Make sure to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking any resort They compare countless hotel sites and usually will have rates much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the most well known in the area

I have been coming here for years If you choose this place you for sure won’t regret itWe had an unexpected stay in Charlotte due to a cancelled flight (2 days in a row) The service we received was exceptional – given that our flights were a nightmare, the service we received at the Embassy Suites was the silver lining of our trip Patrice and the general manager (I’m sorry I can’t remember your name!) were so genuine and kind with helping us navigate our unexpected second night at what we thought was a sold out hotel The breakfast was included with the stay – it was a buffet style with the option of made-to-order eggs The staff during breakfast were also great The hotel in general is beautiful and generally well kept It’s not often you find a nice hotel with outstanding service I hope to stay again one day

A great hotel experience The room was super clean, comfortable & fresh The bar & restaurant is inviting, spacious & well-appointed

The staff was amiable, highly professional & efficient The location is within walking distance of almost all the downtown attractions The amenities advertised included parking, yet failed to disclose the fee of $30 per night Considering everything, I have overlooked that part

Marlo Palmer

Great hotel in the perfect area Close to a lot of great restaurants and entertainment Room was very spacious and had a great view

I enjoyed the free breakfast every morning It was quite good for the standard hotel breakfast Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly and attentive They even offer a free cocktails hour from 5 to 6:30 The only downfall is they only offer valet at $35 hours a day and that can ad up depending on your stay but overall I would hight recommend staying here We definitely will return on our next visit to Charlotte

I don’t usually give full 5 star reviews However, this hotel deserves every single one Great location in the city

Rooms were super clean The bedding and bed were like sleeping on clouds The pillows ALMOST went home with meThe service absolutely 100% perfect We knew we would have a super late check-in (as we had a 55hr drive from home and couldn’t leave until after 11pm) and they accommodated us The wonderful young lady, Sherry, who checked us in, was nothing less than the epitome of customer service I can’t praise her enough! In the mornings there is a yummy breakfast buffet Very well stocked and amazing employees in there as well I believe the one lady may have been Lisa She was super sweet and very engagingI wouldn’t trade my stay there for anything else!

Me & 3 friends Visited a weekend in July and the manager & staff made our stay very memorable It was a friends birthday and I requested the room to be decorated from the ambassador elite program The ambassador line responded to me that the hotel wouldn’t be able to because they didn’t do things of that nature

Upon our arrival and to my surprise the room is decorated from the door to the living area to the bed The manager even provided a gift and chocolate strawberries and champagne It was beautiful and unforgettable I was surprised as much as the birthday girl Not having to go to the store and get the bday girl out of the room to decorate, after driving 4 hours to the hotel and to be on vacation was definitely convenient and very much appreciated They also accommodated us in a room switch among other things to make our stay the best possible I highly recommend this hotel if staying in Charlotte The rooms and amenities are great which a lot of hotels have but the wonderful staff are hard to come by Thank you again for making our weekend stay one to remember!Sn: I made videos but didn’t know I wouldn’t be able to upload them

Wow!! I don’t have enough words to say about how wonderful this hotel was and their staff! We drove 10 hours overnight to charlotte for a convention The hotel we were originally supposed to stay in (la meridian) didn’t have a room for us when we showed up They sold it because we checked in late

They royally screwed up So we walked a block down to the Marriott and were welcomed with open arms! They went above and beyond to accommodate us Gave us a discount on our room for our troubles when they absolutely did not have to We were blown away by how nice they were The rooms surprised us as well So clean, a balcony (which the other hotel did not have) and spacious bathroom The hotel was so quiet My husband and I both said multiple times that we slept so great which never happens when we stay anywhere We just want to say thank you!!!!!!! We will always check Marriott hotels first when we travel now You guys made this vacation wonderful for us

I checked in here as my flight was delayed by 24 hours There was no catering facilities or anything nearby All that was available was a pizza delivery or chips and snacks from the lobby

Rooms were spacious and very clean All the team were very helpful and friendly Unfortunately the walls are paper thin I could hear the man next door snoring so loudly and talking the next morning I was too tired to request a room change Good value for money too

Always “Call Me Effy” Effy

We had a Nice stay There’s an outdoor Pool and Rooms wBalconies that overlook the pool area Room was spacious, Big TV, big beds, and a nice size Bathroom

