Stayed here today for a day use had a virtual meeting The front desk attendant was lovely and responsive Breakfast was also very nice

I tried to call and see if I could stay one more hour- I would have paid extra- however the attendant at the front did not let me get any more words out and was rather dismissive Would appreciate next time, if they could let me finish my sentence It was fine if it was a no and I am quite capable of I understanding that Otherwise, very nice and would stay there again Clean!!

Patrick A

You’re greeted upon entry by a wholesome fresh smell throughout the lobby and hallways nicely matching up to the modern aesthetic first impression visually And the room did not disappoint either Generous sized, spotlessly clean, airy with a well laid out bathroom and a practical kitchenette

I absolutely have no complaints about the service as the staff were all friendly and always willing to help Breakfast is okay

David Rahbany

Service makes the difference hereWhile 5 stars is a bit of a stretch when evaluating the quality of the rooms and food (really more like a 3-4 star hotel) the staff at this hotel are FIVE STARS They have all been very polite and helpful, giving me more than I expect at each and every turn

What a difference nice people make to an experience Bravo Marriott, keep these people on your team

This sprawling hotel / convention center is built for corporate gathering The space feels brand new and pristine complete with many conference halls, restaurant, and large bar/lounge room The rooms are modernly furnished with clean line furniture and very comfy beds

The bathroom are well lit with modern design The shower has very strong water pressure and good amenities Depending on the hours or traffic condition your are driving from Manhattan, it could take from 1 hour (normal traffic) to 2 hours (rush hours & highway accident) to get to this hotel’s location

Penelope Jungreis

My husband and I stayed at the Marriott Melville before and after our wedding at Westbury Manor and absolutely loved it Around 60 of our guests also stayed at the hotel and they kindly put the rooms together that we requested The rooms were super clean and well presented and the spacious executive suite was great for getting ready for my wedding! We also enjoyed having a farewell breakfast for our guests in the pretty atrium with lots of natural light

Friendly and helpful staff all throughout the weekend Highly recommend!

The staff here is amazing! They were so accommodating and gave us a wonderful room during our stay I believe it was Nicole and Erin that assisted us at the front desk and they were lovely! Our room was clean, spacious, and overlooked the Coliseum We stayed here for a concert at Jones Beach Amphitheater and it was conveniently located to the highway and not too far from the venue!

Bradley Tatro

Stayed here for a concert at Jones Beach Theater It’s also ideal if you’re going to the coliseum Easy to get to as it’s right off the highway Plenty of parking

Nice big lobby with a bar snack center and seating available Check in was easy and the staff was friendly and attentive Our room was clean and quiet It also has event/meeting rooms Very good experience and will definitely stay here again

Justice M

What can I say, the lobby was updated and pleasant At the bar you’d have to fight to get a drink and get a bartender to even acknowledge you, but that’s not the bad part When I entered my room it was an “upgraded” room

The audacity for them to call that an updated room it looked like a hotel from the 90s and not in a good way Stained carpet and an odor During my stay I couldn’t in the room, I was way too uncomfortable, come to find out there was an outbreak in my hotel room Do yourself a favor, bring a beach chair and a blanket you’d be better off Their beds are infested with bugs that you’ll bring home I’m quite sure they didn’t change my sheets before I arrived and I took them home Never again

If you’re a history nerd, you will enjoy Oheka If you love architecture you will enjoy it as well The garden and ambience at night are quite enjoyable

The grounds are quiet and moonlit It’s full or classic art if you know your eras and enjoy classic paintings I would recommend the library nearby the dining hall and going during autumn Overall the kitchen was very well If you choose correctly on the menu They have gluten free bread and the wait staff is amazing My waitress made dining very enjoyable because she was so warm friendly and professional I appreciated that Note worthy would be the musician in the dining hall who was a violinist and would read the room to create a flow for the dinner He was impressive and lovely I would advise looking around as much as possible to breathe in the true history of the castle If staying on vacation, huntington village is nearby and also the gold coast

Ronald “Ron”

We were at the Castle for a catered benefit event Featured excellent quality food and service The grounds and location are beautiful, and I’d recommend Oheka Castle to anyone who needs a superb venue for your wedding or other special occasion

