If you want a nice romantic getaway in a wonderful old inn this is the place for you The views are fantastic, and the inn just feels so cozy I loved the working gas fireplace in our room! And it was nice to have a continental breakfast even though it wasn’t a kitchen cooked breakfast, it was the kind you pop in the microwave

I would highly recommend this place

Miranda Monk

I do not have enough positive things about this venue The entire wedding process from start to finish was phenomenal The owners of the Inn are as accommodating as possible and were so sweet to work with on the day of the event

Chelsey, the wedding coordinator for the Inn is as fabulous as it gets She is prompt, professional and has a calming presence which helps many brides We had a unexpected thunderstorm come through 15 min before our ceremony and the whole staff worked with us just to push everything back 30 min to allow us to have the outdoor ceremony of our dreams We were so incredibly impressed with their flexibility and accommodations Our guests raved about the food, the quality of the staff and the gorgeous views this venue offers The whole weekend was flawless from start to finish Would get married here 10x over

The opportunity to stay at The Lucerne is one I seldom pass up on The view out over Phillips Lake is amazing, watching hawks and eagles soar in the wind has such a calming effect Sipping a cup of coffee and watching the night slide away as the sun grips more of the landscape is breathtaking

The only mild detractor was the sound of traffic so close by, easily tolerable but noticeableThe staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and kind Everyone will have different requirements for the amount of involvement they expect but the staff seemed to strike a reasonable balance between too much or too little attentionThe food was amazing, full of flavor, and surrounded by a diverse menu that highlighted the local cuisine but also incorporated an aire of high class dining Though a touch more expensive than my usual taste it seemed reasonable for what was presented in both quality and quantity

Dirty rooms mold in bathroom I stayed there about 10 years ago wasn’t bad and prices were fair but looks like no updates in that time $22100 for a dive like that is extremely over priced

Glad I had slippers with me couldn’t dream of walking on the carpet without them Will never stay there again even if it was for free Check in time is 3pm Wasn’t ready until almost 4pm still don’t know what they cleaned would give a rating of 0 if I could!!!!

Mandy Rousselle

Staff is friendly Coffee is OK Rooms are dirty

Bathrooms are moldy and have old water stains The price is cheap but you get what you pay for First room had a saggy bed and an old thick blank I’m sure they don’t wash after every use The second room is the pics and had new bed covers but no other blankets, again they probably don’t change them or wash them between each use Location is good and convenient

Lady Libra

Spent one night in the king suite outback with spa tub Very nice and clean Nice and cool

Spa tub was so relaxing Decent price Did notice some riff raff outside But it is to be expected in the area Once inside we locked both locks, pull the shades, and relaxed The ac was loud though but drowned out any noises outside including the traffic We didnt eat the breakfast so we have no review on that We left and went about the rest of our day Staff was great Only complaint was the loudness of the ac it was hard to sleep at times It took awhile for the hot water to heat up but once it did it was great! We will be back!

The location is great, the rooms are great, the customer service is excellent, and the pool and hot tub are awesome There is even a outdoor patio by the pool area which was nice to sit in My only complaints are with the TV in the room, it stopped working multiple times

First time it stopped working we had staff come to fix it, second time we got lucky and fixed it ourselves The breakfast was alright, basically mediocre But we will definitely return here in the future We are very pleased with this hotel

Keegan Gruh’A

Ezra “Keyser Soze” Orchard

Pleasant enough staff Relatively good breakfast 6 night stay

No, zero, room cleaning, house keeping service due to Covid19 shortages Now I would understand this no house keeping shortage if they discounted the room additionally or were sincerely contrite about it, but I don’t think a hotel should be able to charge full price and offer no cleaning service

Paul Ing

Some of the best customer service I’ve experienced in years I work in the hospitality business and hold customer service to very high standards The front desk staff named Sarah was exceptional

While eating breakfast I witnessed her greeting nearly every passing guest and some of them by name She freely gave out travel tips with enthusiasm and an insider’s knowledge She set the standard

