We booked a king room with a jetted tub, we asked if we could check in early and was told it was an extra $20 fee but could come in at 11am, I said that was fine On arrival I heard a man saying he was checking out he just needed 5 more minutes and overheard he would be charged an extra $5, that person was not happyStopped by the pool on our way up and it was filthy, a gross slime of film on top off the pool and trash around the pool area

When we went into our room we saw it was not the room we booked, it was smaller with no jetted tub When we said this was not the room we paid for we were told that room is not available and this is the only room they have, it didn’t seem right that we would get a downgraded room and she said we could get no money off but could get a “food and beverage discount”We told the reception we wouldn’t be interested in staying and she stated we could not get our money back, we told her we will cancel with our credit card and she said we will still be charged, we still leftWhile leaving a woman who was checking out said I did the right thing and that her room was “gross”Update 1 week laterI am still trying to get refunded for this The hotel is now asking me for proof that I did not stay How am I supposed to prove I never stayed? Watch your hotel lobby security camera footage where I walk out the same day and never return And I will make sure that I never return again in the future What a joke

I booked a rehearsal dinner for my son’s wedding seven month’s prior to May 20,2022 A deposit of 25000 was given in a signed contract in November 2021

Numerous phone calls and emails were unansweredOn the day of the event, the employees were not notified of the event Wrinkled tablecloths, no glasses, silverware, water on tables and brown paper napkins you get at fast food places on buffet table Therefore we did not receive the services that were explained to meA total embarrassment especially when the bridal party and out of town guest had rooms thereitwas impossible to reach anyone No one was responsible at the Hilton or this event Good bye Hilton!

Heather Casey

EXTREMELY RUDE front desk staff member We were staying for our wedding weekend and everyone was on cloud nine and excited, only to be greeted by a horribly nasty staff member She snapped at me on multiple occasions and was very unprofessional with her comments to me and my family

It was uncalled for, as we are a loving and easy going group We did not deserve her attitude and rudeness This lasted all weekend anytime someone interacted with her until some of my family members finally had to say something to her Her reply was that she was “joking” They definitely were not jokes Fire her or move her out of the front area if you want people to have a pleasurable experience Everything else was great, but she really ruined it

Enjoyed our stay at Foxwoods We stayed for the first time in a Producer Suite and it was very clean and spacious The king size bed was very comfortable and the shower was great

Requested a view of pool and woods and they did have a room available after getting there about an hour after check in on a Sunday Only real disappointment was the casino of the Fox Tower on Monday night only had a couple table games going that were full and all the rest were closed Grand Pequot area was more crowded but we like the rooms better at the Fox Tower Overall, great stay and the staff were helpful and nice

Jay Allain

Obviously, the pandemic has challenged most entities – perhaps especially those who deal directly with guests That being said, Fox Towers stands out for its stellar reputation and overall access to any memorable Casino’s essentials – kindly staff, cleanliness and a range of dining and gaming options Being flanked by a spacious outdoor pool carved from Mashantucket’s legendary woods is also a gorgeous summer perk

And inside, The Red Lantern offers a varied Asian fusion menu and vibrant dining experience to surely entice any diner to return

jennifer rebello

Our first room smelled like weed, and dirty laundry There was a dirty sock left behind from a previous guest right in the middle of the floor, and it was extremely hot We spoke to the person at the desk and switched rooms

Our new room was nice , clean and the ac worked There were women screaming, slamming doors, and fighting in the hallway all night The room was just ok Nothing special Definitely not what you expect for over $500 per night We won’t stay here again

Thank GOD I bring my own sheets And the 3nights I stayed there I was killing spiders They were all over I’m very scared of bugs so I couldn’t sleep the whole time knowing there wad spiders in the room and bathroom The first place I saw them was on the towels when I first got there Then on the desk then by the phone and then on the pillow I did not sleep at all You guys need to really bomb that place Nobody should have 2 go through that The outside grounds was kept nice The breakfast was good And again the staff was AMAZING

25 stars no microwave, no refrigerator, elevator is SLOW, toilet flushes terribly you have to keep your hand on the knob to make it flush all the way, the television is up high on an armoire and there’s a divider type piece coming from the wall so when you turn the television if your sleeping in the far other end of the room you can not get a good view of the television They offer complimentary breakfast

