I’m torn on this review The hotel itself is gorgeous The corner king room is amazing

so quiet There’s neat historyand the speakeasy is so cool And the valet ladies at night are nice as can be But THE BEDS SUCK! The mattress is hard as a rock, and I couldn’t sleep past 4am because I was in so much pain I really didn’t sleep much at all We’re here for 2 nights, and I’m dreading this second night

Katie Adams

Wow! This place was amazing! Hotel had a great restaurant below it and a great deck to have a drink on We were traveling to San Antonio with our kids and dog and needed a place to stay This was the best hotel we stayed at in a while

Staff was super friendly and the hotel was clean and beautiful There is normally plenty of parking on the street so you don’t have to valet if you don’t want to but its an option

Easily my new favorite hotel in Amarillo! I’m In town for a couple months of work and initially meant to stay a few nights just to check it out It’s been such a great hotel experience that I’m now on my second week here and will be extending for a few more weeks The entire staff from management to the servers to the valets are very friendly and attentive

Everything on the dinner menu is exquisitely delicious (I’ve been diligently working my way through the menu)and both the lobby bar and the speakeasy in the basement are excellent with outstanding bartenders who truly know their craft Whether it’s just one night, a wekend or long term, this hotel is a must experience My only regret is that the rooms aren’t as spacious for long term visitors needing workspace compared to other few hotels I’ve previously stayed in

Very professional and welcoming staff The room was very clean The bathroom was clean and big enough

The air conditioner worked well The bed was comfortable The location is great and convenient to a lot of restaurants At 6 am, the people above us were allowing there kid(s) to jump off the bed onto floor, were running around, and yelling At 8 am, we asked the desk to address it They contacted the people and it got quiet

nuhamin Tollossa

I loved this hotel! We got in around 2 am and booked the room over the phone while still on the road Gina took great care of us The rooms are nice, spacious, and clean

I loved their full breakfast- they have eggs, sausage, and even a pancake machine Be careful about booking over the phone- they charge an extra 15% on top of the listed price It might be better to book from hotelscom or something The listed price on Google might not match up if your doing day of booking, but it should be less expensive than calling, maybe by about $30-$50

Mike F

Very clean, comfortable hotel The King Size Bed Room was very big with a lot of space The room had a bery big Walk-in Shower inside a large bathroom

A full breakfast was served and it was awesome The staff were all very friendly The parking lot was well lit all the way around the building If you’re concerned about security & the neighborhood around the hotel you stay in, this is the place for you

My husband is the chief engineer(, head management) at this location and I’ve gotten to see some of the rooms here and let me tell you, they are amazing The staff is extremely nice, especially the new district manager and manager at this location Them alongside the staff over at the West location are always making sure their guests are taken care of and enjoying their stay

They both are extremely accommodating and provide clean and tidy rooms at all times So if anybody is placing a trip to Amarillo tx any time in the future, this is definitely the place to reserve or to go to for a wonderful stay here Well worth the experience Hands down 5 star rating from me!!!

Troy Young

This hotel definitely surprised me I was driving through to Dallas and decided to rest for the night The rooms were very nice, even the bathrooms had great hygiene products

I usually hate using hotel soap cause it drys my skin, so when I saw the dove products I did flipslol Definitely mad a repeat customer out of me Holiday Inn Express from now on

Jose Wheeler

We stopped here driving through the state for one nightWe normally have decent experience with this brand, but not this time The first room we were assigned to had a bunch of dead bugs all over

All kinds of bugs Maybe the room was just treated by pest control Not sure but I couldn’t sleep in thereThe second room was ok, no bugs but it smelled just like dogs Stains on all of the furniture and poor maintenanceAt this time I would not recommend this property Needs updating in bathrooms and new flooring

I was not greeted as usual as a Platinum member The lock on the door was falling apart The mattress was partially off the frame

My sisters room had no water They did get her a different room Service was less than excellent No water downstairs so no coffee for breakfastThis Fairfield was much below the standard for Marriott

Eric Smyth

3 nights No sleep This place is just a tarted up freeway motel on the Super 8 end of town, complete with rigid mattress, rackety baseboard a/c and folks walking their mutts around in the halls

Hopefully the airport will grow enough to attract some more lodging competition to the area, so this joint can be converted to a Motel 6 and represent itself honestly

Boxuan Yang

NOT PET FRIENDLY We have lived here with our kitten before They had no problem with it