The restaurant and bar are open to the public as well I just can’t comment about the rooms

utube3009

We weren’t able to get tickets to tour Oheka Castle so we decided to go for Sunday brunch The castle & grounds were beautiful, the brunch not so much I ordered steak (medium) & eggs

For some reason they couldn’t get the steak right First it was well, then it was rare but in addition, the steak itself was too tough to even cut I gave up & didn’t eat it (nor did they offer to comp it)The restaurant patio was beautiful & so were the gardens that were surrounded by a golf course I’d recommend the castle & gardens but not the restaurant

This was a beautiful hotel! Google maps said it would take longer to get to the train station, but it’s literally across the street This made going into New York City very easy The rooms were HUGE and very clean! The hand towels had the garden city logo on them and the robes were unbelievably comfortable

The beds were great to sleep in My wife made friends with a few of the housekeeping ladies After a full day of traveling to get here, then waking up early to go to the city, we were in dire need of water The housekeepers were super nice and gave us quite a few bottles!! It went a long way in terms of serviceMy cousin had his rehearsal dinner at this hotel I have to say all the food was delicious My wife is a Mac and cheese connoisseur, and she said the Mac and cheese at their pasta bar was in her top 3 EVER The desserts that were served were just as good I’m not sure if I’ll ever have a reason to do an event at this hotel, but it is one that I will remember foreverMany of the women on my cousin’s side of the family decided to get their hair and makeup done together at the salon in the hotel They all had a ton of fun and looked beautiful! My mom and wife could not stop raving about how good everyone did Everyone working here was very professional and clearly very good in their field

Jeff Clark

The staff is wonderful, capped off by Anthony (Tony) at the front desk The common areas are wonderfully clean, with staff walking the space throughout the day We were in the pool and witnessed a staff member walk the gym and pool area, then minutes later another staff member came down to mop some shoe prints on the pool deck

Great team work was evident throughout our stay, and housekeeping was attentive, remembered that we had children with us, and quietly knocked as to not disturb them well deserving of our tip! Don’t forget to tip, the team deserves it

Plushee One

I liked it but

Beautiful historic hotel that could use a freshening Lobby, spa, restaurants are lovely, the staff is welcoming (especially Gary at the front desk and our bellhop Luis) but the rooms are faded (and we stayed in the penthouse) Small updates would make all the difference, like table lamps with outlets in them and lighter color schemes This place ain’t cheap and they can do better

The staff here is great I helped my friends check in late Saturday night and there were at least a few people working the front lobby Natasha at reception was especially helpful, giving us all the information we needed

Check in was quick and painless (wish all places were like this) The room’s interior was classy and we were able to settle in without issue Thanks for the hospitality!

Sujil Maharjan

The rooms were okay Besides the bed, everything is an add-on even if you are in “The king suite” or the bridal suite was mediocre for the price

I only stayed here because the wedding venue next door provided these rooms for freeOne thing I was most annoyed of was their breakfast When we checked in, the front staff specifically said breakfast until 10:30 am I get there at 10:15 They had taken everything out and there was nothing to eat Apparently its only for the weekend They could have provided right information Hi had to leave hungry in the morning The rooms were mehh I’ve stayed at much better places for the price it was advertised in

RiggsYour LifeAway

I will never go there again Was in area for work and just needed to stay one night The room was out dated and just smelled old

There was a bug in my room and they had wires hanging (pictures) Was not comfortable sleep at all and I was charged extra $100 dollars on my bill Who really cares about anything else (service, food, etc) didn’t even try any of that if you have to sleep in dirty smelling room with bugs and wires all over why stay Don’t stay staying away!

Honestly a beautiful experience! The rooms are vacation worthy!!!! I always need to talk about their beds as well & I say just perfect!! Marriott also has a full breakfast that is included with your room!!! Very delicious!! The employees here are helpful & pleasant This hotel is also surrounded by plenty of stores & restaurants I really don’t feel like checking out today but all good things must end lol!!!!!!