It was very clean ONLY downside isIDK what happen to the continental breakfast we walked thru just to see what they had but Only the little restaurant was open This was a Lovely stay and super convenient to EVERYTHING!! perfect location

Andy

Great little hotel – hidden gem in Southpark They’ve updated the exterior and interior to give it a bit of an updated facelift The interior pool area and courtyard is perfect

Great little grass areas for chilling, a fire pit, lots of tables with umbrellas, and a great pool with lots of lounge chairs I almost hate to leave this review, because it’s such a chill spot and I don’t want to share it with anyone! Lol We live in Charlotte, but it’s one of our favorite staycation hotels Get a first floor room with a patio and a walkout to the pool and courtyard

We booked a King room and it was a very big room but it smelled musty and felt wet We cranked the AC to help and after a while it did but we had to the same thing each day when returning to the room after being out all dayThe shower didn’t drain so we were in standing in water while showering

And we had zero room service We had to go get fresh towels and tpIt was disappointing because we booked the hotel based on the reviews and ratings of othersNow, the location was great and I thought the breakfast offered enough to give you a good start and the attendants kept it stocked And the front staff were nice So, some positives but still the stay fell below our expectations

My husband, my dog, and myself stayed here for 3 days/2 nights Although we did not utilize the pool it looked clean and smelled like the ocean The elevators did not smell bad like in most places, the hallways were very clean

The room was immaculate well stocked, and in great condition The bed was the bed was a little on the harder side but that is just a matter of my preference The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, the restaurant was clean The exterior was clean We had no issues with any of the staff while we were there Our dog felt welcomed and comfortable All-in-all a wonderful experience and I would definitely visit again

Horrible! Writing a very honest review to warn people of the state of this hotel When booking I did not get an accurate feel of how bad things are here or I would’ve made sure to avoid this hotel I was very close to leaving and finding better accommodations which is a 1st and I have stayed at various star hotels

Pro- Excellent locationCons- Cleanliness, amenities, air quality on some floors, but 1st and foremost Cleanliness! Our 1st room was so dirty that it seemed like all they did was change the sheets The floors were sticky and nothing was cleaned They did not supply enough towels for our 4 guests and when asked we never received any new ones Thankfully my children were visiting with family at another hotel for a couple of days so we didn’t have to keep begging for common items For this price they should be ashamed to even welcome guests into this place Of course there is a shortage of staff (everywhere) but if you cannot even clean the rooms properly they should limit guests to the staff available Our 2nd room was at least acceptable enough for us to finish off our stay without leaving We considered the pool when booking but would not dare step foot in there The water did not look clean and there was a sock that I’m sure will still be there once we check outThe icing on the cake was housekeeping knocking on the door at 9am on checkout day For this price please book somewhere else unless the location is all you are worried about

Chrisopigi Maggiorou

It was very good when I was there 7 years ago This year I went again, I believe it is very expensive for what they giveThe food it was good

Many closed area at the inside garden area, it was open only the bar area Very good tips the security at the parking lot at night time Very good the girl with the long black hair at the bar at night shift

Susan McRorie

Very friendly and helpful We were able to find accommodations that were handicap accessible Free breakfast that included eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, bagels, etc

very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms We really enjoyed our stay My only complaint was that they do need more carts, there were only 3 and they always seemed to be in use Had a problem with a truck parking in a handicap spot that had no tag or placard in sight but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault

Darlene Talton

Enjoyed our overnight stay Rooms were excellent and very clean Got great service at check in

He was helpful when we ask for nice restaurants to eat dinner at He even printed us a list of restaurants in areaThe hotel breakfast was enjoyable and goodWould definitely stay here again

Troy Newman

Room service is very spotty Sign says you can get your room cleaned on request However we requested it several days and got service once in a 6 day stay

Had to go to desk for fresh towels when neededBreakfast was fair but they close it up at 10am period Regardless of people in line 2 different days arrived at 945a and food was essentially out flipped the switch

Brittany –

The lobby and restaurant were super clean, nice, staff was very friendly and helpful All rooms are accessible only by the elevator that requires your room card to access The room smelled clean, and was pretty clean (not as Sparkling as I expected with the lobby, but not dirty)

Bed was comfy but the blankets were kinda thin and the heat took a while to warm upBe aware this is located on a busy street and you can definitely hear when people are revving the engine and speeding, so if that makes it hard for you to sleep, maybe see if they have ear plugs?)

