly The bars had some rust on them as well

I definitely prefer the hotel in Mebane I feel like the sheets have never seen a ounce of fabric softener They are very stiff and just frankly uncomfortable

My room had a hole in the ceiling above the shower and the fire alarm flashed all night longThe beds are stiff as a board and left me with terriable back pain in the morning The rooms are much smaller at this location alsoThe staff are incredibly friendly and the lobby is absolutely gorgeous But when I get a hotel I want a comfy bed or at least a reasonable one I go to a hotel like this to get a good night sleep and this Hilton just doesn’t compare to the others around the areaI highly doubt I will ever return to this Hilton, I even felt rushed to check out early because the maid service knocked on my door far before check out time at 11: 22 While I was trying to get dressed with my partner It definitely made us so uncomfortable as we walked pass the crowd of maids waiting for us to leaveThey even stared at us the entire time as we walked to the elevator making things incredibly awkwardDefinitely the worst experience I’ve ever had a Hilton but I’ll continue to go because 99% of the time I enjoyed my experience at their hotels just not this particular one

You would think looking from the outside the rooms would reflect it We checked in after I was medicated and discharged from an out of state ER From the ER it was a 3hr drive to the hotel

We did a late check in The desk in the room had a leg that was barely hanging on and there was splintered wood where the Kerig was I know housekeeping noticed this when they cleaned the room Thank God our small child was not with us as this was a BIG safety issue As a Diamond member I was disappointed I feel like they just put guests in any room regardless of member status because guests stay there because of the convenience It’s sad that we’ve stayed in Hampton Inns that are more up to par Y’all need to step it up a few notches, Hilton Garden Inn Durham! The location was good and convenient to the mall, interstate, and shops

Upon checking in, I realized the online reservations booked the wrong hotel and I was charged for their mistake The front desk at the hotel I was checking in went way above and helped me contact the supervisor to correct their mistake Tegris was exceptional with customer service; helped me for over 30 minutes and was absolutely delightful the entire time

As a Trauma Director, I recognize compassion and a sincere work ethic I wish every I had Tegris in my field! Thank you for your hard work and making my stay superb!! Also want to thank Sunday for her phenomenal breakfast and starting my day off with her cheerful smile and sunny disposition!!

The rooms have great decor Beautiful lamps and nice lounge chairs The bed is very comfortable

I enjoyed the shower with two shower heads Nice plush pillows and towels There is a restaurant and bar pool and Jacuzzi The bar serves drinks until 1am The pool is smaller than it looks on the picture The Jacuzzi could have been cleaner This really is a beautiful hotel and one of my favorites I really enjoyed my stay here and look forward to returning again soon Sorry I didn’t take pics I will next time

Was a little hesitant with the star rating but glad we booked The young lady that greeted us was so friendly We got there after 8 so we called to let them know we would be late

I was glad to meet her when we checked in She was pleasant on the phone and also in person Didn’t get a chance to get her nameThe lounge area was clean and the customers appeared satisfied with other staff members that were helping The rooms were clean, bed comfortable and great for an overnight stay No complaints at all

I had the pleasure to spend the last few days at this hotel as I was in town for a gathering of some old friends from childhood It was my first visit to North Carolina and I can not imagine staying in a more comfortable or hospitable location I don’t even know where to begin, but I’m going to start with the most important thing- the beds! Wow! Like sleeping on a cloud! I can’t recall the last time I had a more restful sleep

The rooms were immaculate and the showers were terrific I can’t say enough about the staff, led by the hotel manager Bill who must be one of the nicest guys in the state! Just a really, really super stay Thanks so much, Marriott You nailed this one!!!

