Everything was great, king room, $99, pull out sofa with separate area Mini fridge, microwave, and they even sell microwavable food downstairs

I couldn’t move in the shower I’m 5’9″ 145 lbs, and with an athletic build so I’m not big at all The water pressure wasn’t bad, just not great AC is top notch even on 109° day The staff is amazing and it was very, very clean! Hit breakfast every morning Over all I would definitely recommend staying here They also have an indoor pool and workout room

Kimberly Evans

If you want a pool for your kids… skip this hotel The pool is very small Doesn’t have a working filter

(According to staff!) Literally has a film of chemical on the top Is not swimmable but they allow people to swim anyway The rooms have 3 beds That’s what made us pick here But my 4 kids couldn’t swim on their vacation For the price, that sucked I even called ahead twice to ask if pool was opened because several pools in Longview were closed They told me yes all was fine That was very disappointing We were stuck 3 days here with no entertainment unless we paid to go out Pool are essential for some

Got to the hotel at 2:15 after being on the road since 10 am Asked if there was any possible way to get early check in Was met by a young lady who roudley told me check in was at 3

I said I understood but I was hoping before we went shopping we could drop off our luggage She again said check in was at 3 they had no rooms available for reservations I let her know I already had one reserved She then responded with none were clean and we couldn’t check in until 3 or maybe even laterWe came back at 4:20 and asked to check in waited for a “clean” room Made it to the room and half of the lights wouldn’t turn on in the room I called the desk and let them know and there response was Are they plugged in? We pulled out the night stands, desks, and dresser and plugged in everything we could find Still had no bedside table lights Called front desk back She brought us a light bulb and we swapped it outWe proceeded to get settled in Literally the only thing that looked like it had been cleaned in the room was the bedding Carpets were gross and didn’t appear vacuumed Chairs and sofa were stained and dirty Bathroom was disgusting Don’t know when the last times the floors had been actually cleaned Shower was gross 🤢 We had 2 towels and 1 wash rag Also no toiletries Just bar soap Have traveled and stayed at 100’s of choice hotels This was the worst experience I have ever had with 1

A little less convenient road access compared to many options nearby however in my case I’m very fortunate to have booked with Wingate The staff I dealt with on checking were excellent Thanks Becky

Just want to note that my room was exceptionally clean I’m very reluctant to stay in a hotel period for cleanliness but Wingate was exceptional

Monie

First I would like to say, it’s a pretty nice & clean hotel Secondly, I would like to address Dakota (front desk) & Johnathan B, (general manager) VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, racist and claiming to be “intimidated” by a group of people standing outside minding their business we came into town to enjoy family, for Independence Day, my family members was kicked out of the hotel because of something that went on outside of the hotel

Also, charged multiple nights with no refund If they appear to be professional, NOT true We literally did not harass ANYONE!! Oh, and what manager hangs up in the customers face?? But don’t worry, I hope this review gets around to everyone that checks in here, and this will get settled Would not recommend staying hereespecially if you’re of color Queers

Elizabeth Suarez

Nice room, friendly staff My only complaint is false advertising I was expecting there to be access to a computer and printer, as shown in pictures from the hotel sites

Unfortunately that is not the case They have a small tablet and barstool available as there “business center” I am a Diamond Wyndham Rewards member and I did not expect to be so uncomfortable conducting my work Please remove the picture and stop advertising said picture as the hotel business center, because that is not the case

If you want to rest, stay as far away as possible from this hotelThe hotel is located meters from I-20, which is not a problem in itself, since many hotels are on the side of major highways, but due to their location, because they put trees or due to their construction, the noise of the road is minimized or eliminated In this case, none of the above is true and you can even hear the noise of the tires of passing vehicles

You can also get, like us, room 206 between May 5 and 8, 2022, a party in the next room from 2 am until they checked out at 11 am I called 2 times, at 2:30 and 3 am to the reception to take care of it, their response was “I call the room and nobody answers” (???), my response was “go to the room and tell them to stop and if you can’t, call the police” My wife and I hardly slept at all that night and the next day we had a 7-hour drive back home Perhaps, this review will receive a response from a very distressed manager asking for forgiveness Well, it’s all false, I say it in advance Because on Sunday the 8th there was more than enough time for the manager to show his face and he/she wasn’t even at the hotel We happened to be at the front desk when the troublemakers from room 208 checked out The receptionist (with whom I had previously discussed the case), did not even mention the fact to them!!!!! They left banging on the reception door, just as they did with the room throughout the night, without any kind of warning This is not a hotel where your rest is assured

