Hilton is always the best I stay with them whenever I travel …if there is a Hilton in town

Beds are comfy Pillows are great Always cleanSince Covid even their restaurants are coming back on line…many were closed during the pandemic We ate here last night and it was great They have a bar too At check in we we’re given a buy one get one free coupon for the bar Sweet! They have nice outside seating if you choose to eat outside We have our pet with us so we ate outside They are usually also pet friendly They also have a pool and hot tub Great stayLove Hilton hotel chains❤️❤️❤️Addendum: So we ate dinner again tonight at the restaurant The margaritas were so sweet we didn’t drink them The pepperoni pizza we ordered we could not find any pepperoni We asked the waiter and he said yea it’s in this half We had ordered half with and without We eventually sent the pizza back because we had no clue where the pepperoni was I am vegetarian and didn’t want to eat pepperoni that might be under the cheese Later the same waiter told us “ oh we’re out of pepperoni There was not any pepperoni on the pizza”We ended up boxing up the salad and asking them to remove the pizza and sugary margaritas from the billThe worst dinner experience I have ever had at a Hilton in my 20 plus years of staying at Hilton’s I should have lowered the stars furtherWAY BELOW THE STANDARDS OF HILTON

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! (Review 5/18/22) This hotel is the worst Hilton I have ever stayed I checked in and went up to our room

Trash was piled up outside of the rooms into the hallway The room was very dirty Hairs everywhere in the bathroom and on blankets There was food inside the pull out couch when I pulled out It smelled awful I didn’t want to take off my shoes It was a dump I brought my child to the pool hoping this would reset the experience NOPE She fell and got hurt within minutes of arriving The pool was dirty There was hair everywhere in the drains I checked out and demanded my money back I did get the return I checked into the ClubHouse hotel and this was an AMAZING experience GO THERERUN! DON’T WALK!!!

Stay away Negative stars for poor customer service from the front desk/managementDiamond member, reserved a room 3 weeks ago specifically with a baby bed as we would be traveling with a 6 month old

Waited for 10 minutes at the front desk upon arrival as no one was working it Husband finally walked in to the back of the desk and someone came out No greeting, no “sorry for the wait” Just “last name” Then handed us a keyGot to the room and of course no baby bed Try to call down and the phones at the front desk, house keeping, and restaurant all had busy signals As in they had clearly been taken off the hookHusband walks down, and front desk says “you didn’t book a crib and we probably don’t have one, we will send one up if we have one”Of course a crib was not sent upCalled Hilton customer service line and they said they would call the manager They did, and of course it WAS listed on our reservation to have a crib, the manager said they “over looked it”We still have never spoken to the manager! Never received even an apologyHilton refunded us the room and told us we could go buy a pack n play ourselves and they would refund us the costFunny you would think the manager who boggled the reservation would offer to go out and do it themselves but instead we are out at 10 pm trying to find one10/10 for Hilton taking care of what the local branch didn’tHiding in the back leaving the front desk unmanned all night and being rude to customers is a weird look for a hospitality worker

Though, I have stayed here in the past I was disappointed with my last stay! I booked a 2 night stay for a total of $518 dollars online Upon arrival, they tried to charge me 20% on top of the $518 bringing the total to $721, which is more than 20%! I was told 20% is for snacks and liabilities

So, my card was declined, because I only anticipated paying $518 and they couldn’t except cash! I never had this problem in the past! So, instead of staying 2 nights, we only stayed 1 night What really disappointed me the most is the up keep of room #130 The front door looked like it had been broken into in the past! When entering or leaving this room you really had to pull or push this door to make sure it was closed! It was off centered and you could see the damage on the outside were someone tried to pry the door open in the past! The bedroom had stains on the ceiling from what appeared to be a previous water leakThere were cobwebs in the corner The trimming on the wall was loose and hanging The furniture in this room definitely needs an upgrade! It had multiple stains and appeared to be worn down Then, there was also a problem with the toilet and I had to call maintenance!Never, had this problem in the past! And for the price, this room was definitely not worth the money! I decided to make this my last stay! 👎

