Fairly good location and very close to belden village if you are there for shopping or for the airport or the Hall of fame Lot of road construction going on north of there which makes it not as convenient for events in Akron or cleveland Room was very clean

Bed comfortable Water pressure very good Microwave and refrigerator Adequate TV with channel selections Good toiletries and towels Breakfast was just average with the usual eggs sausage some yogurt Could have used a little more fruit and non packaged bakery items The biggest complaint is the room temperature When the AC was running things were pretty cold but when it stopped they seemed to get warm in a hurry A little quieter than most hotels of this ilk I would definitely stay there again

As a Marriot Bonvoy Member, I am not super impressed with this hotel We arrived at 11:30pm and there were noises all over the place We could hear all of our neighbors and didn’t get to sleep until about 4am

And then right at 6am, they started packing and all you heard was the banging of drawersOn top of this, the water flow was super slow and there was only super hot or ice cold Not much for a shower And our room thermostat was broken, so we slept in a tundra until it magically started working around 7amFood was alright except the hard boiled eggs turned out to be bad unfortunatelyI do want to mention though that the service was super nice and they did try to fix the issues, but they could not fix the noisey neighbors and that is really no fault of theirsPlease be cautious when staying Bring noise cancelling headphones and your own food

Downtown Akron’s Courtyard Marriott is the absolute best To start, Sheryl in management was amazing to work with So helpful and polite in helping me block rooms for our guests

We had a ton of rooms reserved for our big day and everything went so smoothly Hotel staff were very helpful with handing out welcome bags Location was excellent My guests raved about the Speakeasy, outdoor patio, and proximity to Akron staple Luigi’s Very clean rooms We stayed in a suite and it was the best hotel we have ever stayed in Use this hotel for your Akron wedding or a weekend getaway So glad we did!!

Shane Randall

Cool location with Food and drinking options walking distance Rooms were top notch stand up shower could easily accommodate 2 people or even 3 if that’s your thing Breakfast cost is extra but decent menue

Staff is friendly Parking is a 3 out of 5 but you shouldn’t have issues finding it just prepare to walk a little bit Overall I would stay again considering the options if I work close by again

This hotel is beautiful It is a wow factor I am originally from the Akron area and am a graduate student in NW Ohio

For an academic conference, several of us came down and stayed at this location I heard nothing but praise among my fellow scholars and I must agree with them The rooms are up to date, clean, and beautiful Each room seems to have everything you could ever need and the bed was incredibly comfortable The Northside Speakeasy which is located in the hotel has wonderful cocktails and attentive staff They pull out all the stops for their guests and I highly recommend the Grasshopper if you like chocolate and mint My significant other joined me and had a lavender cocktail that was amazing! The hotel is located close to Lock15 where several scholars went for dinner as well as Luigi’s which is an Akron staple! I would highly recommend this hotel for business and couples!

Staff was friendly Pool was honestly gross We booked this place to let our kiddos swim for spring break and there was hair all in the pool

It looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time There was also clumps of hair around the pool on the floorOur room had a pull out couch and came with no sheets or blankets for it None on it and nothing in the closet in the room The room only came with two bath towels so we had to ask for more- not a huge deal, but inconvenient nonetheless The end tables, lamps, and TV stands were all so dusty- again, looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in awhile The toilet paper roll was stamped with like a seal but the amount of paper on the roll was about 4 squares- why not put a brand new roll on when its that low?Just a lot of things that were extremely disappointing- we won’t be back Susan at the front desk was wonderful

Laurie Appelbaum

We stayed at the Cambria from July 13th -16th The staff at this hotel is one of the best I have ever come across and I traveled 20 years prior to retiring! Very professional and very nice Our room was very clean and the location was good

Two things that I feel the hotel could do to improve: The mattress on the bed was very old It was saggy and very soft It was the kind of mattress that sags in the middle when you roll over The furniture in the room is due for an update It was well worn

Abby barnard

I had to stay here for work It was horrible The photos shows a chair in my room, absolutely disgusting

There was dried blood (I assume) on the door walls in the bathroom My room was super hot without giving me the option to turn the air on In the photo you see I had it on 65 but felt like 72 That was the lowest it would go My blow dryer was broken and I ended up almost being late for work waiting for a new one The breakfast that they charge $10 for has half of what normally is free at any other hotel This hotel is close to my work office and was booked for me, but not a clean or well working place at all