Kaila Chipman

For the price this was a really good place Our AC kicked the bucket and we needed needed a last minute place to stay until it was fixed but we werent sure how long the wait was so we picked to stay a week for the time being We had a false alarm and planned to check out early and the staff was very understanding when we cancelled and reinstated our week stay

We ended up only needing to stay 4 nights so the staff was again very polite and understanding to our stay agreement My husband and kids loved the pillows and blankets The room was very clean and pretty spaciousMy complaints about the room/stay was whatever chemicals they use to clean, i dont care for the smell Its hard to get ahold of someone at the front desk The mattresses were too firm for my comfort, the ac didnt cool the room as much as id hoped, the water pressure wasnt the greatest and room service was a little confusing The tv also didnt get very loud and it was very hard for me to hear it over the ac and being hard of hearingMy complaints are all very minor issues and the room/stay was over all very acceptable The free breakfast and coffee was amazing as well Fresh and lots of options even for picky eaters Id deff stay here again if i needed to

It is a nice hotel but our experience so far has been less than idealMinimal choices for breakfast and every room has had animals in it A very pet friendly hotel

I prefer to stay in rooms that do not allow animals People with allergies take noticeLast night there was a large dog that kept barking, waking us up My husband called the desk multiple times and by 3:30, the dog was quiet, or we passed out from exhaustionWe paid for another night I hope it’s betterI give it a three because the room is nice2nd night was good and a good breakfastChanged to four stars

3Gen TV

Cold A/C , comfortable bed and great breakfast! Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, and waffles! Definitely do yourself a favor and try the wafflesWill warn you if you are coming from a discount site, they don’t tell you about the room deposit of 10000

It was returned pretty quickly after checking the room but just an FYI

Courtney Bruno, the manager is amazing She is so kind and has great people skills The hotel was clean and well-kept

We were very impressed with the pool and hot tub and the cleanliness of the bathrooms Everything seems top-notch and we will be recommending all family and friends to stay here in the future Courtney went the extra mile to make sure that we were happy Kudos to whomever hired her, trained her and we sure hope you give her a raise She’s worth it!

Lisa Cowan (Redhead Foodie)

I received a call from the manager the day we were supposed to arrive informing me they had a hot water heater bust and ask if they could upgrade us to a king suite (we needed two beds) with a sofa pull out I said that was fine The said she would add extra reward member points to my account for being accommodating

When we arrived the manager thanked me again for being accommodating The hotel lobby was very clean and so was our room I had called customer service for IHG to help me get logged into my account She was showing I had two accounts but couldn’t help me get logged into my account Our phone call was disconnected and she didn’t bother calling me back I went to the front desk of the hotel and Dee (front desk manager) to explain the issues I was having logged in She told me I had two member ID numbers She tried to add my email address so I could reset my password At first she was unsuccessful but kept trying I received a text from her that she was able to send me a email in order to reset my password Dee was very helpful and very nice I would recommend staying at Holiday Inn in Longview TX

We traveled from Tennessee to Longview to visit some of my girlfriends family and friends for her birthday Our check in was very easy, our room was CLEAN!! And I mean clean y’all It was a nice size (we had a double Queen room) the bathroom was also spacious

Breakfast was the same everyday but pretty good They mentioned that you can also order items from the restaurants menu like ( pancakes, waffles, steak, etc…) but the whole time I was there we couldn’t because the chef was preparing for a big event The pool was ok… It just seems pretty dark in the pool room, but the pool itself was nice The best part is that the hotel is located near EVERYTHING The mall, chucke cheese, Walmart, target so that was very convenient When I do visit I will be staying here again

Stay somewhere else! I nicknamed this hotel “Discomfort Suites” and my husband called it “Mildew Manor” The rooms (we were assigned one and switched to another) smelled musty and caused allergy symptoms Our room stayed sticky-feeling — East Texas is HUMID — but this wasn’t a problem elsewhere around town

