Staff is friendly and helpful Our 2 queen room was really small, but we loved being close to the pools and it is included in the price of the room We really enjoyed going to the pool on our 3 day stay

The included Breakfast is okay They don’t have many options available so after the second day of eating there you get bored and don’t know what to order Also, they offer coffee and hot tea only in the mornings and not all day like in most hotels

Aeryn Sun

Great service and an incredible hot springs pool! This was our first time at this resort We stayed the weekend, primarily because we really wanted to try the hot springs pool From the moment we checked in through to checking out, great service! The hotel is clean, as well as the pool area

The staff was considerate and helpful We also liked how easy it was to walk the few minutes on the bridge to get to downtown Glenwood Springs The entire town is charming and we’re looking forward to coming back again soon

Colleen Power

The rooms are clean and spacious, but dated The grounds are nice, with a nice sitting area outside with beautiful views of the mountainsComfortable beds

The hot springs were nice, but we came on a Saturday and half the springs were under renovation Lots of kids The hotel staff were professional and friendly The pool staff were mediocre at best, if not a bit rude at times I was hoping for more from this lodge given the price

We rode the train from Provo Utah to Glenwood Springs CO Hotel Denver is extremely convenient to this historic train station Right across a narrow street

Both the hotel and the train station are located in the most perfect area of town Beautiful views in every direction and within walking distance to endless restaurants and shopping The room was upgraded and very clean and inviting The staff was friendly and accommodating We enjoyed our stay there and would stay again

Harry W.

Beautiful hotel that is centrally located in the downtown area Everything is walking distance that you could want from the hotelOur room was very nice and faced the Colorado River

Clean, nice and quiet but the air conditioner barely worked at all It was °94F when we arrived, the AC was off in our room and the window was open If the management of this place would have just turned on the AC when they got our reservation it would have been at least a little cooler in the room when we got there

Luckily I carry a battery powered fan when I travel or this place would have been unbearable

Ethan Paulluke

My girlfriend and I had made a reservation for my birthday trip when we were heading up to glenwood springs! We had decided to keep going since we weren’t tired and it wasn’t late, we decided to call and cancel our room with plenty of notice They then decided to charge us for the room anyway even though we hadn’t even stopped at the hotel So we called and politely asked if they could dispute our charge and the very very rude gentleman on the phone was saying there was nothing he could do for us over and over

I’ll never be going here and to anyone that is thinking of going DON’T they’re rude and very inconsiderate, hope the $200 was worth your while because you’ll never see another $1 from me again

Nikolai Trbovich

I was very disappointed in my stay here I called around 10:15 pm to ask if they had vacancies, I saw online had listed these rooms being $89 When I called this was not the case it was $149 for the night

I really needed a place to stay so despite the price not matching up I moved forward, I was also very disappointed in my conversation with the attendant He took my card information and then after taking payment told me that they closed at 11pm, I was a few towns away, basically saying good luck making it here on time and thanks for the free money This should have been mentioned to me before taking my card information! Thankfully we ended up making it before that time, just disappointed in my overall experience and for $149 you don’t get much Then come to find out that I was charged for two nights at $149 and I had to dispute the second charge

What a beautiful gem, nestled in the peaks of the Rockies!! This old town has lots of history, much of which took place within the walls of the Hotel Colorado At one point, known as “the western White House”, Teddy Roosevelt spent quite a bit of his time here With pictures and stories or sculptures to cute your will learn lots about one of Americas greatest presidents

It also happens to be the birth place of what we now know as “the teddy bear” and many other neat bits of historyThe property is beautiful with gorgeous flowers hanging from every awning; it’s quite the spectacle In the summer months the restaurant is hosted on the patio during the evenings and inside for breakfastsThe layout is spacious and reminiscent of an older time when cramming as many rooms as you can into a building wasn’t a thing The only downside I can speak of is there is no refrigerator in your room, so you can’t bring perishables or keep a cold drinkIf you’re a history buff or just want to experience a regal old building, this is the place to go!The service was top notch our wait staff was phenomenal We will be back for sure!

