Our stay here was great from start to finish we were greeted at the front desk by Gabby and Brittany who was in training They were very attentive and have excellent customer service During breakfast we were created by Angela and her coworker

Their service as well was exceptional During checkout we had the pleasure of meeting Tanya Each of the people we encountered here are amazing If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here I recommend this place for any traveling through or just a quick get away

After a month of trying to block rooms off for my wedding in 7 months I spoke to 3 different employees who took my information down and said to wait for a confirmation email I waited a week each time and called again only to be told my reservation was not blocked off… week 4 I finally get to speak to the manager who was out for surgery and she makes no effort to accommodate my room block despite the fact that I was told for a month now that the confirmation email would be coming I now have to find another hotel with only 6 months to my event

First night was a little loud with teenagers staying there and not very considerate of anyone else We were on the side of the truck stop Heard some trucks

The hotel does have ear plugs to use The second night we turned on the fan to be a noise buffer and slept like a baby The free breakfast was nice but not alot of tables The teenagers took over the whole place, we ate in our room The second morning wasn’t as bad Lots of choices

Very impressed! We won a certificate for a night’s stay and I am so glad we did We travel a lot & this hotel is now one of our top favorites Friendly & kind staff! Clean & comfortable rooms! Amazing breakfast! Relaxing pool area & we loved the patio! If staying in Somerset make this hotel your first choice, you won’t be disappointed

We stayed this weekend while visiting the Flight 93 Memorial We played a little game with our “golden Eggs” and Where’s George Dollars so I hope whoever took them will have some fun with them The ladies at check-in on Saturday night were very accommodating since we didn’t have a reservation

We had a room and were upstairs in less than 10 mins The room was great(although if you want a tub ask for a room with one) – we had a very nice large walk in shower Very clean! All the amenities Breakfast in the morning was very good Lots to pick from Checkout was a breeze If we are ever in the area again this will be our first choice!!

My room was immaculate, clean and fully stocked with amenities , only thing missing were tea bags; just coffee pods were available (but no biggie) Kudos especially to the staff, Rebecca who literally secured the last room in the hotel for me at 1030 pm via the phone, and Richard who took his time at midnight to help me with mapping an alternate route to work around the turnpike construction that had cost me two extra hours of driving earlier that day Fairfield needs to clone these two for their other properties so I can stay in and enjoy the rest of my journey

Having a free hot breakfast to wake up to is also a perk!

My son and I had never been skiing before and wanted to try it out Hidden valley seemed to be a good place to start I was very intimidated at first, but from check-in, to getting our rental equipment, to taking lessons, to enjoying the rest of our day, everyone was immensely helpful

Bob was a fantastic instructor – thorough, patient, knowledgeable, and friendly We started on the beginner hill but soon felt more comfortable moving on to some of the other (easier) trails Given our current skill level, Hidden Valley was exactly what we needed I think we are hooked! Overall, we had a great experience

Kris Courter

Love coming here due to the chill vibe and great customer service Staff is wonderful, helpful, and very friendlyIt’s not the most challenging mountain, but great when you want a more relaxing day

Great place for families, especially with smaller kids It doesn’t have the crazy party vibe items bigger sister 7 Springs has

Lawrence Of Arabia

Had a great evening with my two girls on a Friday night We did the evening session from 4pm to 9pm Very family oriented with no issues whatsoever

Everyone is normal Everyone is friendly They have a lodge, a restaurant and a bad and ski shop right on the premises just yards away from the slopes They have hotel rooms that get sold out on the weekends when in season I highly recommend this place Btw, their hot chocolate for 2 dollars is just about the best deal you can get at their bar

They need to fire the entire front desk team We were there for a wedding and not a single person in the bride/groom party had a good experience They gave my husband and me an occupied room