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙᴏʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking your stay They compare hundreds of booking web sites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the most well known in the area

I have been staying here for years If you decide to stay here you definitely won’t be disappointedThe staff is super friendly and fun The room was clean – pretty typical hotel room This hotel is near a lot of food/bad options and is great if you are in town for a nearby event I did not take advantage of room service and cannot speak to the food but everything else is an A+

Iommed Gotjis

I came to Charlotte with a 96 year old It took him 20 minutes to get from the parking garage to the lobby I don’t think a single brain cell was spent designing this hotel’s parking area

How the heck is my companion supposed to get from his car to his rooms without a heart attack? The farce then got even better $22 a day to park in a garage you have to walk a quarter mile to reach And get this: we went downstairs and asked where breakfast was Lobby staff pointed us to a room and we sat down and ate at the buffet They then billed the two of us $43 Are you kidding me? For the price we paid for the room—which I would describe as thoroughly average— we absolutely shouldn’t be paying for both parking AND breakfast, at ludicrous prices The one good thing about this hotel was supposed to be the location, but if you’re old or otherwise handicapped then the parking garage gets a 0/10 on locationJust ridiculous

I have reasonable hotel standards, but slow draining tubs and broken air conditioners just irritate me at a place that should be this nice These massive hotel corporations are great at keeping up appearances and providing mediocre service veiled by paint and bedspreads If the location were different, I’d say this is over-priced

Given its location I’ll give it a pass, but this could ultimately be summed-up as a stereotypical over-priced cookie cutter interstate-side shoebox hotel Perfect to get a good night’s rest and get on with your lifeI don’t want a refund or any reciprocation My only ask is that they fix the A/C and treat their employees fairly Staff deserve fair treatment and enough help too I have deep respect for hospitality and customer facing workers

Angie Stone

The check-in process was absolutely amazing and painless Our room was extremely clean and we really enjoyed the bottled water and treats that were prepared for us Was great to have a hair dryer and a Keurig with coffee pods in the room

Oh and a refrigerator is a must! But I will say do your check in before you enter that parking garage! You must have your room key in order to proceed past the drop gate!

Timothy Ingram

This location is prime! It’s really close to the entertainment venues, has front door access to the light rail system and is really nice inside the structure The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and the rooms are spacious and modern to add to the experience As with most Hilton properties this location has everything you need or expect from a DoubleTree and a destination lodging location

Parking is located next door in a garage, the only drawback is there is not connection within the building, you have to walk outside to get back and forth Otherwise, a top lodging recommendation for this area! Enjoy your stay

Clean, comfortable hotel overall The configuration of the room with the separate shower and toilet areas was great for multiple people The fan in our room was incredibly loud, even on low, and that made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep

There didn’t seem to be AC in the halls or elevators, making them very uncomfortable The breakfast was decent

Douglas Lambert

This Marriott property was just up the road from where I needed to be so location was excellent plus I got my Marriott points and status perks along with itThere are many nice restaurants close to this location and I even had to pick up a prescription so the Walgreens down the street was great as wellThe staff were very attentive and generousThis hotels checks off all the boxes and may I also add that the beds slept amazingly well which is becoming harder to find for some reasonI will stay here again for business

An awesome experience Totally automatic check in The room was beautiful, roomy and most of all comfortable and clean

The front desk service is first rate Very professional and even followed up with our concerns concerning breakfast when we got homeIf you need an extended visit, you can’t do better for the value than this motel

Ro Lo

I had an excellent experience, Brooke greeted us and was so sweet and helpful, the kitchen staff were also incredible helpful and kind The room was very big and clean, I traveled with my 3 kids and husband and we were very comfortable the only thing I wish they had was another dresser, and more hangers in the closet, and a broom or vacuum but that’s me being picky because I had so much stuff! But it was so great! Thank you for making our trip so great!

