I stay at many Choice Hotels This one is a mixed bag The good: convenient location, nice bed, a/c was working well and the bath sink and counter are newer

The bad: The shower needs serious cleaning – dark stains on the caulking and in the grout (nasty) Also – the showerhead is old and duct taped, and the tube connecting it to the faucet is really old This is supposed to be an ADA-compliant room but the showerhead is positioned way too high for someone in a wheelchair I suggest management go take a look The carpet is old and torn

don olson

Carpet wasnt vacumed, air conditioner rattled all night, milk and other food was gone at 9am, garbage cans were full All i can say if this is the new normal for $200 a night, i will sleep in the car or drove home the 2 hour I DO NOT RECOMMEND

And if your going to respond to this post, dont respond with the copy and paste BS that is on the othe bad reviews, fix the problem

What a wonderful stay!My boyfriend booked our room to stay the night Valentine’s Day, In one of their suites The room was absolutely beautiful! Amenities in the room were awesome And the best part was the AMAZING staff set up our room with rose petals leading to the bed that spelt out I love you on it! I HIGHLY recommend staying here! 10 out of 5 stars

We stayed in room 225 with a water view and it was amazing! I was not expecting a room with a balcony, a kitchenette and dining room seating from this hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised The rooms were moderately loud but not any louder than any other hotel room We also came for a wedding which may have brought a rowdier crowd than usual

The rooms were clean, the staff was helpful and the breakfast was great I loved that they had options to go like packets of peanut butter, yogurt, granola bars and fruit! If we come back to the area we will definitely stay again

One of my favorite AmericInn’s in the UP The rooms are clean and comfy, the pool area is fantastic and roomy and the staff is always super friendly I always feel like I’m at home there!Just remember to wear shoes when you go to the pool

Their choice of flooring is a little tough on the feet!!!

Very clean and bathroom facility and warm showers Each camping space has a fire ring, picnic table, and cemented parking area The lawn is extremely well maintained

It is right next to river and there is a cute lighthouse and beach not far away Also a little fishing dock You can’t go wrong with this place Also, pretty much no mosquitoes here which was awesome

We have a 38 foot fifth wheel and a hauler This is our stopping point every year when we travel to the UP

The park is very nice, quiet, and well kept The restrooms are very nice and clean Within the park the roads are hard surface The park is easily accessible to the highway and best of all we can see the Navy ships that are being built at the shipyard across the river You would not make a mistake staying here

The campground is nice, most sites have some shade It is on the river, and sometimes it gets quite windy, so keep that in mind The highway is also right next to you, so there is that constant noise, but it’s not extremely terrible

It’s conveniently located near a grocery store, laundromat, hardware store, fast food, and more All within walking distance Bathrooms and showers were nice and always clean Campground feels safe and secure, with a security camera at the gateWe stayed for a month, we asked to extend our reservation but they told us no because they “didn’t have room” But there were plenty of spaces available when we left, and every time we drove by there was plenty of space (I’m originally from the area, and we now live in Menominee, we needed somewhere to stay a bit longer until we finalized on our house) Luckily they had plenty of spaces at a campground outside of town

We were looking for somewhere to stay between Chicago and Pictured Rocks on our drive and this was perfect Some of the reviews had me wondering if it was a quality place to stay but we tried it out and it was great Very clean, friendly staff, breakfast was great (cereal, yogurt, waffles, eggs, sausage etc

) and the rooms were spacious and clean The only reason I gave it four instead of five stars is I think they need to update the AC units It kept us very cool but was very noisy Otherwise everything else was great!

william “Wild Bill” wieck

room was nice sized and clean only issues were the jetted tub drain would not seal so kept draining water and would not stay full and other issue is being a person with 1 leg the parking lot was all snow and ice, it was plowed but not salted so it was slippery every where the subway right next door connected to same parking area was all clean and salted in front of that business the staff was very nice and friendly

Mark Young

Extremely nice and responsive staff, all three that I encountered, quickly replenishing continental breakfast items, eagerly taking my reservation and when I forgot items in my room, they neatly put them aside with my name and even laundered personal towel that I left in the room and had it waiting for me when I picked up my cell phone charger many hours after checking out

Arrived to find my reservation for the room was allready booked After that mess was cleared up I was given a room That room had blood stains all over the carpet

1 very large blood stain the size of a paper plate next to the bed No smoke detectors in the room Only good thing about this place was the nice older gentleman behind the counter

Bryan M

We were on our way to UP and needed a place to stay on our way there Called that morning and everyone in the area was booked Luckily the Budget Inn had two rooms available, a queen and two twins

We got the Queen The owner (I believe he was the owner) was very nice on the phone and in person I was not expecting much when I pulled into the parking lot but what I did get was a very clean room at a get price It is notable that the price I was quoted over the phone included taxes which I was not expecting The rooms are small but as mentioned, very clean Everything down to the bath/shower was excellent Even the caulking was clean – experience has taught me that this is an overlooked area for most hotels The bed was comfy and the room was nice but small as mentioned It is obvious that the owners take pride in their motel

Mike M

Was passing through town and needed a place and i prefer local over chain so i stopped here The staff were friendly and all interactions included smiles My room was very comfy and the bathroom was modern and clean

I even opted to stay a second night to avoid riding in some bad weather It looks small from the street but its actually much larger I will stay here again on my next visit Dont just drove past stop here and stay!!

The room was great Very clean, neat, kept in good shape Newly updated

We had a 1st floor king room Bed was very comfortable Bathroom was in great condition No knicks, clean paint, new trim Meaning not worn outAnnoyance: Bell goes off every time someone goes in/out a door starting at 7am and can be heard in roomAlso: why the heck should I be charged a separate line item for a “safe” in the room I don’t even use it

Berseker Mayan

Let’s be honest No one really *wants* to stay at an Econolodge I don’t mean this as an insult, but realistically I think we can all agree we’d rather be staying somewhere else

Anywho, at this price point, my main concerns are safety and cleanliness In that respect, Econolodge exceeded my expectations My room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and I had no issues Plus its across the street from the police department Breakfast is very basic – more functional than enjoyable
