This was a really nice place to stay It’s about an easy mile walk from the bustle of downtown The hotel is near the whale sculpture which is a marvel to look at
The rooms are cozy, and outfitted with everything one would need The front desk staff are friendly and helpful they treat you like you’re family I’ll stay there again, for sure, if or when I ever get back to Juneau
Caitlin Seals Schwanke
We were in town super early, way before check-in, and just asked how soon our room might be available in case we might be able to drop things off and shower They were full, but the young lady at the front desk helpfully checked and told us the current occupants of our room were scheduled on a shuttle and offered to call us when the room was ready This was above and beyond service and we really appreciated it!The room was neat and clean and had great amenities
It’s not “fancy,” but everything was very nice and I can’t think of anything to complain about! We would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others!
Eric “Castronaut”
The location is incredible right on the water andimmediately proximate to a really pretty board walk I loved how the staff left a bouquet of flowers for my stay on the kitchen counter I appreciated the FULL kitchen with oven, stove, full size fridge, all necessary pots, pans and plate wear
I also really enjoyed the quality workstation I was able to remote out of in my room, and the quality WiFi access I was surprised how little the sounds transmitted through the walls, windows, and doors Room 1428 and 1430 are ideal with direct views of the harbor and mountains

The Silverbow was such a fun place to stay in Juneau! The staff was all so friendly and helpful – we saw Charlie every day we were there and she was always happy to see us and to answer questionsI loved the self serve breakfast and coffee options, they were so convenient when we were off to a slow start in the mornings The hot tub on the roof was also really enjoyable, it was a little too rainy to enjoy the fire pits but we eyed those too because the view from the roof was unbeatable
Honestly I could go on and on, but if you’re looking for a boutique hotel experience the Silverbow delivers fully It’s quirky, comfortable and in a perfect spot in downtown They’re top of my list of reasons to go back to Juneau!

This a hidden gem! We usually stay at chain hotels but happened upon this place They had exactly the type of accommodation we were looking for Don’t let the age of the building fool you
The shower and toiletries (body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion) were all high end And the WiFi was fast! (For those of us who had to do a little work) The staff took care of us like we were family They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs The breakfast was very good We ate it every day and never tired of it! The staff is small but mighty and just nice people We would recommend this place without reservation to any friend or family! Hope you stay there and enjoy it as much as we did!

I cannot recommend this place enough, they literally thought of everything!! It’s quirky and cute and in the best location possible We were able to walk 2 minutes downtown to the bars and restaurants and also right to the transit center to hop on the Snow Bus to Eagle Crest Other highlights included the rooftop hot tub, the memory foam king size mattress, and the 24/7 self-serve snack/breakfast bar
I will definitely be returning someday soon

Great location and great service from desk and shuttle drivers Only complaint is that our king bed’s mattress was well worn — had a telltale hump in the middle while the sides were worn inOh, and if they still want you to order breakfast and have it delivered to your room, be prepared to receive some random stuff
We laughed that off and didn’t mindBut, if your schedule was as ridiculous as ours, this is a great, accommodating place to stay
Pragmatic Pinoy (AK49EDC)
I recently had a working trip to Juneau and while browsing for a decent hotel near the airport with positive reviews, I decided to roll the dice with Best Western As I had to work one night, the room I got was adequate for my need which was a place to wash and rest before and after work The room was clean and the staff was helpful and even left breakfast for me even if I came home from work a bit later
Just an FYI if you opt for breakfast, the only option is for it to be delivered by your door
Rebecca Anderson
Clean, cozy room Conveniently located near airport Wifi worked consistently
Direct TV available Good coffee in roomBathroom is a little too small, but it was very clean Parking is tricky due to the narrow driveway, but it is nice to park next to the roomI would stay here again

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at Maid never comes in and when she does they literally come in and walk out She didn’t even take out my trash and there is food splattered on the walls
The bathroom floor is disgusting and never has been mopped The employees are beyond rude and don’t know anything The restaurant is closed and the maid never brings toilet paper I have to go down to front desk and they only give me one roll I have to ask for two and the employees sigh This place is nasty and it should be shut down I’m disputing my 2 week vacation here and getting all my money back I took many pictures of the nasty dusty old place and I’ll be sending that all to my credit card company Horrible horrible horrible Don’t ever stay here it’s on its last leg anyways! Oh yea the maid never leaves fresh towels so I have to beg the front desk to walk their lazy selves over to the laundry room to grab some He reluctantly gave me some fresh towels after I had to express to him how unhappy I was with the service This lady had to dump her own trash in the closed dumpsters and she said her sheets have not been changed in a month! How disgusting I spent so much money here just to be talked down to and treated like I don’t belong Whoever runs this place is a joke Worst hotel ever

