Nice, new, clean hotel Staff was lovely It’s great having the kitchenette features including little dishwasher

On-site gym is quite good, and good on site laundry facilities Close to shopping and highway Easy parking My only complaint is that the room’s window faced a wall four feet away I think this is just for rooms 110, 210, 310, and 410 The other suites’ windows look okay

Very nice new hotel, clean and confy You can find plugs every where in the room to charge your devices Plenty of hooks in the bathroom to hang you clothes and towels

Very specious Mario at the front desk is very friendly and keep checking on us when we pass by the desk Our requests were answer in timely manner The free breakfast is one of the best, a lot of healthy choices and fresh fruits are serve

We have stayed here four or five times now The property is new and we’ll situated near Davis The rooms are studio apartments with a kitchen, living room and desk area, king bed, dressing area and a large bathroom

It would be easy to cook with all pans, utensils and dinnerware and the fridge is full size There is a Target across the street Off the lobby is a breakfast area with a full breakfast offered, and there is a great seating area with a fireplace and outside grills There is a gym There is a small convenience shop with a range of beverages, frozen foods and snacks I love the comfort of the room and bed and a great large television I hate the industrial eggs at breakfast and White Castle style coffee I highly recommend this hotel

Hotel by itself was just fine But the attitude of front desk management is horrible and not comer friendly I booked and intended to stay on a thursday but as I wasn’t feeling well I was forced to extend by another day

I called in to tell the front desk that Next day as I check out I was charged more than 16 times for the extension ($165) On checking I saw the web price was $143 & asked for that, but was refused I was told to talk to the manager & inspire of leaving messages few times, there was no call back Finally I called back, to be simply told that it was responsibility to check price and not theirs & nothing can be done But there is no customer friendliness to this place – Seems to be focused on maximizing their revenues

Michelle 2001

Loved the location as there were a good chunk of eateries, they do serve complimentary breakfast from 6:00am to 9:00am Mon through Sun However, the front desk service was okay, not too personable like other best western’s or holiday inns, doubletrees, Hilton’s, or Hampton inns At least there was someone at the desk at all times unlike the Holiday Inn in Corning CA though

Also, the weatherstripping on the door was gone, and throughout the night as I was playing the television 📺 I’d find a random bug flying inside from under the door at full speed, either moths, flying roaches, or beetles and crickets They aren’t pet friendly, and they tell you upfront that if they find a pet you’ll be charged an additional cleaning feeThey do have a pool which had plenty of visitors inside of it, cable, and ice machines No elevator 🛗 though, so you may want to request a downstairs room if there is a physical limitation to climb the stairs Unlike the doubletree in Petaluma the parking is freeI thought the rooms were very clean, they smelled nice unlike other hotels that have the old carpet scent, and their heaters/fans run on a thermostat unlike other old hotels that don’t have a thermostat and have you waking up at all hours of the night to turn on/off the heater/fan

Front desk lady is RUDE and not helpful! Mr Cook the general manager this am was in rant that I DESTROYED them on social media, also blamed me that no supervisors were on site for 2 days and didn’t give em time to rectify Mr cook it’s your job to staff your hotel NOT MINE and based on other reviews your FRONT DESK is and has been a problem! Enjoy your call with CORPORATE BIG WIGS

Our recent trip to Davis was mostly for a return stay at the Best Western Plus Palm Court but in the larger suite(3rd floor, fireplace, balcony, whirlpool tub), which was originally recommended by my oldest son but was unavailable during our first stayI gave the hotel only 4 stars this time because over all this establishment has pasted my white glove inspection on multiple visits The quality of cleanliness in our room, lobby/general areas, outside of the structure and even the parking garage continues to be one of the best places I’ve had the enjoyment of staying at throughout our travels

