Overall nice place for an extended stay hotel The room is large and spacious with a full fridge and cooking area I travel often for work and usually stay at the Holiday Inn but this was a nice change

My only criticism is this has more of an apartment building feel to it with it being an extended stay The hotel is situated through another parking lot which is not hard to get to and kinda nice as it’s more secluded then most Overall the staff is extremely friendly and they ensure you have a good stay If they had a bar and pool on site it would be perfect!

Decent hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds The people above us sounded like they were wrestling with elephants until late into the evening but that’s not the hotel’s fault When I checked in, the person at the desk asked me if I wanted the 1st, 2nd, or 4th floor which has never happened to me before but I thought it was nice

I said I’d like the 1st floor as I figured it would be less work to not have to use the elevator but next time I’ll always choose the top floor to avoid listening to people who don’t know how to walk without sounding like they are about to come through the ceiling and land on you Lesson learnedStaff was very friendly and the price was good I would stay here again Nothing dance but we were just passing through so we didn’t need fancy

We came up to Marquette for a wedding and started calling around to find hotels that were avaliable After calling two other hotels that were full we located my place hotel and they had rooms avaliable While on the phone we were patched through to a woman who barely spoke English

She was abrupt but not really rude, as of yet Upon advising her that the $250 a room was ok she said that she just had to add up the fees and taxes When she added it up it was almost $400 When asked why it was so expensive she could not, or would not answer the question she just said fees From what a could gather from her, they charged us approximately $130 for “cleaning fees” I asked her if there was anyway she could discount the room This is about the time she raised her voice on the phone and just repeating that I needed to say “yes” to these fees After a short time going back and forth over price, I finally broke down and decided to pay the $400 because we needed the room She was again very abrupt and quite honestly I was ready to get off the phoneOnce arriving the hotel staff that was very nice were having computer issues which caused us to have to wait for an extended period of time in the lobbyOnce getting to the room it first appeared to be a decent hotel Until going into the bathroom where there was toilet paper and a couple wrappers in the trash We also noticed a bar of soap already unwrapped It also appeared the soap was already used So we threw that away immediately in the trash with the toilet paper that was wodded up in there alreadyLastly throughout the night there were several drones and other noises that made it difficult to sleep even though it was about two in the morningUltimately, I will never stay in a My Place hotel again This the most I have ever spent on a room for just a single night and it is by far one of the worst ones I have ever been in

I really enjoyed my stay at Superior Stay Hotel My check in was efficient and friendly The room was super clean and updated

I had a great night’s sleep due to a comfy mattress I didn’t get to check out breakfast in the morning Location is excellent too! Close to the lake and the University and restaurants and bars Honestly, you can’t go wrong staying here I will definitely make it my number one pick next time I come to the Marquette area!

Good Vibez Garage

A really nice (what I assume to be) independent hotel in Marquette Not overly flashy but clean and modern I was impressed with the preformed concrete structure they renovated

Very good deal for the price, and the front staff and breakfast staff were attentive LOVED the breakfast selection of drinks and fresh pastriesMy only complaints were that the elevator was broken, and the heat pump in the room made a lot of clicking noise and cycled often I was disappointed it did not have a constant fan setting Still, great bang for the buck I hope they keep it up

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel The rooms were spacious and comfortable The staff worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed

There was complimentary continental breakfast every morning including individually packaged pastries from a local shop which were deliciousWhen we checked in we were given several recommendations about what to do in the area and when we mentioned we had brought bikes with us, we were shown a shed outside that was built just to house bikes The shed was locked and had several security cameras It was very nice to be able to put our bikes in a secure place for the weekend The staff clearly take great pride in the hotel and their city and wants guests to have a great time exploring

Can’t complain this has been my go to for several years now as I travel often for work The staff is always friendly and the rooms are always clean and well taken care of They recently went through a remodel so everything is fresh

I would say overall this is a great place to stay The only thing I would say may be a factor is several business travelers stay on site rather then kids and families The pool area is nice and large and clean The restaurant is great excellent staff and really good food

Jennifer Daley

Room was beautiful, bed was heaven after such a long driving dayI took one star only because the food was soaked in salt, my chicken wrap was excellent the fries were drenched in a salt seasonings which made them inedible, burger was cooked perfect but no seasonings on it at all again fries were drenched in salt seasonings, they need to ease up on the salt and add some seasonings to the burgersThe fact they brought the food to the room was AWESOME!WILL stay again!!

