Excellent place Staff and rooms were awesome The little bar in lobby has great service and a nice little place to sit and get out of the room

The only thing that keeps this from 5 stars is the Pool It is an excellent pool and very cleanhowever, they add straight hose water in the morning making the pool very cold in the morning Perhaps they could do that at night after the hot daythen is has a chance to equalize for the morning swimmers

This is a very nice looking hotel There’s plenty of space and our bathroom was huge It looks like they had a bar downstairs, plenty of lounging area, a pool, printing station, laundry, vending machine, ice machine and a gym

There’s free breakfast with nice choices They had fruit, yogurt, bread, muffins, waffle maker, bacon, eggs, coffee, tea, juices, milk, cereal and maybe more that I’m forgetting The only issue I had at all was that the bathroom door was very large and mostly glass Even though it was a rippled glass you could still see the general shape and colors of people while they’re undressing, dressing or even using the toilet lol I didn’t want my older kids seeing me through the glass

Absolutely loved this facility I am mobility challenged The bathroom was, hands down, the best one ever

The personnel are kind, helpful, and resourceful I had my dog with me and the personnel were loving and adorning towards her It made life so much easier I didn’t feel like I had to worry about anything during my stay And the breakfast options were super I wish I could have written down names to recognize the personnel’s accomplishments Suffice it to say- I had a great experience

Nice modern hotel The king suite was very comfortable The staff was very helpful as well

They were able to accommodate our request for a late checkout Not a lot of dining options around besides fast food We did end up getting a really good pizza delivered from Mountain Mike’s Pizza though We were able to get in a morning swim before checkout The pool area was nice too

We stayed a few days ago We’ve previously stayed at a different hotel every time we visit I saw that this one had a kitchenette in their rooms and they SEEMED nicer and bigger online, which is perfect for my family and I

The lobby looks nice but once we went up the elevator and into the hallway, I was pretty disappointed The doors to the rooms looked filthy! Inside the room, we had three bath towels for a large suite which is supposed to fit 5 people One of the towels was dirty, and the other two smelled bad There were crumbs/dirt in the closet floor, the bathtub was old and not well maintained (unlike what I signed up for as shown in the pictures), not to mention that there were two hairs in it We booked two nights so I expected the room to be cleaned when we returned for the second night Well, it was not! So I called the lobby and they put me on hold for several minutes I went downstairs to find the gentleman at the lobby hanging out with a friend I told him that we didn’t get the room cleaned or fresh new towels and he didn’t address the room cleaning, but did hand me some towels Big disappointment!!

Awesome Marriot! Room was absolutely perfect Dishwasher, full sized refrigerator, range top, and microwave Bathroom was clean and spotless

2 TVs present in room, one in the living room area and the other TV in the bedroom Cold well working AC Upgraded me to a suite based upon my Platnium status Easy to find location, right off of the 99 Plenty of deliverable Door Dash restaurant locations within the vicinity Dutch Bros coffee down the street Sweet and pleasant stay,

Excellent place to stay, very clean inside and out (as it should be) beds very comfortable, no unpleasant smells, actually room smelled nice, parking lot with enough space to park our truck, pool was clean and nice, ( not to mention people leaves trash because some individuals are not polite to pick it up) but it was nice to swim around 😀, the bathroom in the room was in excellent condition, with big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash to take a shower, I’ll keep staying in this hotel in the future for sure I RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO EVERYONE ENJOY YOUR STAY

I booked two nights here for $450 because Holiday Inn is usually pretty nice and the options in Chowchilla aren’t great I pulled out the hide a bed and there were bugs and crumbs I didn’t even pull it all the way out and could clearly see they were bed bugs

I understand things like this happen so I packed up all our stuff and let the front desk know(politely) We were in the room maybe an hour The girl at the desk was nice and said she would let her manager know and kept apologizing I called today and spoke with the manager,Kayla, who told me she personally checked the room and there were no bedbugs and my pictures were too blurry They will not refund me Not even one night She said there is nobody above her except corporate and they won’t speak to customers I am so upset and disappointed in the lack of customer service I’m not seeking a freebie I wasn’t even offered a different room My kids and I literally slept on the floor of our empty house because I didn’t want to get bedbugs in our stuff I understand that they don’t care about me or my business but as a single mom $450 is a lot of money in these times I will be contacting corporate, BBB, and the health department as well If you do decide to stay here make sure you video tape everything because my pictures weren’t good enough

Kevin Cumiskey

Check in was fantastic Front desk made the stay great Would of been more stars if not for some setbacks

Bathroom door was shut when we arrived in room-upon opening-smell of death 💀💀 came out Rotten pipes possibly Could hear water leak inside walls when other shower was running Damage to bathroom was extensive No water pressure And to boot random bugs would appear in the bathroom Room otherwise was clean Rate was a little out of whack for area but it was Easter weekend

