4 day stay for family vacation and I absolutely loved it!! It’s 5 minutes away from the airport and the Location is Amazing!! My son and I had a huge Suite with views of the Marina! Right across the street a gorgeous park, facing the harbor! Simply Breathtaking at Sunset!! The front desk staff were all amazing and kind, as were the hotel staff And the 2nd floor outdoor pool and patio was the perfect place to Wind down after a long day of touring the city! Highly recommended!!

This was without question the best Hampton we have ever stayed in Check in was easy (and parking while checking in and unloading very convenient) Self parking was a breeze

The rooms were good size, clean, and the view of the harbor out our window was beautiful! And location – wow! We walked 2 blocks and were at the harbor, with its beautiful ships (cutters, as well as military) and restaurants The hotel is surrounded by other restaurants as well And the area seemed perfectly safeFinally, breakfast was decent (which is always a question mark at Hampton’s…) All in all, we would choose to stay here for every SD visit going forward!

This hotel was incredibly frustrating If you are looking for a relaxing getaway, this hotel is not there to provide that They are more interested in taking care of their business than they are taking care of their guests

The rooms are sort of updated but feel outdated Most rooms have an awful view of a junked up courtyard and train tracks, which you do hear frequently The front desk staff is vindictive and rude when you complain about the hotel situation The parking situation is interesting, you pay for it but you’re not guaranteed a spot and if it’s full you have to go park in another lot and pay out of pocket This is such a fun situation to deal with after taking the family on a day out in San Diego The entire area smells like urine from the homeless that dominate the area The breakfast area is a small spot that can be challenging to fight through The elevators are questionable with 2 of 3 elevators down during our visit Every guest complained about the condition and speed of the elevators, people would get on an elevator regardless of the direction just to get on During peak times we waited 20 min for an elevator The stairs are not functional because they only take you outside and not to the lobby or the parking garage I cannot remember a more awful hotel experience and beg you to stay away and save yourself the stress and frustration

Everything in Coronado California is expensive The Glorietta Bay Inn is no exception That being said, what follows is based on what you get for the price you pay

The room we were given for a recent Friday night stay can only be described as a small motel room with very little space to move aroundTo their credit, the Glorietta Bay Inn did put many amenities in the room A modern TV, a desk & chair, comfortable queen bed, two nightstands, occupant controlled heating & air-conditioning unit, mini-fridge etcThese items took up much of the space available giving the occupants a cramped feeling When you pay over $500 for one night, you have the right to expect a little more space for your moneyAside from the size, the air in the room was stale, suggesting it needed some cross ventilation Maybe the air conditioning unit’s air filter needed to be replaced as wellBalancing all this was the excellent customer service from all the staff with whom we interacted They were friendly, polite and very well trained They made our stay enjoyable and pleasurableOverall, we enjoyed our stay despite the deficiencies of the room I recommend the Glorietta Bay Inn, but advise anyone contemplating a stay here to learn as much as possible about the room you will be assigned Our room was #561

Stephen Spiro

Absolutely loved our stay They were super accommodating to my family and I think we had one of the best rooms in the place for our situation Have a family with little kids, being just steps from the pool and hot tub, each night we would go from our back door 10 steps and into the hot tub before going to bed

The location is 1 block from the beach and you go straight through the Del to get there Breakfast was really good and a huge plus with little kids Hotel is tailored for couples looking for a retreat in the mansion rooms and pretty cool the amount of suites for families I would for sure stay here again BTW – book directly with the hotel vs travel sites, they waive parking and it ends up being cheaper

Dan Ortega

I would give this place a higher review, but my main issue is with the advertised price that does NOT include the $40 per day “resort fee” This resort fee includes “parking for one vehicle per night, coffee in the lobby and guest rooms (ie

k-cups), breakfast, in the Mansion, as well as other resort amenities”You cannot decline this fee – which is crazy since I didn’t have a car to park, didn’t use the pool, and the breakfast in the mansion was not much better than a typical chain hotel breakfast like at a Best Western, Comfort Inn, etcLook close at the price details before booking

This place is fantastic If you have little kids, this is the place to go It sits right next to the beach and a playground