The second time was completely different Just to be careful we called again 3 days before check-in and asked specifically if we can check in with a kitten They said yes According to Booking website this is a pet-friendly hotel However, when we actually was there to check in with our kitten at midnight, they did not let us move in with our kitten They said “we are pet friendly but only for dogs, cats are different, different allergies” We said we called you days before and asked specifically about this concerns, and we have even lived here before just a week ago with our kitten The manager came out and said “no cats” He just repeated this sentence 5 or 6 times Horrible horrible experience We had to find another place, which was difficult during Christmas holidays, at midnight We stopped by 6 hotels they were all full

Great hotel!Stopped here on a recent road trip and were delighted with the exceptional staff, cleanliness and overall appearanceVery busy hotel surrounded by busy hotels, however, the parking lot was well maintainedOthers have noted and I agree that it is not easy to find the parking lot but it is well worth the minor inconvenience

Thanks, Fairfield Inn-Amarillo!

Stephanie Keebaugh

Customer service is amazing! Every concierge we talked to was so nice and helpful They even went out of their way and used their own computers to print a pass to Palo Duro for me when the printer in their business center was having issuesRooms were very clean and welcoming

There wasn’t a lot of breakfast food, but there’s definitely something for everyone Great stay!

Emily Anderson

The shower gel was empty which I didn’t find out until I was already in the shower at 1:00 am and then the phone didn’t work so I wasn’t able to request a wake up call and that reminds me, wasn’t I supposed to have been greeted with “welcome back! Thank you for being a gold elite member

Would you like a cookie?”Also, Google has the location for this place as across the street where the other Marriott is so beware

Not sure how this place hasn’t gotten sued from someone stepping into the shower We had 3 different rooms and all had very slick tubs! I slipped and bruised my shin pretty good, dad almost fell and put a towel down for mom I asked the girl at front desk for a tub mat and they didn’t even have any! So careful when stepping into the showers here!Besides that rooms were clean and everything worked

John Rentz

The room was clean & the beds comfortable The front desk personnel was friendly The reason for a 3 star rating is due to poor hot breakfast choices

A hot breakfast is one of the amenities I look for when I booked this hotel Unfortunately at 0800 on Sunday morning the only thing hot was eggs and they were almost gone I asked if there would be anymore sausage gravy, for the biscuits, and was told no, and that serving dish was promptly removed with no replacement Very disappointed in the breakfast

Jeff Wilson

There are far better optionsFirst, they had a hard time finding our room reservation Our room had a half working AC

It was blowing cold, but lots of humidity still in the room The room was really small- barely big enough for two large suitcases There were boogers stuck to the wall 🤮 Also, the beds were not comfortable It felt like the mattresses were 15 years oldThe 3am fire alarm was an unwelcome surprise The staff was MIA during the ordeal Not a peep from them while we were waiting outside and not a peep the next morning about the incident when I checked outLastly, while the location was good, walking outside, you get a blast of manure smells Not great

Pool and hot tub looked awesome but did not get a chance to use them We did not want to leaveDefinitely will try to stay at a Home2 Suites each time we travelThanks again to the amazing staff because if it were not for them travelers would not have amazing stays!! 😊

April-Jo Peragine

Traveling across the country and this is the best Hilton we’ve stayed at so far Large clean and comfortable rooms The kitchenette fridge made it easy to cool down some of our drinks for the trip

Large grassy dog area for our pets to be comfortable The Continental breakfast was a nice bonus, lots of options to choose from The hotel is brand new and everything is very clean We really enjoyed a quick overnight trip here

Karina Schreiber

Loved this hotel stay! I’ve stayed at many Hilton owned properties because I used to work for a Hampton inn and this hotel was great! I loved the pool although we only got about 45 minutes in it once we arrivedBreakfast was good with lots of options and the gals serving the complimentary items were friendly and welcoming The rooms were clean and very spacious

The gentleman upfront I believe Paul was his name but honestly could be making that up haha He was super welcoming on the phone and when we arrived and was very polite The incidentals fee was very reasonable and I would stay here again and recommend to anyone needing a hotel in Amarillo :)Thank you!

