Located between highway exits across the highway from the AquariumRooms were clean and nice Small fridge, microwave and large screen TV

Next door there is the Leathernecks Bar and Grill Good place for a beer and burgerThe Black Bear is a great place for a well portioned breakfast, lunch or dinnerAbout a 10/15 minute walk there are a couple of shopping centers Everything from Kohl’s to Smith’s GroceriesThe only downside was that the location is really not that convenient for mass transit

l spend a whole week in this hotel with my boyfriend and the rooms are clean and comfortable the bed is nice and soft and the room is nice and cool(tho you can change the temperature however you want) The only thing I would like to change is the breakfest and their options, but the scrambled egg is the best egg you will ever eat in your life

Even tho the breakfast has minor problems this hotel is a great place to stay while you explore Salt Lake City

We stay here quite often for personal and business trips The rooms are always clean and quiet We love that the pool is open during the late hours

There is plenty of grass areas outside for pets The location feels safe and we have never had any issues with work materials in the trucks The elevator is a little wobbly so we have taken the stairs quite a bit which is inconvenient with bags We do stay often so it would be nice to get a discount after multiple stays and being loyal!

Sunshine “MamaSun” Krunglevich

We stayed at this best western on a spring break trip to Salt Lake city We traveled with a dog, they hold a $25 cleaning fee per night for this We were only charged a total of$25 for cleaning after we left

Probably due to having a yellow lab that shed quite a bit, so I understand and am not upset about it The rooms were very clean, the bathrooms were very clean, the hallways had a few ” sprinkles” of evidence of others staying there, but those things were not there the next day, ie, they clean this place to to bottom daily My only complaint world be that the mattresses are spring mattresses and you can tell they could use an update Overall the nights sleep was comfortable, but I did miss my memory foam bed from home Highly recommend this best western, centrally located, friendly and helpful staff, free breakfast, pool, and clean rooms!!!

Andy Gorrospe

Good location near the main road and has Wendy’s right beside it Lobby is small and so is the breakfast area Has a pool which is great, however, you have wet guests walking to their rooms and dripping on the carpet making the hallway and elevator smell dank (which would be ok if I were at the beach)

The shower handle (to turn the water on) also requires some force to pull, I thought I was going to snap it off the wall Front desk staff are nice and friendly Mixture of pros and cons but enough pros for 4 stars

We stayed one night Very clean room on the second floor It’s a new building so everything is in great condition

Check in was easy and fast My kids enjoyed the pool and complimentary breakfast Some options were cereal, oatmeal, pastries, eggs and sausage The only issue I had was having to pay for parking , $7/day There was nothing special about parking, not even covered/gated parking

D C (Fluffs Adventures)

Great staff and stay! Room was clean and we’ll stocked Definitely plenty of space in the room and lots of outlets all around as well as USB connections Location wise it’s close to the freeway entrance and shopping areas

Great views and breakfast was nothing fancy but considering its free, a delight! Front desk, the kindest front staff I’ve encountered Definitely worth staying at

Christine Myers

Might want to clean the vents in bathroom once in awhile They charge for parking

why??? I understand downtown hotels where parking is limited but here I don’t understand I was taking a shower and discovered the conditioner bottle was empty If you are a woman you understand how annoying it is not to be able to condition my hair The bottles are locked to the shower wall so I couldn’t even tip it upside down to get any little amount Mattress are not comfortable Breakfast was disappointing So at 7:15am breakfast items not being warm doesn’t make sense I understand at 9:50am why they might have gone coldThe positives are that the room was really large and it has a good kitchen

My company rented a conference room for an off-site strategy meeting Their conference room is fairly small, and located on the second floor This hotel has no elevator, so anyone with injuries or disabilities would be hard pressed to participate in a meeting in this location

They charges us a “refreshments” charge and provided us with a pitcher of unfiltered water, and a bowl of fruit flavored hard candy Not worth itIf we hadn’t been so last minute with these plans, we would not have booked our conference here

Carri Byers

We’ve had really good luck with Fairfields in the past, but was disappointed with this one Comfortable beds are what we are willing to pay a higher price for, but this bed was hard and uncomfortable It doesn’t matter how great the other amenities are, if I have a lousy sleep experience, I can’t recommend it

We booked three nights and only stayed two

The Guest Services we’re very welcoming Coming from out of state for surgery for my 9 year old They where very Accommodating they even gave us an entire bag of Ice for him so we could make Ice packs