Ample parking lot Spots are narrow and tight so when people park carelessly they get to close to your car making it almost impossible to open the door

Upon checking in I thought okay just like any other Holiday Inn walked into the room and they are SO OUTDATED!!!!!!!!! The room smelled stale and musty

The television is so SMALL and comes in grainy The toilet smelled like urine the tub was stained and chipped The room had a desk chair with NO DESK The DO NOT DISTURB sign was missing The bed is bouncy The bed skirt is stained a dark brownish color Thought about removing but afraid of what was underneath The parking lot is small and spots fill up fast Having to park far away and walking back and fourth is a nuisance The door to the bathroom is to close to the toilet and the bathtub Not enough towels The lights are dim and yellow Honestly this whole experience makes me upset and sad at the same time Spent so much money to stay here I want a refund

The conference center and other public spaces were clean, modern, and nicely done The rooms were also clean and newly furnished Sadly, the rooms employ several terrible trends that are already dated

Why, why, WHY did anyone every think to make the bathroom door a sliding barn door with frosted glass? This affords no privacy, and ensures that you will wake your spouse up if your turn on the light when you get up to pee at 2am It’s a terrible idea! I was also really surprised that the floors of the room were tile rather than carpeted I guess this is more sanitary and easier to clean, but it gave the room a very institutional feel that was akin to a hospital or dorm room – certainly not the vibe I would expect at this price point The ability to sign into your own Netflix or YouTube on the TV was nice, although I didn’t take advantage of this I also really appreciated that the bed was comfortable and I was able to get a good night’s sleep

Michael Brody

The hotel is beautiful We stayed here as part of a “wedding weekend ” The best part was that our room was ready for an earlier check in after a 4 hour drive, witth little time to get ready for the wedding

The room was very well appointed and “roomy” We enjoyed drinks at the very nice bar and enjoyed the spectacular buffet breakfast The omelet station prepared wonderful omelets for our entire party While “pricey” the hotel made for a great stay during a long weekend

gina marandino

I went here for a work function my room was on a corner which was beautiful I loved the way that it was decorated very clean very new very updated The food for a work function was very basic but very good I was a little confused and that the lunch seemed more like a dinner and it did or seemed more like a lunch in terms of the choices but that was probably not on them 🙂 they did a great job with supplying us with water and coffee and snacks during our event

The only criticism I have to maybe give is that the bar closes a bit early but otherwise we had a great time

This place was amazing I usually have a bad experience at most hotels but the staff here really made the stay memorable Everyone from the front desk to the cleaning crew were super nice and hospitable

The breakfast was delicious and many vegetarian options Normally hotels aren’t big in the quality of the food but Courtyard doesn’t hold back We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

This is one of the top two nicest courtyard Marriotts I’ve ever stayed at It is incredibly clean, and very modern Breakfast is not included but they do have a bistro

Most if not all the rooms also have balconies, and their beds are super comfortable All of the staff here is wonderful but I have to say that one person in particular name Mateo (one of the hosts) will go out of his way to not only make you feel welcome, but make sure that you have everything you need

The gentleman who checked me in was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient Outstanding service The room was even nicer than expected

I had reserved a king studio suite This was the last night of our vacation and the room was the nicest one we had the entire trip (we had stayed at 4 other hotels on this trip before our stay here) The room was spacious, very clean, had contemporary furnishings and an extremely comfortable bed The breakfast was really delicious, too And it was priced the same as a regular king room we had stayed at earlier in the week A great stay, would highly recommend this hotel!

K Baer

Stayed for 2 nights The location was very close to the Mohegan Sun Casino The room was average in size and very clean

The service was wonderful Nicole, the manager, was polite and professional There is a gym, a nice size indoor pool and a hot tub The tub had a small waterfall There was a nice complimentary breakfast with a variety of items Eggs, pastries, oatmeal, sausage, bacon, potatoes, cereals, waffles, and more The staff who were taking care of breakfast were efficient and friendly There was coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24 hours This is a hotel my friends and I would come back to again Great job and thank you

Darlin Liriano

Everything all around was great!! The hotel is spotless You walk through the door and you can smell how freshly clean everything is The new manager Jesse I believe that’s his name was fantastic on top of everything to make sure things were running smoothly

