On The Rocks Photography – Tucson

I was here as a Photographer for a wedding The ceremony was planned to be outdoors but the gale-force winds (no exaggeration) prompted the staff to hurriedly pick up the WHOLE set-up and bring it indoors It was quite the feat as there were a lot of guests attending

What happened to be unplanned turned out to be amazing The views from the floor to ceiling windows (probably 40 feet high?) were beautiful with the sun peeking in behind them This allowed the guests to enjoy the ceremony without loosing all of their belongings and getting messy hair from the wind 5 stars for the staff for making a split decision and moving quickly on it! The reception area was unique because of the room’s shape It wasn’t your typical ballroom style, it had 2 levels (not great for elderly) and beautiful views as well The room was large and they accommodated a DJ, Buffet style food-service and table seating

Amanda

I came here for a conference (didn’t stay in the rooms as I live a few minutes away from the hotel) But the conference room was large The bar had delicious drinks and appetizers

The breakfast and lunch were delicious! The hotel was absolutely beautiful I hope all my conferences are here Even thinking about celebrating something here and having them cater 5 stars

For what we paid per night I would expect better service and quality Upon check in I was advised that the restaurants were closed They did offer a 20

00 breakfast buffet which was no more than what you get for a free at a budget hotel Upon entering our room we could see how outdated everything was You could literally trip on the carpet due to being so old Our refrigerator was filthy and the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest I went to speak with the front desk but they ignored me The vending machines on our floor were empty so if you wanted drinks you either had to go to the lounge or the casino I would not recommend this place at all

We had an amazing stay The GM went above and beyond in helping us make my daughter’s birthday extra special The staff was very friendly

The hotel was so beautiful, there was so much history there We were expecting a ghostly encounter, and we were not disappointed! We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with our own private sun room It used to be a part of the old hospital that was the men’s ward The views were gorgeous, and the room was very comfortable and warm The hotel is filled with beautiful antique furniture The free continental breakfast in the morning is served until 11 am And we were impressed that on the menu were Belgium waffles, among other items such as pastries, bagels, coffee, and more We are planning to return It’s definitely worth the money!

Patty J Behrends

It’s kind of tricky getting up to the hotel The road that doesn’t look like a road, but it is the road is a one-way Also very steep and long

Great very informative staff, we did experience some activity from the paranormal The hotel is beautiful We stayed in the garden room Which had a beautiful patio No coffee makers in the room☹️ The food at the restaurant was fantastic

Tyra Trevino

I love this place! The people that work here are the nicest! I got married in Jerome and stayed here the night, they don’t do “packages” for weddings or anything but I would still recommend here I love the ambience and history and it’s super clean and functioning The restaurant is down the hall from the lobby and they have good food and drinks

I will come back to jerome because I love it and I will always stay here It’s not a cheap hotel price wise but I still think the price is worth it! Plus they have different rooms to choose from Book ahead of time they fill up fast!

Avalus

This is a renovated motel made into a Western-themed lodge The staff is friendly and helpful There are free snacks, coffee, and small drinks, which is extremely thoughtful of the staff

The location cannot be beat as you are within a few blocks of downtown and Whiskey Row so you can walk back and forth if you choose not to drive And that might be a good thing since the parking situation is not the best The parking lot is edged up against the main road, and it is head-in parking right up to your room’s door This means that trying to back out the car requires you to literally back out into a busy street that is dangerously on a curve where cars are coming full speed I had to use the whole parking lot a few times to turn my vehicle around so I could see what was coming to my left and right If there were cars parked next to me, forget it Also, while the accommodations are fine, the rooms are tiny and a bit claustrophobic But nothing is worse than the bathroom It was a bit of a challenge to maneuver around the shower Lastly, the cost was a bit more expensive than I would pay for something comparable

Amanda Mayes

From the moment we walked in Carla made our stay fantastic She could sense I had anxiety about an upcoming bike race and the nearby fires, she suggested I have tea with honey that they stock in the lobby When we saw the next day she asked if I was feeling better