We go through Amarillo on our road trips, and finding a place to stay that meets our requirements for cleanliness has been toughThis hotel was so clean Our room was very spacious and comfortable

Decor is very cute and well doneWe have traditionally stayed at Hilton Garden Inns during road trips but lately the ones we have stayed at have not been up to par This was a great alternative for us, and where we will plan to stay on our next time in Amarillo

Casey Lansdown

For the price of the room, over 14000, the breakfast was HORRIBLE!!! There was NOTHING out there My husband and I were given Otis Spunkmeyer muffins and microwaved egg and croissants

There was no milk for the cereal and no fruit other than old yellow apples Way to pricey for the stay Shower had NO pressure and leaked on the floor Air conditioner is controlled and would not go below 68 in an already hot room Would not recommend for the price

Raphael Jube

I always stay at the spring hill, but this was a bad one The room was not clean, they didn’t completely clean after the previous guest There were trash bags left inside the drawers, trash in the sofa, trash in the nightstands

they didn’t have sufficient bed sheets for the extra beds and when I asked, they argued with me they did The AC worked, but was extremely loud, definitely breaking soon The shower door leaks as well Would not stay again

We brought our Student Ministry to this hotel while on our way to camp Stopping with almost 100 people to stay somewhere can be pretty overwhelming, but Jasmine (who was working the front desk) was completely ready for us She was super organized, had our rooms separated out, cards ready, and showed a ton of patience when helping our students buy their drinks/snacks from the shop in the hotel lobby! She even made sure that there were fresh chocolate chip cookies waiting for all of our students and had no issues when they wiped out the whole tray

She alone made this an incredible stop for our group and we greatly appreciate her!

A decent and clean hotel The front desk person was cool and helpful We reached the hotel by midnight

The front desk person gave us free water bottles The room was spacious and clean The breakfast was hot and had good options too The check in and check out was smooth The Hampton is very near to I 40 intersection, which makes it easy to locate while on the road The lemonade tasted amazing The hotel was cleaned multiple times and we can definitely see the cleanliness of the hotel here and there The breakfast place was also cleaned multiple times The trash was cleaned immediately I had a least hope on this hotel, but it definitely exceeded my expectations A good hotel with good hot breakfast The wifi was good and the bathrooms was super clean

Danielle Johnson

Staff at check in seemed pretty aloof I had called before and spoke with someone else that seemed very friendly, and upon leaving, staff was niceMy room was just ok

Water pressure sucked, the bathroom was all beat up, with shelves in the shower not well attached, and the flooring busted up in places The towels were old and thin Much of the room was very dated The TV situation still has SD channels and you have to channel up and down to get to anything Bed was also just OK Door was off frame so I had to slam/body check it to closeThe grounds around the building are disgusting Debris, pet waste, etc Just gross Otherwise the main hotel inside shared areas were very clean and well kept Easy to get here, and good options in the area for food $75 pet feed plus $15 additional pet My two small dogs that don’t bark, and didn’t mess up a room cost more than what I should have to pay to stay here ALONE I was told flat fee when I booked the room of $75 but got a bill with an additional $15 Would have never stayed here with points to get billed $90 on top for this lacking hotelWhen I called to question the additional fee, before I got to the fee, the person answering the phone said, “are you questioning the $25 incidental?” so seems like the have an issue here with tacking on fees and anticipating people calling back to question it THIS IS A HUGE CONCERNThe breakfast set up is great and food options were nice

By far one of the best hotels I have tried here in Amarillo Booked a king suite for one night and I was not disappointed with the room sizeThe room came with a sofa, king bed, fridge, table, big screen and some standard hotel stuff

The room size and price was reasonable The down side was the restroom was pretty small, but the jet cuzzi bath made up for itThe pool area also was a bonus Specially with that big hot tub and decent pool size Hotel was very clean and well worth the money I personal recommending calling the hotel first and booking your roomThird party sites will get you booked but possible not have a room That is the reason why my wife and I ended up here But was not disappointed, also it is right next to the mall and all outlet storesWorth the money!!!

