Hotel is clean but could use some sprucing up Our room with 2 very comfortable queen beds was large and easy to move around in but the toilet/tub room was very tight The lights by the beds had individual reading lights but they were only on when the big light was on

It was quiet when we were there and we had no problems sleeping The location is very convenient to downtown Stamford and uptown It’s easy to get in and out of and easy to park The staff is pleasant and very helpful It would have been nice if the pool and fitness room had been open

Hannah Kelly

Room was clean and comfortable Standard room included a fridge and microwave Shower pressure was great! Can’t comment on the breakfast because I slept through it- they close at 9:30 on weekdays

Great location through, walking distance from many shops, restaurants, and a grocery store Only criticism of the hotel is that the doors really SLAM shut when you enter or exit your room- maybe not the best place for a light sleeper

Ravisha Ranga

As much as I trust the brand name, this specific branch of the hotel made me highly unhappy with their services The staff didn’t bother to come and attend our cleaning call for a minimum of 1 hour and adding onto that was my unattended request for toiletries The customer services can definitely get better than what they are at the moment!

Stayed one night for an event The room was spacious and clean Was pleasantly surprised to find an air filtration system in the room which worked well for my allergies

The bed was extremely comfortable The event I attended ran flawlessly The staff was friendly and efficient Convenient and pleasant alternative to chain hotels at a very reasonable price

Upon checking in the front desk staff were amazing, vibrant, full of energy and helpful We ordered some food from the bar before going to our room thinking it wouldn’t be too long, maybe 20 to 30 minutes Ended up waiting 45 minutes for a pizza and tacos

Eventually got to the room and the TV didn’t have any sound Ended up fixing it myself after calling guest services and being on hold for a whileWhen opening up the bed, the sheets were filthy and the bed and pillows were full of hair Clearly wasn’t changed after the last guests had been there The front desk attendant (not the ones from check in) tried looking for a new room but apparently couldn’t find anything available I was told they would change the sheets and I requested that the entire bed be redone I was then offered a breakfast voucher but that too was unavailable Ended up not wasting time going down for breakfast

Denise Randolph

So from check in to check out outstanding service We had a Class Reunion that was hosted by the hotel The food drinks special added touches were fabulous

Please don’t hesitate to book an event or just a stay at this hotel It was so nice to see staff go out of their way and be friendly and accommodating We will definitely be back

Where do I startThey said they had parking for me, then denied me when I arrived

45 minute trip each way So after switching vehicles I came back to check in This set the tone for the stayWhen I arrived back to check in I found that they downgraded my corner king to a smaller double queen room Another disappointment immediately following the firstI get to the room andBroken bath tub, no remote for the TV, and someone from the hotel just walked into my room No knock at the door, just walked in At this point I was just annoyed with being there and had wished I’d booked elsewhereI scheduled a 5am pick up for my vehicle from valet They didn’t pass the message along and had to call and get the car brought around pushing me behind scheduleThe only saving grace was the direct interactions with with the staff Very kind, very white glove treatment in personFor the price, I’d go somewhere else If this were a Courtyard or a Fairfield I’d have given it 4 stars still (5 without the walk in) but when you present and bill as a premium then these things shouldn’t happenThat said, the room was very nice in layout and decoration, and again, the customer facing staff were exceptional in person Great location with plenty to do right around the corner

As an ambassador member, I stayed here several times in the past Always good services and enjoyed a nice quiet room to rest But not this time, no one told me there is major drilling construction inside the building just upstairs from my room

Vibrations of the wall and so much noises starting 9am and continued non- stop This totally ruined my stay here Hotel Management should have given a notice of this construction to their customers So if I know I have this much noise banging with vibrations in my room beforehand, I would never book this stay reservation Total disappointment

Adam

The hotel is gorgeous, and the rooms are spaciousThe valet parking service (operated by a 3rd party) is what I have issue with One of the valets released my vehicle to my guest (who’s name was not on my reservation, nor did he have the claim ticket)

