My first stay here I was pleased with the experience Friendly staff

Parking is easily available I like the hotel design It appears small until I saw the interior and central green area with a pool, tables, BBQ, etc The hotel is circular with room windows overlooking the central green area The room windows have a view central green area with a pool, tables, BBQ; instead of the parking lot or freeway Breakfast choices were good I’ll be back

It’s a basic Hotel nothing fancy Always clean and has some great amenities such as a gym a beautiful pool and breakfast in the morning But it’s not a high-end place or anything it’s just clean comfortable and gives you the basics of what you need to stay overnight out of town

The people at the front desk were very nice and so were all of the guests that I met while I was there so I had a fun time

One of my “go to” choices when traveling in this area I get preferred rates, a spacious room with a comfortable bed each time There are a couple of caveats : the kitchen was not fully stocked this time (no jug in the coffee maker, toaster needed cleaning, trash bags tissue-paper thin), but these are often quickly corrected

Great location, with shopping and decent restaurants nearby

Autonomy

The rooms are good in size and well furnished And are ideal, especially if you’re going to be staying for a week or moreThe suite in which I stayed was sort of close to the road and could get quite loud at all hours due to traffic on the roads

The air conditioning is a joke! Outright deal-breaker unfortunately! Lowest temperature is 66 degrees, and there is no functionality for the fan to stay on constantly throughout the night to try to drowned out the noise from the traffic outside! A little white noise would definitely help out I mentioned this to a staff member when I was purchasing something from their “snack bar,” but they offered no solution and simply said there’s nothing they could do about it, which I understand that they are not in the position to do soI will not be staying at this particular location again!

Overall, a nice place to stay Staff are friendly, but our ice maker didn’t work in the refrigerator We called to report it and were told maintenance would be up later that day

but they never showed over the course of the 3-day stay Another quirk was that the dresser drawers would not stay shut Once closed, they slowly slide back open I bumped my thigh a couple times on an open drawer in the middle of the night when getting up out of bed

Great location Beautiful setting Staff is SO nice that it’s almost impossible to say enough about how great they are!Only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the fixtures and furnishings are looking a bit down at the heels and that’s not quite appropriate

Time for a bit of a refreshMy bathroom shower was giant and fancy but I couldn’t get the water quite hit enough no matter how much I fiddled with that Grohe temp setting

Juliana Schroeder

I had a truly horrific experience The room cost more than $800 and there was just one issue after another The worst was that there was a 3 hour wait to get a crib, which was set up so that it folded halfway through the night and almost killed my baby

I was calling customer service for hours and when they finally answered they said “oh sorry, we were busy” Busy at midnight? That’s a ridiculous lie, they just didn’t have any manning the desk Later on, the woman at the front desk had no idea about any of the events going on My husband left his phone at the pool and then they refused to let him get it back after the pool area closed He literally didn’t have a phone all night long until I went in and negotiated with them in the morning Then housekeeping came by at 7 am and knocked loudly on the door for like 5 minutes The wake up call we definitely didn’t need I can say without a doubt that this was one of the worst hotels I’ve been to in my life

Kerry Wilson

We really enjoyed our escape to the gorgeous Claremont The building has been beautifully updated with modern decor and features, yet it maintains historic elements and charm The hotel’s location on the edge of Berkeley allows for a quiet getaway, yet it’s a short, safe walk from the shops and restaurants of College Avenue

Highly recommend upgrading to a room with a view of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge

PROS:+ Hotel & room look fresh and newly renovated+ Staff was overall friendly and helpful+ Mina (I think that was his name) at the Front Desk was wonderful at asking how the stay was He was professional, classy, and approachable I was amazed how unafraid he was to ask how the stay was 1-10

Hotel workers need to ask this more often! He deserves a raise :)CONS:- Corner suite can be a bit noisy from the Bart, didn’t bother me but can bother light sleepers- Location isn’t exactly walking distance from any restaurants, bars, or groceries- Must pay for parking

Tiara Littleton

Thank you, Mina, for the outstanding customer service from the time I arrived to the time I checked out The hotel was spotless, parking is a little unnecessarily priced, but there is street parking, the continental breakfast was on par, especially for an athlete like myself I like the various options they have available! I definitely look forward to staying here every time I come to the Bay

Tim Riener

This place is just on the outskirts of downtown Walnut Creek But it is also very close to BART All of which means it’s a good place to stay and easy to get to

As Marriotts go it’s about par for the course in terms of cost and quality The parking situation is a little bit dicey, and may have to rely on valet parking Still, on the whole would call this place a good value for the money

1011 TRUCKING

Stayed here because they had semi truck parking Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised at how updated the rooms were Super nice, very comfortable and there is even a courtyard with a covered gazebo to relax in by a working fountain

The staff was super friendly and very helpful Will definitely stay here again whenever we’re in the area!Erika & Greg Permenter1011 Trucking, LLC

The rooms are clean and the decor is modern yet comfy The beds and pillows were very nice, and No bed bugs (I always check!) My only complaint is the noise Guests fighting (including 2 cop cars there for 3 hours at 2am,) guest working on vehicles until after 1am, and housekeeping carts and a bunch of little children making noise/yelling up and down the sidewalk outside our room at 6am

$14000 per night was a bit high due to the lack of sleep, because isn’t that the purpose of a motelto sleep??