I first came here in 2006 and loved it Had time to check it out again after hearing that it was recently renovated and it was still amazing! Great staff, lots of cool history to walk around and look at They were careful to preserve all the history while making upgrades in the renovation

Even if you don’t plan to stay here, at least walk around the grounds and check it out You can freely walk up and down the stairs and check out all the exhibits on each floor

Tresa Baca

The staff at the hotel is phenomenal, they were friendly and helpful and even answered all of our silly ghost hunting questions The accommodations were pleasant and a bit dated , but I do realize the hotel was built in the late 1800’s and is working on renovations We had a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom

The cable was out, not much they could do and we really weren’t there to watch TV anyway, but they did give us free breakfast vouchers and it was delicious, I recommend the banana crepes!Thank you Hotel Colorado we had a amazing sister trip!We had a great time we will be back, to stay in one of the suites next maybe we will get some paranormal activity next time!

Fabulous people (special shout-outs to Nina and her manager, both just amazing folks and so warm and caring), fabulous location, fabulous breakfast (fresh, well-stocked, awesome selection), clean “two-bedroom” (quotes around it because there is no door to the 2nd bedroom but no problem, it’s still lovely), I frankly can’t think of anything they need to do to improve One of the better hotel experiences I’ve had in recent times Makes me want to re-think my loyalty to the Marriott family of properties

Can’t do better than that!

Gina

My family and I stayed here for two nights Actually we’re checking out tomorrow morning I wanted to say I highly recommend this hotel

Number one it’s so convenient, we came for the hot springs It’s just a couple minutes away from either of the hot springs So close to the center of town where all the great restaurants are Centrally located The staff here are so friendly Check-in was a breeze and friendly we were even offered extra towels The hotel room was clean The breakfast was fantastic Crispy bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy scrambled eggs, there’s yogurts, fresh hot coffee, fresh fruit bagels, pancakes that you make yourself We will definitely come back and stay here again

Russ Carver

I stayed here once 10 years ago, and it sure has changed The room used to cost maybe $130 a night and now it’s closer to $300 a night (and that was from Expedia!) The bathroom is very small, so much so that the sink and mirror are not even in the bathroom

And we were apparently at the mating season of some bugs that live in the trees outside of our third floor middle room (July) As such we had bugs all over the room in the evenings as they came in through the air conditioner mounted underneath the window It was disgusting I do not think we would stay here again and Holiday Inn Express is one of my favorite hotel chains

This surprisingly a nice little place Next to to the highway, so noise can be an issue if that bothers you Staff is nice and we’re helpful when checking is in

Had two rooms and they got us as close together as they could Ice machine works which is always a bonus to me Only about 5 minutes from the Hot Springs pool and 4 minutes to the Adventure Park There’s dining places along the road, but downtown is only 5 minutes away, so you’re close to some nice eateriesIt’s no Hilton, but for the price it’s very nice A good place to stay if just getting away for a coupledays with the family

Cynthia London

During our 7 day motorcycle trip throughout the state of Colorado this was the best Motel! The room was very clean and updated, the shower had super sonic water pressure 😃 the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows, our room had a kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker and a sink) The property was meticulously maintained and not scary (like some of the places we stayed) there were 2 chairs and a side table right outside of each room – great for relaxing outdoors Laundry is $1

50 for wash and $150 for dry The office staff kindly provided me with change and a Pod and dryer sheet for a dollar! This motel is truly family owned and operated with pride I was greeted by 3 sons and the dad and each encounter was respectful, courteous and with personality You can tell that these boys have been raised rightIf you’re ever in the Glenwood Springs/Carbondale/Hanging Lake area book a room at this little gem!

Nick Carita

LOVE IT HERE! It’s a VERY affordable price, the rooms are well maintained and designed, and the front office is VERY responsive The owner is SO approachable and friendly We talked for about 20 minutes as I was checking in

Any time I come out here to work with my clients, I will be sure to stay here!

