Myself and one of my children had significant allergies to countless things My child is a complex medical child We stopped here overnight while on a pretty long trip

I am extremely picky when it comes to hotels Allergens can put us in the ER real quick! This hotel is clean, void of overbearing or weird smells, the staff was patient and absolutely amazing They let me see the room first, were beyond helpful, and very patient I appreciated their kindness This is a great place to stay and I definitely would recommend!

Emma Brown

Staff was very nice and helpful The location is great right off 65 with easy return The parking lot was large enough to accommodate our uhaul and car trailer

Breakfast selection was good I just would recommend some non pork meats Felt very safe in this area was able to do my morning walk outside Room size is large love separation of couch area from the beds

Nita Starnes

Everything was good except We rented the room there because it had a outside pool but when we got there the pool was out of order It was greener than grass

They said that hopefully it would be in working order by Friday We arrived on Wed with anticipation of relaxing by the pool in this 100 degree heat Paying almost $700 for 4 nights you’d think the pool would be usable that really disappointed me

The staff is super nice, the accommodations are amazing and comfortable We’ve been here since last July and we call this hotel home The staff cares about the place they work at and do an excellent job

I would like to call out Ira, he’s been here a couple weeks and goes above and beyond taking care of the grounds and works really hard keeping Home2 up to standards and I really appreciate him Also I would like to give a shout out to “Patches”, also known as CJ, I believe, he is there whenever we need something taken care of The front desk staff are so welcoming and always greets us with a warm smile And I would really like to praise Ms Evelyn the Gm, she always checks on us and makes sure our stay is always comfortable This hotel, Home2 gives the state of Alabama a pleasure to stay and visit

This place is beautiful and my children and nieces have had a blast We will definitely be back, everyone here was so friendly They even left the keys for us because we showed up after the office closed

I have never had someone do that for me We drove 8 hours to get here and as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out The rooms are extremely clean and the beds so so comfortable Definitely a place worth staying

Shannon Shafer

I never write reviews, but felt compelled to this time My husband, two toddlers, and I were exhausted last night after driving several hours from Ohio on our way to Florida We decided to stop halfway but we called every hotel in existence without luck! We tried for four hours and everyone was booked

We finally gave up at 1:30am, stopped at a Love’s, went inside and bought extra blankets to sleep in the car I decided to search for hotels one more time Well, this place popped up and I called A very nice gentleman said he had a room and he would meet us there with a key I could’ve kissed his face! He pulled up at The Inn as soon as we did Our room was perfect for the night and the beds were comfortable My kids loved waking up this morning to the beautiful, peaceful view of the pond They enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the wrap around porch Will keep this place in mind every year

Close to Interstate, quiet, Outstanding Host&Hostess Host drove me to Lowe’s as I needed an oring for my water filter The Hostess drove to a propane dealer to check if he could fill Class A RVs days before we arrived and called me with his number

so I could tall to him The check in was also perfect The new hire was learning the checkin procedures and the lady teaching him and us had fun This is a nice overnight stay and there is plenty to do for a longer stay The restrooms and laundry facilities are Super

Staff was wonderful! Linens were unchanged with “body hair” covering pillows, sheets, mattress pad and duvet The 2 front desk young ladies changed our bedding quickly once notified and were the sweetest!!!Cleanliness needs to be a higher priority! Rating stay as OK due to staff, otherwise rating would be lowest possible

Heather Hollis

We stayed here a couple of days while getting work done on our home It was myself, my husband and my 8-year-old daughter and I love the beds they were so comfortable, the staff is so friendly, the property is nice and very clean and the best part

The pool! It is so blue and clean and seals amazing and is bigger than most nearby hotels, I know because I checked them out in person before renting a hotel room because that was my main requirement! And I am glad we settled on Hampton inn because the pool definitely met my standards!!

