Very friendly staff, rooms are spacious and comfortable The in-room kitchen is quite adequate, and additional kitchen appliances are available for more ambitious cooking projects The location is favorable

There is no restaurant and no breakfast The shop in the hotel offers a limited amount of micro-waveable fare It appears that there are no dining or shopping opportunities within walking distance I could be happy staying here for a prolonged period

Christina at the Westin Governor Morris was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was always so responsive, answered all my questions in a timely manner, and was so organized The Westin in newly renovated and looks gorgeous! It is sleek and the chandeliers when you walk in are breathtaking! I was able to drop off my guest hotel bags any day the week of my wedding which was super easy and accommodating! The Westin provided shuttle services to/from my venue and there was no complaints We also had a breakfast the day after my wedding which was delicious! This hotel really welcomes their guests with warmth and respect

Would recommend to anyone!!

Pretty hotel with that old charm The building is old though and I’m writing this review at 4am because as comfy as the heavenly bed is, the room is way too hot and I can’t get the AC to work right I’m not the only one with this problem

This morning another guest was telling me she had the same problem in her room while we rode the elevator down to the lobby Maybe something to be expected, given the age of the place? The hotel restaurant food isn’t great Better options downtown Morristown, just up the streetHotel staff was great, the grounds are gorgeous, and old building makes the idiosyncrasies tolerable…but I’d do anything to be able to open a window right about now…

A group of us booked 3 separate rooms 4 months before an upcoming wedding, and ALL of our rooms were canceled last minute They told us they would help us rebook at another hotel, but when we called they said they wouldn’t help us Like what the hell? It’d be fine if they canceled us way in advanced, but no they canceled 2 weeks before the trip and at this point most of the other hotels around that area seem to be booked out for other events

Absolutely terrible customer service, never even looking at another Sonesta hotel in the future

Jeeca Cabral

I definitely don’t see how people have given this place 4 and 5 stars I’ve spent nights at the Wyndham in different states and can say my boyfriend and I were very disappointed The room had NO mini fridge

The drain to the shower was clogged so every time we showered the tub filled up The curtain in the bathroom had a old dirty rag musty smell that was a little nauseating Found hairs in the shower the first night I am a pretty tall female so I can’t imagine what it’s like for someone shorter than me to access the safe It was in the closet on the top shelf I couldn’t see if anything was in it and struggled to even put my purse in it and locking it Tennis court was horrible Basketball court was used for employee parking Elevator didn’t seem to secure, you could barely push the buttons without the panel moving with itThe good things about the hotel was the television stations were good, the air conditioner worked fine, had hot water when showering, gym had good equipment

Moza Miller

We had Excellent service here The spa was clean with plenty of towels The rooms were spotless

The room also turned out to look better than the photos you see online The linen is very clean and soft The toiletries are very soothing to the skin The beds and pillows are very comfortable The doors are wide enough for wheelchair access even if a handicapped access room isn’t available Their onsite restaurant have a variety of food and drink and stays open late Also the dining room have some 😋 delicious food If you come back from a late venue like we did the hotel has the menu for a nearby restaurant that delivers to the hotel and they make some spectacular food This hotel staff go over and above to make sure your stay is comfortable If I’m ever in the NY/NJ area again I will definitely stay here again

Great area, easy to find (other side of the Hilton)Clean, friendly helpful staff, clean hotel & rooms Plenty of parking, very nice breakfastEasy to get to things in the area

Would definitely stay here again in the areaThere are nice parts of Jersey!!

Kassie Rodden

The lobby smelled like mold or old cigarette smoke It appears they tried to modernizing the decor to match connecting Hilton but it’s still a bit lacking Our room was clean but dated

There are small indoor and outdoor pools and an even smaller hot tub But, the pool area is NOT well maintained We came in and it was over crowded, people blasting music loudly, trash, food and dirty nappies laying at pool side – no one came to walk through or check The hot tub was disgusting! Literally gray water with stuff floating in it and only half full – jest barely working No towels because people had taken and no one from the hotel has come to refill Welcome at check in was so-so We travel a lot for sports/kids activities and I’ve stayed in cheaper hotels that were much more well run and tidy There are fast food places near by but I saw more options and better restaurants in Morristown abut 11 minutes away We couldn’t turn off the wall unit air – it was blasting the whole time The microwave in the room is VERY antiquated and didn’t work to even make a bowl of ramen The fridge in the room remained warm despite trying to change the temp Overall, I’m just very unhappy with what is offered for the price

