Simply put, the Virginian is a premiere location to stay in the heart of downtown Service is impeccable with attention to detail and convenience always They consistently had excellent valets that could retrieve your vehicle promptly

Some of the minor details are an abundance of umbrellas in case you ever need one, they have one The rooms are beautifully detailed with exquisite tiling in the bathroom They provide an amazing robe that is super soft on the inside and you just want to snuggle up inWhen you stay there they have two restaurants that are musts Skyline is a bar at the top of the hotel with some amazing views Cocktails are well made but be careful if you’re going off the menuWilliam and Henry is in the bottom of the hotel and is an excellent steakhouse Great service, white tablecloth, and pricey menu; but worth it if that’s what you’re in the mood forThe location of the hotel is perfect for walking distance to all the great restaurants and bars in the revitalized downtown area We had a great time and we’ll definitely be back

From the friendly faces greeting you as you get out of you car to the helpful staff at the desk to the superb housekeeping service, our entire experience at this hotel was phenomenal The fit and finish of everything shows attention to detail to every aspect of your stay The restaurant on the rooftop seemed nice, but we were not able to experience it for reasons that had nothing to do with the hotel or restaurant

The deli/coffee shop in the lobby was great Overall, my family and I had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay Anytime we will be in this area, we will likely return to this hotel

rlfleming3

At first glance this place is beautiful! Nice elegant and historic I actually had a nice stay However, there were somethings that just stuck out that seemed odd

The first night I ate at the rooftop bar Skyline The service was nice and polite but my steak was over cooked but still eatable Lastly as I was eating the glass pane on a small propane fireplace next to our table, exploded causing glass to break and go everywhere After the first day the visit went better The hotel has multiple areas to eat A steakhouse, rooftop bar and a breakfast area The room was always cleaned by the time I returned from my daily activities It is fairly close to the downtown area but the walk is all up hill on the return Overall I had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel

Stayed here for couple of nights while in the Lynchburg area The hotel staff was great when checking in The room was MUCH less than what I expected for a Marriott property

The room seemed like it has been updated at some point since it had a more modern flair of decorations The chair and ottoman were VERY worn discolored Looks like they hadn’t been cleaned in quite a while I felt contaminated after sitting on the ottoman for 2 minutes to put on my shoes Peeling paint in the bathroom Corners of the shower and shower door had black mold and mildew The doors leading to a very small balcony looked like 72 kids had put their hand all over it after eating PBJ sandwiches The bed was cheap and hard, almost like a dorm room mattressI have stayed at Holiday Inns that were better kept than this Marriott These issues didn’t happen overnight, so this hotel has been going down for quite some time to get in this condition I almost ALWAYS stay at Marriott properties, but save your money and get something else in Lynchburg, you are not getting the normal Marriott at this one!

Beautiful views of the mountainsSuper clean roomExceptionally professional, polite and kind staff

Both times I have stayed here, the staff went out of their way to make us comfortableCoffee in rooms was also very delicious

Brian Grillo

We did experience a challenge with our reservation where we were allowed 5 guests in a room that could only accommodate 4 guests The front desk manager was empathetic and worked with us to find a solution In the end, due to her focus on the customer experience, we had an enjoyable stay at the property

Her efforts were very much appreciated by our family

This place is clean, clean, clean! The room is on the smaller side, but they have thought of absolutely everything

comfortable bed with super soft, high thread count sheets, a writing desk with a useful book of nearby amenities, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and a table for two where you can enjoy the complimentary water and snacks There are also a couple of nice, shared outside seating areas

Katina Livingston

It was a cozy room, they thought of all the extras! Very, very, very clean! The staff was kind, considerate and helpful It felt like a bed and breakfast The Inn has parking in front of your door, the parking lot is not huge but ample space for a large pickup truck or van

My name is Reverend Marlon Smith I was scheduled to minister at a local church in the Lynchburg VA area for four Sundays in the month of June, 2022 This hotel became my home away from home The staff were like family as they knew my name with a personal feel and great professionalism

