My sister and I were in town for three days because we had a family member in the hospital We chose to stay 2 nights at comfort suites and we were so glad we did Sandra at the front desk understood our situation, was very empathetic, made the check in process as easy as possible knowing that we were going through some very difficult times

The room was nicer than expected, very spacious and clean The inclusive breakfast was great! Lots of options for breakfast, the waffles were our favorite Erica who was attending the breakfast was so caring and attentive Her and Sandra both went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed We absolutely recommend Comfort suites to anyone needing to stay close to the hospital, I felt as if we were treated like family We will definitely be staying at Comfort Suites again!

We spent two nights at the Comfort Suites in Palestine, Texas while enjoying the local train ride and other sites The room was very comfortable, spacious with a good size bathroom

The bed was comfortable and we could adjust the temperature however we wanted The Comfort Suites has an excellent, very Hardy breakfast scrambled eggs sausage, cereal, fruit, coffee, juice, the whole works In the evenings, we hung out and play games in the lobby, along with other guests Everyone had a very enjoyable time It’s a very comfortable place to stay, conveniently located in Palestine texas A very comfortable place to stay

To Amy from guest services yes I did stay in that room before but we was called ahead of time and told about it My husband had said he just wouldn’t get in and by this being my birthday of course I wanted to enjoy the WHOLE room with my husband The room had an odor from the minute we walked in and I saw the carpet needed to be clean so that explained the room

I do know the late checkout is complimentary but I also know that by being a choice member it is one of the perks I NEVER stay anywhere else when me and him decide to getaway so I’ve stayed here a lot and always had great things to say but this time it wasn’t good Please feel free to call me so we can discuss this further

This was my first time at a clothing optional resort, and Butch and Phyllis made me feel welcome and comfortable The resort is very well managed and the facilities are clean and well maintained From talking with other guests I’ve learned that isn’t always the case at other similar resorts

And speaking of the other guests: many were regulars and clearly knew each other for a long time, but were open to me walking up and introducing myself and including me in conversations at the pool and hot tub Oh and as nice as the pictures of the place look, it is even better in person! How often can you say that!? The entire location is beautiful and restful, while at the same time providing a place for fun and diversion, for example at the Birdcage It was a wonderful experience and I very much want to come backUpdate: 4/3/22 I finally got to return to this amazing place and it is even better than before There are more cabins to rent, the club (the Birdcage) has been completely renovated to better mirror a dance club/disco location The facilities are extremely well maintained and everyone is as friendly as they were on my first trip Congratulations to Butch Manuel for an excellent job and an excellent location!

We pulled up last night in our rv Theres a short drive way right off the highway with a nice rod iron fence The property looked nice and well kept but we couldnt get in to even talk to someone

I tried calling and it went to voicemail, i got out to try there key pad in hopes it was an intercom, but it wasnt When we pulled up and i got out a couple was starting to walk in the opposite direction of us but kept looking back at me seeing im confused and looked like he thought about coming and asking if i needed something etc but after a minute or so he decided not to Im not sure if they were the host/owners but there reaction made me feel like they were, but again i am not positive and understand more if they were not Then someone tried to come out and instead of realizing that we have to back our 37 ft class a motorhome back onto a highway to get out she pushes her way and so we backed onto the highway I was pretty annoyed but figured we will stay somewhere else We drove by the outside of the park on the way out of town and could see several vacant rv spots About 10 mins later a lady calls me back from the park and i told her why i was calling and she told me sorry they were full for the night Okay well id believe that but i seen a ton of open sites with my own eyes I said thank you and hung up Again beautiful looking rv park, and looks clean but our experience was completely negative in my mind I wouldnt recommend and if so id call well in advance and figure out how u get through the gate so u dont have to back up onto the highway I think thats what bothered me the most They leave u absolutely no where to turn around or back out safely

I usually never leave bad reviews, but after the way my family and I were treated by the front desk staff on Easter weekend was so so undelieveable !! Extremely rude, very unprofessional and completely unpleasant if you don’t like your job and can’t handle the stress move around!! Customer service should come first!! Learn some manners, people beware they will change your bookings and say you never booked it!! Even after a confirmation email was sent!! Trash!! If you need a good hotel in Palestine go to the holiday inn great staff and service!!

