Simone was the best part of our stay She was extraordinary The front desk staff were great too, especially Steve

However some rooms have been remodeled and some look like they haven’t been looked after for a decade with minimal cleaning Guess which one I was inThe food for our conference was awful Breakfast: muffins and random pastries Nothing else Lunch: hard to describeGo to the bar, ask for Simone, and you’ll have so much fun it won’t matter about the rest

The atmosphere is very nice It is very clean I stayed here 2 nights in a row

The reason I am giving it 3 stars is because I’ve been woken up in the middle of the night both nights I’ve stayed here due to minor inconveniences On the first night the room was set to 62 degrees and I woke up freezing with no comforter Had to adjust the thermostat and ask for an extra blanket from front desk Luckily the thermostat in the room works and they brought me a comforter On the second night, the smoke detector battery in my room was out and woke me upAlso, beware of housekeeping not knocking before entering your room

My girlfriend and I were looking at hotels near the plaza and decided to stay here Hands down this was by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at in the Kansas City area The location is fantastic, rooms were extremely clean, parking/valet service was prompt and ready to assist in any way they could, staff and bartender (Mimo was his name) were more than pleasing to talk with

I would 100% stay here again I will definitely be recommending this hotel to family and friends that are looking to stay near the plaza!PS I’m currently writing this review in my room while a portion of the hotel is under renovation and they still don’t miss!

This hotel is very clean My family and I were traveling to Kansas City for a short weekend trip for Spring Break We were so happy with this hotel

The employees were wonderful and accommodating The room we had was immaculately clean I felt comfortable allowing my baby to crawl around the floor The pool is nice and clean The breakfast was decent It didn’t have a lot of the typical hotel breakfast items like biscuits/gravy, eggs & sausage, but there was plenty of other options The only issue we had the entire stay was our keys didn’t work properly a lot of the time But overall this hotel is excellent and in a good area in town We would definitely stay here again Definitely recommend!!

Steve Roberts

This is a great hotel for long or short stays Highly recommended for you! They’ve done a lot of things right: used green concepts when building hotel (example , many textiles are from recycled materials & pool uses natural ingredients rather than chemicals); pet friendly (for a fee); if you download Hilton App you can check-in & check-out online, get a digital key sent to the app that opens your room & all hotel entrances You don’t ever have to go to the front desk if you don’t want! Love it! Rooms were modern with refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, & dishes so you can make & eat meals in your room

The curtain next to bed blocks light from appliances (great idea!) Rooms have a dual shade with room darkening shade in metal tracks to block out all outside light (nice touch!) Free breakfast buffet was varied & tasty Pool & Exercise Center are top notch There are washers & dryers plus a laundry sort/fold area in the gym Between laundry & gym are rocking chairs & TV if you want to relax rather than workout while doing laundry Staff were very friendly & helpful We’ve stayed here twice for a week each time & will definitely come back

N L

We got there pretty late The person at the front desk was very nice and brought us extra blanket and sheets since we were using the pull out bed The hotel smelled horrible as we went down the hall way to the elevator, that even my 5 year old was complaining about the smell

! Everything seemed pretty good in the room until I slept on the bed The bed was very hard and the pillows were uncomfortable Didn’t have a good sleep but it was only for one night so I let it go I get in the bathtub to take a shower the next morning, go to squeeze the shower gelno shower gel The shower gel was never filled Completely empty! I did not bring anything since I know Home 2 Suites usually supply it I had to use my children’s body wash!! Then we head down to breakfast The person restocking the breakfast had such a bad attitude She would roll her eyes at everyone that asked her something She did not restock everything! The apple jack type cereal was never refilled!! No orange juice and no ketchup The breakfast was horrible I usually have a good experience when I stay at these hotels but this time it was horrible! I paid $200 to stay here and it was definitely not work the $200!!!