Minzhi Wang

I’m a member of Hilton Hours and reserved a regular room for my son’s tournament But we got a suite when we got in the hotel We had a digital key, nothing needed to go to front desk, check-in/checkout are all done via the app, very convenient

Service is also excellent The common issue is they have only one chair in the bedroom, although there are a breakfast table in the living room, with no chairs However it didn’t matter to us

One recommendation in breakfast – They can provide hot breakfast, atleast the omlette can be given hot But still Grab and Go breakfast was very good Thank you Team

luvmec4rti :p

the staff are so kind (especially front desk) & the rooms are amazing, they give you generous amounts of shower supplies (not like those super tiny bottles at other places), the rooms are very clean, the kitchen area comes with a microwave, coffee pot, and silverware + plates/bowls this is my second time here and i’ve loved it both times, looking forward to staying here again, definitely recommend!

Erin was fantastic to work with! She answered every phone call we made We had a huge wedding and needed a lot of rooms We also needed a hair and makeup room and a room for brunch the next day

Our friends and family can’t stop talking about how elegant the Archer was Our wedding used the pool, the bar area, and it was centrally located to everything The shuttles picked up our guests timely for our wedding at the Crystal Plaza only a short 10 minute drive away The Archer even gave us a wedding gift which we will treasure in our new home we just bought If you’re looking to be treated like royalty, book the Archer and ask for Erin!-Rachel and Adam Marcus

Madeleine Brown

We really enjoyed our one night stay for a wedding Front desk staff was pleasant and efficient and were able to check us in early The hotel has a great esthetic and the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with lots of nice touches like books at the bedside and complimentary salted caramels and water

Would recommend and would stay again

Violet Kitsune

We booked this hotel to attend a wedding Overall the place was pleasant and comfortable, and everything was clean The only complaint is that the staff were a bit lacking in hospitality; we were presented with a check for breakfast as soon as we sat down, and I requested an item only for it to be brought up hours later

Other than the minor complaints, we enjoyed our stay

We booked a wedding block of rooms for my daughter’s wedding, after the previous one we had booked over a year ago cancelled our bookings about 6 weeks before the wedding because of lack of A/C Worked with Jennifer in Sales who couldn’t have been more helpful in making the transfer of rooms seamless; our guests did not have to rebook but just received an email with a new confirmation The hotel was beautiful, rooms were great, and the continental breakfast the next morning was in a private room, well staffed, and more than adequate

Jennifer relieved the stress of this snafu and I am grateful!

Jyoti Suryadevara

We used the Hilton Parsippany to host our wedding guests The Hotel was great in setting up a wedding block and working with us to add more rooms even 2 days before the big day! Amanda was great and worked behind the scenes to make sure everything was running smoothly The restaurants at the hotel were all open

The steakhouse is great and super convenient for a latte night meal The lobby bar was open and the cocktails are great! All the staff were nice! My guests and myself are very happy with the our weekend experience

Marybeth Kelly

Very poor experience Upon check in, no carts available for luggage No bell staff

Had to lug a car full to room Ordered Instacart Brought half up to room, by the time we returned other half was missing Talked with front desk about cameras They stated cameras were only in monitoring front door I explained that’s where ours delivery was dropped off She went to back and came out 10 minutes later and said nothing was seen Rooms were absolutely filthy No housekeeping service accept a morning round of cleaning up halls full of food Strong stench Housekeepers were very pleasant and accommodating when seen one round a day Staff sleeping at front desk early in the morning It would only make sense to have one of them make a quick round on the 6 floors overnight to clean hall trash Gym equipment Broken and very minimal Could not get home soon enough If we weren’t here for an event, we would have left immediately upon arrival Disgusting We all felt sick in the room and would rather catch fresh air outside in the heat wave Don’t go to this hotel

A true gem for either business or personal stay We have stayed here numerous times due to working late and love it The owners are genuine and gracious hosts with great conversation

Cant wait to come back when the weather turns to sit on the porch while having my morning tea Perfect place for a long weekend getaway or business stay while enjoying the best of what Downtown Summit has to offer Thank you, Michelle & Nicholas