Stephany Zedella

On our road-trip to Destin, Fl, we decided to make a pit stop in Decatur, Al Upon entering the hotel, I was greeted by two friendly young ladies

Definitely not the reason for a two star rating They were very pleasant Upon entering our room, it definitely had a musty smell We unloaded our gear and per usual took a tour of the place as we usually workout and use the pool After a gander of the gym we knew that was not an option My husband commented he had never seen a filthier gym Having glanced at the lamp in our room I was appalled at its filth There were other uncleanly finds After a while we stopped looking as we knew there would be more to get disgusted by Made for an uncomfortable sleep It is unfortunate but I cannot recommend this hotel

at the hotel and cant get in because office is closed and the person works at the office didn’t leave the paperwork so security officer wont let us inThey went through everything from calling me to sending me forms to fill out to get paid Once they get paid, nobody is around to let us in

all of a sudden cell number texting me for the reservation cant return or answer me any longer

Amanda Garner

NOTHING like the pics They’re no where near as nice and cozy as the pics make them look And there’s one that that works in the office, not sure of her name, but is super UN-friendly

She is just NOT happy person But the after hours property manager, Curly, was so sweet and helpful She was actually a lot of fun And the other lady, can’t think of her name right off either (sorry, I know that’s not real helpful either) but she was super sweet and friendly also But trust me, if u plan to stay here, u will definitely know which is which (as far as the 2 ladies in the office), it didn’t take but about 5 seconds to figure out which one is very pleasant with a great personality and attitude And which one is Well, NOT so much

I don’t know where to begin Stains everywhere, my room smelled like cigarettes which I guess was allowed even though they have a 100% smoke free policy Torn couch which was obvious yet no one cared to replace it?Towel holder falling off the wall

Stains on what is suppose to be a freshly made bed Cracked wall paint and it was apparent that whoever the hired to “fix this place” up did not know what they were doing Roaches Roaches Roaches!!!! I could go on for hours about whats wrong with this placeThe topping on the cake is that next door is a animal hospital with an outdoor dog play ground, from 6am til I left was the sound of constant dogs barking This hotel needs to be shut down and destroyed Irresponsible management, housekeeping employees and owners, I’m not sure what standards La Quinta/Wyndham holds their franchisees too but this isn’t it

Tanecia Elzey

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! I booked this hotel based on the fact it was a Wyndham property as I’m a timeshare owner expecting it to be a nice place! BOY WAS I WRONG! Wyndham she be embarrassed to back this LaQuinta!! We had reserved a NON-SMOKING king… We may have gotten a non-smoking king but it smelled of Smoke!! There were burn marks in the curtain… we window sills we’re not clean… The bathroom had 2 large holes in the wall where the plumbing comes in … they needed to be closed up! There was only 1 towel…

However we didn’t even shower it was so gross! Kept our flip flops by the bed … would not step barefoot on the nasty carpet!!! Ohhhh and the breakfast 😂😂😂That’s a JOKE! Apples, Brown bananas… a few plain bagels and 1 muffin… those were the breakfast choices… NO THANKS! We couldn’t check out fast enough! Also the parking lot had quite a few shady people hanging around!!!Will never 👎🏼 stay there again

Melissa Holmes

When we checked in to room it had not been cleaned The girl at checkin had to clean it We wanted a jetted tub and were very disappointed with what they have for that price

It was a bathtub with weak jets set up in the bed area with tinted sliding doors It looked dirtywell it wasHair had not been picked up when washed It must be old cuz they tried to cover up cracks with paint! It looked terribleHad to give them a $50 deposit and 5 days later we still don’t have it back!Didn’t need an alarm clock! Had dogs barking before 7am right outside the window! Drink machines were messed up Room had a funny odor to it TV had antenna channels 99, 104, 124etc outdated for sure Not looking like the pics you see online!

I have stayed in a few hotels in this area So far this is the best so far The parking lot very well lit up when I came in at almost 11 pm

The hotel was clean and didn’t smell of cigarettes Room was clean at check in I came back after working all day to a clean room and fresh towels The room smells fresh and the AC was just as I left it Staff was very accommodating and friendly The past experiences I’ve had in the area were terrible! This stay was quite refreshing The gym was closed for service which was okay It looked as they were in the middle of servicing the equipment I will definitely stay here the next time I’m here working

M Smith

I used to stay at this hotel under previous ownership And it was a basic two star hotel with no problems or issues I also typically do not post negative comments

I simply choose not to go back But when I heard the owner instruct the girl at the front desk to lock the front door of the hotel, I thought this needed addressing The hotel was supposedly sold out, but showed availability online The front door is a primary fire exit When the girl pointed out to the owner that no one would be able to get in or out, he said that he did not care and that they did not need to be able to go out I’m not going to comment on this further because I would just be ranting Take what you will from this and form your own opinions

Kathy Bartolomucci

While traveling to Florida we stayed here one night, March 20, 2022 and checked out the next day It was very clean, and the beds are so comfortable! The young man who checked us in was super friendly and helpful The young woman who took over that night was equally friendly! We would stay here again for sure! Thanks for all that you do to keep your hotel a wonderful place to stay!