The pool and Jacuzzi area were also spot less The whirlpool was my favorite The rooms are large and very comfortable The breakfast was great! The coffee fresh all day!! Will stay here again 5 minutes from Mohegan and 17 from Foxwoods Price was great too!! Definitely worth the money!! Thank you for such great stay

We checked and the room obliviously wasn’t fully clean, floors were really dirty and only one bath size towel was in our double queen room In the morning we stopped by the front desk to make sure our room would actually get cleaned to be told they don’t do daily service I asked if they could at least vacuum our room and leave towels which wasn’t done

The peep whole was removed and a tissue was placed in the hole to block it On the last night of our stay the people above us were able to use their key to enter our room We immediately called the front desk multiple times to no one answering I called customer care and they reassure me someone would be up to address the issue momentarily, waited 30 minutes no one came When we went to check out the “manager” immediately address the issue by joking around if we don’t want anyone coming into our room we should shut the door After the night we had that’s a highly inappropriate answer and when question why she didn’t answer our calls or come up she stated that the phones don’t work As someone who worked in hotels for over 5 years I’m highly dissatisfied by the over stay The lack of cleanliness and customer service I will never stay at this hotel again Horrible service and cleanliness made our stay one we will not forget We were willing to overlook the cleanliness because everywhere has been hit by covid but with the breach of security and the blame for everything getting shifted to us it was the straw that broke the camel’s back

Rose Yates

First I have to say that all of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful This review was almost a one star but the staff turned my whole experience around and made it right The bed was super comfy and even though they aren’t doing housekeeping right now the staff made sure my family and I had everything we needed very quickly and efficiently

We will definitely be staying here again

Karen McGonagle

If I could leave more stars, I would based on the incredible and caring customer service we received Jessica, the general manager, was attentive and went above and beyond to help us navigate some challenges we had when our car had an issue and were trying to navigate getting and caring for the rescue puppy that we were picking up nearby She did so without us even asking and always with a smile on her face

The room was newly renovated and our kids really enjoyed the indoor pool We will remember this stay and Jessica for a long time

Honestly besides the bed being comfortable I would not stay here again We only stayed because of a discounted event rate They put $100 hold on our debit card on top of the price of the room that doesn’t clear for 2-4 business days

The room was very clean but we could not control the temperature no matter how hard we tried Didn’t sleep a wink because it was way too stuffy The elevator shook like crazy The only perk is that they have a great restaurant downstairs that served excellent food We were told breakfast at 7 but when leaving at 7:04 the breakfast was still not available which we had planned around I love Holiday Inn as a chain and have stayed in many This was one of my least favorite The hotel needs a lot of updates outside and perhaps a more secure feeling parking lot

Rico Graham

Stayed here two nights The biggest issue we had was the “non-smoking” rooms smelled heavily of cigarette smoke We asked to switch rooms and got put on a new floor and that room still smelled like cigarettes

Turned out it was the bed sheets and the towels My guess is whoever washes the linen is smoking near them after they have been washed We got home and all of our clothes stunk of cigarettesThe toilet paper and nose tissues were like sandpaper The vents inside the bathroom were black with heavy clumps of dust and dirt The shower water pressure was hard enough to take your skin off I’m not sure what qualifies this place as a 3 star hotel but it should be downgradedThey have a pool and the La Luna restaurant attached to the hotel is top notchThe front desk lady was very nice and tried to accommodate us the best she could That’s the only reason for the two starsWe will not be returning this hotel

Matt Crow

The room is nice, spacious and clean The hotel has a restaurant called La Luna We had breakfast there one morning

A fried egg with two sausage links on an English muffin with fruit was $11We stayed for night with three people and found out that they do housekeeping every 4 days So we had to request more towelsThe gym is open 24/7 but the pool closes at 8 I don’t know why that is since it is located away from any rooms

We stayed at here for one night on our way back from Maine and had an excellent stay! Check in process was smooth, fast and the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable! We booked a king bed in a studio room and it was absolutely massive and extremely spacious! We had everything we needed for our stay and the free breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety The only thing slightly annoying was that one of the neighbors in another room had a dog that barked pretty frequently But that’s to be expected at a pet friendly hotel! We had an overall great stay and we’re within minutes of popular attractions

Christina Dadamo

This Hampton Inn is so clean! All day long you see housekeeping cleaning and the front desk providing wonderful customer service Shout out to April, Louis, and the staff You all made our stay so enjoyable and the room was immaculate