The staff was extremely polite, great house keeping service and a lot of amenities Bottled water at the front desk, parking (have to pay for) is easy to access, free shuttle within 5 miles of town, the rooms were clean and did not seem out of date to me We had a third floor shoreline view and the room had vaulted ceilings and a wonderful view of the beach and playground The non kitchen rooms have a safe, fridge and small coffee maker and the kitchenette rooms have a little range, sink, small set of plates and paper towels on top of the fridge and coffee maker For being full, I never felt the hotel was busy and crowded The architecture and design is fun! The restaurant on site is okay, fine for a quick bite on the patio Lots of restaurants within less than a block of walking even with a 2 yr old We will be back

Madison Morgan

Book this hotel We stayed here the past weekend and it was so lovely We had an amazing time at the pool as it didn’t feel crowded even though they were fully booked for the weekend

They offer chairs and umbrellas for the beach which they set up for you The rooms were very clean and the staff was wonderful This hotel is walking distance to shops and restaurants and they offer a shuttle if you want to go more into town! Can’t wait to go back next summer!

Grant Bachman

My goodness, this was THEEE best place to stay, so much within walking distance, sitting on the beach, enjoying the wonderful views and staffWe are already booked to return this next summerReviews said room was outdated, I disagree, was very pleased with the room condition

Also loved the decor throughout the hotel

Grace Tyminski

Stayed here last weekend (& during the padres v dodgers game)The hotel is lovely – there are many restaurant options which are all good The pool is lovely too but does get very busy

Reasons for 3 stars:1 The gluten free pizza was served to us twice at Provisional brunch and it was still raw both times2 There was a pool party on Sunday which was super pretentious and cheap Unfortunately that ruined the pool vibe for us3 The steam room is unavailable to hotel guests unless you have a treatment booked If you want to use it without a treatment, there is a steep charge!4 Despite having an amazing room, there weren’t any perks5 The vibe and crowd at Oxford Social was also weird and felt like a strip clubOverall we did have a lovely time but worth noting the aboveLocation: If you are going to a Petco park game then this hotel is excellently located If you are not and there is a game on – then it can be overwhelming

DC Guy

So glad I booked this hotel! First and foremost, the best part of staying here are the people Everyone is so friendly, helpful and professional Justin the concierge was especially excellent

He guided me to the best parts of town, helped me get a rental car, book restaurants, and find the best beaches Very friendly and incredibly effective Douglas the concierge was also wonderful to work withThe rooms are well appointed with soft sheets, great coffee, and a firm mattress, which was the best part Make sure to ask for a Bay-Facing room Hotel is well appointed, some great design details Food at all their restaurants was excellent and service (except for one morning breakfast) was outstandingI would say this is a very nice hotel, but not a luxury hotel Partly because of its location in the gas lamp district which is pretty run down/decaying these days and party because parts of the hotel need some updatingThe pool area is in need of new furniture and a remodel of the pool and jacuzzi I was disappointed to see the pool area selling areas for non-guests to sit and lounge for a fee There was a group of tweens and teenagers when i first arrived who were loud and acting inappropriately for a place like of this caliberupon asking, I was told they purchased a lounge area for the day and were not staying at the hotel Only guests should be allowed to use the pool area, in my opinionI would also suggest more sophisticated music in the pool area, something upbeat but not “club” orientedthanks again

Richard Jaffe

Friendly staff Clean Great location in gas lamp district

Lots of restaurants Close to Petco stadium Special shout out to Christian at front door who exhibited outstanding kindness welcomed advice and communicated extraordinary respect He definitely exudes a wonderful face for the hotel Made me feel like I was the only guest here

Templet

Beautiful lobby, great theme, and presumably very fun parties Unfortunately the rooms (at least the one we stayed in) are at most adequate Scant hot water in the showers, no soundproofing (which is especially bad when the rooms overlook common spaces and there are parties held), and when we arrived the toilet was clogged

The staff were immensely nice, but we also had to ask three times to get someone to come in with a plunger Overall, it was a cheap enough option and it wasn’t unsafe at all but it also wasn’t an ideal room to stay in