All staff members(hotel & restaurants) are always polite, professional and helpful We enjoy visiting the local shops(stores & nail salon) during our visitsHowever, the lose of one star was due to the fact that 2 out of 3 amenities(balcony & fire place) that the room featured were unavailable and no prior courtesy message was given!? I did make my reservations, two weeks in advance, through Bookingcom but was still able to easily message back and forth directly with the hotel I wanted to get confirmation that this time the suite we’d be staying in would be the larger suite(which featured the 3 amenities mentioned above) And yet even after making reservations two weeks in advance, have been in contact with the hotel directly and even upon arrival not once was I informed that some of the featured amenities would not be available?! This floor had several rooms on it and I couldn’t help but wonder if everyone was having to experience the unfortunate disappointment of barely finding this out upon entering are suite? Seeing as how our stay was only for one night I decided to not bother contacting the receptionist but instead take advantage of the one still available feature which was the whirlpool tub Next time I’ll be sure to just make the phone call direct so I have a name on file of whose confirming what

I didn’t realize how busy Davis is at night that town is really alive It’s a great vibe The hotel however has seen better days I mean the room was nice but it was a little bit dated

But I did have a lovely time and I would go back I gave it a low Mark for service because I just tried to have a wine bottle opened in the bar downstairs and they charged me a corkage fee and even though I bought another bottle of wine from the same bar and then they didn’t even open them they just handed me a bottle opener And they were kind of rude

We had king suite very nice and beautiful loved the balcony very nice for our family Hotel mantince was very quick when needed Very understanding to my 2 year old artistic child

Tiki bar was very good to The restaurant that is not associated with the hotel not good at all We asked for chicken sandwich and fries got fish instead two of our kids at the fries and got fish food poisoning and was throwing up all night, the manager the next day tried to say it was his restaurant but my kids didn’t eat anything else I wasn’t happy with restaurant at all but the hotel is awesome I would recommend it 100% to anyone

Really nice hotel A wild turkey greeted Us in the parking lot! Rooms are clean and spacious enough for my family of four to sleep in They do skimp on body wash and shampoo

Definitely not enough for a family of four to use so we had to get more The pool is a good size and has towels that you can use in cabinets next to it Only thing I would advise is go to breakfast early We unfortunately went 15 minutes before closing and they’re not one to have it fully stocked until the very end There wasn’t much for us to eat except for some bagels and cereal All the hot stuff was gone It was definitely higher on the price per night than most other hotels but you can’t beat the location if you’re there to visit the student or do something on the campus Never got to use the fitness room but if we have the ability to stay here again I would definitely use it because it look nice

The hotel staff was extremely accommodating! We attended as part of a non-profit/conference group and the staff were such hospitable hosts and had no complaints of us! They were flexible w/ check out and even didn’t express any complaints of us staying/working in the lobby until 3-4 AM multiple nights back to backAlso, the rooms were very spacious and comfortable for a hotel that seemingly appeared small from the outside

Ashwin Raghuraman

This hotel is literally amazing! In planning for our field trip, we made multiple bookings for individual rooms, which could have resulted in a chaotic situation, however the staff reacted to our error extremely well Particularly, Hamid went out of his way to ensure we had a pleasant experience, and it’s thanks to him that our field trip was able to go smoothlyAdditionally, I went to the lobby around 2 AM to get something to drink, and after noticing that the hot chocolate packets were out, Amaris offered to make me a hot chocolate herself (which was delicious)

The rooms themselves are very clean and quite large, with comfortable mattressesAll in all, this is an incredible hotel with truly wonderful staff

I am a customer who booked a room at the Vine Inn for two days in April, 2022 The stay was unpleasant due to unsatisfactory maintenance and terrible service there, and I will try to tell the story as objectively as possible:1 Upon arrival, the parking lot was full