Stayed for a month, beginning 7/2021 The hotel was clean and I did not see any bugs in my room Front desk lady Lavonne is very rude, I’m pretty sure she doesn’t like black people

Only issue I had was WiFi Be prepared to NOT have internet When I complained, Lavonne said WiFi is “free” NOT included in your stay 🤷🏿‍♂️Signal is typically stronger towards the rear I asked to be moved, since I was working from homemy concerns were completely ignored Besides Lavonne, staff was great Property is quiet for the most part Convenient location

The reviews about this place needing to be closed is real I don’t expect a 2 star hotel to have the best of the best but basic cleanliness and hygiene is a must I thought my first room was DISGUSTING the second room needed to be bleached and hosed down

I disinfected and wiped down everything and all my rags were black including the floor towels

Tristen Ellis

DO NOT STAY HEREThere are bugs in the rooms and NO HOT WATER Not even somewhat warm water here

Be prepared for icy cold showers if you plan on staying here Also; when we arrived, the front of the bathroom counter in our room was hanging off and the front of one of the drawers on the chest of drawers was missing so we told management about this so that they didn’t try to charge us for damages Maintenance came and fixed the counter and “fixed” the drawer by just taking the rest of the drawer out The refrigerator was also nasty when we arrived

The TimberGhost

Literally bugs EVERY WHERE! Got plenty of pictures too! Paid with my points, checked in the first room and the heater didn’t work, they lady at the front desk with red hair not like a redhead like blood red, she acted like I was bothering her She finally put me in another room and there was no TV She would not refund my points and told me to pick, no TV or no heat, it was 23° that night

I am a Wyndham Diamond member, I Literally Stay in motels 9 months out of the year I have never been treated so bad in my life!

We ended up making our reservation online because after spending calling the local number and asking about a room and then being transferred to the main call center and waiting for more than 10 minutes and then given an inflated amount it was better to do it online! Not sure why they couldn’t just have handled it locally since this was a last minute kind of thing We then went to check in and the process was fairly easy We got to our room and it was clean and what we needed

There were only 2 bath towels there and I needed to just for myself so we needed an extra one and there were 2 maids on the floor so I asked if we could have an extra bath towel and both of them told me that I had to call the front desk I then called the front desk and they told me that they didn’t have any So I asked that when they get one, could they send one up? That never happened! My husband ended up asking another maid that he found and got one How hard can it really be to just get an extra bath towel? Check out was quick and easy, but the staff was not overly friendly So the experience was okay, but nothing spectacular or welcoming At no time did we feel valued or appreciated We got a clean, safe room, but not great service

Brian B.

The staff at this location is very friendly and professional Also, the rooms were clean and the property is in good shape I was disappointed with the check-in process

I was given an upgrade to a suite by Hilton Honors during the mobile check-in room assignment It wasn’t honored by the property and told me it would be about $80 more per night if I wanted to keep it I informed the front desk that the app automatically gave me the complimentary upgrade and they said that a manager denied it That’s really bad customer service Someone should have contacted me to explain what happened prior to my arrival, because it comes across as a bait and switch Also, my original room rate was increased by $16 per night as well However, the front desk manager was very professional and did end up honoring the original booking rate The good news is that this has been the only property I’ve stayed at recently that correctly posts the food & beverage credit Even though I was disappointed with the upgrade process, I’m pleased with the end result

Melissa Walker

One star is too much for this hotel The first thing that happened was our toilet wasn’t working and the water was scalding We couldn’t get cold water out of the tap to take medication

The air conditioner never worked well and that never got resolved The elevators worked off and on and they told us someone from an adjoining state would have to come and work on them, which never happened My daughter reported there was feces in the pool one night When we first got there, the young woman at the desk was not friendly at all We were in town for my mother in laws funeral It was very upsetting that they charged so much for what was AT BEST a decent Motel 6 The people we complained to gave no reassurances that anything would change or be resolved We will never again stay at any hotel affiliated with the Hilton brand It is clear that customer service is not on Hilton’s list of priorities I’m not sure what is, except maybe Paris’ 615 million dollar wedding The corporation could have spent even a portion of that on bringing their facilities up to date and functional, and on training employees in customer service and paying them a decent wage