It may be a 2 star rated in Google but don’t let the stars fool you I was quite surprised with the value I got by booking this hotel I have stayed in other La Quinta chains and this one is one of the best

Glenwood springs itself is a very beautiful mountain city and this hotel perfectly compliments the stay The check in process, lobby, parking and rooms – everything was perfect for the price What’s worth mentioning is the breakfast I saw people were waiting in a line in the morning for the breakfast and it was well worth it That’s actually a true hot breakfast

Neal Smith

An excellent, affordable hotel option in Glenwood Springs! The best thing about this place are the rooms, which are very clean and well updated I was beyond pleasantly surprised at how nice they were This extends to the lobby area and the breakfast, which were both great

Our service was really good here too The ladies at the front desk were super helpful, and they went out of their way to say hello every time we passed by I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a solid, less expensive optionHowever, there are two things that this hotel needs to improve on that prevented me from giving it the five stars it would otherwise deserve Firstly, the parking at this place is rough The lot was essentially completely full on two separate evenings we stayed there I had to park way in the back, squeezed between a box truck and pickup Secondly, our room was on the second floor next to the elevator For whatever reason, this elevator in particular was VERY loud Loud enough that it woke me up on several occasions There was also a lot of commotion, talking, and door slamming well into the night–not ideal for a relaxing stay

Arielle Alvarado

It was a great place to stay! I wasn’t a fan of the small pool or jacuzzi The deepest part of the pool was 4ft Then you were given a breakfast voucher for the buffet and had to pay $10 for each extra person or if it was lost

The buffet had a fantastic options to choose from including salsa and green chili to add on The rooms were spacious and clean!

Pleasantly surprised, reasonably priced and perfect location Walking distance from everything!! Amazing restaurants right around the corner, or right across the street Room had 2 queen beds, fridge, microwave, new TV (HBO), small closet and bathroom with shower

I was expecting beds and a bathroom People were extremely friendly and helpful A pipe busted and we lost water our last day,( not their fault)but they turned the water back on for us to shower!( Thanks)Very nice people there, very clean rooms We will be back!!!

Brianna Kelley

This place is a gem The room we stayed in was huge; literally 4x bigger than the one we stayed in previously at the hot springs lodge, and less than half the price It was very clean, and easy walking distance to the glenwood hot springs pool, adventure park, and the downtown area with all of the restaurants

There is also a Mexican restaurant and a breakfast place right across the street We almost didn’t stay here because of other reviews about the beds being uncomfortable, but I thought they were fine Also, my best friend’s flight to Denver was canceled the night before we were supposed to go to Glenwood, so we no longer needed both rooms we had booked This happened less than 24 hours before we were supposed to arrive, but they very kindly allowed us to cancel the other room Great place for families, really nice people, and great price

Sheila McBride

The Starlight Lodge is very conveniently located within walking distance of the hot springs and restaurants The room was clean, bathroom was recently updated and beds were comfortable Shower pressure was a little low and slow draining tub is the only reason I didn’t give a 5-star

The person who checked us in was very friendly We would stay here again

We love staying at Glenwood Suites and it has been our “go to” for years We were a bit disappointed with the upkeep, cleanliness, and breakfast this time around The lobby has been renovated with new flooring and looks great

Unfortunately, the bathroom ceiling in our family suite had been patched around the fire sprinkler on the ceiling and had not been painted and the shower curtain had mildew spots The breakfast has been so much better in the past We really loved when the other room was open with additional hot breakfast options and more tables where we could eat I loved that we never had to compete with other families for a table There were limited options and limited seating for breakfast That all being said, the staff was very kind and we enjoyed all other parts of our stay We are hopeful that our next stay will be better

Angel Gonzales

I loved these Suits I really wished I stayed longer even just to relax another day and just stay in,I would’ve liked being in the hotel more than exploring Glenwood Springs