I was able to live comfortably as if I had come home Although the inn is over 100 years old, it is clean and the rooms are modern and It is a 5 minute walk to Summit DowntownThe staff are friendly and nice to sit in the garden at night for a beer

Especially, the strong wi-fi is good for simple jobs, both cell phone and notebook(laptop) work fine The water pressure in the shower is a bit weak^^*I miss the cool breeze of the garden

We spent our 50th anniversary weekend at the DeBary Inn in Summit and Innkeepers Lee and Sharon went above and beyond to ensure we had an experience to remember From the warm welcome to the beautiful surroundings and special attention they give to all guests, we highly recommend anyone going to Summit to make this a part of their visit! Suite 17 was the perfect accommodations and a place to call home for the weekend (the bed was the most comfortable we have encountered in our travels!) We went to the Papermill Playhouse for a show which was only 8 minutes away and the Inn is perfectly situated walking distance to town with numerous restaurants, shops and the train station The owners purchased the Inn one year ago and have updated it and made it beautiful, comfortable and a home away from home

We look forward to returning for what we know will be another memorable stay!

Double room was perfect for our family Beds are very comfortable, room and facility are very clean Staff is super friendly and helpful

The complimentary breakfast that came with our room was delicious There was scrambled and boiled eggs, bread, bagels, cereal, muffins, sausage, fried potatoes, waffles, fruits, yogurt and beverages I am a big breakfast person, so that is really important for meThis hotel is also pet friendly, just check sign them the pet feeOverall, great place to stay near downtown Morristown It is about 10-15 minutes walk to downtown

Jeri Goodman

This hotel is a gem Front desk staff was very welcoming Our room was large and clean, with a super comfortable bed

Coffee and tea always available in the lobby Nice breakfast room with lots of choices, and Winston, the breakfast attendant, was great and even made me a Belgian waffle (which I usually totally mess up on my own!)

Taylor Wisler

Good older hotel A lot of things have a Colonial style and the rooms feel very old fashioned Breakfast is ok, not as good as other similarly priced hot breakfasts in my experience

Staff is pretty friendly and location is good It’s not right next to all the bars and restaurants in downtown Morristown but it’s close enough to walk if you aren’t in a rush

The staff was incredibly nice and hospitable The prices were fantastic for the quality of this hotel Altogether a great place to stay!

The hallways smelled Really awful on the 2nd and 3rd floor**It is not really a hotel flaw, so I can’t blame them for that I found out while looking for an ice machine, which they don’t have even though the map (blurry due to casing being matte) by the elevator mentions “Ice” with no indication of where it actually is

I believe someone cooked extremely strong scented ethnic foodAlso, I’m assuming that they Had ice machines at one point and got rid of the machine due to the pandemic or something else No ice machines to be found on any of the floors Nonetheless, the employee in the kitchen on the first floor by the bar was nice enough to give us iceThe hallways need to be ventilated or something, the smell was very strong and stale air Other than that, the rooms are very clean and there was minor wear and tear, but nothing that I can imagine would bother anyone unless you’re a perfectionistThe kitchen was stocked with some cups, plates, a cheese grater, fridge, etc Seems fine for 1-2 people max Rooms are very small, but comfortable1 star for odor in hallways and elevators (deducted from “Rooms”)0 star for the view behind the hotel 😂 it’s a construction site or a recent demolition Again, not really the hotels fault and that’s not exactly a deal breaker for people who are just visiting the area short-term or need a place to crash for the night

Aaron Guzman

Horrible experience here Before booking I called and spoke to manager to clarify check in and check out policy, all seemed wellUpon arriving, the woman at the desk “couldn’t find” the reservation I had paid for in advance

Eventually she found it, room is nice but the dishes dishes were not clean and there was trash in the couch crevicesNow three days later I need to check out 1 day early, as discussed before hand The woman who was at the counter this time was much more helpful and polite, props to herAll of a sudden the smug manager (same guy I spoke with before booking) comes out and begins explaining that he won’t allow me to check out early as discussedUpon reviewing both of our sets of notes and asking for further clarification the manager was unable to show me the policy he’s referencing and refused to pull up the call recordings where he claims he told me otherwiseHe said “it would be a lot of work to pull up that call”I guess when something requires work they just don’t do it…As a business owner myself, I can say, this is not how you treat customersThis was a simple bait and switch to force me to pay for the additional night that I did not need, since the beginningAlso, although I clicked “no housekeeping” when I booked online, housekeepers walked in on me while I was sleeping this morning