After leaving the Marriott across the street because it was filthy, your hotel was such a blessing to check into Thank you all for your wonderful customer service We plan on booking our family reunions at your Hotel going forward 🙂

Nancy Hardwick

I often stay in Hampton Inn and other Hilton brands as we travel a lot for our children’s sports and college search In general, the brand has been a really great choice for someone who is traveling frequently and needs one night or two This Hampton Inn does not live up to the brand

Rooms was small and run down and dirty Bathroom was dirty and I saw bugs in the bedroom Breakfast was horrible WAY OVERPRICED simply because it is Mystic in the summer (love Mystic!) We were not there for vacation, and this was a ridiculous amount to pay This hotel was not worth the (over) $400 per night they charged me, a Hampton Inn is supposed to be a good option for frequent travelers Important to note, I have never been compelled to write a review before, but this hotel was really not worth the money and there are many choices in the area The last time we went, we stayed at the Marriott – it was a little bit more but extremely lovely and clean The Mystic area has so much to offer, just not this hotel

The front desk staff are all very nice and accommodating However, this is a Hilton in need of renovation We were given an upgrade to a Deluxe room which was very kind but I can only imagine the lesser rooms

We had torn curtains, furniture that was old and worn, old bathrooms with fixtures and toilets that can barely be cleaned well any longer This hotel should be re-branded as a Hampton Inn, or renovatedBreakfast was nice and I must say at a reasonable price for a hotel

C J

I gave it 3 stars because the food we had for a large event was absolutely inedible (F-) Worse than a high school lunch No one ate their meal and that was from 3 selections

But the breakfast buffet was an AThe rooms were great Clean and up to date I liked how they set up all amenities Comfy beds The Big minus, only could set the a/c at 60° as the lowest With four people in a room getting ready and it’s warm outside, this is not cool enough That suckedThe people who served us the entire time PHENOMENAL Hard working, courteous, quick, very nice Kudos to themOverall, a great place to stay Just eat somewhere else!

Dee Roberts

The rooms are so clean Love the swimming pool and restaurant They have a kids menu and they have stuffed animals in the gift shop

Right across the street from the acquarium and shops Super kid friendly I just think the price is high for check in time not being until 4pm and check out at 11am, if you’re only staying one night it doesn’t give you much time

Nice hotel but I wouldn’t say it’s “family oriented” most guests that are here are couples or more adults They offer a shuttle from 4pm-1am to the casino So again not very family oriented

Rooms are not that large due to the huge couch it takes up so much of the rooms space They don’t give you many towels They don’t offer a microwave in your room Which was a HUGE problem for our stay Breakfast is complimentary from 7am-11am Parking is complimentary as well

Stephanie Lopez

We stood there for two night to enjoy the casino for our honeymoon The room were clean! I always check everything before settling in As being a house keeper my self

The bed was awesome, the water pressure was excellent Jonathan was very helpful & friendly The only downfall was we wanted to order wings after having some drinks and they told us the oven was down The breakfast was great also

The hotel itself is clean, modern, rooms are spacious and the free breakfast is lovely The staff, however, is what really sets this hotel apart and is why I will return time and time again I recently stayed with my daughter and upon getting home, she realized that much to her horror, she left her beloved baby blanket in the room

I called the hotel and spoke to Grace at the front desk who took it on herself to find this beloved blanket She called back within 10 minutes saying she not only found it but reassured me we would get it back swiftly It’s times like this you are reminded there are far more good people in the world who really care Thank you Grace and the entire staff at Hyatt Place at Mohegan for making not only our stay enjoyable, but who made a memorable difference in my daughters life!!!