April Schmitt

Staff was helpful and nice Bed was a little firm for me but had a padded topper that helped The room was clean

The shower keeps it from 5 stars; the water pressure was inconsistent and the side of the tub was very high making it hard to get in and out of This issue would make me request a handicap accessible room if I stay there again

L. A. Patschull

VERY SAD Comfort in Room was as expected but run down Parking lot had several vehicles with people just sitting in them

No real parking spots near the hotel building Employees at the desk were on their phones in the open and not taking care of customers Totally lazy staff Someone spilled a clear soda in the elevator at nightit was a sticky mess in the morningstill not cleaned up at check out My reservation was supposed to come with a hot breakfastno hot food except a Texas shaped waffle from a not so clean counter Breakfast area was dirty and not well stocked at all Cheaper Motels are a better choice WASTE OF MONEY Stay elsewhere if possible

As others have mentioned the check-in cleanliness of the rooms is suspicious Hair can be found on towels along with pillow cases and on the pullout couch Olivia at the front desk was friendly and acknowledged my status and thanked me for staying

The gym is great with multiple walking running machines We didn’t try the indoor pool although it was open Breakfast was also good as can be seen from the photos Overall management should instruct cleaning staff to wear hair nets while refreshing rooms Parking is good and free No homeless people either which was good

Julie

This place is phenomenal! So clean— spotless honestly Felt like a studio apartment Full fridge

Pet friendly The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the laundry facilities were down with no signage (wasted time & detergent) & there was a decently sized gap under our door and we could hear people on the hall as if they were in our room We had to stuff a towel under it to feel more privacy Otherwise this place is safe, clean, and quiet even considering the door gap

Jessica Baker

Very nice staff Cool that the bar is open 12-12 Breakfast is nicer than most hotel breakfasts

I loved the eggs and potatoes! Very clean hotel I’ve been traveling for four days and this was the first hotel that had washcloths in the bathroom which makes me happy hahaThe only reason why it’s four stars instead of five is because the ice machines on my floor and the other floors wasn’t functioning properly

I rely heavily on reviews yet rarely write my own but am striving to be better about it, starting with Ashmore One of the best “budget” hotels we’ve ever stayed at All staff were friendly and helpful

The room was clean, not dated, didn’t smell funny Felt very safe tucked back behind Cracker Barrel The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had lots of hot and cold options – waffle maker, bagels, toast, eggs, sausage, juices, fruit, cereal We would absolutely stay here again!

Rachael Virgillo

The lobby is beautiful with fireplace and couches there’s actually an eating area with tables and chairs There’s a fitness center with treadmill bike and free weights pool and jacuzzi The room was nice

Free breakfast consisting of toast Bagels freshly made scrambled eggs sausage patties and waffles two different kinds of cereal fruit juice and coffee

Brian White

Arrived at hotel to find out pool was closed Website does not mention anything about pool being under maintenance After traveling with a 4 year old for 5 hours waiting for the pool, this came as a big disappointment

When I asked to speak with a manager during check in, I was told he will be in on Monday if you would like to speak with him It was Friday and we are leaving the next day, which they knewI emailed the manager and received 0 response Which is why I am writing this reviewAt some point you need to let your guests know what is advertised is not what you are getting

Edith Thellmann

I stayed in the Residence Inn Marriott for 55 month until our house was finally built The staff is outstanding

Maintenance is outstanding The rooms are taken care of every day The pool was taken care of as well and always had clean towels availableIt’s nice to always feel welcomed 🤗 If you are looking for a hotel for the night, week or month you shouldn’t look any further This is the place to rest and relax!

This N That

The staff was very helpful however the experience was the worst I have had at Marriott It was a hot travel day and wanted to cool down in a nice room so picked the higher costing room as Marriott has never let me down To room was 80° upon entry

We had to leave the door to the common area open to the hallway and use a fan that staff brought to us to bring cool air into the three areas We were able to get room down to 72 but not until after 8am the next morning The pilot light on fireplace was on and I was told they keep on all year One of the two bathrooms was plugged up so good thing we got a double room and two bathrooms Most of the furniture was damaged including the phone to call the front desk The oven looked as if it had not been cleaned in a month We attempted to use the pool and hot tube but both were at temps opposite of what they should have been and we did not stay long Since we were traveling with children this was a big disappointmentI am very hopeful that our experience was a once in a million experience as I enjoy staying at the Marriotts however it may be a while before I pay extra when I could have gotten the same experience at a low budget hotelThey stay was apologetic for our bad experience however they were not able to provide anything except minor fixes for our immediate stay

Cheryl Spriggs

My husband and I are silver elite members and we stay at a lot of Marriotts while we travel The staff here has been so kind and welcoming They went above and beyond by gifting us a small bag of goodies! After we got settled in our room, the front desk called to check in on us and made sure we had everything we needed

At breakfast, all of the staff greeted us and were so friendly While this is an older hotel, it’s been very accommodating for our quick stay, especially the cozy suite with our animals Great pet policy and not too expensive!