The WC Marriott is a professional, clean, modern, and respectful establishment Other than the expenses for parking and breakfast, which are slightly annoying, this remains a hotel that goes above and beyond to care for their guestsI appreciate their attention to detail and helpful front desk attitude

Great, useful, cost-saving, and technologically advanced App, too!

Garrett Tisdale

When I checked in the front desk gave me a key to a room that was already occupied I walked right into the room of someone who had checked in just a couple hours prior The individual in the room was quite upset and I was surprised to say the least

After checking into the correct room I listened to a dog that was a few rooms down bark for a couple hours continuously Every evening when I got back to the room for 4 nights straight I could hear the same dog barking for an hour or two You must use valet parking which isn’t a big issue at all except for my spare tire that was missing one morning Not sure if the valet staff was involved in taking it or if someone snuck in their parking garage and stole it I heard from multiple other guests that it is common in the area for individuals to have their spare tires stolen when valet parked People never notice the tire missing until they need it I just happened to notice that mine was missing while opening the trunk of my vehicle Make sure you check everyday to see if it has been stolen if you stay here The location is nice but overall I would NOT recommend this hotel

D W

Nice people, The bartender guy was high end, nice guy! limited food options if your staying for more than a day, they serve mostly the same breakfast/dinner options and only a jack in the box in walking distance Room was clean and comfortable, but the lighting was dim, no overhead light Complimentary miniatures where basic

We have noticed there are huge policy differences between Marriott propertiesThis property is surrounded by multiple high end car lots but little else

Sure wish I read the reviews before bookingSo, first off – it’s not all bad; here’s the highlights -Room is clean-You can get it as cold as you want-Good shower and water pressure

-Bed and pillows are comfortableBut, you should consider the following:-Other than a room, there are no amenities I mean even the lobby market place left allot to be desired-one, very small trash can in the whole room Seriously??-upon check-in, I had no soap or shampoo Now, to their credit, they brought some up after I mentioned it, but seriously?, this is a Hilton for Pete’s sake!-As a business traveler, I’d like some amenities at the end of 13-14 hours of meetings and whatnot Luckily there are restaurants nearby, but come-on Hilton…you’re leaving money on the tableSo this will be a one and done for me I’m sure management will respond with the same message we see on the other reviews; a canned statement, “we’re sorry we didn’t meet your expectations…blah, blah, blah” Talk is cheap, but your hotel isn’t and my money will be better spent elsewhere

natalie baruch

The rooms are extremely dated and just feel dirty AC is very loud Bathroom is small and feels like a locker room

Trying to take a shower was very unpleasant The water pressure is too high and the drain too slow, so water immediately begins pooling The shower is small and water will splash all over the bathroom unless the shower head is directed towards the shower wall The complimentary toiletries are horrible quality and a tiny size, although I’m not sure if the hotel has any control over that? The lighting in the room is bad and the window in my room was small, don’t plan to do any work in here if that’s an issue for you I didn’t get any info about the restaurant when I checked in and they have no information anywhere online Couldn’t sleep due to loud neighbors on my second night, yelling and slamming their door Breakfast menu is too limited and overpriced The good: the four large pillows were lovely and the gym has everything I needed

Jennifer Green

Not up to Hilton standard! Two of the lights were out in our room We had one set of towels and one of the towels smelled Horribly! I spilled coffee on my sheets and I asked for them to be changed Whomever picked up at the house cleaning phone said they can’t change them because I checked in the day before

Seriously? After complaining a bit to front desk they agreed to change the sheets Need more towels, soap or TP? You have to come and get at front deskA positive is that the pillows are very comfortable and the arrival was smooth and fast The location is great as you are across the street from shops and diningOverall i feel this Hilton is tired and need some updating and better trained staff

We were going to stay only one night, but this place is so nice we extended our stay to three nights It’s very close to Napa Valley and SF so it’s a great place to stay and day trip to the local attractions The price for the room was inexpensive for what you get