I splurged a little on this hotel because it has the perfect location We were able to walk to all sorts of bars, restaurants, breweries, etcAll of the staff were very nice and breakfast was pretty decent

However, the drinking glasses weren’t totally clean so I definitely recommend washing those before use (this is for almost every hotel ever though)I was extremely happy overall and would definitely stay here again

Found this quiet hotel kinda by accident Rooms are stylish and clean Every room in the entire complex are suites, I’m guessing different room sizes and layouts

An unexpected perk was all rooms have a door that opens up with a small balcony to stick your head out or let fresh air in Has a full kitchen with utensils We just stayed one night and didn’t use the kitchen but to keep in mind for another stay Overall great experience for a very reasonable price Update one day later: after the general manager sent me an email thanking me for my comments today I started reading some of the negative reviews The wife and I over 45 years of marriage have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the years I’ll just give my opinion of one of the negative reviews They stated the room was too small for 5 people? Really, 5 people? Show me any hotel single room that would really be big enough Perhaps they should have gotten two adjoining rooms Like purchasing anything, do your homework Let’s just say our stay could not have been any better for three times the price You will not be disappointed

Mary Baugh

I enjoyed my stay at Homewood Suites I’ve been to a few extended stay hotels, but none of them allowed pets to stayThe kitchen was a dream made true with pots, pans and all the essentials

Having a refrigerator that included a good size freezer, a large microwave and a stovetop, but I’ve never seen one with a dishwasher It was so nice Many good establishments delivered as wellPlus it had a sitting area in front of a door you could choose to open for fresh air A full king bed, with a closet all the essentials to be home away from home I believe the saying isThe continental breakfast was what I expected, and the staff were all nice I would suggest this place for sure

Daniel Wheeler

Probably the worst hotel we have stayed in in Kansas City We needed a room that was large enough to entertain five people so we asked for their largest room they informed us all rooms are the same got to the room and it was a sardine can (so small) So I told the front desk my dilemma and ask them if they had a meeting room we could use for a couple hours

They started off by saying the meeting rooms were reserved for the next day and I told them I needed it for that night So they asked the manager and he lied and said they rooms were booked Looked in later they were empty Went out to get food later came back the police had the driveway blocked something was going on in the hotel with the police Do not recommend staying at this place

I’m a Hilton honors gold member I’m used to great service but Bailey and Roxanne have gone above and beyond I spent 3 hours in line at the airport only to miss a early flight and I was exhausted and stranded

They did everything they could to make sure I was able to get on my next day flight and put me at ease The food at the bar was perfect and Roxanne know how to serve to perfection I’m used to Aspen service which is phenomenal and they exceeded that I’m very fortunate to have gone to the Hilton Kansas city and will be back!!! Thank you Bailey and Roxanne, the Hilton is lucky to have you!!!

Cheri Brown

My room’s TV and one lamp wasn’t working Also fridge wasn’t on, but they sent someone right away to fix it all! J was great! Nice young man! I was able to get a great turkey club and potatp salad to go from hotel restaurant

The shuttle brought my daughter from the airport without delay! Excellent hotel and service! Also, there is a Starbucks in the hotel, but they don’t use the app so bring money

victoria Schutter

Location is right next to airport Huge hotel with convention center They have 2 choices of rooms: 2 double beds with shower and bath tub or king with shower only

Bathroom is well lit They only supplied two towels I here was no coffee or coffee cup in room But they did have a coffee maker Ac worked great and enough plugs in room The bed was ok, but mattress has seen better days The pool area is very basic and in need of a lot of work No towels at pool

Good Hotel Breakfast was good and had some unique options like egg souffle and sugar Belgian waffles (or something like that) and had basics like juice oatmeal yogurt bagels and waffle maker Additional outdoor seating next to breakfast area was a nice touch with some decent views

Rooms were good size (2 queen suite), bathroom was clean and had enough towels for a family of 4 without having to call front desk for more I do also like the soaps and hair products in the shower with a dispenser Some of the fixtures in room were nice enough to consider them for my own home it did not feel outdated I would definitely stay here again Overall positive experience No complaints

