the rooms were comfortableNot just a bed but coach , table, kitchen Services I had to ask everytime if I needed something

Then never came into our room to clean until the 3rd day stayI had actually ask the nice woman to clean and restock towels, which remind you had to run to lobby to grab extra after day one Sorry woman I use 2 and my husband needed only one They if you need to take another shower to go out later in the evening, due being to warm in VAI feel if someone stays 1 or 2 nights should have more then 4 towels One little hooked in the bathroom for those who say reuse Hard when you can’t hang them to dry Otherwise bathroom was cutie with glass doors for stand up shower!

we had a issue when we first got herebut the front end girl had it resolved in a matter of minutesjust relocated us to the 8th floorand we got inand then there was another thing But the front desk girl had it resolved while we went swimming in the pooland by time we got back to the 8th floor Everything was fixed and we went on to meet family and friends at a nearby place for dinnerand now we’re having breakfast before going swimming again with the grand son

This is a great hotel for families visiting DC It is right next to the Metro but also has a great vibe to do a night or 2 in downtown Alexandria We had small children so the hot continental breakfast was great with plenty of options and the menu changed daily

We also had connecting rooms which was easy to have privacy but our children close by with a door inside our room to our adjoining room I would definitely stay here again Although the hotel had an older model vibe being in downtown Alexandria I thought overall cleanliness was great and they were even able to accommodate an early check in due to our flight being early

Amazing stay! Best quality of service I have ever had and will be recommending this hotel to everyone I know because of how great the staff was We had a problem with checking in (on our side) and they were so accommodating and helpful Parking was great, the free breakfast was better than I expected, the location could not have been beat anywhere, is it was on the most walkable street I have ever been on and right next to the metro so it was as easy as it could be to get into DC

Special shout out to Tina and Janette for being so helpful! Hampton Inn is lucky to have you 🙂

Laurie Steinke

Perfect location for visiting DC area!A rough beginning but not due to hotel The electricity was due to be turned off around midnight until morning We were properly informed, given advice about air conditioning, and given a flashlight for safety in the room

The breakfast is the BEST I have ever had in a hotelhot foods (eggs, potatoes, bacon), fresh fruit in individual cups, yogurt, oatmeal, waffles, pastries, etcI can’t imagine not being able to find something for everyone It was kept fresh and stocked They even had water bottles that we could take with us on our sight seeing journeys Room was clean and sanitized Elevator is a bit slow We parked one night at the hotel Do NOT drive a large car into the garageit was built for compact cars King Metro station just a few blocks away Very safe walking day and night We took Metro to and from airport Very convenient Hotel on King Street We walked both night and day up and down the entire street Felt very safe Ate at local restaurantsgreat variety This hotel has it all!

The price of the room is what got us to stay here, room was OK However they charged an additional $100 deposit that they mentioned NO WHERE on the website and the desk clerk claimed it would go away once they checked our room upon check out It’s been 3 days and the charge is STILL on my friends account

If we had an extra 100 bucks to throw around we wouldn’t have looked for a cheaper hotel Not everyone can just wait days and days to get that money back these days Especially when our room was left in perfect condition Doubtful we will stay again Even the VERY nice hotels in the harbor don’t charge 100 deposit 🙄

I plan on staying here again when next in the area This hotel stay was great for a number of reasons The desk attendants were polite, the room was very clean, and the breakfast was exactly what I needed to get me going on the morning with good protein options

While the hotel is somewhat worn, it is well maintained and clean My only complaint with the facility is that all entry doors are not useable from the outside except for the lobby entrance This hotel has a lot going for it and only minor “issues” that would not bump this from the top of my list of places to stay in the area

I can’t speak highly enough about the staff, management and service! Not only is this hotel clean, updated and in a great location, but it’s well-run hotel, the team here doesn’t take anything lightly All concerns were addressed immediately and they were most helpful and compassionate when I experienced a personal emergency The front desk, maintenance and management were all very kind and I will never forget my experience here! Highly recommend, will be returning! Thank you~

