We went for an anniversary trip Overall enjoyed the stay and the room The tub/shower could be updated but all staff was nice and friendly with one exception

The stars rating is because my room wad paid in advance bit the lady that checked me in charged my card twice upto $1000 she seemed very unconcerned when I called from the room when I got the alert Please use a prepaid card or something

Cindy T

Nice little suite with ample space The bed however is the reason for the low score The mattress definitely needs to be replaced

We were so worn out from traveling that at first the bed seemed good, but after lying on it awhile I felt springs poking my side This caused a bit of tossing and turning The free breakfast was edible but I’d recommend just getting breakfast elsewhere

Sandy Schilleci

It was a beautiful room however the ceiling light was out and washer and dryers only accepted cards I got a notification that $32 and change was changed to my card I called front desk and was told just in case the room was it’s been a week now and still money hasn’t been put back on my card Also when leaving ask where breakfast was and the lady looked at us like we were stupid and acted like older woman with a attitude like she hated her job Then quit and nice people don’t have to talk about you Your in the service industry your supposed to smile

And be nice then talk about them when they leave

I stayed here for 23 nights as I was moving to Slidell I kinda didn’t want to check out when my new place was ready First, the staff

All were very welcoming and helpful Acknowledged my loyalty etc The lady that checked me in was an angel! She gave me some helpful local hints in terms of living, food, and shopping Breakfast every morning was great It changes each day and the times are a bit limited, but the cheese omelettes were ON POINT! Not to mention the 24/7 complimentary coffee Rooms were fresh and the bed was comfortable WIFI was probably the fastest I’ve had in a hotel All around a great overall experience Only thing I would suggest is having a bill changer for the laundry equipment Otherwise, it was a perfect 23 nights

Molly Cameron

Amazing hotel and staff Mary was so accommodating and helpful to us She helped us get a handicap room, told us some amazing restaurants to eat at and just all around was a phenomenal host

If we ever travel through again we will most definitely stay with this hotel again Clean rooms, perfect little pool for our kids to play in, and awesome breakfast! Waffles, eggs, gravy and biscuits were delicious

Richelle Urenda

I did not stay here, and will not in the future The booking site said I could reschedule my business trip with no fees and the amounts would be the same The Hotel responded by email they could not accommodate the change the dates due to availability, but there was availability according to their site

When I called, the man who answered was very rude and said there were fees for changing the dates because it was through a third-party site However, there were no charges to show on my end Poor customer service and now I have to dispute with my credit card company

The room was awesome Very comfortable bed and the room was really spacious The room had a nice size fridge for a hotel room, a dishwasher, stovetop and sink and was well stocked with dishes etc to be able to eat in the room

The common areas (lobby, eating area, etc) were also very clean and welcoming Location is good-as it’s rights off the 10 by only a few blocks And it’s across the street from numerous restaurants and shopsOnly reason why I gave a 4star instead of 5 was for two reasons When I checked in I waited about 10 mins at the front desk before I finally had to track down the front desk person who was outside on the patio having a smoke break-no one was up front at all A few people sitting in the lobby area said she’d been out there for about 15-20 mins already And secondly, we have two small dogs with us and they charged me a $100 pet fee which was ridiculous as we only stayed one night We had gotten a free room using our points so that sucked that we had to pay so much for our pups Also wanted to buy some milk out of the fridge in the lobby and was told by the same smoke-break employee that she didn’t have the key and I couldn’t get it until breakfast?!really?

Miranda Houston

Upon arrival, the front desk attendant was very friendly and prompt with checkin We got to our room & found several dead bugs My husband took a photo and showed the attendant at the front desk

She apologized and put us in a different room We moved our belongings to the 2nd room and left for dinner When we got back, we couldn’t access our room due to the door lock being dead We went to the front desk again & she came up to try to get us in She wasn’t able to, so she called maintenance & told us it would be 5 minutes 57 minutes later, maintenance arrived & was able to let us in After driving 7 hours…tired & irritated is an understatement

C Jordan

Very nice front desk person at check-in Lobby was fresh and clean We booked a double queen room

We were also traveling with a small dog The pet fee is $100, not happy about that for just one night Pet fees have gone up exponentially since start of covid Room was on third floor Carpet in areas of hallway was in need of attention But I guess to be expected with peoples’ luggage and rolling cartsVery very comfortable beds! Have stayed 11 nights in hotels since October and the beds were most comfortable by farCould hear some highway noise, but I always travel with earplugsOnly comment would be bathroom was small for two people to share Shower was nice with good water pressureBreakfast didn’t appeal to us so we got on the roadDid notice nice gas fire pit and lounge area in front as you enter hotel if you are staying long enough to enjoy this amenity

My overall stay was amazing!! The front desk staff Brenda and Rickie are amazing!! I the room was very clean and inviting Honestly, even if there was a small issue with the room, the staff make it all worth the stay I only interacted with the night staff and they were so helpful and when asked something or approached with something they would stop everything and make you feel like a priority and so friendly!