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! My dad booked two rooms Their room was fine Mine was horrible

First the AC barely worked When we got into the room 321 it was 87 degrees We turned the AC down to 70 Didn’t do anything for a few hours Finally we cranked it down to 65 and by 7am the temp finally went down to 79 degrees Which is still awful I got a grand total of an hour of sleep after a 16 hour drive We stayed at a hotel because I had to turn around and drive another 16 hours This is going to be lovely!! When we told the front desk about the AC they didn’t apologize, offer another room, etc Hell, they didn’t even offer the room at a discounted rate Also, nothing in the room was stocked up The coffee creamer was solid/ chunky I had to go downstairs to get creamer that wasn’t expired Also, told the lady at the front desk about this as well and she stated, “well you came downstairs and got some” Not the point And lastly, my dad is military He served 30 years and they wouldn’t honor their military discount I have never experienced such awful customer service We will never book here again If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would You don’t deserve even 1 star

I loved the staff here at the hotel, the bartenders were so sweet and so funny The drinks were amazing too and the vibe at the bar is really upbeat and fun I ordered a to go order and it wasn’t great but the customer service made up for what the food lacked

I would suggest going to the restaurants around the hotel but for a couple of drinks and good conversation the bar is definitely the place to go

Devon C

A hotel in summer must have working air conditioning Very hard to sleep in hot stuffy rooms that do not have windows that open and very poor/ nonexistent air conditioningStaff was friendly, and tried to help

Nice location Nice rooms Might try them again, but not in the summerWe stayed as part of a large group and some rooms did have decent A/C, but several/most did notAte breakfast buffet once Everything was room temperature Did not get my money’s worth, as cold biscuits n gravy kinda spoils the appetite and it is nice if the butter attempts to melt on your French toastThe made to order omelet was hot, if a bit overcooked, but not bad

Jeremy Hannah

Let’s start with the good The hotel is worth staying at for 2 reasons The customer service was really good and the bar area had good food and good drinks

Servers were great Now for the bad Let me say this was my experience and does not necessarily mean you should not stay here It’s centrally located and nice bars near by The first room they gave me was horrible, handicapped room , smelled mold and sewage and dirty Room located above trash compactor and at corner of building next to busy street When the bars let out it was horrible You can hear every car Second room the cleaning was incomplete Dirty custodian towel let behind and someone’s cell phone There was a huge I mean huge crack in the ceiling that felt very unsafe3rd room was much better , shown below I’d stay here again but never on the lower floors on the East side of the building Stay higher floors and no handicapped rooms unless you need it! Finally I will say again the customer service was good they refunded hotel fees and gave me enough vouchers for the bar and restaurant that I basically ate free each night Well not free but close So that made up for it

We recently hosted an event at the hotel with less than 50 people The staff, the location and the facilities were excellentThe event staff worked with our vendors to make sure everything was delivered and setup on time

They were able to flip the event from an outdoor event to indoors with very little fuss (Even the hotel can’t control the weather)The hotel staff was able to accommodate all the out of town guests and all their various needs even able to keep up with shifting schedules Every staff members was friendly and very accommodating Everything was clean, and in good repairI would give them 10 out of 5 stars We know where we will be hosting our next event

Very nice hotel Looks like it may have been the place to stay in its hay day The lobby are is really nice with high end finishes

The pool is great for younger kids, it goes from 1-3 feet A little shallow for adults, but we had several children that loved it I did use the water slide and the hot tub though Breakfast had a good selection and was delicious The rooms are also nice My only complaint, which seemed to be everyplace we stayed in SD, is that the pillows for the beds are small They are the size of throw pillows for a couch I’m a pretty big person, and the fell a bit flat for support Maybe that’s the way hotels are going, but I had a hard time with these types of pillows I was able to get a full size one from the bag of extra bedding for the pull out bed Would still recommend the hotel and would stay again

