Dog friendly hotel with friendly and engaging staffRooms were quiet and dark Our King room was plenty large with a sleeper sofa and table

In-room coffee, but not a pod-typeRoom was clean and felt fairly new or very well maintained Hotel was also very well maintained overallEasy access from the highway with a couple food options within walking distance Good hotel for travelers and those passing through, less convenient for a longer stay as you’ll be driving to everything

Mark Schulzy

Check in was very easy Requested a non-pet room and was accommodated The remodeled bathroom and shower was a pleasant surprise

Overall the stay was very good The breakfast was good Could have used some fruit and coffee creamer that wasn’t powdered Overall, the stay was excellent and I would definitely stay here again if traveling through Salina

Nancy Z

Clean room with remodeled bathroom No tub but very nice walk-in shower Nice pool with large whirlpool

Breakfast was the typical hot breakfast All in all, a pretty good place and decent value Nothing exceptional but good I would like to add that many reviews mention barking dogs We did see several dogs at the hotel but never heard one bark Very quiet stay

I like this place I will stay here again Rooms were clean enough, beds comfy, fridge and mwave and 36 inch TV, heat and cool unit that worked, Great Location, all for under $70 June 1, busy season

Good enough for me Sure it isn’t a luxury motel, no free shampoo, door handle loose, smoke detector stolen by previous guest, run a damp towel across the floor below the TV, and it comes up dusty, see a cigarette burn on bed spread, so it’s not perfect, but it has the basics Showers excellently designed Clean beds Clean bathrooms

Gina Michelle

Would not let us extend our stay or give us another room Management stated they have a regular customer who personally request that room and must check in at 1:20 so we had to be out of there in the pouring rain two small children and the manager refused to hurry up and have a room clean so we did not have to wait until after 3 pm

check back in This is the second time that we’ve had problems with this management and after calling corporate nothing was done we’ll never stay at this place again

Steven Patterson

Desk survive was nice $ fastdesk clerk was very friendly Room had gang tagging on the back of the door ( 123 ) 6

gentleman upstairs moved their cairs to the walkway & were just partying and carrying on The wifi is very slow used to much better Morel 6 properties One of the first times I’ve had to leave a unfortunate sad review of a Motel 6 Would I stay here again ? Probably not Which is sad I always stay at a motel 6

Bottom line: I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to others, especially if you’re used to the ordinary La Quinta chain standards which I’ve always found perfectly acceptable if not fancyWe stayed here for one night on a cross-country road trip; it was convenient for our route and we usually stay at La Quinta’s because of their pet friendly status so it made sense for usThe room we were given absolutely reeked of cat urine

I understand some pet owners do not treat rooms appropriately, but that should not be the next guest’s problem I’ve worked in hospitality as a cleaner and front desk, and in my experience at other hotels, this room should have been blocked off until it could be deep-cleaned or had carpeting replaced Or, better yet, had laminate or other forgiving floor material put inTo the hotel staff’s credit, we asked for a different room and were given one that was better without issue It was still extremely dated and had an “off” smell, but not nearly as bad as the previous room This customer service aspect earned them the two starsThe hotel facilities were dated and need remodeling, including the pool facilities which looked poorly maintained The hotel was located next to a truck parking yard where truckers were operating generators – it was very loud and rooms on that side of the hotel were noisy and the curtains did not block all the light used to light that areaOverall, if you have to stay here because you have no other options, make sure you’re at least getting a good deal, because you will very likely be disappointed

Tiffany Paxton

Overall it was good and we would stay here again if needed Tea and Kiaha(spelling) were wonderful to work with very helpful and accommodating I hope this hotel gets an update from corporate because it has extreme potential

Pros: Room was clean, property was clean, easy access and no road noise Pool was clean but not heated 🥶 our kids had a great time The breakfast was very nice and excellent service and delicious food The beds were soft and the room of cozy The front desk was kind and helpfulCons: booking was slightly a mess I called the morning of to confirm our reservation I made two day prior and it was not there The very kind front desk associate worked it all out and we were set Once we got there our first set of keys didn’t work we made two trips total for new keys My card was over charged It was not the hotels fault it was a glitch in the system I was told and I would have to contact my bank This was extremely inconvenient due to having all of the funds accounted for to make this trip and have almost $90 go missing 😔 we borrowed money from family to have enough gas to get back home Also my Wyndham points where not added to my booking so I missed out on a free night after staying two night Last thing there where a few cosmetic issues with our room, I reported them to the front desk so we would not be charged