He could have been a stranger off the street! This was very wreckless, and resulted in a few dings and scrapes on the vehicle caused by my guest (who is arguably the world’s worst driver) Granted, my guest did not have my permission to take the vehicle, and did so sneakily, he should have never been granted access to it without the claim ticket and or ID to verify that was his vehicle I called the property who forwarded my concern to the valet service and I was promised a call back, but that was never received I was charged $35 for this (dis)-serviceThankfully the vehicle was a rental If I were driving a personal vehicle which I cared for, I would not be comfortable coming back to this property and leaving it with a valet company which apparently could hand your keys out to anyone!

Ft Lee NJ Hyatt Place is a great hotel It’s new (writing this review in 2022) or at least is newly renovated – nice hotel inside and out

Clean facilities, great staff Overall 5 out of 5 stars What I liked: clean towels, clean rooms, clean hotel Decent breakfast although it could be changed up from day to day as eating the same menu every day can get old quickly Parking was easy easy access to the hotel from NJ rt 4What I didn’t like: There is a $10 / day parking charge – no reason for this – it should just be absorbed into the room fee

Chris Hasler

I return to this hotel whenever I visit New York The rooms are very spacious and comfortable You can relax in the rooms without having to sit on the bed

It is an affordable hotel, but has a luxurious feel due to its modern and spacious nature The room service is friendly and accommodating Special mention for Beatrice who is always competent and professional She remembered me from a previous visit and always took the time to acknowledge me

Arex S

Decided to stay here while visiting area on business and I am pleasantly surprise in how clean and spacious this hotel is The front desk team is super polite and welcoming My room is very comfortable and the bathroom including the shower is clean

There is plenty of parking but it comes at a cost of $10/nightThe lobby is very well done with lots of sitting area There is a restaurant on the main floor and it’s open till very late which is a big plus for those of us who work late and don’t want to venture out after a long dayThe hotel is perfectly located near the expressway leading to GW bridgeIf you decide to dine out I have noticed that many restaurants are located within a short 5 min drive

This hotel is in my favorite top 3! It truly deserves 5+ stars! The staff offers top-notch customer service, and the rooms are always very clean The pool is an awesome amenity, as it’s always a comfy warm like temp, and it’s open until 11PM It’s located at a perfect location, making it easy to venture out to go shopping, dine at a wide selection of restaurants, and hit the nightlife if you so please! Hands down, The Sonesta White Plains is absolutely the place to stay when in the downtown White Plains area! Clearly, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel **P

S The beds are SO comfortable!!!

Ajalin Wiackley

Sonesta was the venue for our wedding ceremony and reception They also hosted our room block as well I worked primarily with James for wedding coordination and Bangu for the room block coordination

My husband and I along with many family members and friends stayed at the hotel as well I cannot say enough about this venue and how incredibly happy we were with their service From start to finish, they were extremely helpful, flexible and easy to work with The food was phenomenal, and our guests were extremely pleased with everything provided! The staff was extremely accommodating to all of our guests as well Highly recommend!

Connor Peterson

My wife and I used the Sonesta in White Plains as our hotel both for ourselves and our guests, we also hosted after drinks at the hotel bar and a brunch at the hotel breakfast (we did not have the actual wedding at Sonesta) The staff at the hotel were extremely communicative (special thanks to Amy for handling so many questions with so much grace) The largest suite was the perfect size for the bride and her group to get ready, the smaller suites were a little bit awkwardly laid out and small

The hotel handle the vendors coming in and out of the hotel with ease The bar was the perfect place to host an after drinks celebration and they even stay open and extra hour for us

The Good: The room and hotel were very clean and well maintained Staff were friendly and helpful The bed and bedding were comfortable