The rooms are extremely clean the housekeeping was also helpful The breakfast was hot food like waffles, sausage & eggs that was good and helpful when you’re on A budget for Travel The location is great target is right across the street You have tons of restaurants you’ll love it if you’re A foodie especially The indoor pool is huge! It was so enjoyable and warm They also have A cool basketball court There very family friendly and pet friendly I highly recommend this location for any Travel reason

Jessica Beard

I was a bit disappointed with this stay Hotel staff was friendly and the faculty is not outdated but our room was not cleaned well All the air vents were heavily dusty, a lot of crumbs and dirt swept under the edge of our kitchenette cabinets, bathtub had soap scum in all corners and our room smelled like someone’s Asian left overs when we walked in

Breakfast was mediocre overall (waffles were awesome) but it’s a “free” breakfast so what do you expect The ladies managing breakfast were nice and very helpful The pool was okay for a short time but was over chlorinated causing our eyes to burn while sitting in the pool room Our kids had fun and we had plenty of space I may look somewhere else in the future

The location was convenient and seemed pretty secure Check in was efficient and we were treated well with all staff interactions Cleanliness was good throughout the property

Breakfast was standard fair with an okay variety but pretty meh quality I didn’t have high expectations and unfortunately wasn’t surprised by a stellar tasting breakfast either It’s good enoughI did feel misled regarding our room Realizing that some of this is on me for not doing better research when booking, it was disappointing to book a ‘suite’ to find it just a standard room with two beds and a pull out all in the same space My previous experience with booking suites involved having some separation in sleeping space This meant our space was cramped with 5 people but it workedI would stay here again, but make sure you know what you are getting if booking a ‘suite’

Leeroy Mitchell

I would like to say first the Housekeeping staff is amazing and deserve 5 stars! I stayed at this property for 3 weeks while my place was being prepared Miss Martina is the best! Ashley at the front desk was accommodating and understanding deserve 5 stars! She went over and beyond to ensure my stay was a relaxing experience Now I will explain why this property is not getting 5 star because the lady that do the breakfast is by far the meanest individual I ever met

She is so damn lazy and spend most of the time on her cellphone Breakfast is the worst and she rarely put out multiple items! Everything is always undercooked and poorly managed! I wouldn’t want no one to lose there jobs but they may need to consider sitting her down and having a conversation with her!

Home 2 is a great hotel I highly recommend them One of the things we’ve loved is their amazing breakfasts that are included

We were sorely disappointed with the offering here It may be due to Covid19 changes Most hotels just do a grab bag now days so it wasn’t just that at least, but the offerings were very poor compared to what I’ve experienced at every other Home 2 I’ve stayed at The pool towels were not stocked The room was clean so comfortable with great amenities Even though it wasn’t the best Home 2 we’ve stayed at I would still come again and still highly recommend them

Got here early, was denied check in at 11 but front desk didn’t even try to be accommodating It’s not like they’re at capacity — the hotel is a dead zone — there is nobody here There is a hotel just a block away, Embassy Suites, which is far superior at the same price point and was allowing early check-in

Despite making her aware of this, she told me I’d have to pay a half day rate just to get access an hour earlier Despite many friendly attempts at pleading (I told her I just quickly needed to change and wash my face to head out for a business meeting — but she didn’t care, and even went as far to ask me if I had a car… ???? I didn’t need to go kill time I needed a few minutes to prep for an important meeting)This place looks like it was renovated in the last 10 years or so, but you’ll have a very low ROI if customer service sucks In the business of hospitality, sometimes it’s in your best interests to make concessions for friendly (not overly demanding) customers, ESPECIALLY when it costs you nothing to do so I’ll have to come to South Jordan for business often but will most certainly choose the Embassy Suites over this Holiday Inn next time and will be advising my company to stay away from this place

Kristi Smith

My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom suite with a jetted tub Everything about our stay was PERFECT We arrived earlier than expected but the front desk clerk allowed us to check in an hour earlier

When we entered our suite, it was so clean and spacious The main bathroom was huge with a large (dual head) shower and relaxing bubbler tub There was also a second half bath in the living room area that was handy The bed was really comfortable, the fireplace cozy, and the tvs were HUGE The bedroom had double doors to separate the living room area which was nice to allow my early bird husband to watch tv while I slept Each room had it’s own climate control which we liked as well Everything exceeded our expectations and we really enjoyed our stay We’ve stayed in multiple hotels in the Salt Lake area and this is (by far) our favorite place to stay The overall vibe is safe and welcoming, the building orderly and clean, and you can tell that management takes their job seriously