The hotel itself was clean and quiet I don’t usually do reviews because I don’t like ratings anyone or businesses However, this place was absolutely the best and deserving of five stars

Tim Harris

We recently stayed at this property I was well pleased with the staff and condition of our rooms and the facility We asked for adjoining rooms on the first floor and the staff delivered as promised

The breakfast area was clean and had a good selection of items to choose fromI also liked the properties location It was on the edge of the city and was within a 5 minute drive to several restaurants I would happily stay at this property again

We stay at many different Hilton’s and we’ve stayed at this one a handful of times We love it here Rooms are cozy and we love the separate kitchenette and living area

It’s very clean and quiet and staff is great!! Especially Harriet that works during breakfast and keeps everything rolling smoothly She’s delightful, friendly and professional And we LOVE that this hotel has different flavored creamers Most don’t and for people that love flavored coffee this is a must Thank you so much for numerous great stays

Sherri Halcovich

Just a stopover for rest on a long drive to our destination, but fit our needs perfectly Staff were friendly and room was very clean! Room was spacious and quiet and the bed was comfy Pet-friendly and the pool was great for our son

Breakfast offered hot and cold options to grab and go or sit and eat Walking distance to many restaurants Safe neighborhood

Nathan Wilson

As a person that travels constantly for work I’ve stayed in MANY Hilton brand hotels This is by far my favorite one Staff was out of the way friendly and helpful

The cook was amazing Not only extremely friendly but the man knew his way around the kitchen! Most hotel breakfasts are meh… same thing day in and out He finds a way to switch it up and make things not taste like something from the frozen isle at the store Dinner service was always excellent Normally they do the dinner and beer/wine one night a week however while staying there during a snow storm they fed us 3 nights in a row plus the normal night Everything in the town was closed from the storm so this was very much appreciated I guess I just appreciated finding a business that still believes in great customer service

My husband and I absolutely had our dream wedding at Winridge Manor!! The venue, manor and gardens looked incredibly dreamy, especially when lit up by the twinkle lights at night The staff were incredibly friendly and Racine, the coordinator, made our day run so smoothly! She was so in tune with all of our needs and vendors and went out of her way to make our experience smooth and perfect She made sure to pull our families aside so they were in right there for all of our special moments

The venue photographed perfectly and their team of vendors is top-notch! We are so impressed with the level of service and professionalism we received and would recommend Winridge to anyone!

Lynn Cowell

Winridge was a wonderful place for our daughter’s wedding Racine was so helpful! We experienced a thunderstorm just prior to the ceremony Racine along with Something Blue made all the changes so the wedding was still seamless and a beautiful evening

The rooms are comfy with comfortable beds, linens and pillows The best part of our stay were the scrumptious breakfasts each morning!

Rhonda Richardson

My daughter had her wedding at Winridge Manor on June 24, 2022 From start to finish Racine, her family, and staff provided over and above service in every way Their professionalism and attention to detail are remarkable and it is all provided with a friendly sincerity that is truly charming

You could not select a better venue for a wedding Thank you Racine for everything you did to make Teddy’s wedding day perfect

Very nice, the room was clean and the security all around was very good Location is excellent with easy access to all points of interest The staff does a great job keeping the place very clean

Price was very reasonable with a hot breakfast buffet Would highly recommend this as a good place to stay Kid friendly as well as pet friendly Overall very positive!

Victoria Piunti

The hotel is very nice The service desk was wonderful I booked it on line, and everything went smooth when we got to the hotel

For the price we have a decent sized room The bathroom was very small But the curve shower curtain rod helped a lot when you were taking a shower It felt bigger because of it than it actually was That is my only complaint Lots of well lit parking, the lobby was clean, our room (429) is clean The carpet in one area is a little frayed, but I truly don’t care about the carpet I would recommend it to family and friends!

