I’d like to start out buy saying we are IHG reward members We usually stay at IHG reward hotels mostly Holiday Inns I would strongly recommend bypassing this one

We stayed in room 320 When we woke up the bathroom was full of water all over the floor We used spare towels to clean it up so we could get ready to leave that morning My wife left her high end hair straightener to cool by the A/C when we left at 1030 or so that morning We were on our way to drop our son off at the Coast Guard Academy in New London When she realized she left it about 1050am she called the hotel The lady put her on hold for 10 min or so and came back and said they found it and it will be at the front desk She informed them we will be back at 4:00pm to pick it up When we got there, all of a sudden they can’t find it We all know what happened We are in the process of using all our reward points and changing hotels chains I would stay clear of this one!

We were traveling and had to pick a hotel for the night We often stay at Holiday Inns and have been quite satisfied Unfortunately, we were not very satisfied here

The hall carpets were stained and the carpet in the room was very worn There was a bubbling in the ceiling, a bubbling of the wallpaper in one area while it was tearing off in another area The exhaust vent was completely dirty in the bathroom as well as the ceiling tiles not aligned properly We went to iron our clothes in the morning and the ironing board was broken that it couldn’t be used We couldn’t have a coffee in the room as it was not plugged in and we would have needed to crawl under a table and sort through cords which we were not willing to do since the carpet was dirtyIn the breakfast area the wallpaper had huge bubbles where it was coming off the wall Some tracks were coming off the ceiling as well as mising valances on the shades I do not expect much from a hotel breakfast, however, it was mediocre at bestThe outside of the building looked fine and in good shape and is in a good location to shops and restaurantsThe staff were very friendlyWe just don’t feel this Holiday Inn lived up to the standards we would expect from this hotel chain

Thomas Dault

We have stayed in several IHG’s since joining their loyalty program This hotel leaves a lot to be desiredPositiveAngela is amazing at housekeepingTo be improvedBreakfast can not leave the breakfast area

Why not? Why would we want every sitting in one room when we still have an active virus? The pool room was very very hot, over 90 degrees, and the towels where no more than a hand towelThe team here, complained a lot about each other Most mornings I would sit in the business center, across from the front desk, and each day they had several complaints about other members of their team, everydayWe stayed here for the 2 bedroom rooms, but they had nothing in the kitchenette No plates, bowls, silverware, cups, etcPlease stay at the Hilton Homewood suites just up the road if you need a 2 roomPlease just treat the guests with respect, don’t make them wait 10 minutes while you finish a personal call in the back room

This hotel exceeded all expectations for my small weekend trip to New Haven The hotel is small, but feels cozy and not cramped Everyone who worked at the hotel was incredibly nice to us and even apologized for there not being valet parking (I can certainly park my own car myself)

The room was very upscale and felt clean and cozy I would certainly recommend as it is also super close to everything in that main street

Carrie Watts

Very good location if visiting the University or museums Rooms are clean, staff is friendly (even if you arrive at 3am because your flight is delayed) Agree with other posts- parking at $37 a day is atrocious

Pedestal sink with no counter space is silly And the room has no fridge or microwave- so only book here if being in walking distance to Yale and restaurants is your top priority

Suzanne Slade

The Study has always been a “home away from home” for our family With impeccable service, fully equipped, comfortable and clean, inviting rooms, we have always loved staying there I will always be grateful to them for their incredible kindness, warmth and thoughtfulness several weeks ago when we all stayed there for our mother’s funeral

Thank you to everyone there for providing so much comfort and refuge to us during that difficult time We Will appreciate it always

Very comfortable rooms, service staff was always polite and friendly During our stay there was construction which pushed the staff and the guests into each other It made our stay more enjoyable

The food and fare is very good, even the breakfast bistro It’s expensive, but it may as well be a convenience store Starbucks on tap thoughThe internet is blazing fast, and there is everything you need in the building

Cris Graca

there is no breakfast, there is no change of towels or bed linen, nor is there any cleaning in the rooms, only if you request it and look there Hotel under renovation, not respecting hours, noise and a lot of dust that invades the room, there is no cleaning or respect, this hotel seems to care only about the money, it has no consideration for guests to put it on a floor that has no renovation Ice machine is only on the 3rd floor when it works