Staff was great upon entrance and exit, very accommodating The room was extremely clean, new & updated The temperature in the room was easy to control and worked great

The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and soft The breakfast was wonderful Nice looking pool, though I didn’t go inSome things that weren’t ideal but didn’t affect how many stars I felt I should give due to overall experience:The fitness center is a tiny box of a room with little equipmentThe guests were all assigned rooms very close to each other so you could hear guest talking, doors closing, and alarms/wake up calls going off early in the morning through the wallsOverall my stay was very comfortable

Georgiana Mejia-Klem

Great experience overall! Kim, the general manager, was super helpful and went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional She upgraded our room due to the larger group size, recommended nearby restaurants and activities to do plus helped us enlist in the IHG rewards system The breakfast exceeded our expectations too

The only reason why we aren’t giving our stay a 5 star experience is because during our 3 day trip, our room wasn’t cleaned even when we requested this Fresh towels and trash takeout was provided every day Overall, it was a nice stay! Thank you Kim and the dinning team 🙂

Really bad experience all around We booked this hotel for a wedding weekend and spent thousands of dollars here Got to the hotel at 5pm and the room was not ready and had to wait in my car the night before my wedding for half an hour for them to get a room ready for me

The woman at the front desk and a manager that was there at the time did try to help and speed things along which I appreciatedThe hotel recommended a suite to get ready in the day of and the photos shown at booking did not look anything like the rooms we were given and were really small and crampedWe booked a conference room to use as a hospitality room from 11pm to 2am after our wedding ended but were told the night before our wedding that we could no longer use the room for that time They instead referred us to the hotel next door (which was actually really nice and the bartender there was really kind and helpful)Our entire wedding party was supposed to have a late checkout the day after the wedding but we were greeted with an angry and rude phone call from someone named Ashley at 11:15 saying we needed to leave and that our late checkout was no longer being honored Even after explaining to her that we booked a block for a wedding and had a 1pm checkout, she was still incredibly rude and insinuated that we were lying We spoke with other members of the bridal party as we were leaving that had even called the night before to make sure they still had a late checkout that were told yes, but they were also called and later told they no longer had a late checkoutIf you are thinking of using this hotel for a wedding block, definitely look elsewhere This was such an unorganized experience and caused us so much unneeded stress

Excellent hotel! Every hotel needs a Cece! She was amazing and turned my frown upside down when we checked in, considering we booked online in the wrong location by accident Everything was top notch here Our room was immaculate and well appointed

Tons of great restaurants withn a couple milessteak house, seafood, hibachi, etc Others left negative breakfast reviews but our experience was completely opposite The food was delicious, omelets, sausage, French toast sticks, waffles, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit and cereal not to mention juice, tea and great coffee We went down around 9:30 and the cook was just bringing out more eggs and food, making sure the guests had plenty to choose from Checkout was great, made even better by Cece and some great conversation to start our day and trip home Highly recommend staying at this location

Ms. G

My room had the potential to be great But, the bed was right next to someone else’s toileting so every time someone needed to use the bathroom it sounded like it was right next to my head and I heard all the water coming down Interrupted my sleep too

They need to fix thatBut overall it was a very nice hotel in a very good location

Rich Campbell

Hey! This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at! First: the shower was covered in dog hair 🙂 then, I’m positive there was a bed bug in it (don’t worry, it was dead Second of all, there were FIVE wooden clothes hangers tucked UNDER the sheet of the bed we were supposed to sleep in Does this not sound desirable enough? Second of all, the amazing employees of this establishment left not only the used wet towel of the previous guests, but they also left the delicious-scented USED bar of soap from the previous guests in our room

Our room number was 318 and I would actually demand a full refund if I want staying at the Scary-Ott hotel Please, never visit Akron, Ohio, or any Marriott Hotel, for that matter

Very disappointed The staff was not friendly, the guy at the desk was rude when I asked about the $50 fee that was charged to my card that I was unaware of when booking [Front desk never said anything and it was my first time staying here]