Roxanna Mainster

Rooms are dated AC didn’t work well The window dark shade had a rip

The carpet needed vacuuming The wall paint was peelingI don’t think our sheets were changed at all even though we put the card out to do soOur bed was heavily indented in the middle and we kept rolling to the middleMy husband was excited that there was biscuits and gravy but there wasn’t anything I could have with lactose intoleranceOnline it said there was a pool and hot tub We found no hot tub The pool was 4ft deep and not in the greatest condition I wouldn’t put a foot in that pool

checked in at night and was greeted by a great smelling lobby Rooms were nice and beds were definitely comfortable People really be upset about breakfast

lol all i care about is a clean and comfortable room I do have to say, the TV is Tiny and look outdated i would upgrade to Nice flat screen to accommodate the size of the room i love the accent lighting when you walk in and through the room This hotel had a nice size lot for trucks on the left side of the hotel Personally, i would definitely stay again

Jen Poole

Nice hotel right off of I-135 and very close to numerous restaurants There is a Wal-Mart and Target minutes away There was plenty of parking available

They don’t have a free breakfast, but offer a menu of breakfast items and have free coffeeWe were upgraded to a Double Queen suite with a balcony, so this review reflects that style of roomStaff was very friendly and check-in was fast and efficient The on-site “Starbucks” wasn’t really what I’d call a Starbucks They have a Starbucks coffee machine (which was broken), and they had hot pots of Starbucks-brand coffee in the morning and bottled Starbucks beverages for sale in a coolerThe balcony was very slim with room for one or two people comfortably I probably wouldn’t opt for the balcony room again as it faces the interstate and it was pretty noisyThe bathroom had a nice large shower with a built-in bench in the back The shower had built-in bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in a nice lavender/eucalyptus scent that we preferred to the tea tree oil scent we’ve had in other Marriotts Good water pressure and fixtures with an easy to operate faucet that involved zero guessworkBeds were a little on the soft side The curtains did a good job of darkening the room The main detractor on the room was that it hasn’t been upgraded with some modern amenities yet, such as the Netflix-ready smart TVs and USB charging outlets that other Marriotts have However, the WiFi worked well, so this wasn’t a major issueThe pool was very nice and a highlight for our group The water was warm and clear and the hot tub was clean and comfortable The exercise room faces the pool with large windows The pool room itself was very warm, but it was nice that it didn’t have that heavy chlorine smell that hotel pools often have The outdoor area (fireplace and seating) was not open during our stayAll in all, this was a nice stop along the way

Excellent experience, very neat and clean Several extra details that showed care in design and construction Double bright lighting in the bathroom, two corner shelves in the bath tub (one low enough for a youngster), and two grab bars for the shower

Extra features I appreciated The lobby was laid out very nicely and the breakfast room was comfortable and roomy The arches in our room were very attractive also A real winner

Joshua Gardner

We had our doubts about booking this place because I’ve never stayed in a comfort inn, but let me tell you I’m so glad we did First off as soon as I walked in the guy working the front was super friendly and helpful The rooms are really big and well maintained, and the ac works great

My wife and kids loved the pool and the sauna And the hot breakfast was awesomeWe had a couple small issues with our room keys not working but they were fixed really quicklyOverall this is a great hotel and I’m glad we found it! Even better then some of the “nicer” hotels we stayed in on our trip

Chandler Bos

Short version:-loud and thin walls, service was C-, and my room keys had trouble reading properly+good breakfast, rooms were clean, good proximity to restaurants and shoppingStayed here after driving from Michigan all day Room was nice, clean All was well until the room next to me was filled

Initially, it wasn’t bad, until they went to use the restroom Then it sounded like they were in my bathroom with the door open, and let me save you the details but it didn’t sound like it was going so well for my poor neighbor I couldn’t believe how thin the walls wereAfter it happened the first time I thought it was done But then it happened a few more times accompanied with some violent coughing and I certainly couldn’t drown it out with the TVWhen I went down to the front desk, the guy was nice and apologetic, however his response to me was “we’ve all been there” Which I get it, we have all been there, but paying $108 for a hotel room isn’t a time when I would like to be there He didn’t have any ill will or negative meaning to it and I think he was just trying to make me feel better, but that wasn’t what I wanted to hear at 12:15 am he did go above and beyond putting me in a room away from others to make sure it didn’t happen againAfter 10 minutes I had all my stuff moved over to a new, once again clean room Besides the occasional door slams you get at any hotel, it was quieter I slept wellI also had a lot of issues with my cards reading correctly and needed to get 3 new cards for my initial roomOverall, the rooms were clean, the location was convenient, and the breakfast was good, but with an experience like I had I wouldn’t pay $108 to stay in a place like that again

My husband, two young children and I were traveling through to Colorado We stayed here to break up the drive from Illinois We truly don’t have any complaints about the place

The staff was excellent and super friendly! The hotel was very clean My first response whenever we walked into our room was how great it smelled The breakfast was great They offered waffles, hash browns, sausage, scrambled eggs, muffins, bagels, bread, cereal, oatmeal, apples & oranges, milk (white & chocolate), juices (apple, orange & cranberry) Shirley was so sweet and nice and kept the breakfast area very clean and tidy We definitely will stay here again!

