The only “not so great” thing I can say is the bed was a little on the firmer side for my liking but other than that it is one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at and we travel a lot Very clean rooms, very clean hotel inside and out and the breakfast was delicious Definitely the best breakfast we have had for a continental breakfast

Oh, and the staff are all so friendly and welcoming no matter what time it is I highly recommend this place!!!!

Susan Prisco Realtor

Nice location, staff was very friendly and room was cleanThey only offer housekeeping upon request which is fine but the price surely didn’t reflect that I thought a bit pricey for the area

But linens smelled clean and fresh and everything looked fairly new in the roomWe did have breakfast one morning of our stay and it was decent for an included breakfast Good selection of food and it was pretty tasty We did go just as they were closing so some items were gone but that is understandable since we were there 15 minutes prior to the end

I was the fifth person in a row to check in after driving a long way, waiting for a 1/2 hr + Front desk person was very good under pressure, pleasant from start to finish and kept reassuring me that she had a room We had a great breakfast to begin, but noticed the front desk area seemed to be a hangout

The person who checked us out was not nearly as pleasant as the older woman during check in

Linda Christian

The room was not as clean as I would have expected Infested with tiny black ants Room did not small clean and the carpet felt damp to me

The windows were filthyThe breakfast was not good at all Muffins tasted like perfume Couldnt eat themWe have stayed here in the past and were very pleased Price increased substantially and the quality decreased substantially Will not be making this stop in the future

This hotel is new The location is perfect, easy access to highways and restaurants (walking distance), and parks The room was very comfortable and clean

Loved the fact there was no waste with shampoo, lotion, soap, etc Quiet evenings and wonderful patio overlooking a stream out backvery relaxing after a work day The staff were helpful and kind, breakfast was good (I only do yogurt but hot items looked tasty), and good selection of items in little store (beer, wine too) Was really nice to have such a clean lobby with comfortable seating to work outside of room Overall, I wish every TRU was as nice as this place, highly recommend!

Stacey Rockwell

Place is fairly new, very clean, comfy rooms Love the location Breakfast was good

All of the staff were great team members, except for the manager (Karen), she was very rude and not accommodating to our needs at all Sad to say, but even the corporate offices stated she was rude We did finally get satisfaction after calling corporate a few times Kudos to everyone except Karen! Would stay here again

Jim Adair

Everything was very new with cute slogans and color schemes, but Very small rooms with sparse furnishings

Bed was mediocre, new but fairly stiff with a pillow top, not overly comfortable Thermostat was easy to operate unless you wanted to know the actual temp in the room, that was not available so you had to keep adjusting to get the temp right None of this would have been bad except for the cost of the room Way overpriced for what you get, especially for a Hilton branded hotel Hampton has better beds, bigger rooms for less money

This was the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had We booked online and arrived very tired around 9pm We were told our reservation was given away

Despite our confirmation number/booking receipt we were turned away! After several calls and much time we were told we would still be charged because we didn’t cancel 24 hours ahead After more calls the next day they finally agreed to not charge us for giving away our rooms Buyer beware Call ahead to make sure you still have a room!

I forgot to get room photos, but the room (right down to trash cans) was neat and clean The bathroom was clean, right down to the little cirners where walls meet tub & walls meet floor Since we now travel with pups, I was also happy the pet friendly room did not smell like animals

The girl at the front desk for check-in was friendly and helpful Very welcome, after a full day of drivingAs we are new to traveling with pups, I was also impressed that they provide a station with waste disposal bags and a special trash receptacle for said bags once used Maybe this is common – but as I said, we’re new to pet travelThere was not a wheelchair accessible room available that was pet friendly, so we asked for a 1st floor room Even though technically not ADA, there was plenty of room for our daughter’s wheelchair I also appreciate that the beds are taller – much easier when lifting & caring for my daughterThe breakfast area was well kept, and most of the food was delicious I did note that even at 6:15am the eggs looked like they had been sitting for an hour, and were dark on top That being said, when a fresh batch was brought out, they were deliciousThe only part of this stay that was not quite up to par was the night clerk She was nice enough, but when no one was near she was on her cell phone on an obviously personal call, and a few times let out some language (mostly b sh) She would set the phone down when a guest came near, and resume conversation when the guest left (I overheard because I was reading, and she probably forgot I was there)As for location, it is right off the highway Super convenientWe will definitely stay here again, as we travel along 81 2 or 3 times a year

We arrived to the location and had to sit in the lobby for 15 minutes to wait for our room to be ready Once we got to the room We saw that there was someone else’s hair on the mattress

The person at the desk gave us new sheets immediately after we showed him the hair We had to strip the bed down and put the new sheets on But once we stripped the sheets WE SAW A BIG YELLOW STAIN ON THE MATTRESS Room also smelled moldy I have pictures to to prove that I felt like we were ripped off because we had to stop by somewhere to sleep for the night and no one called me back to resolve the matter We showed the front desk people the photos to and reported the incident immediately I would rather sleep in my car then spend the night here

We did not stay here We drove up to inquire about their rates and to see a room because we were with our baby and small dogThe lady was nice when we arrived

However when I asked to see a room, she wasn’t very friendly suddenly She said there would be an extra charge for our small dogThe room was a good size but had a musky smell, so I politely thanked her and said we would think about it

I stayed here off and on for a couple months due to business and overall really enjoyed my stay The workers were always friendly and pleasant, everyone from front desk staff to housekeeping to the lovely women who runs the breakfast Breakfast was great and always hot with lots of options

I found the beds to be very comfortable! Loved the updated modern design and decor

Mary Kate Blankenship

First I’d like to start by saying, I’ve stayed at almost every hotel in Chambersburg This is by FAR the best hotel in town The staff really make the difference

Super kind and eager to please! Very clean and tidy hotel! I am grateful to stay here at the LaQuinta! The Indoor pool is wonderful and clean and the morning breakfast and coffee are superior! Stay here rather than any other hotel in town, you’ll be glad you did

Phil M (Race City Retro)

FILTHY is the best word to describe this hotel! No A/C in the lobby or sweltering hot halls The rooms look like they get cleaned once a month Dirty windows, dirty TV screen, sticky remote control, the bathroom floor corners were piled with dirt and dead bugs, the carpet looks like it never met a vacuum I could just go on and on AND ON

Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!