Keith S

They want to call me when I am headed there at 12 am asking if we were still coming because if not they want to cancel the room

My check out was 12 pm the room had been paid for already That room is good until 12 pm check out Plus the room is none refundable so why did you even bother cancel saying y’all wanted to cancel very unprofessional did not feel welcomed

Booked our stay for a quick overnight to see my daughter on her bday But then a snow/ice storm came and we weren’t sure about the roads Katie at the front desk was amazing when I called and the morning I was to leave for Sweet Briar I called her again and she had road conditions readily available for me

Once we arrived the lobby was welcoming and our room was clean and gorgeous No coffee makers but fresh coffee in the lobby and my sweet hubs brought it to me He really enjoyed the sitting area upstairs where he had quiet time allowing me to sleep in Oh and the 11am check out was nice too as most are 10am Everyone was so nice and I’m looking forward to coming back over the next 3 years that my kid is there for school

Jill Tucker

I was not pleased with our last visit I have stayed at the Inn four times, as my daughter is a student Each and every time, we have requested and stayed in F4, due to the view and location on upper floor

We booked our rooms in July for the October Family Weekend We requested F4 and called, four times between July and October to verify, even calling the morning of arrival, since our travel time is usually 12 hours, including connection in Charlotte We even went to the front desk at move in (we stayed in F4) day and asked, face to face if they had F4 reserved for us They said yes My fear, because they are so very disorganized, was that they would give the room away because we were a late check-in Guess what? They gave the room away Poor kid at front desk apologized profusely He said that it was noted in the computer, but no one actually held the room I was angry I asked to speak to his manager Anne got on the phone and basically gave me a tough luckwe will try to do better next time She asked me to stop by the front desk when she was in and we would come to an agreement I told her that it was her mistake and that I was not going to be paying for our room, but would pay for the others When I spoke to Ann on Monday morning, she was rude, condescending and indignant She insisted that I had never stayed in 4F, ever, said all rooms are exactly the same and that I had made reservations online That was true Often, I call and no one answers the phone, so we are forced to make room reservations online We then call and verify that they received the reservation and request F4 She called me a liar! She insisted that the front desk is always staffed, which other reviews have said is untrue, because it is She kept insisting that all rooms are the same, which is not accurate and not thinking like a customer They do not run this property like a business All rooms have a bed (or two), a toilet, a tv and a shower Each have very different views and accessibility Our room was the last one, at the guard station, with the noise of traffic We were also put on the lower level in which we were unable to keep our window/sliding door open at night, and people were walking in front of the window and I had no privacy Further, when I asked to speak to Ann’s boss as I was getting very angry that she called me a liar, she called security and her boss, just to demean me For Christ’s sake, my child is a student here and you think I’m threatening? I will NEVER go back My husband is a Platinum Marriott member and I would rather drive 30 minutes from Lynchburg than be treated like a criminal when it was their mistake Further, Anne’s manager had a hard time understanding how their reservation system worked Terrible customer service As usual, the only shining star in all of this was the cleaning staff Three ladies that had been on staff for decades The night we checked in, my 81 year a MIL was rushed by ambulance to the emergency room in Lynchburg and spent the night These women asked about her everyday and cleaned a room which she had gotten very ill in This is the last time she will ever be able able to take this trip with us, due to poor health and the room assignment was so important to us Anne didn’t even ask abou my MIL The guard staff was great, too Waiting with us until the ambulance arrived When I explained to Anne that this whole situation had been really stressful and that my MIL was hospitalized overnight her reply was, “Yes It was low blood pressure and had nothing to do with the room” How very kind of her Stay in Lynchburg You will be treated much better and you will have to drive back and forth anyway BTW, they comped the room after about 45 minutes of arguing with me and my telling them that they had to take ownership for their mistake or I would do a charge back I would hate to see their handling of something complicated, like a wedding

My significant other and I spent the past Saturday and Sunday nights at House of Lydia B&B The beautiful building was impressive, with Venetian plaster ceilings and arched doorways (And the neighborhood has other gems to see if you take a walk around