Narrow and uncomfortable rooms Difficult to walk around room with 2-3 people Shower with below average water pressure

Impossible to have a cool shower because you have to turn water to hot in order to get the meager pressure that it producesIce machine only on bottom floor Water dispenser empty, not refilled Elevator is hot, hot, hot!Below par breakfast, skip and go buy a decent mealI will not stay again

chris ferguson

I usually don’t complain since the price is under 100$ per night with breakfast but the first day the elevator stopped working / stuck while we were in it ( staff knew about it ) and the keys didn’t work to our room twice

had to go up / down 3 floors each time there was a problem also if you don’t have them clean your room and need new towels, you have to deliver them to the laundry basket downstairs and exchange them with verification of each towelAnd today breakfast closed at 9 am not 9:30 as posted and front staff was in disbelief as well New name is Below Quality Inn !!

Very nice hotel for a Holiday Inn express Room was clean and smelled good Hotel has a beautiful lobby and office space

Breakfast was available, at opening the orange juice was empty, apple juice ran out and they at less than one bowl of oatmeal The person whom was making breakfast set up said they were out of everything, but looked as if he was just running late Check in was a littleslow but I think the young lady was new and being trained I would recommend staying here if in town Madera does not have many nice hotels but this one was an exception ( now if they could just get the Breakfast worked out)

This was such a fun experience staying here – this was our second time Super good location, good service, the design of the hotel & attention to detail was amazing It’s quaint and feels like a boutique hotel, but it’s not small – felt like a true retreat in the middle of Merced

The courtyard and lobby areas, the multi-use rooms, the gym, the food options I just loved it Highly recommend I want to say thank you for the art gallery style walls throughout each floor That in itself was a really great experience because they have art from some local artists

Ethan Uong

Staff were all very friendly and accommodating They gave me and my emotional support dog bags of gifts that I really appreciated The room(s) is very clean and stylish

Location is convenient and feels safe As someone who has stayed with the Hyatt hotel over 70+ nights in the past two years, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Aaron Pix

It is a must stay! From the moment you lay eyes on the outside of the building, to the lobby and then there is the room! Wow! I love the old building revival here The modern style is just perfect for this place The room is clean, the bed firm but comfortable

You can hear the occasional train and some city noise Nothing bothersome to me Just worth noting I would definitely stay here again Kinda sad to leave

I stayed at Rodeway Inn for the third time the other day and had another good experience The rooms are clean and the motel is quiet I could hear people upstairs walking but it didn’t bother me

No trouble with wifi or TV and stations are good Every time I have stayed I only had a shower, no tub But the water is hot and people left me alone I’ll stay again

Lizbeth Gamez

The beds were comfortable, and the room itself felt and looked clean The person at the front desk was also accommodating and kindThe bathroom though was my main gripe

On a hot California afternoon, the sun-facing window made the whole bathroom blazing hot and there’s no ventilation The window doesn’t open and has no curtains The shower also has a calcified showerhead and anyone over 6ft tall would have a hard time showering, especially with the low water pressure The temperature of the water would also fluctuate alotOther than that, the area is so-so Like any other hotel or inn, if you’re unlucky, you’ll get a rowdy neighbor next to or above you, but that’s no fault to the ownersIt’s a fine option for a one night stay if you’re just passing through

Bhagirath Raval

We come stay at this property couple of times a year, usually when we are going on 99 twice a year to visit family and friend so this place is half way point Hotel is clean and they always give me downstairs room as it’s hard for me to climb upstairs We will be staying at rodeway inn merced again in November

Thank you rodeway inn merced

Overall a good place to stayPros: The room was perfectly clean Good value for the price

Shower was decent Pretty pictures on the walls, and the crown molding around the ceiling was fancier than the rest of the room!Cons: It’s near the railroad tracks and freeway so the outside sounds are a little loud, and the climate control unit in the room was noisy The bed was a little dished out in the middle but not horrible

The lady at the front desk was very kind I was so excited about my stay with my kids as we NEVER take trips or stay away from home often The breakfast in the morning was fantastic

A whole spread to choose from At first glance, the hotel is beautiful and clean Now, to the bad I called when booking to make sure the hot tub was working and able to be used I was assured it was I also called the day before to make sure This hotel was over $80 more expensive than the equivalent hotel without, but I had decided to make a fun event with the kids and we took our bathing suits and planned on spending the evening soaking in the hot tub Hot tub didn’t work With the amount of dirt and debris on the floor, it seemed like it hadn’t been on in a while I would have booked elsewhere for this alone No maintenance was available The front desk ladies weren’t able to get it turned on We went back up to our room My 10 year old daughter dropped her phone When she reached down to grab it, it was laying on a thong A crusty, nasty thong from a previous guest Went to take a shower and looked over into toilet Black Mold/algae I spent almost $200 on this room I should’ve went with the $70 room down the street

I am going to write a long-ish review because my experience here has been amazing I have stayed at this location 3 times now, and each time I am given high-quality, kind, and considerate service along with nicely renovated and well-kept rooms The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable, the room size is great, having a mini fridge is super clutch, and the bathrooms are always super clean

If you are traveling to Merced and want to have a nice room, close to everything in town, with great amenities this is your place My partner lives in this area, and knowing that I have a comfortable place to stay while visiting her is something that relieves the stress of traveling I will 100% stay at this location each time I go to visit Merced Keep up the amazing work, you are all doing great here!