Raquel Prescott

Although the hotel is brand new and clean, the management team is not the most organized They can do better with their payment processes and how they communicate them to customers, especially if purchased through 3rd party companies like bookingcom

I’ve stayed at this location twice and enjoyed the convenience of the hotel’s location and cleanliness But unfortunately, due to a lack of organization and poor communication skills, I am choosing to no longer return to this hotel when I am in New York

Maria Recalde

The night staff was very professional but in the morning during our check out I let the front lady know one of the towels looked like it was full of blood, and she looked at the picture and said NOTHING, I’m not sure if she treated us differently because we used our free night but we have been using lots of Marriott hotels for years all over the US Im sure she can see that I almost used that towel with our baby thinking it was new like the rest of the towels We just wanted a simple apology to make ourselves feel better after almost using it with out baby

Breakfast, pool, gym and the room were really nice

My first point of contact was Jessica in sales She worked with me on the menu and making sure we stayed within our budget She is quick to respond to questions and extremely accommodating!Antonella and Kenia from food and beverage service ran our corporate BBQ event and they are the most amazing team! They were extremely helpful and went above and beyond! This venue is a great place to stay and to host an event

Truly a wonderful experience

This hotel is very nice! Comfortable and clean room, floors are well kept, and the grounds are very decorative Minor issues with my stay: bathroom sink handle was loose, new parking charge implemented (complimentary when I had made the reservation), and some communication issues I called prior to the reservation and was told breakfast was buffet style, then during check in I learned it was made to order and a separate charge

I must have missed something but this along with the new parking charge had me stressed out the night of check in Fortunately the daily parking charge was removed during check out with receipt of my email reservation

1) very strong smoke smell when I just opened the door But The room actually is non smoking room!2) duplicate charge for pet fee Called them asking for refund and they never pay me back!We booked 2 rooms for 2nights on November 2021

The policy says each pet is $25 per night We only have one dog stayed in one room so it’s $50, but they changed me extra $25 for no reason So I eventually paid $75 for pet fee I didn’t realized that until I saw the credit card statement Called them and the person said they can refund me on the credit card Now it is 7 months after, no one contact me and no refund to my accountThe nonsmoking room has super strong smoke smell and when I stepped in the window is opened ac is on fan is on It literally just like someone just smoked In the room one minute ago and left Front desk lady changed the room for me with no problem But I think it should not happened like this if it is NON SMOKING ROOM

Joyce Venezia Suss

This hotel is updated, beds are clean and comfortable, and front desk people are friendly BUT if you are handed a key to a ground floor room, REFUSE IT Our room had an overflowing humidifier and smelled musty, and our window faced the outdoor pool, with no privacy

Our children’s room across the hall was dark, blocked by shrubs next to the parking lot The pool crew was using a loud power washer on the deck while I was trying to rest before a wedding The front desk receptionist offered to try to get me a new room, but it was almost time to get ready so I refused Lesson to share: AVOID THE GROUND FLOOR ROOMS!

For our daughter’s wedding, our guests stayed at the Viana We held our daughter’s wedding-after-party at the Viana and had a fabulously, fresh breakfast the following morning We worked with Erin to help plan the many details that were needed

She was extremely responsive to our emails and able to add her experience to the many questions we had to make the evening run smoothly The staff was very friendly and helpful The bartenders were great-friendly and accommodating All of our guests were very happy!

Bri Barbieri

I just had my room block here for my wedding last weekend and everything was perfect from beginning to end Erin was so sweet and made the process so easy I had to add on additional rooms after my first block was filled and there was no problem at all

The night of the wedding, the shuttle transported people back and forth in a timely and safe manner We even had a little after party at the bar and everyone was so kind and friendly All our guests said the rooms were nice and clean and we enjoyed our honeymoon suite–they decorated with rose petals and had a bottle of champagne on ice with us and chocolate covered strawberries! I wouldn’t have changed a single thing 🙂 thank you Erin and team!