) We stayed in the 1 Corinthians room, with my significant other loving the air jet bath And while I’m not very tall, I could readily see someone who typically struggles with standard-height shower heads appreciating (if not loving) the rain showerOwner and host Bonnie was fantastic She went out of her way to accommodate our breakfast and lodging needs and wants (Please be sure to tell her not just of any food allergies but also of any strong food preferences so that you can thoroughly enjoy breakfast) She makes it a point to use organic ingredients, and there’s plenty to eat (I had so much to eat during the first breakfast that I skipped my lunch and almost could have skipped dinner) It’s obvious that Bonnie cares a lot about her guestsThere’s so much more that I could write, but I hope that this gives you a good idea Get your reservation in; you won’t be disappointed

Tammy Faulkner

What an amazing lady and B&B You may arrive as a stranger but you will most definitely will leave as a friend Miss Bonnie is the kindest person I have ever met

When your hostess prays for your safety you know you have stayed in the right place Her home is beautiful You will sleep so peaceful If you’re looking for a place to stay look no further

Joanna Wedding

The House of Lydia was a pleasure to stay at! Bonnie, the proprietor, is very kind and welcoming The exterior of the house could use some work (similar to many houses in the area), yet the interior is very quaint, elaborate, and thoughtfully decorated Breakfast in the morning was the highlight, prepared by Bonnie with love and wonderfully presented! We were touched by her witness of faith, and we would love to visit again someday

The Sleep Inn has a real gem in their employee Faith at the front desk She truly went the extra mile to help us with the lighting concerns we had in our room, and not only fixed the broken bulb in the wall sconce herself, but said that if the lighting was still not to our satisfaction, she could move us to a different room that might be more suitable Faith was so friendly and professional, and extremely helpful

She made what would have been an ordinary hotel visit memorably nice!

Bonny Steele

First, let me say that the employees are five star The hotel itself, however, did not meet our expectations We were supposed to say three nights and left after the 1st night

I probably would have left immediately but we had gotten in it 1:00 am My issues with the room were first and foremost It had a terrible smell Also, there wasn’t any lights by the bedside and there was only one outlet on one side of the bed where we needed outlets on both sides of bed The bathroom is extremely small and difficult to find the light switch To top it all off after getting in so late Housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:25 this morning to see if we needed towels Although to this I will say we had forgotten to put the do not disturb sign on the door One last thing to note is apparently they cannot change the credit card from the card that you use to reserve the room with

Elissa Jarvis

This hotel was actually much nicer than expected We were greeted with a smile by a staff member, who went above and beyond to help us through the door with our luggage and answer all our questions The room was also very clean and comfortable

I could tell that the hotel is well-managed We would definitely stay here a second time

What a charming hotel The staff are all super sweet and friendly The hotel is gorgeous, very industrial chic They did an amazing restoration of a historic building and it shows

Beds are at the level of a 5 stay luxury hotel, maybe even better The free breakfast was the cherry on top, and they bring it to your room every morning Doesn’t get better than that Keep it up team!!!!! Can’t wait to return!

Tony Guzman

The location had a great theme The staff were very helpful, and the room was nice but not sure it was worth the money that was paid because of issues with the toilet running all nice and flushing itself, lack of microwave, bad electrical desk outlet and the constant sound of train and whistles There might be better locations

The reason it’s a 4-star was because of the employees It should be considered

LuAnn Hunt

This hotel is definitely worth all 5 stars! This was the second time my husband and I spent the night there for a “staycation” and we were not disappointed The bed was super comfortable and everything you needed in the bath was provided Our continental breakfast was just right and was waiting at our door when we got up

We’ll definitely plan on staying again in the future

I’ve stayed at this hotel for work going on 2 years and honestly cannot understand where these bad reviews are coming from There are a couple of the staff who are not as talkative but all are nice and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need I’ve never encountered a dirty room

Of course with the covid outbreak there is no standard breakfast option but that is understandable Sometimes on weekends it can be louder than during the week but quiets down by eleven My advice is to not give too much credence to the negative reviews