Billy Boonkrongkiat

Dont stay here if you can help it Management here is terrible We were given someone elses room and our room was given to someone else

Was promised it would be fixed but it never was I was promised a discount for the inconvenience but was overcharged instead The only pro I can give this place is that the rooms are clean otherwise everything else was a terrible experience

My wife booked this venue for my 50th birthday/retirement party! It’s a very beautiful property! All of our guests loved it! The chapel is a very rustic and inviting building! I can’t say enough about how glad I was that my wife picked The Ranch at Walston Springs! If you have a wedding, vow renewal, bday party etc, this is your place! Give them a call, you will not regret it!

My experience here: No WiFi and very poor cell phone service, heard nearby gunshots one night, train at night blowing whistle, dryer stole $2 of quarters (not working), site next to road was a bit noisy, chainsaw noise one day, was quoted a price then had my credit card charged with a 5% surcharge for credit card price I had given them my credit card only to reserve a space Was never given the opportunity to pay cash

Strange rules you must agree to include things like: “Quiet time is from the time you arrive until the time you leave” & “Do not emit sound beyond your space” & “we don’t want to see or hear your personal displays of affection” You have to enter a code to get out of the park, and the place is a bit pricey ($150 per week) On the positive side, it is a very beautiful RV Park But I definitely won’t be back

Cyndi Hopkins

I cannot say enough good things about my stay here! My first RV solo trip and the owners were so kind and helpful They met me at the gate to navigate the entrance, helped me with my hookups and even checked in with me over my stay to make sure everything was ok The scenery was lovely

The site is clean and incredibly quiet I can’t wait to go back!

Almost everything about this place is superior It is updated, clean, quiet, comfy beds and friendly Parking is adequate and safe

You are a two min drive to Walmart if you forget anything and the same distance to many restaurants The breakfast is surprisingly filled with choices that include boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, breads and bagels, waffles, cereal and fresh fruit My only complaint is the eggs were almost unpalatable due to extreme saltiness but if that is my only complaint I’m doing pretty good 10/10 should and would stay here again

Phyllis Maffett

I’m working in the area for several months This place was a gem of a find The Staff are super nice

The place is clean and secure and quietBig shout out to Daniel and Emma You guys are awesomeIf you’re in Palestine Texas, don’t take a chance, stay here

Stephanie Currie

We got in about 9:15pm, Daniel the clerk was very friendly The first room he assigned us the air condition was not working, the 2nd room was their handicap room The shower was missing the hand held shower head, the tub was in need of resurfacing and the wall was cracked and mended

The chair in the room was very old and obviously worn I couldn’t believe they had it in a room we were paying $135 a night for! Oh, and since when does a hotel NOT leave soap at the bathroom sink? There is shampoo, conditioner and body gel in the shower (very nice too),but what about the soap for handwashing? For the good stuff now, the beds were comfy and nice big television in the room All thr staff was exceptional and courteous They do serve a good full menu for breakfast The rooms and lobby are immaculate

maria Moreno

When we arrive at the front desk lady told us can u come back in 15 minutes my computer it’s not work My husband said no we can’t so she said ok let me check Nd she asked for our credit card

We told her we want a king size bed She said ok We go upstairs nd our room had 2 beds We come back down nd tell her we wanted one ded only She said oh I didn’t knw that room had 2 beds Then she said that’s the only room we have Well why didn’t u tell me that in the beginning instead of wasting out time Because I knw in the computer tells u how many beds it has She didn’t say anything not even sorry 😐 🙄

Short overnight stay for sporting event For a sold out night it was pretty quiet Chose this hotel over others because they offered a room with 3 queen beds which was perfect for our family of 6

Desk clerk was so friendly and even provided info of the nearby family owned restaurants, one of which partners with the hotel to provide free breakfast to hotel guests Highway, shopping plazas, fast food and gas stations are less than 5 minutes from hotel

Heather Whitney

Save the extra $50 and hit up motel 6 If I’d have ordered through a travel agency, it’d have been cheaper, and that’s with a military discount on the hotels end I asked for ajoining rooms, didn’t get it

They neglected to tell us the pool was closed until we got here (the whole point of paying extra for this place) Lets add the breakfast is at the cafe, which the hotel gives you a voucher for and you get to pick from 4 items Room was fine except my key card didn’t work, even after having them reset it Receptionists were nice We certainly won’t be back
