This was the most economical option for our family vacation We got more than what we expected! I loved making breakfast in the fully equipped kitchenette and the proximity to the beach is excellet! It was cozy and relaxing to hear the ocean from our room The management was kind and courteous

We will definitely stay again if we revisit Ocean Shores

#1: the staff were exceptional Check-in was fast and easy The front desk staff were ALWAYS friendly, professional, and helpful

Every staff member we met was friendly and polite We stayed during a busy sold-out summer weekend, and the staff handled everything/everyone with a smile The lady managing the breakfast buffet hustled so much and keep everything stocked and everyone happy – all with a smile and a friendly comment#2: the entire property was very clean and well-maintained All public areas were very clean, and our room was spotless#3: we had a double-Queen “suite” with a separate sitting area, and the room felt very spacious, even with 2 adults and 2 kids!We will definitely be coming back…

The staff is awesome The rooms are clean but starting to show some need for updating cracked plaster, patched tubs, and the mattresses are so soft its fine for sleeping but when you on a romantic adventure it makes for less then ideal conditions for getting to business The hot tub rooms are nice but need new mattresses bad

The location is nice because its right next to most shoppes and stuff but also next to the train Breakfast was good! Staff are responsive when you have an issue and willing to fix the issue if you call them

Ricki Frasier

My overall experience summed up I’d give it a shoulder shrug eh, it wasn’t bad, I still enjoyed myself, the room was alright, it seemed clean, my biggest complaint and biggest problem was the room smell, I had 1 of the rooms with the jacuzzi tub, and I think maybe the carpet has gotten wet overtime cause it’s a very strong mildew/mold smell My nose was very unhappy and stuffy while in the room, the jacuzzi part of the tub didn’t work, and both of the phones didn’t work when we tried to call front desk so we used our cell phone I would give a full rating to the staff, 10/10 the guy that helped us was really nice, and super helpful, the maintenance guy tried to fix the tub and he was very nice, the gal working breakfast was also very nice

They gave us a bit of a discount and offered us a discount for our next stay, which I’ll likely give them another shot cause they weren’t bad The room smell is literally the only problem that really bothered me during my stay that would make me hesitant to stay again, because I have asthma

I would give this zero stars if I had the option! If you are looking for a over priced dive motel then this is the place for you Rooms are not clean (found broken glass and someone else’s under garments under the bed), staff is unfriendly, was over charged for my room, when brought the mistake to the managers attention was told I would receive a refund Instead of a refund I received more charges after we checked out

My 2 night stay in a dirty room with very little supplies ( we had to ask for toilet paper as the room didn’t have any) cost me a total of $51403 Save your money there are much nicer rooms in the area!

We had a great experience with Breakers Boutique Inn, from a smooth check-in, friendly staffs to a very fun go-kart We arrived really late but they called to check with us, then they waited till we arrived to make sure we check-in our room We stayed at the family suite room, very spacious and clean suite with 4 bedrooms, 1 & 1/2 baths and a full equipped kitchen

Thank you for a warm welcome, we will be back whenever we’re in town

Laura Good

We took our girls on a little weekend trip and stayed here, first off if you are looking for friendly, nice, do anything to make your stay wonderful people this is the place, they put eggs out for a little Easter egg hunt And the eagles are so close was nice to see them everyday They also have Go-Karts

We will be staying here again and might even make that our go to place anytime we’re there

The James Gang

Child at the check-in desk before an adult showed up Tried checking in at 5:30 was asked to wait 20 minutes because room wasn’t ready

Resident in the next room over played extremely loud music ALL DAY until I called the front desk at midnight Music was turned down somewhat but could still hear it along with several loud people in the room Partying stopped around 5-6am Not sure if they’re tweakers or what My husband and I got a couple hours of sleep No fire extinguisher in a room with a cooktop Basically paid $100 to be kept awake by strangers

I don’t even know where to start with how disgusting this hotel is Our room was not vacuumed from the last hotel guest There was dirty napkins and food on the floor