Ahmed Al Bayati

Check in was smooth, I arrived earlier then the schedule and they were able to find me a room The room was clean overall, but had a couple of missing things here and there With a simple phone to the service desk they were able to get it

Daily housekeeping service, the housekeepers are wonderful and honestly that’s why I put the 4 stars It’s all for the housekeepers! Full kitchen is provided, location is great The gym is alright, only dumbbells and cardio (not expecting anything more) Overall great! Front desk staff were also great

The hotel was clean and well-maintained Breakfast was decent, typical hotel breakfast It was disappointing that the pool was closed

The website did note this, which I appreciate The room is a fair size and we had all of our amenities The location was good Places to eat were nearby The parking lot was well lit at night Staff was pleasant enough

Duane Shurow

Booked a standard room for my wife and I and an accessible room for my parents They had difficulty finding the accessible room, even though I had a confirmation number Eventually gave us a room on the 4th floor

I asked if it was ‘accessible’ and was told “yes, it’s hearing accessible” Hotel was fully booked and that room was all that was available Thankfully, the room was very very nice and the beds very comfortable – so my parents didn’t mind a little inconvenienceYou are required to leave a separate deposit upon registering that is returned “in 3 to 5 business days” – not a big deal – but a little oddAttempted to charge some snacks to my room and was told that I did not have a card on fileeven though I booked the room with a cardand left a deposit for a cardRoom service was provided, which was appreciated, but did not replace towels or replace the coffeePool is closed indefinitelyNice hotel, good location, very comfortable rooms Would have given this 4 stars but too many of the little things seem to be missing Would probably try them again

NEVER AGAIN! I cannot believe how rude the staff was First, we took our kids to the pool at 9am (the signs at the pool said open 9a-10p) The door was locked

My husband went to the front desk where the manager was, to which the manager replied that it doesn’t open until 10am My husband questioned why the sign was wrong, and the manager stated he “DOES NOT HAVE TO update the paper”, he “only has to update the time on the website”, and had no plans to fix the sign (it was just a piece of paper printed off of the computer)The next day, I went down to the lobby to request a set of towels My husband and I were traveling with our children, and routine maid service is no longer existent during stays (only available upon request) I asked the woman at the front for 6 bath towels (for our showers that night) and she told me I “DID NOT NEED 6 TOWELS” and that she would only be giving me 4!? When additionally saying I would like one for my hair, she LITERALLY TOLD ME I DID NOT NEED A TOWEL FOR MY HAIR I was completely floored I am still trying to process that this woman spoke to me like a child and told me what I needed and did not need She refused me towels just wow Would she like us to share towels??The hotel is nice, but the level of service was terrible I can’t believe the rudeness coming from two people in the hospitality industry, let alone just two human beings in general

I love staying at the Residence Inn Alexandria Old Town when I’m in town for business The rooms are always clean and comfortable, and the staff is super friendly and helpful I really appreciate the free breakfast – it’s a great way to start the day and catch up on work

And the location is perfect – right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Alexandria!Rooms are spacious and generally well-equipped Very quiet in the room — couldn’t hear anything from anywhere else in the hotel, which was nice Very clean as well!

Ruth Hartgen

I was so impressed with this hotel and felt compelled to write a review Specifically, I wanted to give a big ‘thank you!’ to Pam at the front desk When my husband and I were checking in for our stay, she was actually done with her shift and about to leave, but she graciously stayed and helped us check in

It’s getting harder and harder to find examples of great customer service but Pam really stood out She has a great sense of humor and was very personable The hotel itself was very clean and the lobby market (with food/snacks/drinks) was well stocked This will be my go-to hotel in Old Town!