I would’ve like a later check out time also however my favorite part was that we had two queen size beds along with a set of bunk beds, which I loved how they had their own tv to watch their cartoon super awesome I loved there was a microwave and a decent size fridge I loved how there is a comforter and not just sheets,we brought our own blankets in case their selection for breakfast was great also, would’ve been a major plus for potatoes and bacon but we dealt with the selection they had which was great The price wasn’t too bad for all we got I loved that they actually had a blow dryer (unlike some other hotels we stay at) they even had make-up removal pads,q-tips,and cotton balls, that was amazing I just over all loved this place and was so happy with everything The staff was amazing I have 0 complaints

I highly recommend the resort The views from river is breathtaking The facilities were very clean

We rented the affordable cabin that are located at entrance of resort You do here notices from cars and trailers coming and going There are no electrical plugs inside these cabins so you cannot charge your phones The beds have a foam on top that is very thin, it will feel like sleeping on floor, so bring a thick pad or air mattress for comfort Lastly in the summer those cabins retain heat and are unfortunately hot until 3 am Remember no plugs so make sure you bring your own power juice for a fan Other than that, my daughter and I had a wonderful time I would definitely stay here again in the future Everyone who works there are very kind and helpful

Carolyn Ryan

Highly recommend it! Had our family reunion here Everyone had a choice from the multiple options of cabins, camp sites, etc, for their own preferred level of comfort

Kevin was so accessible and friendly It’s so nicely located, yet you don’t really feel like you’re right off the interstate My personal fave was the camper cabin by the river The view is stunning! The cabin clean and comfortable (air conditioned!) We had just a perfect time

MJ

We booked during the off season this April and had a wonderful experience The resort is in a perfect location, just a short drive to Glenwood Springs It is very reasonably priced for condo type accomodations

The hosts were very friendly, but they allowed us to enjoy our stay without interruption The cabin was perfect for our family of five It would be super fun during the summer when most attractions are open There were a couple of things that needed repair When we let the host know, he was very kind and gave us a free t-shirt for our trouble I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a great mountain experience

We have been staying at this hotel for 8 years, we come yearly for our family trip However this will be our last year staying at this hotel This year we were treated very poorly and we could tell instantly something had changed

We had a stream of issues but two stood out the most First, we had to purchase our own blankets for the bedding for the couch because the hotel had none to give us The couch bed had zero sheets or blankets and when we called to get some we were told there were no blankets We asked nicely what we were supposed to do and the lady at the front desk who was very rude was like we have no blankets to give out because house keeping left us nothing We can give you more sheets but you need to come down to get them So we went to the target and purchased a blanket Also, we had zero toilet paper and called twice to get some and it never came so we purchased that as well That was just few of our multiple problems

I’ve been here for almost two months (travel RN) and I can’t even begin to explain how much I appreciate the front desk and housekeeping employees (and everyone behind the scenes)! Friendly faces, prompt help and great thorough room cleans (*don’t forget to ask for a room cleaning 24 hours in advance) have been *I advise you to bring a small amount of cleaning supplies in case you forget to schedule a room clean*To those who are complaining about being surprised about the overnight parking rate— there are signs all over the hotel and parking lot that states this*If you don’t want to pay, there are very simple solutions – like parking across the street by the strip mall*

Even though it is a bit dated I found our rooms to be clean The beds were good and did not have smells to them

The rooms did have an odor to them but I think most hotels do Nothing a little Lysol can’t take away Breakfast was included and although it’s not gourmet food It’s enough to fill your belly You kinda have to ask for things to be restocked since the personnel is not checking Most of the staff is super friendly and kind I did not feel welcomed when I first arrived

Overall this place is pretty nice for a budget hotel The room was big, it was clean, they had enough parking and free breakfast Breakfast was minimal, but enough

Or you can drive a few minutes down the road to a lot of other breakfast options Location was just a short drive to downtown Glenwood I just thought the bed was below average, so that’s why I gave it 4/5 I also didn’t think the front desk staff was very friendly

