Nice location on the Reedy River with several dining and bar options in the immediate area Clients that were in town that we were hosting enjoyed themselves and had a nice stayNo housekeeping or acknowledgment of being a Hilton Diamond Member though

Valet attendants were the most friendly of the bunch The guy at the front desk upon check in acted like he had no clue why we were there standing in front of himWe had to prompt him to act (do his job) to get us checked in properly Poor and not a good feeling right out of the shoot

The hotel is your classic Hampton The room was setup in a bizarre manor The TV was on the side wall so if you wanted to watch it, it was literally to the left of the bed

Made it uncomfortable at best Bathroom was spacious with a great shower The surroundings made the hotel worth it with walking trail and plenty of restaurants to choose from Well worth the stay except for that room setup

Location, location, location! It tough to beat this location in Downtown Greenville We parked our car for the weekend when we arrived and never drove it again until we left Too much to do within walking distance including restaurants, coffee, ice cream, entertainment, and more

The city ran parking garage below the hotel and street parking were both full when we arrived (around 8pm) so we ended up using valet parking Valet was $20 while the garage is $7 Valet was seamless with no issues! We would stay here again if coming to Greenville Highly recommend!

The rooms are so small If you are traveling as a couple, forget being in the bathroom at the same time, it’s too small and narrow Once you step up in the shower, your head is almost touching the ceiling

They made the showers so narrow that you barely have room to shave your legs and they only provided one small corner ledge for your toiletries The staff was nice which half made up for that stuff The WORST thing about this hotel is really just the location of it We thought it would be nice to be right near stores and I-385, but the spot they put this hotel is almost impossible to get to You really have to fight all the heavy traffic if you need to make a left to leave or get to the hotel and it’s right by the train tracks There is no traffic light to get out of the parking lot/shopping center

I travel constantly for work and stay at a variety of Hilton hotels This was my first time staying at this location and can confidently say this is the most accommodating and caring staff Specifically, I’d like to mention Belinda and Heather at the front desk who went above and beyond anything I’ve experienced

Thank you both for the pleasant stay Highly recommend!

When i went to check in here I was told they don’t accept cash payments(LIE) I said I can give my debit card to put on file but i prefer to pay in cash He said no, we dont accept any cash payments

After paying with my card, I went out to get my bags, the front desk guy who had just checked me in, comes out and moves his car from next to me and proceeded to hit his alarm button several times I have never felt less welcomed by any hotel To top it off, my card was charged twice for the one reservation I had to call my bank and dispute the charge It took about 5 extra days to get my money back I decided to call and speak with the manager She was nice enough, told me yes they take cash payments with a card on file for incidentals Also said she would talk to the employee and give me a call back That was almost 2 weeks ago and I’m yet to receive a call from her

I really liked it here The lady at the front desk was kind and very attentive The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable

Now the location is a little funky Other than that it’s really nice Only thing I didn’t like was they did not serve a hot breakfast, but there are places to eat not that far Including the waffle house I just don’t recommend walking there since it’s literally right off of the interstate

5 stars solely for the fact the shower head was above the 6ft level so I didn’t need to contort myself to wash my hair Room was clean The sliding door for the bathroom is cool, but not very private as it sits like an inch off the wall and the one bed has a clear view through the gap to the full length mirror that reflects the rest of the bathroom

But that’s generally not a big deal as you’ll know who you’re staying with

Luke Skywalker

I enjoyed my stay The room was very clean The bed was comfortable

It is a basic hotel room and it served its purpose If you need a place to sleep and grab a shower this is it The price was excellent My only suggestion would be better directions on how to use the coffee machine in the room If I ever find myself in Greenville again I will book another stay here

Todd H Ohlmann

What a great little hotel It looks like the entire place was completely rehabbed and reopened The did an amazing job with the room we were in

The only negative of our overnight stay was the breakfast Apparently their kitchen and serving equipment was on backorder so they provided a bagged breakfast to go juice, pastry, yogurt, apple, and granola bar Once the breakfast area is open and ready to serve this hotel will be great in every aspect

Manager HP is a hard worker and pitches in to make sure everything is done well I also corresponded with Michelle (front desk) numerous times as I booked 15 rooms last December for a wedding party All my interactions with everyone at this hotel were exceptional

They were very much committed to making sure our entire wedding party was satisfied Super friendly and helpful people Highly recommend!