Kristen Landwehr

This hotel was amazing! I love the ClubHouse brand They had a great breakfast with coffee available all day We could have s’mores and a bonfire at night time

There was a complimentary option to rent bikes and the bike path runs right behind the hotel The staff were friendly and helpful We brought our dog and the room we were in had an outdoor patio to walk out and let the dog outside on the first floor I would definitely recommend staying here for your next trip to Sioux Falls, SD

Hotel is nice, close to everything Rooms are clean and have plenty of what you need I am taking a star away for the language carts

The carts are almost impossible to move around I spent a good amount of time taking it to the room, you need two people and all hands on deck to move them It felt like pushing a heavy grocery cart that only has 3 wheels and all three are bad Moving the cart in and out of the hotel, even with the nice room and breakfast, ruined my whole experience in this hotel When we were leaving the room there was another older couple struggling to get to their room with their cart Will not come back unless the carts are upgraded The price of this hotel per night is definitely worth a better experience If you don’t need a language cart you may have a better experience

The service here was outstanding! My husband had a medical emergency the evening of our stay Hannah called 911 for us She kept her calm, was very professional, as well as, kind and caring

Having this happen when we were far from home was scary, and she really helped us Both Zane and Allison were supportive and encouragingThe room was very nice Bed and pillows were comfortable Shower was clean The hot breakfast was deliciousThanks again!

Amanda Blomenkamp

Rooms are clean and nice, beds are hard as a board Hotel staff and management are absolutely terrible The worst I’ve ever experienced in my travels

They are unprofessional and rude If you bring something up to them they will literally laugh at you This hotel was a designated hotel for our team for a tournament, if we’re ever assigned here again, I’ll stay elsewhere Do NOT bring your team or group to this place The manager even told one of our group members that she wasn’t taking complaint phone calls from anyone this week Isn’t that part of her job? They will threaten to kick you out for any noise, even during daytime hours I could go on and on

I’m upset I’ve stayed in a lot of really nice 3/4 star hotels throughout the southern US you know, 200 a night, high end bar inside, high quality room service, etc etc

The first thing I noticed was how pleasant the hotel smells I felt like I walked into a bed bath, except it wasn’t overpowering It was just pleasant The woman at the front desk was incredibly niceThe bathtub was shockingly ergonomic Most bathtubs really aren’t designed for you to go neck deep… or at least not for taller people (I’m 6’2, 6’4 on tinder) The bathtub seemed to cradle me no matter how much I slid in Presumably it’s more comfortable for shorter people Anyway, it was almost on par with being in a nice hot tubThe bed was perfect firmness The pillows are actually good Most of the time I have to ditch hotel pillows and bring my own in I’m a picky sleeper, so this may be personal preference The sheets felt amazing The sheets felt undeniably clean on my skinThis isn’t the “nicest hotel” I’ve stayed in But it’s undeniably the best in terms of hitting all my buttons perfectly I view it like this:Your mothers cooking vs a high end steakhouse Alternatively, your significant other vs your celebrity crush

I stayed for 10 days for work I travel a lot for work I will never stay in a different hotel chain again if I can help it

I absolutely love everything about this hotel They are doing it right! The thought put into the details for your stay makes it feel like a home away from home That’s really important to me Free laundry, dishes and cooking utensils on hand Full fridge, microwave, stove top and if you need a box fan just ask the front desk I’ve stayed in 3 candlewood suites since this one and so far south dakota is my favorite

This hotel has pet hair EVERYWHERE and smells terrible All of the sheets, even new ones have pet hair Both rooms I got on the third floor smelled so bad I couldn’t sleep