Slow elevator with problems Honestly the worst we’ve ever stayed I do not recommend I had a terrible allergy to dust and, believe me, insects

Markus (FAST-MK5)

This hotel is very close to a lot of restaurants and fast foods including a not so great Mini WALMARTThe rooms are quiet and clean,I honestly always stay at the Hiltons down the hill but decided to give Marriott a first shotI love how clean is everything around here and yes,the pool is open and the room temperature is close to 80 degrees, water is heated

I want you to know ahead of time that there’s NO breakfast here at all UNLESS you BUY IT at a mini STARBUCKS at the main lobby(I didn’t know about this before hand)

Treated very poorly by the staff They wait every 4 days to clean rooms and don’t care to clean them even if you ask Garbage piles up in the hall, carts not put back and the staff don’t put them back

Staff unwilling to help when you ask for help with room charges, amenities Unfortunately not all the staff were this horrible but it only takes some to make it that I not only will not return here but will change my hotel choices Marriott staff should remember that I am a paying customer

Smasher Mustashi

I had to check twice to make sure we didn’t check in to the roach motel By time our stay was over I wish we had The staff we’re extremely rude and disrespectful

There was no coffee available except at breakfast, they did manage to warm it unlike the frozen breakfast food They have a pool but the staff would not allow us to use it They “don’t want to disinfect it” Their words Do yourself a favor and stay at the relatively upscale roach motel next door Marriott ought to wipe their name from this hotel asap0/5 stars! Pro-tip, from desk agent is named Terez, pronounced “trash”

I have stayed at this location in the past, but never again Our room was dirty and needs maintenance and updates The toilet seat was falling off, the seat itself was dirty,, with what appeared as either dry stool, or dry blood, I cleaned it myself when we got in the room

The couch cushions are torn The king size bed is hard as a rock, we left in pain The “sofa bed” is a joke that is not a bed it is a flimsy pad on top of a metal frame that is not usable at all I requested bedding for the sofa bed, the sheets had blood stains all over them, no idea if they had been washed or not No service for 4 days, thats ridiculous I requested clean towels, and I was told, “If we have any”, what do you mean “if we have any”? I received 2 new bath towels, yet my room originally had 4 The buffet breakfast also a joke Pre-made pre-packaged food is not a buffet, fresh fruit options, apples, oranges, bananas You are still using COVID as an excuse for poor food, poor customer service, poor maintenance of your facility, and a lack of overall cleanliness At $300 plus a night you need to do better We stayed at 2 other hotels on our 10 day trip, both had full buffet, daily room cleanings, fresh linens, and full service cleaning if requested So what is your excuse? On a positive note they allowed me to check in 2 hours early

G B

We’ve stayed here often, but will not be returning after our last visit I made reservations 10 months in advance for a nearby graduation, and specifically requested not to be located near dogs or put on a dog floor The receptionist feigned ignorance and put us right next to a room with 2 dogs that barked and bothered us whenever we came or left the room

The next day I told the desk manager how displeased I was that my request made MANY MONTHS in advance was not honored Those with dogs have no right to force others to put up with their being on premises Also, the breakfast was a joke with minimal offerings of prepackaged food This is a money saver and has nothing to due with Covid! We will not be back to this RI again

Janis Ford

My husband and I have recently been looking for a hotel that was close to our son We tried a few different hotels including Springhill Suites which is right next to the Residence Inn and were not very impressed by the people who worked there or how big the rooms were I am so happy to declare that trying the RI was the best thing we could have done

The rooms were spacious with full kitchens and very nice I wasn’t so much pleased by the housekeeping but that was a minimal part of our stay When we checked in we were greeted by a very professional, and compassionate young lady Rebecca She honestly made our stay that much better She was so kind to offer to help me up to my room with a few very heavy groceries that I had so much trouble carrying She made us feel welcome and very comfortable My husband and myself have finally found the perfect hotel to stay at when seeing our son and we couldn’t be happier Thanks to the wonderful room, Rebecca and Troy who was lovely and ran breakfast, We will always have a wonderful go to hotel when we arrive in Connecticut! We love Marriotts and the service we received really matched with what the brand stands for