Katie Spencer

Unfortunately the other reviews claiming the rooms do not match what is portrayed on their website is accurate (at least for our short stay) the hotel lobby and pool area are very cute and the staff is incredible but once you leave the retro lobby it starts to go downhill quick The hallways have stains on their walls and carpet The two rooms we saw were decorated with beige stained walls, stained and smelly brown carpet and old sticky furniture

the walls are paper thin, the bathrooms hadn’t been cleaned and the rooms themselves had never been dusted The frustration is the price point of this hotel is way too high for the quality of the rooms My guess is the rooms by the pools are nicer The hotel was very helpful and nice enough to confirm a full refund for our three night stay The two stars is solely based on how nice the staff is and communication was seamless

Beth B

Definitely a BIG NO The rooms are dirty and in need of a great deal of maintenance Walls are dirty, shower as well

The drapes on the window were ripped The art on the wall, frames were damaged The towels need to be gathered up and thrown away The mattress was old and wore out I made the mistake of walking barefoot in the room once, the bottom of my feet were completely black I tried to use the pool, the tiles were slimy Apparently they charge $20 a day for the public to use the pool So at any given time there are a ton of loud people and kids in the pool Definitely not as described when you book it I would have rather spent more money to have an enjoyable stay anywhere else I made the mistake of booking this place based on the description and should have done my homework and read the reviews

Well-maintained Public spaces clean and inviting Breakfast typical for this sort of place

Staff courteous Our room, basically a 1-bedroom apartment, was in decent shape and reasonable sizeUnfortunately this property has completely bought into Marriott’s attempt to eliminate room cleanings during guests’ stays We checked in for 12 nights and were asked, verbatim, “you don’t want any room cleanings, do you?” For 12 nights, well, yes Eventually they offered light cleanings every 2-3 days and a full cleaning after 6 *None* of these cleanings occurred except when we called the desk and asked “hey, what about the cleaning?” Eventually we gave up, got fresh towels from the carts, and left our trash in the hallThis is a decent place for a 1-2 night stay, but I can’t recommend it for anything longer, since the hotel is actively trying to avoid cleaning its rooms during long visits

Andrew Berks

Room was dated The general appearance was dated A bigger issue was the lighting was harsh (5000K lights not warm) and poor – the bathroom didn’t have a good light

Phone system was broken so I had to go the front desk to resolve an issue My room had a mini-kitchen I didn’t know about that in advance but I find it hard to believe it is that helpful The nearest supermarket isn’t that close Gym was very small, but the pool was nice and warm

The staff was friendly and the room was clean I know people comment about the charm of this property, but I honestly got American Horror Story vibes This property was also surrounded by homeless people and trash all over the sidewalks along with armed security walking around (dont believe they were affiliated with Marriott)

I attempted to get some food since the hotel had zero options open and felt completely unsafe Valet was over $54 dollars a night Although, the room was clean, I definitely would not recommend this property based on my experience I paid almost $350 a night

Elena Schäfer

ok, the only good thing about this hotel is that it is in the downtown area and you are only a few seconds away from the gaslamp district Valet parking $50 per day There are also parking options around, but nothing under $50

The rooms were clean However generally too overpriced for this 3 star hotel The foyer and building itself is nice, but that’s about it $219 was a night plus about $70 taxes on top of that So almost $300 a day, absolutely not worth it

M. Ryan Nolen

The location of this hotel is quiet a distance from most venues ie the San Diego convention center There are plenty of restaurants around the area, however, parking may be a challenge especially, on days like comic conOnce you get inside, Wow!! As soon as you come through the door this Courtyard Marriott is a showstopper

Literally the attention to detail of the restoration of the common areas is amazing The bar was larger than expected, however it was dead The biggest disappointment was the moment you step foot in the elevator The restoration work definitely went down hill The presidential wasnt very presidential Other than the balcony and large space, It didn’t feel special

Very nice place to stay The suite was perfect for our stay The beds were comfortable and the lighting in the room was perfect

I was able to get ready properly The breakfast had a good amount of selection and the staff was kind They always asked if we needed anything regardless of where we were in the hotel The location is perfect walking distance to little Italy and looking out into the bay

JayBird Segal

Stayed 2 nights, great location Front Desk agent who checked us in was great Room was great until we needed to shower

