Staff was real friendly and helpful Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast Eggs, waffles, fruit, cereal etc Enjoyed eating breakfast and our stay Doors and parts of the hotel are in need of a upgrade and repair Pool arera was nice Met new friendly folks Hot tub was hot but not working Pool was semi dirty Water level was low and skimmers were not working well Pool needs some minor repair Stay was Enjoyed Prices seem fair Parking can be limited in busy season Plenty of restaurants near by

Room was clean The girl who checked us in was very nice The one who relived her didn’t seem too interested in helping anyone

Breakfast was cold and missing milk but the attendant was polite She had a really cute apron The man who checked us out was also very nice, really our only negative was the lady who was likely night audit

Kevin O’Brien

Even though there were some low rating comments

we took a chance as it was a Hampton THE rooms are still great but the friendly staff more than made up for any minor flaw The breakfast was great and while most hotels are nickle and diming for everything, like another that charged $4 for a simple plastic comb, THIS Hampton still provides complimentary toiletries and the desk rep even threw in a snack for our daughter I wish i got his name to mention him here He was great

Worst hotel experience ever Check in staff not friendly, could not find my reservation until I showed info confirming it Stairs and hallway walls dirty, looked like not cleaned in years

Dirty sock and bugs on floor Bugs crawled out of pillowcase, when we checked mattress pad found disgusting brown stains We were so uncomfortable, we drove 3 1/2 hours to get home, rather than spend the night in this hotel They have a pool, but no chairs or tables, grass in cement areas

Patty Bellard

I usually don’t give a bad review but this motel was the worst the dirtiest the bugs It was unbelievable words just cannot describe it ! the worst night I believe of my life When you don’t have a lot of money and you want to take a vacation everything is planned to the detail And for this establishment to be in the shape it was in It’s just unbelievable

It makes me wonder About Marshall Texas, Do they have a city Inspectors or code enforcement Team, And if they do; what were they thinking!?? I never felt more unsafe There Was hair that wasn’t mine everywhere,t on the sheets sheets there’s a great big black bug that crawled out of the vent in the bathroomI t’s just undescribable And there’s no cancelations I was told that I could cancel but I would not receive my money back to go somewhere else I also told the gentleman when I checked out that I would give this review I’m not looking to get my money back or a free room rental I just want these people to understand that when you’re limited funds And you stay with their company

Beautiful scenery, polished interior in the tasting room, clean facilities and excellent service We even got great recommendations about wineries to visit on our next stop, we are doing a roadtripIf I would improve on one thing (which is also the reason for the one-star deduction) is to cool the dry white wines on the flights

The ones we had came from the counter and weren’t cooled Which does the great wines a disservice Would visit again anyway!

Zack Sharp

Love this place! They have a number of really good wines, and they take their business seriously As far as fine dining in East Texas, this is some of the best you can get We joined the wine club and really enjoy the quarterly pairing events – so much so that we drive in from Dallas

Highly recommend a trip out to the country for this one!

Carla Schneider

My first time visiting but it will not be my last! Beyond expectations! From the moment driving in to the beautiful scenery to the driving out it was a blessing to cherish The staff were amazing! The food was James Beard Award worthy! If you are lucky enough to be in the area to visit I more than highly recommend I only wish was that I could give them a 10 star rating! Oh and the Merlot was 3 bottles delicious down and delicious 🥰

I loved this place the first week Owners were nice and the park is quietHowever, I went out of town for 3 days and came back

The minute I get back, JR accuses my kids of playing in his laundry room and breaking a toilet roll off the wall My kids only went in to shower with my supervision and checking in, but we hadn’t been there for 3 days! Then, that same night, Wanda comes UP TO MY PATIO to complain about my dogs, who had been outside 15 minutes while I was unpacking She said they were too loud for my neighbor who slept during the day Even though they weren’t barking until her and jr parked next door, near my patio, to talk to the neighbor The neighbor that sleeps during the day wasn’t even home I had already talked to those neighbors and they never complained to me I told Wanda my dogs are always quiet and she said she knew But still came up SUPER rude telling me , “this isn’t going to work” Then she waves at me days later like she wasn’t just rude and they hadn’t been avoiding me every sinceWe looked at the toilet paper rack, it is one that you just pop of the wall, and it wasn’t even fixedWould not recommend unless you are good with being buddies with the owners and don’t have kids or pets I would have talked to them, but they are avoiding me, so hopefully this review will get their attention