They then gave my brother in law OUR room twice and tried to make him pay twice They gave the bride and groom on their wedding night an occupied room TWICE! Another couple had a dirty room This establishment is an absolute embarrassment and I will tell anyone who will listen to NEVER consider staying at this resort I’ve traveled all over the world, and I have NEVER had a worse hotel experience We were never given an apology, a refund, or anything They were rude, blamed the guests for problems, and were extremely nasty to ALL the guests My in-laws had a condo and had to offer multiple people in the bridal party A BED TO SLEEP IN I’ve never felt more disrespected or unsafe in an establishment Worst hotel I’ve had the displeasure of staying at

Marisa Jackson

We were there for a dance convention and there was great organization on the way in for getting unloaded and getting checked in Kudos to the guys in the parking lot for keeping things running smoothly At check in, it was quick, but unremarkable and no one seemed happy at all, but there were no issues with their service

The sleeping rooms were extremely dated and all furniture chipped and extremely worn We visited a fee of the food outlets and for the most part, the service was fast and friendly We did visit the foggy goggle twice and the first time with a large group and the service was great, the second night the same group but smaller went back and the service was extremely delayed and all the staff was curt and rude Overall The experience wasn’t bad, but if you are looking for fast friendly service in an up to date property, I just don’t think I would choose this over other options

Mary Margaret Isabella

We had a large group as we go there every year (400-600 yearly) checkin was a nightmare as their computer system was not working right Lost several reservationsCould not use room charge, sloppiness only took credit card, no gift cards could be used Handicap room really not accessible and door from lobby with restaurant to hotel needed to have someone open for me

I travel alone and use a mobility scooter so it was hard

I’ve stayed at this location once in the past, and it seems like they’ve been working to update things The rooms were nice, though could use a few more outlets The people working there were very friendly and helpful

And the pool, well, it leaves something to be desired It is the smallest pool I have ever seen But, my kids played in it for a good hour or more so it still did it’s job! I definitely recommend this location

Tammy Lewis

Hotel needed ALOT of updates They must have tried to paint the walls because you could see the beginning of new paint Hotel had a bad smell on the 3rd floor

Someone was cooking the whole time I was there and it made the 3rd floor smell bad One guest in another room threw up in the hallway from the smell Carpets in room were dirty Only ice machine was on the 1st floor and while I used it the man at the front desk just stood and watched me I didn’t see a pool anywhere on the property When I asked the girl at the front desk about the pool her reply was what are you talking about we don’t have a pool

Really nice that this was directly off the highway Staff went out of their way to be helpful Rooms were clean and comfortable

Some minor cosmetic details and upgrades would be nice but this is the quality of service every Holiday Inn Express should strive for Breakfast was tasty and the dining area and lobby were clean This was an extremely pleasant experience during a long trip and the quality caught me by surprise!

Darrell Piatt

We were returning from a long road trip and needed a place to spend the night so we didn’t have a super-long dayHere’s the good – the room was decent and the bed was comfortable There was little noise from other rooms or the hallway, even though the hotel was pretty booked

The people at the desk were nice The hot breakfast was pretty good, although the scrambled eggs were a tad dry on topOn the negative side, the elevator broke the night we got there We were on the 3rd floor and needed to leave the next morning We also had brought a lot into the room and my wife isn’t the best at climbing steps We ran into several irritated staff who hinted that this was something that had occurred multiple times I felt bad for them having to do their job hauling things up and down the stairways, which also smelled pretty funky Other than that, the room lighting was pretty dim and there really needed to be another ceiling light to cover the overall area

Gary Meyer

Holiday Inn Express is typically a reliably clean and pleasant hotel experience – but not this establishment The building itself is showing it’s age: scuffed walls, dated interior, and “hotel” odorThe elevator was broken, so we had to carry everything up the stairs and were greeted with a diaper in the stairwell that was never picked up, and a former guest’s hairs left in our shower

Then, at breakfast, the pancake machine was to make the smallest pancakes that were so small that you’d need 10 to feed a grown manOn top of this, it was fairly pricy for the area at $168/night I hope this facility gets refreshed soon, but for now, go stay at the nearby Marriott

The setting is a perfect slice of hillside paradise The house manages to be both spacious and cozy at the same time and there can be no better host than Julie Every detail has been thought of and Julie can find, solve or suggest anything you can think of