We opened the window (it was 100 degrees out) and that made it betterIt was clean — thank you, housekeeping! — and the bed was fairly comfortable Like so many places, it seemed understaffed — we often couldn’t find someone, like to ask about breakfast issues or where to get ice (there is only one working ice machine, apparently, and it’s on the first floor) There is Wi-Fi and cable TV but no streaming on the small televisionThere is some problem with the pool and apparently a leak through the property — the downstairs conference room had a fan running to dry it out and water damage seemed to go through the whole place Our first room (on 3rd floor) smelled strongly of mildew, especially in the bathroom (nearest the hall) and the door wouldn’t close We changed rooms and noticed that in the hall by our original room and the next, the wainscoting was removed and covered with black plastic — this was on the side above the poolThe fixtures throughout our room were worn — the tiles in the bathroom were cracked all across the floor, there were stains on the couch and pink stains (mold?) on the wallpaper in the bathroom The towels were small, thin and mismatched The sink and tub had no drain covers, just holes No niceties like tissue (there was a holder for the tissue box but no tissue box) or lotion The tiles in the elevator were cracked too In the public men’s room on the first floor there was no soap and the toilet wasn’t attached to the floorWe didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel but did go down for beverages in the mornings On day 1, I grabbed a cup of orange juice and brought it up to our room I took one sip and realized it was thin yet extremely pulpy, and worst of all it was warm! A food safety hazard, not to mention gross Day 2 my husband went down to get coffee and a cup of tea, or hot water, for me There were tea bags and a vacuum dispenser marked “Hot Water,” but the water in it was cold He waited a few minutes but could not find anyone to ask about the hot water, so we wound up heating some in our in-room coffee makerThe lobby is nice and the door said it would be locked after 9 pm but it wasn’t The pool wasn’t working and online reviews say it hasn’t been since last NovemberIt looks like the hotel is usually well under $100 We paid well over $100, I suspect because it was a theater festival weekend, and it was so not worth it

Teresa Busby

Not clean door to room would not stay shut even when locked, no complimentary any thing(coffee etc)Pool not usable Please someone needs to save this place??? We recommended to relatives from out of state, they were afraid to stay there and after checking in had to change motels??

Alyssa Eberle

Was horrible I checked in went to grab dinner came back went up to my room and it was disgusting went back to the front and let them know they gave me another room went back up to the second room and believe it or not that one was nasty to! Asked for a refund and the woman working wanting to beat around the bush wanted to see the rooms she went and looked at them seen for herself they was not clean

Said she give a refund requested the refund but put it on hold then took the money out the bank Andy way Very frustrating very complicated And the company I was there with will not be returning and neither will I! Very disappointed

I had just stayed here and I was very happy with the high level of service and quality of room When I checked in, the man at the desk asked if I’ve ever stayed at this kind of Hilton I stated that I had not and he explained what to expect

The breakfast was OK but I didn’t get to try much as it was being swarmed The only con I have is the second floor squeaked and I hard every footstep

Greg Mclendon

Motel is nice We got the suite so had 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms Will say though for the price I paid was highly disappointed in the shower water pressure

I could pee harder than it sprayed The toilets flush very loud But room was super clean and beds very comfortable just sucks to wake up to a shower ya can barely get wet and wash with

Ziggy The Chihuahua

We booked several rooms for a corporate event and it was the worst experience I have ever had when it comes to customer service They charged an employee for his room when it had already been paid for and then to get his money back we had to drive 2 hours so they could process the card in person Then while performing my monthly expense report I realized they charged the room for the night we booked instead of the night we stayed and they refuse to refund my money

I work for a very large corporation that typically recommends us to use Hilton hotels but moving forward I think we will book with Marriott in the Texas, Louisiana MarketI forgot to mention when I called customer service to get this resolved Sophia not only left me on hold for more than 20 minutes total she also was unable to do anything Very poor customer service all the way around

Absolutely great staff! We were lucky enough to stay a while House keepers we’re super helpful and friendly also front desk nice as could beOnly issue I had was laundry services didn’t work! My room looked like it has been broken into like pry marks in door frame

Pool was nice, and beautiful patio, but the outdoor kitchen is just a beautiful decoration and didn’t work Several rooms had broken ac Ac doesn’t work in hall ways and elevator are very hotThey ran out of everything for breakfast including regular coffee, waffle mix, and fruitsOver all it’s overdue for some upgradesIt’s probably time for this hotel to go down a brand name Beautifully broken hotelLocation was so great Walmart Sam’s and Target super close

