Extremely clean Highly recommend Room was spacious, had all amenities, and bedding/towels etc felt very new and good quality

Very comfortable stay Young man at front desk was friendly and welcoming Good, hot breakfast in the morning Arrived late (11pm) on a Sunday and the lounge had just closed, but I definitely would enjoyed a cocktail there had I been earlier

Morning shift employees were great and so was continental breakfast We had afternoon shift employees that did not know what they were doing When we checked in we were given complimentary drink and told that he could only give us one per stay which is ok

On the second day there we went for a drink and there were 2 free drink tickets which we never noticed as they were stuck together The young lady told us that it was actually one per day but wouldn’t let us use it even though we were told the wrong information It hot tub could also be updated as it was not very warm

Visiting from Canada, as soon as we approached the front desk we were warmly greeted The room was extremely clean and had no lingering smells Staff was accommodating and anything we needed from the main area we were welcomed to grab

The view from our room was nothing special and the wifi needs improvement, however when you go on a trip you don’t want to stay in your room too much anyways All the other amenities such as the pool and workout room were up to date and clean Good selection on the TV, and free breakfast in the morning was a bonus Thank you Americinn, I’d definitely stay again!

Too much humidity carpets were damp Late night desk person was pleasant and very helpful got in at almost 3am after a long drive

9 in the morning house keeping knocks on the door asking if we need anything We didn’t 1120am, housekeeping knocks again asking if we are leaving, so they can clean(mind you regular check out is noon, I have requested a late check outso whatever time I plan to leave we can both agree it’s not at 1120am) I said no we have a late checkoutwell what time? She saysLong story short we ended up packing up and leaving because this felt much less than welcoming I had a separate reservation the same day for 2 more nights that we canceled because we left early Life is trial and error, I’m aware nowKnow that just because my experience wasn’t great doesn’t mean yours will be less than satisfactory Happy travels

I’ve stayed at this property many times and had good experiences generally, this time was different The young lady that checked me in, maybe she was fairly new to the whole thing I don’t know, was just pleasant enough I don’t get hung up on rewards status but I wasn’t acknowledged as a Titanium Elite member, wasn’t offered an upgrade, and wasn’t asked if I wanted points or a market item

She just checked me in without a word, gave me my room keys, told me where the elevator was and that was itThere was no housekeeping at all while I was there so I can’t comment on it, but the ladies I ran into in the hallway were cheerful and smiling The breakfast, I’m sorry, the children’s food that was set out in the morning was the biggest disappointment I stay at a lot of hotels/chains and they ALL have returned to the standard hot serve yourself breakfast You guys gotta do better Oh, and stop blaming COVID for everything Your guests are over it If you’re short on helpjust be honest with uswe’ll understand

We had a very comfortable stay here; the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the room and bathroom were extremely clean There was a swimming pool and a gym and the staff was excellent Joseph was very accommodating, very sweet, always smiling and hard-working and was a delight to deal with

The hotel is 15 miles away from downtown Grand Forks but it’s nice and quiet We cycled 10 minutes into town but it would take about 20 minutes to walk Cute little town with some great bars!

Clean and quiet!Pool area is perfect to go for a dip and relax Some rooms have a hot tub near so making it easy for a nice relaxing soakThe breakfast was good and well stocked and was restocked while we ate

When we visited there were eggs, sausage, pancakes, assorted breads and bagels, spreads for the breads, assorted cereal, juice and coffee, and a couple other items like yogurtThe wifi ran very well while our stay, I was able to do some work online and also was able to stream in the eveningThe shower was well stocked with towels and shampoo/conditioner The water pressure was awesome and the shower head was higher making it easy for a taller person to shower comfortablyArea is right next to the mall and a few great dining options Also very close to large box storesRoom was clean and bed very comfortable and a lot of pillows that were very softAll in all it was a great stay!

The photos posted online don’t really do it justice I had a patio poolside room Granted, only used the hot tub once, but there’s a patio table with 4 chairs right outside the back door of the room that I utilized SEVERAL times during my stay

The AC was broken unfortunately, which is the only thing that affected what would have been a 5 star review However, management was great and handled the situation very well for me Dont get me wrong, it maintained about 72⁰ on average throughout my weekend stay, so it wasn’t unbearable, and they gave me a fan which helped alot Will definitely stay here again I should’ve taken photos- the poolside rooms are great A large pool and multiple hot tubs Had a great stay overall!