Scott Kowalczuk

From the moment my family and I arrived, we knew this was going to be an enjoyable stay The staff are friendly, professional, and take pride in their work This is immediately apparent by the way the staff interact with their guests, as well as the excellent condition of the facility and amenities

I’ve travelled extensively in my 20 years of service to our country, and I can say without hesitation this was the best stay I’ve ever had Thank you Sarah, Collin, Hunter, Jaimie, Sheri, Linda, and the rest of the staff for making this possible

I hate to review hotels I am picky I guess I expect a lot from places I am spending 400 a night

Like clean rooms The floor in my room was damp causing the room to be alittle musky Also the care and up keep wasn’t there There was a dent in the walllike some one punched it The bathroom light fixtures were rusty and the outlet filthy Now let’s talk about the shower the shower head had mold on it! Okay so I wish I took photos to show you yes but did I no I was there too spend time my family and I didn’t want to be brought down by things I easily cleaned

I wouldn’t have my worst enemy stay here For the price I paid I didn’t get a proportional value or enjoyment The room is a hodpodge of updates

New flooring and a new bed Otherwise the room was dark and dungeon likeThe mattresses were extremely uncomfortable I feel like they chose the cheapest mattress for the space it’s a very firm bed An air mattress would be more comfortable The wifi was barely functioning I was getting 5mbps for downloads I did not receive the advertised whoopie pie at check-inWe stayed here to attend an event at the cross arena It was not worth the savings I should have booked at one of the other two nearby hotels instead

This hotel is the diretiest hotel I have stayed in since I lived in certain parts of Africa and stayed in some of the dirtiest hotels in the world There is a hole in the lining to the fireplace making using the fireplace a fire risk There are stains on the chairs and furniture

The carpet looks like it was installed in WWII There is mold growing in the bathroom The electrical wiring was installed after the room was build as evidenced by the wire guides on both sides of the room The walls are paper thin As of March 2022, this is definetley a hotel I would not recommend The owner obviously takes advantage of being next to the Hollywood casino next door I mistakenly thought becuase it’s a “Firestone Inn and Suites” chain, that it would be like the beautiful Fireside Inn and Suites in Belfast It is the polar opposite If you value your health, stay away from this dump On the back of the door, they say on the Government mandatory price disclosure that they charge up to $700 a night for this room I am stunned that the City of Bangor has inspected this hotel for safety concerns raised here

First off, I want clear up some of the negative reviews on here, while there is a homeless camp near by, it is not in view of the hotel And, it is not trashy- it actually looks like a sparsely populated campground The rooms appear newly renovated and were immaculate

The A/C works great and kept us cool and comfortable The kitchenette was spotless, we did not need to use it but it would be nice for a longer stay The grounds are well kept and there are beautiful pots of flowers upon entering This a dog friendly hotel and the grounds and neighborhood are just perfect for dog walking, and the front desk lady has treats for your fur baby We felt safe there in a quiet part of Bangor, there was also a security guard on duty Honestly I had the best night of sleep I’ve had in a very long time Now keep in mind, this is a small mom and pop establishment, so if you need the amenities of a big corporate hotel- this is not the place for you If you like to support small, local businesses, this is the place We will definitely be returning, thank you!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️THE BEST STAY EVER! Great location, easy to get in and out of the city Super close to the Airport and bus stop The environment was super friendly and welcoming

Both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy Todd, the manager is always willing to address any questions/issues you may have to make you feel like at home and happy Plus! They are dog 🐩 people and our dog Albert definitely had fun up there with all the attention and treatsIn general all the staff was wonderful The hotel is very well maintained The beds were very firm, they have kitchen, fridge, microwave available in the suites and Laundry in the hallway They even allowed us to bring our own bed (Health reasons) and help with accommodating itThank you all for such a wonderful stay! We surely will come back in the near future ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Terrible service I’m glad I didn’t get the chance to stay here because the location is actually quite intimidating with a group of homeless people on the road up If you go the other way you do get to avoid that but who’s to say what direction you’re coming from