Along with sticky tables The pull out bed had stains all over it and didn’t come with sheets or pillows The beds are held up by 2x4s and they stick out from the bed for you to crack your ankles on over and over I told staff and they acted like they knew nothing about it yet we had 2 other parties staying with us and their rooms had the same issues The beds are also air mattress or something similar Our blow dryer had wires exposed and shot sparks out They do not offer internet like it is advertised I doesn’t work Staff was so unprofessional, no uniforms and no one at the front desk 98% of the time The elevator broke down over and over and forced is to use the stairs My father was stuck on the elevator No apologies for any of this

Kristin Jensen

Positives: our room was quite spacious (enough for 2 queen beds though there was only one), and it also had a nice table/ 2 chairs and sitting area (couch/chair) Bed was comfortable Good water pressure for sink/shower

Staff were friendly Breakfast was good- waffles, cereal, eggs, toast, juice, etcNegatives: small things- bath towels were a little small, one piece of the stone baseboard was broken in the bathroom, and there was a large tear in one of the thin curtains (not the thick privacy ones though)Overall great value for the cost Would stay again

Renee Boettger

I took my youngest child to Ocean Shores to celebrate their “21” b’day We stayed at BayVue because it offered a hot breakfast, heated pool, and was within walking distance to the bar and the beach and with a decent price tag! The staff were thoughtful doing more than just the required work! Thankfully they were true to their advertisement as the morning after the waffles, eggs, bacon, muffin, good coffee woke us up enough to take a walk on the beach When we got back we took a swim and the water was amazing! If you’re never stayed there give it a try

I called early looking for a room to check in same day, early check in I’d had an unpleasant experience at a local hotel and wanted to relocate myself and small kids quickly The gal at front desk went above and beyond

She was so helpful, welcoming, and accommodating She got me into a very clean and cozy room within hours It didn’t stop there She was friendly and helpful with literally everything up until checkout As for the facility, it was cute and one of the cleanest hotels I’d visited I will 100% return for and ocean shores visit and will absolutely recommend Thank you for making our visit a good memory for me and my twins

Elise Cuentas

We recently stayed in a 2 bed/2bath room here and it was wonderful! I didn’t realize it’s a time share type situation when we booked it, but it was great The room was super clean, had great views out of the back and the pool/hot tub were awesome The beach was within walking distance and we found so many sand dollars

No complaints at all, and we will definitely choose this again!

Patricia Reda

Have trekked to the beach for over 50 yrs and have usually stayed at The Canterbury Inn It has changed remarkably through the years to date Always clean and feel very safe especially since the pandemic

In spite of shortage of help through all of Ocean Shores, The Canterbury remains top notch in cleanliness and care for all their visitors Everyone is very helpful and friendly and if anything is needed, they accommodate A very quiet, serene spot when we go which is usually early spring, fall and winter months

The room was clean for the most part, the bed did have a little bit of sand on it thoughThe man at the front desk was very helpful Our room got booked a month later than we planned so he got us one of the two extra rooms the hotel keeps free

Kaleigh Kirschbaum

Rooms were dirty Hair in the tub and something splattered on the walls The beds and pillows were hard and so uncomfortable

People above us were partying until 4 am and it was very loud I’d say if you’re not able to afford anything thing else this is the place for you but if you can splurge $100 more dollars do it Absolutely horrible!

It was very modern and the decor was super cute! It was clean with hardwood floors You could tell it was new, even the hair dryer was still in the box The mini fridge was a great size! You can even log into your Netflix or Hulu and set the day/time you want the TV to reset so it won’t keep you logged in

It was easy to check in, even though it’s all done electronically You get an email with your door code and walk right into your room, then check out with about 2 pushes of a button from your phone Easy!My only disappointment is that I didn’t see any beverage machines outside for that later night time-frame, it is only available inside, which is locked probably by like 10pm, if I had to guessOtherwise, everything was great!

This place is really cool! It has a great variety for lodging- tent camping, covered sites, RV sites, bunkhouse, and private rooms The amenities are awesome and well cared for as well Great vibes- live music, fire pits, beer on tap

The best part though is the the staff! They are so accommodating and seem truly invested in the guest experience The manager, Liz, went above and beyond for us The best customer service I’ve ever experienced

Cindy QT

The staff is ANAZING!! I dare you to find anyone better than Emily From the moment we arrived until we left she was all smiles and welcoming She remembered my dogs mane and said hi to her each time she saw her

I was expecting the room to be small and it was but we didn’t need much more The bed is a memory foam and you really sink in Sucks if you’re a plus size person The fold out bed/couch is very old and worn My teen son also in it and didn’t sleep well You could hear everything between our run and the nextEverything!! But I to other guests and they didn’t have the problem with their rooms The host was very apologetic and told us that it’s just these 2 runs and they’ll soon be updating them The facility itself is the BEST in Westport! We will stay here everything we come to Westport!