DEMONTAYE NIXON

Very nice Room was really clean Staff are all very nice

Breakfast could be a bit better My girlfriend doesn’t eat cheese but they only provide prepackaged breakfast sandwiches that have cheese I usually stay at Hilton properties because as a business traveler I get credit for my stay even if book through a third party site Would frequent this hotel even more if they did the same

The hotel has a nice location close to the uptown theater and the action on the plaza within walking distance The front desk staff is helpful and very nice The room itself has wear and tear, but out king room came with a nice sofa and table

Parking isn’t super easy because it’s a garage with separate elevator access, but it was fine

Thomas

Wants to be a 4 star, but not there $2800 Valet under staffed when we got there and the rest of the weekend

Had 350 guests for a wedding, shouldn’t have been a surprise Check in was okay, but not real welcoming Slow elevators, seemed like only one of four was working Ice machine on 15th floor never worked Room a/c wasn’t working until about 10:30 our first night Toilet ran every 10 minutes Bridgette was the first friendly employee we ran into Breakfast hostess was nice and breakfast was good, but overpriced Wedding reception with 350 guests had two bars with a minimum of 15 minute service wait All issues can be excused to staffing issues, and I don’t like leaving negative reviews, except I expressed concerns on the Marriott Bonvoy site and was ignored Good service goes a long waypoor service, not much

Mama Bearnath

Will stay at this hotel again! Chance at the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly the views of the Plaza were amazing and I loved having coffee in my room while looking out at the fountains The shower door punched our fingers but we had to be mindful of not putting our finger on the handle while getting out of the shower I loved the detachable shower head, made it easy to wash the kiddos after a humid day!

Front desk attendant wasn’t the friendliest but I’m not there to make friends Nice hotel I liked how there was 1 entrance to 6 rooms and front and back entrance for second floor rooms

Made it so that not many people had to pass my door and excite my fur babies Very spacious suite Had all of the benefits of an apartment Unfortunately there was construction going on during my stay but that’s outside of their control and really only made parking access challenging Will be staying here again

Lola Kay

Pros: Breakfast had iced coffee, rooms very clean and spacious Great location All staff were beyond friendly! Always saying hello and good morning

Cons: my entire floor smelt horrible like fish even a day later Not really hotels fault people can cook in their room Shower luke warm, bedding was good but mattress was very hard Parking garage had like 20 spots for the entire hotel and it was pretty dark and sketchy

Peter Martens

The location is great the free parking is awesome rooms are a little old Front desk staff is extremely unhelpful and argumentative Had conversations with staff on phone before booking rooms to make sure we had what we needed from this location

Once we got there and discussed it with them all they had to say to us was “that’s interesting” Pretty useless They also felt the need two lecturers on how to use a gift card after once again we had asked for how to use the gift card over the phone before arriving at the location and were given instructions on how to proceed We knew we’d be in for an argument even before arriving at the front desk due to the previous engagements with them On the other hand the staff that runs the morning breakfast we’re outstanding super friendly always said good morning and seemed happy to be there

The only reason this hotel got 4 stars instead of 5 is because of noise The walls seemed pretty thin, so we heard a lot of outside noise and a quiet conversation in the hallways sounded like they were right next to us in our room Otherwise, all of the staff was very helpful, the location was perfect (near everything we wanted to do), and the hotel was clean, comfortable, and homey

Don’t forget to have your parking pass validated if you keep a vehicle on site!