Dionna Crofts

Rooms where clean, staff was friendlySucks there was no shuttle from the airport to hotel, but I understand people don’t want to workReason for my review: I accidentally book my hotel for the wrong day

That’s on me, whoopsI get to the hotel, the girl tells me it’s for the wrong day, but not to worry she could switch it to the night I neededI woke up this morning to a charge from the hotel (full price) for a room I was not even able to stay in I don’t even live in the same state

We really enjoyed our stay at Tru by Hilton! The rooms were really good and the king sized bed was really comfortable! The TV was amazing! Huge with a picture so real it was nuts! They have great amenities too! There’s a pool table in the lobby just past the front desk! 24/7 gym too My only issue was I found it very odd that there was only 1 small trash can in the entire room! Odd! Needed at LEAST 1-2 more! Will definitely be back! Oh and I loved the decor! Oh! And I mustn’t forget they have the BEST continental breakfast we’ve EVER had in ANY hotel we’ve ever stayed in! Hands down the best of them all! Thank you Tru by Hilton! It was a pleasure to stay with you guys! 😁⭐⭐⭐⭐

Dale Nelson

We loved it here, all the employees were so kind and friendly, the breakfast was amazing, the rooms were clean and beautiful The TV in our room was huge and the internet was amazingly reliable Never had a chance to use the gym or spa, but this was a very nice hotel and reasonably priced

The bed was super comfortable and we loved the sun shade, simple and effective Really an amazing hotel at an amazing price

Jeff Jones

This place is amazing! The property is kept impeccably clean, with staff always cleaning, vacuuming etc As far as service, the hotel staff is hospitable, kind, and really impressed my wife which is hard to doWe’ve stayed at most Hilton brands, including the Waldorf Astoria and none impressed my wife more than this hotel

Honestly, it’s the staff that made her feel welcome, and I am “Tru-ly” happy to recommend this specific hotel to anyone

This is an older Hampton Inn It desperately needs some attention Not in the best part of town

No refrigerator or microwave in the room as normal in many Hilton properties I was scheduled to stay for 4 nights I moved to another much better Hilton property for the same rate downtownI would recommend this place only if you need a room to sleep in or it is ski season and the rate was good Definitely better hotels in Salt Lake City to stay in

Stephanie Nightingale

Absolutely horrible customer service! An older woman’s husband was dying in the hospital and the hotel wouldn’t allow her to extend their reservation because he wasn’t at the hotel – in person! How in the world would he be able to do that? The woman offered to pay cash but the front counter shooed her away When she asked if he wanted her to sleep in her car, he just shrugged Appalling customer service

All staff were the same None seemed to like their jobs and several talked badly about new management DO NOT stay at this hotel

E. Jeffrey Hill

Because my wife is allergic to dogs and there were no rooms for her at this hotel because ALL rooms are pet friendly We asked to change rooms, no dice

even though the parking lot was basically empty We asked for a refund, no dice because we paid ahead I have stayed at Hilton properties for 40 years This has never happened before, and I hope it never happens again Or I may move to Marriott!

This place is incredible Every time I walk through that front door I’m greeted by amazing and professional individuals From day one the supervisor “Hope” was accommodating and could probably give a seminar on customer service

I’ve stayed at this specific hotel for about a month and Spencer at the front desk was able to answer every question about the area and point me in the right direction with confidence Overall I hope to come back to this hotel in the near future The employees make establishment a great place to stay and that is why I can confidently give this place 5 star rating

I called the same night I checked out and was told I had to call back the next morning When I called the next day to speak to the supervisor for lost and found they told me they hadn’t found anything and they did not have my charger I only stayed for the night and remember clearly that I forgot to grab it I gave them the benefit of the doubt and checked my duffel bag that only had one outfit in and it wasn’t there I’m just so sad that my charger won’t be returned

Con #1: They asked for my card even though I had the reservation OPEN on my phone, when I asked why they said “to have on file in case of damage” This is common practice at hotels so it was fine by me and I gave it to them I found out later after we got home that the hotel charged us AGAIN! I have called multiple times and they keep telling me they cannot access their employee account to fix it and that the “manager” will call me back to take care or it