Staff was very helpful and friendly, this is the only motel I could sleep good in the bed and the pillows were great The big downfall was the pool and the hot tub I had little kids and the hot tub was literally a 4 person hot tub with no jets or bubbles

But the heat? Neither one was hot it was a mild warm Disappointed in that after driving aways to get here

Every detail of our stay here exceeded expectations We received a call from the front desk shortly after we checked in to make sure the room was satisfactory It was – clean and nicely appointed with a work area, lounge chair, microwave, refrigerator and, of course, TV

The beds were extremely comfortable, and the shower bordered on massage strength In addition to the regular fare, the continental breakfast included pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, and scrambled eggs Even the coffee was goodI will definitely stay here again when visiting Grand Forks!

We were visiting family in Grand Forks and stayed two nights at the Sleep Inn The location was super convenient for us to roam around town and go over to East Grand Forks too The staff was great, rooms were clean and quiet with very comfortable beds

We loved the walk-in shower instead of a tub – helpful for two ladies over 60 Breakfast was good, with plenty of options – usual fare, pancakes, biscuits/gravy, eggs, potatoes, cereal, etcOur only issue was when we came to check-in, the computers were offline or something and we waited about 30 minutes while the one person at the front tried to help another couple ahead of us to get checked in while talking to someone on the phone that was trying to help with the computer issueAfter a bit, she just gave them a key and sent them to their room and said she’d process their card later She did the same for us, which we appreciated, but we wished that had been the solution after 10 or 15 minutes and not 30 The front desk person was apologetic and very nice and we felt badly for her as the computer issue wasn’t her fault

We stay at this hotel every Time we stay in grand forks I usually rate this a 5 star, but unfortunately they were very under staffed This means the breakfast was nothing to brag about like it has been in past years

The pool was out of order, which they told us about after we had checked in, but go ahead to use the spa Well the spa jets were also not working So you got to sit in hot water to use it If you wanted towels, you had to go to front desk to get When I asked them about the rewards program that I had signed up for many years ago They did not know about any program that the hotel offered The rooms were still nice and clean as they usually are We were just a little surprised by the pool and hot tub not working, and breakfast was bare minimum Also coffee machine was out of order They also use to serve what they called a managers dinner during the week, well that was now only 1 evening and it was vegetable soupNext time we go out, we will be confirming if everything works We probably won’t stay here unless things improve for the next trip

We live in town, but we get a hotel for the weekend every year for my daughter’s birthday She picked this place out, as we’d never stayed here before I was concerned about the cheaper price point compared to other hotels

I was pleasantly surprised, it exceeded my expectations and then some Better setup and amenities than some others we’ve stayed at that were significantly more expensive Fantastic experience so far!

Montana D

Great staff and service But Allerus Center across street brings the loudest people who just want to partyFeel sorry for staff and people who want a quiet night’s sleep

Breakfast was buffet was terrible Soggy waffles and warm orange juice Nothing hot Again staff and employees were great

Pros:- Spacious rooms and layout of multiple rooms suites are very nice- Decent hot breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit- Social hour M-W was good with complimentary beer/wine and food

– 2 pools + 1 hot tub (although a bit dirty and lack of towels)Cons:- Lack of housekeeping (none provided on weekends even after requesting) Weekday ‘light touch’ does NOT include vacuuming We were emptying our own trashes, getting our own towels, vacuuming our room, making beds, etc Rooms could’ve been cleaner- Many maintenance issues with no maintenance staff onsite I was informed they have ONE maint person based in Fargo and have no control over when he shows up Many things were broken in our room- Hotel needs a refresh/remodel badly I would only stay here again once they undergo renovation which they are scheduled for 1-15 years out

Blood on the pillow and dirty sheets when we checked itWe stayed the night of June 19 after an outpost trip into Canada I wanted to splurge on a little bit nicer hotel, and I thought that this was going to be it