First room had AC that sounded like was about to blast off Front desk staff is wonderful and amazingly friendly 2nd room AC barely works

Been set at lowest possible temp for 3 days and not got below 72 degrees… at least this one didn’t sound like the rocket ship While my room was pretty sharp in cleanliness, my colleagues experience a roach in room, and the other had multiple hairs in his bathroom Times are hard and we get You have found some great people for your desk which is really challenging, let’s move on to the maintenance team now! Very surprised this is the highest rated hotel in the area and all 4 rooms experienced 4 unique and really poor challenges that could be fixed easily Please get it back together so we have a good place to stay! I want you to know that you do have the friendliest staff we have encountered in months, so kudos to the team!

Honestly, was possibly the worst hotel I’ve stayed at Everything was sketchy I booked on Expedia and was hoping for the best

The beginning of check in was sketchy when they said they held payments but didn’t tell me the amount they were holding and it still hasn’t shown up 3 days later on my bank statements at all but money is missing from my account The room was OK at best It was a 2 star hotel cloaking itself in a 4 star wanna be rating The pool was lacking space The personal working just wanted people in and out It’s money pit hotel that I would never trust again and I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you have a company paying for you I guess

B W

Friendly, efficient check-in staff Room seemed clean except for the wad of gum on the wall beneath a picture frame in the bathroomTV channels mostly non-existent unless you are a subscriber to certain networks like Netflix, showtime, etc

ice machines all turned off (still Covid restrictions? Have stayed in other places recently where this isn’t the case) WiFi kept dropping 6am alarm was NOT set by me and was certainly not appreciated It wasn’t intuitive or apparent how to keep the alarm from sounding every 9 minutes, so we had to pull the night stand out to find a way to unplug it And of course, could not go back to sleep

Bed was made and everything appeared clean however upon closer inspection the toilet was not cleaned as their was visible uncleanliness in the toilet bowl The kitchen was clean however they did not replenish the dish washing soap as it was half used and the cap was still opened The shower was very small but not a problem and they gave us two conditioners instead of a shampoo and conditioner No biggie though as we had brought our own The queen bed felt more like a full The pull out couch mattress was stained and there were no extra sheets in the room so I suppose you’d have to ask in advance for this The staff was friendly and the facility was fair Not too bad for a quick place to stay but we wish we chose another location

I am currently staying at this hotel with my husband We checked in on August 1 and I had surgery at the nearby Morristown Medical Center This almost 3-week reservation was made months in advance and I corresponded with the hotel about the reasons for our stay

I requested an early check-in and a room with a shower seatWe were allowed to check-in early for a $45 fee There was no shower chair, and the microwave oven didn’t heat It did make the microwave noise The white cabinets are permanently discolored in our room, as is the carpet, with something that looks like maybe red permanent markerThe broken microwave was quickly replaced and when we asked for a toaster (listed in the room amenities) we were provided with oneThe dishwasher does not work very well, with even a shallow glass, cutlery or lightly stained plate still slightly dirty after a full cycleI thought things were going to go well after talking to the very kind manager, Vince, about arranging to have the same person clean the room during the second week of our stay, at roughly the same time Due to my condition, I could only leave the room for fairly short periods, and we also wanted to express our appreciation to an individual housekeeper at the end of our stayUnfortunately, this did not work out at all My husband informed the front desk that he was going to pick me up at the hospital and asked for the room to be cleaned within the next several hours, but when we arrived back at the hotel 3+ hours after that request, the room wasn’t ready I sat on the sofa in the room until someone finally came and did the housekeepingOn another day, we just requested fresh sheets and towels and my husband did that and the cleaning and dustingHowever, we are humans and our socks unravel and we drop potato chips on the floor so sometimes we really needed someone to vacuumOn Friday, heading out to a doctor’s appointment in NYC, we again requested for the room to be cleaned while we were out -sometime in the next 3 hours, but when we returned we were disappointedThis morning (Sunday) we went out at 11 after speaking directly with our housekeeper explaining that we were leaving expressly so that the room could be cleaned We wandered New Jersey in the car for 3 hours and – you guessed it— came back to a room that had been untouchedI sat in the air-conditioning of our car while my husband found someone to get someone to clean the roomIt’s been pretty frustrating, although the day after I came back from the hospital, Vince was nice enough to call to apologize about the room not being readyWe have 5 more nights left here at this hotel I wouldn’t stay here again