Cheaper still if you are a rewards member, which is free and easy to sign up for when you make your reservation We loved our two queen suite with a well stocked kitchen and comfy living room Lovely beds and pillows There were two TVs in our room One in the bedroom and one in the living room We were able to use our FireTV Stick so we binge watched Better Call Saul 😆The hotel offers a happy hour each day with free food and drinks We enjoyed the chili dogs and beer The breakfast buffet offers lots of choices The make our own waffles are always a hit The hotel is beautiful, clean and feels like home and is located in a lovely area with a natural pond behind it We would love to stay here again

brian thompson jr

So the only reason I couldn’t give this place 5 stars was because of the room It’s a beautiful place, staff was really nice and acknowledged us everytime we walked by We loved the free breakfast every morning! That was really helpful with the kids being able to pick what they wanted

And the indoor pool was perfect after a long day of exploring! But the rooms were kind of outdated The worst part about the room was the carpets They were sticky You had to keep your shoes on the whole time and could hear your shoes peeling off the carpet with every step That’s really my only complaint other than the first night the people above us sounded like they did gymnastics all night long! We never complained cause it was good enough for the short time we spent in the room I’d still recommend this place to everyone and most likely will be back, just hope they shampoo those carpets before then!

Friendly room service and breakfast teamNice breakfast selection, good pool and basketball courtThe front desk was not professional at all, we stayed there 2 weeks, didn’t get a nice room, didn’t get an upgrade promised, didn’t get a room changed that was promised

they never checked the pool area which got out of control 3 times during out stay

JJ

Rooms stink, bad Staff will not accommodate you when you request to move because, “smell isn’t a good reason for a move or refund We’ll spray it

” Internet is horrible, only works half the time, neighbors pound on your door, whole having a domestic incident, and staff does not care I spend 11 months a year on the road, never staying at a Hyatt again

Matthias Silver

First off

when you pull in, there are no signs to direct you to the front desk, so if you pull in after the doors are locked it is hard to find it Second, when I asked the security guard in the parking lot where the office was he responded “No” That’s all, just no then finally, I find the front desk and ask about a room, to which I got no response, just a glaze-eyed stare from the seemingly stoned desk clerk if you have to ask no, I will not return

Management is great and the rooms are typical My breakfast experience was enough for me to check out early and go somewhere else I had stayed at this location many many nights with no issues but the staff pointed me out specifically for not having a mask on with 4 other guests in the area without their mask so just be far with everyone across the board

Nick Havens

The woman at the front desk, Jasmin, has been awesome She has helped me with even some of my strange requestsThe hotel has an interesting layout that’s unlike most hotels I’ve been to

There’s an upper enclosed patio surrounded by rooms and it’s a pleasant area to get away from your room The woman preparing breakfast is very friendly every morning and everything stayed well-stocked for my entire 2-week stay

This homewood suites is very clean and comfortable The staff is friendly and go out of their way if you need anything The pool area has lots of seating and even barbecues

The pool is small but still really nice The rooms are spacious and have full size refrigerator and microwave which is nice for long stays I recommend this place and would stay here again

Lena Sinclair

I have stayed here twice because they allow me to bring my German shepherd dog The rooms are spacious and have a small kitchenette- stovetop burners, full fridge w/ice maker, dishwasherBreakfast is decent (warming dish style)

Location is a few minutes from the freeway in a nice area where you see wild turkey roamingPet rooms do have a slight smell- it is the nature of bringing a pet along I suppose But not terrible Overall rooms are clean

Breakfast was the WORST! The kitchen staff was rude and the food horrific Boxes to take food to go – are reserved for other employees who load up with breakfast and lunch for the day When a customer asks for a box they say they are out- peak inside the open kitchen door and there are stacks

The food is greasy, fresh fruit- is intermittently put out – if you demand it – only then to they magically find it and bring it out- Advertising breakfast included is a real stretch!

the maids could do a better job for sure that’s the only complaint I have with this place other than that I really like it it’s got a little I mean the rooms are huge it’s got a nice kitchenette and the bathrooms like really around the corner and s it’s really big roomBe great if you have kids I would imagine because they have room to run around a little bit and they have a front patio but you can’t do much on it

They have a nice pool too But my main thing is the maid service if it’s clean when I go into the room and a lot of the Motel 6 is lack that other than that it’s a nice motel Oh and the guy in the front desk was kind of rude but you know they all are aren’t they nowadays

Dave Bentley

If you need longer term lodging and little extras like a kitchenette, this might be a good fit for you Compared to the other options, this property is well priced, the rooms are clean, and everything seems pretty safe The “No Smoking” signs seem to be more of a suggestion than anything because the place smells pretty ‘green’ all the time

Also, if you need a reliable internet connection- you’re not gonna be happy -it’s miserably slow and drops pretty much everything, so no video conferences Bottom line is, if you’re not too picky, you should give this one a shot