My son has allergies to cats and was itching as soon as we checked in The lady working told us no cats were allowed, yet we spotted one In the window of someone’s room the next day The smell from the vents is a mix of unclean cat and dog odors I was also told the second room I was checked into was just deep cleaned but the sheets smelled bad and the shower was not clean I booked this hotel mainly for a the cleanliness score I saw The cleanliness reviews are not true in my opinion though I’ve stayed at 6 different hotels in Sioux Falls over the Summer and this was by far the dirtiest, lowest end with the least amenities It wasn’t just my two rooms that were not clean as another guest I met in the hallway going to buy Lysol wipes because she said her room didn’t appear clean and another gentleman on my floor was having a sneezing fit complaining about not being able to breathe in his hotel room The morning manager said it’s pet friendly and the Hairs/smells are probably coming from the unclean vents, gross Most hotels are pet friendly, pet friendly shouldn’t mean Stinky, dirty sheets and covered in hairs I spent $1,000 to stay in this filth for a week I’m awake writing this in the middle of the night bc the smell from the ac vents/sheets and itchiness this Place gives me Don’t make the same mistake! ( see picture of cat in window from the “no cats in here” hotel that doesn’t care if people are allergic)

Staffing was very friendly and nice from the moment we walked in However the suite that we stayed in was really hot We have 2 dogs reason why we got a suite so they could be able to walk and stretch from our long car ride

Don’t know what is better leaving them in the car with the AC on or leaving them in the hotel room with the AC “on”

Paid $160 for a single queen room, which was worth it for the quality and convenience, since I had a 5:45 am flight and was supposed to be there at 4:15 The bed was comfortable, the room was super clean and very modern There was a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge, if you need those

Bathroom is generously sized and the shower had good pressure and a good nozzleKind of a weird thing to add, but when traveling, a good shower is a top priority to me 😁

Kristina Johnson

I made a reservation prior to arrival Upon arrival the lady at the front desk was super rude to us! We got checked in, went to park our car and came back in to our room to find garbage all over the floor, it had not been swept and there was dirty laundry on the floor I took photos of the room and went back down to the front desk to the rude women and showed her asking for another, clean room this time

The breakfast in the morning is nothing great, bagel, yogurt and muffin Honestly the only good thing about this hotel is it’s attached to the airport I would never stay here again For a $162 including the military discount you can definitely find something better!!!

ButterCream KittenSupreme

Dump Garbage Parking was a joke

Girl at the desk was about as helpful as a house plant The bedding was basically papertowel, and didn’t fit the beds Room wasn’t vacuumed, found dried apples and pistachio shells everywhere Shower door didn’t close all the way so the bathroom became a swamp Breakfast was a smashed muffin or a smashed granola bar Find a different hotel This was the first stop of a 10 night trip, luckily the rest of our SD vacation was much better It is connected to the airport, and you have to use the long term airport parking, which is a mile from the hotel, and once parked, you can’t leave unless you want to pay for parking It’s just a dumb set up Good for those who are just taking a nap between flights, but terrible for anyone hoping to explore Sioux Falls for an evening Multiple other guests that we met in the lobby were having the same issues as us

The breakfast is good and rooms are cleanAll the doors are loud when someone is closing the doorsWhen the wrestling state tournament is going on few weeks ago

The people representing Willow/ Clark Lake? If I got that right The wrestlers and their visitors are so loud and kids running out of the rooms and in hallways Even during the quiet hours they were still loud I address this to the front desk clerk Nothing has been resolved I emailed the hotel manager, still no responseThey lost their good customers of two years I will stay somewhere else

Nicole Siedschlaw

Wanted to set alarm but it didn’t work Went to call front desk and there was no phone cord The check-in gal had zero personality and zero hospitality and zero customer service

Called front desk from my personal phone and told front desk Terry about the alarm clock and the phone and he didn’t even apologize or offer anyThe only plus for this motel besides convenience was the Dove soap F+

Thomas Graspo

So, I guess we’ll start with my disappointments 1 the bed was a little squeaky a little hard for my liking, I’m not sure why the Holiday Inn brand can’t get a consistent bed throughout the chain some places have great fed some places have the older pads that are little Moore Farm then I care for

second, is the workout room treadmills don’t work very well I look forward to a good run every morning help keep me in shape because I’m on the road 200 + nights of year Get those pics that give you five stars Other than that breakfast is great locations good pillows are awesome oh, best shower pressure I’ve had 2 weeks