What a beautiful hotel! We stayed for 2 night while attending the Darkside of the Con and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay The staff was super friendly and helpful, beds were comfy, and breakfast was delicious Rooms were spacious and clean

After standing in line for 2 hours at the airport I was given a voucher at 2am to stay here ZEKE AT THE FRONT DESK does not represent what I thought customer service and Marriott treatment came with He treated us poorly

He disregarded our vouchers with his exact hotel and address on it He was the exact worst person I’ve ever encountered in hospitality He also tried to prevent the shuttle that he sent to pick us up to drop us back at the airport

The bed was not comfortable never got upgraded no microwave was in the room Never was addressed for being a Titanium member Just handed me my keys and I had to ask where the elevator was

I was not told about anything The customer service was not friendly at all The young lady in the Bistro was very niceUpon check out at 2:30 in the am the two ladies at the front desk were not very inviting They seemed like they didn’t want to be bothered Being that I work night audit I look at other people when I stay at Marriott property and try to add or not do some of the things I see The rooms were very clean A+ housekeeping And promptly bringing towels was a plus Customer service and being friendly needs work

After staying in many many hotels this one has got to be at the top of my favorite Grandly unique and ornate I enjoyed walking around and seeing the history and art of the place

The room was comfortable and fashionable The pool was absolutely my favorite part and I went first thing in the morning so I was lucky enough to have it all to myself The only quorum I have is with the front desk staff A little bit of an attitude and when I asked for assistance it took a little due to the conversation the two ladies were having Overall though, highly highly recommend

Nil Chalfant

The rooms are a great size and very spacious I didn’t realize when I booked that it was an extremely popular wedding spot There was an private event every evening during the week, which I am sure is perfect for those attending

Not so great for everyone else The overall quality of the extras (soaps, breakfast, refreshments) is below average, imo They do have a dated, but cozy elegance and I enjoyed the fun pineapple them throughout the hotel

Christian DeVaul

Easily the worst “5-star” hotel experience I’ve ever had The TV didn’t work at all, breakfast was just cold hard-boiled eggs, and I’ve had a more luxurious room at a Holiday Inn I highly recommend staying at the Hyatt instead, weddings are great here I’m sure, but everything else is disgraceful! The “2 restaurants” are really only one restaurant with a hybrid menu? Which makes absolutely no sense

But the staff seemed nice at least

Remember to use ʜoᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏᴄᴏm when booking a resort They compare hundreds of booking websites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is the best rated in this area

The room they placed me is a connection room, meaning that they split a single room into two parts and mine is one of them There is completely no soundproof During the second night I stayed there, the guest next door checked in very late (1am in the morning) and the sound they made when taking a shower woke me up

I went to the front desk to complain and they told me there was nothing they could do because the hotel was fully booked Throughout the night I couldn’t sleep because that guest had his TV turned on (but it’s his right, I cannot complain about that) After my trip when I called their manager to ask for refund for that night, the manager was very rude and claimed that they don’t consider this to be an issue hence refuse the refund Therefore my suggestion is: never try this hotel if you want to have a good sleep!

Exceeded my expectations with some of the mixed reviews here Excellent cleanliness, good maintenance, felt welcome & safe Requests over the app were promptly acknowledged and handled, service professional

Quiet room Didn’t try in-house dining but I’m not crazy about “The Bistro” in general – not their fault Look forward to staying again ASAP! Thanks, Brick City Courtyard!!! ❤

Queenie Jordan

I enjoy this hotel because it’s downtown so it’s close to everything I’m gonna need to do in walking distance The air conditioner wasn’t really doing it’s job and the tissue could be better quality

So, you should probably bring your own They have nice bottles in the shower you can use for washing, and your hair That was a new thing Compared to last year this was a better experience

Davon Diehl

Definitely a good idea putting such a high quality hotel in the heart of Newark Pretty pricey but worth it Super clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, views are amazing, and many surrounding stores for just about anything you might find that you need

And right next to the Prudential Center which is awesome if you plan on making your stay that much more memorable Anything that helps highlight the great city of Newark I’m all for and this place does just that