Stayed here for one night while my teenage daughter was attending a concert at Mohegan Sun The hotel is nicely decorated and room was laid out nicely and seemed clean, but nothing fancy However, one of the beds seems to have not had the sheets changed; there was a clothing store tag inside and a yellow stain

We were also awakened at 3 AM by extremely loud guests across the hall which carried on for some time All in all, it seemed like the type of room you would normally pay about $90 for, not $365 which was our final bill

Absolutely horrendous customer service Arrived for my stay and was informed that the pool was closed Spoke with the front desk personnel and explained that I was traveling with children that expected to swim

After some deliberation I was told that although I booked in advance she would refund my trip and had spoken with her manager Fast forward a 3 weeks and Fairfield Inn Uncasville has only issued a partial refund and the general manager has assured me that I am lying and no refund will be issued Nothing like spending your hard earned money on something you never receive

Room facing street was traffic noisy Staff were very friendly Big assist was lending me a corkscrew

Ha Casino shuttle was not running this Monday night Oh well, not very far by car Breakfast was prepackaged egg, pork patty, cheese on bagle or biscuit, which were quite good Better than digging around in a tin full of scrambled eggs King bed room with sitting area and two tv’s was nice and clean

Mermaid Inn is one of my favorite retreats ever! The B&B is so warm and inviting not only by its pure overall presence, therooms and decor but by the most gracious host, Josephine Rooms are cozy and beds super comfortable All the amenities you need are at your fingertips

Also, breakfast is such a wonderful way to start the day Josephine prepares such great dishes and accommodates all sorts of food issues Mermaid Inn is my go-to if I am going to be in the Mystic area overnight

The Mermaid Inn is an amazing choice when staying in Mystic We’ve typically stayed elsewhere on previous visits, but know we’ll be back to the Mermaid Inn next time we’re in town Quaint little B&B just a 3-minute walk from everything downtown Mystic has to offer

Josephine was extremely friendly and welcoming Breakfast was great with plenty of choices and the house has a lot of great outdoor seating on the wrap-around deck Rooms were cozy but still felt private, and everything was clean

Beautiful old house with tons of character and charm The hosts Carol and Ted are very interesting people, and very welcoming The rooms are filled with many thoughtful touches

Even though we didn’t use it too much, we also appreciated the technology for streaming in each room We stayed one night in the Adelaide room and intend to be back, perhaps to try the Elizabeth room next The breakfast is absolutely delicious

My wife and I visited Captain Grant’s for our wedding night and weekend in July 2021 We could not have chosen a more perfect Inn to patronizeStaff:The owners and staff were personable, friendly, and attentive

Knowing it was our wedding weekend they went out of their way to celebrate us with a Breakfast Toast that still moves me when I think of it today,Accommodations:The room was everything we wanted in an Inn specializing in an old New England experience At the same time, modern conveniences are masterfully woven in so that they are available without hurting the esthetic The bed was comfortable, the shower roomy, and the atmosphere perfect for a couple’s first nightFood:Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented each morning The coffee was rich, the conversation stimulating, and the senses pleasantly overwhelmed with tasty morning fairPrice:The Inn is priced very well considering how close it is to Mystic, the beach, wharf, museums, and casino The atmosphere, food, and offerings at the Inn will prove to any budget minded soul that the cost is more than reasonable for a romantic getaway

This was my first experience at a bed and breakfast Ted greeted us as soon as we pulled into the driveway and gave us a wonderful tour of the house They have soda, beer and wine available throughout the day (all complimentary)! I will say my favorite part was breakfast, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS

They had delicious eggs, French toast and caramel apples Also, coffee/Orange juice and delicious coffee available I did not experience any paranormal activity I did hear questionable sounds overnight but I think that is expected since it’s an older houseOverall, both Carol and Ted were so friendly and inviting I look forward to going back

Stayed here for one evening while gambling at Mohegan Sun A few issues tarnished the stay In the bedroom, the heat was completely dead

We did have heat in the living room so felt that was enough to get by with, but it did get chilly through the eveningAfter a decent breakfast and coming back to a cool room, I needed a hot shower That never happened There was no hot water in the hotel at 10am That suckedOn the way out I told the desk manager that the visit was disappointing especially due to the shower that I managed to get a leg into He was kind enough to say that he would make a Choice Point adjustment and send me an email That was quite satisfactory to me Unfortunately, two weeks later, I have not received any credit so poor for the visitSide note that the back driveway was a sheet of ice and needs to be taken care of before someone breaks a legDue to the above reasons, I cannot recommend this establishment

Everyone has a fair right to know that this hotel is legit haunted The basement, second, & fifth floor for sure We stayed 11 nights, saw our fair share of events, & heard stories from others also staying there

So just be careful because the presence can definitely be heard and felt Other than that, I didn’t like the breakfast, they don’t have green tea, and the basement where the pool is, is uncomfortable The rooms are clean and stocked so that’s good & the staff is friendly!