Location of the hotel is perfect for all your downtown events and shopping The beds are amazing and rooms are quiet After all, we come to sleep! The history of the building and unique interiorMakes it unlike the rest

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish Check-in staff were so friendly and helpful Room was spotlessly clean, very modern, and extremely spacious

Bed was SO COMFORTABLE Hotel was very quiet and calm at night, so it was easy to get a good rest I was sad we weren’t staying longer We’re already looking for excuses to go back to Sioux Falls just so we can stay here again

Scott Baker

My wife and I spent two days at this hotel, I know there are a bunch of positive reviews and one more may not make that big of a difference but, this place is absolutely fabulous Every single person we spoke to was really nice and I felt like everybody genuinely wanted to help us have a great weekend We were toting along with us a giant tandem bicycle that they allowed us to store in the garage below the hotel at no cost

The hotel is directly on the bike trail and we had a great time cycling through the city and it was great not to worry about the bike when we are at the hotel I also left a review on the bar in the lobby, it’s really cool and they made great drinks If you’re looking for a weekend getaway, this is the place to go We don’t get to Sioux Falls often but, when we do… This will be our place Very well done!

The manager found 1 room down the street that they said they would pay for They NEVER paid for it At 11pm at night they discovered they had one room that someone checked into but never checked out of It was the nastiest room I’ve ever stepped foot in It reeked of cigarettes, cigarette ash everywhere, dirty clothes under the sink, NASTY We were given a business card for 1 night comped which I just tried to use and the manager would not honor it Don’t ever stay here Continues to be terribly run

Traveled with family and our pup We always have A hard time finding places to stay with a dog However all the my place hotels we’ve stayed at have been awesome for pet families

I would recommend them to anyone! This was our fourth my place location and it was super clean and reasonably priced ($15 extra for small dog) The beds and pillows were comfy We stayed one night and got in late so we didn’t get to explore much and left without the breakfast Great location and no issues

The hotel was clean and check in was a breeze The room was pretty standard nothing special Our stay was for medical purposes so we left before breakfast and didn’t use the pool or anything

I feel the price is a bit high for what you get though My personal preference for a bed is something on the softer side and these beds were pretty firm The pillows were also very soft and didn’t offer much in the way of support In the future, I will likely book somewhere else if staying in Sioux Falls

Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds and good views The staff here is so nice Everyone I encountered was super friendly/helpful and patient with my kids

Very family friendly One of the gentleman, overnight front desk workers was very kind to my son, who can be a handful, lol The woman who does breakfast was awesome too Thank you for a great stay ❤️

I was very impressed by this hotel! I read so many great reviews before I booked TripAdvisor had this hotel ranked #1 in the city, which surprised me because I never thought of the Comfort Inn line of hotels as special I was wrong, this is the finest hotel I’ve ever stayed at that was less than $140 per night

The rooms are spectacular and VERY clean The flooring is beautiful in entry way and bathroom, and the shower is nice as well My only wish is that the shower had more water pressure, but that’s not a big deal The pool and hot tub were very nice as well! Don’t spend $200-300 per night in other places! Save some money and get a better stay here! I will always use this hotel in Sioux Falls!

Honestly, loved this hotel I rented a King Suite, and the bed was super comfortable, the a/c got super cold, the shower was good pressure and nice and hot

wifi worked well Breakfast was hot too, biscuits and gravy, sausage links and eggs I kind of felt like princess and the pea throughout the night trying to pick which pillow I liked best I would absolutely stay here again

We found Cockroaches in our room 3 alive, one dead We told the front desk and she accused us of lying about it