JGC Travel highly recommends this place if you’re visiting the area The hotel has been up and open for about 4 years, from what I was told, and the freshness definitely showed The room we had was clean, spacious, and comfortable

Except for our bed sheets To someone not paying attention to details, they appeared perfectly clean but they needed changing, which was promptly taken care of The bathroom was a decent size too with a roomy shower and plenty of towels, cloths, and soaps They did a great job with making sure the room is truly dark when you close the blinds and turn everything off Perfect for sleeping with that excellent mattress and fluffy pillows Lots of desk and closet space too The fridge was a good typical hotel size but the microwave could have been a tad bigger It got the job done thoughThe space for breakfast wasn’t very big but it was serviceable The gym was a decent size with a handful of treadmills and plenty of free weights The pool wasn’t very big but, again, serviceableStaff was very pleasant and ready to help if and when needed I appreciated the recognition of my platinum membership, as not every location does it (although most do)The location was really good A Cracker Barrel was located directly across the street, a Raceway gas station was adjacent to the hotel, and there were other places to eat very close by The hotel is also located right off the highwayIHG did not disappoint with this location I will certainly look to this place again next time I am in the area

I paid $136 I’d flown in overnight, was exhausted Bed was really comfortable, good selection of pillows and I was able to find one I liked

Window coverings blocked out nearly all the daylight so I was able to get to sleep during the day I did not hear any noise from the road, hallway, or next room Really grateful for being able to get some good rest The breakfast is the standard holiday inn breakfast, it’s pretty basic and not good, but no different than any other holiday inn Room was very clean Shampoo dispenser in the shower was empty

Rooms are 5/5 beds are comfy towels are soft plenty of room and had a wet bar microwave and mini fridge Plenty of hot water and great pressure Desk was plenty big and lots of lighting and places to plug in

Breakfast was 1/5 eggs looked and tasted like jello sausages looked boiled and grey the bagels were moldy Front desk Staff was 1/5 looked like they had sticks up their butts Never smiled never said hi or Good Morning just not friendly at all Breakfast staff was amazing and very nice they should run this place Housekeeping too was very pleasant and very kind and went above and beyond Management needs to take a serious look at the front office staff

Jess S

Not a bad stay for a quick visit Not sure if I would pick this one for a longer stay We were a bit surprised as to how dated and gloomy the rooms were

The whole hotel looked and felt old We had a few issues with our first room Some things like the phone and remote didn’t work There was something on the sheets and we saw ants behind the bed We had not made it back to room til after 11pm And everyone was tired Thankfully when I went to the desk, the gentleman there was very nice and switched our room without any hassle I wish I remembered his name His politeness and sincerity, made all the difference So I left 4 stars for service, for himEveryone else we saw, from the girl who checked us in Fri at 6p to the ladies at the breakfast area, on Sat Am, seemed to be in foul moods They didn’t seem to be interested in customer service at allMy daughter and I did enjoy the pool and breakfast We had only expected a cold continental, but they also had sausage, scrambled eggs and make your own waffles!

M. P.

Nice hotel, very clean Breakfast had a good assortment to choose from, but only one waffle maker A long line had formed with people waiting for waffles

At exactly 9:00, everyone was told that “breakfast is over!” The people waiting for waffles were asked “Are y’all about done?” Sure- three people in line times 25 minutes per waffle- then they’ll be done It just wasn’t necessary Also, it’s the weekend- why is breakfast over at 9? And finally, it just isn’t an appropriate way to talk so someone who has payed $139 to stay in your hotel We can always choose a place that is more respectful of its guests, and might in the futureAnd another note, the excuse was given that breakfast is over at 9:00 because of staffing I know it’s hard right now, but you took away from a guest’s experience Did the price of your rooms reflect that change?