The property is beautiful and well maintained Rooms are clean My stay was on a weekend, didn’t get a chance to sample breakfast

You don’t get room service unless requested and had to ask for towels twiceLocation had quick access to LIE, but is a little off the beaten pathOverall lovely stay would definitely recommend if looking for kitchenette for your stay

Nelson Campbell

Beautiful hotel nice spacious rooms majority of the staff is pleasant and helpful, rooms kept clean , and the hotel is always quiet but be aware of the egotistical manager Travis who has no compassion and consideration of a miss understanding that could have been cleared in 2 seconds, but when certain people are put in a position of Power then they power trip A miss understanding of my kids charging ice cream to my room and my card not being billed because I had to cancel my cards because I lost my wallet resulted in Travis kicking me and my 5 year old daughter out and his exact words were “Things happen good luck”

Good luck to him Karma always comes back

I had the privilege of staying at this hotel for a long period of time and I have been blown away with how amazing my stay has been I have stayed at a lot of different Hiltons across the United States, and by far this hotel goes above and beyond with their customer service The girls at the front desk are so courteous, kind, and go out of their way to ensure any accommodation or request has been filled

The cleaning staff is very thorough, efficient, and quick to ensure that the rooms are made to exceed expectations The bar and dining staff are also so pleasant, and really give guests a great experience with great food and drinks This very well-managed Hotel also has great amenities that are always very well kept If you are in the Long Island or the Westbury area I highly recommend staying at this hotel as you will have a very enriching stay and experience

I understand this is NYC Metro and we’re still in COVID mode but this property is worn and needs cleaning/updating/maintenance Front desk was friendly and helpful, room was spacious, HVAC worked well, had fridge, desk, bed and pillows were clean and comfy, etcProperty is just worn out

Stains everywhere on carpet, chairs, sofa, etc Hair on floor of tile bath and kitchenette area, so I can only imagine how many were on the carpet Hotel is just beat up Only one K cup of regular coffee in room, no hand lotion, elevator lobby tons of wear and damage Will definitely stay at another Hilton location if on Long Island again Just doesn’t seem to be on par of other Hilton properties

Booked this hotel via a 3rd party booking service, and there was a glitch in the app so when we got to the hotel, the rates were different because it was a weekend Spoke to the front desk attendant about the issue, and while very courteous, they could only lower our rate by $20 that evening based on their rates, which was $100 over our initial booking rate Since we were from out of state and celebrating our Anniversary, we decided to stay, as we wanted to begin our night of relaxing and quality time

That weekend, there happened to be a big wedding hosted at the hotel, so we ended up across the hall from rowdy guests Not the hotels fault Staff was very attentive and professional The room was really great Beautiful decor and very clean We easily got to the train station 5 minutes away and were in Times Square in 40 minutes The following day, we toured New Rochelle, which was nice, a lot of hand painted murals to see, and a diversity of food choices Nice weekend get away

The noise from band is horrible I like to have a good time too and chose this hotel due to its proximity to I 95 Traveling and needed sleep

This you do not get here If I had known it was going to be this noisy, I would not have stayed If you are looking for a nice place to rest while traveling, this is not the place to stop You would be better off sleeping in your car

Large rooms, convenient location, clean Pet friendly for a pretty stiff fee ($75 per stay) Breakfast decent for a free hotel breakfast

Staff was super nice My only complaints are the shower head is awful Water is very hard And the carpets in the pet friendly rooms are always dampish Not great to walk on All in all, good place to stay and I’ll stay again

I stayed there for almost 2 months for two years in a row They should have welcomed me as regular guest but instead of that they showed me very much attitude Staff was very unprofessional

I always used to even tip them to clean my room but my room was never cleaned properly Also one day they randomly told me that I have to leave the hotel for playing loud music in my room They could have gave me warning but instead of that they asked me to leave!! I’ll never forget this horrible experience I had to face, staff was racist, rude & unprofessional I’m a Hampton inn regular customer but the location in garden city is the worse one, they really need to work on the hotel staff, I wasn’t living there for FREE!!!!!!

Nicholas Millington

The front desk staff was unprofessional and unfriendly My room was not cleaned for 3 days Apparently at this hotel you have to affirmatively request for your room to be cleaned no less than 24 hours in advance

First time domestically or internationally I’ve seen a hotel implement this type of policy There was a frigid draft coming into my hotel room from below the AC/heat unit I ended up booking and using a different hotel for the remainder of my stay Much better experience and only 5 minutes away