Susan Dolan

stayed one night but the place was immaculate receptionist was efficient and pleasant room was spacious and the whole place looked updated and well kept

breakfast was very good and the staff person kept it well stocked and was very personable rooms were quiet and we got a much needed great nights sleep as we travel on to our new place of retirement thank you to everyone who made this one night stay much better than expected!!

Sean Marie Long

We stayed here on the way to KC, for the amount I payed it’s definitely not worth it It’s a nice place to sleep but that’s about itThe gentleman who checked us in was nice, as was the woman working in the morning cleaning the breakfast area

The breakfast is not great, everything is microwaved- the eggs, bacon, and hash browns, but the other options weren’t terrible There’s cereal, some pastries, waffles, and yogurtOur shower was disgusting, there was a dirty washcloth on the door and a ton of hairs/dirt in it We found out the door was broken and didn’t stay shut too Almost all of the employees smoke so it smells like cigarettes whenever you are near someone, they smoke right by the door & there’s butts all over the front part of the building 🤢

1/10 do not recommend Seems my experience was on par with numerous othersEvening staff friendly, that’s the only reason 2 stars were given

Towels were dingy and smelled odd The room was musty; smelled horrible and sheets stained Hair on batter cups on breakfast station; no coffee creamerMorning guest service employee was anything but welcoming and very unfriendly Decided it wasn’t worth mentioning any of the issues and we should just leave earlyPaid $125 for a room that wasn’t worth half of thatThought we’d give this location another chance after staying here this time last year with pretty much the same reviewBook elsewhere Don’t waste your money

Autumn Miller

Our room wasn’t ready, when we showed up to check in, around 2pm The pool was a lot smaller than what it looks like online The hot tub just had a piece of plywood over it

Just made the pool area look dirty and cheap The air conditioner in the room made a whistling sound and didn’t cool down the room We were hot all night until the morning, then it was finally cool Overall, I was very disappointed My expectations would have been lower if I had been staying at a hotel 6, but we thought this would have been a way better experience and it just wasn’t We won’t be staying there in the future

Edward Arnold

ALERT: This is NOT a 3-star Hotel Don’t be fooled by the Google listingThis is a hotel that was probably quaint 20 years ago

There have been some updates since then, but not much Things just got painted over when the rust bleeds through and that isn’t done regularlyThe room is large as it has an extra seating room, no question But I’m not sure I want to sit ON that couch (I was able to pickup a pizza crust that was left next to the couch if I’m hungry though) But if the alternative to the couch is sitting on the floor that has a rug from 1980 with so many stains that I am afraid to ask I might just standThe pillows are just barely adequate for a 2-star hotel, though the bed linens were clean and the bed was pleasant enough to sleep in I wasn’t disturbed overnightSo many of the reviews here talk about how friendly the staff is I will say that the staff at check-in was pleasant, but not terribly competent We weren’t in a rush and got to our room The morning desk clerk was simply rude when we asked about if a later check-out was possible I can accept the answer being no, but the answer came out before the question was even askedThe breakfast was adequate, but not impressive There were hot options (eggs, chorizo, tortillas, waffles)The price was less than another option in town, but I feel that it should be called out as the 2-star hotel that it is & recognized for being a mediocre one at that The next time I’m driving through, I will not be here

Location away from most busiest areas, but close enough to drive there This makes it a quiet, peaceful, restful, comfortable locationOur room was clean and comfortable

We requested a room with “no pets,no fleas, no smoking, and no bed bugs” Bed bugs are always a concern when renting rooms traveling The room we rented was very clean, nice, and comfortable The price was fair

Nick Culver

This is a basic business class hotel Nothing fancy Staff were friendly

I was glad that I was asked for floor preference before being assigned The hotel is clean and newer Good showers and toiletries I wish the business center wasn’t just a desktop computer set upon a shelf outside of the lobby It wouldn’t been nice to be tucked away a little and at a desk so I could sitThe wifi connectivity stability could be better, as I was timed out whenever I left the hotel or set my phone down for an hour or so They need to get this fixedThe towel racks in the bathroom are miserable I almost had to call the front desk to ask for towels until I realized they were way below the sink and out of visibility I think the location of this towel storage system will result in fallsI find Fairfield to have one of the poorest continental breakfasts in the business But at least they’re back to serving something…

Aldo De Leon

I want to thank the amazing staff at the Fairfield InnI was in Salina for a few days and stayed at the Fairfield The rooms were nice and clean

