One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in After traveling from the East Coast to the West and not arriving until 2:30 in the morning They had our room ready and we didn’t see anyone until we woke up the next morning

The room was spacious with a full kitchen My Fiancé and Myself couldn’t have asked for anything better The staff is very nice and very helpful This is a very well ran establishment and you won’t go wrong if you decide to stay at Sunnyvale Garden Suites The cost was very reasonable as well

I didnt end up staying there I went witb a friend of mine that I had referred several months ago It was awful

Its under new owners who are extremely rude and the manager that had made my first stay so great was no longer there The room had an unpleasant odor, was not very clean When we turned dowm the bed there was blood spots like from bed bugs I was completly embarrassed Needless to say we left and my friend got his money back

Cute, quaint, clean and conveniently located We’re a family of four (2 young kids) and it couldn’t have worked out better You need more than one day to see the Park, and this is a perfect place to make camp

Set ourselves up with groceries Ample cooking facilities in-suite The new pool was warm and in spite of cold, clear skies the kids swam to the point of exhaustion – couldn’t get them up to see the magnificent starry sky If you’re coming to take in all the wonders that Joshua Tree has to offer, I don’t believe you can do better than here

Fran Turano

I wish everyone the opportunity to enjoy this perfect place to stay when you are in Joshua Tree The place has the best feel to it with very clean and well set up units and outdoor spaceThe owner came by and was so nice and friendly as she introduced herself and the atmosphere is the best with all the stars overhead

It feels like you drove an extra 100 miles in and yet it’s right off the main roadHad breakfast at County Kitchen (yummy!) Had my hair and make-up down at Bloom (thanks Michelle) for the wedding just across the way at Green Acres(beautiful location)Cannot say enough good things about Spin and Margie’s and hope to return next year for no other reason except we already have a head-start knowing where to stayThanks Spin and Margie’s for being such a fabulous place to outside and visit out under the stars and such comfortable and convenient cottages (at a reasonable rate)

Place worth a stop if you visit Joshua Tree Bedsheets and towels are clean, rooms with two beds come with a small kitchen There is a dryer and a laundry machine on site

Pool was clean and really pleasant after having been in the dessert all morning The lady in charge is kind and helpful Lots of equipment to offer disabled accessibility There is dust – but hey, you’re in the middle of the desert

Daniel Chimenti

Went here at 2am after unsuccessfully trying to camp in Joshua Tree We went here because they were open 24 hours, responded promptly, and had vacanciesFor a room with 2 queen size beds it was $130 per night

The room was a good size Beds were comfortable Bathroom was cramped, and the rooms could been cleaned better There was dust in multiple places, and one dead cockroach on the floor

If you want a pleasant personalized experience and a convenient place to stay at a reasonable price, with an incredible sunrise view, this is it However, it’s not a place for fluffy pillows, hot water on demand (takes a while for the shower to warm up), freezing cold air conditioning, or cookie-cutter rooms with blackout curtains It is quirky in a good way!

David Crisp

The motel is very quaint and the rooms are well appointed, however the woman’s whom I’m assuming is the manager was VERY rude She was offended that I was wearing a mask, although I am perfectly healthy and unable to wear one because of a deviated septum She forced me to go outside of the office to finish the paperwork and check in

After checking in, I pulled my car up to our room and was raising her voice almost to the point of yelling and saying “you can’t park there, park against the fence!” I had every intention to park against the fence, but I was traveling with my family and had multiple bags to unload and simply did not want to carry all of our bags across the parking lot after driving 8 hours on a 105 degree day After we showered and got ready for bed, we noticed that all of our pillows we very hard and difficult to sleep on The reason? The pillows are very old and flat and instead of buying new ones, they put 2 old flat pillows together into 1 pillowcase This could be a wonderful place if the manager would adjust her attitude and invest in some new pillows

Tracey Stewart

The good: room was clean and we had air conditioning The dry garden in front of the rooms is also nice The pool was great to sit by and dangle ur feet in! They had ice but u have to ask for it

The not so good: we stayed in room 1 and the beds were ok but our feet dangled over the edge so I’d ur tall don’t stay in room 1 The bathroom was extremely small but to be fair the lady warned us and this was the last room so we took it! Channel changer didn’t work and the TV was small! Pool water was dirty and cold! But somewhat refreshing after Joshua

Stayed here for two nights during a road trip along the east coast Glad we did – it was super comfortable and loved our time here We had the Encelia Adobe and it was nice and cool inside compared to the heat outside

Perfect place to stay if you want to explore Joshua Tree National Park and surrounding area Unfortunately the only photo I have is as we were packing up to leave I would happily stay here again one day!