We checked in, got our luggage in the room My daughter turned down the bed and found blood on the pillow case The blood had soaked through to the pillow itself, so the location on the pillow matched the location on the case Pulling down the sheet showed what appeared to be makeup marks and other (?) stains on the sheets Note that this was on a bed which was fully made up Housekeeping failed to change the linens and apparently chose to simply re-make the bed with dirty sheets from a previous guestIt was late in the day, and I managed to bump into a housekeeper just as she was clocking out for the day I mentioned what happened and she told me that she could get me new linens for me to put on myself I went down to the front desk and complained, and they offered to put us in a new room At that point I didn’t trust a new room, and I wanted fresh sheets (how would we know that the new room didn’t also have just less-dirty sheets?) “Luckily” the housekeeper clocked back in and came to make up our roomI asked her if the hotel kept track of who cleans the rooms She said no I later found a card in the room that said “Rest Easy Our commitment to high levels of cleanliness…etc” It was signed by housekeeper XYZ who just happened to have the same name as the housekeeper who was re-making our roomI called the hotel shortly after returning home, and asked to speak to a manager I mentioned what had happened, and told him that I wanted feedback once he investigated I firmly believe that this was not an instance of housekeeping “overlooking” something No way Those sheets should have been changed and they were not They did refund my cost for my stay Great How do we all know that this won’t happen again? I made a second call this week, and spoke to a different manager She told me that she was going to check with the first manager and see what they did to ensure that this does not happen againI received no call back from managementLook what we have around us in the world today Covid and Monkeypox along with all of the “usual” communicable diseasesFor crying out loud Change the sheets between guests

As a ride share driver

I regularly serve the Fairfield Inn employees and guests Recently I had a very troubling experience at this hotelFront desk desk employee Zachary had been banned from my vehicle on a ride share platformbecause of his disregard for rides hare guidelines and policies Recently Zach hailed a ride from the Fairfield to another platform that I also drive for When Zach saw I was the driverhe made a false claim of threats to his safety to the platform This resulted in a temporary suspension of my driver privileges as well as a visit to me from local police False police reports are a crime I resolved the issue with the ride share platform as well as the local policeit too over an hour of my time however I called the front desk supervisor to inform him of his employees false claimand as of yethe has not informed me of any action against Zacharyhis employee My review is to inform potential customers that an employee of such low character will also handle the delicate personal info of yours such as phoneaddressand credit card info Since the front desk manager has not gotten back to meI plan on taking my complaint to higher levels of management at Fairfield Inn I have also suspended my service to this hotelresulting in longer waits for local ride share in Grand Forks for this hotels guests

Only gave 1 star because I couldn’t give zero Booked through hotelscom weeks ago and received a confirmation for a weekend stay at the Fairfield Grand Forks

Got notified the day before the stay that our reservation was cancelled by the hotel for no reason Hotelscom did what they could to make it right but Fairfield was unwilling to do anything Now we are stuck paying for a more expensive hotel room

Great pool and hot tubs tho one the jets didn’t work Warm temps!Breakfast was ok Limited options and no gluten free/dairy free alternatives

Ran out of hot food before everyone was finished on the SundayRooms are very clean and comfortable bedsGreat serviceAsked for a room between us and other guests as wasn’t busy but had a noisy room beside us tho almost all other rooms were emptyTalked to service desk and they graciously moved us the 2nd night

Brock Thomas

This place is miraculously clean with all the staff shortages in this type of industry The front desk staff is welcoming Only reason it didn’t get five stars is because the the pool is closed for maintenance

Which I seem to find a lot lately I don’t know if it’s cuz of covid or what Anyways, I got the king size jacuzzi suite it’s like 500 ft of hotel two separate rooms absolutely beautiful!!!

Brandy Young

Someone left the alarm set for 6am Half asleep trying to get it to stop That should probably be checked before next guest arrives

It just looks like a clock fastened to a table The bed was super comfortable No guide to see what’s on to watch that I could find so it was hard to pick anything out breakfast bar They have microwaveable sandwiches Wich was really good It would probably be helpful to know microwave them or unwrap them Less sparks No fresh fruit that I could see Chairs to table height Was uncomfortable More leaning over down proportional OffI would stay here again

Overall a well maintained property, but showing the need to upgrade some basics like carpeting soon The clerk at check-in was less than helpful, needing strong encouragement to change my room after advising him the TV in my first room didn’t have a signal regardless of input source He did finally get me a different room, but wasted a half-hour of my life after a long, 560 mile driving day

The open space for pets is large enough to let them run as well as go, and the breakfast was simple but reasonable

Peggy Raddatz

We loved everything about the hotel with exception to the pool It could use a decent cleaning Loved that they had a kiddo pool and little slide

