It’s a roadside motel It’s not fancy, but it was clean enough for us for one night Staff were to-the-point, which I prefer after 10 hours of driving

No sign of bed bugs in our room Mattress was a spring but it surprised me when it wasn’t too bad Nice steak house up the road tooWould probably stay here again

Brooklynn James

The lady working the front desk was super kind We came in late, she hadn’t seen our reservation so she had gone on to bed Even though we woke her up, she was kind and even gave us a better room

The room was clean It took a little while for the AC to cook off the room, but once it did it was nice and cold Definitely a great fit for a one night stay

Weldingchick Shepp

Nobody must not check these rooms before using them These rooms ARE NOT CLEAN!!! First off the bathroom has bugs and jewelry on the floor, under the bed was Mountain Dew bottle and caps from whoever stayed last Than we picked up the bed to see tiny white bugs CRAWLING AROUND!! After taking pictures and videos of bugs and trash safe to say family left asap

Went to the best western down the street

We travel with two little dogs, so we often stay at La Quintas because they are almost always very clean, have a dog yard, and are not too expensive This stay was mostly okay, but the cleanliness was a concern We had a reservation and arrived late, but the door mechanism on our first room didn’t work so we were moved

The desk clerk was very nice and accommodating The room we moved to (211) was a pet room as well, but the smell was almost overpowering It smelled like dog urine and sickness (vomit and diarrhea) We turned on the ac and a couple of fans we’d brought with us and that helped So since it was midnight and we were exhausted after driving 14 hours, we decided to stick it out for the one night since we were just planning to sleep and leaveThere were a couple of other very small things that made me think housekeeping was rushing when they cleaned When we took the dogs out to the dog yard it was clear that a dog had recently been ill, as there was diarrhea all over the sidewalk This is obviously not the hotel’s fault, but it would have been nice if they’d cleaned it upOther than that it was not a terrible stay The staff was super nice, even when I suggested this morning that they should get a carpet cleaner in to room 211 because of the smell

Perfect for the traveling pet parent DOGS ARE FREE

WAIT WHAT?? This awesome clean and well maintained hotel was a great price, and there was absolutely NO CHARGE for my 2 dogs! Of course you have to fill out a damage and noise waiver but that is all standard when staying at any hotel that accepts dogs My room was on the first floor and it had waterproof engineered type floors, perfect if your pet does have an accident (no worries for me, because my pooches are always good!)This hotel was not your typical “pet hotel” with the occasional pet stain here or there or maybe a slight pet urine odor- not at all! Like I said before Clean and well maintained Kudos to the friendly staff and hotel management; this pet parent thanks you for giving our wallets a break from high pet fees while still providing an affordable and clean hotel for all to enjoy 🙂

GR

This spot is a little pricey compared to other local lodging options but I thought it was well worth it Rooms are clean and well maintained, pet friendly, plus far enough from I-40 so you can’t hear all the road noiseI had an issue with the first room, nothing major but the front desk quickly moved me to another room without an issue

Our room was very nice and clean, and quite spacious The continental breakfast was good, with a lot of selections to choose from The best part was the staff that monitored/refilled the breakfast items – the ladies were super friendly, and were on top of every detail

One morning we came near the end of service, and one of the ladies had offered to make my nephew’s waffle for him She went above and beyond for us My husband and I were very impressed by the breakfast service staff and our overall stay at this hotel and will definitely be retuning in the future

S Reed

The ladies at the front desk were friendly and very helpful We usually stay at Hilton chain hotels but this place had great reviews so we decided to try it So glad we did!Our 2 queen bed room is large, as is the bathroom, and clean

The beds are not as firm as I like but that’s just preference Nice pillows, decent sheets, plenty of towels, coffee maker, microwave and a small fridge with freezerFull breakfast 6 to 9:30 am

JEFF Devlieger

Rooms were clean, they have a full breakfast with many choices The jacuzzi is enclosed next to the outdoor pool We love it being enclosed out of the heat