Water kept cutting off and when we called down they wanted to send maintenance however the shower started again When we checked out we mentioned the water issue and were told it’s been a problem and maintenance is aware Last time I checked if the whole building has a water issue a plumber should be involved, not hotel maintenance The other issue was the breakfast was a disaster No food, no coffee and dirty dishes piled up Such a nice location but such a shame to start our family Vacation this way

Danica Berard

This hotel is very beautiful There is a great common area and the pool is nice The location is great, only a 5 to 10-minute drive from most attractions

Also lots of great dining within blocks from the hotel With that said, this hotel attracts the worst clientele There were many large families and friend groups that I’m sure were screaming more than 6 per room The hotel does not have good soundproofing A family was yelling in the hall at 3 am and kept us up for an hour There was supposed to be free coffee but they eventually took it completely away because people were stealing everything Similar situation at breakfast The breakfast was very inconsistent Some days it was pretty good, others it was terrible There is a Hilton on the other side of the building that is not suites and does not include breakfast but many of those people were clearly sneaking in for free food The 30 something crowd was sloppy drunk all day every day and very tacky No social distancing or mask enforcements even though that was the law during our stay Also no security on the premise The pool was not heated even though the front desk kept saying it should be No supervision of kids and the hot tub was party city at night The staff were nice but lacked communication Good luck getting your room cleaned even if you ask I also didn’t get my wake-up call one morning so set your own alarm We used the pull-out couch and non of those sheets were clean and the pillows had bloodstains The rooms were overall clean The front desk overcharged us 20$ for 2 regular bottles of water Also, minorly inconvenient but the wifi kicks you off every time you leave and come back We stayed here 7 nights total 3 before and 4 after a cruise Before we left the 1st time were addressed the problems we had hoping they would be resolved a week later and maybe be somewhat compensated but we still faced the same problems and got nothing

My stay was amazing! It was quiet, breakfast was delicious! Every single staff from the front desk to the kitchen had amazing customer service I booked through Bookingcom however there was an issue with the dates where it didn’t show in the system correctly

The employees was able to cancel the reservation and book directly through the hotel itself resulting in a cheaper rate than booking!! Location is great if you have a car, food and shopping centers are about a mile away

Steph Pres

We have stayed here several times in the past and have always had a great experience Breakfast is always fresh and hot (this last stay the pancake machine was broken but we understand things happen) We would like to give a shout out to Rogelio R at the front desk

He went above and beyond to help us with a pizza delivery we had an issue with It had nothing to do with the hotel andhe could have easily looked the other way but he stepped up to help us and it was appreciated Front desk employees are always super nice and the room are always clean

Okay

The day I was there a water line broke that morning I arrived around 1:30pm and was told about the situation and was offered a full refund Or I could stay and the water would possibly be fixed later that evening Unfortunately another pipe broke and I stayed one night and left The hotel discounted my 1st night stay and refunded me the rest I understand that things happened and my 3 star rating is not a reflection of what happened or the staff The rating is for the room itself, the bed was very uncomfortable The staff was fabulous very friendly and very accommodating One more thing, the seafood restaurant next door has a parking lot right next to the hotel Signs are posted no overnight parking and restaurant parking only

This review is of the hotel only This was my second visit to this lovely hotel that is new, luxurious, and offers great service at the front desk the rooms are spacious, clean, and offer large balconies

The restaurant opens a bit late for breakfast at 8am and there’s no coffee in the lobby if you are an early riser The design is stunning, 5 story building and it offers a conference center and some other attractions that i didn’t have time for This place has some affiliations with the church or religious organization, so I’ve heard

Avery A

This place looked pretty new Had a modern vibe when walking into the lobby Nice seating areas, and even one on the second floor overlooking the lobby

There is a restaurant to the right, but it didn’t really look open It was really quiet though, like it needed some light music playing in the backgroundOur room was clean and suited our needs The bathroom counters were spacious, which I loved so I can spread out my things Bed was comfortable enoughSecurity guard was awesome He was friendly and very helpful Great asset to the hotel

Brandi P.E.