Very professional and friendly staff The accommodations were quiet, spacious and are well suited for a longer term stay They had a refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, toaster, garbage disposal, laundry facilities along with free breakfast

I think what made my like it the most was the professionalism & how far above and beyond the staff went to make me feel welcome The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is that the maintenance was not kept up as well as I would’ve expected for the Marriott brand

Pushnit2 Tbd

I stayed there for an extended time, insurance issue Mostly clean and tidy, first room has ant infestation They took care of it

Then a bit into the stay the upstairs room supposedly flooded that room Ok I get it At least I was out of where the building where the kid was killed and the new building was quieter and not as many parting quest The moved me to a similar location Told maintenance and front desk staff of a couple issues with the room They did nothing Consistency with their staff is an issue Being there for a longer stay u will notice it Also either the people who designed the room or the installed didn’t thing it out too well Several issues with that Then insurance company asked to extent it as they have done multiple times Said no, we are booked They way it was handled doesn’t feel right But at least I’m away from that place If ur just staying overnight or a long weekend, u will be fine There weren’t too many issues Otherwise Caveat emptor

Tiffany LaFleur

Clearly they do NOT change the sheets because I had blood on my sheets The blood was not from me because I have no open wounds or bleeding anywhere from my body When I called the front desk to complain, the young lady who answered the phone apologized and stated it was only her and the maintenance guy there but she would send up some new sheets

The maintenance man handed me the bag of sheets for me to change the sheets myself because “he doesn’t change sheets” When he saw how upset I was getting, he decided to come in to “assist” me to change the sheets Imagine my room being paid for to have blood stain sheets and basically being told to change my own sheets I’m so disgusted by this establishment Not even offered to change my room but offered to change my own sheets smh I took pictures of the sheets but for some reason I can’t attach it to this review

A truly wonderful place to stay The rooms and hotel are decorated in a way that excites and stimulates imagination of history and elegance The lobby is a peaceful and intriguing place to study or hangout

With people congregating throughout the day around the Pointdexter coffee shop and the many nooks and rooms to lounge in, It creates a really nice vibe The staff was more than a pleasure to engage with and the convenient and cozy Old Spielberg bar on the basement level is a perfect after dinner stop to grab a few drinks before returning to your comfortable and clean room The location is perfect, in the heart of the city with everything you would like just minutes away either by foot or car The rooms are complete with responsive thermostat temperature control and an easy to use television system with ample channels The gorgeous, tastefully renovated and clean bathrooms are complete with pleasant toiletries and good water pressure I will be visiting again soon!

James McNamara

The hotel is good, but for the price it falls way short of the experience you would expect The front desk is operated by very young people who don’t appear to be trained in the service or hotel industry They’re not particularly knowledgeable of the area

The hotel itself has no parking; beware of the parking garage the front desk recommends because it’s not a 24 garage I couldn’t access my car for an early morning flightThe rooms are nice and well kept

Patty White

We loved this nostalgic hotel “the old Duncan Hotel” The Graduate is beautiful inside and took us back in time with its elegant ambiance You expect to see the bell hop waiting at the elevator to take your luggage

We stayed on the second floor and our room was so quiet and the bed was very comfortable Check-in desk staff is very nice Only problem we experienced was parking in the garage they recommend Would have appreciated being warned that if you return late at night parking garage is locked up and you can’t get in Keeps your car safe but knowing this would have saved us an inconvenience We were visiting from Texas for relatives 80th birthday and we’re unaware of parking garages locking up at night Would enjoy staying in this hotel again though

A very pleasant stayThe rooms were gorgeous, with cleanliness and spaciousness all the way aroundThe front desk and guest services were so kind; there were times that I was confused on something, or I needed something (toiletries, etc

) and they would send the info or stuff right to me that timeI worked out in the gym there every day I stayed, and all the equipment and stuff were sufficientBreakfast was impressive; variety of healthy options, good taste, kindness from the employeesLocation was convenient; around one hour away from New Haven, but plenty of things to do around this area

