Kim Haynes

Large, beautiful room was very clean and everything in working order Comfortable beds, fluffy pillows, fresh clean linens Private patios in each room are nice for morning coffee or afternoon tea

Friendly, helpful staff We upgraded with the dinner package and received an amazing meal, with a bottle wine, at the restaurant The portions were huge and perfectly prepared Breakfast in the morning served buffet-style included hot and cold items, plus some gluten free and no sugar added options The one thing I found disappointing was the condition of the landscaping Being at the Oregon Garden, we expected the grounds to be manicured and in full bloom in early June There were hardly any flowers and most of the plants were overgrown and in need of maintenance We will definitely be coming back and have already recommended it to friends and family!

Allana Miller

We celebrated our 10 year anniversary at the Oregon Garden Resort this weekend The room was fantastic! Comfortable, clean and we could bring our dog! The staff was super helpful and friendly, we would definitely come back The garden is only a short walk away and offers plenty of exciting walking trails with amazing plants around every corner to capture your attention

We’ll be back!

Staci Delgado

Stayed here for a girls weekend and was a perfect place to just relax and enjoy our time Easy to find and well maintained The lounge was great for happy hour and service was on point

The room decor is a little dated but room was clean and was a large room so plenty of space Location is great as the town of Silverton is super cute and it’s an easy drive to hike around Silver FallsThe breakfast buffet had a good selection of food and was nice eating outside on the patio

Staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, loved the pool! We were able to leave our bags at the front desk while we dealt with car issues, which was really nice I was having trouble with the handle to the room door, they sent someone from maintenance almost immediately Decor was super cute

Cannot praise more how helpful and friendly the staff wereAlso, I was in shock over the “continental” breakfast; they had eggs, chopped ham, waffle makers, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, bagels and cream cheese, pastries, and more! I was expecting a banana and a pre-packaged muffin, so this was a delicious surpriseRight next door was a tap house and amazing food truck, which made for a convenient and delicious dinner as well Trader Joe’s and Rite Aid were also conveniently nearby

Jonathan Kleinow

Stayed here for a family memorial service The staff were super friendly and helpful The room was clean and in good condition, although this is an older hotel

The continental breakfast had a good variety of items, including some really tasty scrambled eggs My only critique: they need better wi-fi 3Mbps down / 15 Mbps up isn’t cutting it in 2022

Diana Purvine

Our room could have been cleaner It smelled like Mexican food when we walked in the door We found some red sauce spilled on the wall and washed it off hoping that the smell would go away

There was visible dirt on the tops of the floor moldings Bed linens were clean, no bed bugs! Toilet is an awkward height, too low to the ground Would stay again, but would definitely need a disability compatible room next time! Breakfast service was good

Brandon Olson

Average hotel Rooms are on the smaller side The hallways are really dark

Air conditioners are old and loud The beds themselves were fine The room itself was mostly clean, but the TV remote was pretty gross Pets are $20 at this location Not a lot the hotel could do about this, but there are quite a few homeless in the area and they’ve left a bunch of trash behind the hotel, to include a shopping cart Payday for Bubbles Recommend not leaving anything in your carAlso, the WiFi is not good Both in speed and coverage Verizon and T-Mobile signal is marginal at best

K B

Don’t stay here if you have underlying conditions of are being cautious of Covid-19! Staff wear masks, but many guests do not and they don’t say anything to them about itAs for the hotel, for the price it’s not bad, beds are a little lumpy and pillows are mediocre, but overall it is pretty clean The bathroom shower ceiling is developing some mold and should be addressed

I would bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to sound though There’s an indoor pool (no hot tub), fairly extensive hotel breakfast (not great, but definitely worth stopping by), and plenty of parking

This is our family’s preferred lodging in the Salem area The staff is friendly and very hospitable (Shout out to Misty who always makes our stay great!) The rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable

The beds are great! For breakfast you get vouchers to Denny’s, which is different and fun The pool area is GREAT It is located in a quieter business area of a main thoroughfare (Mission Street) so you’re not more than 15 minutes from most anything in Salem Definite recommend

Melanie Calderon

Cannot say enough about how great the service was here Misty went above and beyond to help make our stay more comfortable and convenient for us We will for sure make this our go-to place in Salem

Beds and pillows were great, room was super nice and comfy Really quiet on 3rd floor!! Fresh cookies, water bottles in room Great free Denny’s breakfast

Kendrick Windham

The staff are very nice The housekeepers do well at keeping the place clean The building it’s self has been very clean

And I love how if you have any questions, whoever that is at the counter is always willing to help They keep all of the amenities very clean I am personally quite impressed with this place And hope that others enjoy their stay as much as I have!