Si Capon

A group of 10 of us arrived having booked well in advance The bar closed at 7 pm and no food available We ordered take away pizza and had to eat it outside in the cold because the bar area was being locked up

Heaters were available, but had no fuel Overall, a very poor experience considering that they knew well in advance we were arriving I cannot recommend and I will not be returning

We stayed here a couple years ago and had a fantastic time Loved how they decorated all the spaces inside and out We were in Joshua Tree a couple weeks ago camping with friends and had to stop by and show them the place

The owners were there cleaning up after a wedding so got to chat with one of them She was very nice and loved sharing about the future changes they were planning

The Black Sheep

This is truly your giant slice of heaven served to you on a desert platter Me and my girlfriend have stayed they’re twice last year as I treated her for her birthday and we had such a blast Your room even has a outdoor bath and shower in your private backyard quarters

The owner was very friendly and accommodating and puts a lot of love and care into her gem oasis as you can sense and feel the great vibes here Highly recommend this place if you want a weekend gateway or just be in touch with the 🏜

This was my first time in a Holiday Inn with family We booked a suite The room was good, spacious and mostly clean

But the bathroom had no soap or conditioner in it’s dispensers The room did not have any study chairs for computer work Finally, we went for breakfast to find that there was nothing left even though we were 30 minutes to close of breakfast No replenishment So overall, it was a mixed experience

Very nice stay here! I stayed here for 1 night to go stargazing in Joshua Tree National Park The front desk employee was so helpful with giving advice about which areas of the park to stargaze and even gave me a map It was a 5-minute drive to the nearest park entrance

Has a small outdoor pool/hot tub area that was modest but nice and clean I am knocking off a star due to some need for updates and maintenance — the tub drain didn’t work well, the chair fabric was ripped and desk was scuffed up Just an older hotel, but served the purpose I needed it for! Also has a free breakfast

My new favorite camping spot!! Second trip of what will be many Gorgeous!! Super friendly and helpful rangers, clean pottys, awesome rock climbing and hiking trails Just watch time of year for heat warnings, May seems perfect but I wouldn’t try my luck June-Sept the rangers say that’s dangerous heat stroke time

Just got back yesterday and can’t wait to go backEnjoy!!!

We had a miserable experience staying here The hotel is so understaffed that you have to go to the front desk at the hotel NEXT DOOR to check in Not their fault, but not ideal

The sink in our room was clogged and wouldn’t drain at all I tried repeatedly to call the front desk but never got an answer, presumably due to under-staffing Upon finally reaching someone at the front desk, a maintenance worker came to our room and was there for a couple of hours trying to fix the sink but couldn’t We were told the hotel was fully booked and we couldn’t switch rooms Not what we wanted to hear, but understandable enough So I asked if we could get any sort of a discount on our room, since we would be spending two nights in a room with an entirely unusable sink That’s when I was told that there would be no discount offered because “there are plenty of people who would be happy to have that room at that price, even with a broken sink” Wow, okay So we spent two days washing our hands and faces in the bathtub Other issues included: a firm two-towel-per-room policy (unless you want to pay for more) – not ideal for a family of four, an ice machine area with no ice machine, and paper-thin walls The best part was the pool area, though be sure to bring your two towels from your room, because they don’t have towels at the pool

Linda

We had problems with our room key 3 times We had to keep going back to the hotel next door(because that’s where you check in) to get a new key I think it’s extremely cheap cards and they get deactivated easily

Zero security and people who are clearly not staying here are in the outside parking lot and common area smoking and hanging out Also if your going to stay here you have to pay for ice and fresh towels But on the plus sideif you want an inexpensive place to stay with a fridge microwave and working AC it’s the place for you

Morgan Radio

Hotel booked at the last minute to enjoy one more day of the Joshua Tree National ParkCheck-in is easy, if there is no one at the reception, you have to go to the hotel next door in the parking lotThe room is clean with safe, refrigerator and even microwave! The decoration is a little dated, but the bed is good, the sheets clean

A little lick of paint in the rooms and it deserves 5 stars! It will be perfect for spending one or two nights near the park!

First come campground, no reservation camping Found a spot early in the morningQuiet, only 15 sites

Take WATER, NO water at campgroundRock formations are amazing, trails are fun and Joshua trees are coolEasy to drive to other cool places within the parkIf you can, stay here

marlette MARLETTE

The 15 campsites at this first come first serve campground are set among boulders and dynamic rock formations There is no running water but two vault toilets are availableMost of the campsites are close to the road but some are more secluded

There is little to no shade in the sites so plan on bringing an EZ-up or some form of covering during the summer months because the desert temperature can be unbearableThere are two rock attractions (heart rock and arch rocks) nearby and although only campers are supposed to park in the campground there are many hikers who loose their way and find themselves in the campground

Heather Dunmoyer

A great, clean, campsite! Pit toilets and garbage for recycling, trash, and propane Right by the Arch trailhead which is a hike you don’t want to miss The sites each have a picnic table and a pit for fire

The sites are relatively small and close by so you will want to be aware of your noise levels Flat and easy to drive to spots but a bit sandy Overall, great campsite

Already the reception was exceptionally great and professional When we asked why the pool was “closed for maintenance” we got a good explanation Our request for a room change was handled very professionally as well

The ice water with lemons in the hallway was a welcome refreshment when entering or leaving the hotel The hotel itself was quiet (after the room change) and we spent a good night there The location is great if you want to see the Joshua tree park, since the tour through the park is a loop and you can either start or end the loop close to the hotel

Koa-Marie Turner

This hotel has awesome service! I arrived and they gave me an early check-in They waived the parking fee, I think because I was visiting my son who is military The staff was extremely friendly, and room/hotel areas were clean! The complimentary breakfast was good

My one complaint would be the mattress in the room I was in needed to be replaced It kind of sank in and felt like you were sleeping on an incline The hotel waived the parking fee for me which was appreciated! I didn’t ask, I mentioned I was visiting my military son in the area