She was super accommodating with getting us towels, water and she left little boxes of cracker jacks on the doors There is coffee, water, juice, snacks in the lobbySince this isn’t a chain it has charm in excess! I had read the rooms were small but was pleasantly surprised we could store 4 mountain bikes, two adults and two schnauzers just fine We loved we could walk easily to the square and across the street to a Walgreens The outside porch with rocking chairs is very relaxing even on a busy road and at night there is a fire pit The A/C worked great and I loved that there is a ceiling fan, I am used to one at homeThe bathroom is almost comically small which was only a problem for my tall husband showering but it’s an old lodge Being on a busy road you can hear a lot of things at night, we ended up buying earplugs But small bathroom and needing earplugs still doesn’t knock a star off for me

First of all, fantastic service I connected with about 4 different people at the front desk while we were there and they were all about super friendly customer service The hotel is less than two years old, is in excellent condition, and is located right downtown

Our room was spotlessly cleaned, as was the entire facility We were on the fourth floor (which is the top floor) and we were centered in the middle of the floor facing south It was extremely quiet The pillows were very comfortable The only slight issue was with our mattress I’m not sure if all the mattresses are the same throughout the hotel, but ours was surprisingly hard We both found ourselves having to roll over several times throughout the night because of this But because everything else about our stay was surprisingly wonderful, they definitely deserve 5 stars We will absolutely be back

Kristen Lena

We were pleasantly SHOCKED at the amazing amenities, service and cleanliness of this hotel This was our first time here (and we came up during the New Years holiday) The hotel was new and clean, decorated so festively for the holidays

The restaurant was top notch, the food quality was so good My husband and I are both restaurant industry veterans and so our standards are high They were knocked out of the park by every single staff member in the restaurant! The cocktails were amazing, the food was delicious, the service was fantastic I cannot recommend this hotel enough We will be back!!

Kourtney Cruz

I rarely give 5 stars to a hotel in this category and I travel a ton This property is well managed and organized

the staff (special attention to Alex and Jess) understand hospitality and made me feel very welcome from the start They have an awesome bar, pool – sauna and a big gym – not just another tiny room with a treadmill Rooms are clean, modern and have little upgrades like smart tv and digital key Location is primewalking distance to whiskey row entertainmentThis property will be my top choice for Prescott hotels, you get what you pay for and this is worth every bit

A lovely 2 night stay with delicious morning breakfasts and a specially prepared anniversary dinner by Chef Peter Accommodations were most comfortable Loved sitting on back deck morning and night overlooking the mountains sunrise and sunset

A nice quiet and serene setting Some upgrade on deck furniture would be a welcomed addition Aime and Peter most gracious hosts Easy trip to downtown Prescott

We Definitely Would Stay Here Again When in the Prescott, AZ Area During our 9-day trip to Arizona including the Grand Canyon, we stayed at five different hotels/B&B’s Our stay at Watson Lake Inn was among the best overall experiences we had, too bad we only had but one night there

Peter and Aime (and their pup Precious) are as friendly and kind as any hosts you will ever meet And while our timing and schedule did not allow us to enjoy much time there, their home is beautiful with multiple opportunities to enjoy time there including sitting outside on the large deck or watching TV in the spacious family room The breakfast that Chef Peter prepared was delicious with no detail overlooked The homemade biscuits with homemade peach jam from their peach tree made me want more than the two that I had We would love to return if our travels bring us to Prescott again

Joseph Black

This is a Lovely little Bed and Breakfast It’s about a 10 minute drive from downtown Prescott and within hiking distance of Watson Lake Peter was super nice and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious

The room was perfectly clean and cozy The house has a large balcony which is great for watching the Sunrise in the morning

This is a historical property located right off Prescott’s downtown square, so if you’re staying here you’re only a couple minutes’ walk from a great choice of restaurants and shops The staff is friendly and will be happy to recommend a place to eat, but you’ll probably have more fun exploring on your ownThe hotel itself is over a hundred years old, but the rooms are clean and comfy if slightly smaller than what you’d find in a modern hotel, but to me that’s not an issue

The bathroom is nicely sized and appointed with antique fixtures and that, along with the older furniture in the rooms, makes this a fun place to stay There’s no air conditioning, but there is a ceiling fan, so be prepared to open the windows on to a quiet streetWe also took advantage of the covered porch to sit outside and enjoy a cool breeze and look out towards the downtown squareThe hotel itself, however, does need some repairs, especially to the roof, but this didn’t affect the quality of the stayPlease give them a try!

