They’re not a lot of hotel rooms in St Peter Minnesota, but this AmericInn location is a great place if you need an overnight stay while in St Peter The staff was super friendly and super helpful They have a large open area in the front entrance which also serves as a lounge and space where breakfast is served in the morning

The indoor pool was larger than expected and was in greatl condition The rooms were clean and felt like they had been updated in the not too distant past The only reason I didn’t give five stars for the room is the bed could have used a new mattress My wife and I kept getting sucked to the middle of the bed because of the divot there However, everything was clean and tidy, the climate control worked perfectly It’s a great location Would definitely stay here again the next time we need an overnight accommodation in St Peter One piece of advice: as Saint Peter is a college town, and is relatively close to mankato, which is also a college town On weekends with a large family draw, like Parents Weekend, Graduation, etc rooms are going to be hard to come by Plan ahead! This location was sold out on the Friday night that we stayed there I was thankful that we had made our reservations months in advance

One of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed in You have a restroom that has a toilet and sink Then a separate bathing room with a large, deep free standing jacuzzi tub with a shower wand and a separate shower with 2 heads

This also has a sink and heater The bedroom is beautiful with a comfortable bed The three rooms are oversized and opens to a shared balcony outside or a shared parlor inside I could live here!

Nicole Silker

We booked all of the rooms for our wedding weekend and had a great time! Some of our close family stayed with us and we absolutely loved the style/comfort of it! We spent a lot of time in the common area visiting and relaxing after busy days rehearsing and decorating The management was very friendly and accommodating They truly put our comfort above all else!

Came in at dinner, no reservation Was happily greeted and taken care of Beautiful setting

Not a chain hotel of many box roomsUnique, comfy and spacious I’m was so lucky to be here during their non season Otherwise I probably would not have a roomLovely restaurant/bar downstairs Obviously a local favorite It was packed on a Wednesday night Almost started to hum the song from CheersLoved it

Not a good experience at all Owners are arrogant, rude If you want a place to come to relax, look elsewhere unless you Caucasian

In a society where equality matters, you’d think the owners wouldn’t discriminate against people of color, but they do Personally heard the wife talking bad about campers on site to an entire group of other campers Keep it classy lady, keep it classy

You know when you get that perfect looking watermelon then you open it and it is just flavorless and mushy…that’s this place Outside is decent, lobby looks nice…

then you get into your room and your hit with the flavorless mushOur room still had mascara from the previous guest on the bathroom counter Fridge didn’t work and smelled bad Shower wasn’t as clean as it could be It was just VERY DATED Looks like they tried to freshen up the bathroom by throwing a single layer of paint on the wall Along with many other things that were minor but should be replaced especially for the price a night paidNow, with all that being said it worked for us The bed was fairly comfortable, AC worked well and so did out toilet We didn’t eat any of the breakfast but it did look like there were more options on the weekend vs a week day Luckily we were visiting family so we didn’t need to spend much time at this hotel other than sleeping

Leticia Serna

First and foremost I have always wanted to stay here It looks so beautiful from the outside Walking in to the lobby Its a bit deceiving its sooo clean and smells so good

Got into our room And our toilet didn’t flush No big deal lift the tank top right? Ok… there’s scuff marks and dirt on the walls For 140 bucks you would think they could repaint or clean but I guess not… Our room has two beds a living room and kitchen My room smells like wood cleaner which is not pleasant for a pregnant woman Carpets are real dirty I’m legit surprised this room cost so damn much for such a dirty place Kinda bogus

Tim Hagstrom

Has an air bnb feel, not a cookie cutter chain hotel at all Our room was large , like a suite with a fold out sleepable couch area and a kitchenette Understaffed at the time, like many other businesses

We stayed on a busy weekend, prices were a bit higher than we normally would pay for lodging, but that was the case all over Mankato that weekend We had a full breakfast but front desk clerk said that the weekday breakfast is more of a continental style Staff was very kind and helpful , even being very busy Location is excellent There was a tv in the bedroom and another one in the area with the couch Swimming pool had not been operative since Covid

It Do Be Ori

The hotel is great Except when the pool and hot tub is full Plus the usual toddlers in the hot tub, splashing around and literally jumping in like it’s a pool