Michael Wall

This hotel was excellent! I will be checking out this morning after staying for a rough 10 day stay while my mom was at Atrium Health Pineville getting open heart surgery The staff at Homewood Suites made my stay infinitely easier than it would have been as they were so nice, made sure I had everything I needed, and even asked about my mom every day The food was excellent and the hotel was great! I would like to particularly give thanks to Celeste, Tyler, and Vivian for how great they were to me

They were excellent and I highly recommend this hotel if you’re staying in the area

I travel for work and have stayed at several extended stays This is one of the better ones, friendly helpful staff The staff is always going out of their way to assist in any issues I have even going so far as to help me chase down my puppy who had escaped the car when I was not looking

Rooms are large, spacious, and clean Great location with any amenity you could think of within a five minute drive

C Dun

So pool wasnt open Even though there wasn’t anything wrong with it When I 1st walked into the hotel they didn’t have my room ready The room they did get ready was halfway cleaned I’m pretty sure there was blood on the couch

Plus the staff acts like they’re scared of Order distrust black people, when most of their customers are black people How does that even work? The service here is not only lacking but also inconvenient ended up leaving early You can hear people walking above you loudly you loudly so sleep is out of the question I’m going to be honest with you I absolutely hated it here

The room was huge, but the couch had a stain, the bathroom needed updating bad, the door handle was hard to open and we struggled to get into our room, no coffee maker in our room but lots of coffee pods, the staff was friendly and the lobby was nice I’m glad they had free parking and the location was convenient Breakfast was okay not the worst I’ve had at a hotel

This hotel needs lots of updating though No fans in the bathroom and the shower had cracks in the tile

S Duncan

The only good thing I can say about this place is the fact the young man who was working when I checked in was exceptional (Maurice)The place is dated, the outdoor lighting does not work, there was no hot water in the sinks, until it ran for approximately 20 minutes, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable, parking is very limited and tight, the exterior doors that are supposed to lock after dark were not locked, mold on bathroom ceiling, toilet seat looked like it had been melted, corner molding falling off, dirty ceiling from vent, shampoo and soap dispensers empty, garbage disposal smelled, and the hallways smelled bad My company paid for the room, but I do not wish to stay there again

It reminded me of Days Inn quality

Angela Jackson

Staying here was going well until there was a fire Sunday morning I was down stairs having breakfast and my sister was in the room She said the smoke alarm was going off

But the alarm never went off downstairs That was a red flag to me not to mention None of the staff had no training or direction on what was supposed to be taking place People was just waking in and out of the building even before the fire department cleared the building Just very concerning to me because I know Policies and procedures You guys may want to update this before something terrible happens

We stay at Marriotts about 20x per year and now thinking of looking elsewhere Marriott cutting cost so much that the bath area pictured was like a Motel 6! King bed was comfortable but tiny sink area suitable for only 1 person/room and awful glaring industrial lighting No way for a female traveler to put on makeup

There was a long mirror on opposite wall but lighting just as bad Coffee maker also didn’t work and bistro offerings have gone downhill – microwaved mush

Brian Mangual

We had a terrible stay here We found a cockroach on our bed and despite notifying the staff we have still not received our refund 3 weeks later The night we stayed here the hotel was not even 1/4 booked and the staff roomed us on the parking lot side facing a gas station in lieu of the much quieter back side

I do not recommend this hotel because they clearly don’t know what they’re doing and have a cockroach problem If I could post a picture I would but stay away from this one

They were excellent This review is not for them The room was your typical hotel room The bed was awful Hard as a rock My husband even asked me at midnight if we wanted to go home The pillows were feather pillows that withered away to nothing when you laid your head on them I’m going to have to rerun to the spa after laying on that rock all night I then tried to use a gift card for portion of our stay After running the card 6 times I was told they couldn’t get it to go through Didn’t bother to call for help to find out why Come to find out my card was charged $1 every time they ran it! For the money I paid this was an awful stay I’ve stayed at hotels that cost way less and had a better experience Not the luxurious stay I was hoping for DisappointedWas also not impressed with the indoor pool and hot tub area Needs a major upgradeCould hear every noise that was made in the hallwayConstruction was the greatest view 👌👌Nothing luxury about this luxury hotel go spend your money somewhere better

I came here for an event and stayed one night When we arrived, and very nice porter took care of everything and took us to our room Rooms were very clean, as well as the overall hotel

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful The view was nice, and the hotel is actively working on making it even better with upgrades The price to performance is quite decent I recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere luxurious to stay!