My credit card got charged 3 separate times for my 2 night stay The 3rd time was upon check in and after verbally confirming it was prepaid Of course they reversed the charge but it won’t post back to my card for several days, long after I’ve checked out
They did absolutely nothing about it claiming my banks process is the problem as they are holding back the funds No culpability as to them taking it, again, in the first place Super inconvenient and the place is so on guard vs the homeless that it lacks many friendly amenities Should have just stayed at Greens Creek camp I’ll not be staying here again
Debbie Barnes
We had a suite, which was very unexpected and wonderful I was thinking a room with a couch, well we had a room with a bed, another room with a couch, coffee table, dresser, desk small eating table with chairs and a stocked kitchen(utensils and such) plus a twin bed loft and of course, the bathroom Super nice
They have shuttle service, (call ahead)and the staff were pleasant 😀 thank you See ya next time

It’s adequate The price is for the location of being right downtown Understaffed so no housekeeping unless you request it the night before
No AC in rooms which probably isn’t a problem usually but we were there for 5 70+ degree days in a row, so the room was 80+ degrees at times and we had to run a fan in front of the open window all night And without curtains closed all the way, it never gets dark this time of yearStaff in lobby were friendly

I work for the state of Alaska We have been using this hotel for years and it has never been $322/night That is a ridiculous markup that is based on another downtown hotel closing
The hotel is old and they have done little to improve or update it It’s an OLD hotel I’m particularly irritated that this hotel is charging that much They are well aware they are charging way over normal costs for Juneau Badly done 4 points!

Only gripe i have is that theres no receptionist after hours until 7am, when the voicemail & a sign on the wall says 6am Book in advance!Prompt service, friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, access to a fitness room Wifi service could be better though
Randy Daly
Large comfortable room for extended stay Efficient kitchen and roomy full bathI was there for a meeting and the ability to walk to a competent meeting room was very much appreciated
Conveniently located, I was able to walk to the airport after things finished up
Andrew K
Staff was very professional and the room was clean The linens on the bed kept sliding off, resulting in a pile of sheets in the morning The TV channels with entertainment (not ads) were very limited
The WIFI was goodThis place seems to get a lot of tradesmen; Heavy boots were heard overhead in the AM and evening

Grandma Feather Beds is probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed The rooms are beautiful and have a fantastic jetted soaking tub Plus they have a wonderful breakfast and serve amazing dinner every night!! The staff is excellent most the time
The front desk clerk with reddish brown hair is super friendly and I’m always happy to see herI had one issues once while staying and the hotel manager was quick to correct the situation and make sure everything was fantasticI absolutely adore this place!! ❤️

Grandma’s Feather Bed definitely lives up to most of the positive reviews From the gorgeous location, to the quaint room setup, and the delicious daily breakfasts, this was a truly comfortable experience Some of the staff (namely the women who were working) were especially helpful in making sure both me and my father had enjoyable stays
Several of the staff members were simply indifferent toward guests though Additionally, we visited Juneau during a slight heat wave and our rooms were uncomfortably hot at night The thermostats did nothing to help cool them down I understand many parts of Alaska don’t offer AC due to the climate there, but I was hoping there would be blackout curtains available to help with the summertime light and heatMy favorite part about Grandmas Feather Bed though was the daily complimentary shuttles they offer to the airport (24/7) and to downtown (9 am drop offs and 7:15 pickups, when scheduled ahead), given that the B&B location is about a 15 minute drive from downtown and there is very limited rideshare availability in Juneau Keep in mind that as of June 2022, the dining area is still not open due to COVID precautions, so all meals do need to be scheduled ahead of time and will be delivered to your room
Wesley D
My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon, staying four nights We got their biggest suite, and it was just amazing The staff was pleasant and helpful, the food was worth a trip all in its own, and it was just such a beautiful place to be in such a beautiful part of the world
The fact that we were just down the road from downtown Juneau and the Mendenhall Glacier both was icing on the cake

My flight got rescheduled last minute and I had to spend the night in Juneau Super 8 was conveniently close to the airport and it was also helpful that they provided transportation They were also willing to drive me back to the airport at 430 AM the following day for my check-in
Their place is also just a few feet away from what’s apparently the only McDonald’s in town – and at walking distance from a few other restaurants I asked the customer I spoke with if they were joking about Juneau having one McD’s, but supposedly it’s true Correct me if I’m wrongNo it’s not a fancy 5-star hotel but it’s decent enough if you’re looking for a place that accommodates to one-night layovers nearby the airport
Lawrence R Higley Jr
Our company spends alot of money here for our guests and employees throughout the Summer My wife and I are staying here while we get our boats ready for the season My wife needed to do laundry while here
The machine kept taking quarters but not registering them When she went to the front counter the girl was extremely rude, slammed the quarters on the counter and said nothing It happened again and she insulted my wife The service here is in the toilet It doesn’t matter how much a person spends, the service and quality are the worse I have ever seen

Would not recommend this B&B for long term stay The owner shuts off the heat when she does not have her grandchildren there, or if she does not have any short term B&B guests There were mornings I woke up and it was 50-55 degrees there
It would be different if she had told me she was shutting off the heat in an effort to save heating oil and to let her know if it was too cold, but she never said anything about it I felt like I paid enought that heat should have been part of the dealThere were other minor irritants, but the heat was the main issue