Jeremy Breedveld

Stayed here with some friends for a night and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay The staff, especially Emily, were super helpful, professional, and kind Our room was clean and had everything that we needed, and the community room was rad! We rented wetsuits and surf boards for a day and the prices were very reasonable and convenient

Highly recommend this place!

An absolute nightmare! It was so bad I’m not even sure where to begin The walls are incredibly thin It was impossible to sleep when you could hear conversation taking place all around you

They allow pets, which I suppose is good if you need that but we could definitely smell the previous pets that had stayed there We got really unlucky when a family came in late Saturday night and decided to play fetch with their dog in their room until 2am Oddly enough they woke us around 6am again when they started yelling at the kids to hurry up and packThis place has a number you’re supposed to text for everything but they never responded We were left without any help the entire weekend as they just ignored our questionsOur friends parents both fell down the stairs because they are rotting, the wood is extremely soft Between those stairs needing repair and all the repairs needed in the rooms it’s pretty clear this place doesn’t careUnless your looking for a place to hide and do dope I’d suggest looking elsewhere for a decent place to stay Nothing about the place hit the mark The parking is awful, the service is non-existent, the rooms are dated and smell, and you can forget sleeping with how thin the walls areSide note for whoever gets the rooms ready, maybe don’t turn the heater full blast, and if you really want to, maybe open the bedroom door so its not freezing it’s not that hard

Came into town for my birthday weekend, a 20yr reunion and much needed visit to the coast This was an AMAZING experience! Truly-the staff went above and beyond making sure we had a great room, we were nearby our reunion peeps, and that the Amazon packages I had sent there all made it and placed in our room They even called to confirm their arrival which I was worried about so I very very much appreciated that! Cynthia and all the staff were so friendly and genuinely cared about our stay-we already booked with them for next summer as well and will be their customers every trip! Great space in the rooms, very clean, breakfast in the mornings and walkable to the beach

Thank you thank YOU to all the staff for helping it be one of the best weekends ever and we will be so happy and excited to be back and stay here!!

Carrie M

Beautiful and clean rooms and the staff were amazing! I met Suzanne, the GM and I can’t think of anyone nicer that I’ve met in a long time The view was outstanding I loved having the microwave and fridge with a FREEZER

My only small complaint is the lack of insulation The doors are very heavy and slam and I could hear people showering as well as “other” noises I’ll still come back though They make ear plugs for a reason!

Nanci Taplett

Things have definitely changed since the pandemic Let me break it down:1 People were super friendly and nice

Everyone I interacted with was just plain nice and helpful2 The room was definitely dated It was almost clean Most people wouldn’t notice the things I do so for most people it might be ok The floor wasn’t fully swept and the room wasn’t dusted The beds were clean They weren’t the best for comfort They use the shorty pillows We had two queen beds I have a hard time thinking these were real queens They seemed shorter than normal We never could get the right temperature It was either too hot or cold There was plenty of hot water so that was awesome The door to the ocean was rusty and we had a hard time opening it It was super noisy You could hear the kids either under or over usmaybe it was to the side of us They must have a herd of baby elephants! The fireplace doesn’t produce heat, it is a light just for show We had a microwave, a tiny coffee maker and a fridge3 The pool, sauna, restaurant, and hot tub were all closed so that sucked The grab-and-go breakfast was just ok I would love to see the hot options written down so I can choose They was some cereal, instant oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, and muffins4 The elevator was terrible It took forever to close The gutters need cleaning I got extremely wet putting some garbage in the can There was never any handicapped parking for my husband who can’t walk The ice machine wasn’t working at full capacity The hotel is close to the beach and offers a beautiful view with the sights and smellsAll-in-all it was ok for the price we paid, $150 per night for 2 queens We would probably stay there again I sure wish more care for maintenance had been done during some of the slower times I understand that owners don’t like to invest but this could use some sprucing