The only negative was there was literally only 2 cars in the entire parking lot when we arrived at noon But was still told we couldn’t check in until 3 Saying our room wasn’t ready That evening and next morning the parking lot was maybe half full So obviously plenty of rooms open So we don’t understand why they wouldn’t allow check in

Very much the old style holiday Inn, which isn’t bad on its own The room was clean enough, although falls short of the usual Holiday Inn standard I’m used to The floors are clean, and no mystery stains anywhere or anything like that

The bedsheets are clean, but if you lift up the sheet, the mattress protectors could be cleaner and under the mattress is dirtier than any holiday Inn I’ve stayed at beforeIt wasn’t dirty enough that I’d want to move rooms or hotels, but holiday Inn have a solid reputation for cleanliness and this one just doesn’t quite live up to itIt’s quite possible it has something to do with their pet friendly promise, or perhaps the fact they’re in a busier location than the others I’ve stayed in (seemed to be pretty full!)Water pressure in the shower however was excellent, bordering on being too powerful if anything – which is great for washing off all the dessert grime and sweat if accumulated all day!!!I should add, that I get a really good rate (97 USD) so really is hard to fault the hotel for what really are fairly minor issues If they were charging more than $150 is probably start questioning the value however unless they refurbish the hotel or start cleaning to a higher standard

Bob Schuster

This IHG facility only got a 3 star rating from us for only 1 reason

We had been on the road 10 days straight and had planned on using the customer laundry room to get us fresh clothes for the rest of our vacationHowever upon checking in, we were told 2 of the 3 washing machines were not working, as well as their only dryer being broken as well So it sent us scrambling to find a laundromat in the 100 degree heat No funEverything else at the hotel met our expectations as it has at all of the other IHG stops on our 3 week vacation

Wayne G

Great location right off the interstate with ample amount of parking The lobby and breakfast area are decent That is the plus side of this hotel

This location is in dire need of renovation The carpets were not just dirty, but stained The hotel has not been renovated in a very long time For the price I paid, I would’ve been better off to save a little money and look for a motel 6 someplace else as I was only passing through for the night I am an IHG member and that’s the reason I booked this room However, unless they renovate this hotel, I won’t be staying back at this one Did I mention that I hope IHG renovates this location soon

Simple, clean budget accommodations close to the train station, a museum, and my destination, the local country records offices The family members running this motel were very responsive to the questions asked in person and over the phone My only wish was that they had better information about the coffee availability and food situation posted up front upon registration

Otherwise, I was very satisfied with my 1-night stay and I would not hesitate to stay again for a quick trip to Kingman It was easy to locate and my sister and I got a great night’s rest

Vanessa Troupe

Rooms are very clean and staff was very niceIt was not a very comfortable bed however If better mattress it would’ve been a 4+

It was nice being able to park our car right in front of room and felt safe

J D

I stayed one night in this place, but was horrified

Maybe too many dramas show how horrible these motels are, but when you really come here, it seems true People who can only afford this kind of place is not as cultural as others Loud dispute in neiboughers’ room, no safety lock, dead roaches in the bathtub if you are not that desperate, don’t

It is really sad when you check into a nice hotel and find it unclean I was careful to read many reviews of the hotels in the area to carefully pick one that was decent This hotel is really nice, with spacious rooms and many amenities

The young man at the check- in was wonderful; very helpful, friendly, & professional I was very pleased until I went our room to find urine on our commode How does the seat of a commode not be the first and main thing cleaned in a hotel room???? If that’s not clean, then what else has not been cleaned in this room?? Luckily I travel with Lysol wipes and spray!!! Used it well on everything in the room

Alexandria Solari

I was incredibly apprehensive about staying in Kingman, as it has a reputation for being rough I can’t even begin to express how much Kingman has improved since I visited about 10 years ago This hotel is a shining example of the growth of Kingman