Samantha Jarzynka

NOT family friendly NOT comforting at all! DO NOT LET YOUR FAMILY STAY HERE! we have adjoining rooms and it’s still not enough room for 5 people Mattresses were dirty and so high off the ground it’s hazardous to children And you get to choose what bright light to look at at night, the parking lot or the hallway! Absolutely ridiculous, even with covering the windows and door frames these lights illuminated our rooms! The shower pressure was so low I could barely wash my hair, and the shower heads were heavily spackled and looks like recent poor handyman work(literally sticking from the wall)

Phones are only for show, and when I called the front desk from the bookingcom(same as on the phones) number it gives me a Verizon voicemail message Paper toilet paper, mini toilet mini everything “Micro” indeed

Kaylea Grillo

The only reason I’m giving it a 2 is because of how nice the room was However the employees (other than the young lady on 2nd shift) was rude as heck! When we checked in we told them we had 2 pets a dog and a cat

the next day our TV wasn’t working so they sent someone up to our room to check it out She seemed as if my dog was going to attack her He was on his leash and he’s the most loving dog you could ever meet Anyways, when she left the room the front desk called me and proceeded to tell me they don’t allow cats I told them we had a cat AND their website says pet friendly it doesn’t specifiy just dogs thankfully they let us stay the remainder of our stay But we had to cancel the other reservation we had made to stay with them Then on the day we were leaving I saw a black bug crawling in one of the pillow cases I called the front desk to tell them about it and they sent 2 people to my room The one lady then asked me *rudely* if I could bring the pillow case out to them because “she’s not going in there with THAT DOG” once again the most loving dog ever on a leash! (Don’t work at a pet friendly hotel if you don’t like pets?) So I took the pillow case out to her and somehow the bug was gone She just kept saying it wouldn’t have been a bed bug and I kept telling her I didn’t think it was but there still shouldn’t have been a bug in our pillow case so yeah Fun times!

While I may point out some less than stellar items about my stay make no mistake that my experience and the suites were top notch for the price point Some may find some of the downsides to be important, or not First

exceptionally clean and well maintained hotel with helpful, cheerful and efficient staff Suites are thoughtfully designed with lots of room, large bath area, large desk and a level of privacy between the sitting area and the bed area The small wet bar area with sink, refrigerator, microwave and shelves to store things was wonderful Lots of lighting was also great It is across from the regional airport and our suite was on the back side of hotel and I only heard a couple of bigger jets take off during the 3 days we were there The room is sound proofed much better than many hotels I have stayed in Pets were allowed during my stay with a $7500 fee and are supposed to be under 20lbs but I saw much larger dogs there Breakfast had number of hot selections with many items being prepackaged There was also cold selections of cereal, yogurt, milk, fruit and hard boiled eggsNoted downsides; pillows and linens are worn and have lost their fluffiness, mattress is mostly firm, no pet waste stations, no place to throw away large trash (entrance trash cans are tiny), hotel is yards away from busy and noisy 29N, when items at breakfast were gone they were not refilled promptly even though there was an attendant monitoring (seemed to be rationing portions), swimming pool is mostly a jokeabout as large as an oversized spa and when more then 4 people in itit is overloaded Too bad during our stay a traveling youth baseball team took over the entire pool area to include the area around excluding any other guests from use Next thing I saw was a drained pool Do not stay for the pool and if you are there and get to use pool consider yourself lucky

Other than check in I had very little interaction with the staff here As for my stay? Very pleased You could tell by the room and public space/exterior, great pride is shown by the housekeeping and maintenance associates

Not sure when the property was last updated but if you told me 6 months ago I’d believe you Didn’t partake in the complimentary breakfast but the free coffee hit the spot and didn’t disappoint I could tell the GM/owner of this Marriott cares about providing a good product If your travels take you to Lynchburg inquire here first!