Their parking lot has approximately 14 spots for more than 20 units, so complimentary parking advertised on their website is not guaranteed I was instructed by the front desk to park on the street2 Upon entering the room, there was an unwashed mug below the coffee maker with coffee stain on it The room was recently remodeled so the overall quality is fine Specifically, the TV was nice and new so I tried to turn the TV on but could not find the remote I tried to call front desk but the telephone had no “front desk” label and neither was any instructions or labels nearby I then walked to the front desk (~10-11PM) but it was locked down, so I went back to my room to do some work but there was no pen and paper provided in the room3 In the next morning, I received a ticket for parking on the street The fine amount was 50 dollars Then did I realize that from 8AM-6PM there is only 2-hour parking at downtown Davis, but these angled parking spots do not have signs at each spot like mostly everywhere else The sign is ~100 feet away near the intersection so it is hard to be found at night I was not informed by the front desk about limited street parking4 When I went to the front desk to file a complaint, I requested to talk with the supervisor and cancel the second night for staying with a full refund (yes, only the second night that I am not staying) I was told that the supervisor was not there today I then requested the supervisor’s phone number to explain the issues and discuss a solution, but I was told that they cannot give me the phone number I therefore requested the front desk to call the supervisor and pass on the message or make a decision on behalf of the supervisor, the request was also declined I was told that I have to email the supervisor myself via their general info email address At this point, it seems obvious that they do not want to resolve this issue at all I did persist and send the email according to their suggestion, and I also attached my phone number and requested a phone call, but there is no surprise that I have never heard from them since then I am writing this review four days or two business days after my stayBelow is my subjective opinion: the issues above were only minor issues and very easy to resolve, but the way they handled this showed how poor their service and management were They could have canceled the second night and given me their hotel credit for one night’s worth or at least the equal fifty dollars for the parking ticket (even though everybody knows that I am never coming back), but they have chosen to waste 15 minutes of my life writing down this long review If you are choosing to live at downtown Davis, just stay in the Hilton nearby The dollars saved is not worth ruining your trip

Overall, a decent option if you want to be in downtown Davis Unfortunately the room phone does not have a button to call the front desk At 1:40 am, a group was hanging out right outside our room and had a very loud conversation while drinking for over 30 minutes

We tried calling the normal phone number of the hotel, but no one picked up Unfortunately no one from the hotel was there to help monitor the noise and my partner had to ask the group to be quiet multiple times

Charlotte Lewis

This place is such a great option for the price point! The rooms are small (no closet, for example—very minimalist) but very thoughtfully furnished, so even though they’re streamlined everything that’s in there is really nice I absolutely fell in love with the sheets, haha! I think I told everyone we saw the whole week about them The bathroom had been tastefully and recently remodeled too

Great location in downtown, walkable to all the best food and coffee Overall if you’re looking for a less expensive option in Davis (and understand that you’re not booking a luxury hotel, but a very luxurious motel as budget options go) this was a great bang for our buck!

Only entrance is through the Lobby There are exits, but you can NOT use your room key to get inside There was less than foot of clearance between the A/C unit and the bed

Supposedly a suite, but the only TV is small and at the foot of the bed Sitting on the sofa in the living room area, you look at a black wall above a table that would be perfect for a TV

Spencer Manners

Location is just off I-80, Hwy 113 exit Lots of fast food options within 1 block Sit down restaurants nearby

Grocery stores within walking distanceLobby and Rooms just like in the photos Neat, clean and modernFriendly staffBreakfast included and goodExcellent value

The hotel is nice It is very clean and easy to find and was a decent price in the area It is close to many resturants, gas stations and stores and not far from the freeway

However, the road noise is very loud, even on the 2nd floor And busses start running and heavy traffic starts at about 6am The complimentary breakfast is very good, and the eating area is nice

Tough to review this hotel, but I would give it 25 stars

location is great, staff was perfectly pleasant at check-in, and the included breakfast met our needs with tea/coffee, cereals, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, some fruit and a waffle maker However, the room wasn’t vacuumed as well as it should have been (there were seed shells on the floor near the wall) and the coverlet on the bed was not really clean (two stains on one bed), but the sheets were clean and the bathroom was also We were only there for one night otherwise I would have asked to switch rooms or have it re-cleanedagain, the sheets were clean and that was what mattered most 🙂

Gustavo Kreutz

The only good thing about this hotel is its location I was assigned a tiny room near the stairs Room needs urgently a deep cleaning and some renovation

AC was off when I arrived and once I turned it on I could smell something dirty and my allergies started to pick up In addition, I could see spider webs on the ceiling just above the bed and also in the breakfast room

This hotel was good for the price I got and my kids loved the pool The room was decent The main problem I had was the hotel took $496 and $106 out of my account after I paid for the rooms already

