WAY TOO expensive for the stay we had ($250?!!) Part of that was a $40 pet fee but still…we’ve stayed in really nice NYC hotels for that price!!! Our room was tiny, one full size bed right by the elevator In the middle of nowhere

Nothing fancy or worth the money Rougher crowd than before too Hallways definitely smell like weed Person at the desk at check in was not friendly at all Morning person was nice but she agreed with me that it is way too overpriced She said “I am embarrassed when people call and ask our rates” Just overall not happy It’s disappointing as we normally love Holliday Inns We definitely won’t be back If I am going to pay that price, it better be MUCH nicer than this simple overnight destination

This was our 2nd stay at this location It’s close to Shipshewana, IN, but far enough away that they usually have rooms This hotel is pet friendly which makes it convenient for us to make last minute plans and take our pup with us instead of having to find a kennel

From what I understand, certain rooms are pet friendly and the rest are not Rooms were clean and well supplied Staff is friendly, the pool is warm and it’s close to I80/90 The breakfast is hot and has a great assortment including sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, cereal, yogurt, rolls, pancakes and more There is always hot coffee in the lobby This hotel is close to the interstate and you can hear some road noise There is an exercise room on site

Victoria Laux

Lovely spacious room which was clean and very well maintained Front desk was friendly and helpful checking in Well stocked breakfast with lots of options, even though we went towards the end of the breakfast time

Only downside was that we could hear some road noise from the interstate, and some thumps from the room above us as they moved around

The most important thing is that the hotel and rooms were super clean The Staff was super friendly, kind and helpful We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area

Although, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend the ‘hot breakfast’ but all the À la cart items were substantial Our room air didn’t seem to cool down quite enough, and the light from the parking lot glared through our window and the blackout shade in our room wouldn’t close to block it out But the comfy beds & pillows were Fantastic and we got good sleep Super grateful to have had a clean, safe place to stay

Jeff Alexander

Room was nasty! Goldfish between the mattress and wall Crumbs all over the bed When management notified they acted like absolute fools! They finally agreed to refund our money but said we can never stay there again

Lmfao Your rooms are nasty and not clean! Why would I want to? Definitely would not recommend booking here You will be stuck last minute fighting with them and having to find somewhere else to stay for the night Save the energy and find somewhere else now!

Elevator is still broken We called at 11:30pm inquiring about two rooms We really appreciated the clerk holding two rooms for us when we arrived at 1am

Unfortunately it took about 20-25 minutes to check us in (we were the only ones in the lobby at 1:30am) However, our rooms were clean, they procured a collapsible crib for us (bless my spouse for carrying it up three flights of stairs) and breakfast was hot, clean and diverse 3 stars One extra star for accommodating us and holding rooms for us until we could arrive (for some reason we couldn’t book online)

María Soledad Orcasberro

The hotel is fine, clean, and comfortable, but the service is horrible They had no soap, the elevator was broken and there was a blackout and the water was cut off They don’t even have a generator

The next day there was no breakfast with the excuse of the blackout that had ended hours ago and there was not even a machine to make a coffee They didn´t give me a receipt The truth is that the quality/price ratio is horrible! I was charged US$180 for a hotel worse than a hotel that charges US$80 I do not recommend it at all!

Walter Lewis

Don’t expect them to honor your reservation My reservation was canceled while I was standing in the lobby wanting to check-inAfter driving 11 hours, I was told by the front desk attendant that I couldn’t check in because all the pet rooms were sold out

I tried to explain to her that I had reserved a pet room on the Hilton app She was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing her She didn’t care what I had reserved and said I could stay there but my pet couldn’t How is that even an option??I have stayed at 3 other Hampton Inns in the past month, with my dog, without any issues I reserved a pet room through the Hilton app for each of themMy reservation says “if you cancel… your payment is non-refundable” When I asked her about being charged for a room they would not allow me to check-in to, she canceled my reservation

The room was spacious, comfortable, neat, and clean! The staff was professional and very friendly They made us feel at homeThe inn was also in a convenient location adjacent to the huge town flea market and close to all the lovely shops in the Amish village

It is a wonderful, homey place to stayThank you for making our short stay a memorable experience We will be back for a longer stay the next time

Sandy Scheer

The Farmstead Inn was simply lovely on every level The whole Inn was spacious inside and out The staff and guests were peacefully engaging adding even more to the welcoming feeling over breakfast, around the pool, and in the comings and goings throughout the day

The central location made it easy to drive out to the area activities and adventures It was a joy to drive back in under the Inn’s welcoming arch opening to the beautiful lawns, the entry, spacious stairway / elevator, fireplace seating areas, and gracious room Our visit was soul filling and the glow is still radiating almost a week later…

Nice clean and friendly environmentRooms were well equipped however did not cater for people to make their own cup of tea in the room Coffee was provided

Milk needed to be purchased at a general store or service stationRoom were cleaned daily if you so requiredBreakfast was provided free in a small dining area and was suitable enough The only complaint I experienced was that on day two they ran out of bread at 8:00 AM and breakfast was slotted 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM Someone should have check quantities abd compared that to the number of guests and purchased additional bread just in caseThe same goes for the tin of Hot Chocolate I placed the empty Tin on the reception desk to find that they placed the empty tin back on the shelf for the guests for the next morningI went to reception and requested another role of toilet paper and received a coronal inquest, who was I what room was I in and why did I need it All of which didn’t need to happen, simple room number and hand over a roll was all it requiredApart from those couple of points I thoroughly enjoyed the place and would highly recommend giving it a try