The rooms are a bit small, too Wouldn’t recommend for claustrophobic people The breakfast every morning is good though I’d prefer it to go to at least 10:30 for people who like to sleep in a little This wasn’t my best weekend here, so I don’t have much of a say without sounding personal

Jennifer Corrow

Love my holiday inns typically

this time I feel like I got overcharged I know it was busy and was grateful for getting the last roombut 100 bucks + over the maximum rate posted on the back of the door definitely felt ripped off If there had been someone at the front desk, I would have brought this up Hopefully this never happens again

We stayed for a couple nights while moving The pricing was good and location was very convenient However, although everything was stocked and seemed relatively clean, we found blood on the bed skirt and a pillow

This made us wonder what was actually clean The switch on one of the lamps was pretty much shot, so it took a couple tries each time to turn it on/off The hot tub also seemed a little dirty as the water was tinted yellow slightly, but that might have been the lighting Our room cards also became deactivated in the middle of our stay, but the staff was helpful and fixed it right away And although we didn’t expect much of a view, our window on the first floor faced the even center, so it was just a wall outside the window The breakfast was also convenient and there seemed to be plenty of options Unfortunately, the beds weren’t too comfy and the pillows were pretty flat and hard, but we understand that when buying for places like this, you buy in bulk and try to get the best prices, so sometimes it’s not the best quality That’s understandable

Jeremy Aufderheide

The accommodations are pretty standard It’s clean but unremarkable The location is great

The channel line-up on the TV is not I’ve stayed a few times before while visiting my family and this time I noticed how good the front desk staff was My key card deactivated (probably because I had it in my pocket with my cell phone) and the woman behind the counter remembered which room I was inshe had been there when I checked in a day earlier but didn’t wait on me And every other person I encountered was cheerful, friendly and helpful Even if the hotel is just a normal hotel, the staff brings it to another level

Meghan Pettis

Doesn’t look the best when you pull up but excellent on the inside! Room, pool and lobby were clean Great, friendly service plus plenty of food and supplies for breakfast Walking distance from fast food and sit down restaurants

Great pool area for hanging out 5 minutes from Rosa Parks if you’re in Mankato for a baseball tournament

Personally, I never really had a good experience here and would not come back to this hotel First of all the workers at the front desk were very very rude specifically the front desk manager named Angie I requested to switch rooms so my older children could be closer to me but she told me she couldn’t switch rooms and when I asked for a refund they told me that I would still have to pay for the room

On top of that the rooms weren’t very good The room had a really strong smell especially in the bathroom like dirty rags The beds weren’t uncomfortable and the shower was very dirty and had a mold around the edges The only good thing was the breakfast

Virginia Lazzu

I will never in my life stay in this or any Fairfield ever! If I could give it zero I would The staff are rude and management is non existent I left a $300 book in my room for school and they did nothing but give attitude and act like they knew nothing on how to look for it and could not locate it

I then am told I have to pay to have it shipped to me They never shipped it and took my card information 10 days later It is still not shipped I call and get the same rude girl and same attitude NEVER IN MY LIFE WILL I EVER STAY IN THESE HOTELS AGAIN

Corey Partin

The staff at the desk were always very nice and helpful, however the management team is extremely rude My company booked a month-long stay for me and I needed my cat to stay with I was never told that they have a “strict” no pet policy (it’s written at the very bottom of the site and on a tiny sign in the corner of the entry)

On the receipt it even said a pet fee had been waived However, one week into my stay two managers came to my room and very rudely said, “either the cat goes or you relocate” They weren’t willing to listen to my case and treated me like a trouble maker They also expected me to react immediately, which was incredibly hard to doOn top of that they also charged me $1800 for the stay instead of my company, a headache I’m still dealing withThis hotel also allows children to run screaming and yelling up and down the halls and for large groups of people to literally tailgate in the parking lot with booming bass at 11pm Their cleaners enter your room even if you ask them not to and they slam doors at all hours of the morning as they cleanOverall the desk staff were great but the rest of my stay was awful I’m leaving early and they’re losing over $1000 of my company’s money I can understand some misunderstandings, but the treatment and experience I had here guarantees I’ll never stay again