Macy Vasquez

Brenda is why it’s excellent! She is an Angel and Life saver After driving 9 hours Before coming to this hotel we previously booked 2 OTHER hotels that were Disgusting

Finally finding this place we where greeted by her beautiful smile and kindness Showing remorse with our pervious experiences she made sure to make this one of the best Rooms are clean, staff is amazing, good priced, and breakfast was good! The young Lady working the breakfast (unfortunately I did not get her name) was an angel as well and helped us with getting our meals! 10/10 recommend

Rhio Jordan

Easy, prompt, friendly check in Bedding and towels were crisp and clean Pillows were kind of an odd small size, but worked for a night

Coffee pot in the room was dusty :/ walls, ceiling near vents needed dusting Soft light lightbulbs would definitely make an improvement Did not like the bright white, almost blue looking office type lights which made for a depressing vibe in the room :/But on the plus side, appreciated that breakfast was served until 10am so my family and I could sleep-in after traveling! The lady assisting in the “cafe” during breakfast was super helpful and attentive with my sons Traveling alone as a single mom, extra help like this is VERY much appreciated! =] Would stay again for a night if needed!

One of the Best Hotels in area!!My experience was beyond my expectations I stayed there for four days with my family during the vacation in late April We came here vacating early, after staying one day in another hotel in NOLA area where I was planning to stay for five nights

We had the best experience during our stay The room was very clean & comfortable Hot breakfast was beyond expectations in pandemic time The staff was very friendly They made us feeling very homely The location is open, sunny and quietSincere thanks to the Manager Dodie (I think) and her very friendly team you made our trip very memorable Will stay again

A Alvarado

This was the only one where there was no mention of staff killing roachesStaff was friendly, place was clean, breakfast was good, and they even had a TV in the restroomOnly problem was the 1/4 in

gap at the bottom of our room door

Sherrell Lee

Decent rooms, I felt they were very clean Both of the rooms had a odor, but I believe it was because Of age and maybe the AC was off before we came Breakfast every morning was nice

The staff is limited but very polite The room doors slam unusually loud and you can hear in the halls well Overall, I would stay there again Clean, friendly, nice

Thanks Doris (Kitchen Manager) for marking breakfast and having the place look spotless and nice Our kids are so grateful you looked for their favorite cartoons You made our stay more pleasant and you made us feel welcomed

Also, the pool was nice and clean It had good shade areas and the water was warm

Thomas W

Hotel location is good for a lot of places The higher numbered rooms end of the building is secluded as parking is only on one side of the hotel Dog friendly and plenty of room to walk

Breakfast was ok, but definitely not the best I’ve had at a hotel The room was fairly typical in that it needed maintenance on the faucets and caulking Furniture and bed were very uncomfortable I’ve never understood why hotels buy the crappiest couches and chairs All the employees were very friendly and helpful when needed

Erin Welch

We had a wonderful 2-night stay Lovely employees, comfortable beds, clean rooms and facilities, and a wonderful hot breakfast We didn’t realize it was 35 minutes out of New Orleans, but honestly, that part ended up fine–it was just 12 minutes from our swamp tour (Cajun Encounters) and the Old Town Soda Shop in Slidell has delicious ice cream and an atmosphere you can’t beat

We highly recommend both, as well as the Hampton Inn in Slidell!

Our stay at Candlewood suites was excellent for so many reasons We live local in the area but stayed here due to A power outage at home Tara at the front desk checked us in with a positive, enthusiastic attitude and prompt service!!:)As much as I tend to struggle to sleep soundly in a new bed, I managed a full nights sleep here uninterrupted

Definitely took notice of the quality of the bedding and pillowsWe were conveniently located on the ground floor w/high ceilings, and the room was just immaculate! There were plenty of cable channels to choose from, and the granite countertops were a beautiful touchIt felt like more like a condo than a hotel room with all the appliances available Not to mention having real utensils and convenient glassware on hand was an added plusAfter a stressful situation, we decided stopped by the pool to relax for a bit It was very clean and we had it all to ourselves!!The next morning we woke up to a hot cup of complementary coffee and hot shower with great water pressureCandlewood suites truly saved the day, we will definitely be back!!!