I went to speak to someone and the manager had released my money and then after I checked out they took my money again I called the hotel and they told me I need to wait until Monday for the manager So that was my money to spend fun times with the kids while on vacation so because the hotel took my money twice and left me with basically nothing I couldn’t do things with the kids So if you don’t want a money issue stay somewhere else

Cindy Rinaldi

4 & 5 star reviews are fake Especially the ones without a commentLook at my review and pictures on Google

They posted all the pictures and they don’t lie This hotel is disgustingFirst, our key didn’t work That only delayed my disgust for 20 minutesThe floors were not vacuumed I found a full size twizzler on the floor along with crumbs That probably explains the roaches Yes, ROACHES The bedding was stained, torn and had holes Both beds had hair in them Hair in the shower Shower mat was moldy and smelled Only 1 towel for a double bed room Sticky substance on the table Half the lights don’t work Don’t stay here, it’s disgustingOh yeah, I have bug bites this morning I was supposed to stay 2 nights, but checked out this morning I don’t want to bring home roaches and bed bugs!!!I am making a complaint to the health department This place should be shutdown immediately and the owner should be fined if they are not keeping up on maintenance I’ll guarantee they have had other complaints against themI really hope the military does not put their folks at this hotel It’s not acceptable for anyone!!

Tamara Lauer

It is basically clean It is not at the level Comfort Suites is typically The built in hair dryer does not work

When I told the front desk it seemed like they already knew A 2 queen bed room they only supplied 2 towels, no wash cloths Since our daughter is with us, I had to go ask for another towel It is more of a Comfort Inn in my opinion Breakfast had no fruit and luke warm coffee They did have cereal, waffles and yogurt, etc Pool and hot tub are nice It is definitely a good place to stay Just doesn’t scream Comfort Suites to me We have stayed in many Choice Hotels over the years from Rodeway’s on up But I would stay here again

00 without being advised that they were going to do so, and secondly upon check out we were charged a $500 “Service Fee” The room deposit was refunded because we do not smoke and we do not have pets The “service fee” has not been refunded and the receptionist said “it’s a tax” The attitude and lack of explanations were very disconcerting to say the least! It has made us resolve to stay elsewhere for our next visit

The continental breakfast was generous and yummy: petite cheese omelets, bacon and sausage, mixed fruit, and a lot more The staff were all courteous, even the cleaning crew This is a dog-friendly hotel (hence the jars of dog biscuits at the front desk)

Only complaints are cosmetic: some paint chipping, wonky wi-fi, a bad deskside USB port, a temperamental mini fridge, and the hotel room door was a bit heavy to open Overall, a good place for an in-town holiday

We were going to stay only one night, but this place is so nice we extended our stay to three nights It’s very close to Napa Valley and SF so it’s a great place to stay and day trip to the local attractions The price for the room was inexpensive for what you get

Cheaper still if you are a rewards member, which is free and easy to sign up for when you make your reservation We loved our two queen suite with a well stocked kitchen and comfy living room Lovely beds and pillows There were two TVs in our room One in the bedroom and one in the living room We were able to use our FireTV Stick so we binge watched Better Call Saul 😆The hotel offers a happy hour each day with free food and drinks We enjoyed the chili dogs and beer The breakfast buffet offers lots of choices The make our own waffles are always a hit The hotel is beautiful, clean and feels like home and is located in a lovely area with a natural pond behind it We would love to stay here again

So the only reason I couldn’t give this place 5 stars was because of the room It’s a beautiful place, staff was really nice and acknowledged us everytime we walked by We loved the free breakfast every morning! That was really helpful with the kids being able to pick what they wanted

And the indoor pool was perfect after a long day of exploring! But the rooms were kind of outdated The worst part about the room was the carpets They were sticky You had to keep your shoes on the whole time and could hear your shoes peeling off the carpet with every step That’s really my only complaint other than the first night the people above us sounded like they did gymnastics all night long! We never complained cause it was good enough for the short time we spent in the room I’d still recommend this place to everyone and most likely will be back, just hope they shampoo those carpets before then!