Hmoob Lis, California

Checking in was easy and smooth with the front desk staff The room was clean and had everything it said it would The bed

oOoo man That bed was so comfortableI kind of wanted one for myselfThe breakfast is excellent as they had turkey sausage patties!!!! I’m allergic to pork, so I was super excited when I saw that The staff member at breakfast was nice too as she greeted the wife and I

This is my go to when I go to Merced Property very clean along with the entire room The smell when I walked into room 136 was amazing

Smelt of bleach and cleanliness 😊 Being a business owner of a housekeeping business this is a must when I stay away from home The only con I had was the bed was very firm Other then that it was a amazing place to spend my weekend especially for the price 😁 Will return when I’m in Merced again The customer service was on point as well

Karen

We arrived after 11pm and they did not have overnight service, therefore, a family member had to pick up the keys Also, once we arrived there was no parking to be found I know this Travelodge is older but there is a difference between old and filthy

As you can see from the pictures, the floors were not cleaned and there was hair and dirt from previous guestsThe cabinets and walls were also stained/dirty After driving for 10 hours, this is not what I expected Unfortunately, I was disappointed especially for paying almost $500 for two nights

Michael Reber

I reserved a room with a king bed but given a room with 2 doubles Manager was rude Told me to only sleep in one bed and I could not have visitors

I told him I was not a smoker and I was in town on business by my self but he kept repeating that I could not smoke or have people in my room The heater in the room did not work very well I stayed three nights and there was no room service I would not stay here again

I stayed here with about a month ago and I think it is a decent place I had no expectations and was glad that the price was not high The stay was comfortable and quick

There was breakfast as they detailed There are great and friendly staff there Despite a few insects I saw in the restroom, I felt safe and okay staying here for a weekend It was a money-saving stay and nothing extensive to notify future guests about I would return under the conditions that I again wanted to save money and know that I will not utilize many feature/functions My stay with family here for the weekend was to merely have a place to return to after my commencement A plus is the variety of food options nearby and in close proximity from convenience food to restaurant next door to fast food places across the street It was a good experience and a decent stay

penguin squad

We were told to check out as they had accepted a reservation for the room we were staying in We weren’t ready to check out and weren’t even notified in advance How inconsiderate of a business that meant to be lodging to put families in that situation

I told them I don’t have transportation to relocate They said I could have 2 extra hours yet once 11 am came they constantly knocked on the door Basically they absolutely did not care about customers health, safety or well being or personal property It really seems like certain motels are purposely playing games like this forcing people to leave behind their property They should at the least store your belongings till you can pick them up if they decide to rent out the room your renting Very unprofessional Your renting a space to live in and store your belongings temporarily but there is supposed be a sense of security that your belongings are secure Instead your told you have 2 hours to relocate with no transportation and you and your kids get to go through your stuff deciding what you can carry and what your gonna have to throw away Then your sent walking on 100° day walking with your bags

Nicole E

The rooms are decent if you get one of their nice ones Though they have rooms that are for Internet reservations only so they match the pictures They reserved our room off to someone else while we were renting it which is unprofessional of a lodging service provider

I told them I wasn’t able to relocate with no notice and no transportation They did say I could have 2 extra hours to pack up then proceeded to knock on the door at the regular time anyway They should of offered transportation or to store guests property in that kind of situation

Lovely clean room, location is close to the freeway and train tracks so it can be a little noisy for light sleepers Really nice staff and also offers breakfast My main issue is that I was looking for a hotel with a heated pool

I called them around 11:30am and verified with a guy over the phone I then booked my room a couple of minutes later for 2 nights When I arrived and got settled in, I went down to the pool and was told it wasn’t heated This hotel was a little more expensive than another one I usually stay at but I didn’t mind because of the pool so I was really upset I ended up checking out early Other than that, I did have a good nights sleep

Laura Richter

The sheets were so soft The room was enormous Very quiet

Slept very wellHad to get off the freeway, cut thru town and get back on the freeway in the opposite direction to get to the required exit So that was weird but it was immediately visible from the freeway which was excellent and reassuring after the oddball directions to get there