Room smelled like smoke when I checked in Found beads in the floor and also found a Nerf bullet in the closet So I don’t think the room had been vacuumed

No top sheet just the comforter Could not take a bath due to the bathtub would not hold water You would have to put something over the drain if you wanted to use the tub Free breakfast eggs cold and biscuits were cold and hard Ice and drink machines were on the ground floor

I visited Lynchburg, VA with my 6- year old daughter She was excited about staying at the hotel because she loved the way it looked, she said it was “fancy” Little did we know, our room wasn’t so “fancy”

When we walked down the hall, the smell was unpleasant It smelled like cigarette smoke As soon as we walked in our room, the smell was even stronger, even though it was a non-smoking room The bed looked like someone just pulled the covers back on the bed without changing anything There was something sitting in the toilet and the toilet would not work The lamps were not working I appreciate the lady that accommodated us and let us move to another room, but I do not want to deal with that as soon as I get to my hotel after a long day We still enjoyed our short stay because we were able to go swimming, but it still was not the best experience

Rachel Ritchie

Pool is open for reservations, which is really nice Staff was very kind/helpful when we were there Lobby is gorgeous

Rooms were okay Nothing special, but seemed clean Breakfast was served as safely as possible and with hand sanitizer and disposable gloves provided and food taken back to your room We had two small issues They were not super helpful on the phone when we called to make reservations and the beds didn’t have top sheets I know it’s a cleanliness issue and I meant to ask the front desk about it but the phone in the room didn’t seem to be connected and we were exhausted

I was extremely disappointed with the room Holiday Inn Express is usually my favorite place to stay Unfortortunately, this was one of the worst places I’ve been in

The bed was clearly not freshly made I pulled back the sheets and found several hairs There were two under the pillow It’s very obvious when someone has made a bed and when someone just pulls the blankets back There was a large stain on the carpet in front of the bed The carpets are very outdated I can live with that but not a stain the big I called the front desk and got a young girl She tried to help but was flustered The phone sounded like someone hung up but you could still hear her talking I got a complete set of blankets and sheets to re-make the bed I had just unpacked and had too much to move The toilet barely flushed The breakfast was empty at 7:45 The girl serving was very nice The kitchen help just seemed irritated I normally enjoy my breakfast because they have raisins, nuts, and brown sugar to put in the oatmeal This breakfast was extremely limited There were people smoking directly outside the main entrance There is normally a designated area but the staff smokes too so, I guess it was more convenient for them The manager was nice He did what he could I think customer service needs serious addressing in this building I won’t stay here again

For the past 20 years when I travel to Lynchburg I’d stay here It has progressively declined over the past two decades I’m surprised they are still able to keep the franchise

If you get an even numbered room you will listen to the highway right out your window all nightAll hotels declined during corona for cleanliness but this one really has The floors are not vacuumed, food under the furnitureThis place used to be pretty nice but I’m not staying here again It’s just gone too far down

Theresa Cushman

First let me say that all of the staff that we encountered were wonderful The hotel is a different story, a little old There’s mold in the bathroom shower

The toilet had permanent rust, or some other stain The carpet is stained too Not the quality that I would expect for a Holiday Inn Express And they didn’t even do the room service unless you requested it If you stay more than one night you have to make your own bed Not good I know you could ask for it but it should just be a given Same thing with the towels I had to get them myself Doesn’t seem like a real nice hotel stay, when you have to do all those things yourself

Let me start by saying I am a Hilton rewards member, and by far this was my worst experience by far We arrived in town early, we called to ask about early check-in, and told, “we have 130 checkouts and are not doing any early check-ins” which was surprising So we killed 3 hours

Then the room had a broken toilet, ran all night, flushed if you fiddled with it and a broken microwave The hotel no longer offers free breakfast The front desk staff said, ” we have a restaurant so breakfast is no longer free, but we do a pretty good job” Well for $7-$10 I would hope they did an excellent job But it was just as it would be if it were a free breakfast but now your charged on top of the booking $200 room feeIn conclusion I will never book a Hilton garden again It was a sub par experience dressed up in a bad renovation to be a decent hotel The front desk staff did not even stand to greet you when you check in And the amenities are all poorly wrapped under performing was to think your getting a top rated stay Go to the Tru, it’s a better experience