We didn’t even stay The front desk people are extremely rude Our room wasn’t ready and they kept trying to give our money back because we booked the room early in advance at a lower rate

When we got there she gave us a key to “view” the room prior to check in This place is NASTY Beyond nasty The non smoking room was straight up smoked in The floor was sticky and had nasty black goo on it The blankets were wrinkled and stained along with tiny flat nasty pillows The photos are extremely misleading Stay somewhere else Run away from this dump

Liz McLaughlin

It’s a place to crash for the night No Continental breakfast, just coffee and juiceHad two rooms

One had broken lock on door The lady that checked us in was very nice and helpful The guy there in the morning is not very helpful, rude and very unfriendly There is a target next door and restaurants, so location is ok Cleanliness is what u would expect for the price The unfriendly morning employee is what made score so low And no continental breakfast as advertised on site

Teresa Bass

It was so weird We got there at 9pm The front desk was closed

The ‘front desk’ person talked to us through a small box at a window (like a gas station) He wrote down our name, etc on a piece of paper and honestly he looked scared, or maybe he was just unsure of what he was doing The area felt very sketchy The room was clean, but the sheets were so thin you could see through them and they didn’t stay on the bed We won’t be staying at an Econo Lodge again, unless like this situation, it was absolutely the only option

Stopped here for the night with my family as they had a room that could accommodate a family of 6 The room was clean and well kept The only complaint I have is that they only provide 3 towels even after requesting more

We also had to ask for the bedding for the pull out couchThe free breakfast was pleasant with options for everyone Coffee was typically empty, but I think that was due to the volume of coffee drinkers

Jennifer Hughart

We stay at alot of hotels The only complaint I have here are the pillows But pillows are always a complaint from me

This is the first hotel in a long time that the temperature was consistent the whole night, which made for a comfortable night’s sleep The room was clean and the water pressure in the shower was wonderful The staff were friendly We would definitely stay here again if in the areaFor those of you that need itthey have charging stations for your electric cars

Tim Dixon

It was nice and clean, the breakfast was great also I think they thought I could not afford a room when I came in wearing dirty clothes but I’m not bothered by that I work and get dirty sometimes because I am a Ships Engineer

So all on board systems of a live on ship I may address at any time It may be radar or latrine I never know My company pays for the room anyway

Last night around 8 pm two acquaintances of mine desperately needed a room on their long journey, at a very short notice The lobby attendant who answered the phone (Vanessa) was absolutely amazing She got us a room on such very short notice and was so professional and polite

Vanessa answered every question I could possibly have about our stay at the quality inn This was the by far the best experience I’ve ever had at any hotel I’ve ever been to and I just want to say thank you Vanessa for being so wonderful in our time of needSincerely Matthew H

This should be a no star rating but I had to put something to move on What a dreadful experience We arrived when it was late and we were exhausted from a very long drive from Toronto

The room was a nightmare, very dirty, toilet was brown and yellow grime, bathroom stunk and bathtub was slimy The chair in the room had vomit on it and was all torn up I took photos Carpet stunkneed I say more We were too tired to complain so we fell asleep only to be alarmed by loud knocking on our door We peeked and did not know the person but the knocking became louder and persistent We opened the door and a man said his friends were staying here and he wanted in We closed the door and he was still knocking We finally woke by 5 am and got set to leave We went to the office and complained They told us there was nothing they could do but they were aware of the man knocking on doors during the night They advised us to contact head office We have stayed at many Quality Inns before and that’s why we bypassed all the other hotels and went to Quality DO NO RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE

Doris Lemmon

It’s a quality in in I know what to expect However this facility was really poor Holes and carpet, bare light on wall exposed without a globe, the drain in the sink could not be used or it would fall straight down and seal it all off, peeling paint in the shower, clogged shower head, Air conditioner cover was on the floor before, and the television said no service

Front desk was very helpful in fixing the television but in the morning when we tried to turn it on we got the same no service The doors in the bathroom and going outside closed on their own locking me out at one point