Suites are very spacious and nice Allowed for me (an early riser) to get up and have coffee, check email, watch TV, etc without disturbing partner sleeping in the other room

Hotel was nice and in a good location Check in and Check out procedures were efficient and easy The two big screen TVs were nice Good value for the money Reasons I rated it lower: Bathroom needs updating For example the toilets are so low I felt like I was back in elementary school Water pressure in shower was too low Living area: Sofa needs cleaning All sorts of mysterious stains on sofa Overall, a good experience I would stay here again

Dan Kochenderfer

I’ll start with the negatives

The shower water pressure wasn’t great, but I believe it would be as simple as a different shower head, one that allows you adjust the stream Other then that, let’s move onto the positivesGreat location on the river, we had a room on the 7th floor with a city/river view The room was spacious for the 5 of us, and clean I liked that you needed a hotel key card to access your floor The staff was super friendly and professional The breakfast buffet was one of the better we’ve had compared to some other Hilton’s And the breakfast room has fantastic views We would definitely stay here again

We were exploring Traveler’s Rest and made our way to Greenville, SC for the night Clemson was having their graduation so the city hotels were pretty much booked up Hampton inn recommended their sister hotel Embassy suites so we popped up in the evening and booked it on the spot

It was very easy & we were pleased with Shanita, she took good careWe were also delighted with the spacious suite and the beds are very comfortable It felt good after a very long day on the road in trafficThe only complaint I have is the flat roof nearby had some kind of fan on it or maybe I was near the air conditioning unit but there was a rather loud humming sound all night long So I couldn’t really sleep In the morning when we came down for breakfast I stopped by the front desk to mention the noise but honestly the young man didn’t seem too concerned I did ask him to write the room number down and ask maintenance to check it outI also called Hilton Honors to share this feedbackMy husband says he also suggests breakfast last until at least 10 amHe enjoyed the unique omelet that was prepared for himOverall, a nice hotel that is perched over looking the Reedy River FallsIncredible location!Make sure you go up to Up on the Roof bar The view is spectacular!

RESIDENCE INN at 80 Carolina Point Pkwy, Greenville, SC 29607 Very disappointed This hotel used to be so nice, and WAS my preference for business travel

The cleanliness began to slip, and has worsened over the past 2 years After checking in, I proceeded to my room, only to discover a disgusting sight It appeared as though it hadn’t been cleaned There was paper on the floor and on the stove top Greasy hand prints on the refrigerator and door handles Hairs on the bathroom vanity/sink Debris on the floor Something had been spilled on the bedside table and not cleaned up It appeared as though only the bed was made As I was at the desk to request a room change, a gentleman was also expressing his concern about a filthy room, and indicated that he found 2 live ticks crawling in his room *(See Photo below) The front desk clerk apologized profusely, and was very professional He understood customer concerns and accommodated requests accordingly Myself and another business associate relocated to another Residence Inn in the downtown area, and were both very pleased with our rooms there

S D

Hotel is nice but what a disappointment when it comes to breakfast I always look forward to Marriott breakfasts but this left a ton to be desired Everything they serve comes in a bag, why I have no idea

No eggs, no bacon, don’t even offer toast of any kind You can get a bagged sandwich but the sandwich wasn’t good at all I’m sure the hotel is doing what they think the guests want but what a breakfast bust

We were there for a wedding and this was the hotel that was chosen for most everyone to stay We were able to get a discount because of that but even without it, it looked like their prices were very reasonable The room was clean and was beautiful inside and had a beautiful view outside

The service was great I would definitely stay here again

Andre Berenzon

After reading more reviews about the thefts that happens in this hotel by their staff, I feel more confident about getting a solution to this matter My wife and I rushed out this morning and she forgot her wedding band and wedding ring in the bathroom counter We both are 100% sure we left it there

Three hours after checking out we called and they said they would send someone to check the room and would call us back Ten minutes later we called again and they said someone was in the room searching for it and would call us back Thirty minutes later I called and the manager said she personally went to the room and it wasn’t there There are plenty of other reviews reporting the same issues We are filing a police report We are filing a claim against Hilton’s insurance We will go out of our ways to sue anyone involved and will make sure this gets solvedWe are Hilton Diamond members and will never support this brand again until Corporate reports back to us with a solution

Rob McQueary

I thought long and hard about this review because I love and am usually overwhelmed by our connection to the Hilton brand of excellence This location was not in keeping with that I understand that they are in the midst of an update so I will reserve final judgment

It wasn’t any one thing… just a mountain of little things that did not add up to the usual excellence attached to the Hilton name

I travel a lot for work and stay at a lot of Marriotts Being a woman, that can be a little scary at times, especially in a state/city that is new to youMy original room was booked with a connecting door which over the course of the evening caused me a lot of anxiety and stress (realistic or not)