We were traveling with a huge moving truck and two large dogs and this hotel and staff couldn’t have been more accommodating The rooms were great and clean My pups were happy(they usually don’t travel) This hotel is tucked away in a little area that felt pretty safe to us There is a dog park a couple of miles away and food nearbyI highly recommend this hotel to anyone but especially those with dogs

Dave Hogan

The staff were awesome I don’t expect such friendliness from a freeway exit hotel, but everyone here made me feel very welcome, suggested a good place to grab dinner, and a great place to grab lunch on the way out of townI had to use late checkout and everyone was super nice about it

I usually feel very rushed when I request it, but everyone here made me feel like that’s part of the Bonvoy program, so I might as well use it if I need toThe room was nice and exceptionally clean when I checked in, and while the view isn’t exceptional I had a west facing room and won’t complain about getting to see the sky as the sun set that night

ZEPRAT GERNODT (ZEPRATGERNODT)

While there were some shortcomings:No BreakfastNoisy full time renters – you know the type, wearing concrete sandals upstairs and/or cracked-out looking for bugs or imaginary animals until 3amThe owner was very kind and apologetic in making sure I was getting great service At the end of the day the place had hot water and the bed was clean

That’s all that mattered to me when it was all said and done

Joelle archer

Keep driving! The room was filthy

walls, ceiling and floors The bathroom sink was dislodged from the counter (was told this at check-in which was too late to look for other lodging) This was the kind of place where you really didn’t want to touch any surface, take a shower or even use the toilet Even the furniture was stained Wyndham should remove this property from their portfolio This comes nowhere close to any limited expectations you may have in the “you get what you pay for” mindset

Simon Cornejo

We’ve stayed in Kingman before but 1st time here Rooms where really dirty Towels looked dirty and didnt smell clean as well

Water in the sink did not go down Lights did not turn on, only 1 worked and room reeked of cigarette The smell was incredibly strongWouldn’t recommend unless it’s a last resort

I got to the hotel pretty late around 11pm The front desk was a friendly older man and he was super sweet it really made my night When we were getting our bags from our car at the back of the building, we were lugging it to the front when the front desk opened the side door so we didn’t have to walk so far

The rooms and area seemed great Overall really good experience 🙂

Ryan Marquez

I looked online for a cheap place to stay the night while driving through AZ and this place seemed alright I booked my room in advance and paid $138 including tax for a suite The room was decently sized and didn’t make me feel cramped at all

At first I didn’t notice anything that was off putting but I did see that the hotel was a bit run down I assume the large amount I paid for the room is in an effort to collect enough funds to remodel The staff was nice and the lady at the front desk helped me get into my room after struggling with the door (I was using the keycard wrong) After that I settled in The pillows were old and lumpy, the blankets were a bit thin for my taste but I wasn’t cold enough to go ask for another blanket The only thing that I really struggled with was the bathroom It was clean and I could tell everything had been looked over but the ceiling is where it all fell apart Literally The ceiling had taken on water damage and was peeling because of it The walls were thin so I could hear people having conversations at a normal level in their own rooms and at one point I did smell someone making coffee in the night Also one thing to consider is getting in before everyone else does probably somewhere around 4-5 pm to get a parking spot near the front or at least under a lamp that way your car isn’t parked in a weird spot

Philip Tilton

What a rip-off! I was traveling very late in the day, driving toward Kingman when fatigue hit me I looked for Kingman hotels, found a name I recognized in a semi-positive way (NOT Super-8) and called from my car After a seemingly endless process of dealing with a reservation service operator whose accent I could not understand and who barely understood me, I was advised the hotel in question was full and offered an alternative