Lacey Cyr

Our suite was extremely spacious & overall very nice The kitchenette with the fridge & microwave was perfect for our needs It would be even better if they updated the bathtub as it was a bit discolored & the shower head only worked well on 1 of the settings

You do need to make a reservation to use the pool area, but it is well worth it The waterside was a ton of fun The kids really enjoyed it We were the only ones in the pool area the first time that we used it & it was like having a private mini waterpark The second time we used the pool, we had the misfortune of being there at the same time as a group who was not willing to wait in line for the slide They would not even wait for the person in front of them to exit the tube before going down themselves and two young, unattended teens were using the life preservers as toys That chaos made it difficult to enjoy the pool since we spent the entire time making sure that the rowdy group didn’t injure our children Better supervision in the pool area would be nice Overall would stay here again

Caitlin Curtin

the staff could have been nicer to the children and they could have been more considerate of the being of the children other than that the hotel was clean and the house keeping was quick their pool towels are like kitchen towels they are extremely small and they’re should be bigger

their pillows should be much bigger hence my hand was the size of it

The bottom line is that over the weekend of 6/18/22 I reserved two connecting rooms for a wedding and one of them, Rm 128, had BED BUGS in the lounge chair It was only in the lounge chair and not the beds of either room I caught one of the bugs and showed it to the front desk

My biggest bother with the staff was that an ample lady with long locked hair and fuzzy slippers said it wasn’t a bed bug I told her to look closer and her response was “No, I don’t want to get close to it” Totally unprofessional! They offered to change my room or refund me for one room if I wished to stay I tried to find someplace else to go, but no other rooms were available in the area The rest of the employees had a better attitude and got me in touch with management Ultimately, I was reimbursed the cost of both rooms for my full stay Based on my experience with travel, that may be the best I can do, but I didn’t like my legs being inflamed and itching for the next few days I insisted that they treat the room, but as we checked out, housekeeping was prepping the room I hope others don’t put their bags on that chair and take home unwanted bugs

Gerry Wyckoff

I didn’t actually stay here My daughter and new husband did after wedding before honeymoon She was NOT happy

That night there was a group of people outside having a party of sorts drinking and being very loud until 2 in the morning It took a few complaints from customers to get staff to control situation Then she scheduled to use conference room for a little catered breakfast for family and friends day after wedding The room was not ready on time and family had to pitch in to get room setup correctly after staff did a rediculous job positioning tables We won’t be going back

William Guan

It was perhaps the worst Courtyard Marriot hotel that I have never stayed, what a disgrace to Marriot brand name The floor was dirty, no room house-keeping service for 4 days during my entire stay, no complimentary breakfast and even a welcome coffee, expensive in-hotel restaurant, and unworked e-door key The only good thing was perhaps just the sufficient amount of water out from the shower head

I have stayed in other brand hotels nearby and they are all much better than this one I left my feedback to the survey as per requested by Marriot I did not get any compensation for the poor or non-service but only the wordings from the front manager that she would speak with the house keeping and front office staff – the customer’s satisfaction is not guaranteed

The room was nice and clean but there was only a shampoo in the bathroomno conditioner and no shower or hand soap

Luckily I brought my own bathroom necessities because I live only a few miles from the hotel and had to stay the night to get to shower due to septic issues at my home The front desk may have been able to give me those items but it’s the sheer fact they should have already been in the room

Tom Schmid

Can’t say enough about the courtesy, kindness, and accommodating attitude of the management and all the staff We were in the process of a difficult interstate move, the delivery kept getting delayed, and the hotel staff worked extra hard to make sure we did not have to worry about arranging extra days at the last minute, late checkout, or having our pet in the room The room itself was flawless

Kudos to this hotel for doing all the big and little things right and for dealing with special circumstances efficiently and with great compassion

JimandColleen Cyr

We booked months in advance, and I confirmed at time of booking that a cot could be added to our double queen room When we checked in, they said it was a fire hazard and could not do it But the clerk upgraded us to a double king room with a sofa bed, at no extra charge