I felt embarrassed going to the front desk to ask for a new room at 10:40 PM Employee at the front desk, Maya made me feel heard and didn’t even blink an eye when I told her why I wanted to change rooms She was very professional, warm, and comforting The process was seamless That is not customer service that can be taught; it is Just genuine kindness

Bridget “Techmamma” Thrun

My room had just had the carpets cleaned and eventually the room became musty as not enough time had passed to let the carpet dry Pool was not open, HH and Cafe not open regular hours Overall a decent place to sleep but lacking in experience

And the musty smell from the room was just gross my entire suit case now has that smell Yuck

Roman Szczupak (Pipe Doctor)

Traveling for business for 2 nights, booked on the Bonvoy app weeks prior Selected a King Balcony Upon arrival the mobile checkin didn’t work

Upon opening the guest room I was overwhelmed by cigarette smoke The table below the TV was wet and a white substance also coated the tabletop Found a bug on the bed Immediately went to the front desk and got a “upgrade” to a 1 bedroom suite Better accommodations but lacked a balcony and the room faced the highway which resulted in a restless night Finally at 3:30am I left and went across the street to the full service Marriott World differenceThe indoor pool is closed and drained Avoid this place, but if you must – get a room opposite the parking lot/parkway The noise will keep you up

Stay was nice…but… I have 3 children that play travel baseball and always search for best prices on hotels

I paid up front a week prior to staying at Comfort Suites in Piedmont, SC for a discounted price They advertise if you pay in full up front that you get a discounted price of $xxx Once we checked into the hotel, the random charges started I had a $104 hold on funds even though the full price was taken out of my account the week before Then I had random charges of $81, $83 and $14218 charges They sent a receipt much higher than I paid initially for my week stay We even checked out a day early so we had already paid for a night we didn’t stay before these additional charges The hotel will not respond to my phone calls or emails The complaint department just refers me back to the hotel I will never stay in a Choice Hotel again I’ll stick with Hilton Honors

Gifferson Romero

I spent the past weekend at this hotel (due to a soccer event), and I have to say that the room was comfortable, with two queen beds with an extra area with a sofa The breakfast wasn’t what I was expecting, but in general, it was a nice place to stay The front desk people were friendly and willing to help and resolve any issues we faced during our stay

I recommend it

Hard to know where to begin

When I came the afternoon person was at the counter I don’t know what others are talking about when they mentioned that the staff was friendly Totally not true for the person who checked me in I wish I knew her name because management need to be informed My next day interaction with her was even worse No housekeeping, so I went downstairs to get more soap and facial tissues and she placed the facial tissues out of my reach Then the soap she put on top of the facial tissues as I was clearly holding out my hand So where’s the southern hospitality other guests spoke of? Now the rooms, one review spoke of hair on the shower floor My first room was a disaster with hair all over the furniture and the shower was poorly cleaned I asked the desk clerk for another one which I sensed by her response that she didn’t want to do The second room was only a little better than the first Still hair on the sofa but the shower was a little bit better I decided to take the loss If the company wasn’t paying for it I would have left and found another place to stay The only reason this isn’t totally unbearable is they were actually serving breakfastRevision is due to speaking with the General Manager She was very apologetic and assured me that she will deal with the issues that I stated I believe that she truly cares about her guests and the hotel she runs I would feel better about a future stay If you stay here and have issues please don’t leave without talking to her

Well, I hate to complain, but the last Hilton hotel I stayed in was in Duluth, so that is why I decided to stay here I came to this area to take a nursing test at a nearby testing center I have always stayed at Hilton hotels, but had no idea my expectations would so disappointed after staying at a beautiful, clean, Hilton hotel like the one in Duluth