Stephanie

I stayed here for 9 nights for work and really enjoyed my stay The queen suite is super cute and comfortabe; I absolutely loved the decor, and it would make me happy to come back to it after a long day at work They used a pretty purple-toned curtain to create 2 separate living spaces, and it was awesome to be able to just open it up if i wanted more room to move around

The couch was perfect to kick back and relax in front of the huge (for a hotel room) TV The worst part of traveling extensively for work is having to eat out all the time, so I was really excited that this hotel allows you to check out an induction cook top with 2 burners and some pans I was able to cook my own dinners most days which is so much healthier than eating out! The front desk staff are really friendly and helpful- all of my interactions with them were great The only part of the stay I didn’t enjoy was the lackluster housekeeping You have to ask for your room to be serviced, and they may or may not stock your room I still had to go downstairs to ask for toilet paper, dish soap, and towels Through the week I had to empty my own trash Then a week passed before they serviced my room again- the night before I left! To top it off, when I came back in the room, I could tell they had vacuumed because the small furniture items (ottoman etc) and trash cans were still piled on the furniture This was a 5 star stay that housekeeping reduced to 3 or 35 stars

Anthony Atha

I really enjoyed my stay here We were on a road trip and able to book last minute The hotel is modern and very clean which is so important

The room was beautiful with vaulted ceilings, a kitchen, sitting area, separate bedroom and a bathroom Very large room compared to othersStaff was great Ron helped at check in was able to accommodate my requests Sherry helped at check out and was so friendly Definitely recommend staying here

Miraloma Gal

We had a nice and quiet stay at this hotel after spending a miserable two nights at a downtown Salem Airbnb The staff was so helpful in letting us check in early at 11 am The hotel is very nice and modern with comfortable beds, clean and nicely decorated room

Great complimentary breakfast in the morning We only stayed the one night and will definitely stay here again when we visit Salem, OR I highly recommend this hotel

Sarah is a new employee and working the front desk She was very upbeat and very accommodating The manager came out and she was on her game as well

I’m so glad that they lifted the mask mandate as they were struggling with those stupid things on under the idiot Democrat Governor they have in Oregon and the more dingy President we have in DC They seemed happy to have regulations lifted which is all about all of our freedom The hotel room was clean and accommodating and the breakfast is over the top Great meal choices

Jennifer Benner

Worst hotel experience ever Starts with a terrible location surrounded by traffic on all sides and some kind of Styrofoam all over the rooms floor Got a room with a jacuzzi so we could soak and relax, literally 2 towels in the whole room

No extras in the shower area, no place to hang wet ones Got the tub half full, no more hot water No hot water for the duration of the stay, couldn’t even take a shower in the AM which we were desperately relying on as we are waiting for our home shower to be fixedTV kept turning it’s self off and on till we finally just went to bedToilet clogged & had to be repeatedly flushed after each use So much for that water conservation they are pushing by not doing daily laundryThen there was some kind of emergency and a front desk employee literally opened our door and walked into our room while we were in bed at 730 AM to tell us we had to exit the building Luckily we were awake and dressed and had been out, hence the door not being latched There was no reason to enter the room, a knock and info or call would have been sufficientAt the end an insignificant 25% discount, which in no way made up for the aweful night, no apology for the inconvenience just a rude front desk worker who said we should be glad no one was hurt🤷‍♀️Would not recommend, will never go back

Doug Quist

Service was excellent with very helpful front desk, housekeeping and breakfast roomDownside was no daily cleaning, which was OK for us since we had a bit of a cold, so less stress about being disturbedWorst things were the smell in our room (128) and even more annoying was very poor (NO COVERAGE) in the bedroom, other than some limited connections from McDonald’s

What a great place Perfectly located in downtown Silverton Rooms are very cute and comfortable

Now for the star of the show The restaurant attached is out of the world good, the staff are awesome It’s feels like a fancy 5 star but the prices are not 5 star The quality of food and portions are 5 star And again the staff are phenomenal

Aloidia

Absolutely a wonderful experience! The staff was understanding of the accidental 4 night charge (which I was refunded for the 4th night) The room was clean and the kitchen waa equipped with cooking and eating utensils with cleaning tools for cleaning your dishes (no dishwasher) The inn is within walking diatance of so many fun shops and restaurants plus a quick 6-8 minute walk to Roths