So, first of all, we reserved this hotel room through Hilton via phone a couple of weeks before our visit We got a confirmation stating our total was $550 We arrive to check in and we’re told it’s going to be over $600

When we stated the price was different than our reservation the receptionist asked if it was reserved through 3rd party (it was not, we reserved through Hilton on the phone) She stated it was for “fees” but could not explain why, and at this point we had been traveling all day, so we reluctantly paid She told us that she’d throw in some “free” breakfast coupons So we check out the pool on the way to our room, and it is tiny and super cloudy, totally disgusting, with a sign stating “spa closed” We stayed for 3 nights and did not see housekeeping a single time The wallpaper in the bathroom of our room was beginning to peel off of the walls and there was some strange unidentifiable stain on the carpet We arrived for the breakfast each morning around 8 am and everything was either picked through already or you had to pay more money to get a plate Oh and then the morning manager told us that the continental breakfast was free anyways so the “free” breakfast coupons they give you are a joke Even coffee was practically nonexistent despite having 5 canisters at the bar My boyfriend drank decaf because there was nothing else and another woman had asked for coffee and it never came To top it off we asked for a couple of towels on our last night and we were told that the kids staying for the tournament had used up all the towels throughout the day We asked if they could bring us some once they had some clean ones, never got a call Instead we were awoken to a fire alarm at 845 am with no explanation Don’t waste your money I’ve literally stayed at red roof inns nicer than this Hilton

Michael Wood

The hotel is conveniently located The rooms are nice The staff is very friendly and welcoming

The breakfast experience is terrible There are not enough tables for guests to sit at $7 for a “continental breakfast” including cereal, yogurt and muffins $9 for eggs, potatoes and sausage on a sterno (if they refill – 2 out of 3 were empty when I went)The coffee in the lobby is completely awful The 3 of us who stayed completely agreed that it was the worst excuse for coffee that we had ever tried Not a Starbucks fan, but thankfully there are 2 of those nearbyWhen I stayed, there was 1 person working to serve breakfast and clean tables There were ~40 people eating or trying to eat breakfast at the same time, and the 1 employee could not keep up I saw this for 3 consecutive mornings, so this was not a 1 off eventSince there was only 1 person, and breakfast service was so slow, there were no open tables to sit and eatColleagues stayed at a Fairfield Inn nearby and all had good experiences Next time I will avoid Hilton

Perfect location to Liberty University Fantastic hotel, very clean and great customer service I had a quiet and comfortable stay

As a platinum member, it would have been nice to have complimentary water bottles, but, I purchased a bottle This is a nice courtesy that would not be very expensive to do Otherwise, everything was awesome I appreciate that I was given my room preference and was able to use my suite night I like the Keurig maker in the room that I used to make coffee

Jessica Lawson

Rachel went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable Our first room had a slight A/C issue (it was a super hot weekend) so Rachel went and checked other available rooms to find one that wouldn’t cook us I also realised I didn’t have everything I needed in my toiletry case, Rachel came to the rescue again by finding what I needed behind the front desk

Absolute superstar!! Really helped make our stay wonderfulAs for the hotel itself, I have stayed in a Residence Inn before and loved it so knew what to expect We stayed in the king studio which was plenty of space for the 2 of us and a pup The rooms and bathrooms are modern and clean I enjoy a marshmallowy bed so that’s a hit for me, too Breakfast was simple and straightforward – coffee, juices, eggs, sausage, biscuits (all fresh) and then an assortment of packaged bread, muffins and bagelsThe hotel is directly next to a mall so plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance A great stay all round!

Penny McPherson

Staff is super friendlyThere is a large patio area near the small pool with plenty of seating Tables with umbrellas for shade

There was variety for breakfast items to heat yourself Plus oatmeal fruit and more My husband thought breakfast was just OK He wanted a waffle maker I was happy they had fresh, not prepackaged, cinnamon raisin bagelsVery clean, ample parking and ready to cook, stocked, kitchensAsk for a room on the 5th floor facing the mountains You will catch sunsets