Sylvia Mcgreevy

The rooms were nice they have a housekeeper there named Mary who does an exceptional job cleaning the room it always smelled nice and fresh each time you opened the door unlike two others we had during our six night stay it’s the first motel that has ever charged me an additional fee (cleaning fee) for my service dig $120 that was not indicated when I booked the room It may make me decide not to stay there again because NEVER have I been charged anything for my registered service dog

We chose to stay here based on a recommendation from someone who stayed here a year ago We enjoyed shipshewanna but we would not be staying at this hotel again-we had a double queen room and the sheets on both beds were filthy, we asked twice for clean sheets and we were told we would get them, never did

-the pool was absolutely disgusting The filter wasn’t on and there was a gross “swill” on top of the water- there was barely enough food for the breakfasts-the front desk gal told us all about other guests, how many rooms they booked and how many extra people that came and how disruptive they were beingVery disappointed Would be a beautiful hotel with proper management

Rodeo Twister

Stayed in the suite 228 and was happy with the room, but carpet needed cleaned, there are spots on it, for the price it should be in little better shape 15 miles from the MEC arena, need more places to eat that stay open later, good breakfast, but needs better warmers, price was too expensive! Specially booked 2 months ahead

The other party i was with, booked at same time, didn’t get to check into 8pm they were still having to clean rooms that late!! Booking ahead we should not have to wait when having to go to show and not have our room ready Plus they had to change room around as instructed we wanted them next to each other They didn’t do that Either room was ready anyway Need better schedulers!

Jessica Mayfield

We used to love this place, it has went downhill fast! Room was in horrible shape, busted blinds, tub fell apart with black mold all over, ordered extras, never got them, was so hard to get fresh linen each night for showers even Only enough coffee for one cup first morning even though stayed 3 People were so loud all night Saturday

Booked two nights to take my mother-in-law to the Flea Market for her birthday Even though it was very last minute Brigitte still got us in for the weekend in one of the Rose rooms When we arrived, I was delighted to learn she had done some shuffling to get us the Lighthouse room so my husband and I could have a separate bedroom from my in-laws but still be booked together

MIL adored the place from beginning to end She found the decor absolutely delightful and being able to walk through the back garden gate to get to the Flea was incredibly convenient Visiting with the owner during breakfast was her favorite part though If they go out to Shipshewana again I’m sure they’ll be staying at the Old Carriage Inn

Melody Froncek

What’s not to love?? Nice atmosphere, you always feel welcome Great hostess whoe is very knowledgeable about the area sites Fabulous breakfast set up

if you leave hungry it is certainly your own fault Each room has private bathroom and shower Beautiful, quiet atmosphere, you can lull yourself to sleep with the clip-clop of the horse drawn carriages Best of all it is located within walking distance to the flea market so you can fill up and go right back for more! Love this place and would never consider staying anywhere else!!!

Great service and great breakfast The pool also had a lift for those guests who might need it, and there was a nice covered picnic area We happened to be in a wheelchair accessible room

Overall, the room was decent with a nice king bed It was great that the shower was wheelchair accessible (for someone who needs that) and there was a bench that could be put in the shower; however, the shower head was a handheld without a place to hang it So you had to ensure it wasn’t facing out into the bathroom or water would spray everywhere and you had to hold it the whole time

Ryan Ranocchini

I called and specifically asked before booking about the pool being open and operating I was told it was good Got there and it turns out the heater is (and has been) broken

To say the pool is a “little chilly” is an understatement I never would have booked here had I known this My wife just stayed in the room while i froze to death with my kids Swimming was not fun like it should have been and was mostly about how cold we were Back at home now, my daughter has a runny nose I guess we should have just skipped the pool all togetherThe room had stained bedding, cobwebs and dirty curtains Dirty wall in bathroom Sink plug was broken and the toilet seat Only positive thing was that staff was able to accommodate connected rooms, but that was mixed up too We had to wait 20 minutes to get moved to the double queen/king connected rooms instead of the two double queen connected roomsWhile I made the best of it, without the pool issue being fixed I will never go back Additionally, breakfast is a grab bag I missed the memo and just thought they didn’t have it at all I guess you have to ask for the bag at the desk No one gave me a heads up at check-in I felt deceived and cheated of a good time with all of my family since my wife could not tolerate the cold pool Thumbs down

The place is very nice, Although the walls are a bit thin on the 1st level really not bad enough to have any issues The food is absolutely delicious they make wonderful omelets very friendly staff very clean lots of fun people I would come back here again

The beds are a bit firmer than some hotels, But the pillows are huge and fluffy The air conditioner in my room works fantastic The air conditioner in my room works fantastic Also the refrigerator will fit a pizza Box if you put it in there just right, it doesn’t look like it but it will work

Todd Martin

I really enjoyed our stay here The rooms were really nice size Great workout rooms, pool was nice, ice cream/ snack area great

Breakfast is a must, made to order omelets and buffet is real foodThe only downsides are, thin walls and floors We heard neighbors conversations and walking above us If you go, get the 3rd floor Also, the bed was not the greatest, my wife enjoyed it but it gave me backaches I am picky about mattress quality

Samantha Baldyga

If you are ever in this small town, I would recommend staying here It is right next to the concert hall where musical performances take place The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly

We paid $200 for one Saturday night with a king bed for 2 people and it was big enough for 6 people to sleep Our room had another bed plus a pull out couch The room included a coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, and hair dryer Breakfast was included where you can order your omelet how you’d like it Hot breakfast was nice because most places in this town are closed on Sundays The hotel has a fitness center, pool, hot tub, arcade, and an ice cream shop It gave off a cozy feeling