Only downside was the lack of a garbage disposal in the kitchen sink But other than that my bf and I enjoyed our weekend trip and would gladly take a trip there again

TR Lyke

Febuary 14th, 2022I drove 75 miles after calling the itinerary motel number at 5:00 today to say we would check in later I had to leave a message with my phone number Office sign hours till 6:00 Arrived before 7:30 to find no attendant, key, or instructions

Knocking and calling repeatedly could not raise anyone After a long wait and checking back an hour later with no response we drove back 75 miles to home This was a Valentine’s holiday for the 2 of use You ruined the day and wasted our time I had a valid confirmed reservation and this motel did not follow thru We were punctual with a call before closing, and the 2 phone numbers went to a recording Poor, very poor service especially when it was 37° outside Thanks for nothing and ruining our trip We will not pay for anything because we got way less than nothing

The furnishings and room are standard for a Residence Inn The bed is more comfortable than many Front desk staff is super friendly

The breakfast is pretty tasty with a decent assortment of food Unfortunately, the housekeeping is the least hospitable of any Residence Inn at which I’ve stayed I spend the vast majority of my time in hotels due to work (Diamond status for Hilton and Ambassador Elite for Marriott) so I get there have been some cutbacks because of Covid in most places, but housekeeping here is non-existent during your stay I stayed for 10 nights and had to specifically request any little thing I needed, including minor things like have the trash removed They do the bare minimum here Most hotels will at least do a room refresh every 4 or 5 days, but not here I work long, long days and don’t have the time or energy to micromanage the housekeeping I had planned on staying for another 10 days in March but will switch my reservation to a Hilton

Chrishna Stevens

Michelle at the front desk is amazing When I mentioned to her that there were a few things in the room not working she started doing all she could to get it fixed immediately even though I told her it was no big deal She would hear of it and insisted they would get on it right away, which they did

She was so kind and caring when our plans changed and we had to leave earlyNice breakfast and spacious rooms

I had to get a room very last minute, as in my mother called while I was 45 minutes away and on my way to the area I had a room somewhere else

but it wasn’t made for human habitation and Motel 6 should be ashamed My mom had no trouble reserving a room for me and goodness what a difference I felt like I was in the lap of luxury The woman at the front desk when I arrived was professional, no nonsense, and efficient She was like a rock I didn’t know I needed while I was an emotional wreck from all my drama I was in town for one night for a funeral in the morning The hotel was incredibly clean The breakfast selection looked delicious (I could only stomach something really small but it all looked yummy!) This place is really easy to get to from the freeway *and* it’s right next to a cluster of shopping and food options that includes an REI and a McDonald’s, but don’t worry – the hotel has a dedicated parking lot Giant windows and a dedicated panel A/C for better control of the temperature There is a gym and a pool I didn’t get a chance at but have no doubt they are lovely If you’re considering this place, there isn’t any reason not to stay here and many reasons to stay

David Lee

We had one reservation for 2 days using points in a 2 bed room and consecutively paid for a second reservation of 3 days in a 1 bed room Both rooms were spacious Hotel staff were extremely friendly and breakfast was consistently well stocked

The pool was very clean and empty The only issue was that we saw bugs in both rooms and the hallway The first room had a large bug in the bathroom and it went behind the mirror When it surfaced again, my daughter screamed We told the manager who was extremely apologetic An employee who overheard us talking asked if it was a spider or “potato” bug I said I thought it was a potato bug as it was large and round They commented that the heat (close to 90) was the likely cause In the second room (a few doors down from the first) the bug was above the bed This was unnerving and we all had trouble sleeping Again, other than bugs in both rooms, the hotel was greatOne additional note, the parking lot entrance is shared with the only In N Out Burger in Oregon The drive through is always crowded and occasionally very loud cars can be heard from the 4th floorThe area is fantastic with lots of food options and a Target (with curbside) less than a 2000 ft from the hotel

Mike R

This Holiday Inn Express at Keizer/Salem OR looks brand new The king bed suite is as spacious as any I’ve seen Lots of user friendly features including the sink in the bathroom (A pet pieve of mine when hotels put the sink outside the bathroom in the living area)

Night light in bathroom, an extra lounge chair in addition to the sleeper sofa, foot stools under night stands, accent/mood lights above wardrobe Handy power outlets+++ Haven’t used any services yet, just checked in a few hours ago Great room at fair price so far