The beds were so hard, I didn’t sleep the 2 nights I stayed It felt like I was sleeping on a wooden board The couch was more comfortable than the bed and thats where I slept The lights were so dim we couldn’t see much to get ready There was no soap in the bathroom when arriving, so I had to go down to the front and ask No bags in the trash cans The TV in the living room of the suite wouldn’t pick up reception for the channels, only one channel worked and wasn’t fuzzy Drinks were over priced and the vending machines were only ice machines For what we paid for the room, I could have went somewhere actually enjoyable We won’t be back

The ONLY thing that saved this rating is the location and the staff The hotel is in DESPERATE need of renovation It’s very brown

Very 90s The microwave in our room looked like one of the first microwaves ever made The beds were uncomfortable, but the view was amazing There’s even a special deck that overlooks the falls that is just for guests I’m glad we stayed here, but wouldn’t return unless they decided to upgrade But this place was super busy, so chances are, they won’t be updating any time soon It definitely was not worth the price paid, in my opinion

We stayed only one night as we were attending a concert at the Blossom Music Center, but would have been happy spending many nights there The rooms are lovely and updated, the bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean The only thing that wasn’t so great was the shower, but not a big deal

Breakfast was basic, but very good The front desk staff were very nice and helpful I would not hesitate to stay again if I am ever in the area

Excellent room! We stayed in a king suite with a kitchen The room was spacious with a separate living room, full size fridge, small stove, and plenty of counter space Everything was very clean, our room was quiet

Laundry room was clean and convenient The market had a good selection of essentials and food Nice breakfast too The staff was friendly and helpful The only troubles we had were wifi that didn’t work at all during our stay, and our key cards had to be reactivated at the front desk daily This was really inconvenient when we parked in the back and were locked outside in the rain

CrtnyC

Stayed overnight while on the road with our family We had a small issue with our room that was immediately fixed, but more importantly, exceptional customer service! You can tell that the staff here are happy and work together with respect and care for each other that extends to every guest We were welcomed like family and had a wonderful visit before getting back on the road!

I travel for business all over the and I had to mention that this particular hotel is amazing- The rooms are great, staff is wonderful even down to the General Manger- I needed a quiet place to do some last minute work before flying out the next day and the General Manager heard me talking to the Front Desk and came out to let me use their Meeting Room Sometimes people get overlooked and Business’s don’t get the recognition they should I will be back in town next month and this will definitely be my choice for accommodations

Thank you Again!!

Always a nice hotel, but this time we planned a staycation with heavy pool time and we were surprised to see so little poolside furniture available Large gaps across the pool deck made lounges a rare commodityThe pool is very popular with guests so I can imagine we weren’t the only ones who were disappointed

Only one table umbrella for the whole pool area was also a missHope to see some improvement We’d love to come back

We reserved a DELUXE Double room that was so small we (2 small woman) had to put one of our suitcases on the refrigerator in order to walk around the room We chose this hotel because the weather was snowy/windy and cold and the Website indicated a restaurant, Beau Grill, in the Hotel WELL! The Beau Grill is NOT OPEN 7 days a week and was CLOSED on Monday so we had to travel out in bad weather to get Dinner!! I would NOT recommend this Hotel if you are expecting a HILTON Hotel experience

it was closer to Hotel 6

The hotel itself was nice, but I was upset that almost all the electric vehicle parking spots were occupied by ICE vehicles This was one of the main reasons why I picked this hotel, to charge during the night, and luckily I was able to take the last spot In the future I’d like to see better monitoring of these electric vehicle spots for EV’s, rather than internal combustion engine vehicles, and an increased number of J-1772 chargers potentially in the back corner of the hotel to avoid ICE vehicles parking in them

The rooms are a little small but they are awesome The staff is great and very friendly and helpful The restaurant has a very nice menu which I am happy since I didn’t have to drive anywhere the day closed confit egg rolls were good

And I enjoyed the Unami salmon The only bad thing is that service was too fast and rushed Would like to see them to slow down My main course came out about 5 minutes after I got my egg rollsThe hotel room is very nice bed is very comfortable

I didn’t even get to stay here because it’s their “policy” that the owner of the card used has to be present when checking in My boyfriend bought me a room while I’m here alone for an AA conference Not only was this extremely inconvenient (had to cancel his reservation/lots of other hotels completely booked), the manager lady who I dealt with was very rude and unprofessional

She was rude to the employee there that was clearly brand new, and rude to me Room was overpriced anyways Guess I’ll never get the experience!