Great little hotel My wife and I stayed in room 16 (Abby’s room) We had direct contact with her

She was very interactive with us We used a flash light for answers and she was able to turn the flash light on and off for us as we asked questions We were very respectful to her and gained her trust for her to communicate with us Very helpful and friendly staff Amazing visit

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to Whiskey Row Nice and quite rooms, except for the squeaky staircase going to the lobby I hope i didn’t wake anyone up going down to work at 5am

Free coffee in the morning and craft beers for sale at the check in desk The staff was also great and very helpful Room was clean and had a comfortable bed

We were staying there for a family members memorial service and even though it was a very sad time for us the staff was incredible! I was very upset and sad and everyone was so friendly and kind Tom, (I assume the manager) was so kind when I had to shorten my stay with another family emergency and the housekeeping girl was so kind to us when she knew we were very obviously stressed and we were late to check out The rooms were surprisingly very nice and clean but the staff was outstanding

I’ve stayed at some fine hotels but never had such kind treatment I would definitely recommend !

Steve Oneil

Stayed 3 days during the 4th of July holiday 2022 Rooms were nice, very clean, had Direct TV, microwave and mini fridge, coffee maker in room Very nice complementary breakfast 😋 I had eggs and fried potatoes

Management is super professional and polite Indoor pool with hot tube was amazing We went swimming 2 of the 3 days we stayed I will stay here again and would recommend this place

Harriet Troutt

The hotel is super gross and sketchy Our rooms clearly werent cleaned and there was leftover trash under the couches and in weird placesThe hotel policy on rate changes and cancellations is dishonest

When I booked through the website, it autochanged the days I had chosen and then charged me 40 dollars more to fix the date within minutes The rate was overpriced to begin with but cancellations arent allowed They said nothing about no elevator on the website and put us on the 2nd floor The desk people were super weird and unfriendly I waited and contacted wyndham after the stay because of this and they did not care at all I would recommend an hour drive before staying here

LOVED this place! This was my first B&B experience and I’m pretty sure they’ve ruined me for all other B&Bs The hosts, Rick & Karen, do an excellent job running this B&B The room was clean, well decorated, spacious, quiet, comfortable, and well stocked

The location, in my opinion, was perfect The hosts and staff were kind, professional, helpful, and personable The truly amazing part of my stay was the daily breakfast I cannot say enough good things about the food A two-course gourmet breakfast was served each morning that was so delicious and filling, I did not need to eat again until dinner time Prepared by Rick and served by Karen and/or staff, it started each day off in the best possible way I will definitely be back Highly recommend

What a great hotel! The room was squeaky clean, fully renovated People who work there are exceptionally friendly – Donald in particular The hotel is located by the Tonto National forest and Lynx lake, minutes to downtown Prescott

Great breakfast! I am looking forward to staying there again soon Thanks you for providing an exceptional service!

Donald and the whole team were extremely professional and we were well taken care of We had a family reunion get together in the Yavapai room and it was great for our family to celebrate in The indoor pool was amazing and the jacuzzi was very hot and relaxing

The whole time I felt very taken care of and that they genuinely cared about my family The breakfast was also incredible!

payton rute

The hotel was nice and the pool was great for the kids The breakfast in the morning was also really good but the beds are hard and were very uncomfortable for me and both my kids I woke up to my two year old laying on top of pillows

The deal breaker for me though was that the hotel out a hold on my bank account two times instead of one which put me out $700 instead of $350 This was a last minute trip for Father’s Day so we didn’t have a bunch of money to spare When I asked the hotel about it I was met with rudeness from Pam who just said wait 3-5 days for it to come back into my bank account There was no hospitality or anything They just acted like it no big deal and that’s what bothered me the most I get accidents happen but nobody took accountability and nobody even offered free room service or points or anything When I was checking out the lady in front of me had the same issue as I did but they at least have her some points Why not me ? Why not try to make it up to everybody else who was stressed while on vacation ?