As I checked in, I asked the front desk if there is a back door, since I had to park in the back The lady said there was no back entrance, but a side entrance As I parked in the back, I saw an back entrance

There was a sign that said use room key to open, which I tried and it was not scanning, come to find out, the scanning wasn’t working, so the door was not lockedAs I got to the room, the handle needed grease or something because i had a hard time trying to open it The floor was very dirty and there was some sticky substance on the floor, which ruined my socksOn the corner of the shower had some black stains There were spots on the blanket, which leads me to believe they don’t really clean itThe size of the room was decent and that was the only good thing about it Probably won’t be back

This motel was recently renovated – super clean and the decor is chic and modern Very lovely lobby and staff are very nice and respectful of clients We loved that they accommodated all three of our doodles and it was very obvious that they cater to fur babies

The courtyard has picnic tables and synthetic grass Most everyone that we saw in the courtyard or walking back to their rooms love dogs- lots of dog families like us and the place is extremely clean! This motel has been the best one in our three- week cross country road trip Kudos Atrea for the very nice facility and wonderful staff!

The motel location was not hard to get to from I-40 and there several places to eat around the motel The rooms have been updated, the beds were soft but only give you two pillows The bathroom was clean and had been remodeled recently

The lobby was extremely nice and the breakfast was very nice Large gathering place in the middle was nice I didn’t like that there was no grass for the dogs

Renovated hipster hotel that is very pet friendly It’s priced to beat the chains and it does Huge astroturf/crushed granite quad that it gives a communal feel

People out socializing at a hotel is really cool Extremely well lit all around Beds are adequate Bathroom spacious and newly redone Carpet was needing care but with a pet friendly place that’s OK Great for a layover as we made our way west!

Absolutely the best hotel we’ve stayed at The entire staff is polite and very well trained and informed They communicate clearly and the rooms are updated and very clean

We stopped while traveling through because of bad weather We will definitely become club members Breakfast was hot and not over cooked with plenty of options available Very nice pool and hot tub The afternoon snacks and drinks was a pleasant surprise also We love this hotel clean clean clean!!!

Seth Weisser

Stopped here on our way to CO We were travelling with two dogs and they were super accommodating, giving us a first floor room near an exit so as not to disturb other guests The rooms were good, a bit on the smaller side but the bathroom was spacious and the shower was really nice

Didn’t experience any of the amenities except breakfast but that was good Coffee and food were constantly being monitored to keep from running out It definitely wasn’t the cheapest option but worth every penny!

Traveling Man (KamikazeMan11)

One of the best hotels The staff here are great all over The guy at the check-in, cleaning staff, and the lady who made us drinks at the food area

They have free buffet food at dinner time, free fountain soda, and popcorn snack after they close the buffet In the morning they have the usual breakfast available in the same area as the buffet that evening Quiet stay in our room I loved the mattresses here, I slept so good Pet friendly hotel, my kid loved seeing all the dogs people had

I absolutely loved staying here! Everything here was so clean and the environment in the hotel felt very fancy despite the affordable rate The gym was open 24/7 and was just so helpful after my long day of driving The cherry on top was the complimentary breakfast bar they had in the morning

There was just about any common breakfast food you could think of and the make-your-own waffle station was super easy and quick Definitely recommend staying here!

Brock Bigard

Perfect for what we needed My family was passing through on a road trip Got in really late, so we didn’t get to take advantage of many of the amenities, but the rooms were clean and comfortable

Free breakfast was good, lots of options to choose from including some hot items (eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, hash browns) I didn’t catch her babe, but the breakfast attendant was extremely attentive

Final P

Stayed at the Four Points Nice hotel, but I came on a bad day Initially got put in a first floor room next to the parking lot and not far from the lobby

It was very loud with people walking by and talking next to the window in the parking lot, everyone walking and running past from the lobby, and the highway right across the roadThe staff was very nice and accommodating and moved me to a higher floor, so that was great Very nice staffThe bad part was they were holding some sort of event in the courtyard Had a bunch of teens getting drunk and screaming for hours outside the hotel windows that made it impossible to get an early sleepI would consider another future stay, but only if they can manage their events better and not have it full of screaming, drunk “21” year oldsAgain, nice staff, nice hotel, great bath Just a bad day to pick this hotel for me