Scot Sample

The staff is truly the best! I can not say how friendly and great they were to deal with Pam at the front counter went above and beyond helping me extend my stay During breakfast be ready to have at least 5 people working there telling you good morning

Breakfast was hot and usually the same every morning The room was great, never heard anyone above or next to us The location was great, easy walk to the metro and trolley

The staff at this hotel deserves an award! Every person I met was so helpful and friendly My room was very clean, the check-in process was seamless, and storing/picking up my luggage after checkout took less than one minute each way I was staying there for work and not focused on my hotel stay, but the incredible staff really made me stop and appreciate how nice it was

I would highly recommend choosing this hotel over others in the same price range if you’re planning a trip to National Harbor Thank you for a lovely stay and kudos to the staff and management!

Michelle Emeh

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hampton We were greeted and welcomed by a lovely front desk clerk I’m sorry I didn’t get her name but I wanted to lift her up

She was pleasant, professional and polite We arrived prior to check in and was pleasantly surprised that our room was ready The room and bathroom was clean and airy and it came equipped with a microwave/refrigerator The beds were super comfortable Breakfast was good, I personally don’t eat huge breakfast but all the amenities were in place to do so I loved the surrounding area, shops, restaurants etc etc We will definitely return Thank you Hampton Inn & Suites for a pleasant stay!!!

E Odum

The hotel had only one operating elevator average wait time was 5 minutes We opted for parking validation for the three nights we stayed However we ended up having to pay an extra $15 because our parking card was cut early

When presented to the manager, the best she could offer us was to call the parking garage owner There’s no number on the ticket or on St George’s site to contact anyone Our bathroom was not clean there was hair in the shower and on the floor The hotel offered no way to get change for the washer and dryer The best they could tell me was to go to cvs and get change The only good thing about this hotel was the location That’s why I gave them a two We will definitely consider other hotels in the area the next time we visit

We were without electricity at our house for several days We spent one night at this Hampton Inn, and it was by far the best experience we had trying to deal with hotels in the aftermath of the winter snowstorm They were courteous, efficient, and friendly

As odd as I might have thought it to have to include this criteria in my rating – they were the only hotel for which we used a booking site and the hotel actually had the room that we booked, so they are doing *something* better than the other hotels The rooms and common areas were clean and well maintained The beds were comfortable The bathrooms were modern and pleasant They provided the service we needed when we desperately needed it, and they smiled and were extra helpful while they we doing it – which puts them ahead of most of the other hotels we tried to deal with while our power was out Great job We will look here first, next time we need a local room

Rob

Don’t have anything to complain about besides breakfast always running out of eggs Not a huge deal, there was always a lot of people waking up at the same time Rooms were super clean and nice and staff was more than helpful and even open to conversation in the lobby

Convenient to a few restaurants in the area Good for a “passing by” type of stop

We used to love this hotel but not so much anymore!!! It has gone downhill! The lobby is & has always been beautiful that’s probably the only plus The room was dated, shower wasn’t clean The TV didn’t work at all the whole entire time we were there! I called the front desk they didn’t have a maintenance man to repair it

Thank God we had our laptop we had to watch movies on my laptop! I told the front desk the next day they pretty much blew it off and didn’t care As far as the “Garden Sleep System beds” they were non existent!!!! We’ve stayed at this hotel before We usually stay there when visiting family & when we’ve stayed before they had the “Garden Sleep System beds” you used to be able to adjust the bed to your own comfort how ever firm or soft you wanted the bed They no longer have these beds unless they are only in a few rooms but they sure as hell weren’t in our room & our beds were hard as a rock not comfortable at all!!!!!

David Hughes

Had a great experience I was able to check in via the app digital key sent straight to my phone So walk right past the front desk

App can help you find your room your phone is your key to your room, hotel, fitness center, & pool Unfortunately the pool area is currently closed for maintenance 😕 but other than that 👍🏻 close to dining 🍽 shopping 🛍 movies 🎬 🎞Like &follow for more Thanks for reading Safe travels 🙏

Room was huge, mostly clean, had a Keurig coffee maker in the room; the free coffee in the lobby was good as well Hotel could use an update Very pricey for what you get