Mason Shubirg

Fantastic staff When I arrived I had called ahead and asked about an early check in The lady at the desk let me know she would try her best but it wasn’t looking promising

Not only did she get me in early, but she was very sincere and kind with me during the whole process Excellent service On top of that, the rooms and public spaces were clean, the area around felt safe, and the drive to New Orleans is under and hour from here Thank you, for making my stay comfortable

Amy Brown

I paid 200 dollars for a room They put all guests with pets in the same rooms The room they put is in smells heavily of pet urine

The remedy they proposed was to give me points Do NOT stay here It’s beyond unsanitary and nasty They also charge 50 for a pet fee but couldn’t confirm that the carpet had been cleaned after the last pet DISGUSTING

This place has been awesome We stayed in cabin 2 nice a clean There was only 4 of us but there was room for more to sleep

The living room was small but good for the 4 of us Pool for the kids to play in We went on a walk just to check out the grounds and it was so quiet and peaceful Would definitely come back to stay if in the area

Paul Zulauf

Great park and very accommodating Park was surprisingly clean and quiet aside from improvement work being done The people that stay here are wonderful straight forward people and are willing to help anyone

But that’s about the end of the good The owner changes his mind overnight and charges whatever price he is in the mood to charge 160 a week for a tent and 150 for an RV for a week Doesn’t seem right Park manager thinks she owns the park and enjoys barking orders at people or just treats them like dirt because she feels fit Jim the maintenance guru is a wonderful guy For a quick stay it’s decent but if you are there to long they will find some way to get rid of you

Matthew Bunt

A great park! Travelling across country and were lucky enough to stay here The new owner is a great guy and is putting a lot of work into the park His staff are friendly, welcoming and are focused on making every detail of your stay pleasant, from recommending things to do in town, to making sure everything is in perfect working condition

Can’t wait to come back When I’m in Louisiana, I will be staying here

It was such a pleasant and stressless day! From the first phone call til we walked out of the door Debbie is extremely friendly, personable and compassionate We are from out of town and have been trying to plan our wedding since March! Debbie was extremely informative and easy to work with

Once our day had hit 07-10-2010 yes yesterday! We were both in shambles with the weather It was comforting to know that like big snow storms in Philly , these rainfalls are nothing to NOLA! Lol She assured me and sure enough , her and her amazing husband made our day SO wonderful, beautiful and STRESS FREE! My best friend was unable to make it due to a sickness and they provided a witness Cliff who was personable and full of character The cottage is so peaceful, warm and intimate The ceremony provided by Tim was quick and beautifulhe was engaged asNd you felt felt his happiness and sincerity The cake was elegant and delicious! We could not have been more happier with our decision! We wished we could’ve stayed the night Thank you Debbie, Tim and Cliff for making our day so memorable and special! ❤️ Trisha and Scott!

My Wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon It was perfect for what we needed The area is quite beautiful, the service was great

The owners/host were very friendly We told them that we were on our honeymoon and they brought us sparkling grape juice and we had our own table reserved at breakfast (Which the breakfast was great) It was very convenient being able to book it online I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway I do plan on going back

Catseye2001

The hosts were very friendly, very knowledgeable about the area, and very welcoming The bed and breakfast is beautiful, with large rooms connected by a balcony overlooking a garden A homemade breakfast was provided each morning, with fresh honey and jams and fruit from local Gardens

It was a wonderful experience which we hope to repeat in the future

The staff at the front was good However, the manager is difficult We had a last-minute family emergency where they won’t let us change reservations and leave a day early and ended us charging for 2 rooms for all 3 nights whereas we stayed for only 2

There was a guest from a nearby hotel who ended up in the pool at this hotel and was running around everywhere causing ruckus Hotel is average, could use a bit more cleanliness in hallways and rooms Average stay at an average hotel

Maria Hopper

I booked this hotel through Priceline, with Comfort Inn, it can be decent or it can go bad This was not a decent one My luggage stayed in the hotel longer than I did

I would not recommend this place to anyone The bed was hard, stains everywhere, it doesn’t look like it was cleaned very well The furniture felt grimy, the sheets were stained The hallways smell like weed and a$$ The A/C won’t go below 72as hot as it is in LA seriously! This place is priced higher than it should be by a large amount I no longer trust the quality of Comfort Inns anymore I left the hotel and booked at Springhills down the street I couldn’t get a refund because I booked through Priceline so I had to eat that money I was there for a funeral, there was no way I was going to stay at this hotel and be miserable on top of everything else I even offered to allow my local family/friends to stay there so my lost money would be worth it but no one would take me up on that offer and I can see why The room sat vacant from Friday to Monday I should have taken pictures but I was too upset If you have to stay here, I would say to book in person and see if you can view the room before booking it If you have the option go elsewhere Total waste of almost $500 At least the staff was friendly

Everrick Wright

Disgusting place to stay We booked from 17th of March to the 20th, and are checking out the very next day We noticed several nasty looking stains on the couch, mold in the shower, and the morning after sleeping in the bed, several blood and dark brown stains on inside of blanket

The service man tried to explain what mold is, as if we don’t know where it comes from We should not have had to deal with it in first place Then, they tried to blame us for the stain on the inside of the blanket and when I spoke to management, there was no customer service skills at all She immediately stated that maintence was coming to fix it as if it was okay the room was not move in ready When I told her I was uncomfortable with several aspects of cleanliness of the room, she suggested to check out early No discount, no sorry, no anything I will not be recommending to anyone ever