The chemical was overwhelmingly strong We were in there for about an hour and had to leave our eyes burned, we were coughing and my grandsons skin rashed Other people as well experienced the same I dont feel these it is at safe levels All I got from the front desk was ya I know its way too strong Please fix and I would do 5 stars

The cleaning staff left the previous occupants’ old disgusting food in the room – 3 large styrofoam trays full! The hotel was at a very, very low occupancy the night I stayed I asked the front desk staff to place me away from other guests Instead, they placed noisy guests on all sides around me

Fan in bathroom seems broken, causing extra humidity in shower room This caused bacteria to grow on shower head and wall, and rust on some fixtures Cleaning staff were already knocking on doors and loudly yelling “housekeeping” at 7:45 AM, very rude and unprofessional

Instant Vapors

Stayed for the weekend after a long road trip here, definitely one of the best springfields I’ve stayed at Free breakfast & comfortable beds it was excellent throughout my whole stay Staff were very friendly and polite, always greeted me n made me feel right at home

Honestly it’s a great place The staff were all friendly and helpful The place was mostly clean and this time of year it’s important to me that there’s ample parking and a well taken care of parking lot especially with how much snow we’ve gotten this year

My complaint would be that there were definitely crumbs in our bedding when we checked into our room, there was toothpaste in the sink, and weren’t extra towels available for the pool At $350 for two nights I gotta say I was expecting a little more

Jake F

This is definitely not a 3 star hotel I don’t know how it can be categorized that way The rudest staff I have ever seen

There were people finishing their breakfast 5 minutes after 10 am, and the lady said “if you get spray in your food it’s your own fault” The halls and doors are disgusting (see photos) The rooms were not clean The office chair in out room was greasy and had crumbs in it The bathroom had hairs all over the floor and even on the counter If I learned one thing it is to search for outside info on the hotel When I pulled up I nearly crapped myself Look on google maps street view before you book There was a dirty plunger sitting In the hallway Gross, gross, rude, and gross is all I can say For the love of god, do not book at this place!

Barb Backstrom

Honest feedback – The rate we paid for one night was $336 I would not recommend this hotel to anyone This hotel should be an embarrassment to the Wyndham and Ramada brands! The first room they put us in had no door lock

The night security latch was totally missing, and the lock did not align so would not work We were moved to a second room The door locked, but the AC did not work The third room had working AC and a door that locked, but there were large water stains on the ceiling and the TV did not work Others in our group also said the TV in their room did not work The “courtesy” driver for the hotel dropped us at the Alerus Center and charged us $10 per person for a round trip for the 15 mile trip That would have been okay, but he demanded payment for round trip when he dropped us off, and he did not come back to pick us up We called for a ride, he said a couple were ahead of us, but he never showed up His name is Dennis He said he didn’t work for the hotel, but the people at the front desk said he did Staff in the lounge were rude

The best stay so far! The staff was welcoming and very accomodating Our family was given the last room, a handicap room Very roomy, clean and comfortable

A big restroom with bathroom fan Nice small pool and hot tub with no strong chlorine smell Buffet breakfast: Ham, scramble eggs, diced potatoes, waffles, banana nut muffins

The staff was incredibly friendly and the rate was very fair When I needed to call the front desk of this hotel, the number listed on Googke put me straight through to the hotel desk, this is a big deal! No automated answering services!! The hotel was clean, the restaurant was serving food until 3am! Breakfast spread was huge and lobby provided plenty of guest space to sit and eat I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a hotel in Grand Forks, ND

Oh, and the internet speed was fast and reliable Thank you again!

We needed a pet friendly hotel during a snow storm The room was good, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was as very good More importantly, I lost my credit card

When I returned and asked if someone had found it, the young lady on duty had secured it, and returned it to me I was pleased that I didn’t have to that I didn’t have to report it missing

There was a fire in my bathroom while I was at work and I lost all of my things to fire and smoke damage They did not offer any assistance except moving my room I called the Manager, Brad, and all he could do was put me in touch with the insurance agent, Steve

The insurance agent ignored my several calls and inquiries and said he was still investigating though the fire department was done and the repairs were completing at the hotel I researched and saw in the paper that they had a previous fire for electrical in this hotel and rodeway inn next store which they own This is a Choice hotel brand and not interested in the safety or losses of their guests I would not stay at ANY Choice hotel because of this lack of concern or responsibility!