Loved this hotel! The beds were comfortable and I adored that they had full-size containers in the showers I would have loved a bathtub, but it wasn’t the end of the world without one The staff was extremely accommodating and took the time to find me and my family three rooms on the same floor

The pool was a ton of fun and the breakfast options were plentiful I will absolutely stay here again if I’m in the area

Kathleen Rochioli

If I could, I’d give this hotel a 10 star review! This is the nicest hotel I have stayed in, ever! Although our stay was unpleasant and rooms were filthy, I am giving another upgraded review for this motel because Kathryn Adair the manager was very patient and understanding with my wife’s dissatisfaction and handled it very well Good customer service like that is hard to find The place definitely needs cleaning but at least the staff was pleasant and understanding enough to work with us

That alone deserves my respect and admiration I am also sincerely sorry for my harsh comments that were left earlier Thanks again to management for your professionalism and excellent customer service

Joyce Miller

This place is clean and simple Their supplies are fine The reason I gave them a middle on service is because if you stay there longer than a week, they do not offer to come and clean the floors etc

They just drop off clean sheets and towels There aren’t brooms or cleaning things in the unit for you to use We had to go to the office and ask for a broom Otherwise the place and service is to a huge variety of clients and they are a good service and place

Anastasia Marshall

If I could give it a zero I would Checked in, got to the room, gagged as soon as the door opened Seriously smelled like something died in the room

Called the front desk, offered poor customer service They came up to the room and said well what would you like? I asked them if they’d sleep in that room and they shrugged their shoulders Took 40 minutes to figure out how to refund

Stayed at the Grand Hotel in Salem in February for a business trip The staff was wonderful, very professional and helpful The room was nice and comfortable

My kids enjoyed the pool a lot and it was nice to have access to a workout room as well The complementary breakfasts were tasty and included different hot and cold options to choose from The lobby was elegant and had nice velvet furnishings I will definitely stay here again!

Overall Score: 42/50Cleanliness: Great! You should feel more than safe to sleep here No immediate issues, nothing gross, and everything looked clean I checked all the sheets, the AC unit, bathroom floor, shower, toilet

all clean Does it feel 5-star clean? No, but that is purely due to aesthetic reasons The rooms feel dark and slightly dated, so that may not help (8/10)Service: Great! Do I feel like a king? No Do I feel important? Yes! They really do a great job at providing excellent service The complimentary breakfast and the service provided here was also great! (9/10)Quality: As I mentioned, this isn’t a 5-star hotel, but it’s definitely a wonderful place to post up whether it’s for a conference, a family road trip, or a work retreat Also, it’s in a quality location to explore Salem (9/10)Environment: The lobby is great and the overall environment is good Feels clean and classy Sure, some things feel slightly dated, but it’s still nice! (8/10)Uniqueness: Definitely a step up from the typical Best Western or some other similar brand It stands out against surrounding hotels, but it doesn’t reach the unique heights of the 5-star standard Still a great hotel! (8/10)

Newly renovated room selected through online check in Expected that any room available via this option, should be a standard hotel room Room had a strong chemical smell and lacked any seating area except for side tables

Was told room was finished, just the furnishings were not upon inquiry Despite the sign on the wall – no actual manager on duty Disappointing experience and poor customer care Will definitely stay elsewhere

Overall, the property was very poorly maintained The carpet in the hall was completely covered in plastic tarp In our room, there was something stuck to the wall by the window

It may have been food Please let it have been just food The layout of the room was poorly thought out There was no space between the air conditioner and the foot of the bed, so the person sitting closest to the window could not leave the bed without a whole lot of gymnastics There was a broken lamp shade in the outside window was filthy, with a broken screen that was hanging crooked Overall, not at all what I would expect from a Doubletree

Janae

Front desk was welcoming and helpful There is a charge for parking In unsecured, uncovered, open parking lot which I didn’t know until I arrived Only $7 but seemed an odd charge for guests

Furniture in room and lobby seem dated and a bit battered Sheets on bed were suspect Just so wrinkled that i couldn’t tell if they were fresh or not but I was so tired I had to sleep and bed was very comfortable Some highway noise heard but I was there for work and so tired I was able to sleep through it Pool closed Didn’t feel quite like 35 star hotel