Since we were on a tour we didn’t get past the lobby or restaurant but from what we did see the hotel is beautiful Everyone we interacted with was very nice and welcoming as well The lobby is stunning and had plenty of seating

Prices for food and drinks are quite reasonable, especially for a hotel Not sure how rooms are but from what we saw the Legacy was very nice and in a great location as s well

Although nestled in a somewhat questionable downtown area, this property is beyond amazing The front desk staff, even during the busiest of hours, are always friendly and helpful They greeted us with a smile and recognized our rewards membership status

Even though 1 of the 2 rooms were not ready yet, they were still on top of communications, making sure to update us We were in SD celebrating my moms big birthday and they were kind of enough to upgrade her room She was ecstatic, the room was gorgeous and amazing view Everything was clean and comfortable We will definitely stay here again

Nice place to stay downtown The only bad thing, that it was downtown Not too romantic if you’re going for a romantic getaway

But will definitely try their other locations Great hospitality and caring staff! Room was decent but the bed headboard was dirty and stained Wish I would have had a good view, but again it’s downtown And FYI, the price for valet is worth every dime! Being in Customer Service, the entire staff gave 5-Star service!!!

We spent a night here during the holidays and we loved it Very well decorated and festive, yet in a modern and classy way The lobby is spacious with plenty of options for seating, and the elevators right next to the check-in desk

The rooms are updated and cozy, with low beds and comfy sheets Our bathroom was renovated and very nice too I liked having a balcony with a view of the pool and downtown area The desk / office space was nice too although the TV was small considering its distance from the bed The complimentary adult beverages at Happy Hour, and free coffee and tea in the morning, are a nice bonusserved in the swanky bar / restaurant adjacent to the lobby The location in the heart of downtown San Diego is great toovery easy to walk everywhere, but street parking is tough so be prepared to use valet overnight (which is very expensive) Overall, however, this is a high quality hotel with plenty of amenities

Beautiful hotel and resort The grounds are gorgeous and they do a lot of things well in terms of aesthetics I think food options and restaurant accommodations could be better and more diverse; however, there are lots of options in town

Stay in one of the renovated parts if possible for the best accommodations They don’t provide room service and also do not service rooms, but they do accommodate requests for room cleaning easily I feel for the cost, a quick room refresh should be standard though Beach access/amenities and pool ambiance/service were great

This hotel has two parts, the original historic building and the new part We stayed in both parts They did a great job preserving the historical part of the hotel

However the rooms in the old part are just too historical and old for my taste I even jokingly said they smelled historical because you literally needed to air the strange smell out The carpets and furnishing were all too old and worn out for me Old building I can only give it 35 stars After we moved to the Cabana View, it was day and night Everything was brighter and moderner and cleaner You definitely should book a room in the new building, preferably an ocean facing one while enjoying the historical common spaces in the old one The new building deserves 5 stars The grounds are nice and the service level is high compared to the one we stayed in Santa Barbara This hotel is super busy in the high season If you don’t like the crowd, try to avoid the busy season I am sure the experience would be a lot less hectic

Staff is amazing and down to earth if you allow them to be Otherwise they are just professional and follow through with their jobsThe rooms in the cabana are beautifully done

Very put together Well worth the pricingThe restaurants are delicious and pricey! But again delicious, the service was great Staff, fun and attentiveThe location is perfect Parking easy, view amazing The Hilton Hotel Del made our couple days here magical Thank you

I did not stay too much in this hotel but it was right in the heart of the gaslamp district All the employees were very friendly and welcoming The one thing I really liked about the hotel was the rooftop bar

If you’re a fan of old fashion, theirs was on point I was never a big fan of them until I tried it here The restaurant does get pretty crowded Valet is $50 and it’s about the same for self parking I did self parking the first night for $25 thinking it would be cheaper but the parking garage charged me another $25 for a new day at 6am

Alexandra Klimek

The hotel is nice but very cramped My room was very small, view was 360 degrees of concrete building walls There were no common areas to sit and enjoy the beautiful weather other than the rooftop bar

I did try to visit but it was quite loudThere are a lot of displaced people living in this area of San Diego and if you go 1-2 blocks in any direction of the hotel you will notice this I was staying alone and did not feel very safe parking offsite but valet was $54/dayIt was a good location as far as being close to things but I did not feel safe to wander about and couldn’t really hang out at the hotel except in my room