The room had just the perfect amount of space, although the tub/shower was cramped (anyone over 5’7″ would have to bend down to get their hair wet) The location of the hotel is good being close to the freeways, and centrally located The Cooper’s Mill restaurant and Ruth’s Chris offer a fair amount of dining options without having to leave the hotel There were blackout curtains on the windows, which was great, but there was still the issue ofThe Bad: There was a good amount of light being cast in the room from the cable box on the back of the TV and the light from under the door Thankfully the location of the bed “hid” a lot of the under-the-door light, but nothing prevented the entire wall from being lit up from the green light from the cable box A recent study found that any amount of light in a room is enough to prevent a deep sleep, and I have always found this to be true In this case, it resulted in me never getting a solid night’s sleep and being generally grogging for the four days I was there And this was further exacerbated byThe Ugly: The walls are insanely thin Two of my nights ended up being late nights due to neighbors talking on their phones At first I thought they were just overly loud, but I don’t think this was true, just the lack of soundproofing in the walls Thankfully they retired by 10:30, but this was far later than I wanted to go to sleep (had to wake up at 4am the second time)

Mel Hess

5 night stay Screwed up reservation (wrong dates) Pool closed-appears to be a months-long issue with little effort toward resolution

Needed hotel maintenance to get in room (dead battery on door lock), next two days had to be rekeyed due to hotel requiring appearance at the desk to run credit card Hotel posts the weather at two entrances-forecast was six months old-tells you right away what the attention to detail is Titanium Elite member-never recognized by the staff Fitness area was once top of class; unfortunately at least four of the weight machines are in need of significant maintenance Aerobics equipment is state of the art Good location, the base restaurant is good (but expensive); not sure if the Ruth Chris restaurant is even open Housekeeping did a good job and worked around our schedule, and everything in the room worked Acceptable hotel for business trip but not up to the Marriott standard

Pete P

This is standard Marriott I’m very happy that the services are coming back after Covid! They actually have two redtaurant/bars! A Ruth’s Chris open seven days for dinner, and Copper’s Mill open 6 days a week for breakfast and dinner Quick and courteous staff

The rooms will need a refresh soon I prefer showers over bath tubs that I never use and are not very safe!

A hidden gem! The MTK hotel ( formerly Holiday Inn) was a perfect place for my business trip Not knowing the area well, the hotel offered everything I needed The restaurant was wonderful

Make sure to see Ed in the restaurant! He will make sure you don’t go hungry And will ensure he sets your ordered meal aside should you have to arrive late Just call ahead The hotel is very clean and well appointed The room was very comfortable and quiet Will have my staff use this hotel when traveling in the region

Brenda deGraw

It was expensive The food was awful for the cost I was disturbed by being stuck with vehicle breakdown and they brought us there closest to Meineke garage

I had two children No room service No continental breakfast past 9amSnacks were outrageous Yet they did give me milk for the little guy A very expensive trip to see my daughter in prison It was a disaster

Briana Post

Hotel MTK has fake pictures up with a description of “renovated” when it in fact has not been The manager says he begs corporate to take down the fake pictures and they refuse When you open the door you’re hit in the face with 50 year old cigarette must and mold smell

The lights are so dim you can’t see a thing inside The curtains don’t close The 50 year old wall unit struggles to spit out musty air but it’s still hot and muggy in the room The TV is an original flatscreen and can’t handle the way cable looks know so it hurts your eyes to look at it It sounds like people are inside your room when they walk by Doors slamming all night and early morning Want a migraine in the morning? This place is for youThey apologized the next morning and offered to refund me the night (I booked 4 nights) but instead they never checked me out and charged me $70575 for one horrible night

Hotel is nice Breakfast is good Hotel staff are really friendly and nice

The only issue is the rugs There are stains everywhere In the halls and in the rooms(I stayed there twice) The stains make it feel like it’s not clean(though it is) I just don’t understand why they can’t clean the rugs better or replace them It really makes you feel gross especially in the rooms, I don’t want to walk on stains