R Len

Always a great stay Hotel is clean and mostly quiet A bit of inside work is going on right now

There were workers in the lobby and outside my door for most of my visit I wasn’t disturbed The bartenders were great Especially the gentleman I hate I didn’t get his name Great outside patio with fire pits Location is safe and quiet I stay here often for business

Anthony Tripp

Booked this hotel because its fairly close to downtown Nice hotel and they seem to be doing work to renovate it Was disappointed in the bed and the pillows

The mattress was very firm and the pillows were not Bed is a personal preference so my rating isn’t based on that My 3 star is because the rooms don’t block out much noise We could hear conversations next door as well as people in the hallway and this was during the night Disappointed that the pool and hot tub were down for maintenance Will probably stay again once the remodel is complete

Booked this hotel specifically for location and hot tub and checked in to find out there is not a hot tub despite being listed multiple places and in reviews Beware if this is a criteria for you! Otherwise my stay is fine Staff was very friendly and courteous

The shower was small and only a wall removable hand shower head which was not great However, we somehow ended up in a handicap room so this may be better in other rooms Room was clean and comfortable otherwise

Bishop Marcia Smith-Perkins

We were dissatisfied with an extended stay property down the street We left looking for another hotel to stay in and Hampton In & Suites was the first one I saw that I knew good things about And, well GOD is good and when I went in I was greeted with friendly, understanding and accommodating service from start to finish

The property as impeccable as far as cleanliness; amenities were great and my grandchildren enjoyed the pool, snacks and food available 24/7 I enjoyed my stay What started out as a bad experience in Liberty at the extended stay property ended up top of the hill comfort at Hampton Inn & Suites Thank you

This hotel is beautiful, its staff friendly, and its location great I’ve stayed here twice now and plan to stay again as often as I can The rooms have a classic look and are immaculately clean

The building has an old soulful feel to itDuring my most recent stay, I presented a tax exemption document to the front desk at checkout time No hotel likes dealing with these, but Charlotte was patient and thorough in seeing it through, multitasking by helping other guests while she adjusted my bill I could not be more pleased with my experience

I had the opportunity to stay at this property on a business trip and I was pleased with the overall quality of the stay Customer service is outstanding and truly lives up to the Hilton standard The rooms appears to have been recently renovated and the cleanliness throughly the property from the roomItself to all public areas was excellent

Breakfast was also very good with a nice variety of options and hot breakfast items The only thing that was disappointing was the climate control in the room It was quite warm even when setting the AC to the lowest temperature setting and the fan on high mode I think this may be the byproduct of the older building infrastructure If the AC worked better in the room, this would easily have been a 5 star review

Dan V

When we stayed at this hotel there was two soccer teams here so a lot of people Tom and his staff made sure everything was always clean and stocked The breakfast was great and they were never out of any food

Common areas were always clean I was really impressed on how clean and friendly everyone at this hotel was Will definitely stay here again

Mary Carr

Nice staff, clean and decent location for the Country Club Plaza area I noticed the breakfast was good (hot, clean, taste good and really good quality apples!) They also had a “Happy Travels” to go bag with water, granola bar, apple and muffin when I checked out

VERY NICEThere was a loud toilet in the room and an odd tapping from outside during the evening

You love old and dark rooms? You like small and old TV in your Room? You prefer the slowest elevator in the world? Welcome to Ambassador KC Seriously: One of the worst hotels of the autograph collection Absolutely overpriced

It’s more like an Residence Inn or similar low budget hotels The second star is for the front desk Sorry that I can not rate otherwiseBy the way: I have no idea why I, as a platinum member, was shipped to the old part of the building with a very bad view

We booked a special room for our anniversary and a couple hours before we checked in the a/c went out While we didn’t get to stay in the room we wanted, Arthur and the other front desk person (sorry for forgetting name) went out of there way to make the stay great Nice on site restaurant, have to walk a couple blocks to get to other things to do

Visited the show for my bf’s birthday Had a group show up and we enjoyed the songs and liveliness of the crowd and performer Food was okay and consider you pay about$100 per person right off the bat which includes your choice of entree and the show, a one time visit is okay

Friends had a good time and the space is very limited and with blocking columns, not all parties have the best view of the stage

The entrance was beautiful The staff was more than accommodating My welcome bag was plentiful and the shower was exactly what I needed after a long day

It’s real close to the airport so that makes it easy Couple drink cards for later and the food for the managers reception is a nice appetizer If you have to get to the airport early, stay here You won’t regret itTell them Lucky sent youIt probably won’t get you anything, but boy will you sound cool

My cousin and I are traveling cross country and Cindy was very helpful in arranging a shuttle to pick us up from the airport when I called When we arrived she was also personable and attentive towards the fact that my cousin has a service dog, and was able to get us the accessible room on the first floor We also thought the breakfast was the best of the other residence inns we have been to 🙂 thank you for a great overnight stay!