I didn’t catch the name when he first said it, only a vague description of the accommodations and a price: $200 for the night I had him repeat the name and I heard “Super-8” I’ve generally avoided that chain as VERY low budget – around $50 per night You can imagine my surprise I thought perhaps this must be a particularly good Super-8, but my optimism faded as I listened to the operator repeat, over and over, that the reservation was non-cancelable and nonrefundable under any circumstances and our voices were being recorded I felt I had no choice but to proceed, given the lateness of the hour and my fatigue So I arrived at the hotel to find a dump It’s a dark place with carpeting from another century and a dank, depressing institutional feel The room seemed clean enough to be sure, but it smelled of a thousand layers of disinfectant The main sitting chair had a hole in the upholstery, and the shower head protruded from a hole the wall that appeared to have been created with a hammer I had difficulty sleeping because residents in the room above me seemed to take showers throughout the night and it sounded if the pipes were located next to my bed In the morning I made multiple trips to and from my car to load my things, passing by a maid in the hallway with a cart of some kind reaching in and out of a closet The closet had two doors, both opened up to block the hallway On the first trip I announced my approach, smiled at the maid and pushed the doors to their fully open position to enable my passing The maid returned my smile but offered no assistance, leaving the cart blocking the hallway I passed by with luggage twice more with the same result This hotel was not even worth $50 per night, much less $200 I’ve little doubt the operator viewed the lack of vacancies in the area as an invitation to price gouge I’m a believer in capitalism and the operator’s right to charge what the market will bear I also believe in warning fellow travelers away from this place

The owner Jesse checked us in and was extremely nice We had a short talk about the hotels history I was fascinated by the size of the hotel

Each corner has its own unique aesthetic The pool is MASSIVE the room extremely clean and comfortable I will come back Also he recommended a dinner place ( Dam Bar and grille) and a breakfast ( Rutherford’s Diner) both places gave us 10% off after mentioning staying at Rodeway and that Jesse sent us Awesome place!!!

A good experience Friendly staff, clean room, hot shower Needed a place to crash on a cross country trip and this place was great

Bed was super comfortable This is an older hotel, don’t have the expectation you are going to Disney world, but if you need a place to crash for a couple days this place will fit your needs All in all, a great value Next time I pass thru Kingman, I would stay here again!!!

Peter H

Room met my expectations for a clean, comfortable place to stay for the night Sabrina, at the front desk, was extremely friendly and helpfulRoom was a bit outdated, but no weirds smells or stains on anything

Bedding seemed new and it did not smell like cigarette smoke, which was appreciated I would stay here again

This place is not worth $85/night The staff was nice The room smelled

The sheets had small stains and definitely had hair The bathroom was small The sink pressure was so high, you turn it on and water just gets all over the sink and floor You have a really old TV, towels, some soap, and the bed I forgot to take pics of the room but if you have to stay somewhere, make this a last resort unless you’re just there to sleep and leave The staff was great though, compared to other hotels (I hear)

Rebecca Todriff

April, at the front desk, was super friendly and fast! She made us feel very welcomeThe room was clean Property well maintained

It is right next to the Mohave County Sheriff’s office, which looked like it was also a jail The location was a plus for me because, having worked a few years in a prison and lived many more years right next to a jail, I can say that is where you’ll be safest (Get that “what if there’s a jailbreak” nonsense out of your head, I promise you this is not the issue you’ve been led to think it is Like quicksand)So, friendly staff, safe location, clean place to sleep, ✔️✔️✔️Five stars! Thanks for leaving the light on!

George Vida

One of the worst Motel 6’s I have ever stayed in The heater emitted a strong smell of cigarettes and there was a cigarette butt in the bathroom basin even though the room was non-smoking The bathroom was dirty, both the toilet and the bath tub

No coffee machine, no tea, no fridge, nothing besides 2 soaps and a pair of towels Only go if you like the sound of the passing train across the building

Honestly not the greatest at all Probably really nice in its time but needs a Million Dollars spent on it Bed was clean which was the main thing but there are other places you could stay

Really run down and grubby Didn’t dare venture into the shower so left that morning unshowered Really not how it is portrayed Themed rooms are just pictures on the walls It was the last day of our bike trip on Old Route 66 so we went back to Vegas after it to New York New York Hotel for a good wash and a beautiful room Only use this hotel if you are desperate The reception was cluttered and the owner gave us 35 minutes history lesson I’d just ridden a whole day and wanted a room not a lecture Sorry guys but it just didn’t do it