Clean comfortable Hampton Inn and Suites The staff was very friendly and treated us like family Our room was spacious; however, it was not well stocked as other Hampton Inn and Suites that we have stayed at

We got 2 towels and wash cloths, a shampoo and a conditioner It wasn’t a big deal it just caught me off guard as we don’t bring extras because we always have a stocked bathroomIn the morning when we left we were given to go breakfasts because we needed to get on the road These were greatly appreciated as was the coffee that was hot and fresh

We were very pleased with this hotel We stayed for one night and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast the following morning The hotel process was very easy, the front desk employees were very nice and professional, and the entire hotel was very clean

Our bathroom was probably the cleanest and most well-kept bathroom I’ve had in a hotel Would definitely use again!

Our stay here was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in a while! The staff; everyone from the front desk, to housekeeping, to facilities, were SO friendly and accommodating My husband had to work during our stay and the wifi was strong and there were plenty of little nooks to camp out in around the lobby when he wanted to leave the roomThe pool was HEAVEN for a toddler

Seriously, I would travel hundreds of miles for this pool It wore my kid out and I didn’t even have to get inEverything was clean and comfortable and the hotel smells amazing I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area!

The rooms are nice, spacious and clean, we stayed for two nights The hotel staff was friendly Michelle, the manager is extremely nice and accommodate me for a one night stay after we tried to check in but was told all the rooms were sold out

Not sure how that could happen when we had a reservation Nevertheless, we were given a free night so it was ok The stay itself was anything but peaceful Constant jumping and running above our room the first night, then on night two screaming kids, loud TVs and running on the second night I dealt with both incidents for hours until I finally reached out to the hotel staff On night two of the loudness, I reached out to the staff at close to 10pm The staff came upstairs directly to the room that was making the noise on night two, so I appreciated that Although while lessened, they just turned up the TV extremely loud watching a movie until after midnight I just tried to fall asleep and eventually did Needless to say, it wasn’t an enjoyable or peaceful trip I used to enjoy staying here pre-pandemic Not so much now They are constantly booked to capacity it seems and I understand why, it’s in close proximity to a lot of places and walkable But, I can’t recommend this hotel because of the noise factor alone Either the walls are extremely thin or this hotel attracts very rude people Either way, I won’t be back Two stars for the staff

The staff was so accommodating, exception of 1 during checkout, but she gets a pass given 99% of our stay was great! My house needed work and required us to live in a hotel way longer than anticipated We are a family of 5 with 2 dogs I asked for early check-in and they accommodated it

I asked to stay longer, and they accommodated it The staff would actually check their system and see what they could do for us It wasn’t just a blanket “hell no”, because of a rule I had an issue with my rate and manager called me and explained and he was extremely nice Again, not the stereo type that he’s ready to just tell me no or rude that I questioned it He was the opposite To have to live in a hotel with 5 people and 2 dogs during school season, 10 miles further from your home was a bit hard but I chose this hotel because right from the jump, they understood and fulfilled It’s rare that you find people who actually try to accommodate your needs and not assume you’re just another customer trying to ask for more Thank you to Rob, Craig, Israel, the nice cleaning ladies! You made my life easier that week!

This location is in need of an update & improved management The facilities are getting tired The room wasn’t as clean as it could be (dust on the air handler return, dirty ring in the bath tub)

No evening reception/food on Friday night No coffee in evening or early morning Shuttle wasn’t running for Saturday morning (early) departure) Front desk staff were friendly but not the most professional Not planning on returning to this location

Robert the Hotel Manager was the best! My wife and I got to the hotel a little early and Robert ensure that we were taken care of He gave us the best suite that was available at the time and it was awesome! We spent 4 days and 3 nights there and the breakfast was great The staff are really friendly and help you in every way possible

To top it all off: I left my suit bag with two suits in the closet and went home! I did not realize that I left them until one week after! My wife called Robert and he found my suits and mailed them to me – got them two days after my wife spoke to him! Now, that is what I called GREAT SERVICE!!! We left stuff at hotels before and called the next day and they could not find it The ParkAve Homewood Suites in Durham exceeded our expectations! Great stay!