The Vilma Pier to be extremely clean When I went to take my shower the next morning oh, there was here all in the shower No one had used the shower in my party before I did the next morning

Now I’m wondering just how clean the rest of the room was because they couldn’t even bother to wash out the bathtub in the shower They was here all along the walls and in the tub

Overall a really good experience for my family of five The kids really enjoyed the pool, the staff were very helpful and gave some great recommendations on what we should do with our kids Rooms were clean enough, looks like the staff might have rushed cleaning the rooms but an acceptable level of cleanliness

Breakfast was as good as it gets for this level of hotel I would stay here again

Alicia Corbett

I saw the mixed reviews, thought it was overly picky folks First room was musty and damp smelling, was going to hope that after running the ac it’d smell better Then we noticed the door frame had big enough gaps in it the flip lock wouldn’t lock

We didn’t feel safe Second room smells slightly better Ran into another family switching rooms because of the horrible smoke smell The floor, especially in the bathroom is incredibly uneven, the tiles wobble as you walk in them Feels like you’re drunk walking in the bathroom Extremely run down, tried to cancel our reservations for our second night but weren’t allowed to We won’t be coming back

Allison Aubuchon

Honestly was the worst experience I’ve personally ever had at a hotel We took a family trip with 3 different rooms total None of us got much if any sleep the entire weekend

Sounded like kids were jumping off beds until 12am or later every nightcalled front desk to make a noise complaint 2 times My sister called 3 times The guy at the front desk literally laughed and hung up the phone So disappointing on how terrible customer service was at this hotel My mom has been planning this trip for 3 years Our stay definitely effected the whole trip, My kids couldn’t sleep because of the loud noise, my sisters kids and baby couldn’t sleep due to the noise, my parents didn’t get any sleepneedless to say none of use will ever return to this place or recommend to others If only I could give zero stars!

It’s a brand new hotel The room was super clean Front desk is very courteous and very helpful in accommodating our requests

Will definitely give 5 stars if the elderly woman at the hot breakfast counter had been more polite and did her job She gets frustrated and yells at the guests when there are more orders for pancakesWhile the breakfast time is until 10 am, when families with kids came to the breakfast bar a little before 9:30 am, she didn’t even provide them bread (Not sure why bread has to be with her, it could rather be at the open counter where anyone could pick) She just said there’s nothing available

Kavin Davis

When I first got to my room, it wasn’t even clean It appeared that someone was still staying in the room They had to send someone up to the room and clean it while I was there

Just communication with the staff was horrible I would ask them to have my room clean, they would tell me it would be done and it never got done I went for the first 6 days and they didn’t clean my room After talking to the supervisor of the property, it happened again, ended up leaving early to another hotel Will never stay in an Element hotel again

A fun place to stay, perfect location for every need (walking distance to everything) Breakfast was really good and the service was greatHotel security are very nice and engaging with guests We really enjoyed our stay

Only downfall was I was expecting more out of the rooms They are standard rooms, nothing special Normal size, typical bathrooms Just on the small sizeWe didn’t have a giod view either, nor did my BIL on the floor above usOver all it was a good stay

Tony Yang

My stay here was great The front desk staff was friendly and upgraded me to a suite as a Platinum Elite member The room was very spacious with great views, but the washroom area was way too small given the size of the rest of the room

Not sure why such a small bathroom was planned for a hotel like this Had a nice dinner at the restaurant in the lobby and the waiter there Khalid was very energetic and attentive It was a lovely stay here and the location was great as well