Maureen Watkins

I don’t check out for another two days but I feel pressed to leave feedback so others are aware of what to expect when booking this locationI’ll start with the pros:-very friendly staff-excellent locationThe cons:- The hotel has a dingy feel to it From the dirty carpet odors to the stains on the upholstery both in the lobby and our room, I personally did not feel comfortable sitting anywhere (other than our bed) for too long

It doesn’t matter how clean a room is; seeing stains on a hotel room couch is a red flag- The bathrooms (one family and two regular restrooms) on the lobby floor need to be better maintained On two occasions my daughters and I found that every single bathroom was dirty, complete with leftover feces staining the toilet bowls and toilet paper all over the floors- I’m highly disappointed in the fact that the indoor pool is not available while we’re here My husband is in the area for a work trip and asked the kids and I to tag along I went out of my way to find a well-rated hotel with a pool so I could easily keep the little ones occupied Needless to say that plan fell through I get that some things are just out of one’s control but since the hotel has a website, the right thing to do would have been to post that on their site Had I seen it mentioned online, we would’ve booked elsewhere But to list an indoor pool as one of the available amenities only for that to be untrue is deceitful at bestHopefully management addresses these matters soon Until then, we will be looking elsewhere

Alex Schwartz

This really is a great example of the Hyatt Place brand These are no frill hotels, but this location is relatively new, in a great location surrounded by an outdoor mall with restaurants, and staffed by really friendly folks The room received was a large king room with a pull out sofa

Everything Was really clean and the temperature control worked just fine On checking out of the hotel, I left my AirPods in my room and the assistant general manager was able to personally walk me back to the room so that I could recover them Big thanks to everyone working there for a great stay

Nice facility Getting to it from the road is a little difficult as there is a median in front of the entrance (can only access the entrance when driving north) Rooms are comfortable, but the suite only has a thermostat in the bedroom, so the sitting area can get cold or hot, depending on the season

The Bistro has a very limited selection

Amber Kusmenko

THIS HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE A POOL If you book quickly like I did based off the Google maps images that pop up for the listing, plus the first review they show (which mentions the pool), you will be both disappointed and embarrassed to find the pool was taken out Either Google or the hotel (not sure of the process here?) should update the listing

The staff was very friendly and helpful It was also very quiet which was nice The room was definitely a bit dated though

The bathroom door also wouldn’t close because it was stuck on the floor I’m not sure if they hung it too low or why it did that I loved how instead of the bland scrambled eggs you get at every other hotel they had fried eggs that actually had some flavor

T.J. Laurendeau

4 years ago we came from Virginia to bring our daughter to college and stayed here Throughout those four years we returned many times every year to watch her play her sport and every time we came, we stayed here Every single time we were greeted with smiling faces from the courteous employees

The rooms have always been clean and the breakfast was always delicious Our daughter is graduating this weekend so it may be a while before we return, but I promise when we come back to New York we will be staying here Thanks for taking such good care of us over the years

Brett

Solid option in western Yonkers with friendly staff and good, on-site management Best overall of the 3 hotels in this office park, imho Could use a little updating overall but clean and everything in working condition for the most part (shower head)

Breakfast served at 6a every day, windows open and fellow guests have been reasonably quiet & respectful in my experience, over multiple visits Slightly nicer rooms at the Courtyard across the street but this place wins on service

Spooky Historic and romantic Just what we wanted for our first anniversary

The staff was very friendly The outdoor pool/jacuzzi/bar was so relaxing and pretty We walked the halls and grounds late at night and got the feel of the place Room was clean and spacious Expensive stay but well worth the experience for a night or a few

Tony D

The rooms are super clean The staff is very nice The building is really cool

The staff will show you around if you ask It would be cool if they had a self guided tour The grounds are awesome The pool (and hotub) is only open till 6? (my only complaint) This is a cool place for a quiet night Tarrytown is a pretty quiet place, not a whole lot to do besides tour some other mansions The hotel restaurant is a work in progress, they are still recovering from COVID rules designed to put them out of business You can dine”privately” but that’s kinda dumb

Wendy Tyson-Wood

Beyond exceptional it was all that and more #1 love was the safety #2 service Brian, Bryan and manger Ceaser as well as all the staff were beyond accommodating, #3 which could easy be #1 the lodging – rooms are to die for, location centrally and close to the city, and the ground are impeccable I didnt want to share a review, but i had to say THANK YOU!! OUR 4O PLUS LADIES RETREAT and Birthday celebration WAS A SUCCESS, because of you!!!