Finally! A nice, modern hotel in downtown! No more staying out in Fairlawn/Montrose among all the strip malls Way overdue in downtown AkronThe hotel is clean, comfortable, and designed well while incorporating the history of the landmark building

Staff were also great – typical of the Marriott experience

At check-in I was greeted warmly and it was a fast and easy experience The room was clean and the bed was comfortable The pool was 86 degrees and 3-5 ft which was perfect to relax in

The breakfast was better than typical so I highly recommend starting here The attendant working the food area was extraordinary and she deserves high praise

karen fridley

The staff is extremely polite and professional We found the room clean The indoor pool exceeded our expectationsThe breakfast is not the usual breakfast, they have a variety of food to select from

We will definitely stay there again

Our room was very dated The carpeting in the middle of the living area floor was thread bare The air-conditioner was so noisy that it woke us up every time the compresser started

Sounded like a bad bearing The valve in the bath tub that starts the shower was so crusty was hard water residue, that it was hard to use We’ll never use this hotel again The staff were friendly and helpful

The room was nice I booked a king suite The pool is only allowed 10 people at a time even if your not swimming which is no problem I’m guessing due to Covid Its a very small pool anyways

But they don’t have an exceeding time limit so while me and a couple family members stayed there we were told to sign in, in order to gain access to the pool but had to wait 3 hours just to be able to go in because again there’s no time limit for the guest to leave the pool which is not particularly fair or even realistic with a packed hotel We didn’t get to the pool until like 9pm they close at 11 and we had 4-10 year old kids so it was annoying having to swim with them that late When we got back to our room of course we were eating and getting the children ready for bed The front desk called me twice around 10:30 asking could I keep my kids quiet due to it being other guest which was not realistic since we had gotten in so lateAround about 11:30 when my kids were sleeping I got another call stating that There were more complaints about my room when i asked what noise could she be referring to she was talking about me walking i guess the person under me said they could hear me walking At this point I was furious and honestly considered getting my money back and going home But my 4 and 6 year old were sleep so we exchanged words and I made sure to leave a review about our horrible stay it’s a very nice hotel but not if you want to relax and go swimming or have small children it’s mainly for business or Older couples I definitely wouldn’t stay again

Tracy at the front desk was so welcoming, friendly and outgoing Bill, a server in the food/bar area was very nice, informative about the area as we checked in The day we left we had breakfast and he was our server and still friendly and helpful

We would definitely stay again! Also, would recommend to anyone heading to Akron! The convenience/location was fabulous, as we saw a show at the Goodyear Theatre and the hotel was in walking distance!

Every time I stay at a Hilton, there is something wrong in the room This time was no exception The drawers in the dresser all stuck

They would not open nor close without a fight Also, a previous guest left a takeout box with food in the dresser I had to dispose of thatThe service and dinner food were not great, either I ordered my steak medium and it came well done The waitress forgot things and was a bit rudeThe other people were nice The fitness center is nice The hotel has a pool and a hot tub That’s good I’m going to look for alternative hotels going forward

Wendi Stevenson

This was the absolute best Hilton we have visit! It was quiet, clean, extremely convenient, and the customer service was wonderful! The pool area was clean with plenty of towels We are at the restaurant which was reasonably priced with sizeable portions All in all I would definitely recommend this Hilton and will not stay anywhere else when I am in the area

The suites were very clean and comfortable The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful The evening reception hours were an added bonus, although we only arrived in time for about 15 minutes worth it was enjoyed

Their breakfast options were quite plentiful and again the staff was very helpfulOverall our stay was wonderful and should we be in the area again for another tournament, we would definitely stay again

Steven Tracy

Had a great stay here over the weekend Staff was friendly and helpful They have a great complimentary breakfast and the dinner options are better than going out to eat

The only minor problem I faced was that there was only a plug on one side of the bed in our king suite But the room was still great Will definitely be booking my stay here from now on

Khristopher Bibey

Great place to stay for the night The rooms are very clean, there is a workout room and pool available, social hour is pretty cool with free snacks, the breakfast buffet is actually quite good and the lady who makes the omelettes is very nice, and they provided lots of amenities like soap and coffee/teaOnly complaint would be there was some broken glass in the hallway that was still there the day after we made a complaint and there was a little bit too much noise coming from upstairs when we were trying to sleep

But those are relatively minor Everything else was clean and this was a nice place to stay