Rooms:1/5Despite being listed as a non-smoking hotel, it was quite obvious that it was not always a non-smoking hotel Our room smelled like someone threw a verbena-scented smoke bomb in it shortly before we arrived which was almost suffocating Once we had the plug in turned off for about two hours, the whole room smelled like smoke

The mattresses and pillows were so smoky it was hard to sleep between that and the air freshenerThe alarm clock in the room went off at 6:00 am and the room hadn’t been vacuumed before we got there, as there were lots of small items on the floor when we walked in, such as bottle caps and a metal gussetBreakfast4/5Great breakfast Lots of food choices available and a pleasant breakfast roomStaff5/5Everyone was so friendly and helpfulAmenities2/5They did not have a pack and play available, meaning we had to bring our own and fit it in our luggage Not the worst thing in the world, but not the best The lobby was very nice and clean and was enjoyable to sit in

The cleanliness of our room was absolutely disgusting Pulled out the couch cushions and there was trash and food crumbs, the refrigerator was not cleaned out, the dishes in the cupboard were dirty The shower in the bathroom had dirt in the corners and in the tile groudt, hair in the sink and shower

These rooms have been neglected for awhile We stayed in 2 different rooms and the second one, by far, was the worst The hallways and common areas were very clean but the rooms horrible I’ve stayed in a few LaQuinta’s and will not be staying at this location again Especially at the price we paid

Everyone in the front office was very pleasant and made sure I stayed was super comfortable for being in a funky part of town this is the best place to stay around Super kind and helpful staff the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel and the best poolside amenities anyone could ask for clean rooms spacious we will definitely be back again When our car broke down we stayed here while our part was being shipped

They were very understanding and helpful with that as well

Room smells strongly of urine Shoes stick to the floor around the sink Toilet seat is dirty

Hand towel looks like someone washed their boots with it Carpet is stainedSign on the hotel says “Recently remodeled” I’m guessing this place was on par with an hourly room rental type establishment before this “remodel” Pony up the few extra bucks and stay at the Holiday Inn across the street Avoid this hotel

I stayed here for about a week, and I have to say that it has been one of the better experiences I’ve had in a lower-end hotel (I’ve stayed in gorgeous suites at Caesar’s Palace and other very nice hotels) The staff are mostly very friendly and helpful The place is mostly clean and in good repair

The room was decent The beds are comfortable with decent mattresses and all that goes along with them The room had an old but functioning refrigerator and microwave The coffee maker was old and filled with multicolored dust, so I skipped using thatDespite the large sign in the exterior of the building, and as mentioned in a lot of other reviews here, their claims of having been “renovated” recently seem dubious at best The bottom of my bathroom door was showing signs of severe water damage, the walls are still covered in unattractive wallpaper that is dirty The curtains were clearly very old, as was the AC/heating unitThe “breakfast” they serve consists of either prepackaged stuff you have to prepare yourself, waffles you have to make yourself, cereal, and bruised apples and oranges The coffee will provide that caffeine boost you need to not want to rip everyone’s head off, but is definitely on par with instant Folgers as far as taste is concerned, and all they have for cream is those tiny, warm, individual Coffee Mate creamer things and French Vanilla and Hazelnut flavor pump thingsAll in all, I enjoyed my stay here and would stay again, especially if they dropped their price a little I would say that it is definitely a decent value for the money as is, though The reception staff definitely make up for whatever nitpicky flaws I pointed out here I felt sad leaving them to continue my journey elsewhere

I loved it here! Right off of the freeway, and many of the places were walking distance from the hotel Can keep an eye out on your car through the peephole if your park right in front of your room Staff were very friendly, chill, in good spirits, down to earth

Very accommodating too Very quiet at night and got some good sleep Only problems were the toilet seat being a bit small for me, and noise from the outside can be heard from the inside during the day, even with the door being completely shut closed Minor though I love Oregon 🦫

I enjoy staying at this motel Even if I have to be on the second floor, I don’t mind the stairs too much They usually accommodate my disability if they have a room on the first floor

All the staff is super friendly They don’t bother me when I’m sleeping in late The rooms are mostly silent, so I don’t hear that crazy couple down the way having a good time It’s right by a Denny’s and Fred Meyer!

would of gave 5/5 but when i checked out (about 7:05 AM) I went to the breakfast area to grab whatever they had (muffins, cereal, pastries, etc) all I saw was juice and coffee I think the super 8’s are suppose to have more of a breakfast than that

they have excellent lighting across the entire property I felt very safe (as I did not arrive to check in till 9:30 PM)