It has been five days and I still haven’t heard from one manager and the charge is still showingCon #2: Bed was not great, could not get comfortable and woke up with a very sore backCon #3: Besides two packets of coffee, everything is an extra fee It wouldn’t surprise me if they charged people $10 if they were walking through the lobby with squeaky shoesPros: It was very clean

Clean and the beds are so comfortable The most amazing part was the customer service we received from Kim W She was so polite and sweet

She went out of her way to get us our wedding rate and ensure we had a room to stay in if needed for a second night She remembered us at every pass and left us the kindest note I have never stayed somewhere so clean nor have I ever received this level of customer service Please tell her I will never forget her She made our trip memorable

Wish I could rate this 0In town for the week for work and they set me up in this hotel Everything was supposed to be covered and our travel department had been coordinating with the hotel on payment but when I got checked in they asked to swipe my card for incidentals and charged the whole week onto my credit and they had no idea who I should talk to or what I should do about the fact that it was chargedDuring my stay, my room was not cleaned despite me leaving off the do not disturb sign

On top of that, my company booked me for one more night during my stay, I called the front desk and they told me I needed to check out of my current room and move to another one so I had to pack up and take all of my luggage to work When I went to check back in they gave me my SAME ROOM so I completely packed up and lugged everything around for no reasonThe cherry on top was that when I finally got back into my room I was CHANGING and a man WITH A KEY unlocked my door and walked in The only explanation I was given was that they had a miscommunication and he thought the room was vacantI can understand booking and payment issues, I know I will be getting a refund onto my card now, but after all the terrible service and a man using a key to walk into my room while I had clearly checked in at the front desk, I have to speak upI worked with the same front desk woman through this entire process and her customer service was terrible She seemed extremely annoyed with me every time I spoke to her or asked her a question to the point that a coworker of mine pointed out that she was being rude and unhelpful This same coworker was booked at the hotel next to this one and said they received amazing service and loved their stay I will never book at this location again

Sitting right across the road from traverse mountain outlets and strap tank brewery this has been one of the best hotels I gave stayed at in a while Staff was very helpful and friendly We had a small issue that maintenance came and fixed, he even asked if he wanted him to come back later or fix now so he wasn’t in our way

They have a pool, gym, conference rooms, free breakfast not just bagels and toast but eggs, potatoes, cereal, lots more The only complaint I have is the bed in our room was stiff, everyone else slept fine I would stay here again even if I had to drive 30+ minutes to get where I was going Great Job!!!

Horrible the only hotel I’ve stayed at that actively felt like they were looking for ways to rip you off1) their page on Hotels

com says “pet-friendly” my wife called to confirm that before check-in during check-in, the clerk noted the cat as she began checking my family in until a manager happened to walk by he saw the cat and said, “We don’t accept cats” after an hour of arguing, he finally let my family check in, which led to…2) sudden inexplicable mystery fees! on day two, the front desk called and said they forgot to charge us the cat deposit how odd that the cat was discussed with the manager for over an hour the day prior and not once did the manager mention this deposit it seems like a contradictory business practice, to charge a fee for something that you don’t allow in the building at all forgive me for thinking that the more likely explanation is that the management experienced a sudden bout of vindictiveness which is further evidenced by…3) the missing thousand dollars! we check this morning, expecting to find that the hotel returned the pet deposit to us they had not in fact, they helped themselves to another $1,000 and change oddly enough, the exact cost of our stay, times twothe front desk clerk initially said the first one was an authorization charge after we explained that, no, you don’t make an authorization charge by taking the cost of the stay and multiplying it by two, she shifted gears to, “it was an accident”imagine if the rest of us could use that excuse when we take a thousand dollars that doesn’t belong to us “oopsie daisy!,” you say to your employer “i didn’t mean to take my paycheck twice! accident!”if you HAVE to stay with this amateur hour operation, get an itemized receipt don’t let them rob you too

Great stay We love using a digital key and checking in/out on the app No need to talk to people at all!Room 422 (king+sleeper) was almost total black out, save for one bright sliver of light on the side of the window

Bathroom offered an adjustable nightlight if neededA/C worked really well Any loudness helped muffle hallway sounds as people walked by from the elevatorShower head was adjustable There didn’t seem to be an exhaust fan, but no biggieBreakfast was decent continentalmake your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, reheated omelets, cereal, muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit Nothing special, but no complaintsCompared to the Holiday Inn Express next door, a definite winner!