Warning there are 2 separate breakfast options: continental (bagels, toast, yogurt, juices and oatmeal) or made to order (eggs, bacon, sausage waffle etc…) $1200 and $1299 I believe were the charges There were no signs to tell you the options or the cost Was not told when I checked in that they were both basically the same price Was shocked when I received a bill for toast, oatmeal, and coffee for $2500 (there were two in my party) Front desk hospitality… in a word – lacking Wait staff hospitality – Excellent! Location is perfect

Staff at front desk were super friendly when we checked in Room was nice and a good size Parking was behind the building across the street

Only bad parts that took a star away was the counter of the kitchen in our room was sticky, we found a few hairs on the bathroom counter and in a towel, and there was no dish soap to wash dishes, only the machine soap for the dishwasher Would stay here again!

Hotel accommodations were wonderful However the family above us kept letting their children jump off the bed onto the floor and had TV up so loud we could hear it Called front desk 3 times and even though “security” was sent up the disturbance continued

When asked to be moved to another room we were told that was not an option Hotel staff could clearly have cared less, but the room itself was nice I would know, I was up literally all night and got to look at it in great detail

Raquel Seymone

Well appointed suites great for short term stays Conveniently located in Ritchie Station so it’s surrounded by grocery stores, restaurants, and retailSufficient on site parking with roaming security

Housekeeping is only available every 4th night I extended my stay by one additional night for a total of 5 nights but was told I couldn’t get housekeeping because my original stay wasn’t 4 nights Very Disappointed in how that was handled, but overall the staff I encountered at check in and throughout the stay was kind and professional

Mic Warren

Some of the people were great but some just don’t seem to care, we told them many times while we were there that our room smelled of smoke and one of the nice people brought us an air freshener It helped a little bit but we found that the smell came back over and over again, we found that the smell was embedded in all the fabric of the room and the vents were filled with tar (dripped out when wet), they didn’t do anything or switch our room so we moved to a different hotel completely

I showed up there with a family of 4 and 4 cats for a week while we waited to move into our home The staff is amazing! Everyone who walked in was greeted with a smile at the front desk The breakfast staff was out ensuring tables were cleaned after guests ate and keeping fresh food out

The maintenance crew quickly responded to our AC unit issue The housekeeping staff gave me items to help keep the mess down in our room to a minimum since we had so many animals present Its in a great location with access to a variety of food and shopping options I would recommend anyone visiting the area to stay here (especially if you have pets)

Nicole Parker

Enjoyed staying here The customer service was spot on! Reason for 4 star — while overall the hotel is clean, I had a few stray hairs in my linen and shower walls Hotel is conveniently located near eateries and grocery stores — Chick Fil a and Target are less than 5 minutes away

Love that the pool is indoors Digital check in/out is also a bonus!

I’m an elite member This location was 45 minutes from where I needed to be, however after reading the comments for the hotels in DC, decided to drive a little extra and pray for a good nights sleep at this Holliday Inn in Waldorf

I’m so glad I did! Room was quiet and clean Special thanks to Emanuel at the front desk Prompt, Polite, Professional young man Keep up the good work

I rarely write reviews but my husband and I just had a wonderful stay at the Lorien We only did 1 night but we wish we could have stayed longer The hotel was immaculate

The room was spacious, updated and clean Extremely comfortable We travel often btwn TX and NJ and this is a great , convenient pit stop I should also add that we are traveling with our dog and it’s a perfect walkable neighborhood

It was a bit overrated They charge for EVERYTHING, and really you can’t tell why For a Spa the TOWELS in the room were rough, the beds are NOT Queens they are Doubles, they only have double beds at the elevator and in adjoining rooms, I have request for neither and could not be accommodated