My husband and I had the most relaxing stay at the ghost city inn Nichole, the caretaker, is such a friendly and down to earth person, we enjoyed talking to her over breakfast Our room was clean, comfortable and had the most amazing view from the balcony in the morning

The grounds are well kept with beautiful flowers in the front and the back of the hotel The smell of jasmine was especially nice! The instructions to get to our room was so much fun, almost as if you were in a scavenger hunt or video game I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Jerome, as we will definitely be back ourselves! Thank you for making our vacation that much better

Bonnie Roush

We stayed here on July 7th Our flight out of Harrisburg was delayed 9 hours which caused us to get to Jerome right at midnight instead of the expected 3 or 4 in the afternoon with some stops along the way I called as soon as I knew we were going to be delayed and they informed me of where my keys would be and if we needed anything to call them and let them know

The room was adorable We crashed and fell asleep right away and slept great The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning was perfect, and the shower was great! We slept in a little and took our time in the morning We didn’t partake in any drinks or snacks We packed up and then we explored Jerome again as we usually do while in town The skeletons on the porch pointing us in the right direction were really cute Our room was really nice (I wish I had their decorating talent) We will definitely be staying here next time we are in town The view is pretty awesome too! Thank you for the hospitality!

Steven Cooper

My wife and I stayed this weekend From the time we first called until the second we walked out of the door to return home our stay was amazing Ingrid is a very friendly person

You don’t normally find people as nice as her We will definitely be back when we come to Jerome next time We love the city, the people and the businesses of this city Thank you Ingrid for making our stay as wonderful as you did

Everything was very nice Pet friendly and rooms smelled really nice Wish they had an enclosed dog area tho

would be much more convenient for the doggies to “go” It would also be nice to put the families with kids on the first floor!! Stayed two nights and both has kiddies running around in the room directly above uskind of annoying until they went to bed Otherwise, was a very nice place

This hotel gets 2 stars for the beautiful patio, the pool/hot tub, and the bar Not for the staff If that lady was not working the shift, I would have given it a 4-5 star

I cannot explain why the hotel staff at the front desk was so rude to me I don’t want to make assumptions, but my family is Asian and not from Arizona Not sure if that makes a differenceThe lady at the front desk working at 5pm on August 22, 2022 was disappointingRoom keys left near your phone will deactivate and lose access to your hotel room We did not know this, and needed to get replacementsShe lied to my group stating that we only needed to rekey 2 out of the 3 keys We walked back to our hotel room, and then had to walk all the way back because the last key was not working, because when they rekey it, the remaining keys deactivateThe lady said “I just rekeyed it, I don’t know why it shouldn’t be working” I then told her that she just rekeyed 2 of our room keys and that the last one was not working anymore once she rekeyed it She said “Yeah, the last key wont work”No apology, no customer service When I asked to get 3 new keys, she then said “I thought only 1 of them were not working” I re-explained what she just told me, and said once you rekey the room keys, you NEED TO REKEY ALL of themI then said the wifi wasn’t working Instead of apologizing, she said “You need to connect in the lobby and then it’ll connect” I told her that I did that yesterday, and she replied “Mine is working” I told her, yes but my room’s wifi is not working

This is our preferred hotel when we visit Prescott Staff is very friendly and accommodating Rooms are decent with comfy beds and a nice balcony, although one room we stayed in could have used some repairs in the bathroom

Breakfast during the pandemic has been boxed: breakfast burritos or bagels and fruit, the burritos are good They’ve been saying for awhile that they are going to return to full buffet breakfast, but it seems like they’re still doing the boxes Good coffee is available in the lobby Beer & wine can be purchased at the front desk When the weather is nice, the rose garden is a relaxing place to have breakfast, and the pool/hot tub are great (although only open seasonally) Prices vary seasonally and with events, etc and I’ll sometimes book elsewhere if they’re too high I’m a loyalty member and would prefer to book directly on their site, but often get a better rate on the 3rd party sites, so shop around Looking forward to our next visit there in a month