I have been to a lot of hotels and by far this is one of best We didn’t need a pool or breakfast in the morning, so that didn’t matter to us The staff was so friendly and helpful

Melissa at the front was amazing! The room was clean, and beds comfortable We were able to check in early as well There was a bad storm and we didn’t have anywhere to go Hardwood floors in the rooms, and everything was perfect I will definitely be staying here again when we are in town

Tawyna Wagner

I read all the reviews for this place and it wasn’t at all what you typically hear of a Motel 6, and we would be staying here the first night of a two week road trip after driving for 15+ hours No regrets! This place is super clean, super comfortable, and exceeded all my expectations Very simple accommodations but I slept so well that we decided to also spend the last night of the trip here and booked another room

I got the two best nights of sleep during the whole trip here Also, Mankato is a pretty cool town! Definitely would go back

Beccah and Dillin Jensen

This was a wonderful basic little motel! It had everything you needed, no frills, and the staff was incredible!! They clean daily so everything during our week long stay was nice and tidy and clean, they had a mini fridge and microwave for our use It is a motel so if you need a hairdryer or shampoo you gotta ask, and no breakfast, but honestly we didn’t really need that! It was lovely and clean!

Staff was very friendly That is about it The hallways needed vacuuming, the hotel was supposed to be smoke free but smelled of smoke in the hallways

Doors didn’t need the electronic key, and our room door was broken and didn’t lock when it was shut Didn’t realize this until the second day, and the cleaning staff got it fixed right away The breakfast was not very good at all I had to wait a long time for the front desk person to show up and check me in/out They need a bell at the front desk so they know someone is waiting Good location, just needs a major revamp! Won’t go back because it wasn’t that cheap and it wasn’t great or even so-so

John S

Now a Quality Inn – definitely a misnomer First room to which a key was given had beds and mattresses propped against the wall waiting for remodeling Back to the check in desk

Next room assigned, desk attendant went along (in bare feet – it was around 10:00 PM) to open the door Light switch by the door didn’t turn on a light, so had to walk into a dark room to turn on a lamp The room was very cold, so had to turn on the heat Went out for a quick bite to eat and upon return, looked around the room Chair was worn and bathroom floor had tiles uneven with what look like mold in between There was toilet paper in the toilet that should have been flushed away Decided not to stay at this sub par place so found a room at another nearby place that was much more acceptable The hotel manager was not available that night or the following day A request by phone the day after for credit card charges to be reversed was rudely refused on the grounds that the room had been occupied Does walking into the room and viewing it and finding it totally unacceptable constitute occupancy? An attempt to have the charges dropped will be made through the credit card issuer

David Holscher

We only stayed here one night, and we will not be back The beds were OK, but it went downhill from there The room was not well cleaned, we found hair all over the bathroom

The continental breakfast was absolutely awful They had the normal hotel spread of eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, toast/bagels, and cereal I did eat a bagel, but both of us could not bring ourselves to eat anything else, as the waffles, eggs, and sausage were all disgusting The hotel staff didn’t seem to agree with us though, as they were just sitting around eating from the spread

The room was spacious and quiet with a comfortable bed and awesome pillows The wall mounted, in-shower shampoo and body wash was a nice touch, and I loved the “master switch” that powered all the lights upon arriving and leaving There was no complimentary breakfast, and the coffee bar in the lobby didn’t open until 7am, which is about two hours late for us early risers

Overall, I’d stay here again

Rachael Meuwissen

The staff here are friendly and welcoming The hotel common areas are clean, as well as the rooms There is a 24 hour fitness room, Guest laundry, pool with whirlpool that’s open from 6 to 11

Adults only for first and last hour There is an on-site bar and bistro Food served until 9 and cocktails until 10 The bistro is also open for breakfast for a fee No free breakfast here You can also purchase Starbucks coffee There is a very nice outdoor courtyard with a fire pit, not open year round Possibly my new favorite Mankato hotel

Dave S

The room was dirty and there was something left on the curtains The shower drained so slowly that there was standing water before it was even warmed up I complained to the front desk and none of these problems were resolved before I left

Also the second floor elevator down button had to be pressed several times before it would register the push