There were some staff that were very helpful and provided extras when asked, but for what we were paying we really shouldn’t have had to ask for enough towels etcThe location is great especially if weather it goodIf you Valet, look behind you if you don’t see him, they sitting in their car? (crazy) but they were able to get car to you when neededThe BEST part was the restaurant that is connected We did dinner thereTOP NOTCH, PRICEY BUT I WILL SAY WORTH IT The Mussels and the pastayummy David was the best waiter ever and we did see the value thereA friend recommended this place and he admitting stayed there years ago, he loved itbut when we told him our experiences, he said obviously they had changed management or ownershipWe even heard them charging a person for Early check in, the person walked up and said she was there, if room was available great, but if not she just wanted to leave info at desk for when ready, she was in a conference there the girl proceeded to check her in, says room is available and then addsthat will be 4500 early check in the guest was like wait, what, I said I would waitit’s crazy sneaky stuff like that, that really not goodOh and the Happy Hour wineis Woodbridgecome on give me something for the 2500 FEE you’ve tacked on

This review would have had more stars but upon check in the glasses in the room were very dirty Additionally when my boyfriend woke up the next morning we found a used condom by the side of the bed Totally unacceptable

The operations manager did call to explain how this is not up to standard etc which I did appreciate but just sucks It was my birthday and not how I wanted to spend the day Ended up checking out Unfortunate situation If you stay here please check the cleanliness of your rooms Front desk staff was very nice and pleasant Wish I had a better overall experience

I have to say that the front staff is very helpful and professional My original room was nice, updates bathroom and very clean I had a issue with the TV since it didn’t work at all

Matt the attendant on duty came and checked it out, once he noticed that the TV needed to have a maintenance call, he switched my room without issues, double checked to make sure all amenities were in working order and then delivered the new room keys to me My second room was the same from the first I was right by the elevator, but did t hear a thing, seems like the room are well insulated Bed was comfortable and the amenities were in point I’ll be here again for my next work trip, glad to know there is a great staff here

The rooms are comfy and stylish and the hotel was nice and clean Though we were disappointed that the pool was closed and the shuttle wasn’t running But the staff were all very helpful

The breakfast bar was especially delicious with lots of choices, all kept fully stocked and fresh by Miss Debora She was so kind and friendly and very helpful She made sure to chat with everyone and make sure we all had what we needed It was a great way to start the day

The staff are friendly and well-mannered My room was on the top floor and was spacious, clean, and comfy The high ceiling had an automated sun-shade, but it didn’t work at the time so that was a bummer

Check-in and check-out were a breeze I would stay again for sure My only nitpick is the parking It’s a little tight depending on where you park

Dale Nelson

I hope the staff reads this, thank you, thank you, thank you for everything the week I stayed here I arrived on a red eye at 8am and they made accommodations to get a room ready so I could get some sleep before my event I was attending at 4pmThe room was excellent and comfortable, the AC worked great! As much as I would like to leave a good review, I cannot Check-in was quick and easy, and the gentleman at the front desk was super nice He presented us with our room key, and we proceeded to our room

When entering the room it was extremely hot, as if the heat was on; though it was not My sister started to spray everything down with Lysol (seeing as though COVID is still going) and noticed that there were specks or dirt on her bed along with strands of hair We made our way back to the front desk where we spoke with a young lady who was there with the gentleman who initially checked us in We explained our issue, and she swapped us to another room My sister and I made our way to our new room (327), where we entered and started to check everything out I was highly disappointed Between the stains on my pillows, my bed skirt, and then the coffee pot, and ice bucket being in the bathroom; I was ready to leave!!!! I called down to the front desk spoke to the young lady (not sure if it was the same young lady who moved us already or not) and was told that there were no more rooms available I hung up and called nine other hotels that were in the area No one had any rooms available, as we were told that there was a college graduation that had all their rooms booked My sister and I went downstairs and asked for extra towels and sheets so that we could try to figure something out A gentleman brought some up, and my sister helped me change the sheets on my bed I placed the pillows on the floor and just used the towels as something to lay my head on when sleeping I stay at plenty of Marriotts throughout the country, but being at this Marriott was very uncomfortable, and I just wasn’t happy with cleanliness of the rooms at all It’s not at all how I expected to spend my Mother’s Day weekend, that my children and niece planned for my sister and I I wouldn’t recommend staying here at all