The bed was super comfortable and was able to get a good night sleepTo the nice lady at the front desk (Claudia) I really appreciated you for getting me something to eat from the kitchen when I showed up a little late for your morning breakfastI would definitely return here if I’m ever back in Salina

I wanted to say that Justin that works behind the desk is extremely nice Vanessa who is the manager is working extremely hard to keep costumers happy and I feel sorry for her The problem with this hotel is that the room was dirty and they don’t have the employees to help

The area where you take your dog to the bathroom is extremely good and pitch dark at night And you feel unsafe in the parking lot at night due to the lack of lighting Unfortunately I will not be returning to this hotel I feel sorry for the employees working there

Kerry Berger

I was a bit disappointed with our return stay at the Salina KS Best Western Plus, as the room we were initially placed into on the first floor was meant for handicapped customers, which we are not, and the walk in Shower as well as the bathroom sink had NO hot water The Front Desk immediately move us to an adjoining room that had hot water and the water pressure was great I appreciated the quick response of the staff, but from my understanding 3 weeks before when we drove up to Salina KS and stayed at the same location, and the staff changed our room immediately at check-in as they knew that there was something wrong with the hot water and were expecting a maintenance crew to come fix it

Management should always verify repairs to ensure that the appropriate repairs were properly completed before allowing another customer to use that particular roomAside from that everything else was good and there was plenty of breakfast in the morning

Dee Zentner

Not your average Best Western Plus Hotel, I’d say it’s half way in between the old Best Western’s and the new ones The bathroom was very dated and I did not need a handicap room But the worst thing was the humidity level in the room while running the AC

It was so wet in my room at arrival that when I pulled my covers back, my sheets were wet And what was even worse was that I had to cover up with a wet top sheet so I eventually turned on the heater (while it was still over 90°F outside) in hopes that it would dry out the room enough that I could get some sleep

We stayed here for one night The location was nice, just down the road from a few restaurants but one was connected to the hotel as well The staff was friendly for the most part

The pool here was nice, handicap friendly if you need it The room was like a suite, kitchen equipped and loved the house sized refrigerator Wish they had a bigger trash can is all Would stay here again if traveling through

I stayed here one night right before Christmas My power was out and it was too cold to stay home The reservation process was so easy and quick

The minute I walked into the hotel it was like walking into the Ritz/Carlton The tree was decorated so beautifully and the fireplace was going My room was fantastic! My bed was comfortable and clean I ordered a burger and fries from YaYa’s and it was divine! I can still taste those truffle fries I will make this my first choice when I need a hotel I was kinda sad when my power came back on I didn’t want to leave

Wow this place was incredible! Cyndi at the front desk was outstanding She helped me both before and during my stay and I truly appreciated it She was extremely attentive and very kind

She also had a trainee with her, Casey, who was lovely I often make trips on I-70 and will absolutely be staying here every time I come through Salina Yayas restaurant next door and Starbucks inside was a great touch I would’ve stayed longer if I had time! The entire place was gorgeous but Cyndi is really what made my stay amazing

Thankful they had an opening (without a reservation) after a long drive Hotel was clean, room was clean, beds comfy, bathroom clean No problem getting extra towels, standard is 2 per room

We did not use the indoor pool not hot tub Remember, it’s a budget hotel, we paid about $120 after taxes Check in staff person was VERY NICE Morning breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, diy pancakes, sausage gravy & biscuits, toast, apples & oranges, oatmeal packets, cereal, yogurtWished they would’ve had the standard fixings for oatmeal (raisins, almonds, cinnamon), additional fruit (bananas for cereal) & boiled eggs

Booked online a nonrefundable room for a 1 night stay with my husband We live in town and left our 3 kids at home with grandma for some alone time Since I had to enter my address when booking you would think some sort of notification would tell me about the $200 cash deposit required for in town guests

But no So we came and left to go pull out money since we couldn’t just cancel and go somewhere else It probably wouldn’t have bothered me so much if it wasn’t for the EXTREMELY RUDE CLERK! The suite we got was good size but was not very clean Stained carpets, couch, and bedding Bathroom was very “old” feeling with chipped paint and rusted metal And the non slip sticker thing in the shower was DISGUSTING! Absolutely do NOT recommend staying here

First impression, the outside looks rough due to construction but when walking inside the hotel was clean, smelled decent The room was also tidy and the bathroom looked very clean We almost went across the street to days inn but that hotel looked like it should have been by the hour motel instead

Things are out dated but it was clean and for a couple night stay it was perfect for my family

we stopped because there was a pool table advertised which was unavailable they charged us so many other fees and $20 per pet which is way too much for one night the air didn’t work at all and we had to sleep entirely naked still too sweaty

the point was to be comfortable and get rest and this ended up being the opposite i hope not to damage the brand but to suggest change please