Melinda Lynch

Our little family had a great stay We felt welcomed by all the employees we encountered The front desk team were great to work with and took good care of selecting a room for us

The hotel was clean and as expected The location was very close to Petco Park, which is why we stayed there I will say that the Gaslamp Quarter is not the best location for a long stay with kids, as it is an area with a lot of bars/clubs/restaurants The hotel worked great for our family’s one night trip to the baseball game

Our family loved this hotel! The location was perfect for us – very safe and beautiful, Starbucks and good sushi just a few steps from the parking lot, lovely walking paths and two nice playgrounds, a basketball court at the hotel and incredibly kind staff We stayed Monday – Friday and loved every second We had a third floor, bay view one bedroom suite and it was perfect for our family of four

The views of the bay and the bridge were definitely worth the upgrade The pool was warm and never crowded and breakfast was decent We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

First impressions are important to me! The check in staff was absolutely fantastic! Making sure that your stay was going to be the best was their first priority! Brenda and Kelly were amazing! We go to San Diego twice a year but have not ever stayed at the Hilton Liberty Station! The location was perfect for us!Plenty of walking area, beautiful views, large patio area for family to gather and barbecue! Pool was perfect and hot tub was great! We will go back!

Location is great and right in the middle of the Gaslamp action Walkable to everywhere $55 parking bites, but Ace parking garage is right down the street and if you don’t do lots of in and out it’s pretty much $15 per night

That’s what we didHotel staff is friendly Breakfast was nothing special but had all the staples like fruit, coffee, oatmealPlace was clean Windows do not open which I didn’t like The view from the high floor was gorgeousHousekeeping is once every 7 days and we were issued only 1 small piece of soap and 3 bath towels I guess you can call front desk and they deliver more if asked so that’s fineThe bed was comfortable, the pull out sofa bed was not which is to be expectedThe placement of the TV was super awkward and inconvenientWe didn’t cook but the kitchen was stocked with all the necessities for thatAll in all we would definitely stay there again

I was fortunate enough to have the company I worked for put me up at this beautiful hotel for a business trip I was here for two days and enjoyed every minute of it First of all I love San Diego so this was a double plus for me

The staff here were unbeatable and went out of their way to make sure my stay was pleasant and to make sure I had everything I needed My room was very nice and the bed so comfortable I really enjoyed my stay and it didn’t feel like work, more like a mini vacation Thank you everyone there for all of your caring and hard work

Kobié Jacobs

First of all service here by the staff is tops Beyond professional they just really seem to care about your comfort and needs so are quick to respond to any requests or questions Hotel itself is very nice and clean

Rooms are comfortable Layout is easy to navigate Lobby decor is beautiful Just an overall elegant but comfy vibe Only reason for 4 stars is completely subjective I like a hotel with nice views My options seem to be a view overlooking the roof of the lobby and then the freeway or a shopping center There are restaurants, FedEx and other shops right off the second floor which is nice but the neighborhood isn’t very walkable Only other strike was that there was no mini fridge in the room which I thought was strange All minor issues in the end Room rate was surprisingly low compared to other options in the area for the quality I’ll definitely stay here again

regis kwong

Excellent hotel with great service Conveniently located in the mission Valley area surrounded with many great restaurants and shops The service is extraordinary and friendly

They were very accommodating on all our requests The rooms are clean and roomy The lobby has very good vibes buzzy with cool musics and people Facility is new with swimming pool and well equipped gymWith the hotel located right next to the major freeway, it’s easy to get to the hotel For people that are here on vacation, this is a great hotel stay in as it is very close to the beach, restaurants and all the attractions in San Diego without expensive costs associated with the bay and beach hotelsParking is $35 a night which is much cheaper than the other hotels

The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained I didn’t see anything that needed attention (cleaning, picking up trash, etc), for my 4-day stay All staff were helpful and pleasant, helpful, courteous

You have a team that makes people feel like they care about your customersLOCATION is fabulous! Everything you could want (except a mall) is within walking distance, and the area felt safe day and night (so important in these crazy 2022 times)

Elizabeth Ammann

Nice hotel No issues Great location, walking distance to plenty of places and the trolley stop