Not a bad budget-friendly option Good location close to downtown Amenities are very basic and no frills

Safe, clean, and no bad smells Pet friendly is a plus Our beds were not comfortable and exceptionally bouncy and bed linens were thin and did not keep us warm at night Accidentally left a hat in the room that was not recovered

Terrible service WORSE rooms Let me tell you

Me and my boyfriend decided to stay here over the weekend to celebrate his birthday I can honestly say in my 32 years of living, I’ve never stayed in a more disgusting room We are in the middle of a pandemic right?Where do I start The bathroom looked like it had never been touched prior to the previous guest Hair in the shower, stuff underneath my feet when showering The “clean” towels had who knows what on 3/6 towels (Boogers and blood is what it appeared) The hotel rooms phone had hair and dust all over it There were 2 literal crack pipe indentions on the carpet Oh and the best part about the whole thing? Was the previous guest information on the table in plain site Meaning, they in fact had not cleaned the room prior to us coming For $150 we were blown away by how awful our experience wasNot to mention the incredibly rude front desk worker, pattie who continuously told me to calm down when I was in fact not raising my voice She was just embarrassed since 3 new guest heard everything I was saying and also quoted “we saw a crack pipe too!” She kindly said she would discount us $20 for our problems $20…So just a warning to anyone with a slither of class, avoid this place at all cost Unless you want to smell crack in the hall way! Thanks for helping us out affordable inns! We will be disputing this on our credit card

Called to see if we could check in early They said that they would try and call me back once they knew arrived 20 minutes after 3 pm and the room wasn’t ready

Once we finally got in the room a huge water stain in the bathroom made it dangerous to shower The outlets sparked when you plugged in and the room reaked of cleaning chemicals So much so that my dog threw up for 3 days after we left I would not recommend staying hereReservation: 3665 update 8/10

Beautiful place and great service Would definitely stay here againWhen we checked in we were offered 1st or second floor and told the friendly front desk lady to surprise us

She gave us an upstairs room in the Moose Lodge It was beautiful with a wooden ceiling and a fully updated bathroom We got a letter explaining the covid protocols that are followed and how the rooms are cleaned which offered peace of mind Once we got in the room it was nice and toasty which was a nice touch We called the front desk after setting in and got some great recommendations for dinner and had a lovely night out She was happy to provide options and advice on what Glenwood had to offer The next morning we came to breakfast and the breakfast attendant was very nice He brought us coffee, refills, and took our plates when we were finished We also booked a visit at the Iron Mountain Hot Springs and Best Western Antlers offer a coupon code so we got a few bucks off our admissionOverall, great stay and would visit again

My wife and I have stayed here three times on our trips to Glenwood Springs We keep coming back because the room rates are fairly priced, well maintained, and clean The bed could be a touch softer but is still better than average

The location is excellent with ample parking, even when fully booked You’re 3 minutes door to door from Iron Mountain Hot Springs & the entrance to Glenwood Adventure Park, and 5 from downtown we have always stayed in a king size room which is plenty of space for two full-size adults Peeking into one of the suites looks like they would be very nice for a family of 4-5 with two queen beds as well as what looks to be a pull out couch The staff have always been quite courteous and accommodating We’ve even been there to watch an irate customer go out one of the staff all the while maintaining their cool Breakfast in the mornings is usually a pretty decent fare with plenty of places to sit inside and out There’s also coffee inside of rooms if you prefer just to do things on your own Rooms have some appreciated extra touches, like small fridges with freezer and lamps with USB plug-ins

We were on our way to Las Vegas and stayed here, and again on our way home The owners Sandy and Mel are absolutely 💯 wonderful people They are definitely in the right business for serving people, as they take great pride in it

Our stays were about a week apart and the room’s are impeccably clean with a little bit of rustic charm I would highly recommend this place to anyone Thank you to the staff for a wonderful time Tracy n Dan Richards from MN