Shanda Weil

Good east to find location, though you do hear freeway noise from your room Not bad but something to be aware ofDigital keys work great!Breakfast was well stocked and good options

Indoor Pool is a good sizeOur personal pro is an actual bathroom door (we have a pet peeve with the new trend to have a barn door on new/remodeled hotels)

Pleasant and quick check in Newer hotel in a quiet area with sufficient parking Everything was clean and the room was spacious

Bathroom was a good size and had great lighting with an over sized shower Complimentary Toiletries were good quality Complimentary coffee in the lobby was a nice touchBecause we had to check out early, they could not provide us with a small breakfast to go, this was the only inconvenienceI’d still give it 5 stars as overall it was a great place to stay!

Newly built hotel, exceptionally clean and in a very convenient location right off the I-15 Short drive to lots of restaurants points of interestWe stayed as a family with 2 young children – the buffet breakfast and pool were a huge hit!Lots of food options, anything from hot waffles with juice to hard boiled eggs and bacon with flavored water or coffee

Sadly if you eat a gluten free diet you will be limited to the eggs and meat selection for the day (sausage or bacon) and dairy products No gluten free cereal or baked good options I made do with a few peanut butter packets from the waffle bar since I’m not huge sausage fanThe rooms were so clean and nice and spacious enoughMy one problem with the hotel room was the blasted “barn door” on the bathroom It offers virtually no privacy due to large open gaps on either side when shut and there is no lock The kids could freely come in and out as we used the bathroom and that was a little annoying, and they loved to slide it fast and slam it so I can see how that could have the potential to be annoying for other visitors (We did put a stop to this from our kids)We slept with a sound machine so it’s hard to judge how quiet the hotel is at night but we slept just fine, zero issues there We were on the fourth floor, top floor which helpsThere was ample charging ports throughout the room in convenient locations, and several USB ports which was perfect! Also each room has a fridge and microwave, nice touchI loved the room darkening and light filtering curtain options, very effective

What a disaster So sad to say because I had high hopes The first room smelled awful

Then I went to the front desk and she was very sweet about it (this lady was very nice and helpful at check in) and gave me the room across the way It also smelled so strong it made my eyes water too but I had so much work to get done I thought I will just try and put up with it Not sure what the prior people were cooking in those rooms I couldn’t even sleep, it gave me a headache Was too tired to get up for breakfast after not sleeping The washcloths were in a ball at the corner of the sink The toilet paper had about a quarter left and was unrolling onto the floor When we peeled the bedsheets back there was black curly hair The shower has handprints on the glass Those things were really disappointing, I didn’t even get any rest or to shower But to top it off I had a small medical emergency this morning and was hoping to extended my check out a tiny bit to get a shower before I left I called 0 from the room and the lady who answered at around 10:55 am was SO RUDE I’ve never encountered that before Absolutely sarcastic and just went out of her way to be so so rude We travel the United States on business and sometimes are in a new state daily so we are very well versed with Hilton Never have we ever had someone so absolutely rude and her tone was purposely so demeaning hopefully she finds another job out of the hospitality industry I was going to extend another night and have our employees meet here to book but after speaking with that lady we are going elsewhere Rooms were not even clean and that lady makes paying double elsewhere more than worth it

Beautiful property with a clean, updated feeling Check-in was quick and easy, staff was friendly This location has a larger than usual fitness facility, lobby area, pool/hot tub and probably the best hotel continental breakfast I have had

The room was nice and spacious and also clean Only a 4-star because the door to my room had definite evidence of damage to the door on the door jam (room 130) This prevented me from being able to use the deadbolt Had I been with my family instead of a business trip, I most likely would have requested a room change Guest safety should always be top priority imo I kept the room and created my own fix, see pics lol This probably won’t be the case for just about every other room I’m sure Great restaurant and shopping options all within a mile

Even with the power going out on us for 1 out of 2 days this was the best and nicest place we have stayed Extremely nice and courteous staff and really clean The mini apartment we had was so nice and COMPLEMENTARY BREAKFAST! I’ve stayed in so many hotels in salt lake and Utah county and this one is way better

Whatever you do never go to the grand America in salt lAke worst 1500 presidential suite we ever spent This place wasn’t even a fraction of that and was wayyyy better

Raven Carlson

It’s nice until you check out and get your incidental’s 261 dollars for logging on to the internet not to mention my car was broken into while I was there and my phone, my prescription glasses, my vapor and much more was stolen I had a lot of stuff in my vehicle because my house had caught fire hence the reason I was even staying there

They didn’t even try to work with me on the bill So I will never stay there again