Worst hotel experience of my life Came down here for a couples vacation planned with the normal activities: sitting by the pool, spa, room service, etc

We were excited to enjoy the full resort experience; boy were we disappointed We originally planned to stay for 3 nights but checked out a day early because the experience was so bad Even checking out required an hour long argument with the manager Let me start from the beginning The room we paid extra for with “views of the golf course” was a construction site No mention of this on the website and certainly not reflected in the nightly rate It was dirty, the bed was hard, the balcony had a colony of roaches living on it Called for pillows at 4pm and never received them We were not notified that housekeeping was by request only and even when we requested it, they never came 20% gratuity included because they know the service is terrible Room service was same quality as a Denny’s When we checked out, the bellboy never showed up after 40 minutes of waiting Only redeeming part of this trip is that the spa experience was great and the staff there were quite nice and talented Everything about staying at the hotel was a nightmare and I will not be staying at another Marriott if this is their definition of ‘luxury’

We were in town for a Hornets game and the Residence Inn was a great place to stay! It was just a quick walk across the street to get to the Spectrum center, which was nice in the cold Our room was clean and comfortable and the kitchen setup gave us flexibility for prepping our own food Also the hotel restaurant/bar was a great spot for a drink and food after the game

Last minute we had to bring our two small dogs and we were pleased with the setup they had for an easy to access outdoor area (on the 8th floor) We had one issue with our final bill which was quickly resolved – great customer service is always appreciated!

The customer service was excellent Check in is on the 14th floor which was an interesting experience, but the desk rep made us feel like family The room was very clean; the bed was very comfortable; the shower had excellent hot water pressure; overall no complaints with this hotel

Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but these days (COVID) I guess a simple continental breakfast is to be expected BEST OF ALL, this hotel is DIRECTLY across the street from the Spectrum Center–we could look out the window and see when they were starting to let in the crowds This was great for our trip since we were there for the New Edition concert I would absolutely stay at this hotel again in the future

During check-in the receptionist Kim was extremely shady She said she couldn’t find our booking and told us to contact customer service We then proceeded to step away to call customer service but decided otherwise and returned without speaking with anyone from customer service

When we got back she said she found the booking while she was assisting another guest The delay in check in caused us to miss a reservation we had While checking in she stressed to us the fact that it was a non smoking hotel but didn’t stress nor mention that to the previous guest This took away from the overall experience during our stay Soap dispenser was also out Other than this everything was good

Common areas and room furniture are nice, modern, and clean Staff are really helpful and I appreciated that they were flexible about late checkout Not all amenities were open and the hotel seemed understaffed; beds could be comfier, and the hallways could stand to be updated

The snack area in the lobby was nice, though Overall, not at all a bad place to stay!

When we checked in, we were told the bistro had a complimentary breakfast in the morning Guess that was just a lie? The only options available were $9 breakfast sandwiches that did not look appetizing The hallways of this hotel smell like burnt feet

The shower in the room smelled of mold and was not ventilated at all Overall, the whole place has a musty feeling that is not welcoming The sheets were like construction paper Unlikely that we stay here ever again Beware!

Room was clean and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience We went downstairs for breakfast and had the absolute best time chatting with Ms/Mrs Roshella at the breakfast bar She provided exceptional customer service and made sure we had everything we needed

She definitely deserves a bonus 🤗 I really enjoyed my stay

Here now and was supposed to be staying next weekend Canceling and will never book this location on our frequent trips to the area Found whole Oreos on the floor, candy behind pillow on chair, TV won’t turn off (had to unplug it), bathroom surfaces are sticky, shower dirty, table dirty, scratched up pans, dishes not put away, stained coffee pot

Old, dirty, unprofessional staff to top it off No manger on site Stay elsewhere!!! We are not picky travelers, and travel often, but this is not anywhere near Marriott standards! So disappointing!

The front desk staff during the day was the worst I’ve ever come across Literally not even a smile upon arrival, not from anyone including the manager The food was unpalatable

The reservation system online doesn’t sync with the reservation system in this hotel I was forced to leave and go to a Hilton The only polite front office staff was the gentleman who works in the evening He’s the only reason the hotel received 2 stars

Overall the hotel is fairly new and in a good quiet area The cleanliness could be better If the shower isn’t cleaned often, it will deteriorate over time

This was my first time using the bonvoy marriott app and the keyless option took a while to update There’s an option to put in service request which can be confusing because you have to go get the items you are requesting Other than that, my stay was decent I carry shower shoes (flip flops) because hotel shower/tubs aren’t always sanitized Someone had a key to my husband’s and I room while we were sleeping I woke up because I heard them trying to get in I called down stairs and the manager apologized, and that was it