This hotel is clean and I love the seating everywhere inside and out You can order a glass of wine and play croquet, or enjoy the hot tub, the fire place, the pianoFind out for yourself, you’ll enjoy it

What a cute hotel! Was planning on camping but we had too much fun at Matt’s Saloon and it got dark, so this was a convenient spot to crash for the night We weren’t expecting much, but they did an excellent job making this old building feel new again while maintaining the old style Staff was super friendly and inviting

Perfect hotel to bring your special someone for a unique hotel experience in Prescott

Excellent service and friendly staff! Clean room and an overall great experience! This hotel also has an outdoor pool and has pet-friendly rooms for those traveling with their furry friends! I received prompt service while checking in (and out), and the staff at the front desk gave me a map of the hotel grounds and described to me where my room was and how the easiest way to get there would be After getting into the room, the staff at the front desk called to make sure everything was to my liking The room was spacious and clean, and the furniture was all very neat and tidy

I will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Kendra Allen

The room was very clean High quality bed Rooms have been updated and it was a great value

Staff was very helpful and concerned with our overall experience On a side note all the doors are on the outside of the building so you can see as you walk by how thoroughly they scrub down the rooms It was pretty impressive that on a Sunday with no real admin around the staff was still working so hard to maintain standards

Joaquin Martinez

This is a very nice hotel in the Prescott area Check in was fast and simple Price is very comparable for the area

The rooms in the back have a beautiful view of the mountain and your own private balcony The rooms were very clean The front desk called after 30 minutes upon arrival and asked if we needed anymore accommodations (which I have never recalled every happening at any hotel I’ve stayed at) Hands down a great overall Hotel! I would definitely book here again

We loved it here! The owner, Missy was so lovely She gave us a beer on arrival and let us use their laundry room, as we had been on the road for a while and were running out of clothes The room was so cool, it was made up of furniture from the old Stardust hotel in Vegas! Very kitsch and cool and just a short walk into the main town

I really liked being able to sit outside the rooms and the fire pits were great We want to live there!

Alicia J

The customer service is top of the line, probably one of the best I have ever had The staff is super friendly and accommodating You get a complimentary beer or wine when you check in

The parking is decent The rooms are super cute and old fashioned looking There’s a small deck at the front of each unit There is also a little community seating area for a larger group with a propane fire pit Coffee pot in the room with coffee, tea and hot chocolate, sugar and cream Refrigerator Super cute and quiet area Very close to whiskey row The walk was pleasant, up hill one way so keep that in mind Or plenty of Ubers Bed was comfy Bathroom is small, and the shower is like an RV shower – difficult to maneuver in Literally the ONLY complaint, but they can’t exactly fix that When we checked out, we were given a little baggy of homemade chocolate chip cookies I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to everyone to stay here In addition, prices are reasonable and Mark (the employee) gave great food recommendations

Our recent stay here was WONDERFUL We stayed in one of the classic rooms with a king bed and a fireplace The day we came into town, Prescott had just had its first winter storm

The temperature was 18 degrees!! We arrived after hours but had called ahead to let the front desk know When we got to our room, we found that the staff had turned on both the fireplace and the heater, turned a bedside light on for us and made sure we had access to our room and wifi We also had an email waiting for us with all the information to get us through for the night Our room was cozy and warm The lodge is small and funky but fun You feel like you’ve stepped back into the 50’s with the room decor, which is right up our alley! Our room was clean, quite, warm and inviting We slept well each night We had not anticipated the cold weather and ended up having to change rooms after the first night because we have a diesel truck and needed access to a plug to keep our engine warm The staff again, went above and beyond making sure we had a room with covered parking and a plug for our pickup We had only one minor complaint about our stay and that is the size of the bathroom The bathrooms are very small and the shower was even smaller! But in spite of the small shower, the water was hot and it did the job! The staff was so accommodating and so kind that we would definitely stay here again Also the location is EXCELLENT!!! You are just a short walk to downtown Prescott, yet far enough away to not have any of the noise