This was a very nice Marriott located next to the college Has an indoor pool and a hot tubAlso has The Bistro which has limited hours mostly for breakfast and dinner

Nice dining area with lots of seating Best hamburgers ever! The rooms were clean Bathrooms clean Our room overlooked the college’s athletic fields There are two spots for electric cars Firepit on the patio off the dining and lounge areas There is a full service bar in The Bistro Guest laundry Business Center There is a Market Place off the lobby which was well stocked, even beer and wine The only negative are the beds For me, they are too soft if you have back problems Other than that everything was great

KindnezMaterz

Welcoming entry way with amenities such as wifi lounge, bar, vending machines We were greeted pleasantly Room is spacious, clean and comfortable – we had a two queen suite

The courtyard is lovely I’ll admit I’m disappointed in the pool area, it’s smaller than it appears in the photos, the hot tub was empty, and there is a sign posted that says no jumping (ok) or playing (um it’s a recreation area!)

If you are looking for a quiet beautiful comfortable room away from the hustle and bustle I highly recommend it The room was clean, very beautiful, and was so relaxing and stress free The mansion itself is so beautiful and the property was very beautiful

They have a short nature trail and a beautiful stream that is very peaceful and relaxing The bed was wonderful and relaxing and the breakfast was amazing! Egg and ham casserole, a fruit and granola parfait, yummy chocolate muffins, juice, rich dark coffee, and all the extras If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet, peaceful place to stay and relax I highly recommend it And last but certainly not least the owners are wonderful and friendly!

Beautiful place to stay with a very friendly host family They did very well preserving the feel of the old house, and know a lot about the history Fun little nature walks outside, even though it needs a little upkeep

Breakfast was delicious, and it’s really fun to interact with other guests Very easy to reach from the interstate and very close to Chambersburg I would highly recommend the place

Zachary Garbarino

Barb was the most wonderful host I was given a free upgrade, to a larger room (Mrs Kennedy’s), when I arrived

The space is stunning and the original charm is still present throughout the home At 7am I enjoyed tea while watching the sunrise over the creek I then used the in-room steam shower and prepared for the day Afterwards I was treated to the most delicious breakfast I cannot say enough about The Inn at Ragged Edge This place will not disappoint you The owners passion for the property is present from the moment first say ‘hello’ Thank you for the great stay!

Our house had caught on fire and now we can’t stay there until it is repaired We have none of our stuff Everything is up in the air for us and our family and school starts in less than a week

The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and helpful They were understanding and very caring They even tried to find discounts because of the situation knowing that every dollar helps The girl that checked us in had even gave us names of places that might help with our situation and needs The room was very clean They have Dove soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and things in the shower to use if you don’t have anything to use The breakfast is really good The staff is very friendly She was wonderful and we will go back if we ever need too If you need to stay in the area, this hotel is wonderful I would recommend this to my grandmother if she were still here

Joanne Holmes

If I could give it zero stars I would There were people in the parking lot when I arrived They watched me as I got out of my truck and then when I had checked in I walked out and they were around my truck

I was very uncomfortable and felt threatened I didn’t stay and the manager refused to give me a refund even though I never went inside the hotel I will never stay at another Holiday Inn Express If anyone is planning to stay at this hotel, DON’T!

A beautiful house We loved our stay Every room was charming and perfectly furnished

We enjoyed sitting on the porch Exploring the books in the library Sitting in the parlor Playing a game of pool AND eating a delicious breakfast Emily gave us a great tour of the house and explained the history of the house We will be back Thank you so much, Emily!

Eric Coloney

We are a couple in our early 70’s and well-traveled including internationally We prefer and enjoy B&B’s as they are often unique and interesting and have enjoyable owners Emily’s B&B was no exception and an absolute joy to experience

She takes great pride in being a hostess We spent 4 nights as her guests We were able to tour all 8 rooms and found them interesting, spacious, clean and well appointed Breakfast was wonderfully cooked to order each morning The property was built approx 1880 and comes with some interesting history We have family in the area and know we’ll return to Craig Manor on return visits Thank you, Emily!!

ERIC GRAVEN

We were pleasantly surprised upon entering the Craig Manor Greeted by the Hostess, Emily, she showed us the beautiful woodwork that originated in this late 1800’s home of the Craig’s A quick tour to our rooms for a family weekend celebration, we were greeted with large rooms that were period correct with all the modern amenities

The beds were quite comfortable, with plenty of linens and everything you could ask for in the bathrooms (in case you forgot something) Coffee and snacks were available 24 hours a day, and the pool table attracted the younger guests for a bitThe next morning, we were treated to an exquisite breakfast with natural food selections such as fresh berries, pure maple syrup, served along with French Toast and perfectly prepared bacon, along with loads of juices and coffee Once again, Emily was there to assure that we received a Kings banquet and experienceWe often come to visit family in Chambersburg, and we all decided that this was the place we would all get together from now on