Her knowledge of the area is encyclopedic We went to see Fallingwater and she gave us lots of useful tips beforehand Her breakfasts are a work of art – farmhouse spreads with the best scrambled eggs anywhere and a whole lot more The smell of bacon cooking is a wonderful thing to wake up to

Carlton Schuyler

Such an excellent place to stay! Julie is an outstanding host Interesting conversation, stories, great knowledge of the local area She provides solid, tasty breakfast, and ample snacks and drinks

The two (!) fireplaces (one on each floor) are awesome There is plenty of room to make oneself at home: Deck, two floors with sitting areas and TVs I took the room on the bottom floor with its own bathroom and easy access to the hot tubI had a couple days to chill by myself, working (great Wifi!) on the ample deck upstairs, taking in the view from either the table or the raised barI drove into town a couple times to get some food and drinks – there is a good spirits place where they’ll give you tasters of the local distilled goods Nice area, very interesting! On the weekend, I went to see Fallingwater, and hung out for the better part of a day in Ohiopyle Definitely a place to come back to, and when I do I’ll hope to get a place at Julie’s!

Michele Graham

Beautiful ! If you are looking for a place to kick back and relax this is the place for you! The owner is very nice , she makes you feel like a welcome friend The breakfast was delicious Lots of places to sit and take in the view of nature

Hot tub added to the relaxing atmosphere We had great conversations around the fire pit in the evening with fun and friendly people who were also spending the weekend

A hidden gem of Somerset county Clean beach area Swimming, playground and pavilions or picnic tables located close to each other

Paddle board and kayak rentals available and snacks/ice at the little shack Great place to spend the day swimming, fishing and picnicking with the family Have cash- there is a small fee ($5/car) but we’ll worth it Grounds are monitored by staff and kept tidy

Sue Poole

We stayed at the rustic cabins It was very spacious There was room to set up a table inside

My husband is 5’10” for scale in the photos The beach was nice It was clean and had lots of sand for the kids to play in along with a playground nearby The Yak Shack has firewood and some basic items to purchase like coffee Kayaks, paddleboards, and bikes are available to rent there as well There are lots of trails around to hike and bike on

Emma Keys

We had a wonderful weekend camping at QFRA! It is a smaller tent/RV campground which we appreciated The camp hosts were available if we needed anything or had questions The area is absolutely gorgeous

We rented kayaks, a canoe and paddle boards from the Yak Shak! Our rental experience with them was great! The Yak Shak has some snacks, drinks, ice, cut fire wood and a small selection of hygiene needs The bathrooms were clean Each campsite had a picnic table and fire ring We really enjoyed the campground and our time with family!

The food and service were absolutely amazing Jeff, the cook, came out and discussed with us some of their specialties We ordered the pumpkin pancakes, the spiced apple pancakes, and the breakfast skillet with bacon

Everything was absolutely delicious! We were staying 10 minutes away at seven springs and so happy we made the short drive over for breakfast I must have recommended this to half a dozen workers over at seven springs Will definitely be back to eat there again next visit

cindy l

Good homemade food for breakfast Simply delicious and fresh The owner, Marianne was very helpful and accommodating

A very sweet friendly ladyThe inn itself is charming and lovely, filled with antiques and vintage pieces However it is in need of some updating and a good cleaning The biggest complaint we had was the water The well water was pretty bad We did not shower in it, and used bottled water for face washing and teeth brushing It smelled terribly of iron and sulpher This place could be five stars all the way with a little TLC We did not complain about the water situation, as Marianne was such a sweetheart We should’ve asked for a small refund I would stay there again if the water situation was cleared up

Wendessa Kover

I cannot stress enough just how scrumptious their food wasI had two different sandwiches I ordered a Turkey Rueben and the Turkey and Swiss with Cranberry Garnish sauce

I was blown away Both had great flavor, texture and moisture I am returning tomorrow and again before we depart the area on Monday because I loved it so much The atmosphere is also very cozy and quietEggs Benedict and Monte Cristo was amazing as well!