Donovan Awhonopay

Nice little hotel tucked away from the road! Decided to stay here while I was on my way back to Minnesota Rooms were clean and also smelled clean!! Beds were comfy and so were the pillows! Decent size TV! Had a pretty decent selection for breakfast which was very nice! I guess the only complaint I could mention is the bathroom was extremely small! Other than that it was a great experience overall and I’d recommend it for a good nights rest!

If you get a second floor room be aware there is no elevator so only stairs and some are steep but good railings The staff very kind and friendly and available to assist There is twenty four hour available coffee and tea in lobby which is nice

The place very old somewhat run down If you really like affordability it’s a good choice but nothing really spectacular about the place could use some updating and a few more amenities The pool room is very small

Emily Parish

DANICA and JODI are the best, very great employees I stayed the first weekend in June, Was so happy and pleased with my stay for my birthday, they were so pleasant even with my wild 3 year old Possibly moving in the area so this has been such a great place to stay well I’m up there researching

Very well runned establishment, couldn’t say enough, good things Will definitely be coming back soon🙏🙂

Melissa Juntunen

Had a 2 queen room, 1 bed was a lot more comfortable (softer) than the other Fridge, microwave in room, large TV Could hear some noise from the hall but minimal

Bathroom was pretty small but it was clean Front desk staff was very helpful and nice They also offered me a reduced stay price due to a family member being in the hospital here Breakfast was traditional continental hotel food, the breakfast attendants kept everything filled Stayed here after the rain/ice storm and they did not salt the sidewalks or sand them Main parking lot is concave so very icy and also not salted or sanded, very difficult to walk around Also, no guest laundry facilities but room was clean and so was the breakfast area I did not check out the pool

Just passing through and needed a room for the night Would I stay here again? Yes I would! It’s on m41 beside a quiet neighborhood Light traffic noise, but on a Saturday night was not distracting for this light sleeper

The place is dated but very comfortable if your not looking for a fancy place I preferred this place over a few chain hotel/motels I’ve stayed at paying a higher price In room coffee a plus! Clean towels and bedding, zero foul odors Windows you could actually open Wi-Fi, cable TV w/wall mounted flat screen, microwave, refrigerator A real table with 2 chairs to sit at for eating a meal Easy access plugs by beds for changing your electronic devices Management friendly

Brand new hotel Great amenities The lighting setup is a bit odd in some of the rooms

There is a master switch that controls everything – including the bathroom lights – in the main part of the room Otherwise it was greatFabulous showersDecent breakfast (not the best but alright)Location with minimal traffic but still easily walkable to downtownAdded a couple pics of the walking trails and nearby beach

Ann Smith

Wonderful hotel and staff Rooms were clean and spacious Free breakfast is always a plus

It was well stocked with various breakfast sandwiches as well as the family favorite of making waffles with the malted batterOne thing to note is currently there is construction happening around the hotel and you’ll have to navigate around it

Great hotel with spacious rooms, amazing shower, and a quality breakfast included Courtney at breakfast was great along with the front desk staff including Grant and others Extended stay hotel so you have to request housekeeping but we like it that way

Real kitchen with full fridge and an actual coffee pot Beautiful lobby with common areas for TV to keep you out of the room No pool but a great gym and outdoor recreation Underground heated parking is included so you don’t have to warm up your car or walk on the ice Walking distance to the UPHS Hospital Thanks guys!

The best Hotel of its class I travel for work and this has been the best hospitality I received at a hotel Free hot breakfast with fresh cut fruit daily

Monday thru Wednesday for a Manager Special they provide appetizers and two free drinks per an adult guest Our room was very clean and the hotel is located in a nice area conviently located right next to the new hospital Its also located in the center of everything Marquette has to offer Just a walk from lake superior and beautiful downtown Marquette Not to mention the kindest staff who have went out of their way to accommodate all my needs With a special thanks to Kate I highly recommend this hotel rather it’s for leisure, work, or extended stays

Tiffany Balsitis

We enjoyed a great stay here Upon check in, Grant, the gentleman at the front desk was polite and accommodating We mentioned having teenagers with us and he upgraded our room so they had more space

apparently I had done our reservations incorrectly Our room was clean, well kept, and cozy Breakfast and nightly snacks were an awesome added bonus Our showers came stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash which was a nice perk I forgot my blanket I had brought, upon check out the front desk tried to call me, when I didn’t answer a gentleman actually tracked us down to the parking garage to return it My only complaint was the in room coffee wasn’t good, but I can be picky on that so I don’t hold it against the hotelSince some of our kids live in the area, we will be back!!