Loved the poolside music One complaint though is that the only curtain was a black out shade, and we were in a room that you could see right in from the pool Would have been nice to have a sheer curtain that would keep other people from seeing in, but still let light in the room

Gemini Nlove

Had a birthday/mothers day weekend here The hotel and room were gorgeous We got the corner Spa just for the deep soak jet tub! The location was central to so many wonderful food places and bars

We could see the petco stadium from our window Lots of things to explore yet you’re able to relax in the room too Would definitely go back

The 2 stars are for the 2 main benefits – free breakfast every morning (and it wasn’t too bad either) which saved a ton of money for a family of 4, and the large rooms (the beds were next to each other, but you can close a sliding door and sit on the couch to watch TV) and kitchenThat being said, I’m sure I can find this at another hotel and have a much more pleasant stay The downsides:- When I took a shower the first morning, water started leaking everywhere because the shower curtain wasn’t long enough and it was blowing back into me (gross!)

I tried my best to arrange it but it simply didn’t work and there was water every where I mentioned something to the staff because I didn’t want to ruin the floors, and received a simple “we know, it’s on order”very odd response and not even a “sorry”- The pillows were”crunchy” It was quite literally the worst hotel bed/pillow I have ever slept in I went to cover the kids and was confused, as they were using a MATRESS PROTECTOR as a sheet! Huh?!- The staff was the most unfriendly I have ever seen in the service industry No smiles No asking how our stay was They looked annoyed when I would approachOverall, there are SO many choices for hotels in this area that I wish I had known this before my stay (June 2022) After this we visited 2 more hotels during our trip which were both great, making this experience look even worse

Jennifer Knudson

As Diamond members we were on the first floor by the pool, so we were woken up by kids splashing around I asked for pillows and got them the next day We found ants in our room two days before leaving

There was a stain on the couch which made the entire room feel dirty I purchased Clorox wipes to wipe everything down, but you can’t wipe a cloth couch with spots on it, I wish I would’ve taken a picture because it was the size of two basketballs We were supposed to have our room cleaned after 4 days since we were staying 7 days and I confirmed with the front desk that it would happen Monday, but it didn’t The beds were very uncomfortable, and we ended up with 11 pillows and still didn’t sleep well The pillows should’ve all been replacedflat and lumpy We ate breakfast two days which was okay but after seeing dogs walking through the food area, I didn’t want to eat anything again from the kitchen The ~$3k we paid for having a kitchen, living room, and free breakfast was not worth it!!! We have stayed exclusively at Hiltons for the past 4 years and this was the worst experience We didn’t have to pay for parking after bringing up the ants which I have a picture of I felt dirty all week and preferred to not be at the hotel The one positive is the staff was friendly I can add pictures upon request

Bravo Adventures

First time staying at Homewood Suites in San Diego at hotel circle Furniture is very outdated Lots of cigarette buds outside

Landscaping needed some attention Thankfully their customer service was a great Very friendly staff Front desk was nice Housekeeping made deliveries in a timely manner Loved the recreation room which included a pool table and sitting area with a tv It’s a pet friendly hotel and that was awesome as we had our pet babies with us I enjoyed the gym early in the morning They have lots of treadmills Our room had a mini kitchen with 2 burners, average sized fridge, small sink, paper towels, tiny dish soap bottle, utensil, pots, pans, microwave, coffee pot, mini island counter, a separate room, a sofa bed, everything in this suite was very accommodating and useful Complimentary breakfast is always a plus Nearby shopping centers such as Target Also many restaurants very close by Easy access to the freeway Great location Pool was average size It was a bit to cold to swim but warm enough to read a book and tan by the pool You need your key to access certain doors on the property such as the pool, recreation room, entering the hotel from the parking garage or from the back of the hotel One thing I didn’t like is that there was one sliding door that opened and closed the restroom and the closet One sliding door for both the restroom and the closet As a result of this one door you only had access to either the restroom or the closet one at a time only not both If this sounds confusing that’s how we felt trying to access the closet or the restroom Parking garage is very small and is located beneath the hotel We became very familiar with the hotel rather quickly Hopefully this hotel is on Hilton’s list to upgrade because the location is a big plus