Booked a room from here through another site and that site emailed my associate and I with a reservation confirmation saying it was still ready and booked We show up around 4pm and they already gave the room away without a care and marked it as a no-show The best thing the staff did was recommend another hotel to go to I do believe the reviews are only as good as they are because they reply with rude comments after your review isn’t what they want to hear so people are reluctant to say anything Not a desirable place from any angle I can’t say anything nice about this place but take it how you will

We think the hotel was previously an old folks home The bathroom had a sliding partition door and a lot of grab rails This would not be a problem had they given everything a clean and a coat of paint

It’s hard not to use the word disgusting so how about grubby? The sink in the bathroom would drain, eventually The sheets had stains, although they were different colours which added some flair I think the carpet was new in 1970The only redeeming qualities were the breakfast, which was really quite well done and the staff were friendlyFor the price I was expecting something quite good, we stayed at a Hampton the next night for about 15% more and it was great

Robin Hills

The staff were friendly and the location was convenientThat is where it endsWe booked this location with our friends

They booked a room explicitly to stay with their pets and the staff refused to honor the reservation They also refused to provide a refund since it was “booked online” Our friends were forced to book the stay somewhere else losing the money The kids were looking forward to staying with their friends which was a disappointing way to start their first visit to BangorThe heated indoor pool appeared to be broken, but was still open The water was cold, the pump was not running and was able to feel the wind blowing through the windows in the pool areaThe building itself is in a clear state of disrepair Leaking windows, ceiling mold, sagging bathtub, the lock continually jammed when trying to open the door General maintenance is lacking with craters in the parking lot and cigarette butts covering most of the outdoor areaTo be honest I blame myself for most of the issues related to this stay I should of read the reviewsWill not be back and will be telling everyone I know 👍

Ashlie Gagnon

We are semi-local and we’re looking for a nice cost efficient place to stay after a concert Upon checking in, I knew immediately I chose the wrong hotel Thankfully it was only for 1 night and to sleep so we toughed it out

Now to the issues; the outside is poorly maintained and there was trash/debris all over the place, front desk was cute but oddly situated, halls were disgusting- clearly never been carpet cleaned, trash, debris, dirt, etc all through it We were there almost a full 24 hours (check in to check out and no one ever even vaccuumed), bags of trash from guests laying along the walls and not being picked up, overall gross The room looked and smelt fairly clean so that was a plus No key to the safe so unable to use, bathroom floor clearly had not been cleaned (dirt, hair, etc) on it making me question the cleanliness of the carpet in the room The back access door to our floor was supposed to be secured by room key but the door would not close fully so it was not secure Lastly the pool, the water was cloudy and had foam and debris floating it in, it was disgusting I will never stay here again and recommend you don’t make the same mistake I did

Although the rooms are a bit bleak with a lot of bare wall space, the bed and easy chair were comfortable Well lit once you find the little rocker switches Keurig and microwave appreciated

Only one elevator in a very long quad structure means many second floor rooms require climbing stairs, for practical access Good value on IHG points

This Holiday Inn in Bangor far exceeded my expectations and I used a ‘Reward’ night for my stay We wish every hotel we stayed at was this organized, clean, trained, helpful, good parking, and with nice updated rooms to beat, along with amenities to go with it all! We didn’t get to swim in the pool at all, or go to the workout room, yet we did enjoy the courtyard area You guys & gals over at the IHG in Bangor rock!!! Thank you 😊

We arrived to a beautifully apportioned setting with lots of folks eating dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel The foods we observed looked amazing and we decided to eat there also We were not disappointed!! Hotel staff was very pleasant and courteous and that helped set the tone for day 1 of our stay

The suite was nicely decorated with full sized appliances

This was one of the first Residence Inns that I stayed at I thought it was pretty nice at the time, but after traveling around the US and staying at loads of other Residence Inns, I can say for sure: this place is an absolute rip off The rates they’re charging for rooms do not match the accommodations/comfort at all