Hotel is fine Beds were comfortable and the room was clean Pool was warm and hot tub and sauna were nice and hot

Continental breakfast was waffle maker, cereal, muffins etc We had to have our keys reactivated multiple times But we had to check out one day early and we got a refund Hudson’s is the restaurant next door Excellent food!!

Sarah Tyler

This hotel is high quality in every way The staff works very hard to keep the facility nice and help guests even when it’s very busy There are a lot of families here because of the large rooms and fantastic pool

My kids (and others staying too) naturally switch to “good manners mode” in response to being in a nice hotel I’ve stayed in many many business and vacation lodgings, and highly recommend this hotel

Jim McCann (Jimb0)

So in the room they are clean and the staff has done a good job on supplying soaps, etc Also the 1st time I had a room with the right amount of towels for guests The low rating on the room is the poor design of the AC units and location

Also they are broken and need to be replaced I did a video of how they come in and go off every 3 seconds It’s hard to sleep The breakfast staff is fantastic but the food is sub par powered eggs and mushy sausage So don’t think you are going to get a filling breakfast It is nice it just needs a little work The room has a nice big fridge and microwave Beds seem smaller than they should be Not queens more like double twins The pillow choice was fair as the pillow is really soft

Gregory Kratochvil

I originally booked a super king suite and saying that the hotel is pet friendly that is an absolute must for me Upon arrival I learn that the “hotel” doesn’t accept pets in their suites and they put us in a “standard” room and we somehow end up paying the same price At first I was okay with this since our room had an direct entry to the pool

Well low and behold I also learned that the rooms by the pool area generate extra heat and also have no air conditioning and no exterior light to the outside world as well When I asked for a fan I got a reply of “we don’t have any” The staff is super friendly but also super incompetent and doesn’t know how to run a hotel or motel The restaurant man at dinner was extremely rude Every time we would order a drink or food the man would say “whoa, I can only do one thing at a time” and kept on saying this throughout the night which made us felt really awkward since that’s his job I proposed to my girlfriend this weekend and it was supposed to be extremely special but it was completely and utterly ruined by the experience of this place This is just a run down motel that doesn’t even clean their rooms We found a half eaten pretzel 🥨 underneath our bed with crumbs and the wrapper still there, telling us that they don’t clean the room restaurant sever/bar tender was extremely rude when asked for a little side of mayo he replied (you should’ve asked for that when you ordered), We just want our money back for the special weekend that we got ripped off for We paid $343 a night and honestly with the extremely poor cleanliness, inconvenience, windowless, no continental breakfast, no air conditioning, no fan, extremely rude restaurant staff, loud obnoxious people in the pool we feel like it’s worth more in the $58 to $79 a nightI’M NEVER STAYING HERE EVER AGAIN AND I HIGH RECOMMEND THAT NO ONE ELSE DOES EITHER

Rebecca Guldi

If we could give zero stars we absolutely would Never again will we stay here Made reservations didn’t get the room we reserved

Room was not clean This place is nothing but a party pad for kids, teenagers and adults Pool room floor was very slick almost fell a time or two just walking on it No coffee in the morning in the lobby Very outdated We’ve been to many hotels in many months and this is by far the worst I’ve ever been to Most definitely do not recommend unless you like to pay a mint for a party pad

Austin W

Very poor accommodations for any aspect other than walking distance to places downtown; which comes with it’s downsides as well There is a warming center across the street, so if you end up staying here I highly recommend you close your windows at night unless you enjoy listening to crackheads scream at each other The facilities themselves are quite poor; severely out of date, in need of repair, and generally dirty

The staff is at least friendly, but unfortunately there were some issues with reservations and other errors made by the staff The restaurant and bar is very pricey for the condition of the hotel Breakfast is not complimentary, but it is the least overpriced meal It was just okOverall, regardless if you are in Marquette to visit your child at the school, go to the breweries, or enjoy the stunning beauty of the surrounding area, I recommend you find a place to stay outside of town if you can afford it