Overall, this is a cool hotel It’s a nice modern, eclectic and funky hotel with the most technical bathroom I’ve ever seenThe pool area is very nice except they should make the music louder to drown out the highway sound since the hotel does sit right off of the highway

The big problem with this hotel is the noise level in the rooms I’ve been told by a friend of mine that if you have a room overlooking the courtyard, you will hear a lot of noise Well, my room was overlooking Tony’s restaurant on the upper floor That wasn’t the issue but the front desk people were You could hear them laughing at 6:00 am My room was closest to the desk The walls are very thin so you can hear everythingOther than that it was a pleasant stay and Tony’s restaurant was superb as was the bar Thursday nights are crowded and fun I would go back again but I would ask for a more quiet location for my room

Felayne Cruz

The vibe gave us modern chic! This is more for couples and adult (girls trips) not family oriented Definitely $$$$My husband and I stayed Friday – Sunday and nights were litt ! All of their party rooms were booked each night There was a lot of incoming but the rooms were sound proof so we didn’t mind

– rooms are small and equipped with the basics , they have TOTO toilets we love those lol-The restaurant requires reservations but you can just sit at the bar-breakfast is included but the menu included -Fresh fruit , coffee ,cereal, boiled, eggs, yogurt, pastries and orange juice! They have a separate breakfast menu where you can buy breakfast sandwiches! At a good price and amazing quality(Their premium coffee was good)

While this is a remodeled Howard Johnson’s from years back, it is now the coolest hotel in Greenwich They did a fantastic job converting this into a modern boutique type hotel Very well done

Our room was amply sized with modern technology throughout Loved it Highly recommended The attached restaurant (Tony’s) is also one of the hippest restaurants in Greenwich

Booked this hotel via a 3rd party booking service, and there was a glitch in the app so when we got to the hotel, the rates were different because it was a weekend Spoke to the front desk attendant about the issue, and while very courteous, they could only lower our rate by $20 that evening based on their rates, which was $100 over our initial booking rate Since we were from out of state and celebrating our Anniversary, we decided to stay, as we wanted to begin our night of relaxing and quality time

That weekend, there happened to be a big wedding hosted at the hotel, so we ended up across the hall from rowdy guests Not the hotels fault Staff was very attentive and professional The room was really great Beautiful decor and very clean We easily got to the train station 5 minutes away and were in Times Square in 40 minutes The following day, we toured New Rochelle, which was nice, a lot of hand painted murals to see, and a diversity of food choices Nice weekend get away

The noise from band is horrible I like to have a good time too and chose this hotel due to its proximity to I 95 Traveling and needed sleep

This you do not get here If I had known it was going to be this noisy, I would not have stayed If you are looking for a nice place to rest while traveling, this is not the place to stop You would be better off sleeping in your car

I love this hotel the beds were fantastic

The air conditioning worked very well all night long The room had a combo of tile and laminate flooring which was very clean! No yucky wall to wall carpet hiding God knows what It’s an older hotel that has been well maintained and renovated It feels modern and fresh The rooms are nicely decorated with new and modern furniture but it doesn’t feel cold The rooms are bright with huge windows and lots of sufficient lighting The front desk staff couldn’t be any more pleasant and accommodating The price was great We had 2 beds in the room Shower had a rainshower head and a regular one ! Check out is noon! How civilized This Marriott will be our go to when heading to southern CT or NY Thanks for a great stay!