We grabbed a ziplock from our car, caught a live one a brought it to her Then she accused of if finding the cockroach outside! Lol After she accused me and my children of lying, she reluctantly offered to switch rooms We obliged but then we found trash, on the mattress, from the last guest, on bed The sheets weren’t even changed Very dirty all around Carpets stained, musty smells, outdated, rude staff and bugs ( looked like cockroaches) I forgot to mention that the front desk lady accused of being “suspicious” bc we inquired about bed bug reviews we had read Worst customer service, ever! My kids were tired and this was a huge inconvenience If you’re in Sioux Falls area I can’t recommend this hotel but I highly recommend Comfort Inn and Suites in Avera We spent a week there and the rooms were clean, no bugs and their employees are very very kind too

The pros: very clean, great staff, great shower head and water pressure, and constant fan option on AC Price also very affordableCons: not much around it and my room was needing a new mattress

I was able to check-in via the app, as I usually do I was too tired to do in person, as I usually do (to see if I’m able to get a room upgrade) No complaints regarding the room, much

Comfortable and clean room with a very nice view of the Big Sioux River and bike trail—great for people watching and viewing the sunset Fantastic area for a stroll after dinner; the Arc of Dreams is just a few steps away and Falls Park is about a mile walk Many families around, so it feels fairly safeStaff at front desk was friendly Didn’t interact much this time Crave is the name of the restaurant on site Have my review of it elsewhere; great food and service Starbucks is on site, as well The gym, although small, fully functional and clean A big plus: free parkingMy room was a connecting room I slept well but was awaken by my neighbors about 1am Cursing and being loud Woman screaming, man asking her to calm down This lasted a good solid 20 minutes, as I attempted to go back to sleep I was about to call front desk, but chose not to, due to fear of retaliation later (solo female traveler here) Eventually went back to sleep, but woke up groggy Morning had a bit of the outside noise with construction and horn of a train(s)—but didn’t bother me as much as my neighborsAll in all, if it weren’t for the unruly neighbors, it would’ve been a more-than-pleasant stay

Great view of the river Right next to the river walk area Crave was downstairs

I definitely liked the Ambiance of it Real nice vibe I ordered the Chicken Wings, which weren’t really your typical chicken wings All parts connected, had to tear apart yourself Definitely not a fan of that mess The wings tasted good, just didn’t like having to fight with it, and you really can’t eat the winged tip anyway Next time I’ll just order the Steak

This was a mother / daughter weekend The hotel was centrally located and convenient to so much in the downtown area Walking distance to several restaurants and boutiques

The staff are professional and they offer room service The crave restaurant is nice with a full bar and a wide variety of food including sushi!!We had a river view room with queen beds (306) and they were comfy The Starbucks was definitely a plus tooI would definitely recommend this hotel

Overall very quality clean rooms With nice decor and comfortable rooms In fact on the trip I opted to sleep in the bathtub because the people I was traveling with for a school trip would not go to sleep

I went to the front desk and asked for a queen comforter and a pillow The lady was accommodating and I slept perfectly The pool was amazing too Very large, and not too much chlorine Breakfast in the morning was niceThe design of the hotel was very nice as well, and I appreciate interior design

If you have business in Tea SD, this is the place to stay Friendly staff, clean & nice rooms Quiet

Breakfast was typical of this level hotel, decent, but quite basic My only complaint is simply the bath soap they provide The worst I’ve ever experienced! And they do not provide the rooms with shampoo, unlike most other “better” hotels So up your personal care products GrandStay, and you’ll clean up with travelers

Danielle Toldness

We stayed in room 116, which is a king room, for 1 night and the room was immaculately clean Upon arrival and when booking the room, the front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming The hotel was very quiet and clean, especially since they are pet friendly, I have a dog with a very strong sense of smell and she did no sniffing around the room

My only complaint is that the parking is very limited, we have a very small tow behind trailer and almost had nowhere to park There is a restaurant with an ajoining parking lot and while looking for a spot to park, I noticed that some of their customers were using the hotel parking lot The breakfast also was not stocked well Breakfast is bewteen 6 and 10, i went for breakfast at 7 and my boyfriend went at 9 and it was understocked both times My total bill was $189 with my pet fee and for the quality I would definitely stay here again!