Kimlyn Willams

I was so looking forward to an awesome whirlpool experience; however, that didn’t happen because the jets didn’t work But other than that we had an alright day cation Friendly service, very clean

Various sitting areas A variety of delicious hot/cold breakfast options My husband and I enjoyed our own personalized Bed in Breakfast

Matthew Williams

The manager who runs this place is top shelf, and she really takes care of youOther than that good luck I worked a two week hitch on nights and I was repeatedly woke up by incompetent hotel staff, every other day, usually a couple times a day

It’s not complicated I should be able to sleep until 2pm, and the staff should be able to clean my room after that The staff don’t care if I have my DO NOT DISTURB hanger up either They just want to scratch my room off their listI work 16 hours a day/night, I need my sleep Today is the last day of my hitch, and I was told that check out is at 11am when I called and asked why the staff had knocked on my door 3 times They won’t let you have a late checkout even if you’re working nights I only wanted to sleep until 2pm and grab all my stuff and check out before 3pm The lady working at the front desk can’t wrap her mind around that

Hotel was clean and the staff on site during the visit were pleasant and helpful We reserved a 2 bedroom suite in a block of rooms for a wedding at a discounted rate When we arrived they had given the room away to someone else for a higher price without checking with us (we would have paid the higher rate)

So four of us had to figure out how to sleep with one bed They offered an airbed but we made due with one kid on the couch and one on the chaise lounge Also, with two 7 year old kids the only great thing about a hotel is the swimming pool, which was out of order due to chemical levels all three days we were there

Mark

The room was nice It did need to be maintained better The fact that the toilet seat would not stay up was annoying

The included breakfast was very disappointing, to say the least No pancakes or waffles No bacon They had box eggs and sausage I didn’t see much of anything It was Really limitedThe coffee was good We travel frequently and stay at IHG most of the time

Check in is at 3, I had a short window to put all my luggage in my room before we had to leave to get to the baseball fields for a tournament Upon arriving @ 3 I gave my name to check in and after a few minutes on the computer and 2 workers looking at the computer they told me I could sit down while they “wait to figure it out” After a few minutes they told me my room was not ready yet and it was still being cleaned and I would have to wait

I understand being short staffed happens etc so it didn’t bother me but I was on a time crunch I waited until 3:25 before I got my kids and things and left the lobby because my room was still not ready and I had to go back to the baseball fields ASAP After the games and coming back to the hotel to check in again (this was around 3-4 hours later so the room should have been cleaned then) I was told that they had tried to reach me multiple times (i had zero missed calls and my phone service was working fine at the fields) and that they had no room available for me BUT they had told me when I first checked in MY room was being cleaned? I told them I had paid a week in advance for my room, to which i was told that they were not “seeing that I had paid” I chose to pay the hotel in advance vs waiting until arrival to be charged and I had an invoice showing my card that was used They said if I booked at a third party maybe that’s why and I had to contact them (expedia) I explained to expedia if i could cancel reservation and get a refund and they told me the hotel had a penalty for same day cancellations so expedia had to call them to waive the fee for that Expedia told me I would get the full refund (but i was told my card was never charged) I also think because I did not stay there more than 30 minutes in the lobby to wait for my room (if i did have a room available) they may have given the room to someone else because I left, even though i PAID for my room in advance If i pay for a room, I don’t care if you see me leave the lobby that does not mean GIVE MY ROOM UP and if it was the case that they overbooked I paid in advance first at least tell me that vs making me wait in the lobby saying my room is being cleaned when there was no room available at all I was 2 hours away from home stranded with a toddler and 9 year old and had to get a hotel 40 minutes away and didn’t get there till after 10:30 because everything was booked

Our stay was March 2022 and the hotel seemed reasonably new so like most Hilton’s it was generally quite nice Decaf coffee at the coffee bar! +1star The stupid sliding door to close off the bathroom (the reason we quit staying at Hampton Inns a few years ago) And no vent fan in the bathroom -1star Either Covid has given the hotels an excuse for downsizing staff or they are having trouble hiring

The front desk was unmanned much of the time Also no restaurant or bar in the evening -1star They had started up breakfast service again Despite the three star rating we would not hesitate to stay again