This is good customer service The room was very big and excellent This is a VERY nice hotel, right off the highway yet hidden in thick woods It was quiet and the room stayed dark Good Wi-Fi The pool was AWESOME, big and warm There was a nice pool table in the lounge area, and the next morning they allowed our kids to use it (the bar was not open yet) We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked very nice There is a gas station/convenience store right next door, along with a deli/bakery/grocery store which was great Our room rate was very reasonable for such a nice room/hotel HIGHLY recommend this hotel

We stayed several nights in May 2022 (for the Yale reunion) and absolutely loved our experience The rooms are very well-appointed, with all the comforts of home including a wet bar area that looks very posh The decor and accent pieces were all so tastefully done, both in the room and the lobby

We were also quite impressed with the gym and fitness equipmentNever had a problem with noise for the four nights we were there I wish we had a hotel with this kind of vibe closer to where we are in Northern California!

Melanie

The hotel was very comfortable, and the morning coffee/tea service was a great touch We drove in from NYC and booked this hotel since we were eloping at City Hall the next morning, and trying to request a late checkout was far more difficult than I have encountered at any hotel in the past I noted the purpose of our trip in the reservation comments and was surprised that not one staff member bothered to share a simple “congratulations” when they read/heard we were getting married

We repeatedly received well wishes from strangers on the street I would have thought it would be the bare minimum from someone who had chosen a career in the hospitality industry The hotel was beautiful, but the service did not match the premium price point

Jessica Silvia

Just got home from our stay in room 314 and already miss the beautiful features We were in town for a concert and the location of this hotel was perfect It was in walking distance to many great restaurants, but also has a fine dining type restaurant on the main level and a rooftop bar that serves snack type foods along with delicious cocktails

Our room was perfect for what we needed and we could tell there were many thought out details that went into planning that you often don’t see at the big name hotels The staff was friendly and courteous and we really appreciated the complimentary morning coffee delivery each morning

Our family has had to stay in a few hotels in the area while our home was under construction and Hyatt House has been our favorite experience thus far We booked a king room with pullout bed and kitchenette for our family of four and it was the perfect amount of space to stay for the 4 days we were there The room was dated but VERY clean and organized

The bed was perfect for sleeping and even the pullout bed was the most comfortable one I have ever slept onThe staff was so kind every moment and attentive to anything we needed Breakfast was ample, the space was always clean and the food was always warm – and we appreciated the warm cookies and drinks available at night The pool and hot tub were a tad heavy on the chemicals but the temps were just right for us We visited every nightWe used the gym every day too and I loved the upgraded treadmills and variety of machines available for the space (3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, 2 bikes, weights and standing weight machine) Whenever we addressed a question of concern, it was taken with care and answered as we hoped We will be staying again!

Stayed here for one night while traveling Not too far off of Rt 8, which was helpful The room was clean and everyone on staff was very friendly

The hotel was quietThe pool/hot tub was open till 10pm which was great They have a bar downstairs and offer breakfast at 7am Thanks for the good stay

Shane Vega

The breakfast was absolutely the worst The juice was totally watered down The oatmeal was like water and wasn’t thick at all any of the days

I watched the worker take a piece of sausage sitting on the counter and put it back in with the sausages Just insane! The coffee was straight water They are either cutting corners or their staff has no idea what they are doing Was a waste of money for sureThe room shower was clogged and the shower head was broken upon entry of the room You have no free water so it cost you $7 a bottle of you drink the waters in the room 😱 The room smelled damp like humid

78 DEGREE ROOMSI am not sure why all of the reviews within the past 2 weeks are more than 1 starThe hotel is very nice (lobby, elevators, hallways) However, once we checked in we were not warned about all of the room conditions