Their hotel design was way too guest-restrictive (absurdly low thermostat limits, forced ventilation, key card had to be in a slot for the lights to work, etc), and this was quite literally the only Residence Inn that I’ve been to that didn’t have ovens in the guest rooms (maybe just the studio rooms?) They actually had to have maintenance come up to my room to raise the 75 degree maximum (seriously, 75 degrees F, in winter) thermostat temperature on their tamper-proof, unbranded thermostats This was considered a special accommodation, to have a livable temperature in my $300+ per night guest roomAcross the entire US, I’ve seen nothing like this at other Residence Inns – even brand new ones The level of restrictiveness/guest-control measures here was borderline obsceneMy girlfriend and I booked 2 nights in 2 rooms here after we moved out of our house on Mount Desert Island Over $300 per night per room for studio “suites” We’ve paid less than half that for two bedroom suites, at nicer and far more comfortable locations, with this same brand It was the first leg of our journey of traveling the country, and it was, by far, the least comfortable and most disproportionately expensive Marriott extended stay hotel that we’ve been toThe only good thing that I can really say about this place is that it was clean – but all of the others have been clean, too – and equally so It was nothing specialI would not recommend this place to anyone, and cost aside, I would only return to it as a last resort-Full time traveler, one time guest, Bonvoy Titanium Elite member

Perfect stay! Hotel staff was friendly The gentleman that worked nights (we arrived at hotel after 8 hours pm both nights) was super friendly and very helpful with everything Compared to a few other hotels we have stayed at on our trip (SpringHill Suites Boston, MA & AC Hotel Portland, ME) this one topped both

Spacious room with good layout and very clean We highly recommend this location We were visiting the area to go to Bar Harbor, ME and this was the closest Marriott that would fit my family with of 4 (older son & daughter) It was about an hour drive but was worth it for the size of room and the kindness of the employees The only hotel where we didn’t get stuck on 2nd floor because of using points

It’s a great place to have fun they are a smaller casino but they still have slots, roulette, black jack, video poker, many times they have drawings also They have a buffet that’s really good Bar, and they have free soda, tea, and such

Their rooms are nice bit of honestly for the price I was expecting a little more they were a little plain but overall a great place

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a place This site will compare countless booking websites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This place is one of my favorites in the area

I have been staying here for a long time If you decide to stay here you won’t regret itI was quoted 3 different room prices for a room and then they made me pay the highest rate, and being an aarp along with triple a member ! But the casino atmosphere made up for my 5 star revue

We had high hopes because everything looked very fancy and nice At first glance, our room (The Presidents Room) was perfect However, shortly after staying in the room we found several flaws

The toilet seat was broken and we were only given one roll of toilet paper and we ran out I tried to take a bath but water came out brown and smelly, even after running it for several minutes The TV remote did not work The bed was very comfy (which is why I have two stars instead of one) but either the pillows or the bedding smelled dirty The person at the front desk was so kind and welcoming but unfortunately it was an awful stay I would caution anyone thinking of staying to check out what the water looks/smells like because I personally don’t think anyone should be using it

I stayed at The Charles Inn during early part of June The Inn itself is cute, but not practical by any means No amenities to speak of and make sure to bring your own toiletries

Also, the sheets where like sandpaper I wouldn’t have left this review, however, until I saw the owner criticizing the way downtown Bangor celebrated Pride this year Quite honestly, I was in love with the downtown area so much that I overlooked many of the hotel’s shortcomings because I thought they were a part of what made this community so welcoming Now knowing that the owner wants us to be who we are “behind closed doors,” I will never be staying behind their closed doors again

I’ll sum this place’s value up by repeating the old real estate mantra – location, location, location! The rooms are dated but comfortable enough, although the room we stayed in did not have any workable desk space for working remotely We did have to ask for a WiFi voucher for any reasonable connection speeds Fireplace was wallpaper

The real downside here (at least in summer) is the window-mounted A/C, which is loud and difficult to control well enough to get the desired temperature in your room Friendly and efficient front desk service