The park is pretty well-kept Two things that keep the park from being at or near the level of the best Being near the water was a big deciding factor

This park is across the street from the river I was told I would be in a spot on the water but I was approximately 50 yards from the water It could be that the park manager’s idea of being on the water is just different than mine The second thing that needs improvement is that there is no wifi It’s super super easy to add Wi-Fi for the guests There’s no additional expense on their part to do so But they could also easily allow a guest to access Wi-Fi for a fee The claim of waterfront isn’t easy to fix but the Wi-Fi is a 5-minute fix Nice park nonetheless

Nested right next to Caddo Bayou this small RV park is a great escape from regular city living The camp was clean and well spaced out with water and electric hookups The managers are very friendly and helpful

They have a bathroom, washer and dryer inside a small building at the back of the complex There is also a small dumpster to ensure a tidy campsite It’s also only a few miles from a state park! The food selection is limited in the area but the park provides a fire pit area as well as grills conveniently located on each camp site There’s even benches at each spot There also appears to be covered RV parking spots as well The gravel road is a bit hidden but easily found with a right at the RV Park sign They even have a pool if you come during the summer months!! The mosquitoes are a bit much if you are unprepared for them down south/Louisiana since the bayou is right there However a few candles and spray should be good to keep you walking on the trails nearby Also for those interested it seems like you can take a boat straight from here to the Shreveport area!! Seems like a large majority of people stay for an extended time so it’s also fairly quiet during the day as wellWould highly recommend staying here! Thank you again!!

I booked a room at this Best Western for my family traveling from Alabama to California and it was booked in a pinch since they were very delayed and we’re only able to stay at their prior reservation in Shreveport for 4 hours

Mark at the front desk on the phone was so kind and understanding and professional and very accommodating Wonderful customer service!!!My family checked out this morning and shared with me that the hotel was very clean there was no smells there was no bugs the room itself was very clean and comfortable No mold in the bathroomThe indicated the beds were a little bit firm but that is subjectiveHighly recommend this Best Western!!!

Danah P.

MARK Mark at the front desk was fantastic! We were riding motorcycles through town, we were tired, and no one had a room Best Western had a room

Mark set us up! Why were there no rooms in Marshall, TX? No WATER in Marshall, TX Mark checked us in super friendly and fast so we could grab a shower in case the water stopped flowing to the hotels! We got creative for dinner (no places to eat) Mark set us up with plates, condiments, napkins, cups, and was just happy to help us on our adventure! Beds are comfy, microwave works (lol), quiet room, obviously 5 star staff, and water was HOT and working even in a town with no water!! Now that is awesome!!!

Nadia Pervez

Clean motel with updated rooms $25 pet fee for dogs (did not see a weight limit listed)Our first room smelled like cigarette smoke (apparently due to proximity to the smoking rooms) so they moved us to a room on the other side of the property which was fine

Breakfast included hot and cold items (make your own waffles, eggs, cereal, yogurt etc)

Me and my family stayed there for one night, and i have to say we all loved the hotel, it smells really nice The room i got was amazing i liked how clean it was and all the little details on the restroom, nice shampoo, lotion, soap! The bed and pillows were great! Breakfast was good and the kitchen lady was really nice! Really good service! Definitely Texas has the nicest people! Recommend 100% !!!

Julie Shaw

We have been here for about 2 weeks Everyone who works here has been very nice and friendly The staff go above and beyond to make sure your stay is comfortable

The reason I rated the hotel at 3 stars is due to a couple of issues First, the breakfast changed while we were here, and it wasn’t a positive change The new food choices need to go Bring back the make it yourself waffles The new ones are way too sweet The other items aren’t great either Don’t try and fix something that isn’t brokenThe other reason for the lack of stars is that the pool has been closedOther than those issues, the rooms are clean and comfortable You won’t find a better team of employees anywhere else Overall, it has been very nice here

Cristie

Just needs to be cleaned up, inside and out 3 night stay, first night pretty noisy I20 truck traffic, asked to move to backside, didn’t happed, ball got dropped Tall sign “Fairfield” was dark, that mixed with construction made it hard to find

One morning no breakfast served, Saturday Might make it tough for those counting on this in meal budget while traveling