It was not until after driving 3 hours, checking in, and opening our room door that we noticed the room temperature was 78 degrees We turned the thermostat down to 67, left and came back 30 minutes later to the room still at 78 Called the front desk and they said they had no other rooms to move us to They also said all fans had been given out to other rooms 3am we called the desk again and they moved us to a room that a guest had cancelled their reservation 3am we moved all of our belongings to a new room The new room was 74 degrees, but eventually went back up to 78 We had our dog with us and had to keep filling buckets of ice for him to keep cool as well as put damp towels on the ground for him to lay onThe hotel made no attempt to warn us prior to our arrival The hotel made no attempt to go out and buy more fans I have never had such an uncomfortable stay in a hotel

Great location, just around the corner from the Yale campus, restaurants and shopping Parking garage attached to the hotel via a sky bridge so you don’t have to go out in the rain or other weather to go to your car Well-stocked 24-hour mini market in the lobby

Staff was very friendly and helpful Room was well appointed and clean Would stay here again

Convenient location Was greeted by such a friendly receptionist at the front desk! Booking process and check in was simple and fast The room was clean, just a tad hot and humid when I arrived

Took some time to cool down There is no included parking You have to pay to park in parking garage across street Garage is connected to hotel and was easy access once parked I was not aware of this when I booked Overall great experience and would stay here again!

Comfortable hotel, a litt strange if only for the fact for more conventional travelers that there was no face to face interaction for check in or check out Definitely will be double checking that I wasn’t double charged by some mistake of lack of communication between the booking site and this systemOtherwise it was very nice for a nights stop over

Decent bed and furnishings, quickly heated water for a shower, easy to access and use temperature controls

Lexie Griffith

This hotel had tons of potential with a cool look and a restaurant on site! I stayed here for a business trip and enjoyed my room, very clean and cool decor The restaurant was pretty yummy and easy, just steps from my door However, once I decided to call it a night, it was next to impossible to fall asleep with loud blaring music from the restaurant downstairs and skews of people yelling outside my window

There was also a terrible sewer smell somewhere nearby that filled my room even with all doors and windows closed I wanted to love it, but not being able to have a quiet enjoyment until the music stopped at 1am was not up to par for me

Marc Maertens (Home)

Higher end motel but certainly not a hotel Room is ok but needs more lightHuge issue and reason for low score is the very annoying constant loud noise from a generator or something similar we had in our room 311, coming from below

Impossible to sleep Called ‘reception’ but nothing could be done Did not care at allRecommendation: look elsewhere!!!!

Nice hotel located in the ‘Heritage’ community, an upscale (retirement?) village with lots of greenery and water The hotel is big and very busy, at any given day multiple events and conferences appeared to be going onThe rooms are nice, somewhat small but nicely appointed and very clean

They appear quite recently renovated and everything looked good The facilities of the hotel are excellent, the gym area is very large and has enough equipment for an extensive workout; as well as a big pool The food at the restaurant is good, and they host a weekly pubquiz which was funStaff is very friendly and helpful

Started off good When I first got here I was impressed with the location and thought it looked nice from the outside They have a lively tavern which was nice

Got to the room and first impressions was not bad But then I tried to turn the TV on and found it very unresponsive Then I tried to adjust the thermostat and got an error code So then I tried to use the phone to call the front desk and found out that doesn’t work So I called using my cell phone only to have to leave a message which never got responded to And then the clincher is at 11:30 at night some jerk decided to pull the fire alarm which went on for about 20 minutes Thankfully I talked to the hotel staff who told me there was no fire just a very inconsiderate person pulling an alarm I am going up to Boston and stopped here I’m a cancer patient going to look at a clinical trial I just wanted a good night’s sleep before continuing my journey I actually had thought about returning on my way home but I will probably just look for something else Oh and despite the hotel website mentioning a breakfast I found out that there is none here But there is a cafe that I can walk to

Eran Cullinane

I overheard the hotel receptionist being extremely rude to my wife They changed their demeanor once I came to the front desk even before any verbal exchange from myself Hotel was overall super dirty

The worst part was our hotel bathroom towels The towels are supposed to be white, yet had brown residue as they were definitely not washed efficiently Most of the newly delivered towels were literally still dirty The Television remote had inadequate operation The door did not lock properly The restaurant’s bar tenders were extremely disgruntled and rude to the wedding party who rented it out for the remainder of the night It appears this place probably used to be a hotel of class, and now, out of the necessity of large space, they still charge overpriced rooms