To start, I think they upgraded, but was not sure, because I reserved a king bed, and I ended up getting two doubles in my room which wasn’t really a big deal, however when I walked in, I felt like I was in a bad episode of the Brady Bunch and couldn’t escape The decor definitely was not up to par, very outdated I walked into my room and it was so hot that I had to call the front desk They did send maintenance quickly, but the stench of the old hotel plus the room being so hot almost made me retch So, I ended up with a box fan The air conditioner never really worked properly, so I was thankful for the fan, but I would have been ashamed to charge for a room And, the sink beside the coffee pot had coffee on the wall Did not make me feel as though the room was deep cleaned The food from the cafe was minimal, and I was charged twice I called to accounting department and they were too rude to call back Never could get a live person Still checking my credit card to see if it was fixed I don’t mind paying for good food But to have minimal food and be charged twice!!! And then, not receive a phone call back? I called twice Also, the breakfast bar I wanted eggs and bacon, and the eggs were obviously powder eggs and the bacon was cold Just not a good stay and I felt the hotel was old and dirty NO ROOM SERVICE I will say the positives: The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and there was plenty of parking, and the bathroom did smell of clorox, so I am assuming the cleaning in the bathroom was complete I will not be staying here again I was so disappointed after staying at the Hilton in Duluth No comparison at all Needs updating and some new carpet

Choosing Homewood Suites for the hotel for our son’s wedding block and welcome reception was the best decision we made! Both Jack and Taylor were EXTREMELY helpful all through the process Always responding to emails and phone calls The guests rooms were very spacious and beautifully appointed

We reserved a “grooms room” overlooking the entrance to Fluor Field and it was perfect for our son and his groomsmen to get ready in…and the view…spectacular! Friday night before the wedding we hosted a welcome reception in their breakfast area The fee was more than fair considering what other places in Greenville were quoting us The staff helped us decorate and clean up afterward It was a great evening and all that attend commented on how nice it was to have this beautiful space to ourselves for the evening All the staff was so helpful when checking in…and checking out Can’t speak highly enough about the hotel and the staff Location is ideal as it it close to the ballpark, around the corner from some craft beer places and a few blocks from Falls Park

This hotel is a facade It’s beautiful on the outside where it counts I went to the front desk clerks multiple times about the cleanliness of my room

First the housekeeper skipped my shower entirely Went to the front desk and the staff said they’d make sure it’s clean the next time The next day they cleaned the housekeepers missed the kitchen area and didn’t vacuum but she did the shower Went back upfront and nothing happened I did it myself The third time I was going home and asked for my room to be cleaned The assistant gm said it’d be cleaned and she’ll check to make sure I came back to the room 3 days later and my shower wasn’t cleaned once again or the kitchen area At this point I talked to the gm and all she did was take four days off my stay and gave Hilton points Mind you I’m here for 13 weeks So I just took my stuff and left They also would put holds on my card at random times I was paying 1,000 a week here and this was my treatment

There were wipes and hand sanitizers at the entrance The elevators were super dirty w/finger smudges all over though The room was fairly clean but the sink was clogged and no dish soap

Exercise facility was great Bed was comfortable Quiet The TV is not well positioned Can’t look directly at it from the couch or the bed The pool is very small The breakfast and happy hour offerings were pretty subpar Nothing healthy except for the first day when they had melon and there was a small veggie tray at HH Have to pay extra for parking The area seemed safe if you happen upon street parking The lady at the front desk in the evening is extremely rude Totally unfriendly, no customer service in the least Would not pay as much as this hotel charges again for a stay here

Clean rooms, though a bit on the smaller side Very nice bar and the restaurant had a decent breakfast buffet selection (but it was $17 a person roughly) Huge 65 inch

+ TV was a nice touch in the room My parents actually hosted their wedding reception here 2 decades ago so it was cool to have a personal connection They accommodated our Omega Psi Phi conference pretty well for the size of the group we had

Derek Brooks

We stayed here for a conference and we’re very happy with the accommodations! It appears that the hotel has been here for a while, but everything we experienced was up to date and modern The room was great, but so was the hotel restaurant and bar The conference space was also very nice

We walked everywhere we went On Friday night the city closes down the street outside the hotel for food trucks and live music, our whole 3 night experience was great!

I slept well the second night which is better than I do at most hotels The walls and doors are thin I could hear talking in the hall

The wall behind me shook when the person in the adjoining room got into bed, and i could hear the music from the atrium clearly through the window of the room The bed was nice, and everything seemed clean Service was good There were plenty of places to charge things The water wasn’t hard The temp of the shower was nice The lighting was neat It was a great location to walk to the falls Surrounded by lots of cool places In general I enjoyed my stay there The Roost was excellent The glass elevator and atrium are beautiful experiences