Erin Schlund

If you can step away from the amenities of the modern world and appreciate the old world charm of historic Route 66 and old Hollywood then this place is fantastic The owner is passionate about the history of Kingman and eagerly shared his knowledge as we checked in The room was clean and well kept and the bathroom was original to the 1930s

I recommend this place as an experience along your Route 66 road trip

Kotryna

The room had a nice old school southwest vibe but it was really cold when we came in The heater wasn’t on, but the TV was on for some reason There were some lose hairs in the bathroom and on the bedsheets

One towel had a yellow stain on it and another was still damp The mattress wasn’t comfortable, the kind that feels more like an air mattress In the morning there were three dead bugs in the sink We thought it would be a nice historic place to stay at on route 66 but all these small things didn’t make it too pleasant

This hotel was amazing to stay at! The entire staff was so helpful, kind and accommodating The facility is beautiful and has amazing cleanliness with very comfortable rooms They also offer a hot complimentary breakfast buffet (which is so delicious), indoor pool and hotub, and well as a fitness center

The location is also perfect because there are many stores, grocery stores, gas stations and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kingman they were great in every way possible!!

Greg

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Kingman Az I was double booked for the room When I noticed the 2 emails with a bill for 2 separate rooms I contacted the Manager of this hotel

She basically said sometimes this happens when you book online and that she wouldn’t help me So she says that because the hotel was sold out for that night that I’m being billed She is by far the worst manager I’ve ever dealt with in my life I’m currently disputing the bill with my credit card and through the corporate end I will post the finale results I honestly would not recommend this hotel and would recommend you book elsewhere And this is the kind of service she offers when I was with a group that booked appropriately 30 rooms There is another big hotel right next door I’d recommend you go thereSo if you notice the response below the manager says that they will review this with the employees BUT they never mention correcting the mistake that cost me around $145 So don’t fall for the cheap talk I’d recommend you stay down the road or next door There is another hotel within walking distanceAgain the customer comes last at this establishment in my opinion

Eddy P

Lindsey was awesome! I stay in a lot of hotels due to my line of work and there is a basic feeling you get staying in hotels where everyone’s politeness is forced due to the obligatory employee guidelines It wasn’t this way with her at all Lindsey went out of her way to make us feel welcomed

Andrew went out of his way to make sure the facilities were all in proper working form What a great stay! Whenever I come to town on tour, I’ll be staying with your hotel again Thank you folks!!!

Been all over the country and because of bad experiences I don’t usually go to motel 6 as they are usually pretty gross But my truck is broke down and in the shop and this motel is super close And I’ve gotta say, this is the nicest Motel 6 that I have ever been to

Clean rooms, nice central air instead of the giant wall unit And the lady at the front desk was really nice and even called the room after 10 minutes to make sure that it was clean Very nice customer service And cheap I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice but cheap motel

there were only 3 lights it was very dim I was getting in bed and found A ROACH crawling on the wall beside the bed Other than that the room is very nice but it is shared with another room with a door separating them It smells like cigarette smoke everywhere😷 The pool looks nice Also there was no way to change the heating or cooling in the room It got quite warm 3/10 would recommend There are probably better hotels in this town

Despite a pleasant, courteous desk clerk who did her best to be welcoming, I chose NOT to stay after walking to my room to look it over The place is tired, shabby, and I witnessed some pretty dubious behavior going on in the parking lot I try not to judge but drunken arguments at 4 p

m and gatherings of aimless youths apparently looking for something to do, and sadly homeless people perched on curbs near the rooms does not inspire confidence in one’s safety I went to the office to process a refund and went to an admittedly more expensive hotel (Best Western Plus less than a mile away) Cost twice as much but was a completely different experience Was filled with tourists and served a full breakfast buffet Some Motel 6 properties are quite acceptable This one is not Give it a pass