We stayed two nights over the weekend while visiting CT and loved the beauty of the hotel It is close to the highway and easily accessible to the Boston Post Road shopping and restaurants, 15 minutes to downtown New Haven You can also get to the shoreline and seafood restaurants in about 15 minutes

The rooms have 10 foot ceilings which I have never seen and they are very spacious! The staff were very friendly and attentive The laundry facility was clean and the dryers were excellent I only had to put $150 in once to dry our clothes They have an indoor pool and hot tub and breakfast was hot (I wasn’t a fan of anything but it was clean and hot) I will definitely stay here again It was a better experience compared to staying in Manhattan at a “luxury” hotel

Paul Jacobs

The all new Homewood Suites is by far the nicest and best hotel in the entire New Haven and surrounding area Appearance wise, they went above and beyond any comparably priced hotel, it’s truly beautiful inside along with the manicured, park like grounds outside The rooms are spacious with kitchens and I was told there are 1 bedroom suites in addition to the studio designed, apartment like rooms

It is quiet, peaceful and serene with amenities such as the indoor pool, hot tub, well equipped gym, basketball court, gas grills with outside tables, the buffet breakfast and social hour is inside an amazing, spacious and open room overlooking picture perfect,, landscaped, countryside of Orange, CT Many guests must stay longer term as I met a nurse from the South working at Yale’s hospital Some of the reviews are not accurate and to claim racism with the most diverse staff tells me that they must have violated the state mandated, Covid rules that I recall being handed a copy of on my first time, check in Another complained of the hot tub being cold so yes, these things can happen anywhere but should not characterize this brand new hotel that I felt was comparable to a Ritz Carlton without the exorbitant prices associated with a top rated, full service hotel If I can get the facility without paying for the services such as room service, bellman service and valet parking, it’s a huge win as no doubt, this Homewood Suites room in Manhattan or any major city would be $1200 or more per night The staff were all polite and friendly, usually addressing me by name Any poor review I would beg to differ with after multiple stays and will tell anyone to use the place for its intention, a comfortable nights stay in a beautifully appointed room with hotel amenities galore, enjoy the great breakfast buffet or mingle during the weeknight cocktail hours, charge your EV in one of the several charging stations, even has an Amazon delivery lockers in the lobby I can go there in the worst mood and become instantly happy and do go there on occasion for a night or two to feel away and on vacation While this hotel certainly did not deserve a single poor review, what it does deserve is telling the truth about this fantastic place, just hope after all these compliments they do not raise the price

Nice clean hotel Very good with housekeeping You notice the room is slightly dated if the AC not running but it was still great

Best were all the wonderful employees who made our stay even better than we expected although we run into a little booking issue due to the selected upgrades They resolved it in the best way Very happy and highly recommend because their guest services is excellent Would be happy to return

Room was clean and fresh Hotel was very quiet on the Fourth floor for the whole holiday weekend The breakfast attendant Malikah went above and beyond making sure everything was first rate for breakfast

She was warm and cheerful and polite All the employees reached out kindly to help with anything we needed Great experience at this hotel

This Hampton Inn is really gorgeous and the people are very nice, especially the custodial workers and cleaning service personnel The rooms have many outlets and USB ports, which is very nice There are two elevators and wheelchair accessible accommodations in the dining area and bathrooms

The rooms do not have a proper place to hang a hand towel, but that is not a big deal The TV does have a guide channel, unlike other recent ones, which is nice They gave a small convenience store, but it is cheaper to go to the one next door and they were out of several essential items I was shocked that when I asked for a bar of deodorant, having run out on our travels, that they only had one bar, for men, and were going to charge me $350 for this little travel size This is the first time, Diamond member or not, that they have charged for simple sundries They know that I am set to stay there four nights, paying a pretty penny, no nights on points I would have thought they could spare a bar of deodorant The breakfast was subpar, with minimal spread each day, but manageable considering a free meal The pool has water that is green You cannot see your limbs in it The food is the same every morning, and our room keys and my digital key continues to stop working