Stayed here for one night in Dec, 2021 in a 30′ Class C motorhome All gravel, site unlevel Bathhouse was clean but “rustic” with shower stalls on the small side (bigger than in the RV)

I thought that it would be quiet since it was well off the interstate but was I wrong Nothing the owners can do but the road noise was substantial Appreciate that they could accommodate us on short notice

Angel and Melisa (4EverHoneymooning)

We were looking for a quiet place to spend one night while running from the snow and Laguna Vista turned out to be the right place It isn’t fancy and has very basic amenities, but definitely is a good spot to stop for a night or twoThe owner was incredibly friendly and helpful (which is important to us)

The sites were fairly level gravel spots and the utilities worked great It is winter so most of the area was brown, but I think in the summer the surrounding trees and pond would look very nice The laundry room was very clean and inexpensiveThe price with Passport America was incredibly affordable and makes it a good value Not a resort, but still a nice little park to rest (even though it was off a busier road, it was nice and quiet)The town of Marshall is only about 15 minutes away and has most services you would need

Darhla Roberts

This is a very simple RV campground The management was very relaxed and we came in late but he had it all arranged for us via our phones It was very quiet during the night

There is a nice laundry room which we did not use There are two men and two women’s restrooms off the laundromat with clean showers and toilet It is very accessible right off the main road

Staff in evening and morning polite and attentive Room had nice plank flooring and was all one should expect for the price Very clean, no flaws noted

Volume on TV in room 215 was a little off, but it was still ok for an hour of TV Coffee was actually good and had good creamers available I would agree with the lady several reviews back, best Motel 6 I have ever stayed in!

Juli Reedus

the hotel is good, clean, however a black employee does not do her job well, I have been in the hotel for three weeks, and every time I renew the payment for the week she is rude and does not renew the key, and every time I come back when she does He gets angry and has a bad attitude She doesn’t do her job well, she should be fired, she’s clueless and pushy

Melinda Blue

I stayed twice during a 2 week period due to my job The first clerk was nice and courteous Room was clean

Microwave and small fridge Good tv reception My second visit was just last night The clerk, Carolyn was so kind and helpful She was able to accommodate me with a downstairs room due to a cancellation She was professional but also personable My rate was more than fair I will definitely recommend this motel to anyone

Nice B&B in a home from 1884 with a really lovely and delightful couple, Mary Lynn and John I was treated just like family They killed me with food at breakfast! A huge omelette, biscuits with gravy, sausage, fresh fruit, and orange juice and coffee

I was stuffed!I loved my room and they WiFi with an HDTV with lots of channels and a fridge with cold water If I pass through Marshall again, I will stay here!

Great place! We stayed for an overnight college visit Couple was very friendly and accommodating! We were served a healthy and yummy breakfast and asked if we had any allergies, which we do and were taken care of with no hesitation! The rooms have lots of character and it is a beautiful older home that takes you back to Vicorian Days Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful property! Well maintained, clean, well run and very friendly Linens and pillows are normal Comfort Inn style Lots of towels provided

Pool, workout room, business center, breakfast room, 4 EV chargers Parking lot is well lighted if you come in at night In addition, a large parking area for the trucksCon: You can hear the trucks until 10pm but that’s it So no big deal for me

Pamela

The hotel is clean and staff is friendly The bed was comfortable and the room appeared to be nicely maintained and well cleaned The entrance has lovely landscaping and is welcoming

That being said, the cold grab and go breakfast is a bit disappointing Some protein such as yogurt, cheese sticks, peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, etc, could be made available What is provided is quite a step down from a hot breakfast The room lighting is sufficient, but a bit dark Even with every light on, the lighting seemed dim Not a fan of the florescent tube light bulbs, but the reading lamp beside the bed was handy Booked a king and was given a room with two queens The fitness center is quite small and very basic, no weights of any kind The outdoor pool looks quite nice, but did not have the opportunity to take a dip While noting a few negative observations, the positives far outweigh the negatives With just a few minor changes, this would be a five star stay Because it is a well maintained, very clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff, I would certainly stay here again

Jared Hahn

Nice place but I won’t be back until they knock off the grab and go breakfast thing People don’t pay for this caliber of hotel to not get a hot breakfast They have competitors on all sides of them serving hot breakfast and I’ve stayed in 4 choice hotels this week that were serving it too so it’s not any of that

They’ll be solidly above 4 stars when they get that figured out
